Had an issue with very low water in 2 bathroom sinks on 2nd floor.  Tyler (#2092) arrived and solved the issue within 5 minutes!  He discovered the aerators were clogged and he completed the work and was done very quickly.  Very happy with our service and would definitely call Roto-Rooter again for future needs.  Thanks!

My techs name escapes me but his number is 3638. He was friendly and good with my son. He fixed the problem I had and took the time to make sure it was done right. He was also informative and didn't shy away from me asking question through the process..

I had an extremely clogged kitchen drain.  I tried to 'snake' it myself, no help.  Called Plumber #1, who arrived 3 days later, also cabled the drain to no avail and still charged me $300.
The next day, I called Roto Rooter, within 2 hours a representative was at my house checking out the issues.  He dispatched a technician who arrived at 7pm (they dont charge for off-hours!) and ta-da!  Problem Solved.
Techician was extremely pleasant, gave me tips and tricks.  
Plus - you have a 30 day guarantee - if problem comes back in 30 days,  they will come back fir free!

Matt #2719 was great I have no problems with him. He was very friendly and educational.

I called on Wednesday morning and the call center said they would be able to get someone to me between 945am and 145pm that day. I received a call around noon stating that they would were running behind but someone would be out to see me today. I received a text at 230pm stating that my technician is on the way. At 5pm I called asking where the technician was and was told that they were running behind and they needed to move people to the following day. I told the call center that is unacceptable since I was told he was on his way and I didn't care if they needed to show up 9pm someone was to show up since I had already left work early. I received an other call at 830pm stating NO one would be out until tomorrow. NOT ACCEPTABLE to send a text that someone is on their way I leave work to accommodate your schedule to be hung out to dry plus lose money 2 days in a row for a 5% discount.

They finished the job and they did a good job.  However it felt like they took their sweet time.  They arrived late and after they pulled up we saw them outside talking to our neighbor for a couple mins.  It just seemed like they were moving slowly.  Maybe they don't get very many breaks during their shift? That's how it felt anyway- not sure though.  Anyway they'll get the job done.

Would like to thank our tech Zach Wilkins 0181 on a great job. No one wants to deal with an issue related to plumbing at Thanksgiving. He was great in helping ease my frustrations. Explained everything in detail and fixed the problem. Not to mention an all around nice caring guy! I would use this company again, called within 2 hours someone was here.

I called on Friday night to get service on Saturday. They told me that I was scheduled from 10:00 to 2:00 and I would have priority, meaning closer to 10:00 than 2:00. I called at 1:30 because I hadn't heard anything. Turns out they scheduled me for 10:00 am in 2021. They said someone would be right over. I called back an hour and a half later wondering when right over plumber was gonna be there. Yep, he's finishing up and on the way. An hour later another call, he got held up, some else will be there in 20 minutes, finally showed up an hour after that. I sat home all day without being able to run water without it pouring onto my basement floor. When the plumber showed up she did a great job and make short work of my clog but it's a shame that it took so long to get someone there. I will probably never call rotorooter again.

Had an emergency on Easter Sunday.  Called & they were here in about 1 1/2 hours.
Chris was very polite and got the job done.

Our disposal went out on a Sunday, I scheduled the appointment online and Zach Wilkins stopped over as scheduled, diagnosed the problem, gave us options and finished the job.  Loved the awesome, prompt, professional service.  Thank you Zach.   Will definitely schedule online again next time we need you.  Have a great one!

Tech was good. Arrived fairly quickly. Cleared a clog in my main. BUT 346.00 for 20 minute job I think is way to steep. Just curious I called 3 other places give the exact circumstances and the highest was 200.00. Lowest was 150.00. Not going to use ever again. Way to expensive.

The call, placed Friday at 9am, with a promised arrival time window from 11am-1pm. What actually happened was the arrival of the Tech Robbie at 7pm. BTW, he did not even report to work until 4pm, when his shift started. He cleared the clog, but his device gashed a large hole in the pipe. Since it was then 9pm, and the damage was to a joint, a licensed plumber would be needed. However, since the plumber supply was closed, the plumber was scheduled for 8:30am the following day (Saturday). Well at 8:30 on Saturday, the call came in that perhaps someone would arrive by noon. So we rescheduled the plumber to Monday at 6pm. Well Monday at 6pm came, and the plumber actually arrived at 9pm. He had the wrong size pipe, we needed a 3' and he brought a 4. We rescheduled for Tuesday at 6pm. He arrived and repaired the pipe. No shower from Friday night at 9pm until Tuesday night near 9pm, Charge was $287 to unplug the drain. I will never call Roto Rooter again. Period, end of story.

