I recently used Clog Busters in my home and I couldn't be happier with their service. Based on my description of the problem over the phone, they were able to give me an estimate and get me scheduled for service the next day. Given that this wasn't an emergency I had expected to wait much longer. The service tech showed up on time and did an awesome job for the price I was quoted. Problem : an old clogged downspout connection. We thought it connected to the sewer line.

Thank you to Jeff and John for diagnosing the problem. After trying to clean the line out with the snake and power washer - someone noted a vibration under the driveway..... a search at Portland Maps showed that the line connected to an old original 1925 dry well.
Now- a 90 year old failed dry well.

They came on time and were very pleasant to work with. They offered ideas on solutions and told me if they do the work, my payment would go as credit to the next job.

My toilet was leaking at the base I called Clog Buster's because they did a very good job taking care of a clogged outsource pipe from a tree root.

So a couple years later I called to see if they could handle the leak at the base of my toilet.
They said they're not really plumbers in that sense but would give it a go. They sent some guy who in my opinion really didn't seem confident he knew what he was doing. He ended up putting two flanges instead of one at the opening of my toilet at the base. Now it leaks worse than ever. When I called them they didn't offer to fix it!

If a business offers to help and makes the problem worse they should fix it.

I had no idea who to call for plumbing problems. But I'm glad I called clog busters. My utility sink, bathroom sink and bathtub were all clogged with a whole bunch of sludge, and needed to be Hydro cleaned. Clog busters plumber Matt was able to come out the next morning take care of the clogs and I thought for pretty reasonable price. He was professional and got the job done. My drains work, they didn't break the bank and I am very pleased with the work that was done. Thank you Clog Busters and Matt, I will definitely use you again if I have any plumbing issues.

My whole house plugged up yesterday, I couldn't use the toilet or the shower or even the sinks. I called around to all the plumbers in my area and left messages and nobody ever called me back. This is the next day and clog busters called me back immediately after I called them today and I spoke to Trisha and she is so nice. She made everything run smoothly and got somebody out to my house today. The man that showed up was extremely nice and it didn't take him long to figure out what the problem was and fix it. He cleaned out all of my drainage from the clean up pipe outside and then he came in and looked at all the toilets and the showers, made them start running again and the amount that he charged me was very competitive. It's a family run business and they just care about people and they want to do a good job for you. So for what he did, the price he charge me, I think was a very good price. I would call these people back in a minute. Yesterday when I couldn't get a hold of anybody, this one plumber did call me back, but he didn't do the type of work I needed done, so he recommended clog busters. He said that he highly recommends these people. When you get a recommendation for another company from a plumber, now that tells you that these people have to be really good. And they were.

Clog Busters are outstanding, I've used them on two occasions. The first was replacing sewer lateral line that was made of 'Orangeburg' material. I had 4 proposals and theirs was the most economic and innovative. They used a creative technology that saved me thousands of dollars and was much less invasive than others. I just called them again for a simple blockage. They were very quick to respond and ensured me their previous work was warrantied. They were very thorough, clean and courteous. We called for over a week and could not get a single person to come look at our job. One of their employees lives only a few streets over. I was told on the phone $3800-$6800 and then received an email bid for $7800!!! Two other companies came in at $3000. They would have seen it wasn't a full line replacement if they bothered to come out. Don't waste your time with them.

Im a real estate agent in Clark Co. Clog Busters did a sewer scope for a home my clients were going to buy. Isaac (inspector) said the line had 2 bellies and they needed to be regraded. When myself and the listing agent started getting bids for the repairs, 2 of the plumbing companies said (from looking at the video clog busters did) they didn't think anything needed to be done. SO, we had another sewer scope done and the inspector (doing scopes for 30years) passed the scope... Clog busters caused all parties undue stress...DONT use them...I recommend you use a sewer scope company that only does scoping and NOT repairs..A conflict of interest in my opinion...

Called these guys out for a clogged kitchen sink. They sent out Chase, who was mellow, professional, and completely upfront about their pricing and how much it would cost to unclog the sink. The sink was filling up with gunk every time I ran the dishwasher, and Chase found that it was the garbage disposal that was the source of the gunk, cleaned it out quickly, and got my sink back to full health. Would highly recommend these guys if you're having clog issues.

