HISTORY

Established in 1991.
We started Repipe Specialists at a time when virtually nobody was specializing in repiping. At that time we had to educate homeowners on how the process could even be accomplished. After working with the traditional plumbing business model for several years, in the mid-90s we created a unique business model that was designed to specifically counteract the built-in problems inherent in most plumbing businesses. Our goal was to accomplish high quality repipes on a consistent basis. Of course no company can be perfect, but if you can consistently maintain high quality and fix any issues that do come up, you can be be proud of your work at the end of every day. Utilizing this model we are happy to have been honored by both INC Magazine and Smart Business Magazine as well as been the recipient of multiple awards for our success, growth and attention to quality and customer care. We respect and try to carry this tradition of success with us every day and on every repipe.

ABOUT BUSINESS OWNER

As the owner of several successful businesses over the last 35+ years, Jeff understands that a business is ONLY as good as the people who are part of its team. Each member of the Repipe Specialists team is chosen because they do care about their job and they do care about really doing a good job for the customer. We do have fun and look forward to assisting our customers to a life with good water pressure and no more leaks!

We hired this outfit to repipe our house.  They ran pex above our fuse box and made some other careless mistakes that cause us to fail our inspection 3 times.  They claim they can increase pressure and eliminate scalding, however neither was accomplished for us.  All of that said, they did what they said they'd do in terms of repairing the walls.  Would I recommend?  Well, I wouldn't use the, again... so, no.

All of the customer service was fantastic leading up to our house repiping the entire plumbing. Unfortunately when it came time to the actual job, my wife and I were very disappointed. The third party they used to re-patch the drywalls did not speak any English which made communication incredibly difficult. I would not have had a problem with this except they came in not knowing what they needed to patch, so trying to explain this was more problematic than it needed to be. Since Repipe Specialist worked on the plumbing leading up to the house outside, they left a 2ft deep by 3 ft. wide hold near the sidewalk. This hole was there for weeks. Being right next to the sidewalk, I found it to be unsafe for anyone walking down the sidewalk. Eventually we had to get on the phone after our job was complete and let them know this hole was still existing and so they sent someone to fix it. All of this still was not a big issue until months later we discovered there was a large un-patched portion in the drywall behind the stove that was never fixed. With further inspection, we found the shower valve was not replaced as it should have been. Got on the phone and company said too much time has gone by for them to fix these issues. Even though we just discovered it, they claimed we should have called much sooner to the time our job was completed. I can understand where they are coming from but I strongly feel this is poor customer service. Didn't realize I should be watching these contractors like a hawk when they were doing this project to make sure every little detail was completed. As a company, how do you not check all your boxes when completing a job? At the end of it all, I was happy our plumbing was updated, but I urge anyone considering Repipe Specialist to potentially look elsewhere. Too many job completion misses for me to be a promoter of this business.

I have an 11 unit apartment building located in SW Portland (near the downtown area).  It was built around 1910.  I was having problems with debris in the old water pipes collecting and clogging faucets and shower heads resulting is very low water pressure.  So I contacted Repipe Specialists.  I met with Jon from Repipe and gave him a tour of the building.  He wrote up an estimate and we scheduled the work to begin in December.  Since this was a large job it was scheduled to complete in two weeks.  The workers arrived every day around 8:00 AM as scheduled.  They managed to run all the pex throughout the building before connecting the new pex to the water line.  This meant the tenants only had to deal with water shut off for two days (water was always turned on at the end of the day).  The plumbers were very good at showing me some of the difficult areas where they had to use some clever work arounds.  The work completed two days early and the tenants are very happy with the results as am I.

Our experience with this company was very positive.  They did an excellent job from start to finish!  We knew what the price was going in and they finished in three days, as promised!  We could tell the difference right away!  We LOVE our new pipes and the service we received from Repipe Specialists.

The best I can say is Repipe Specialists is adequate.  Let's begin with the sales guy. A smooth professional who didn't explain the he was just that - a salesperson. See Repipe doesn't do the work. They are a clearing house for plumbers in the area. And the various reviews you see are an amalgam of several different plumbers. The company I got was great when they did the work. But not great at communicating. I took time off work for the job only to be told that I misunderstood (I didn't - I had a recording of the call) and the work was happening in the next month. It turns out Repipe takes a cut of the money but they don't actually do anything except bombard your email asking for reviews. True Blue Plumbing was quick and professional. The team that plumbed did the work in a day (including the house to street drilling)! The inspectors came quickly and the drywall was repaired, texted and painted (unexpectedly - I was told I would need to paint). You can't tell there was any work done. Except that my water is clear and clean and the hot water is hot in five seconds or less. Thanks for really great work!

