Had an appt for 7am. They called my house at 5:08 pm the night before and I was out of town  and  did not come home till late . They did not show up the next day  for my 7am appt . Apparently because I did not confirm!! But I also did not cancel !!! Dispatch Ann was rude about it when I called and explained my situation and that it's unfair that they did show up for my  appt!  It's not what she said but how it was said. After much deliberation, they showed up at 8:30 and work was not done till noon. My day had to be rescheduled .  So disappointed!! On top of that, recommendation to install safety T switch on my A/C system was way overpriced!

Sales people. I paid 49.95 for them to come to mu house and try to sell me a new w'atwe softener system after saying that it might just be a seal that nsesa to be replaced. They saild that the new softener system will.come with a new seal! Also, they quoted about 850 to replace the seal ase they saild that the seal was too ubique and they were billing for the time it would take to find it. Do not recommend

Their business manager has a scripted response for everyone filing a complaint on Yelp.

For one bathroom shutoff valve I paid $574.00. For two shutoff valves Christian Brothers wanted $1,100.00. My neighbor who is an ex plumber will fix the second one for less than $100, including parts!!!

OUTRAGEOUS PRICES!!!- At my tenants house, the shutoff valve in the bathroom had corroded and was spraying water. The main water valve had to be shut off  which meant no water in the house.

The plumber from Christian Brothers saw the problem and gave me four different options for a price. To replace the shutoff valve and cut a six inch piece of copper pipe ended up costing $574.00 which was the cheapest option!!!!!!! Parts would not cost more than $40.00,and the job didn't even take an hour. I was stuck paying it because the tenants didn't have water in the house.

I would never recommend Christian Brothers to anyone!.

Barry and his son came  to fix two kitchen outlet
stopped powering small oven and microwave. They found that they were connected with regular wire extension cables installed by previous owner. Also replaced burnt box and plug and removed all jerry rigged wires which was a fire hazard. Awesome ; they decrease the risk of causing a fire and destroying the house.

Had an AC emergency which is never good. Christian Brothers was able to come out that day and got my system running was good. Unfortunately, I had to pay an unfairly high price.  Better to find others whose technicians aren't on commission. I was left with a very negative feeling about this company based on the exorbitant price.

It took 3 appts. for this company to show up at my door.  Very unreliable.  By third appt., they did not even let me know they were coming, just showed up at my door.  They wanted an astronomical amount for a new install, and $1,900 for just the repair.  I had another a.c. company come the following week.  They fixed my a.c. for just over $200 and it is running better than ever.  I would never recommend them to anyone.

I found an online CB ad for free drain cleaning when there is easy access. I called CB to make an appt and I told dispatcher  that when I ran the water in kitchen sink the water backed up in my bathroom shower. I wasn't sure if that was considered easy access and neither did dIspatcher know. She said that the plumber would have to determine that so she said because I saw the ad for free drain cleaning, there would be no charge for plumber coming out to look at drain. The dIspatcher made appt for the following Friday and told me that someone would call me between 8-10 am  on Friday to let me know when plumber would be there. No one called by noon so I called CB and dIspatcher said that they still had me on schedule for appt that day and plumber would be calling me about 45 min before he was coming. About 2 hrs later, CB dispatcher called and said plumbers had bigger jobs then they expected so she would have to reschedule the appt for Saturday. I said that would be fine. The plumber arrived at my house on a Saturday, I showed him the problem that water in kitchen sink backing up into shower. He said that he would have to snake through shower drain but suggested that if he could clear it that I purchase the enzyme drain cleaner that CB sells for $149, which he said I would put in my drains monthly. He said it would really help the pipes running better. I told him if he could clear shower drain, that was something that I would certainly consider if that would help keep my pipes in better condition because my house was an older house. He wanted me to sign paperwork that I approved him snaking the drain and agreed to paying $149 for the enzyme drain cleaner. I told him that I didn't want to commit to anything until I knew the drain was clear. He said he understood and proceeded to drain my shower drain. He then showed me the black stuff that was coming out of drain and said that it showed that the pipes were old and that for sure I would need the enzyme drain cleaner to help save the pipes as long as I could. However, he said that he couldn't clear drain because he hit a part that was hard to get through and said that he needed a longer snake that he didn't have on his truck so he would have to come back Monday. That night I researched info on enzyme drain cleaners and saw that some people said it worked and other people said it did nothing. However, no where did I find enzyme drain cleaners as expensive as $149, most were under $50. I thought well I guess that is CB's way of getting their money's worth for advertising free drain cleaning with easy access.  So on Monday, another CB plumber came to my house, not the same one who came Saturday. The new plumber asked me what my plumbing issue was and I told him that someone else from CB was out on Saturday and said that he needed to reschedule for Monday because he needed a longer snake to clear out my shower drain. He asked me the name of plumber and said he would call him to see what was going on. He went outside to make phone call. I saw him talking to someone for a little over 5 min. He came back in house and said he couldn't get ahold of other plumber but he spoke to the dispatch department. He said he was told that plumber that came out Saturday gave me 3 options for me to choose to sign.  1 was to clear out drain if there was easy access (new plumber said that my drain did not meet that criteria because there were other issues going on with it), the 2nd option was clearing drain and the $149 enzyme drain cleaner, the 3rd option was something for a little over $400 (can't remember exact amount new plumber quoted but I said previous plumber never mentioned that option at all). He said that the $400 option was for looking for the plumbing problem and was the only option that would do me any good because I had a more severe plumbing problem that would not be resolved with using a snake. He also said depending what the problem was, the cost would be a lot more than the $400 after they found out what was causing my plumbing problem. Could be sewer.  I asked why the plumber that came out Saturday didn't tell me that. He said he didn't know why other plumber didn't say anything.  I told him I didn't like playing games and told him that I didn't want their service and sent him on his way. Honestly, I didn't expect their service to be free even though they had an ad for free drain cleaning. The first plumber who came out Saturday should have just told me the truth and not making me think everything would be ok once he got a longer snake to get through the shower drain, which was a lie and he knew it when he left Saturday saying he would be back on Monday.

STAY AWAY FROM THIS BUSINESS

needed a water supply line replaced for 1 toilet. The technician went through the house and inspected everything......

Identical parts to what they wanted to use can be bought online for less than 20 dollars.....however they were charging 172 (including install).

The technician wanted to replace the working parts of the toilets for almost 600 dollars each....a BRAND NEW toilet from lowes costs 200 (on the high side)

After calling around looking for prices for water heaters I found that the installed price in the valley is between 700 and 800....these guys wanted 1300.....ALMOST DOUBLE THE GOING RATE.

The technician gave me 3 options of service, ranging from $1750 to $6192.  

With this review I have posted the estimate work up sheet so that you can all see what a scam this place is.

ALSO they want you to sign a waiver that you have been informed of existing code violations and safety concerns and have requested that no repairs have been made at this time. ARE THEY NUTS!?! DO NOT SIGN THAT!!!!!

Got our air conditioner and heater all checked out.. What a wonderful company they never push any unnecessary things on you.. It's refreshing to hear you don't need anything , all is good . This company has polite attentive staff who take their time going thru your units.. I was very impressed by Juan our tech who was also a military veteran and we are a military family.. I wouldn't trust or use anyone else but Christian Brothers... I highly recommend..

I called on a Thursday. Set up an appointment for Monday.  Called me about 11 am and said they would be there Mo day afternoon. About 4 pm I called them. They said oh the job before you had trouble and we  won't be able to come until tomorrow.  We will be there tomorrow morning. About 11:30 on Tuesday I called. We had an emergency and now we won't be able to come until Wednesday morning.  About noon on Wednesday I called.  Still on another job and not sure how soon we can be there. I adjusted my work schedule 3 days in a row for them and never showed up. Please go elsewhere

I called Christian Brothers on a Friday afternoon regarding the thermostat in my home which just went blank and was no longer working.  They had a technician come out the very next day.  I was given ample notice of their pending arrival.  George was my technician, who was friendly, courteous and helpful.  It took a bit longer than expected due to an electrical wiring issue, and George apologized for the wait and kept me updated throughout his time at my home.  He fixed the issue and even gave me a replacement thermostat as mine was working but still having issues.  The price was very reasonable, even received a discount.  I could not have asked for a better experience and will recommend this company to family and friends and I will definitely use their services again.  I also highly recommend George and thank him for a pleasant experience today.

Contacted Christian Bros. To have my Dad's water Heater checked and re-lit.
Their method of scheduling is online chat. Ok. I was weary. But I put my trust in them that it was scheduled via Amanda using the chat method.
Monday at 1p rolls around. My wife is in the hospital with a heart issue. My Dad is hard of hearing so it was necessary I be at the appt. I'm there at 12:45. 1:15. No serviceman. 1:30. No serviceman. I call. With the conversation I have with the dispatcher, who is telling me they are just running late, I can really tell no one was ever going to show up. Finally at 2:55 the serviceman shows up, spends 35 minutes in his truck writing ridiculous thousand dollars estimates to replace the water heater and service contracts and one estimate to re-light the WH for $144.00.
What the hell. Ummmmm no. I paid him his $29.95 service fee for showing up, which should have been waived since they forgot about us and was almost 2 hours late. The serviceman himself was extremely friendly as were the dispatchers. But their business practices leave a lot to be desired.
Just a heads up so you know what to expect from this particular company.

A friend recommended Christian Brothers to me when I started having multiple problems with my plumbing.  I am so glad I called them!  I think it took them an hour and a half to get Justin to my house.  He fixed the bathtubs, looked at all the other places where water drains, diagnosed a problem with my dishwater and gave me a recommendation as to what to do about it.  

So stuff works again, and it was a tremendous value.  If I'd known, I'd have called earlier.  Thanks, Justin and Christian Brothers!

There's a saying that you get what you pay for, and I don't mind paying if Services is going to be high-quality. The technician or plumber that came over to my home today, Chuck, he is exceptional! Not only is he very thorough he doesn't try to force you into a payment plan and create you based upon your needs. I really appreciate him and this company. Thank you.

My parents live in Glendale and we visit them every other weekend. We recently had a plumbing issue where the shower head in one of our bedrooms was clogged and the water stream was all wonky. I looked these guys up on Yellow Pages and gave them as call since they seemed to adverstise same day service, which is what we were looking for. I must say, I checked them out on Yelp as well before going ahead and skeptically making the booking (they were the only ones willing to fix it the same day)but I was pleasantly surprised by their service.

Their guy was at our door-step in a couple hours and an hour into that, our shower-head was practically new. He checked all other faucets for any leakage or other issues and the rest of the stuff checked out fine. It did cost me a few extra bucks but hell for how convenient this entire experience was, I don't really mind shelling an extra few dollars. These guys were pros.

Beware of this business and do not use unless you want to pay double or triple the average cost of service. I had two 12 supply lines and one shut off valve installed on toilets. Total cost of supplies was $20, actual installation took 15 minutes. The charge was $343. A family member has made 3 separate calls on 3 separate days to this business to discuss the excessive charge but the company has failed to call her back. Very hypocritical of this company to tout themselves as an honest Christian company when their customer service is a joke! There are so many negative reviews of this company - stay away from them.

My dad recently had a problem with the A/C unit blowing hot air, and a family member had recommended Christian Brothers. My dad asked that I contact them to have someone look at it. When I called, their customer service was great and had a tech come out that afternoon.

The tech arrived on time, as well as another technician he was training, and both were very polite and professional. Most of all, they were were able to clearly explain what his options were  and the procedures necessary to fix the problem.
I would absolutely recommend Christian Brothers!
So many companies nowadays seem to forget how important customer service is. So when my dad and I received such great service from everyone we spoke to at Christian Brothers we were both so impressed, and felt management should know what a great team they have!

Christian Brothers was the 2nd AC company we had out for an estimate and they will now be the only company we ever call. Jon Temper was the technician who came out he was very knowledgeable and honest. I didn't feel like a car dealer was in my house like I did with the first company that came out we felt as though he worked off commission and felt he was a bit pushy. Then Christian Brothers sent Jon out he was honest and sold us only exactly what we needed and we couldn't be happier. He's super friendly and very professional.. it makes a huge difference when someone knows and loves their job, he was a pleasure to have as a technician. Thank you Christian Brothers for sending Jon our way he provided exceptional service.