I sold my house and one of the issues on the inspection report was the sewer cleanout drain was too small for their cameras. After calling three other companies and getting an answering machine or a date two weeks out, I called Clog Busters and they made me an appointment that very week and told me they had a plumber in the area that could stop by today and see what the issue was so he could have the right parts for the appointment. Tom came over and found that I had another cleanout drain that was easier to access and that I really didn't need to drill for a new one or replace anything. He didn't charge me a penny and saved me lots of $$ and headaches. Thank you Tom for taking the time to help and rest assured you will be my go to plumbing company from now on!!

We previously had a less than stellar experiences with the folks at Rescue Rooter. We hoped to find a local plumber to take care of our problems. We have a pump that moves our effluent out to the city sewer a block away. From time to time the float that makes sure it drains gets clogged with grease and debris. An effluent pump that doesn't pump causes major problems very quickly.

We called Clog Busters and they got us in the same day which was nice. But when the plumber arrived, he didn't have any equipment necessary to deal with cleaning the interior of the pump. Eventually, he broke the float free from the clog, but nothing was done with the build up that lined the walls.

Having watched the work being done, we now know what has to be done to complete the task at hand. Still, it would have been nice to have that work completed by Clog Busters for the payment they received. Oh well, the search for a trusted plumber who can attend to our home's needs goes on.

Clogbusters saved our sanity! I struggled with trying the homeowner DIY route for days, to try & clear our sluggish kitchen drain. To no avail. Finally called Clogbusters and Matt showed up SAME DAY! Impressive response time. Actually it was Matt and Matt, we got two for the price of one. They talked to us, surveyed the situation, and went right to work solving the problem quickly & efficiently. In addition to snaking the drain line, Matt added a required vent under the sink that our *other* plumber (not mentioning any names...) had neglected to install. So we had a kitty emergency during our renovation and one of our cats had gone somewhere in-between the first and second floor and Tom, the owner and cat aficionado, came over to try and scope in the joists. Tom came in the middle of his work day, all the way out in NE in Cully, to help us find Shanks the Cat and didn't charge us a dime. Incredible!

I have worked with this company several times as a real estate broker and they have gone above and beyond to make the sewer scope work (climbed on the roof- crawl through hellish crawl spaces, etc) and after this crazy experience I now know that the whole company culture is all about helping and service.

When I called in begging for cat assistance they had no idea who I was- and I didn't say that I had worked with them through my clients. Wasn't until afterwards, after Tom said it wouldn't cost a dime, when we got to talking that came to light as I hadn't met him before on the inspections and learned then that he was the owner. Wild!

We love these guys and are so, so grateful for their help- yay Clog Busters!!!

Clog Busters is great!!! We had a sewer clog that was backing up to our home that was in both showers and toilet. What a nightmare... Jeff with Clog Busters went above and beyond to help get the clog out of the sewer lines. Jeff's annualized the problem and went right to work. He used a snake to try and clear the line but was having a hard time getting the problem resolved. He ended up going up on the roof to snake the toilet. After after over an hour and working at it he was able to get the line cleared. What a professional ... He annualized the problem and tried all the solutions necessary to get the job done with success. I would highly recommend Clog Busters as they were very professional. We paid clogbusters to do a sewer scope on a house we're buying. We followed their advice after the initial sewer scope visit was inconclusive and asked them to come back and hydro blast the main line to get a better read on the condition of the pipe. Instead of giving us any real conclusion on site, the guy said he needed to take the video back to the office and let others weigh in on what it all meant - our time in the home inspection contingency process eas rapidly running out. That's where the problems began. I emailed and called repeatedly to ask them for their conclusions. I finally reached the owner, Tricia, late the following day. She acted sorry for herself that her group was under pressure to give a real answer. Then, after she directly heard the context of what we needed, she emailed me a vague conclusion that the line should be replaced without giving me an estimate of what that would cost or how much time we really had before the replacement was necessary. We got some really rough, incomplete, undocumented ballpark perspective but I was truly left wondering why in the world I paid these people a total of $500! Dont use this company for a sewer scope on a home inspection. They clearly dont understand their role in the process!