I had original galvanized pipe, very low water pressure, one water item at a time in my house, and at times yellow ice cubes. I thought I had to live with it, no idea I could re-pipe my house, then I heard about Re-Pipe Specialists thru a plumber I talked to on the phone.
The Re-Pipe salesman came to my house, listen to me complain about my water issues, he took a pressure measurement, walked thru my house to see my bath/kitchen/laundry areas. Then he explained what he can do to fix my issues, had samples of shut-offs, pex pipe & connectors. He took a few minutes to write up a quote, one to re-pipe the house & the other for the main line to the house. It included an additional outside faucet & moving the shower head in the second bath. He answered our questions, let us discuss it a bit. Our re-pipe was scheduled the next Monday for 8-8:30am.
The work crew arrived before 8am on Mon, introduced themselves, did a walk thru the house & got right to work. 2 guys in the house one under the house in the crawl space, yuk! At 4:30pm they were all cleaned up & done. I was given a walk thru & explained what was done in each room.  I now have clean water and a ton of pressure! Plus, a laundry area ready for utility sink :)
It has been 2.5 weeks since my re-pipe & I love my water pressure! I can have many water items running at the same time now! My ice cubes are clear! I can run a sprinkler in the front yard and also in my backyard at the same time! I should of had this done years ago!
If you can relate to my situation, I definitely recommend Re-Pipe Specialists!

Thank you Re-Pipe Specialists!!  Life is good! :)

Had the worst experience with this company. After the sales guy met with us at our house we scheduled the repipe. The company they had come out was a joke. I met them at the house while they finished up. I waited in the garage chit chatting with a guy that seemed to be the one in charge. There were about 6 others there. I could see from the garage that they were not using drop clothes. Before they left I saw a guy using a dirty rag to clean the bamboo floor in the dining room. When they left I was shocked to see how much mud, dirt and dust they left everywhere. They left a battery charger plugged into the wall and sitting on my kitchen table. They did not turn the water back on to the washing machine which tells me they obviously did not test it. The city inspector came out a couple days later and the first thing he said when he was done....., You have not paid them yet right? They had not properly insulated or strapped the piping. He said it was just laying in the dirt under the house. They came back out and it failed inspection again. Third time they came out it passed. During this whole ordeal they were hard to reach by telephone and argued with us about what the inspector reported. They also deny putting a hole in our new floor in the bedroom. The drywall guys were great and did a great job. The plumbers had moved our dresser to cut a hole to repipe the outside faucet, they just put the dresser back and did not tell us or the drywall company there was a hole there. Found it a week later while cleaning and had to have the drywall company come out again. We have spent too much time on the phone trying to get these issues resolved let alone the time we have had to miss at work to repeatedly meet the plumbers, inspector and the drywall guys. Save your time and sanity. Repipe Specialists advertises to be fast and professional. We experienced the exact opposite. They suck!!!!!!

Hired them to do a repipe of my house as my pipes were definitely near the end of their lifespan. Everything was as advertised, everyone I dealt with from the salesman to the wall finisher was a true professional. The plumbers who installed the new PEX pipes did not mess around, arrived on time, got the job done and gave me a walk thru explaining everything. I could not be happier with the new pipes or with the great job everybody did. I highly recommend them for a repipe job. Their estimate was much lower than what several plumbing companies gave me.

They did a great job.  I was a little more expensive than I had hoped.  They do use quality material so hopefully that will be worth it.  It took a little longer than planned to get everything finished.  I now have to get an electrician to do the grounding.  I had no idea this was going to be more time and expense as well.  They told me it may be necessary but I had no idea it would be such a process.  All said and done I would recommend them as they do god work and were great at working around my schedule.

We received an initial quote several years ago, but decided not to go forward at the time as it was expensive and we did not have any issues with our plumbing.  After hearing from more and more of our neighbors in our HOA who had problems with their CPVC piping, we decided to go ahead and get the repiping done now rather than wait until there was an actual problem.  The price went up.  A lot.  For both the repipe and the drywall work.  COVID and Supply Chain seemed to be the main reasons cited.

We decided to use Repipe Specialists for just the repipe and went with another drywall provider recommended by both our painter and a friend who flips houses for a living.  Their estimate was about 1/3 of what Repipe's was for the drywall and they did a great job (so shop around for the drywall work.)  As for the repipe itself, the work was done by True Blue Plumbing.   They had a crew of about 6 or 7 show up at 7AM and were done by about 1:30.  For our 2,500 sq ft house w/ 2 1/2 baths, they cut about 21 holes in the wall. They did not have to open the ceiling, which was nice.  They also replaced the PRV for about $250 - which is about the cost of the part since they had to remove the old one anyway.  Jayson, the True Blue lead, was friendly and informative.  He also came back out to fix a minor issue they caused during the installing (and didn't argue about it, which was a pleasant experience.)

Their work passed inspection and I haven't found any issues (it has been about 6 months). I don't know if they are the cheapest or not - in talking with our plumber it sounds like they didn't do all of the things he does (like doing the line from the meter to the house), but they got the work done quickly and with as little disruption as possible.

Have a 1958 house with a hodgepodge of Galvanized, Copper and Pex. Low water pressure in the kitchen and if you flush a toilet while someone is in the shower watch out!

Knew I needed the house repiped and after 2 quotes from Plumbers I called Repipe Specialists. Super impressed with their sales rep. Honest. Straightshooter. The cost was half of what the prior 2 plumbers quoted.

Work was schedule out a month in advance. They showed up and did the whole house in one day. They scheduled the inspection the next day and Sheetrock crew 2 days after that...

Super seamless process and while it's not sexy to spend money on new pipes we know the bones of the house are rock solid thanks to Repipe Specialists!

I was impressed with the professional work the team has conducted at our house. They completed the work in a timely manner and were very careful with the dry wall and the approach they used was such that the dry wall repair it is very easy and they didn't break any marble tiles in the bathrooms which was a great relief for us. I would use them any time I would need and also would recommend them to anyone.

