Dear Friends,

In 2009, after more than 20 years in the residential heating and air conditioning industry, I established and incorporated Travis Crawford Heating and Cooling, Inc. Since then, we have gone from a handful of customers to more than 1000. My commitment to both the company and customers is as important to me now as it was when i created the company.

At Travis Crawford Heating and Cooling, Inc. we offer a broad array of HVAC services and we are able to respond to any and all of your residential or commercial heating and cooling needs. The three areas that we specialize in are Service and Repair, Preventative Maintenance and Equipment Replacement. This means that we cover anything from the bi-annual preventative maintenance check-ups to repairs, to entire unit replacements. We are priced well below our competition, we commit to have the best customer service and satisfaction the industry has to offer!

Excellent Company!  Great Service!  A year ago (Mar '20) i had to replace my two HVAC units.  I contacted several local companies and an independent contractor.  Travis Crawford offered me the best overall option (Price, Follow up check ins, Annual Maintenance Plan, Service and Warranty).  Their warranty was the best, 10 year parts (manufacturer) and 10 year Service ( Travis Crawford).  

Installation - No issues, Travis did a great job.
Inspection - They scheduled everything with the county and rectified a couple of things the inspector found.
Filing - They filed all the paper work including the capital improvement form with the county.
Post Installation Service - they do two free post installation services.  
Customer Service - Awesome!  I usually speak with a lady called Paige.  She is very sweet and professional.  And most of all, she is efficient.  She was super helpful during the installation process and scheduling the various appointments.

First Service - 6 months after installation.  No issues.  Technician was great.  Very professional and courteous.

Today I had my second service check up.  My technician was Jason.  I only have kudos for him.  He found an issue with the equipment that apparently occurred  during installation.  First of all, I am please with the fact that they offer two services.  Sometimes things happen or cannot be caught right away.  So this in my mind is a good protocol to ensure the equipment and installation are correct.  Jason spent 4 hours (until 7pm) working on the issue.  He was very professional and thorough.  He did not want to leave until the problem was solved.  This is going above and beyond!  

I am very please with the work and service offered to me by Travis Crawford.

I definitely recommend this company.  So give Travis and opportunity to earn your business.

BUYER BEWARE - since Travis Crawford's website preaches on and on about transparency you should know their field techs are paid on commission --meaning they can be incentivized to sell you products and services you don't need.

This would explain the behavior of their tech when he was at my home for my second yearly hvac/ furnace maintenance visit which I prepaid $284 for. Even though I was scheduled for the morning he showed up at my door at 5:30p with 1 hour of daylight left. He behaved more like a sleazy used car salesman and didn't go into my crawl space or change my filters (verified by my doorbell camera) which was part of the contract. Even better, he falsified my description of work report saying these tasks were completed and even forged my signature in a box saying I was satisfied with the work completed.

I reached out to the office the next day seeking answers to questions I had on the report as well as the $600 bill on top of my scheduled maintenance. I spoke to an office manager and was told Travis, the owner would give me a shout. He called at 6:30p that Friday which wasn't the best time for me so I asked for us to re-schedule. It took Travis almost three weeks to make any effort to reconnect and deal with this situation. Even though he boasts about his strong morals and business ethics it wasn't until I filed a complaint through BBB.org that he became responsive at rectifying the situation and rightfully refunding my money.

We called to get a quote for a whole house humidifier. The rep quoted us out two 5000 sq ft (top of the line) units when our house is only 3400 sq ft total. I asked why he would quote us on something so expensive when all we needed was 1500 sq DT on each floor. The total quote was over 7 THOUSAND dollars for something that I've paid less than 2k for in the past. I asked that he revisit the quote if he wants my business and never heard back from them. Also customer service in general when you call is just plain old poor. Do yourself a favor, listen to the majority of these reviews, pay less and get better customer service somewhere else.