Terrific job.  Matt (2719) really explained things so we could fully understand what the problem was and his solution for it.  He made it so easy for us!  The company was quick to schedule and easy to deal with.

The technician was on time, pleasant and courteous. He was careful not to dirty my floors on the way in and out of my house.
I just think that $300 for 30 minutes of work is way too steep. All he did was sit on the floor and feed the cord into my basement drain. There were no problems and he did not have to do any other work.  My handyman recommended this company and I took his word. I should have shopped around since this was not an emergency. I will next time.

It is a constant battle dealing with them. I have over 20 calls and emails trying to get a response from them . When I did finally speak with someone it was a conversation of empty promises. It really has been a dissapointment working with them

Julian did a fantastic job troubleshooting the leak and fixing a busted pipe for us. We will definitely call Roto-Rooter again if the need arises and we will be asking for Julian.

We recently experienced a main drain back up.  Roto Rooter was the first and only drain service I would use due to past service of other companies. As I was certain, my drain is clear and the service technician was professional, understanding, and didn't steer away from my many questions asked.

I was able to get service same day for a sewer drain that backed up in my basement.  The tech guy was very professional, friendly and quick.  He was able to complete the job in about an hour.  The only complaint that I have is that when I called for service, they refused to give me any kind of idea about the cost.  I realize that they run into all kinds of situations and every job is different, but when the tech showed up he told me is was a $311 flat rate barring any complications.  There is no reason why I couldn't have been given the information before-hand.  Several people at work told me that a plumber would be $100-$200 so I was expecting that.  The cost is not a deal breaker, but I don't like how they handled it.  The $311 rate includes a free camera scope of the sewer line, but they have to call me back to schedule that...which means I have to move my washer around again since the cut-out is behind it.  It appears that they are adding this free camera scope to justify the $311 price.  The tech told me that most people turn that service down so it looks like they are charging for this free service which most people don't use.  A clever way to make easy money.  I could have done without the camera since the tech didn't even find anything, no roots, no obstruction, nothing...said it was probably just a soft clog.  But, I'm going to have the camera service done anyway.  Overall I am happy with the service and would use them again, but they need to be more up front with their pricing structure.

The technician was professional, courteous and fast. He repaired our clogged basement drain quickly and with no mess. We had a previous plumber wreck our carpet, so it was nice that he was concerned about the mess. The only complaint is that we could not get any type of price over the phone. It turned out that the price was reasonable and we could use a coupon to make it an even better deal, but it would have been nice to have some kind of estimate before the technician arrived.

Dealing with this company is a nightmare. Super overpriced, terrible response times. Both times a tech came out they tried to upsell me. I am now waiting on a video of my pipe to be sent to be (a service that cost over $500!) and they cannot figure out how to send the file. If you have any other options for plumbing service so with someone else.

8-12 window, shows up at 2:00 PM.  Excellent, speedy and professional service when the plumber arrived.  Would have been happier if the dispatch/office was more communicative about the actual arrival time.

Water Restoration came and brought with them all the equipment needed to get the job started on drying up my basement.They cleaned and sanitized the floor and had an air purifier turned on upstairs to get the odors out.They had air blowers and dehumidifiers set up in the basement.They did a good job and were very professional and caring.

Roto-Rooter was readily available when others weren't, 24/1.  Came and cleared our main drain within 2 hours of our call.  Unfortunately same problem recurred 2 days later.  Zach 0181 was sent this time around.  He was friendly, professional  and did a more thorough job.  He cleared the drain but ran the line to the full 100 feet to be certain all was cleared.  He also will set us up for a free diagnostic camera inspection.  Zach's service made having to clean the flooded area again much more palatable.  They guaranteed their work so the second visit was free.

We had a clogged kitchen sink drain over weekend. Not having need of a plumber in the recent past, I checked reviews. R.R. had a good rating and generally good reviews.

Called Monday morning and a tech was there within a couple of hours. (The service from the phone rep was fine.)

The tech was pretty professional. He asked about best way to bring his auger in and cleaned up when he was done.

But as other people have discussed, the pricing is high. The tech quoted the work before even starting. It ended up costing $450 for a little less than 2hrs (arrival to departure). The tech only needed to run the auger. I had the p trap off already).

Doing some checking after the fact, typical case cost for the area is approx $250 - 300.

So just be cautious.