These guys just walked out my door after finishing the job.

I don't understand the other review that claimed they wouldn't share the costs. When the estimated came to our house he explained the costs of all materials and labor. He even let us know where we could save money if we wanted(for example buying a valve ourselves for our shower)

The estimator was very kind, professional, thorough, and not the least bit pushy. If you can, ask for John to do your estimate. We also found the price to me very reasonable and were actually expecting thousands more.

The crew that came out were outstanding. What a great group of guys. They are fast, efficient, kind, polite, and do excellent work.

I'd recommend them to anyone needing a repipe. It feels so good to not be afraid to use our water.

Our house had 50 year old galvanized pipes. One rusted through and leaked so we knew we had to do somoething. As luck would have it we saw Repipe Specialists at a home show and had them come give a bid. Jon was extremely professional and thorough. We ended up getting 3 bids and theirs was by far the most professional and in the same price range. Their scheduling contact person is very friendly and kept us informed of the timing. They had a crew come from True Blue  on our scheduled day. We have a big house and their large crew got it done in one long day. We were most impressed with the care they took with our house, covering all floors and cleaning up immaculately. The crew that came back to patch the walls a few days later was great too. Again very considerate, careful, and skilled. They matched all the textures and after they primed it you seriously couldn't tell there was a hole there. For the first time since we moved in our water is crystal clear. No more rust stains in sinks and toilets. I would unreservedly recommend them.

Easy to set the appointment to have the estimate done. John came to give estimate and he was a really nice guy who explained exactly what would happen, gave a history of the company, explained product used in a very easy to understand manner. The price given was very reasonable. We were told the company was very busy and we would not be able to have our pipes replaced for about 5 weeks. We were able to be put on a waitlist in case of cancellation ( our pipes were terrible!). After only about a week and a half there was a cancellation. The crew that came in to do the job (subcontractor), Davis Plumbing, were fast and efficient. Overall this was a great experience for us and we are very happy with this company and our new pipes!

These guys are excellent.  We have had leaky copper pipes and they repiped our whole house in one day.  The estimator, Doug, was clear and courteous.  Nic and his crew arrived promptly on the scheduled day and were thorough, careful and polite.  The best part was a few days later the new recirculation pump they installed was still super noisy, they came back and replaced it no problem.

These folks did everything they said they'd do. Worked quickly, protected our home, cleaned up after themselves.

A note of caution: they advertise the best warranty in the industry. The lifetime warranty they promise is valid ONLY if you contact the company within 30 days of completion and request a signed copy of the warranty. This helpful tidbit of information was buried in the middle of a sample warranty that came with all the other paperwork. I failed to get that piece of paper, so apparently my warranty is worthless. I wouldn't have discovered this yet if the texture they'd put on the wallboard repair hadn't started cracking and flaking off after a year.

The technicians did a great job, but the business practices of Repipe Specialists are a little shady, IMHO. Even if you get the signed copy of the warranty, I wouldn't be surprised to find them trying to wriggle out of honoring it.

100% bad experience. 1st off they subcontract the job and they ghost immediately after payment is taken. Kevin pretended to care and like he would be involved threw the process is and full of it. Second off they wait to start scheduling till you 3 day cancel period is up. So now you are obligated by contract. They water was brought threw the kitchen floor and cabinets, the new cabinets company didn't wanna ruin 15k cabinets for water pipes so I Had to pay a additional $280 to get the pipes put in the wall which means they could have put them there to start with. Then they scheduled the repipe 6 weeks before they could come do drywall repair. I had holes in my house from floor to ceiling for 6 weeks holding up my remodel. I could have had the drywall repair done for 1200 less and faster but was un able to cancel. Your walls will not be repaired back to original and when you ask about it the dry wall crew will laugh and tell you, they can only do so good. After multiple attempts to let them fix the job I gave up. But don't worry they still got that last payment collected. $15K spent on the job and Im having someone else come in to repair there work. If you wanna have a bad time go ahead and use this company it will be the experience you are looking for. I have a very very very obvious patch in my ceiling that is not matched and they have told me more then once they can only do so good, this repair is feet away from others that the dry wall guy admitted looked better. Attached are issues some were resolved and some were given the we can only do so good I never expected perfect there's other flaws I can hide and are not noticeable from 10feet away. Know what your getting into with these guys!!

Our experience with this company and the company they contract to do the plumbing was mostly positive. The only complaint we have is that when one of the workers had a mishap with spray foam insulation while sealing the outside faucets he made a mess and apparently washed in our bathroom sink. There was residue of the foam which I have not been able to get out as it had dried before I noticed it. All the other work they did was splendid.

We in our home enjoy the upgrade to the piping in our house. We enjoyed the crew that did the upgrade and the drywall repair was excellent.
The rating is attributed to the outrageous threat to turn my account over to a collection agency for not paying the upon completion fee. We received this threating phone call over one year. We are not aware that there was a 5% charge completion fee and they never get in touch with us, call us or send us a bill. We thought that everything was paid. After one year, we received a threatening call.