I will add my two cents to all these reviews. I had Christian Brothers come out to our house yesterday to do some minor plumbing repairs. Nothing major. I chose them because they advertised in a Christian business publication. That is the only reason I chose them. Well, shame on me!
The guy showed up one hour late and then proceeded to spend almost a half hour writing out the estimate. Meanwhile giving us a sales job on buying a membership that would give us lower prices. He liked it to having a Fry's card for groceries.
For our minor repairs he gave us 3 different prices consisting of good, better and best. $1156.35, $1356.49 and $1533.29 respectively if we bought the membership.. After I picked my mouth up off the ground I told him that there was no way we could afford any of that. So then he tried to push financing. By the way I never got an answer to my question of what the membership costs. If we didn't buy the membership the costs would of been $1230.22, $1594.36 and $1935.16!
We paid the $29.95 for the estimate and he went on his way. My point is to please check with other companies first.

I would not recommend them to anyone. They came to my 80 year old mothers house because her water heater was leaking and bad. They gave her a quote of $4950 to replace a water heater with an original amount of $5693 but of course they are giving her a discount LOL. Yes, a water heater not a Ferrari. We went to home depot and bought a water heater for $599 and it cost about $400 to install through home depot with a 12 year warranty. Christian brothers quote for $4950 was with a generous 3 year warranty. I wouldn't trust these money hungry goons to anyone. Christian brothers they are not,  money hungry goons they are. Time to contact the better business bureau.

This plumbing company charges are very high. We were charged $ 839.00 for 2 new faucets on our bathtub. The facets themselves were 3 times more than the same faucet handles at Home Depot. They also wanted to charge $200.00 dollars for a diverter. Since then we had a different plummer install a new diverter for $90.00

Walter came and replaced my Smoke Detectors. He was professional, fast, and gave me a lot of info regarding the smoke detectors themselves.

Complete Rip-Off!   Prices are literally insane.

They quoted me $450 for a toilet rebuild.  (Includes new seals, gaskets, flapper, etc).  The rebuild kit is $25 in parts at Home Depot or Amazon.  

Chuck spent about 2 mins looking at the toilet and about 30 mins in his truck looking up prices for the repair in his book.   After he shocked me with the high price, I sent him on his way after paying a $29 diagnostic fee.

My local handyman did the work for less than 1/5 the price.  The toilet works great now.

Our air conditioning kicked the bucket on Wednesday so I was promptly on the phone with repair shops trying to get someone out to fix it.  It's not as unbearably hot as it was a month or so ago, but a warm, stuffy room makes it hard to sleep at night.

This place was the only shop that was able to come out the same day.  All the damn yellow-pages ads brag about same-day service but this was the only one who meant it.  

The repair guy was courteous and quick.  He reviewed everything with me before staring the work and there were no unexpected charges.  It still cost me a small fortune to get the job done, but it would have been like that anywhere.  Oh, the joys of home-ownership!  :P

This company is a scam.  I specifically stated I believe it to be a thermocouple ($8.00 part) and the so called thechnition arrived stating he was here to sell us a new water heater and had no tools to diagnose the problem.  Don't waste your time.  Scam artists, but I am sure this won't make thf reviews they post.  But that's ok, I have a yelp account and a complaint wirh the BBB

Chuck was awesome! I had an urgent issue and they were able to send someone out that same afternoon. While Chuck was there for my initial service call, I was able to discuss other plumbing items that needed to be addressed but were not urgent. We were able to schedule those repairs for the same week! Chuck was efficient, knowledgable, helpful and honest. He explained what the problems were, the basics on what would be required to repair them and gave an estimate before starting work. Great experience! I have used Christian Brothers in the past and will definitely use Christian Brothers in the future.

I have used this company several times over the years, so when it came time to replace my HVAC unit I called them.  They come out and quoted  a reasonable price, they were able to complete the work the same day.  All of their techs were very  professional and did great work I highly recommend this company not only for heating and air conditioning, but for plumbing and electrical as well.

I had a 5 year Bradford and White water heater start leaking on me. Christian Brothers wanted to charge me $1100 to remove the leaking water heater and put in the new one. Mind you the new water heater cost nothing because it was under warranty. So $1100 would all be labor. even if it took 4 hours which the technician said it would take to do that's almost $400 an hour. I called City-wide they did it for $511 in an hour and a half.

The technician Chris was very knowledgeable, courteous and professional. He explained everything to me as he went along with the maintenance on my furnace and anything that would need to be addressed in the future. I recommend Chris for any work or maintenance  for my home.

Tyler Stevenson showed up at the allotted time answer any question that I had about the plumbing make sure everything was draining properly and then drain the hot water tank. Tyler is a very personable young man. He did a great job.

3 new units.  Best service we could possibly have.  Completely blown away by the prep before and after with red carpets, plastic and the extra care taken to make sure we were comfortable.  The AC installs were a major deal for us and George and his team kept us to date the entire time.   We felt very fortunate to have the kind of quality work on something as scary as replacing all three units.  Could not have asked for better service.  Christian Brothers has  earned our business for any home service we need.

Joe did an excellent job replacing the kitchen faucet that was leaking with a new faucet and sprayer. He maintained safety by wearing a mask and shoe covers while  completing the job. I have always had wonderful service from Christian Brothers Plumbing and Heating, and feel like they have competitive and fair pricing. In fact, they are flexible and always bend over backwards to make things right. As an example, when Isaac came out to install a new main line shutoff valve last week, he promptly adjusted the amount  due because of a  misunderstanding of what he quoted. His concern was that I was not only pleased with his service, but that I know the company values me as a customer. They truly stand behind their work which has a value in itself. I have a Service Partner Plan, which is the way to go in my opinion. That way, their service fee is waived, and they come out quarterly for various inspections: heating, air conditioning, water, plumbing, electrical. A great way to be pro-active, and I can call them if there is a problem (again no service fee). I have been a customer of theirs for almost two years and they have been wonderful.

My neighbor recommend Christian Brothers, I had a major leak in my front yard.  They came right out they had special equipment that located the leak.  It was a big job but they cleaned up so good you couldnt even tell anything happened.  I would recommend them to anyone.  Thanks

I really am struggling to find the perfect words to express my gratitude with the exceptional service I have received from Christian Brothers. Late Saturday afternoon the past weekend, I called Christian Brothers after turning in my AC to discover no air was coming out of the vents. Paul came out the same day to inspect my AC. He didn't try to oversell anything and offered cost effective options for my aging unit. And never did I feel like he was being pushy or trying to scare me into spending money with this company. In fact, he was very thorough in explaining everything and answering all of my questions, really making me feel at ease. Due to the age of my unit, (not the Paul or the company) I made the decision to have my AC replaced. George came out first thing Monday morning to take measurements to ensure he had everything he needed to get my unit installed. He made sure to communicate with me why he was there and the details of my install. By that same afternoon, George, Mason and Corey were installing my brand new AC! I didn't expect to have a new AC installed in just 48 hours! These guys were awesome! They were fast, courteous, and very professional. They took the time to answer all my questions and explain everything to me. By the time they got to installing my thermostat, I felt completely comfortable having them in my home as it is always uncomfortable having people you don't know inside your living space. But these guys were great! They made sure to clean everything up before they left. It was like they were never even here, except now I had cold AC! Thank you so much Paul, George, Mason, Corey and Christian Brothers for taking a very stressful situation and resolving it so quickly and professionally. I will definitely use their services again and highly recommend Christian Brothers! I really can't thank them enough!!!

Boy, we got the works! After struggling with an old water softener for years and it finally bit the dust, Joe came out with his apprentice Luis, and installed a new softener.  Yeah!  Also we had scheduled to have the old 'whole house water filter system' changed out as well.  They worked so efficiently and professionally removing the old ones and installing the new ones without wasting any time, it was done!  I am a happy momma again by having soft water. At the end of the job, we sprung on them that our hot water heater did not make hot water last night and they were quick to find the problem and do the repairs.  All is well now, thanks to this team!  Some companies look good on TV commercials, but WE know every time we have used Christian Brothers we can count on them to be there for us and take care of us like they really care and to do the best job for us.  Thanks Joe and Luis!

After a bunch of frustration with another company, I called Christian Brothers AC to get my heater fixed. The CB technicians came and worked on my unit troubleshooting the problem and discovered the issue. They did an excellent job in diagnosing the problem to a wiring issue. I really appreciate it! Very polite and professional employees!

The whole experience was great.  I was having major A/C problems and  I called in the afternoon, George came the next day.  He was very professional. Explained all the A/C repair that was needed.  He answered all my questions and concerns.   Personally brought me the quote The next business day. George said he would be here to supervise and complete the repairs.   We scheduled the job to be done the following day.  I was so amazed how quick I could have the repairs fixed.  My A/C is working great. I would recommend Christian Brothers to anyone.

Like many other reviewers, I got had by this company. They use very, very high pressure sales tactics to get you into a service contract. After the first pitch, I told him I had discussed it with my wife and was not interested. He came at me again at the end of the service twice as strong, warning me of catastrophe if I did not sign up. I declined and he was very sour afterwards.

My second complaint is, as mentioned by others, the extraordinary charges for service. I had an electrical issue. The salesman showed me the price to fix it. I asked him if this was a standard rate for such a job. He said all other companies used the same book to assess charges (a flat out lie). I paid $600 for the service and he finished not even 45 minutes later. I felt sick.

I then called another electrician, just because I was curious and I to verify my gut feeling I had been had. They said they would have charged $90 for the same service, at most $345. Worst experience I can remember with any business

UPDATE: A company manager called and took responsibility for the poor work of their agent. They made it right with me. I am moving the rating from 1 star to 3 to reflect their efforts.

Human Nature, and time, dictates how, or if, we write reviews.  I like Judge Judy's philosophy:  if you're not pleased with a service, don't use them again.
I called Christian Brothers on a Friday and gave Yolanda my needs for our 1977 verified Electrical Panel that had lots of notes scattered around the circuits. I wanted a complete verification of what Circuits controlled the many switches, outlets and appliances throughout the 1900 sq. ft.  single family one level home, and installing a Video Doorbell.  We called another Electrical business and after explaining these needs they offered a $500 cost for the job.  Right away I felt this was a bait and switch trap.  
Monday, 3/1/21, Barry, representing Christian Bros. arrives with his trusty assistant and spends some time getting acquainted with the house and the Electrical Panel.  He promoted the Surge Protector option for the Panel and we agreed.  Why?  we intend Leasing or Renting when we start seeking Central/South America digs. When Barry, a seasoned Electrician, opened the Panel guts there were tied up, bypassed wires hanging, draping, the interior that he dispatched.  This whole job was a 6hour process including a transformer hanging on the wall in the office area since the day we moved in and was needed for powering the doorbell. Testing each outlet, with his assistant,  labeling the panel, installing the Surge protector for the home, letting us know to shut down technology that may be impacted, when he felt the need to, based on what Electrical changes he was doing.  
I will not mention the cost.  Next time you walk into a lovely remodeled home think about what is not visible;  what evil lies behind the walls. if you think of the structural engineers report, whatever their called, when you expect to purchase a home, don't expect 100%!  We paid for experience.
So, during that circuit validation and documenting, picture all of us running around testing outlets, groups of outlets, switches, appliances, setting clocks, resetting clocks, turning lamps off and on, this one worked, now it's off, closet lights, overhead lights, security system, wired security cameras, etc.  When all was done, there was still one circuit breaker that was left off and not noted since all else worked.  
That evening I put on the overhead combo Light/Heater/Fan unit in the guest bathroom and no power!  Tadah!  Switch on the Lonely circuit breaker and Lights!  Barry had added a year (4 visit) free service for Electric, Plumbing, & AC. Thank You Barry (Not to mention Skyler)!  
Wait, remember the Video Doorbell?  They stayed until that too was working.

It's a real emergency when your main sewer line fails! After having a band-aide repair done, my husband got complete diagnostic testing done & gathered numerous bids (most of which scared the heck out of us!). A personal recommendation from a trusted friend brought Christian Brothers to our attention. Thank God! Not only did Tim's bid come in significantly lower than the others, their service was timely, their technicians professional, the site was kept safe & tidy &, when the work was completed (ahead of schedule), our yard looked like it had never happened! All other bids included subcontractors to replace a large portion of our concrete driveway: Christian Brothers were able to work around it. It was obvious to us that Santiago had vast experience in his field & his associates, Jadan, Louis & others were consummate professionals as well. We also really appreciated their sense of humor (see pictures). It's an incredible feeling of security knowing we have a company we can trust with our plumbing, AC/heating & electrical needs!

Expensive. Deceptive quotes and pricing.  Receptionist said no fixed prices.  Worker says they have fixed prices.   Billed $389 less $50 From ad in phone book.   Worked out to be over $150 per hour and problem wasn't fixed. So much for fixed pricing. This business is a scam. Keep away.

