Today was a contract AC check.  Leslie Citrone and Ricardo were here for a detailed and thorough check for my AC unit.  They both were very informative on their findings explaining terms that I did not understand.  My house is being inspected tomorrow for the sale and this scheduled visit was so timely. Great customer service! The technicians are friendly and efficient. Every time I call them they typically show up, diagnose the problem, and fix it all within the same 8 hour work day. Wouldn't hire anyone else.

I requested a quote online and received one within 15 minutes. They had a plumber out the same day and resolved and issue with the waterline in the front of my house. Great service!

Great experience with everyone I've met here. Special shoutouts to Mike who has come out to our house a couple times for maintenance/diagnostics. No upselling here; just an individualized common sense approach that you don't always get with other companies. I have two AC units and have to get them checked annually to maintain a Trane manufacturer extended warranty.  I had been using a company called Bob Brown Service Experts, but I got tired of the no-call no-shows and poor customer service (See my 2-Star review of them on YELP as well.)  I decided to pick another company and selected Hays based upon the number of excellent reviews.

I called and scheduled an appointment.  A pleasant young woman took my info and said that I would be getting an email with picture of the tech the day of the service.  I never received the email, but did get a phone call about 45 minutes prior to arrival.  (4/8/16 Update: the email with technician picture was found in my junk mail.) Jerry was the tech.  I found him  to be pleasant and professional.  He took pride in his work and spoke highly of his company.  He went into the attic and checked the air handlers.  This took around 20 minutes per side.  Then he went outside and checked the ground units.  Freon and capacitors checked out to be fine.  Jerry had to use new screws to attach covers, as the previous screws were a little stripped.  Total time spent at my house was around 1.5-2 hours.  The cost $79 per unit.

Constructive criticism:  My previous company charged around $100-$120 to check both units and to me seemed to do a little more.  My previous company would blow out the condensate lines then pour water down the lines to ensure that they are open.  This company did not do that.  This company's website also says that a tune-up includes oiling the blower and outdoor fan motors.  I watched closely and did not see this done.  The site also says the indoor coils would be checked for buildup.  This also was not done.  I was never asked about my indoor filters or if I would like them to be changed.  The site says a 33 point inspection...I don't think so...maybe next time.  I should have asked up-front for what my $80 service per unit included.  I feel that the price is a little too high for what I received.  If I am going to spend that much, a company had better do what is says it will do.  It would also be nice to get a discount for a second unit as the tech is already on-site.  I asked the technician about a discount for a second unit, and he commented that the service fee was already discounted.  I knew the price going in so I did not make it an issue.

A second issue I had was the arrangement for payment.  The technician was required to manually punch in my credit card number into a tablet-type device, including my 3 digit security code.  In no way do I think Jerry would try to do anything illegal, such as stealing credit card information.  I have had other companies do service at my house and like it when the technician simply swipes my card, bills wirelessly, and never sees my full credit card number long enough to write it down.  Only the last four digits of my credit card appear on the receipt visible to the technician.  (4/8/16 Update:  I am watching my credit card statement, and still have not seen the transaction appear.  I do not like this.  The transaction supposedly took place a few days ago.  Why no record?  I'm feeling a little uncomfortable.4/8/16 Update:  I called to inquire and was informed that Jerry's machine/swiper was broken and that my credit card will be billed manually next week when Jerry comes into the office. Little awkward.  I guess I will be watching next week for the transaction.)

Over-all, I generously rated this company 4 out of 5 stars, as I saw definite room for improvement.  Based on the service and price, I guess I am a little hesitant about whether on not to use them next year for tune-ups.  My units were already in top-notch condition and needed no repairs.

They came.  They looked at our job.  They said they would look for parts.  They did nothing.  No call.  We got another contractor to do the job at half the price Goettl quoted us.  Beautiful work.  Avoid Goettl.  They are a money pit.

Called office to get Freon pricing as unit has a slow leak.   Huge difference in price if you don't ask.  said couldn't give me freon pricing and had to send a technician. Here's your sign.  Going with Semper Fi.

We needed a lot of plumbing work done so called them once again. Always have been pleased with their work. Bob McKean accomplished a ton of work for us, Replaced a disposal, redid the kitchen plumbing that was deteriorating, installed new kitchen faucet, replaced both bathroom faucets. Took an afternoon to accomplish. Bob is a real expert, informative and knows plumbing. Friendly and personable too. Will ask for Bob in the future.
Quality of our Delta faucets, which were not cheap, was not up to par. The stopper does not open or close properly. Called Reddi but they could not fix adequately, Plastic parts easily broken are the problem. We have to manually use stopper.

Needed a new water heater and decided to get a fancy Navien machine to replace the rusting 90's tank in my garage. They were able to come in and hook everything up well despite some unexpected issues making it a single day event.

Had a Nest thermostat installed. Six Star is a certified Nest provider which was a huge help. As is usually the case, there was a glitch after installation as far as getting my phone to talk to the thermostat.  Most service folks would have said ok..the thermostat is working, now all you need to do is set up an account online and follow their instructions and walk out the door.  But Ralph stayed until he was sure the cycle was complete and even called a technician for me to walk me through the process!  I highly recommend Six Star if you want thorough service and will call them again if I have any Air Conditioner needs!

I've been working with Forrest Anderson for over 5 years.  They impressed me first when I had gone through three different companies to diagnose a problem of why the air was not flowing and cooling a space I was renting.  They came out and said it was nothing to do with the AC units but with the leaky ducting. No one else even considered that.  They fixed the problem immediately and it was reasonable.  Since then I think I've used them a dozen times at different commercial locations and every time I get the same great service.  As far as price goes I usually don't compare anymore because I really do trust them, but if I have any questions about costs they are always open to saving me money by doing things a little different.  You will not go wrong by trying them out.  Branden is the person I deal with but the staff are equally nice also.

James came and conducted an inspection on our home ac units today, he was courteous, professional and certainly knew what he was talking about. Best of all he didn't try to upsell me on something i wouldnt need; honesty like that gets my vote everytime! hands down a great service, I'll certainly be using Arizona Dukes of Air again and referring them too!

Water leak in wall. Tucker brought a camera but not a FLIR or moisture meter. Recommend asking whoever comes out to find your leak has all three tools, Tucker would not have known where to look if not for a different restoration company coming out with more tools to find the source.

Tucker replaced a leaking exposed attic PEX-to-copper joint for $500, which ended up being close to 2 hours work.

They did not bring a ladder despite being told ahead of time the leak was in the attic. Luckily I had a ladder they could borrow.

They did quality work for a pretty standard task. Up to you to decide if $250 per man hour is a fair price for plumbing work.

They needed a fair amount of help with tools for an outfit charging bespoke prices.