Repipe Specialists is a broker service. They do not do any real plumbing work. They subcontract to actual plumbing companies to perform the work, and they take the payments from you. Strongly recommend reviewing the contract in detail and ensure that passing the city inspections must be part of the contract requirement in order to pay for the completed installation. I failed to do this and Repipe wanted their payment prior to the inspection date (which was 2 days after the installation). The financing company could not help because this requirement was not spelled out in the contract, even though it was discussed verbally.

The installation did ultimately pass inspection...

Lessons learned: make sure the contract has the inspection requirement. Unless it is in writing and agreed by both parties, anything else is considered chit chat.

So you know, Repipe Specialists is NOT the plumbers who will repipe your house, they are basically a broker.  They will send a salesperson out, who is NOT a plumber, to give you a price on the job, and then they will sell your job to a plumbing company.  This is relevant for several reasons.  Number one, their salesperson doesn't know all that is involved , particularly in nuanced jobs with special circumstances, like mine was.  They will tell you that they can do things that they cannot.  They also will fail to mention aspects of the job that won't be done, that will be very relevant to you later.  Secondly, the plumbing company who repipes your house has no real interest in doing a great job, other than RS might throw them a job here and there, but most plumbers in Portland are booked out for months so I do not think that's a big deal to them.  In any event it's not their name on the job, so what do they care.  If you don't like the work they tell you to take it up with RS.

So the reason for two stars--I met with the salesperson and explained my unique situation with an asbestos tile ceiling in my basement and that under no circumstance did I want that ceiling disturbed.  He looked at everything and decided it would be no problem to route the lines without disturbing them.  So I book the job.  Then the guy from the plumbing outfit comes and also agrees that it shouldn't be a problem.  Then after the two month wait the crew shows up and I explain the situation to them and I also explained that there were a couple access points within the ceiling that could be opened for them to ROUTE line through. I also said that I would be happy to remove a couple of tile from another section of ceiling that was not asbestos if they needed more access.
So the guys get busy and st no point did anyone say anything to me about the ceiling so I'm thinking it's all good.  What was discussed was that, and this is an unrelated gripe, they were going to leave the old shower valves and the lines to the shower heads because RS didn't include that in the job.  They also said that I would be responsible for patching up all the holes that they cut into my walls to run the lines.  I figured that last one wasn't a huge deal until I saw the enormous gapping holes that they cut that I would now have to figure out how to repair.  As for leaving the old valves and shower lines I pretty much went off and called the salesperson and insisted this be done, as what is the point of repiping only part of the lines.  So that part was taken care of.
But the tipping point was when I went down to the basement and assessed the situation I discovered that the crew had basically destroyed my ceiling.  The access points that I had shown them were now blocked by plumbing line joints, and are now not able to be closed up.  The acoustic tile ceiling was disassembled and then left on the floor for me to figure out.  My husband and I have spent hours trying to cut and reinstall new acoustic tile.  It is a disaster.  I have spent hours trying to patch the gigantic holes that they cut for every sink, toilet, shower, spigot, etc.
And to top all of that off, the workmanship is shoddy.  The valve stems are crooked, and it just looks like they rushed through as fast as they possibly could to get done ASAP.  It feels like a very cheap, second rate outfit and I will warn anyone to be very careful if considering using them.  And the pricing was only modestly lower than a regular plumbing company so I would say pony up the dough and go with a real plumbing company who can tell you up front how things will go so that you're not blindsided like we were.
Oh, and I tried to call the plumbing company but they won't return my calls.  And Repipe Specialists won't do anything to make it right.  I was told it was outside the scope of the job.
Consider yourself warned.

I have used them before on a project that had some minor issues but overall was happy with their work so we used them again for a new job fixing our rental property that developed a supply line leak between the house and the street. The quote was not the lowest but they were able to come out right away and completed the project the next day. Very pleased with all aspects of this job so far. The hole in the front yard has not been filled back in yet but I don't expect any issues with that.

We had our water lines replaced in May 2012 by Repipe Specialists of Oregon, and we could not be more pleased. From their sales rep to the work crew leader to the workers to the patch worker, all were very professional. They showed up on time, knew what to do, and used every minute to get the job done. They completed the plumbing work on our 1938 Portland home in a day and a half, and cleaned up after very well. The wall and ceiling patching was done on schedule in less than a day, and turned out better than I expected.

I was pleased with Repipe Specialists overall and would actually give them 3 1/2 stars.  The guys did a great job and were neat  Cleanup was good and Tony did a very nice patch job.  The price seemed fair except that it cost me more than estimated.  My biggest down side would be the scheduling with Davis Plumbing.  Had to leave messages and it took a while to return.  No heads up call to give an estimated ETA so had to wait.  It took more than the 3 days estimated.  So far no leaks.  They did reverse the water lines in the utility room and had to come back out but other than that, everything is working better than before.

We were sold a lot of promises that proved to be untrue.  At best they were unethical, and I would not have used them had I known their true practices.  We have done extensive remodeling in this and other homes, and this was the worst experience I've had with any type of work we've had done.  Save yourself money and headaches and hire a plumbing company directly!!

My name is Nanette.  I have never done this before, but I feel that everyone should know my experience with repipeing our house.  My husband found Repipe Specialists on line and they had Jon Holman come out.  He spent 1-1/2 hours with us and did an outstanding job explaining everything that would happen, what we could expect, how long it would take, and we had a quote in hand before he left.  He even brought a book of visual aids for us.  The other two companies we called spent about 30 minutes with us and we never heard back from them.