BUYER BEWARE.  RUN...the other direction.  

This organization, and/or the individual who completed the removal and install of a ceiling fan are CROOKS.  Nothing other than removing a fine working ceiling fan and installing a new fan, was done.  $800.00+!!!   The work took less than 1 hour.  (documented on gate camera).  My client, a woman alone in the apartment with two men, paid them, however we will be informing the BBB, Arizona Attorney General / Fraud complaint,
Arizona Registrar of Contractors and anyone else appropriate,  They quoted client (elderly) most it would cost, if work all quoted work, needed to be done.  Instead, they charged her highest amount for least amount of work necessary.  Unfortunately, my client, a CANADIAN woman, was taken to the cleaners by this firm. Can you imagine?  $1000.00 Canadian dollars to remove old fan and install new?  And, add insult to injury.  Their electrician wasn't even licensed!  A licensed electrician earns $32.00 an hour with the union.   This is a major case of ELDER ABUSE on top of all.  
Please, be careful and don't fall for this company's racket.  

I spoke with Charmaine in their office.  She said that the charge was a national average. Not so, per the 6 valley lighting stores, IBEW 640 (electrician union), handymen (they typically charge $50 - $100.00 an hour) and a few others I talked with.

Basically highway robbery.  They provided an estimate to install a new gas line in my home that was SIX TIMES what I eventually paid another company that did a fantastic job on it.  I had four other quotes besides Christian Brothers -- the highest of those quotes was still three times less than theirs while the lowest quote I got from a one-man outfit was ten times less than their quote.  A couple that I mentioned the Christian quote to (after I got their quote) agreed that it was outrageous.  Highway robbery.

I got an appointment the same day I called, and a couple hours later they called back and asked if they could come sooner.  When Roger arrived he put a mat on our front porch to catch any crud before it came inside, and was careful to put on overshoes before he stepped inside of our house.  He was professional and gave me a firm price before starting on the work (replacing a sump pump for the bathroom in the basement).  Had I not chosen to go ahead with the work, I would have owed only $29.99 for the service call, which the dispatcher told me the first time I called.  Roger did great work, finished earlier than he told me, and left no mess afterwards.  These guys are my goto plumbers, because every time I have called them they have been able to come the same day, and they do great work.  Highly recommended.

Zero stars. Not sure why they have so many great reviews.

We have a slow draining tub and we called these clowns for a plumber. We were scheduled for a day last week from 3-6 and no one came. Called and said they had emergencies so they wouldn't be able to could come until next week on Tuesday. That works. Fine. Tuesday comes and nothing, we call again and they said you are on the schedule though so the tech should be there soon. I'm not sure if my husband called again or what but they said it would be closer to 10 at night. That won't work.

So we schedule for a third round, same time. What a surprise, literally no one came or communicated with us. Never calling this company again!

We are not difficult people. It was a very basic job and they just couldn't do it I suppose. Thanks for the great customer service guys!

George Banks with Christian Brothers Plumbing continues to give quality service.  We had a new ac unit installed and we were not getting any air flow in two of the rooms.  He returned once again to check things out and noticed a kink in the duct.  I apologized to him being that this was his second visit and his response was, for what? I said because you had to come back. He said, that's okay, if you need anything else just give us a call.   Christian Brothers, you have some of the best people to work with.

This is an accounting of the facts surrounding a complaint I made to Christian Brothers regarding what I felt was an excessive bill.  I spoke to a manager on the phone, and ultimately she agreed to refund 50% of the charge under the condition that I submit a review to BBB stating the matter was resolved to my satisfaction

There are many contractors out there: one is always well-advised to ask around, and to consult Yelp and the Better Business Bureau (BBB) before making a choice.

The problem began when the tenant renting this home changed out the light bulbs in the ceiling fan, after which the fan would no longer operate.  The tenant called us, but we were out of town on family business; normally we handle problems in our rental homes.  She volunteered that she had a neighbor who was an electrician and maybe she could call him, so we said OK, fine.  But the neighbor was unavailable, so, unbeknownst to us, she picked Christian Brothers Electric out of the phone book, thinking that with a name like Christian Brothers, they must be honest (a common thing to do, apparently, based on a thorough reading of Yelp and BBB).

The technician arrived and phoned my wife for approval to make repairs; while she was involved with a family urgency and cannot recall his exact words, it was presented as a situation requiring urgent attention, and so she gave permission for him to proceed, still thinking that this was the neighbor.

The technician wrote on the contract:
I arrived to look at Misc. Electrical
I discovered that the wiring to the fan was incorrect and was arcing due to bad connections in the switch box.
I gave a further diagnostic charge of $389 to diagnose a further issue.
I corrected the wiring and the fan came on and worked properly.

Upon our return, we went over to inspect the work.  We found that the fan control switch had failed, and that the Christian Brothers electrician had merely bypassed it by connecting the wires with a wire nut.  He also apparently had tightened a wire nut in an adjacent switch box.  He did not replace the fan control, but left it to be controlled by the pull-chains on the fan itself.

For this, he charged $389, less a $50 coupon, so we paid $339.

It took less than 10 minutes for us to inspect his work and to replace the fan control switch.

Subsequently, I phoned Christian Brothers and told the receptionist that I wanted to dispute a bill.  She informed me that the manager that handled such things was not there that day but would call me back the next day, which she did.  She informed me that the technicians set the price, and that this technician had had no complaints before, that they charge by the job, not time, using a book of some sort.

I explained that we have managed property for 15 years and manage almost 200 doors, and that I found this price way out of line with the norm, and that I had read the reviews of Christian Brothers on Yelp and the BBB.  Finally she asked me what I wanted, and we agreed on the 50% refund as stated above.  While I wish that I had never had to complain, it was nice to have my complaint resolved quickly, without having to pursue it further.

My water heater died on a weekend late in November.  Mike G. from Christian Brothers came out on a Saturday and did a nice job providing me a replacement.   At that time, I bought an annual service agreement with the company that covered an electrical and two HVAC services, along with plumbing service (which included a discount on the water heater).   Last week (late March), I had plumbing, electrical, and HVAC technicians out for assessments.  The technicians were all really polite, knowledgeable, and timely.  I really liked the HVAC technician (Brian C.) and the electrician (Bryan H.).  The service recommendations from them were reasonable, and they effectively helped me analyze the risks and prioritize my repairs for my aging house and HVAC system.  The company does have service agreements that were promoted pretty aggressively by the original repairman.  Further, if the information I found online is accurate regarding standard costs for repairs, they are on the high side of the normal range.   However, I do at least like the people and feel they know their stuff.

Extremely over priced!

I was interested in an estimate to run a gas line to my laundry room so I called a couple different places for estimates.    Christian Brothers was the second to come out.  The technician was very nice at first and gave me his estimate of what the pricing would be, which was a full $1500 higher than any of the other estimates I received.  When I made it clear before he even wrote up the estimate that I was not interested, he proceeded to tell me why they were so high.  The comical reasons are below:

1.  They have to go to school for a long time and that has to be paid for.
2.  Companies that charge a lower price do not guarantee their work.
3.  Companies that charge a lower price do not drive around that big truck(with a finger point at his gas guzzler) or pay the insurance on it.
4.(and best of all)  Comapnies that charge a lower price aren't going to make enough profit to grow their business.

No thanks..  I think I will go with the company who isn't trying to grow their business by leaps and bounds by ripping me off.

I had a regularly scheduled plumbing inspection. Unfortunately, the master bath toilet was vibrating and filling slowly, so fortunately I picked his expertise and brain to troubleshoot the problem. I requested water shut-off valve replacement just in case and that still didn't fix the problem. So the conclusion was that the tank valve was probably defective and I would get a replacement under the warranty.

After he left and before I made the trip to the store, it occurred to me that I almost never replace the water post screwed into the bottom of any of  the toilet tanks when I replace the valves. I am always afraid of being left with a drip even when I carefully follow the intructions. It was the only other thing to try, so I got the post, removed the previous one, installed the new one and turned on the water. The water flow is great, and I am assured that the water supply valve is also in perfect working order.

I looked into the bottom of the old valve post and it was mangled inside for some reason, so the water flow was being blocked. Wonder if it was those alligators?!

I would highly recommend Eddie for any HVAC service. He was polite, gave great advice, and explained everything having to do with my system. He even was great with my dog. After having a new system put in with complications it was nice to work with someone who was knowledge. He also put my fears aside that the system was working well for me. Our AC was not working that great, so my husband and I called Christian Brothers.
They were able to come the SAME DAY the call was placed(amazing in the middle of a Phoenix summer), and our technition John was super kind, and knowledgeable about his job.

I see a lot of reviews about being overcharged, but we did not feel taken advantage of. On the contrary, the price for the services were fair, and we will be customers for any of our future AC needs.

I had this company come out to just service my AC unit. After checking everything out and finding nothing wrong with it. They tell me I have a duct work that is partially blocked and that they need to run a new duct to fix it. I said okay and they charged my credit card to do it. The tech said she can't do the work and someone would call me to setup a time to do it. 8 days later I still had not received that phone call. So I had someone else come out to check it out and they told me I do not need any duct work done. So I call and cancel my work with Christian brothers and ask them to refund me my $560 for the work they didn't do. They said okay we will refund you. 14 days later I still had not received the refund to my credit card. So I call back into the office and speak to the HR rep Joy, she then tells me she never charged my credit card, even though she is the same rep that called me and told me she DID charge me and would refund me (I have a voicemail to prove it). She then tells me I must be confused and had another company charge me. My credit card statement clearly states it was Christian Brothers. She then tells me she needs to check her records and will call me back in 20 minuets. It's been 48 hours. Still no phone call back and no refund. Horrible horrible company.

We were extremely impressed w/Nathan F. at Christian Brothers Plumbing.  Not only was he knowledgeable about all aspects of plumbing, but he was efficient,  friendly and helpful w/our plumbing needs in AZ.   I just wished he could be our go to plumber in California.  He provided us w/ helpful hints on ways to save $ on our plumbing needs as well.  I can't thank him enough.   We will always call Nathan whenever we need a plumber.  We are looking into  purchasing a tankless water heater and when we finally decide to get it, we will ask Nathan to install it.  I'm just glad that Christian Brothers allows us to request the plumber that we'd like to perform services at our home.  We've had a difficult time finding a reliable plumber in CA--so for us, Nathan is super!!!

I'm stuck with these guys for another 7 years thanks to the premium plan I purchased when I had them install a new AC unit. Be prepared for them to try to sell you unnecessary products and services at inflated, non-competitive prices. While I will have them service the AC unit they installed, I will not let them back in my home to provide any other services.

Kudos to Christian Brothers!! I've had them come out several times over the years for my Spring Tune-Ups & Service.  This last experience was the best.  I'm always hesitant about strangers coming into my home as I have several dogs (my babies) and the technician that came by, was a dog whisperer.  All four of my pups greeted him with tails a waggin' and wouldnt leave his side.  This is a rare thing for my dogs.  He was friendly, rolled out the red carpet and gave me a fair estimate on routine maintenance.  I will be moving forward with the repairs and hope to see the same awesome tech at my home

My client called Christian Brothers for what should have been a $100 repair of a couple of GFCI outlets in the kitchen.  The electrician from Christian Brothers came out to the house, charged a $69 fee for the trip, and provided an estimate of more than $500!  My client found another electrician who made the same repairs for $80.

I have to say during a stressful situation from the first phone call top notch customer service!  Shay was our technician and he was very competent and informative.  I was expecting bad news and possibly very costly repairs and fortunately that didn't happen. I made a terrible mistake by calling this company.

Please do not make the same mistake.

It was 100+ degrees outside and my air conditioner stopped blowing cold air. I noticed a service van in my area for Christian Brothers I figured they were honest, because of the name. WRONG.

I called the number on the van and scheduled an appointment to fix it that day. They missed the first appointment. I drove four hours for my wife and young kids to stay at her parents; the hot was way too hot. I had to call Christian Brothers to find out the tech was in an accident and could not make it. I rescheduled for the next day, which they said was the only available timeframe.