We had TC come out and replace our condenser and coil. After a few months we already had lost the majority of our refrigerant because of a major leak. They sent out a tech and instead of fixing the leak he just added refrigerant to it and rescheduled to a different day to actually repair it. (So we had to move our schedule around for a third time for them to correct their install issue). Adding refrigerant to a 410A system is terrible for a brand new compressor, you don't know what part of that mixture leaked out and just adding it in makes an improper mixture running through the system and shortens the life of it. And then to top it all off they come to fix the leak and then don't retape the coil to plenum, which can cause extreme mold issues in the duct work! They could've gotten my entire family exposed to black mold. Luckily I saw this and corrected it myself because I didn't want to have to schedule a FOURTH trip just because they're too lazy to get a piece of tape off the truck. DO NOT USE THESE GUYS. They don't know what they're doing.

No matter who I speak with at Travis Crawford Heating & Cooling, the customer service is bar none the best! Like many others in the area, we have been slowly remodeling a home on a budget. After getting many quotes,  Travis Crawford Heating & Cooling came in with the upmost respect to our plans, needs and budget. I can't say enough about the efficiency of their work to help us get our house comfortable. We had one hiccup ON A HOLIDAY EVENING due to the overbearing summer heat and user error...I placed a call to the office, not expecting a call back until the following evening. Within an hour, one of the Travis Crawford Heating & Cooling guys was at my house and worked until past midnight to help us then returned at 8am to make sure we were comfortable. Thank you Travis Crawford Heating & Cooling!

After being told by Brothers Air that I had a cracked heat exchanger in my 2008 Trane furnace I decided to get a second opinion. I have been doing business with Brothers for years but something just didn't feel right about this in as much as the Brother's technician was only in my attic for about 10 minutes. At the urging of my daughter & son in law who have been customers of Travis Crawford since they built their home 12 years ago, I called to get a technician to my home asap. The next day, Joey Trawell arrived with tools and testing equipment. I showed him the report from Brothers, he went up to my attic to test my furnace. After about 40 minutes and performing two combustion tests he informed me that there was no leak. He also took extra time to pull the blower to take photos and a couple of short videos. Joey went above and beyond and I am forever grateful! Travis Crawford HVAC has a new loyal customer going forward!! I called Brothers to report the findings and ask for a refund of $200 they charged me to do this inspection. The manager I spoke with (Jason Stilwell), was arrogant and condescending, he flatly refused a refund. He offered to come out to my home with his technician to meet with Joey Trawell (Travis Crawford) and show him how to find a cracked heat exchanger.  While on hold with Brothers listening to their on hold messages I heard we will refund your money if you're no happy, no questions asked - that's a joke. I'm done with Brothers! Thank you Travis Crawford HVAC and Joey Trawell.

My HVAC system went down last week and it was 95 degrees out, and I have 2 young children at home. I called Travis Crawford HVAC and they sent a technician out to resolve the issue. Excellent customer service and great work. Travis Crawford himself came to service the house which I thought was pretty cool.

Locally owned and operated, maybe the best HVAC company in Charlotte. Travis installed an HVAC system seven years ago and it's been nothing but excellent service since. Clean, professional young men showed up to work in my home, and left without a trace, only difference being my power bill dropped significantly. I had a minor issue few years after the install, and Travis personally showed up same day to correct it.  Support this small but fast growing, locally owned business that employs young professionals from our great city. Don't pay for fancy TV commercials and snazzy billboards, pay for quality of work and great equipment.

I would not do business with these people ever again. I had them inspect HVAC system in my house before I bought it. So, when I moved in the furnace would not work. Since they did the inspection I called them. They charged me for the inspection and then turn around and charge me for this service run to tell me what was wrong. It should be noted they failed to mention in the inspection the issue that was preventing my furnace from working properly, but they had no problem charge me a second time to tell me what was wrong

Our 30+ year old trusted HVAC company, Maye Heating & Air, retired and we were forced to find a new company. After trying another large and well-known operation, we were referred to Travis Crawford H&C who offered the same annual service contract for $100 less. Unlike prior companies, the technician (Brian) did not try to sell us unnecessary services or products. He confirmed that although our 13 year old system is getting older, it still functions properly. He was prompt, courteous, and very careful about protecting our interior flooring when he came in the house. Very pleased with Travis Crawford company and glad we decided to use them!