Patriot Plumbing and Mechanical (a Repipe Specialists authorized company) showed up on time, protected our carpets and furniture, and went to work.  They were so professional, on top of things, did an excellent job, and were finished on time, and cleaned up their mess.  We had so many holes in our walls (47 year old house) you would have thought they were looking for treasure.

We chose to have one of their company's do the patching work and you can't even tell on some walls (because of paint color) where the hole was.  I was so impressed.  Again, protected everything with sheeting and covered floors.

Bill and I got everything we were promised and more.  Taking a shower now no longer is a dreaded half hour ordeal as we have water pressure now.  Our pipes will never clog again or break.  Yes, it is an investment, but through Repipe Specialists it is a savings and we now have peace of mind and good water.  I strongly recommend Repipe Specialists for your repipeing job.  You will not be disappointed.

I had house repiping work done through Repipe Specialists of Oregon - but they don't actually do the work, they contract out to local plumbers.

If they assign you Davis Plumbing run away. Insist on getting a different contractor.

Davis Plumbing did an acceptable job on the actual plumbing/pipe replacement - but everything else about their work was shoddy. During this COVID-19 lockdown, the head of Repipe Oregon had an interview on local news talking about all the precautions their teams are taking. Davis Plumbing contracted through Repipe Specialists did none of them. (The interview is even posted on the national Repipe Specialists Facebook page.)

Davis Plumbing had zero regard for my personal property in the basement. Didn't make any attempt to cover items in the basement, let water just flow all over and clean it up at the very end, saturating multiple rugs requiring double washing to clean them - rather than just picking them up ahead of time. Thankfully, the only things actually damaged were just cardboard boxes (not their contents,) and a few rolls of toilet paper (although that is rather precious at the moment,) and a toilet seat that they did replace - although the one they replaced it with was very low quality. Yes, they just stood on our toilet seat rather than use a step ladder, getting the toilet seat cover nasty requiring multiple washings through the washer just like the rugs, then breaking it.

And now, I find that the wall patch they did where the water main comes in is leaking like a sieve when it rains. I'm in Portland. It rains a lot. I've just used every towel in the house to soak up water coming in through the basement wall where they patched. This started on the Saturday after they did the repipe work; I couldn't get a hold of anyone at Davis Plumbing, I had to call Repipe Specialists to get them to lean on Davis to get someone out Monday (two days later.) Thankfully it didn't rain in between. They came out Monday and redid the wall patch. Now it's Wednesday, and the first rain since then - and it's coming in even worse. Again, I wasn't able to get a hold of anyone at Davis - I had to call Repipe Specialists who are trying to get someone to fix it for me.

We had a great experience with the sales person and the team that actually did the installation of the new pipe.

The capability of the new system was explained in detail, with physical samples of the products being used to replace our current metal pipes. The plumbers were excellent both in explaining what they were doing and ensuring that we had water available overnight as the house was a 2 day job (~2400SqFt). The day they finished the job, when hooking up the water heater, something went wrong with the heater itself. The plumber in charge had a new unit in his truck and replaced it with ours as it had been working before they started. I was very impressed with this crew and their work. When finished, the water coming out our pipes was clearer and cleaner than it had been in years, with much better pressure.

The Dry Wall contractor who came out to repair the openings told us he was not the usual person who did this. The usual person was unavailable, due to workload, etc...  but the contractor who showed up for our job told us he Had many years experience at doing Dry Wall. Long story short, I had to re-patch several of the patches prior to painting. There were noticeable issues with tape, mismatched or uneven gypsum, and texturing. Not major issues but really annoying, hence the 4.

Repipe Specialists did an amazing job on our home! They were on time, did what they said they would, and the results are great. Very easy to work with, from sales to our contractors to payment. I'd recommend them to anyone that needs to have their pipes replaced in their home!

We are VERY pleased with our whole experience with Repipe Specialists.  We (family members)  had been discussing getting the galvanized pipe replaced  (late 60s era,1800 sq ft,  2 bath, tract home) were already familiar with PEX, and did some research online. The estimator was clear, had material samples, answered all of my questions, offered suggestions, and pointed out that the code upgrades would be included.  There were no high pressure tactics used.   Making an appt was also easy.  At the arranged repipe date the sub-contractor arrived on time,   While his crew (all licensed ) was laying tarps to keep the floors clean as they went in and out,  the owner/lead discussed the options on the work to be done with us, took the rough in valves and trims we had already purchased, and they all dug right into the project.  When the job was completed they did a great job of cleaning up.   We did chat with the sub-contractor who said he was happy to partner with Repipe Specialists- that it kept his SMALL LOCAL BUSINESS busy doing what they do best - plumbing-  without having to hire someone to promote the business and chase down leads.
The BEST part was getting up this morning and turning on the hot water in the sink which warmed right up within 15 seconds - instead of 3 minutes!!!! Ditto the shower!  Thank You!

I had a good experience with this company. The sales representative Jon was very knowledgeable and answered all my questions and went over a thorough history of the company and their work. The actual crew that performed the work did a good job. I was under the impression during the estimate they had their own crew but they actually had a sub-contractor crew called Davis Plumbing.