He arrived on time to the second appointment the next day. After testing the unit, they said it has a leak and needed to be recharged. At this point it is 95 degrees in my house. So I told him to fix it. He said it looks like an easy fix. Hours later he came back to tell me it was not an easy fix and is going to be $2300. I explained that is a lot of money for me. He reassured me and said he guarantees this will fix the issue, and no other work will be needed. I explained that I would not pay anymore than the $2300. He said he was 100% certain the leak repair and recharge would fix it. I figured at this point I was stuck paying the fee. Hours later he comes down and says it will be another $1600 to fix a bad capacitor. He said there is nothing he can do and he needs the $2300 and the $1600 to fix the capacitor. I explained to him that is not what I agreed to. He said there was nothing he can do.  

At this point I want him out of my house. I paid the $2300 and the ac unit was still blowing hot air. I immediately called the main office.

The phone was quickly answered and I requested to talk to a manager or owner. The lady explained He is not available and could not talk to me. I explained the situation and she said there is nothing she can do.

At this point I was baffled. I paid $2300 for nothing.

I explained that I need to speak to the manager or owner, or I was calling the BBB and ROC. I finally had enough of this company.

The tune changed and all of the sudden he was available.

She called the owner, who I personally was unable to speak to. He told the secretary he would speak to the tech and call me first thing in the morning.

At this point my house is 95+ degrees, I paid $2300, the service desk and owner are no help, nobody wants to take ownership of this issue, and they want an additional $1600 to fix the issue.

I waited until the next morning for their call.

The owner called and explained he is going to take care of it. The tech then called and stated he is on his way to fix the capacitor for free. They made it seem like they are doing me a favor by fulfilling the repair he originally guaranteed.

After two hours the issue was fixed and the unit was running again. Finally!

With this plan they offer two free inspections to ensure the work is completed correctly and check for any other issues.

I called them seven months later to check the unit.

The tech stated it has a bad compressor, and bad contactor, and appears the unit is going to fail. He recommended replacing the compressor for $1100-1700 or replacing the unit for 12K. He also told me it was time to renew my year coverage (which somehow expired in seven months). I showed him my paperwork and he looked baffled I still had it. He explained there was some kind of mistake. I asked him to leave.

I called another local HVAC company based on yelp reviews. The service call and contactor was $85 combined. The compressor was fine, and the unit was running well, and still runs to this day. The tech for this company stated there is no reason to replace an AC unit that is 6 years old. He quoted me 6K-7K for a new unit installed (because I asked for one out of curiosity).

Overall, Christian Brothers says it uses flat rate charges to save you money. This is false. They say they charge fair market cost. This is false, they overcharge on everything. The customer service is terrible. They have to be muscled into doing what is right by the BBB and ROC, and they need to be avoided.

Do not make my mistake and call this company. That would be foolish.

I am happy with the electrical work from the Christian Brothers Air Conditioning, Plumbing, and Electric.  Isaiah Rubio was the head electrician.  He knows his craft and shares his expertise with co-workers and customers.   He found the electrical problems  and corrected them.
So happy I chose Christian Brothers and Isaiah Rubio!!! :))

Had a very good experience with Christian Brothers related to the pilot light going out on our gas water heater. Nathan F. was the plumber assigned to our job, and he proved very competent in what he did. While my husband was able to get the pilot re-lit, it would shut off after a few minutes. Nathan removed the burner assembly and vacuumed the area out with his shop-vac. Replaced the assembly, and re-lit pilot that stayed on, and on!!! Really appreciate that Nathan stayed for about 15-20 minutes after the re-light, as I was afraid he would leave, and then the pilot would again go out. Service call- diagnosis and resolution came to about $106 which I find very reasonable. 30 day warranty... Will certainly call Christian Brothers again for our next plumbing need (although I hope it's not anytime soon!).

Also want to mention how much I appreciated Ty, the dispatcher's honesty. When I called on Saturday, he said we would be on stand-by in case someone cancelled; otherwise, someone would be out on Sunday between 1:00-4:00. He could hear the disappointment in my voice, and expressed that he would rather be honest we me rather than say someone would be out, and then have to call later and say no. I appreciated that very much, and understood.

Christian Brothers not So Christian.  I also saw them in the yellow pages and thought I would set up an appointment.  It said Free service call for my Air Conditioner. They said he would be by and would call 30 minutes out.  This was 8am and waited all day!!  He finally arrived at 7PM, I should have cancelled!!  He gave me a quote for $2300. and pushed the service plan.  He also gave me a cheaper option to get it running for $930.00.  I just didn't feel comfortable with that and the push for the Service Plan.  He charged me $69.00 for the Service call anyways. I called Grant Canyon Air Conditioner that night and in the AM arrives a nice man and quotes me $370.00 for the same service, no Service plan needed or offered .  He was finished in 30 mins and off he went. My Air Conditioner works Great!!!
Christian Brothers...This is not the way to do business.  I may be a woman that you can try and Rip OFF but I didn't fall for it.

DO NOT HIRE CHRISTIAN BROTHERS.  Con men and liars of the first order.  

Not words I would use lightly.  I've had problems with this company in the past.  But when my tenant called and the air broke down in the dead of summer, and I was traveling out of town, I didn't have time to search for someone new.  

They quoted me $1,600 or so.  It certainly seemed high but what do I know?  These guys wouldn't be in business if the average person knew A/C parts and pricing.  The tech puts the hard sell on me over the phone.  Your tenant is here, it's 100 degrees in the unit, better let us fix this now.  But the number just seemed too high for what they were proposing.  And I wondered, was what they proposed necessary?  I asked my tenant to hang tight and called 10 places.  I was able to get two quotes over the phone based on the problem they described within ten minutes.  Both for $1000 less than what Christian Brothers quoted me.  The problem was fully restored for $1000 less than they quoted me.  Again, it took me less than ten minutes to get two quotes.  As others called me over the next day or two in response to my frantic search for quotes, I asked out of curiosity what they would have charged.  All were in the ballpark of $600.  Nobody came close to $1000.  NOBODY quoted me close to $1,600.

Does $896 sound right to add some R-22 to my A/C unit? That's what these guys charged me last week. The tech just hooked up the meter, checked the pressure and added an unspecified amount of R-22. Oh, he also worked pretty hard at selling me a $30 or $50 monthly service plan which would only seem to move me to the top of the priority list for future service calls. The invoice didn't break the charges down by labor, parts, diagnosis etc.  Just Adjusted freon R-22 and $896. In all fairness the technician knew his stuff and he did mention beforehand than R-22 was expensive. Someone in a previous Yelp review mentioned that these guys' technicians are paid on commission basis. Now I understand the sales pitch and high prices. I'm going to look for a smaller local company next time.

There's nothing Christian about Christian Brothers!The plumber came to our house....then probably assessed he could charge 1000% more!
His total quote was $600.00. He quoted a price for two new valves at $200.00 a piece. But we didn't need new valves. The labor was going to be $200.00 too. We went to Home Depot and fixed it for about $2.00 and it took about ten minutes to fix!
Yup a difference of 598.00!!!!
I wish I had went on Yelp before we called them.
I see others have had similar issues with the not so Christian Brothers.

Woke up early on my day off uncomfortable because my AC hadn't kicked on where it was set! I knew it wasn't good and started calling companies but many well known companies wouldn't come out because they needed to speak to the actual home owner! Then I stumbled upon Christian Brothers! Automatically got a good vibe. This company absolutely rocks!! Every One of their technicians are very professional, very friendly, and very real !  HVAC technician Mr. Temper waited 40+ minutes to give me a second opinion -no charge,after I had already called dispatch to cancel my appointment  because George Brazil arrived first.  Consensus was my AC unit needed replaced, they even gave an analogy, it's like sucking air out of a straw, explained everything throughly and gave many options.   As soon as we picked the plan, a short while after Robert came and installed two window AC units to keep us comfortable through the night . Thank God!  They started work early morning the next day. Shay, Rigo & Tom came out to install the new unit.  A few days later they sent out  Barry the electrician  for safety precautions -no charge!  I would recommend this company to anyone with any AC plumbing or electrical issues. PERIOD! Thanks you Christian Brothers! You're  truly are The Best! Keep up the great work.

I was out in my garage and noticed a bunch of water on the floor. My water heater was leaking. I called Christian brothers because they did my AC UNIT last year and they were amazing. Within 4 hours of me finding my water heater leak. Justin from Christian brothers had came and replaced it. They were at my house within the hour of me calling and replaced my water heater within 4 hours of me finding the leak. Absolutely amazing company. They do an amazing job picking who they employ.

Our 18 year old AC unit began making enough noise to easily wake the dead, so I reached out to Christian Brothers to check out my dying AC unit.  Their receptionist provided a sincere caring tone in her assistance, and she immediately set me up for an appointment.

Their technician (Chris) promptly arrived on scene and his prognosis was a faulty compressor.  Chris provided a detailed breakdown on various repair options, and contacted his teammate Gregg to further assist us with the purchasing options.  

Gregg quickly arrived within 30 minutes and explained the various costs/warranties of the new units.  After applying the various discounts (discounts are available on their website), we decided to invest in a new 4 ton Trane AC unit.  The next phase was for the installation to arrive and do their magic.

Their installation team (Seth and Jose) did a phenomenal job in removing and replacing the AC units (outside and within our attic).  Their attention to detail warrants recognition, and they impressed me with their work ethos.  Seth and Jose worked non-stop in the heat, crawling through the sauna of our attic, and never once did I hear them complain.  Their positive attitude was testimony of the professionalism I noted with everyone within the Christian Brothers team.

In conclusion, I highly recommend Christian Brothers for any AC issues you may experience.  One final note, our new Trane AC system is working like a charm (quite and more powerful), and my APS dashboard is already showing a nice reduction in energy use!

My A/C broke just before it really started to cool down last year.  I panicked a bit and called the first company that had decent google reviews, Christian Brothers.  We scheduled a time for them to come out and take a look, which they were on time for.  I do have to give them credit for being friendly, but in  hindsight I think friendly may be a prerequisite for being scammed.  

They identified the correct problem (as verified by two other companies I called), and wrote up a quote for just over $3500.  Even though I called essentially the first company to show up on google, I did do a miniscule amount of research about A/C replacement and repair here in the valley.  The research I did suggested the average A/C replacement cost would be somewhere around 5k, so $3500 seemed a smidgen high for the repair job.  Oh and $3500 was their basic service.  Their platinum plan for the same repair job plus some extra work came out to over $4100.

Having been told in the past that my current A/C was undersized, I also inquired as to the cost of a new system.  The technician said he wasn't qualified to do that and we scheduled someone else to come out later that day to quote a replacement A/C.  This new person came out a few hours later, did absolutely no looking around, and sat down with me with quotes in hand.  This time the total was $10,000.  

So needless to say I called another company (Hayes), who came out and quoted around $675 to repair, 5k for a new system, and actually took the time to go over my duct work and look the place over before offering options.  I ended up going with a third company, Accutemp, who quoted $635 to repair and did not recommend replacement due to my small duct work and the current unit being only 5 years old.

Bottom line, just in case it isn't clear, is I feel like Christian Brothers is a complete scam and recommend avoiding them until they can demonstrate what I would consider better ethics.

We bought our unit from the Brothers five years ago. We bought a higher end unit and are still paying on it. The unit has been malfunctioning and they are on their way to take a look at it. We have them inspect it every year. I'm not feeling very good right now about this company. What did they sell us? And did they mess it up when they were here for inspection in order to come back and gouge us? So I thought I would look at the reviews on Yelp. Seems if you love them they get five stars, but if you have a problem it's one star. I wonder if the five star reviews were plants??? I'm not looking forward to the tech coming tonight, like I need that stress too. One star for worry. We'll see how it goes and maybe we can up the stars for you.
8/20/17: Just wanted to update. The company rose to the occasion and did the right thing. Fixed the AC, still under warrenty and we are back after a long weekend (last weekend) of heat and humidity. We did spend one night at my son's home, glad to have had that to go to. So we are very happy with the service. I don't expect people or companies to be perfect. Nobody is, but we could see that here they certainly endeavored to do the right thing. Good going Christian Brothers.

This is my second call to Christian Brothers and the service was as excellent as the first.  Tyler actually responded to my call the same day and quickly resolved an issue I had with a water valve in the front of the house. Not only did he take care of that, but also climbed up to the roof in 116 degree heat to check a drain trap that he cleared out the last time he was here to make sure everything was still good.  It was. Can't say enough about the service or the price.  They are certainly my go to choice for all future plumbing and electrical work.