I write this review begrudgingly, because this company was recommended to me & I had high hopes. When I called, an appointment was promptly made & the technician arrived on time. Although he seemed to make himself at home quite immediately (& uncomfortably, for me... he sat in my arm chair, uninvited. He didn't wear paper booties over his shoes as he trekked from outdoors, over my carpets, in his work boots), he was there less than 20 minutes. He blamed our dirty air filters & left. Later that evening, my understandably miffed husband called a different company. Within the first 3 minutes of being there, they identified our compressor was dead (a $2k job this company could've had, if their technician had looked at our unit). The next day, I received an invoice from TC for $91. I called to dispute it, asking to speak directly with Travis, but I was directed, instead, to a man who identified himself as the General Manager, via speaker phone. He apologized & said the bill would be disregarded. I hung up, feeling pretty good that this was just a fluke & that I might give this group another try one day. Fast forward a few weeks: I get a courtesy call from their receptionist, ON SPEAKER PHONE, to pay my delinquent $91 bill! I stated that the General Manager had told me to disregard it, and, after hearing a male voice in the background mumble something, the receptionist apologized & reiterated to disregard the bill. Well, a few weeks after THAT, this morning, I received yet another call from the TC receptionist, once again on speaker phone, once again I heard the male in the background, telling me I still had an outstanding bill!! At this point, I'm beyond furious, because I have spoken to both the receptionist AND the general manager about this bill (now THREE TIMES), and been assured by BOTH that I should disregard it. Once again, on this third call, she told me to disregard the bill. I'm waiting for the fourth call from her, in the next few weeks, because the employees of Travis Crawford Heating obviously don't do what they promise they will. And I never did get to speak directly to Travis. I went from thinking maybe I just had a tech who was having an off day to not ever wanting to hear from this company again. I'm sad about this, because I had high hopes of hiring a local, small business, but I've gone back to the big guys in Charlotte....

Travis Crawford and his crew are the real deal. They're efficient, competitive, knowledgeable, clean (no debris left at the house), and patient. They explained everything they were doing, worked to get done in one day, and came back to make sure all was well after the install. We had originally intended to only replace the a/c unit, and the quotes I got from other companies were why.  When Travis came to give me a quote, he suggested replacing the furnace, and not the ductwork, and the cost he quoted and what I paid (same number!) was about $1,000-1,500 less than the next best quote a/c & furnace, and nearly $5000 less than some quotes to replace the A/C only. They're easy to get on the phone, and will work hard to make sure they can respond when you need them. Highly recommend.

Travis Crawford really stepped up when I found out that my HVAC system was shot and needed replacing.  His was the most attractive bid of the three I obtained, and he conveniently worked around my schedule to install it. The work was completed on the agreed-upon date, in the agreed-upon amount of time, and my house was left spotless before the work was finished. He is friendly and responsive and significantly more affordable than Morris-Jenkins, the company I used to use for my HVAC service needs. Travis Crawford gets all my business from now on.

I saved over $2000 by having the work done by Travis Crawford.

My husband & I are SO pleased with the work that was done @ our home (AC, Furnace & all new ducts).  Dillon & Josh completed our install & they were so nice, knowledgeable, on time & cleaned up after themselves.  These guys did everything they could to keep us happy and the pricing was very fair.

They kept our AC alive several times until we could replace the units.  They send out quality guys that are professional and respectful.  Everyone goes out of there way to deliver the highest quality customer service.  Often you are disappointed by the service you receive from the trades that work on your home...Travis Crawford is the exception to the rule....I will recommend them to anyone needing HVAC work.  Thanks guys!

Do not use them. I used them prior to purchasing my condo and wish I hadn't. I had to pay to have my condo reinspected and then it was found that multiple things had to be replaced. And at this point I had to pay for everything without help from them or the seller. It will end up being close to a $5k mistake.