The main reason they aren't getting 5 stars is there was a lack of communication between the folks at Repipe Specialists and Davis Plumbing. Jon let me know they were pretty swamped and my job wouldn't start until the second or third week of May. On May 2nd they were at my door at 8 am and no one called. I had taken the day off because I had ran a marathon the previous day and was just planning on sleeping as I was completely sore. I was told the Office was supposed to call. When I called the office, they informed to me the crew was supposed to call. So apparently everyone was supposed to call me but no one called. It wasn't a big deal as I had the day off but I thought a head's up phone call would've been nice. I was told early on there would be some leeway in financing the job and the crew wanted me to pay everything in full.

They offer dry wall repair but I ended up going through a different company I've used before then the people they sub-contract with. They seemed rather expensive for dry wall repair and the company I used did it for half the cost. Jon let me know the dry wall I could use whomever I wanted but still gave me an estimate of their dry wall guy.

Overall this is a good company and the help was knowledgeable and friendly. The main issue was the lapse in communication between the company

When the estimator came to our house, I was very impressed with 2 things mainly, Jon Holman's knowledge and explanations. He was not only friendly, but explained everything exactly as it was going to be done (and was done).

The job was completed quickly and we had a bathroom available all during the job. I asked a lot of questions during the repipe and Justin (our installer) was very helpful and patient with us. I tended to ask a lot of questions and watched as the project progressed.

We never had to worry about any bait and switch deceptions. As far as I can see every single thing was completed according to our contract. And was done well. No additional charges!

The people doing the job were very friendly. They all answered my questions, even though they were all busy and working hard.

About my decision. I asked for bids from several plumbers (Including Repipe Specialists) and learned much along the way.

The highest bid wanted us to do much of the work and wanted to charge extra for an inspection and permit.

Another plumber asked to use our toilet before he left, then left the toilet badly plugged up.

One plumber drove by our house and sent us an estimate without even stopping to look inside the house.

The next plumber sub-contracted the job to another company, and the people from the subcontractor couldn't answer many of my questions - or even who the contractor was.

The estimates on our house ranged from $5600 to $10,000. Repipe Specialists came in between the lowest and highest bids. Most of the plumbers were more interested in getting their money than giving us a detailed estimate. Several gave written estimates that included their name, address, phone number and maybe a breakdown between the house re-piping and replacing the supply line to the house. I don't think they even specified the materials except they said that they would install PEX.

With Repipe Specialists and Justin - there is no competition in Vancouver, WA. The rest are laughable!

We have already referred Repipe Specialists to our friends and neighbors. I am planning on making copies of the 20% off coupon with a more detailed story of my experience to give out to my neighbors. At least I can say I warned them..... :-)

I had Repipe Specialists come and give me a bid.  The bid was quite a bit lower than the other bids I got.  I had them come and repipe my 3 full bath house and do the main line.  They were done in less than 2 days and keep the place very clean.  They put a barrier down on the floor where they were walking.  Cleaned up messes as they made them.  They were very friendly and efficient.  I would recommend Repipe Specialists to all people who have yucky galvanized pipes or pvc.  My water pressure is great and the water itself is clean.  Thank you so much for taking care of my pipes and my house.

Repipe Specialists did an awesome job. I was afraid that doing a repipe would turn my home into a huge construction zone but they impressed me. They were efficient, super nice and very professional. The holes they needed to cut where not the enormous mess I thought I would see, they cut as needed and cleaned up after themselves very well. I also had a couple faucets that were a little loose and, without, asking, they fixed those for us. They answered all our questions regarding our estimate and the work; our end cost was a little below the original estimate and I have already recommended to several people! The gentleman that did our job was Justin and he was fantastic!

When realizing we needed to have our house re-piped, our first thoughts were: We were very skeptical of having people in our home for a few days. Are they going to make a huge mess? Who are they?
We sat down with Jon, the sales person and began the process of a consultation. He was AMAZING! He totally put our minds at ease and thoroughly explained the process and answered our questions about materials as well as the questions above. We immediately chose Re-pipe Specialists.
The crew came in on the scheduled date promptly. They were very careful of mess making (they cleaned it all up spotless on a daily basis), as well as trying to do the job with minimal holes in the walls and ceilings. Passed inspection with flying colors and then followed up with a crew to repair said walls and ceiling. All together it took about 4 days to complete. They were VERY respectful, and helpful during this process. I'd highly recommend Re-pipe Specialists.

We needed to replace all of the old galvanized plumbing in our house because of rusty water.  We contacted Repipe Specialists of Oregon  because we heard a radio advertisement which stated that they would not only replace the plumbing but would also repair the resulting holes in the walls and ceilings.  This seemed much more convenient than obtaining separate estimates and dealing with separate contractors for the different parts of the job.

The representative who came  to provide an estimate was very knowledgeable, thorough, and professional.  We decided to  have  Repipe Specialists of Oregon perform the work.

The members of the crew who arrived to perform the plumbing work were all very courteous, professional, and efficient.  The work was completed in two days with the water being shut off only for a little while on the second day while they made the final connections.

During the inspection of the work, which was required before the patching could begin, the inspector commented that the plumbing work had been done perfectly.