Just had my plumbing inspection with Eric today  I can't say enough good things about this company and especially about Eric. He was prompt and courteous and represents this business so well. We had Christian Brothers plumbing switch out gate valves to ball valves last November. At that time we bought their plumbing yearly contract. It included a plumbing inspection & a flush of both of our water heaters. Eric was swift to inspect the entire house and flush the water heaters explaining everything along the way as he went. He even went beyond the call of duty by helping me replace my A/C filters! From start to finish this company exceeded my expectations. I wouldn't hesitate to do business with them again. Christian Brothers -hang on to Eric-he IS a keeper!!

As a property manager I can't recommend this Plumbing company. They were sent to tighten some valves and stop minor leaks. The bill was $800 for 2 hour job tops. Do yourself a favor and call a management company and see who they use. I will guarantee they wouldn't use this overpriced plumbing company.

The only reason I gave 1 star was because of the niceness of Keith the plumbing tech. My water main line broke which required trenching my desert landscaped front yard. Instead of simply renting a trencher for $60 they decided to dig the 25' by 18 deep trench themselves. Six hours of labor and a 25' piece of pex piping cost over $2000. Once they replaced the landscaping, there was a lot of rocks and dirt left over which they just left on top of the front yard. Now I have weeds and dirt over the once nice desert rock landscape which the city will fine me for. I have called & emailed several times and they said that they are not landscapers but the front desk said they would take care of it and never did. I am partially disabled and cannot perform the work myself. I will update this if they correct it.

We reached out to Christian Brothers for a gas leak on a hot water heater we had at our vacation rental. I got a real person on the phone when I called which is rare these days. They were quick to respond and had someone out to fix it within a few hours. The price was very reasonable, everyone was very professional and quick to respond to our needs. We will use them again. We have a service contract with Christian Bros which includes an annual checkup on our tankless water heater. Chuck was dispatched to perform the checkup. He is very friendly, polite, and knowledgeable. He checked all the sinks and valves in our home to make sure everything was in good working order. We are very happy with their service.

Seth was awesome!!  He arrived when he said he would and was super nice! He answered any questions I had and was very polite and professional. The team he had with him was really friendly too. He kept me in the loop with everything he was doing and when they were done they cleaned up everything and you would have  never known they were even there. When you need the services of a professional, the first thing you do is ask the people around you for referrals. And while I wasn't happy that my garbage disposal went haywire, I AM glad I asked around and a friend suggested I call Christian Brothers. I checked online and the reviews seemed decent enough, so I have them a call. That was at 1:00pm. By 4:30pm, the company sent Roger Armstrong to my house. Not only was Roger friendly and professional (despite my dog trying to bite him!) he did an excellent job fixing my kitchen sink problem. First, he explained what the problem was, he gave me an estimate of the work that needed to be completed. This wasn't an easy job, but he ended up fixing my broken disposal and backed-up sink, and even helped me find a solution to my old water purifier system. I admit, Christian Brothers probably isn't on the inexpensive side, but the fact that they sent Roger out quickly and he completed the job right is worth the money. I highly recommend this company to anyone who is looking for quality plumbing work. And ask for Roger. He is AWESOME!

I have no idea how this company doesn't have 5 stars, from the sweet people that answer the phone to their fast dispatch and follow through each department was amazing. We did thousands of dollars of work through this company and are still using them to redo our whole house. We love them, specifically Barry the field supervisor (electrical side) he is so knowledgeable in what he does and just all around thoughtful. He's respectful to not only is as customers but to our property and goes beyond what most companies would do to make sure we understood how things worked. I have other contractors asking to do our jobs because of the sheer volume and offering cheaper prices and I refuse to go with anyone other than Christian brothers and Barry. We can't wait to use them again to finish off our bar lighting!

These guys are crooks. They wanted $600+ to replace the parts inside a toilet tank and the water shutoff valve next to the toilet. This job should be about $150. They wasted my whole morning by sending a guy that moved in slow motion only to try to get me to replace my whole toilet for $1,000. Do yourselves a favor and avoid these so called Christians!

Took all day for them to show up---that part was not good.  When Joe did finally get here all was good. Joe communicated well and was obviously very knowledgeable.

I don't like that the plumbers are compensated in part by what products and services they can sell the customer.  That is a Christian Brothers business model, no fault of Joes'

Top of the line. Excellent service. Highly trained technicians who are experts in their fields. Work was done fast and efficiently. House built in 1979 they are familiar with older homes. Bathroom toilet pipe put in off center created leak problems involving digging thru tile concrete and dirt. I saw the before and my heart sank. Joe came out and assessed the problem and next day sent out Andrew who dealt with sewer problems he sent the demolition and restoration crew of Kalin and Shawn who fixed it in one day. That whole team deserved a ten plus in accolades. Tiling was completed yesterday and Andrew came today to refit the toilet onto the correctly angled pipe for a perfect fit. We have been with this company for over eleven years and will never change. They are the best company we have ever had the pleasure of working with ! From the office staff to Joe,Andrew,Kalin and Shawn our heartfelt thanks.

On Friday, 070221, we called for a plumber. We were told we were on the schedule for Monday, 070521. The only way I was updated on the status of our plumber, was when I called them. The first person I talked to stated I would be notified by 1100. At 1311, 2 hours later, I called but the person that I was dealing with was in a meeting! This person checked and said the tech would call her when he was done and she would advise us.
1553 I received a call on my phone after specifically telling them to call my wife's phone. The voicemail from this scheduler said I think (?) I have a plumbing......? I THINK I have? She didn't know? This late in the day, cooking dinner, caring for our special needs daughter, this is unacceptable. The end of the day, they wanted to send the tech? Fast forward to the next day. We got a call and the tap dancing started again. The tech that they wanted to send was in another large job? I asked if they could guarantee a tech by 1300. No. I canceled this one and will go someplace else. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME UNLESS YOU WANT TO HEAR EXCUSES ABOUT YOUR TECH BEING AT AN EXTENSIVE JOB! They did not want my repeat business very bad! I will NEVER call them again!

I would caution anyone from using them.  Very nice, however very overpriced and I truly felt ripped off. They still haven't finished what they were suppose to do and it's been a year.   Friendly service does not equal quality or ethical service.   Beware.

We should have read the reviews. We wanted some under cabinet lighting installed. About 20 feet of tape lighting with plug in only. They quoted over $1300 bucks. Absolutely outrageous. I guess it's the we don't want to do it price. When they told us the price they were stoned faced and serious. We said no thanks.

This review is for A/C service AND  Plumbing:

First review, AC:

I have two free services coming from this company due to previous service agreements. I made two appointments with them in a 5 day period to service a rental property a/c unit. The first appointment was on a Friday between 4 and 6. They called close to 6 to tell me they got held up on another job and would not be out until later in the evening, so we rescheduled. On the second appointment they called me about an hour in advance to let me know they would be there. I spoke with the office (not sure, I believe her name was Lisa) and said I would be there. They then called back about 30 minutes later on my home phone, and since I had left to go to the other property, I was not there to answer. So, they left a message that they would not come out unless I was able to confirm the appointment...the one I confirmed with them just 30 minutes earlier. My wife came home and got the message and called me to let me know. I then was able to reach the office and asked what was going on. The gal,Lisa, insisted that nobody called and spoke with me to confirm the appointment. I thought that was odd as she even told my the name of the tech that would be coming out. She actually argued with me about it. Then she finally admitted that, yes, they did call and speak with me to confirm. And guess what, it was her? She was the one who I originally spoke with. What a joke. She then said she could have someone out by 5pm (about 45 minutes).  I decided to wait. At 5, nobody was there, so I left.

This company is a joke. They wasted my time twice. Then argued with me that nobody called and confirmed with me, eventhough the person who was arguing with me was the person who called me.

Is this there way of not having to perform the agreed upon free service? Seems like it. Fine with me. I have multiple rental properties but will never use this company for any service. The only reason they get one star, is because I can't give them any less.

Plumbing:

Once again, we had this free checkup, and so we had them come out for the water heater. This service was to include, a complete drain of the water heater, and a check of the system. When the service guy arrived, we directed him to the water heater. We explained the issue we were having, and he looked at the unit, and proceeded to tell us how much a total replacement would be. I asked him how he was able to determine that without first doing the drain, etc as he was scheduled to do. He then proceeded to tell us that if he did the draining of the water heater, that there was a very high liklihood that the sedament from the water heater would plug up all of the other drains, and cause even more problems with sinks and drains in the rest of the house. Additionally, I asked if he would make sure the tempurature setting was correct and sufficient. He said he adjusted it: a blatant lie. I stood there watching the entire time and he didnt touch it once.  When he left, I adjusted it and guess what, that was all that it needed. Water heater works just fine now.  

I simply do not trust this company and will never do any sort of biz with them again.

One of my A/C units stopped cooling, I checked the condenser and found the fan not running. I started calling around and Brothers Plumbing said they could send somebody out that evening between 6 and 10pm, and that the person would be licensed, bonded, etc., so it seemed like it would not be a Brothers Plumbing employee. Turns out Christian Brothers is affiliated with Brothers, as I was told by the person answering Brothers Plumbing. I am reviewing Christian Brothers as that is the name on the receipt I received.

The plumber arrived, was polite, wanted to see the unit, and balked at going around the house, instead wanting to go through the house. He first checked the date on the unit and chuckled and smiled (it is 16 years old) and went to get his tools. A few minutes later, he told me that the fan motor had seized up and the high voltage switch was about to fuse together, both needed replacement, and he went to work up an estimate.  He returned about 15 minutes later, walked into my house without knocking, and proceeded to present what turned out to be a sales pitch.

The first two proposals varied only in that the motor would be replaced with either an OEM or a universal (generic) motor, and the price difference was $336. These proposals included a replacement switch and a subscription to both their platinum and silver plans. One of the first alarm bells was why did I need both plans? I have never experienced a superior plan that did not include everything that the inferior plans did, hence platinum should have been silver plus some more stuff. And where was the gold plan, which is usually one up from silver? Whatever. The cheapest of these two was $2,131.00 (I have the quote in hand), and he included a payment plan. Nothing ... NOTHING ... was itemized. The third plan was to replace the unit completely, he presented this with the usual only last this long, gonna break, R22 is expensive, etc. These are Trane units, BTW.

I asked how much just the fan would be - answer: $1,200.00, including installation, 1 year warranty, etc. That was the big warning bell, I don't know a lot about this, but I know that a motor that drives a fan does not cost $1,200.00 installed. I told him I'd have to talk to my wife, he left to do paperwork, I called my uncle who just laughed and told me those motors are $350-$450, he guessed.

Now I'm angry, but not surprised. I then remember that a coworker was ecstatic about an HVAC guy he used. I found his number, called him, he came out, and after an hour, he fixed the fan, just the fan, told me that the units are old and I should expect them to break down (which I never doubted, I've been told the life expectancy is 12-15 years, roughly, many times), and then I wrote that guy a check for $475.00, and gave him a GIFT of $50 to take his wife out to dinner since I took him away from her that evening.  Christian Brothers was trying to charge me more than FOUR times what the repair really cost.

Christian Brothers has been reliable and fair to all our HVAC and plumbing needs. They've been great! I specifically ask for Mike, who is a management supervisor, and he never fails to show up and solve our problems, in spite of his other duties in the office or training. He's outstanding and a terrific person.  He never over sells and explains what is going on.

Nobody likes these issues, the costs, or dealing with HVaC and plumbing problems.  But if you have to, choose Christian Brothers.  They fix it every time and made me appreciate their care.

OMG!!!! I am stunned at how high this company is.  I only paid the service call, and decided there is no way in Hell I would use them.  I needed my kitchen faucets and 2 master bath sink faucets installed, my dishwasher reconnected, and garbage disposal. They gave me a price quote of over $6,000.  Keep in mind that my entire new kitchen was only $10,000 for new cabinets and granite.  I told them they were high on crack!!!!!!  I ended up getting another plumber who only charged me $500 for the entire job.

We were considering adding an electrical outlet to our wardrobe space.  Christian Bros. sent Walter out the very same day as our call.  Walter reviewed our options.  We decided not to have the work done due to the cost even though we thought the cost to be justified.  There was no guilt, no attitude and NO CHARGE for the visit.  We had had Christian Bros. come out several months back and repair our water heater and because we agreed to a contract at the time this visit was FREE.  We like a company standing behind its promises.  And we liked Walter!

One of the worst experiences we've ever had with an AC repair.

We had one of our two units go out. The tech arrived - 48 hours after I called to schedule the appointment - and I told him which unit was not working. I instructed him not to worry about the other one and not to touch it, because it was fine.

After a half hour on my roof he came down and the first thing he did was tell me that the functioning one was worse off than the malfunctioning one and that I needed to replace them both. I asked him why he'd looked at the other one when I told him not to, and he said, because I was up there.