Jeremy came out to look into the cause of a toilet back up that appeared to be systemic. His camera equipment broke just as he was prepared to explore the main pipe. He rescheduled for a few days later once the equipment was repaired. Jeremy arrived an hour after our appointment time. I expressed to him and to the telephone staff that this was inconvenient for me because I had a work-related phone commitment at that time.

He did the exploration via camera, created a video of the pipe and said it was all complimentary. This offer wasn't at my request, it was clealry offered as a customer service measure to ensure my satisfaction. As it turned out, all systems were clear at that point. So, the video taken served as reassurance.

If I am ever in need of this kind of service in the future, I will definitely call them first. I was truly appreciative that they offered me 2 service calls complimentary! Everyone at the office was also very supportive to me in a time that I had unmentionables all over my floor from a toilet overflow.

While I didn't pay for the service, I was prepared to. I am happy to rate this company with 5 stars!

Update - I did have a need and called this company as promised and Matt came on December 20, 2017. I stand by my five stars!

We had a kitchen drain issue off & on for some time. We had a different plumber come out and after being charged extra for a Saturday service call which was not told at the time we made the appointment and other extra charges the drain was still clogged so we were very untrusting of plumber/drain cleaners. I researched Clog Busters and decided to give them a try, this was by far the BEST choice we have ever made!!! They located the busted drain pipe which was under the basement cement floor, and explained the procedure to replace the drain pipe. I felt total confidence in them and what they explained needed to be done. The work was done and our kitchen sink is draining!!! We can't say enough about the great customer service, professional advise and just complete satisfaction from everyone at Clog Busters. I had been asking many many friends and co-workers for referrals when we started this process and not 1 person had a recommendation, well I do now! I will refer Clog Busters to everyone who ask or doesn't ask about clog services as they have earned our business if we ever need anything else done.

A huge thank you and a sincere recommendation for Clog Busters (clogbustersllc.com). Going into the 4th of July weekend we discovered sewage was backing up into our basement bathroom. Our 70 year old sewer line was blocked ( holiday weekend!) Our first attempt at repair was with another not-to-be-named emergency rooter company. After two visits and $600 they declared they could not fix it and left. Multiple friends and references recommended we try and get Clog Busters.

Generously, Clog Busters (Tricia and Tom) took time out of their holiday to help us. Other companies were saying it would be week or much more (without plumbing).

Tom and Arthur of Clog Busters spent the morning of the 4th with us. They correctly diagnosed, excavated, repaired, and back-filled the problem area in just a few hours and at a reasonable price. They carefully took us through a scope exam of the repaired system and never tried to up-sell or add services.

It is great to be flushing again it is great to know there are contractors like Clog Busters out there. We would recommend them without hesitation.

Had a clog/backup in a basement toilet. Needed them to come in, check to make sure the clogged line had cleared (from my efforts), and reset and seal the toilet. They removed the toilet, checked the line (it was clear). But, couldn't reset the toilet flange - told me I would need to call a different kind of plumbing operation to get a flange fixed. I would have done better to call a full-service plumbing operation from the outset, honestly. I ended up paying $204 to be told my line was clear, and I still don't have a working toilet. If you have more than just a clog, go with a full service operation. If these folks had charged me less, I would have been happier considering their visit ended with me still not having a functioning toilet. The technician was very nice and professional and they did come quickly.

I first called for a gutter clean out pipe sticking up in the back yard of a house I just got. It seemed like I would be tripping over it for the rest of my life. When they came out they didn't charge me because they think it will be covered once I level the yard and landscape.
How nice is that to not charge for that service call!!

I later had them come out to mark the sewer line so I can plant trees in the yard. They were so friendly and helpful. Left marks on the ground as well as gave me a DVD plus explanation on the emailed invoice. Also helped clarify a few things about my water line etc.

Going above and beyond. This company is doing an excellent job.

This do-it-yourselfer tried two different over-the-counter cleaners and two plumbing snakes without success. Clog Busters first tried their basic methods - similar to the snake I used - but then resorted to a machine that shot hot water through the system. Problem solved.