As with the plumbing crew, the members of the crew who arrived to perform the patching work were all very courteous, professional, and efficient.  The work was completed in one and a half days.

We were very pleased with the results of this project and enthusiastically recommend Repipe Specialists of Oregon to anyone in need of a complete plumbing replacement.

Repipe just finished our house. Price was around $9000.00. 1.25 bath. 1636sq ft house. Will keep you posted if any leaks or problems. One thing to note, they sub contract out, they do not have their own crew. The business is located in California.

They were great.  I got bids from both them and plumbers and the total cost for me would have been about the same.  Repipe Specialists did not have to ruin either of my shower surrounds which would have added to the cost if I had gone with a plumber.  They came recommended by a family member not to mention they take care of everything from the re-pipe itself to patching the walls after.   I was impressed with the estimator who gave me a thorough explanation of the process and what would be involved, the plumbing company and the drywaller were on time and courteous, professional and kept me informed of progress along the way.

Our home was built in 1911 and added on a couple times over the years. We had a lot of weird things under the house, including galvanized plumbing, and the wrong sort of PVC.  Some days, you could wait nearly 10 minutes for a trickle of hot water to reach the kitchen, which is barely 30 feet away from the hot water heater.  We received another quote to Repipe the house a couple years ago, but when contacted the plumber did not seem to want the job.  I heard a commercial on the radio and thought that a free quote could only help us.

It is true that this company does have contractors that they work with, and we got PEX Plumbing.  The initial salesman who came to our house was direct, clear, no-nonsense, and gave us everything we wanted in a price cheaper than the plumber with more things added in.  Like most people, I worried about having multiple strangers in my home in a COVID world.  I was assured that their staff are tested regularly and symptom free.  It helped my concern that the doors were open all day, and I ran an air purifier with UVC-Light as added an precaution.

The day of piping came.  The crew showed up on time. They obviously know what they are doing.  It was like watching a well oiled machine.  Everyone was courteous, respectful, their language is appropriate.  They covered everything to protect from dust.  Not a single drop of water was spilled anywhere. Throughout the day the owner of PEX plumbing came to check on things, making me feel that things were being done properly, a second set of eyes were on the work.

It's a noisy process, and I think there were 5-7 men there (which I actually expected), but they know each other well and work well together.

In the end they cleaned up a lot of their mess, and were done with the whole process.

We are thrilled and occasionally think we should have them back to turn down the water pressure (Lol).

We had a couple small issues that came out of this, both of which are specific to our quirky old house, and not their fault.  Our only complaint is how they put the on and off valve on the hot water heater.  It has made getting our walls repaired tricky, if repaired correctly we won't be able to turn on the water.

We are using our own handyman to repair the walls, so I can't speak to the drywall folks.

Our city inspector had no issues with their work, and seems to know them well and they have a good reputation with him.

In the end:

The price point was excellent, the people are easy to deal with, all of the work was done in a single day.  We would totally do it again.

My estimator was very courteous and professional and gave me a quote on the spot. The subcontracted plumbing company, True Blue Plumbing was professional and followed up to correct a couple concerns I had. After my install, I saw the old pipes in the wall which were copper. At this point, I realized I didn't need a full repipe afterall.?I was told by a different plumber from a different company that since I had galvanized piping, I needed a repipe. No one ever verified this. And I don't know anything about plumbing. I was sold on a full repipe which was much more than just a repair of the problem would have been.

To be honest, I was very apprehensive about having Repipe do the re-pipe on my house.  I had gotten one other estimate, and one partial estimate for the work, and had already done some major prep work ahead of time to try and save some money.  But having done all of this - trenching my own service line, cutting (and patching) my own access, pulling insulation away from under the house etc, was all pointless when I could never get the plumber I was working with to even return my call, much less show up.  I get it though, I was a pretty small job considering ROI for those guys, they aren't exactly hurting for work at the moment.  But, it was to the point that I had to get this done, what with a giant lawsuit waiting to happen in the form of a deep trench in my front yard; right up to the sidewalk; and the many drafty holes in my walls.  I had these guys figured one of two ways - 1) smash and vanish ala the money pit, or 2) wham bam slam it together and collect, so again, these guys were not my first choice (but should have been) but I was now desperate.  Had I known then what I know now, I could have been done with this project months, yes months, ago and I could have saved myself a lot of pointless work and aggravation for what turns out in the end to have been not much of a savings in the grand total.  That said, yes, they were a bit more expensive than the alternative I was initially pursuing, but what is the time and aggravation I put into this really worth, right?  As it turns out, the crew that came out from True Blue were just terrific.  They were fast, professional, personable, and worked around all of the obstacles I put in place trying to help them save me a few bucks.  Another review wondered if they needed a full re-pipe as some of the pipe had already been changed out for copper.  I also had some fairly new copper I had originally thought to re-use, but in my situation at least, the benefits of abandoning it, in terms of both installation and money, it just made more sense to abandon the newer copper, along with all the grotty iron pipe and run new pex. Which, by the way, these guys use only wirsbo which from what I learned researching this project is pretty much the only way to go if your using Pex.  In the end, I am more than pleased with the work.  I still think my very simple layout should have been a bit less money, but they use really quality materials, and did fantastic work, so, from a value standpoint, I have to say it was worth it.  Especially since I can now get hot water to my kitchen sink faster than I can boil it, which previously was not the case!  In closing, don't do what I did if your thinking about re-piping your house, the only investment in time and effort you should be making is to pick up the phone and call Repipe Specialists.  They show up when they say, do the work they promise when they promise it, and do it well.