I had router router in my home, gave me an estimate on a job that I specifically called them for,spent $6200 with them and still didn't get the job I wanted done. they had to come back four times,I've called him for the fifth time and told them I wanted my money back because they had to fix nothing. In fact caused more trouble. He told me he would be happy to send me a new technician out for a fee so basically these people beat me at $6200. my appointment was on a Monday and I kept getting put off till that Friday so when I called him the last time they were supposed to be up at my house between 8 AM and 10 AM and they never showed and when I called to find out why they told me that they had the wrong phone number. Do not use these people.

The service technician (Wil Fahrian) was very professional in addition to having good humor.  For example, I turned the kitchen sink water faucet on when I wasn't suppose to.  He was drenched by waste in the water.  He arrived around 8 p.m. and did not leave until 10 p.m.  I considered that a good work ethic and determination  on his part. Yet to start again first thing in the morning a little after 8 a.m.- 10:30ish in the morning.  GOOD JOB!!

Requested an appointment on-line at 5:30AM tech arrived by noon complete the job in less than a hour...Great service, the tech was polite and professional. Thanks Zach 0181.

I typically like to go with local businesses, not large chains. However, I had water seeping into my bed room and needed help fast. These guys were great. Their call center kept me updated on delays and when I could expect the technician. Josh, my technician, was very good. He was professional, polite and very personable- a hard mixture to pull off. He found my problem, the quote was reasonable and he was quick and efficient fixing it. I will use these guys again for my next plumbing project...hopefully a nice long time from now.

The guys that came over were really great, fast, and provided some additional information/help to me that was greatly appreciated.  While there, they noticed another issue, which they also fixed for me, instead of making me schedule a second service. Very professional.

Noticed a drain backed up near our a/c unit in the basement at 5pm on Tuesday night - called Roto-Rooter and they were here by 9pm fixing the issue. Swift prompt service and no after hours or overtime fees. The drain is flowing smoothly now! Nick was as courteous and knowledgeable as could be expected. Great service!

Called Rotorooter on Saturday to set up a Sunday repair. The operator was friendly and we gave her a 4 hour window from noon to 4 pm when we would be available. At 2 pm and at 4 pm I got a call saying the repairman was running behind, but they couldn't give me an estimate on arrival time. The technician arrived around 5 pm. This was the only problem we had with their service.
Zach Wilkins 0181 was friendly and knowledgable and was able to quickly fix our leaky hot water shutoff valve. He had the parts he needed with him in the van. The whole procedure was done in under an hour.  They are available 24/7, which is very nice.

The only reason they did not receive 5 stars is that I would've liked for them to explain what was going on more. That said, they sent someone out on a holiday weekend (after my husband attempted to DIY) who told me exactly what supplies I needed to get and where to get them in order to save money. That alone ended up saving us $200, and the consideration was greatly appreciated. Our shower is now functioning better than before, and our bathroom was left in neat condition when they finished.

Plumber #0181 was on time, very professional and worked diligently to resolve our plumbing issue.  He explained issues that arose every step of the way and helped us make choices that were in our best interests.

PROS: Tech showed up on time and work was done professionally.
CONS: Pricing is 1-1/2 to 2 times higher than the market rate.  There is no transparency in how they price and it seems that the tech will  see how much they can get (especially if the customer is not aware of market prices) and then offer a small discount on what is a very inflated price.  Jobs typically require a trip to purchase supplies that most plumbers carry in their van, resulting in even more labor at their $300+ hour rate.

The technician was great, but the initial scheduling was really awful.  I had a sump pump replaced and he did a great job with the work on the second appointment.  

When I worked with the central rotorooter scheduling for my first appointment, I was given a 12-3 window for arrival.  However, the technician didn't arrive until 6pm.   Rotorooter called me a couple times indicating delays, which I appreciated, but they could never tell me how long the delay would be, which was pretty frustrating.  By the time he arrived I was not available for him to complete the work, so I had to ask him to return.  I worked with him directly to reschedule and the second time he was right on time.

Had Roto- Rooter come out on a Saturday to f ix and running toilet and they showed up on time and was quick and professional.  I would highly recommend them and I personally plan on using them again.

Roto-Rooter was great.  They came out the day that we called about our sump pump and had it fixed that same day even though it needed completely replaced.  I would definitely call them again!

We called another emergency plumbing company first and were very disappointed when they did not live up to their advertised promises of prompt, professional courteous service.  They left us hanging for 4 hours before even replying to our multiple requests!  Thankfully we called Roto Rooter and we had a technician in our basement addressing our problem within the hour.  Steve went above and beyond in his expertise and service.  He not only solved our immediate problem, he talked through potential work we may need to do (no pressure).  He was extremely professional AND friendly.  The service was worth every penny and we will definitely be recommending Roto-Rooter to all our friends!