He then proceeded to try and convince me I needed two new $10k-each units. He offered repair options, but said it would be throwing money away because it would only be a temporary fix as they were both beyond their life and needed replacing.

I couldn't believe that he had defied my explicit instructions and had looked at the functioning unit. He had no right to touch it and tinker with it, and who knows what he might have done, intentionally or otherwise.

I told him I was angry that he'd done that, and he said you gave me permission to go on your roof, and I responded by pointing out that I had not given him permission to touch the other unit, and in fact had explicitly told him not to.

I asked him to leave.

I called another company, they came out, looked at the unit that was malfunctioning, diagnosed the problem, explained clearly what was wrong, and offered a reasonable repair option. They repaired it within 30 minutes. Not only did this tech not look at the other unit, he didn't try to sell me a new unit. He didn't even bring up the idea of replacing the unit. It was a simple fix.

Christian Brothers didn't come to fix my problem, they came to try and scam me, to sell me $20k worth of new units I didn't need.

I will never call them for anything again, they are not trustworthy.

I recommend for everyone to stay away from this company, Christian Brothers Plumbing. I called them about a previous service they performed in my house. A valve before the water heater constantly leaking and wouldn't shut off. The lady on the phone would not provide straight answers and wanted to charge to come out and look at the poor plumbing job they performed.  They charged me an arm and leg to replace a  2 dollar valve. Way too expensive for Poor workmanship and cheap parts.

One star only because I couldnt give it a zero!! We were quoted 800.00 to unhook an old load controller on our house... a job that Another company did in 30 minutes and we only paid 155.00.... dishonest company that tried to upsell us on redoing our entire panel and house! Would never recommend them to anyone... steer clear!

AMAZING service! Had a under slab water leak and they took such good care of us. From the initial phone call with Yolanda I knew I made the right choice. She gathered all the information and had the crew on the way immediately.

Chuck showed up at the house and quickly put a plan together to fix the leak. Walked my wife through the process so she was comfortable. Provided GREAT service from start to finish.

My bathroom exhaust fan had water dripping out of it to the point of I had to set a bucket below on top of the toilet to catch the water.  The bathroom wall was also wet from the inside.  I called Christian Brothers at 7:30 a.m. and they were able to come out the same day.  Thomas arrived.  He was clean cut and very professional.  He went up in my attic where the pipe was leaking, surveyed the area, took some pictures, and came back down.  As he showed me the photos, he explained what was happening and what he needed to do to fix it. The price seemed reasonable and he could fix it the same day.  He went to work and was done in about 45 minutes.  I asked a lot of questions, as I am just that way, and he answered them all to my satisfaction.  He did not make me feel like he was rushed at all in answering them. I was concerned that the exhaust fan was still dripping after he was done but he said it should stop pretty quickly.  He was right! The dripping did finally stop!  Being I ask a lot of questions, I asked him if they look at exhaust fans because the one in my other bathroom had quit working completely a couple months ago and my family of 3 - which includes 15 and 20 yr old daughters - were all sharing one shower when we were used to having two.  We didn't want a mold problem so we just quit using that shower. It is my favorite tub because it is oval shaped and so it's larger.  They call it a garden tub. Thomas said sure, lets have a look at it. I said is there a fee?.  He said no. Well, he looked at it and said it had just quit working. The really cool part is that he just happened to have an exhaust fan that another customer had given back to him because he wanted a fancier one.  He said I guess this fan is meant to go here! So, he pulled out my old, broken fan and put in a brand new one as a courtesy.  Thomas went above and beyond because he didn't have to do that and he took extra time here to do it.  Christian Brothers is who I will call anytime I need service for plumbing or electrical.

My water heater needed to be replaced and it was Sunday and I was expecting company the next day ( Monday)  I felt panicked and anxious knowing that my company would want a hot shower after a long long drive! I scheduled an appointment Sunday night for Monday morning which I thought I would never be able to get !! I was pleasantly surprised!!  And sure enough bright and early Monday morning joe Pompa my plumber shows up at my doorstep ready to get to work!!! Joe saved my butt!! After getting a cleanout of our heater the tech (Todd) quoted a price for repairing a bad blower exhaust motor & housing, but the quote was for more than what I could come up with & I had to tell them to just leave the heater unfixed. After learning that my 85 yr old mother would be without heat for lack of funds, senior tech Mike E. came back with a new motor and worked with us on a price she could afford. This tech went way out of his way to help us and he really knows his stuff.  Any work he does will be better than most techs and he's honest too.  I don't normally have much trust with AC repair techs, but Mike E. can be trusted.  THANKS MIKE!

They were so prompt, caring, and very honest and gave me a great solution to my problem.
I had lost my diamond from my engagement ring.It was one if the most horrible things. They were reassuring and offered a solution to help possibly retrieve it. I had had 1 other company come out first, & they couldn't help.
They told me it was a goner.  But Christian Brothers came up with a solution that gave me hope, so fingers crossed, I now hv a chance to find it.

I thought that from the name, they might be Christian.  Well, if they are Christian, they are very greedy Christians.  Had a leak in a pipe in the laundry room wall between the wall and the garage.  They tore the garage wall apart and claimed to have fixed something and charged me  $500.  The leak continued.  They came back out and I asked if they could use a camera to look in the wall for the leak rather than ripping my walls apart.  The tech said that they had a camera but not on his truck.  He and his partner then proceeded to tear apart my laundry room wall; found a small leak in the plumbing there, fixed it and charged me around an additional $600.  

A few years have gone by and the leak is leaking again at the exact same spot.  Needless to say, I will not call this company again.  I tore the wall apart again where the leak was and sure enough, the exact place where they fixed the leak is leaking again.  I could fix this leak myself for about less than $30 in parts but fear my wife would have  a fit if it  leaked  in the future.

So I've got calls in to other plumbers to come out and fix  it again.   I agree with the negative reviews of this company by other customers.  They echo my experience.  

also: don't be surprised if they come out and try to sell you a new water heater when a new one is not needed.

I wish I had yelped this business before I called them.  I have the same complaint as some of the other one star reviews.  The upselling is ridiculous.  All I needed was 2-3 valves installed on an RO system so I could have a new refrigerator installed. The technician came back with his options.  One of them being a complete new water softener system, RO system and new faucet. I was pressed for time because the refrigerator was being delivered but I should have paid my 29.99 and sent him on his way. The work was done well, although I know I over paid, the serviceman was courteous but the dog and pony show they train him to put on is something my wallet and I could have gone without!

I've read the reviews and I must say Chuck showed up to my n phx home on time and spent the better part of the day arranging all details and fixing my sewage ejection pump. Don't know if you realize but that is a Mike Rowe type dirty job .   Yes it cost me but it was fair and consider doing it yourself before balking at prices.  If you are going to compare to Home Depot prices then I say roll up your sleeves and dyi. Thank you Christian bros for a very professional job from start to finish.

Everything was outrageously overpriced....but was in a bind to have the repairs made...a garbage disposal from this company is over $300 I could have bought one from home depot for $100.... I told this to the guy and he was like well these are our prices....the guy was extremely slow, but I thought this would mean the job would get done correctly...wrong...the hot/cold water lines were crossed. Will not use them again.....they need to remember what the first word of the company name is, Christian.....Not rip off!!  They are just taking advantage of people... I know it wasn't the workers fault for the outrageous prices....he was a nice guy and should find a better company to work for...I will never use this company again !!!!  I'm forced to select a start....but believe me it would be zero stars!!!!

Called Christian Brothers to come out last Friday to diagnose why our showers give hot water but no water pressure. Tech was friendly, polite and courteous. He said he would be out the next day to take a part to get replacements. Dispatch called and said that it wouldn't happen until Monday. We called first thing Monday to find out what time he would return and were rescheduled for Tuesday 3-5pm. About 4:50pm dispatch called to ask if we were interested in having the work done from our estimate on Friday. It was explained that we had scheduled for that day to have them return. We were then rescheduled for Thurs 5-7pm. The tech showed up, took out the part and said he would be in contact first thing in the morning to tell us if he would be returning he next day or if it would be put off due to needing to order the part. It is now almost 11:30am and we have not received any call about timing. In the meantime, we are down one shower and minus the part to have another plumber come out and match it. What was supposed to be a quick fix has now turned into a week long process. We will never use this company again.

I called Christian Brothers for a probelm with an electrical outlet in one of my apts. I was out of town and I told them this. They went out to fix the problem and told me that an outlet was shorting out but the main problem was the beakers, they were old and not tripping off and they would have to be changed, they told me it would be $ 1400.00 to fix outlet and change all the beakers, because I was stuck out of town and the problem had to be fixed I told them to go ahead. well I checked today and there are only 8 breakers in the hole box and it looked like only 4 were new! this was the biggest rip off ever,do not use Christian Brothers

I would say I flushed away $200, but the toilet they fixed still won't work. Here is a breakdown of their 45 minute repair visit. 5 minutes spent sticking their $35 auger in the toilet. 15 minutes talking to me about my options. Each more expensive than the last and only one being the option to simply fix my toilet. The rest included replacing flush systems on all our toilets and warranties with charges up to $800. The other 25 minutes were spent in the truck writing out all those options. The toilet stopped working again that night. To say I am disappointed with their performance is a huge understatement. If I were to give them an option to save me as a customer, it would be to come and actually fix my toilet and don't even mention money.

I had Isaiah from Christian Brothers come by to rewire an underground pool pump circuit, replace a GFI and reconnect a pump whip. First attempt was miserable. Second attempt was mediocre at best even when I wrote step by step instructions on an email for Isaiah to follow. I was told that Isaiah was one of two electricians that work for the company. The hole he made in the pool house was never replaced. At this point, I simply wanted the switch to be up to code and I'll handle the rest. YIKES!!!

The technician, Joe, was timely, and did great work. He was unsure initially if he was qualified to do this project because he had never done this type. After consulting with a plumber experienced in this kind of installation he determined to bring him in to direct the installation. They did the project in this manner. The installation was timely, attractively and esthetically  done and completed in a professional manner. I would highly recommend Joe and Christian Bros. your next plumbing project.

If I could give them NO Stars I would.  This company needs a serious reorganization with new policies and procedures.  The left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing. I made an appointment a week in advance for a quote on 2 A/C units that had been stolen at my house. My house is in escrow and they need to be installed before the lender will loan/close. I informed the office staff, D (I won't use her name) of this and my need to have an estimate on the 3rd and install on the 8 or 9th. She assured me there would be NO PROBLEM.   They canceled at the last minute saying they were too busy and had other calls of CURRENT clients.  I got upset because I live out of state and had to hire a handyman to be at my house for them AND THEY WERE TOLD THIS.  So, an hour or so later, they call me and tell me that Dispatch just called and he was now on his way to my house  I was delighted that they had decided to honor their promise and schedule and come to my house and give me a quote. I called my handyman and he went over to the house and waited and waited and waited, all at a cost of $50.00 an hour to me. Finally, at 5:45 my handyman called me and said he was leaving as THEY DID NOT SHOW UP.  I called the office and was told they had to cancel me for other clients and that they had called and told me/handyman.  I explained that someone from their office had called later and told me that you guys were on their way to my house.  Someone dropped the ball here, no one showed, and NO ONE CALLED ME to tell me. I complained and spoke w/the manager and all he did was apologize and tell me sorry, they were too busy serving other clients/accounts and that they did not have enough people to handle all of the calls so existing clients are first.  He told me that someone in the office had called me in error and he was going to have to figure who and why this happened. He didn't care that I had to pay my handyman to go over to the house and wait because I was told by their office that they were coming. The manager was mild, even tempered and apologetic and really just going through the motion to appease me (like he does it all of the time) No concern at all about the cost to me, the bind they put me in and the promise his office staff, Dhad given me, or anything. It was basically,  nicely conveyed to me tough  That is how we run our company when we are busy with the heat. He tried to say things didn't happen as I described but my time stamp on my Iphone proves otherwise. I told him this.  This is the second experience that I have had with them. The first time was a plumbing problem. My copper pipes outside were stolen. They sent a plumber who replaced and repaired what was done but he did not pipe/connect to the drip system. When my gardener arrived over a week later he saw that my trees and plants were all dying and the drip system part was just coming up out of the ground and had not been connected/ fixed. When I called the office, they did get someone out right away but the plumber called me and was smart mouthed with me and he called my handyman and was rude to him too and hung up on him. So I called the office and they had to send a different plumber.  Why I used them a second time, believing they would keep their promise and arrive as scheduled I have no idea. I guess I believe in giving everyone a second chance. But the second chance was worse than the first chance. I am filing a report with the Better Business Bureau because companies like this need to be reported. No one on my FB page could believe what they did as they all followed along as this was all taking place.  I have a business and if I operated like this I would no be able to sleep at night. And this company is not cheap. They are so expensive one would think that they provide high quality performance and kept their word when they promise  you a day and  time/window of showing up.  I would continue to look elsewhere for a different company, coupon or not. I am so mad at myself for not checking here on Yelp before hiring these people.  As I read all of these bad reviews and same or similar problems I have to wonder how they have stayed in business all of these years. I guess I will now use one of the companies on Yelp that have good reviews, they say they are cheaper too.  NEVER AGAIN will I use a  plumber or any other company without checking on Yelp.