The guy was very nice, my very elderly mom felt comfortable with him inside the house. Price tag was $549 which stung a little.

My wife called Clog Busters after our French drain was getting backed up during a day of heavy rain. Our patio was flooding, creeping up to our back door. After calling a couple of places, we were told it would be a couple of days before anyone could come out, which worried us that our basement would be flooded by then. When my wife called Clog Busters, she talked to the owner, Tom, and he said he'd come by after he was done with another job in our area. After taking some time to unsuccessfully find the clog on my own, Tom came by to take a look. He ran his camera from the street back to the French drain and found that a pipe had dropped and that we also had roots growing into the pipe all throughout. He said the only way to fix the problem was to replace all 70 feet of pipe with solid ABS and he could do it but recommended doing it on my own. After talking with me for 15 minutes about how to tackle the project, and saving me a couple grand, he refused to accept any payment for his time or consultation. I really appreciate his honesty and willingness to help me (and save a good chunk of money in the process). I'll definitely be giving him a call again if we ever need his services!

Jeff and his crew are finishing up in our back yard as I am writing this. Clog Busters was referred to us when our plumber knew it was a job bigger than they could handle. Jeff was on the job to work on our septic system earlier than we expected, which was a huge bonus as our job took most of the day. Jeff could have told us any story, and we may have spent the $$$ to get this done. But he, like our plumber, took the time and chatted with me each step of the process. Thankfully, the job was not as bad as it could have been. They were thorough in checking all the lines for any additional problems. He is also providing a written statement for my insurance agent in case I my homeowners insurance will cover this fiasco.

Clog Busters is also far more reasonable in price for the job than many others. While no one wants to have problems like this, its good to know there are places like Clog Busters that would rather sleep at night and give you and honest days work.

we had an overflowing toilet spurting water in our basement due to a blockage in the pipe- we had no idea what it was and had called all over town trying to get someone here. Tom and his guys are rockstars! They did a 200' sewer line replacement for our community and we couldn't be happier! And since, he's been back a few more times for some smaller jobs. We've used a number of plumbers over the years. We have a large home with 3 bathrooms and 2 kitchens. There are some trick grades and drainage issues. I called Clog Busters to help with a failed sewage ejection pump that services our whole home. Tom fit us in last minute and was here in a flash. Had a shower drain issue and they came out same day to fix it for us. They had a 2 hour window and then got a call before that window that they were held up and would come in the afternoon. Clog Busters just replaced our sewer line all the way from the street to where the drains connect to the main inside the basement. They arrived on time, gave us great advice on what to do now and what to wait work we can wait to do. They finished the majority of the work in 1 day and stayed overtime to make sure we had our connections put back together so we could use the sinks, toilet, tub again. Tricia and Matt are rockstars! Clog Busters was dispatched via my home warranty company, and even though the original appointment date was Monday (which would have meant five days without a usable sink or dishwasher, since the plumbing between the two are interconnected), they juggled things around so that Matt came out just over 24 hours after the request. Both stayed in constant communication, and Matt gave me pointers about how to best maintain my plumbing (WITHOUT Drano and similar products, which can eat away at the type of pipes I have) and also promised that Tricia would send a report I could give to my HOA showing that the problem was 10 feet down, thus the responsibility of the HOA rather than the homeowner.

In the process of selling a house we discovered that we had a damaged sewer line. We needed to get it fixed fast so the sale could progress. Clog Busters did it fast and on budget. The damaged line was under our driveway, and I was very worried that the patch would look ugly. It doesn't-they were able to match the existing exposed aggregate. Shwooo! Thanks Clog Busters!

P.S. Don't use Fidelity National Title if you are buying or selling a house. SERIOUSLY. Just saying since you may have a sewer problem when selling or buying--don't add insults to injury.

I spoke to Ashley who quoted a price of $115/hr plus an equipment fee of $125 to clean out our footing drains. When the guy shows up he says the first hour will be $340 because it's $55 extra for each of the four pipes that daylight right next to each other (plus a $5 fee they also failed to mention but that's insignificant).