Do not call. They will lead you on and tell you a tech will be there in four hours. Then reschedule you. When they reschedule you they still will not meet that time. Call Mr.Rooter instead if you are in the NKY area and avoid the run around and bad service.

During heavy reain we noticed our sump pump was not working properly.  Called Roto and within a few hours, Matt came out and replaced the pump saving our basement.  Our battery back up was not working as well so will have to have that replaced too at a future date.

So Roto Rooter to the rescue! Zachary & Chris Showed up in estimated time frame, so that was great as I had taken off of work. Told the guys about the drain problems and where I left off of it. They listened and promptly got their sewer machine and got busy like no ones business! Within an hour they have line unclogged. Me- very happy;) positive experience with these guys. Glad they didn't try to find/sneak other issues into the job and didn't flinch at the online coupon offered at time of service. So yay roto rooter! These guys made your team look good. I believe Zachary will be running the outfit soon!!

Roto Rooter came to my house on a Saturday to fix a clogged sink drain.  It was so easy to set up online.  The technician was friendly, knowledgeable and professional.  He explained what he was going to do.  He fixed the clog and cleaned up after himself.  I was very pleased with the work.

Mike Z. (3492) came out on a Sunday emergency call. He gave it his all and then some. I was getting ready to reserve a hotel room. Due to Mike's persistence, the issue was finally solved!
Can't recommend him high enough!

My experience with Roto Rooter got off to a rocky start. The first day they cancelled their appointment. The second day they sent a technician that did not come prepared with the correct tools to complete the job and he broke one of the kitchen drain pipe fittings. The third day they sent Matt #2719 and he was able to fix the drain and repaired the pipe that was broken with a repair that I hope but question will last. The technicians were both very friendly and professional.

Called Rotorooter on Tuesday morning and got the repair on Tuesday afternoon. Zach Wilkins was incredibly helpful, kind, and professional. We had a gutter issue on the exterior of the house and he, for the most part, fixed our problem. Although he was not allowed on the roof, company policy, he told me what I needed to do to further fix the issue.

Would call again if I needed help with this kind of issue.

To those who are not interested in the whole story its simple... Good Customer service, arrived quick, follow Covid guidelines, worked quickly and professionally, but the amount they charge its ridiculous! It is as if they charge you from when you make the call up to when they leave.

Even though they say they don't charge for the visit... so they come in, check what's the problem, make a quote and if you say no then its ok and they leave.

In my case I had a water pipe leaking so no wasn't much of an option. They wanted to charge me a little over $365.00 to change a water pipe valve and to cut less than an inch of a half inch pvc pipe which the technician who was very professional did it in around 10 min.

I wanted to have the anode rod of the water heater changed as well, which I already had bought and that was quoted to $375.00 (just for the labor) imagine if I hadn't already bought the rod myself.

I couldn't have it changed since I didn't had $700 laying around. And that's was without a guarantee that he could actually change it because there was the possibility that it was sealed and impossible to open.

I attached pictures so that you could see the 10 min labor worth $365.00.

They gave a 1 year warranty for the work they did. Still, I wouldn't recommend this company to anyone. Unless you have money to spent then you are good to go.

Called Roto Rooter yesterday afternoon and my water issue was resolved by end of day.  The technician arrived on time and was very professional.

Has taking care a lot of our plumbing problems for years. Dependable service. Would highly recommend.

We called Roto Rooter after my maintenance guy BF had made several attempts to remedy a shower leakage problem. When it leaked into the adjoining storage space and ruined some of his photos, it was time. Zach (0181) was persistent and open to the BF's requests, even after investigation of the area behind the water controls revealed that the piping had been buried under layers of mortar. He drove his van back and forth to Home Depot to find parts he needed several times, but in the end couldn't resolve our issue. What I really appreciated was that then he called in Bill (722) to review his work and approaches. Bill was able to resolve the problem, which seemed to be related to the age of our home (1950's era), and may have involved techniques that pre-date Zach's training. The depth of experience in the company, plus the humility and persistence of the younger employees will keep us returning for help when we need it.

Absolutely fantastic experience. Unlike some of their competitors, they are actually a 24/7 operation. We called them this morning at 9:00 am after Arlinghaus cancelled on us at the last minute. They had a tech here by 11:30 and he did a wonderful job. I can't begin to express my satisfaction and willingness to do work with them again. Amazing service and great value.