Both our restrooms were backed up.  We have had a couple of different plumbers come out and snake our line and say you're good. A couple weeks later plugged again.. The funny thing is 2 weeks ago, we had our pipe snaked $400.00 .  2 days after our line was cleaned. We went out of town. We came back plugged again..  we called  Christian brothers. Santiago Ortiz came out and checked everything. He came to the conclusion that we had a collapsed pipe . He came back Saturday morning and completely fixed everything. He even checked everything after he finished to make sure everything worked like it was supposed to. Their price is a little high. There coupon is very sneaky way for you to call them. Santiago was awesome.

10 Stars!!! I am so incredibly impressed with everyone at Christian Brothers that I encountered!! I had my AC go out the night before I was scheduled to leave on a very important trip for my niece's 16th birthday. I frantically started calling companies in hopes of getting my AC fixed so I could still go on my trip, but also so my animals and I weren't in the heat for too long. I was hearing a minimum of 24 hours before someone could get to my house! Nicole at Christian Brothers was able to get me on the schedule that day (Friday) as an emergency (without an additional fee) and Sean and Paul were at my house by about 10:30 am! They confirmed what I was hoping was not true - my 25-year-old AC was finally done. They all made the process seamless though. By 2 pm, Sean and Joseph were at my house to install the new unit and were there until almost 8 pm installing the new system (breaker, AC unit, and wiring) and getting it up and running! I learned throughout this process that new units are not typically installed on Friday afternoons for several reasons, but these guys pushed to have my new unit installed anyway and they stayed despite the extreme heat all so I could go on my trip! If it weren't for Sean and Joseph staying, I wouldn't have been able to be there for my niece on her special day. I cannot express how immensely grateful I am to you both! I am a customer for life because of the professionalism and courtesy that everyone showed me during this horrible time. Thank you!!

APS put us out of service cause of an arching wire in our electrical panel. Was worried we would be without power for a few days, but with the quick response by Christian Brothers and the expertise of Barry and his apprentice it was only a few hours. 2 star over rating sounds too high too me. We called this joke of a company to give us a quote to install a double oven in wall unit. We needed to replace our oven because the glass had broken on the top. The unit still worked until these jokers showed up.
Would you believe they sent a plumber? Yeah, he actually said to my wife I'm a plumber, I don't know what I'm doing.
So, right off he goes to pull the trim off, for what reason I didn't know but he rips off the trim, breaking it and the controller board drops on the floor! He said to my wife, I didn't break it. They were watching him. Of course he broke it. My wife was actually baking cinnamon rolls in the bottom unit. The guy can't fix it. He broke the trim, it won't latch back  and his fix for all this is duct tape. My duct tape what a joke!
So for 3 days I call. For 3 days they avoided me. Not very Christian like company if you ask me. Maybe they should change their name.

Its been awhile since this plumbing company came out to fix an issue I had with a bathroom sink tap that stopped running hot water, only cold.  Each one that came out did not know what the problem was nor how to fix it, I paid for nothing services and no fix.  I have tried to block their emails but to no avail, they are irritating to say the least.  This is by far the worse plumbing company, when my hot water tap started running only cold I called Christian Bros Plumbing and paid for a service call even though the plumber couldn't solve the problem in one the bathrooms, he fiddled under the sink and looked totally baffled!  I called the company they sent out another guy Chuck who also did the same thing he ended up having no clue why it was not running hot, there was a new employee with him.......we all walked back into my kitchen where he proceeded to pitch pretty strongly for almost an hour on why I should buy a warranty, towards the end of his sales pitch he stopped a second to give directions to the guy, the guy comes back and announces its done and the hot water is running fine, I didn't check because I was just relieved they were leaving at last.  However, after they left I called the company again to let them know the hot water tap was still running cold, they sent Keith who also couldn't find the cause, but said I needed a new hot water tank, I told him this one was a new tank, he continued to quote prices of their tanks and the costs of installations, I didn't go for any of it.  I called the original installer of the existing hot water tank he quickly located the problem that ended up being a bad part, it didn't cost anything but the labor to replace the bad part because it was under warranty, judge for yourselves but I would not call this company ever again.  .

Excellent service!  Brian M. did a great job repairing our shower faucet and did everything he could to keep the costs down.  He was friendly, reliable, and I 'll be sure to ask for him should we ever have any plumbing problems again.  Highly recommended!

We have an older house with a cast iron and clay sewer line.  We called a few companies to obtain a quote.  We were impressed by the response from Christian Brothers.  They offered an alternative approach to ripping up our homes foundation by using a liner.  The work was completed on time, affordable and less invasive than the other companies suggested approaches.  The technicians were courteous and explained what they were doing and why.  We received courtesy calls from the dispatch team who were very polite.  We are looking at some electric work in the future and based on my experience and trust will call Christian Brothers for our service provider.

On the upside, the work was A+ considering the extreme heat the techs had to endure both outside and in the attic they did a great job.  The price was pretty much what I expected.  Willing to overlook some of the other reviews about the high prices and pressuring.  I was never pressured into buying anything.... You don't get something for nothing.  Abe came out and was very up front with his assessment about the condition of the ac unit. And Jon came out the next day (at my convenience) and went over all financing and ac options, and came up with the best one for our home and our budget.  From start to finish.....3 days.  

Don't listen to your friends that say they know someone who can do it cheaper.  Ask them can they warranty their work?  Finance?  Properly dispose of the old Freon gas?  Come back to service the unit?  

Now with the new dual stage heat pump unit installed along with solar panels on the roof, I plan on saving a lot on my electric bill.  Next stage will be new high efficient windows and appliances.

Well, I found Christian Brothers in the YellowPages, a nice big ad with pretty graphics and hey!  a 10$ off coupon!  I was naive enough to also think hey, I don't know if Christian is their name or religion, but a company named Christian can't be all that bad, right?  Wrong!

I'm a small business owner so I really have to watch my costs.  To get a single drain rootered, yes ONE, it cost me over 350 dollars.  There were all these fees and seeing I was really surprised at the final bill, the guy didn't hesitate to pull out a big thick book of numbers from his tool bag.  Look, this is what the going rate for this is in our line of work.  Look at it yourself.  I was speechless as I wrote out the check and he headed out the door.  

It was afterwards when I got to thinking, why it had cost so much and what  kind of professional carries a book of what it's supposed to cost!

Plus, since a lot of my drains seem to be connected to one another, they were back up again pretty quickly.  I called and I was told after 24 hours, it it would be considered a different problem and that I would be charged for it.  WTF!?

Since then, I've found a company that does the same thing plus more for much much much less!  

Don't trust these Christians!

I had a burst pipe and they were able to schedule an appointment almost immediately to fix the burst pipe and recommended a remediation company to repair the damage. My technician Santiago Ortiz was knowledgeable and courteous and inspired confidence. So much so that I had him replace a number of plumbing fixtures throughout house. As well as installing a tankless salt free water conditioner that is fantastic. I would definitely recommend Christian Brothers and my technician Santiago Ortiz.

Eeks me thinks not.

I thought that given the name christian (CB) I might get some fair work.   Paid well over $1000 to have small leak in a PVC pipe fixed.  In the process, the techs claimed they did not have the right tool to insert into the pipe & find the leak (that , they said, was on another truck).  

[Apparently the tool has a camera on the end so they can snake it thru the pipe to
find the leak.]

With water pooling on my garage floor next to the laundry room, it should be
fairly easy (common sense) to figure out that the leak was generally directly above the pooled water. Not to these guys.  

 Ending up cutting my garage drywall to pieces & then  cut through another large piece of drywall in my
laundry room before finding & fixing the simple leak.

I paid for professionals to come over & fix the leak. Not for apprentices without proper tools to tear my drywall apart.  

Needless to say, CB would not pay for any drywall repairs & would not get someone to fix them.  They left that responsibility to me, adding another $600 to the bill.

If you want Christian service, try another plumbing company.

They were very thorough, explained everything, cleaned up after themselves, and left me one very happy customer. Christian Brothers recently replaced all the sewer lines under my Phoenix home and did so without tearing up the tiled floor in every room.  It was a bit more expensive but they only dug through the bedroom closets and took down the lower drywall in 2 of the three closets. They also helped arrange financing.

Great service! I had a water leak in the upstairs bath leaking into my ceiling downstairs. They quickly found the leak and fixed it. They were very professional, courteous and polite and didn't leave a speck of dusk behind.  Hopefully won't have any more leaks but if I do they will be the first call! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! They are the absolute worst in customer service and they rip you off. Christian? really? Is it CHRISTIAN to take a thousand dollars when the part to fix the unit is $65? I was told by two other companies that I was scammed. They also only deal in cash- THE FIRST SIGN! They scam people out of their money. In a house full of children during the summer, their work actually failed and they did not come back and make it right! told me I had to pay again! BEWARE!

Have used them 5 times plumbing 4 times electrical 1 time. Plumbing has been  good a bit expensive absolutely but good service.  Electrical good service but the tech tried to pull a fast one on the bill and I had call in and get it fixed. I'm cautiously optimistic to go use them on ac or electrical again

I'm surprised by all the bad reviews for this company. My fiancé and I have been using Christian Brothers for years and have had nothing but great experiences. The prices can sometimes be a little higher than average, but you get what you pay for and they're often willing to negotiate with you. Plus, it's pretty easy to find coupons for these guys and they reward loyal customers.

Paul G is the one technician that you can absolutely trust to service your A/C and who will be completely honest about any work that you need to have done. He's thorough, professional, and makes you feel complete at ease in your home. He's in pretty high demand because of this and i happily wait the few weeks it can take for a maintenance check. If there's an urgent need they can send another tech out, but I'd still try to wait for Paul.  He came to my home a couple of weeks ago and did tell me that I'd need to put a new AC on my horizon but that he'd do everything in the meantime to keep it running.

He also that my filter needed to be cleaned and gave me and my daughter a friendly little lecture about the importance of keeping it cleaned. He's the kind older brother or uncle that's always there when you need them :-)

We called Christian Brothers to service our A/C the beginning of last month.  Jon was the technician that showed up.  Very polite and courteous the whole time, despite the awfully hot temperatures.  He was very thorough and discussed with me in detail what my options were.  After weighing the cost/time and condition of our A/C, we opted for a new A/C, but it was no surprise to us, our A/C was 29 years old!  He worked with us that evening to get the order in, expedite the financing and installation (they showed up the next morning to install it!).   James came by a couple of weeks later to do a quality inspection on the installation of the A/C.  Again, another very courteous and polite employee, despite the 110+ degree temperatures.  I'm sure it felt worse on the roof at that time!  He made a few adjustments and verified the A/C came back on after his inspection and adjustments.  Very happy with the prompt service and I love the new A/C!

Asked questions and answered all of my questions respectfully. It was very clear that my family's safety was  the #1 goal. Once they found the root problem, an outlet that was sparking and burned that didn't trip the breaker!  On top of that, they tested my 2 smoke alarms to discover neither of them were working.  Needless to say, this could have been caused a fire that could have left my family and I devastated or even worse, dead.  
He presented me with 4 options to decide which was best for my family.  Although it was more than I had hoped,electrical is nothing to mess around with.  My house was built in '88 and so I decided to go with the full replacement of breakers. I'm so glad they had financing options and that Annalisa was able to get me a good promotional interest rate. On top of that, on a Saturday!  I've used Christian brothers before for my AC and will continue to use them and refer others to them. They are knowledgeable, no pressure and truly have the best interest of customers in mind. Thank you so much for making my family safe.