We had a very positive pleasant experience with repipe. The salesperson was very respectful and professional and did not pressure us. It was very clear what the cost would be. The workers were  polite and worked great as a team.  I would recommend  RePipe.

I moved into my older house knowing I was going to have to have the pipes redone at some point...and shortly after I moved in I started noticing the rusty color water more and more often.  Just as I was starting to research who to contact about this major job, a professional colleague happened to mention that he'd had Repipe Specialists perform a similar job at his house and they had been quick, meticulous and cleaned everything up when they had completed the work.  He gave me a referral coupon in case I wanted to go with this company.  I did check around a little and while I believe that I got a good deal financially speaking, more importantly after meeting with Jeff and seeing how incredibly prepared he was to help me understand what the job would entail, what I could expect and what options I would have, I was very impressed and felt immediately confident that working with Repipe Specialists was going to be the right choice.  And it was.  Jeff was communicative through the planning process with me.  The project team from Advanced Plumbing was courteous, efficient and competent....as well as friendly and helpful.  The job was completed inside of 2 days and everything turned out perfectly well, just as I'd understood it would.  These days when customer service seems to be a dying art, I have to say that this experience was really refreshing.  I'm most appreciative and would recommend them to anyone needing help with pipe replacement.  That's what they do and they do it very well.

This review to be updated depending on how quickly Repipe corrects the problem.

I had pipe work done on Monday 3-15, with a follow-up inspection completed to verified latency Tuesday 3/16. That same evening, I noticed continued leaking although very minimal coming from possibly the sump pump in which I was told was most likely old rain run off.

Today, Wednesday 3/17, another inspector arrived about 4:30pm and informed me that everything looked okay. Then 5:30pm, I walked outside and there was profuse leaking from from the water meter and draining out onto the street- the water meter was submerged! I could not even get to the shut off valve.

I called Repipe, in which they asked Can this wait until the next business day? Hmm, considering Repipe took over a week to schedule me and I'm most likely facing an exorbitant water bill and adding on to the stress of all of this, I told them ASAP is preferred.

I am now waiting to hear back from anyone to address this issue.

Replacing old pipes is a bummer but it needs to happen and these guys made it an absolutely simple and seamless process. I had an appointment for an estimate, then the next appointment for the complete repiping, and the third and final appointment with the man who repaired my drywall. Each appointment began on time, each individual I worked with was professional and knowledgeable, and their quote was lower than any of the others. The work was great, the results are great, and it's backed by a great warranty. Highly recommend this company!

They have the sales process down. Everything was explained well and I had a good understanding of the scope of work that was going to be done and how it was going to be done. The final product is great and I am glad to be rid of the original 1956 pipes.

The work process was a little bumpy as the City inspection found several areas of concern that had to be corrected to finalize the process. I am not a plumber but the issues seemed simple enough that licensed plumbers should have known. The cleanup and follow-through were also lacking. They left a large bag of trash in my basement, left a lot of old pipe cut up and left in the walls/hanging out of the basement ceiling, and the grossest part was finding a bucket with feces in it hidden under the stairs in our basement.

I think a lot of these issues would likely be solved through a better vetting of third-party plumbers that are used.

They did a great job. Lots of communication and open with all info. Nice that the main line and the wall repairs were all included. Everything was done in one day (except the wall repair). Good guarantee and follow-up. Only drawback is some extra piping under bathroom sinks which cuts down on cabinet space.

I have some water pressure issue due to old pipes. I have a very simple 40ft run of pipe. with four vertical connections. I was at the home garden and remodel show. these folks had a special. I had them come and do a bid. Nice fellow came but didn't bother to see under the house (not a surprise) the bid was a little high but as I discussed it with my wife for a week we got a call. I expressed the issue of cost and asked for a break down for labor and materials (a very common request). I was phoned by a very aggressive and frankly rude person who indicated that it was basically none of my business what the cost was. My house my business so I bed to differ.
So now lets set the record straight. They charge a very high labor rate and are simply afraid to admit it. Which is rather funny as I had great confidence in the company with the sales pitch and the demeanor of the other two folks I spoke with until this nasty women called me. I accepted that the labor rate was high and I was simply curious how high it was. (for the record I our family van to a specialist to work on, they charge more but do the job well and fast)
Would I have had them do the work? As I told them, money is tight and I am waiting on my tax return. So why try to pressure me? Think of this, they had a sale at the show. When she called me she offered another sale price. So if your work is good and your price is fair why the need to discount and be so aggressive and why the need to hide your costs. In a down economy you would think a little more accommodation would be present a little customer service.   So I will post here, on Google and on Angies list to make sure every one knows just what sort of folks your giving money to. If your pipes have a problem shop around a bit and you will find a better price with nicer people than these. If your not worried about the money I am sure they will do an adequate job. Of course, they won't remove old pipes and they will drill through your walls and floor boards to avoid proper removal of the old pipes. So beware if you have hardwood floors and ever plan to remodel after these people come through. In the end I say stay away from these folks.