The job was quoted as a hourly and no mention was made of any per pipe or any other fees. Tom who is the owner refused to honor the hourly rate even though both he and Ashley acknowledged they had not told me about any additional charges. Clog Busters might do good work but that doesn't excuse attempting to jack up the rate for the first hour to almost three times what was quoted.

Contact with Travis & Ashley regarding our sewer situation fooled us into believing in this company. BIG mistake! The jetting person claimed his camera wouldn't go beyond 120 feet on our 178 foot long line? Next day another company who we will recommend had no problem & showed us the poor job they did in jetting our line. This company also tried to sell us on replacing our whole system & when we questioned them they were unbelievably rude & defensive, which set off many red flags. Don't use them. This is a bait & switch company and we suspect they showed up at our job with only a 120 ft scope and just claimed the camera couldn't go any further versus admitting they had the wrong equipment.

I had a water-in-the-basement issue that required an expert. Clog Busters was recommended to me, and did not disappoint. Tom (repeatedly and patiently) walked me through each step of the problem/fix/process, including the part where he contacted the City of Portland when it was necessary for them to get involved with the repair (as the break was beyond my property line, etc.). Ours was a somewhat complicated project, which involved disentangling a party line arrangement with the house next door, while still traversing that second property to reach the sewer main on the other side. Along the way, the work (and the cost) expanded significantly because the digging process broke the water supply line going to the house on the second property.

Overall, our experience with Clog Busters was a very mixed bag: on the one hand they completed the main tasks which the project called for, but on the other hand they did not follow through with some minor details that they had offered. Some of the problem may have been poor communication -- but our impression was that the company was spread too thin, working on different projects at the same time, ours being only one of them. There were different workers shifting between our job and other jobs, and no one seemed to be consistently in charge and able to address our concerns along the way. Also, two of the three workers who started our job were completely new to the work.

The most general point we can make is that for $10,000 we might have expected a little more personal attention than we got for this work. That said, City of Portland inspectors approved the project, so we should now be able to forget about sewer issues for the rest of our lifetimes!

We had our sewer line from house to street done.The guys that came from start to finish new their business and executed beautifully. Not to mention their price was considerably less than rotorooter and did the complete job not just a spot repair. I would highly recommend them!

Recently discovered a leak under my sink, and without paying attention to the name decided to call Clog Busters. However, not only did they send someone out within the hour to fix my problem, they also were kind enough to not charge me since the fix was very minor!

I was extremely impressed with how professional and friendly both Ashely was on the phone, and Chase was when he came to fix the problem! They had someone out here fixing my leak within the hour! If I ever have another plumbing problem I will for sure be contacting these guys, and recommending them to all of my friends and family!

We had an emergency situation when a utility company burst into one of our main pipes in the street accidentally while digging. The utility company didn't have the equipment needed for repairs and Clog Busters came through for us! They came immediately and worked into the evening to restore our plumbing to working condition. The men were friendly and they did great work. I will definitely use them in the future and highly recommend them!

Tom and his crew are top notch. replaced a sewer line for us a while back. fair price, very efficient, communicate well with the layperson. Tom has been totally willing to be in touch with me about plumbing related issues I've had with another contractor, and even came by to take a look at things to help me figure out where to go next. this company is not in a hurry to sell you goods or services, but they are very good at figuring out sensible solutions. throughout the few times they have done work for us, they were very accommodating with our schedule, notably when we have given them very short notice. I have nothing but good things to say

Clog Busters and Matt Mawson saved me big time. I rent out my basement, and the day I had a renter show up, the sub-pump in my basement stopped working, spilling water all over the place. Clog Busters was one of the only business' that could get to my house the day I called. This was a Friday in summer, I know I'd rather be on the water somewhere, so just getting someone for Friday afternoon was a huge relief. Matt gave me a heads up on timing, showed up on time, diagnosed the issue as a damaged float, but luckily the pump still worked. He educated me the whole time on how my basement plumbing is set up, something I really didn't give a lot of thought to, and was super helpful. By this time it's 4:30, so he couldn't get the part that afternoon, but promised to get it 9am Saturday morning and come first thing. He did just that, called me at 9am part in hand, fixed it in less than an hour, and saved me the embarrassment of having renters with no water for the next week. He really nailed in service and follow-up.