RIP OFF PRICING. The first time I used this company I thought the pricing was really high but I was in a crunch and didn't have time. The second time I used them March 9, 2015 I received a quote and their quote was $1,385. I knew it was way to high but had no idea how high and I looked on the BBB to find a another licensed electrical contractor and the same work was completed for $600.00. I will NEVER call Christian Brothers out to my home. Their pricing is a RIP OFF.

If I had to sum this company up in one word it would be unprofessional. The level of communication is almost non existent. I was inquiring about a job with this company for a few weeks speaking directly with their HR manager on multiple occasions I was lead on the believe they needed installers. I left a handful of voicemails, memos with other employees, and even spoke with the HR manager myself and was told I would receive a call back or be contacted multiple times, and these promises were left unfulfilled.

My heat pump system failed recently and I'm getting quotes from companies and considered Christian Bros for the estimate/install but after my experience with them so far I definitely will be looking elsewhere.

Christian Brothers A/C, Plumbing & Electrical Service is a great company.  I have had service done by them in the past with A/C and the service was great. So when I was having issues with plumbing I decided to called them again. The appointment was made in a timely manner and the technician Luis  Duarte with Christian Brothers was wonderful.  He was very polite and friendly. Horrible Management!  The prices are too high and they do half the work and then walk away. When an issue occurs they will take their sweet time coming out because they already have your money and don't care about the issue anymore. Fantastic response time.  I called and within 24 hours the plumber Joe was here and replaced our water heater on site...no waiting or delay!  Joe kept us updated throughout the entire process.  Wonderful service, phenomenal technician (Joe Pompa)!  Great communication, service and friendly/knowledgeable technician.  I would highly recommend this company for all your plumbing needs!

My electric heater had stopped blowing warm air and after a night with interior temps of 54 , I called the next Monday morning and scheduled a diagnosis appointment. They were able to get me in same day and sent a great tech out. Paul was the best tech I've ever seen. Great guy and very knowledgeable. Told me things about my unit I would've never guessed. Paul showed me the multiple failures in my system and provided multiple options for repair and remedy. Once confirmed, he was back the next day to repair. I had to be out of town for the end result but he told me how to set it up. When I got back home that night, my house was warm again. Beautiful service and great guys. My coworker used to work with their company and I'm so happy I took his recommendation. Thanks again Paul and Cristian Brothers!

not only did this company over charge me. The employee scared my renter off by telling them that mold may set up from the leak. Even though it only leaked for one day.  On top of that last week the drain started leaking again so the $700 fix did not even last 8 months! Bryan came out to hang a chandelier and 2 wall-mounted lights in one of our bedrooms.  SUPER courteous...SUPER clean-cut...SUPER careful and precise with measurements and installs.  The price was WAY more than I expected (which may be the going rate, not sure), but the overall experience was stellar.  Will be calling them again...thanks Bryan!

I am appalled how they took such advantage of my 85 year old mother.  Her light stopped working and they used a scare tactic of causing a fire, then charged her 3 times more than what it should have been.   We are general contractors, from out of the area, and definitely know the APPROPRIATE costs. This is not an ethical business!!!  Do not do business with them!!!  I would give them negative stars if possible.

After 2 phone calls to them, Joy finally called me back. She told me there is not anything you can do about this, and hung up on me.

Yeah, do not use this way over priced and they are scam artist. You call them out for simple job like unclogging a toilet and you get hosed. I got one quote on the phone and when they got here the price sky rocketed. Stay away from these guys and be patient and look for some one else.

Christian Brothers tried to rip me off for $7000. They told me they would re pipe my entire trailer for $7000. i agreed and when the job was supposedly done, I paid them. A year or so later, I woke up to a flood in my pantry/laundry room, and kitchen. I called Christian Brothers to check it out. The plumber that came out said that the previous team did not re pipe my trailer. They just removed old pipe that was easy to get out. To their benefit, they did replace the vinyl flooring in my kitchen and pantry/laundry room. But the bottom line is they didn't do the job that they charged me $7000 for. And I am sure that the company knew that the amount of pipe pulled from their reserves, to re pipe my trailer was not even close to the norm. Do not trust them.

Arrived in Sun City West on Saturday, 10/29/16. A/C was not working. My mom (homeowner) called Christian Brothers for service, and they sent a technician  in a short amount of time. It was determined that the compressor needed replacing. George B (the SUPER TECHNICIAN!) explained that by replacing the entire condensing unit, she would have a 5-yr warranty instead of just 1-yr for the compressor. Not that much $$ to do this, either. Needless to say, we had to wait until the following Monday for the new condenser, but George and Jon came right away on Monday, and George installed the new unit along with a new breaker. I cannot say enough GOOD things about George!!! He is the most respectful, highly trained, and nicest repairman I have ever dealt with! KUDOS to Christian Brothers for having George B for an employee. I hope you know what a GREAT employee you have. Thank you George!!!

Nice employees, but this company is not Christian...they are out to make money at your expense. They are preying upon innocent homeowners who don't have plumbing or electrical expertise. I was quoted $3500 for an electrical fix. When I got a second opinion, another company quoted me $375 for the exact same work. Plumbing wise, $1000 quote to repair 3 leaking faucets...a second bidder laughed and said, it would only cost that much if it was 24k gold! RIP OFF. This company should be ashamed of themselves.
Instead, check out Clear Air & Power & Electrical or Beebe's plumbing.

I wish I could give this company 0 stars.. the first bad experience we had was when they replaced the coils on our unit we overpaid by wayyy too much and when we were still having issues with the coils the man who did our job refused to return our call it took us forever to get them to respond and still left a vent semi ripped off the ceiling.. that was 2 years ago now this year we woke up to a leak coming from the attic so we called them and they came the same day.  The man who came went up the ceiling and said our main pipe was clogged and to fix it it would be about $600 so we told him no so he just drained the puddled up water and poured it down the secondary pipe.  Only he didn't pour it he dumped it in our attic so now we have about $2000 worth of damage and the ceiling, walls have to be redone. We then tried to call the company to see what they could do and of course there was nothing not even refund us the $70 fee they charged just to have someone walk through our door.. please dont use this company.

Had two leaking vacuum breakers (backflow prevention units).  I asked Jeff H. to provide the least expensive alternative for a FEBCO 765 repair or replace.  At the time, I had no idea what the unit was or how to fix it.  Jeff came back with a replacement cost for both units of $1,120 (which included 10% off).  I was shocked.

I declined the service and got on the internet.  Turns out FEBCO offers a lifetime warranty on the brass housing, which was not broken or damaged.  There was absolutely no need to REPLACE the entire unit.  The cost of the OEM repair kit was only $30 at Lowes.  5 minutes of DIY to remove and replace the inner mechanism and I saved almost $1,100 vs. what Christian Brothers would have charged me.

I'm sure Jeff and Christian Brothers would know that an inexpensive replacement kit would have fixed the problem entirely but chose instead to recommend a much more substantial, unnecessary, and expensive repair.

I would not recommend them to anyone.

Our main toilet has been flushing slow for a week, so called Christ Brothers for rooter service with a coupon. They came, did their rooter thing and the toilet seemed fine for a few days. Then it started backing up again so we called again. They came out again to rooter it and again it seemed fine fir a coup of days, but now both toilets are backed up.  Seems to me they are not really clearing up the clog, just pushing it down further along the pipe!! No good at all!!

On March 23, 2021, I had scheduled with Christians Brothers HVAC to fix our air conditioner. We have a large home with 3 zones, and the zone for the 2nd floor was not opening. A second issue was that our heater wasn't working at all, heat was not an issue but seeing's we were working on our HVAC system; we might as well have it fixed. Chris, our technician arrived and found that the damper was stuck. He needed a second visit with a second technician to be able to check it out better. George (our second technician and a company trainer for Christian Brothers) and Chris checked it out.

Chris told me that we needed a new motherboard for our unit. He was not sure if it would be covered under warranty; he was going to check and would get back to me. The 2ndfloor was now cooling, so time wasn't a big issue.
On April 1st I received a text from Chris (technician) telling me that the motherboard wasn't covered under warranty and the total replacement cost would be $1,595.00.

On April 9th I received a second text from Chris (the dispatcher at Christian Brothers) was valued at $2,700.00. I could not get a straight answer on the costs. I have bad hearing so I made a trip to talk to a principal at Christian Brothers. I talked with Dave Harvey who indicated he was an owner, my intention was to let him know what horrible service we had received, I told him that we would not need his services, to fix our problem. Perhaps this was a glitch in their system and I know someone in his position can't fix what he did not know is wrong. He indicated that Christian Brothers had been in business 40 years so there service must be good.

On June 24th, we had Howard Air come because once again, the 2nd floor wasn't cooling and it was warmer that we could stand. I walked our technician around the house and showed him where the 3 zones were located. What we got to the 2nd zone on the first floor it was 7 degrees colder than the set point on the thermostat which controlled the room. He told me that the zones might be reversed. It turned out that the thermostat in the master bedroom was controlling the 2nd floor; the thermostat on the 2nd floor was controlling the damper for the master bedroom. Howard Air checked the HVAC system, made sure the heaters worked in all zones for less than a ¼ of the cost that Christian Brothers wanted that would not have solved our problem.

On Friday, June 25, 2021, I sent an email to Dave Harvey again to let him know about the problem, He has not seen fit to respond, which is sad for Christian Brothers HVAC.

Mikey was prompt and really friendly. He explained all of the electrical issues we had at the house. He was very thorough also. He fixed several unsafe electrical problems.

I reached out to get a quote for a 3 year maintenance plan (which includes HVAC, plumbing & electrical) and did end up getting a good quote/proposal from the dispatch team.
However before I signed off on the deal, I wanted to get the complete details of the coverage so that I know what I am paying for upfront.
.... To my surprise I was told that they cannot share details with customer on what the coverage would be (Ex: if annual check for HVAC has 21 point inspection then they cannot detail out what those 21 points are).

How then will a customer get the trust when this is the first encounter?
Is the customer not right in asking for complete details of coverage to ensure he/she knows what your service includes before he pays you upfront for 3 years ?

Will look forward to what your response is on this.

They get a star for quick response. To their credit there was somebody at my house to fix a leak about 3 hours after my phone call. This was during normal business hours on a week day.

The bad part was their pricing. To fix a blistered pipe that was leaking they quoted $350. I told them that was outrageous and the informed my I'd have to keep the water to my house shut off and not be able to use anything. I shopped it around and had it repaired the next day for $55. I understand there is a premium to be paid for immediate service, however to me an extra $300 was not work having the work done 15 hours sooner.

My fault for not asking in advance what a AC tuneup would consist of but got charged for them to tell my coils will need cleaning with their super special cleaning solution and that is a $500 charge!!!! I asked how bout just good ol fashion maricopa water?  Nope.  Worst $69 spent.

I use Christian brothers for everything plumbing, heating, AC, they installed a tankless water heater a couple years ago now.  I had a massive job they tackled years ago now when the plumbing collapsed under my house.  Water wouldn't drain anywhere.  I called other companies, waited 4 days without water and they didn't show.  When I called said other company after the no show they wanted to charge me emergency fees after I waited 4 days.  I called Christian brothers in a panic and explained the situation.  They had the plumber come that night even though they were working on overtime.  They didn't charge me an emergency fee or anything.  That is why I chose them for everything.

I wouldn't call Christian brothers plumbing if they were the only plumbers left on earth & every pipe sprung a leak in my home!!  They told me they put a shut off on the hot water tank & charged me 450.00. In fact later when a real plumber came out I was shown that NO there was NO shut off!!!  They only capped it!!
But FOUR HUNDRED AND FIFTY DOLLARS to cap it !!!  And lied to me & led me to believe it was a shut off!!   Christian Brothers gave me an estimate to change out the hot water heater & the galvanized pipes by the hearer to copper they also said that the piping used in my kitchen & bath they would not work with that it was substandard the written estimate for this work they gave me says the price   11,071.00 but the REAL plumber that  I thankfully found told me the current piping in my kitchen & bath that Christian brothers said wouldn't work with that kind of pipe , so I had to change & redo it all!! The REAL plumber let me know it was fine & he is federally licensed & insured.  He did my job water heater insulated the small area it was in changed out the pipes for copper & ran hard lines to my gas drier & to the washer. Installed a custom door for the hot water heater new. All that work he did & charged me 2,900 which is much less than ChristianBrothers estimate & more was done to my home. The type of water heater for my home the Real Plumber told me went up to 650. For the Rheem. Christian Brothers had told my partner that the water heater was 2,000.  I'm talking uninstalled both plumbers telling me that's their cost of the water heater!!!!  Which plumber would you choose??  Go with Andy's plumbing !!!
