We are doing a major remodel and have been going through this since last August.  We have had over fifteen different contractors at our home.  Robert, our chief electrician has by far proved that customer service, doing a great job and being a good communicator makes a difference.  Robert showed up on time every day, cleaned up every day, when he had to move stuff to do his job he moved the stuff back, no other contractor has done this!  He checks in with us when he arrives to ask if we need anything as he may have to turn off water or electrical and works around our schedule.  I have been in customer service for over 20 years and Robert has exceeded all my expectations!  Highly recommend this business

Justin and Tyler were fantastic. We needed some work done for an inspection and they came in quickly, identified the main issues and worked quickly to fix everything. They also incidentally found another pain point of ours and went ahead and fixed that too. Would definitely recommend these two.

Our irrigation installer noticed live power in the electrical box when he touched it, I immediately called LKN electric (around Fourth of July holiday) and the owner Rob came in person and found the problem, it was muskrat damage to pre-exisiting electrical work installed on our dock. Lake Norman Electric repaired a ground fault to my lake side pump. They diagnosed the issue quickly and offered a very fair estimate. Their front office is very responsive and easy to work with. Dan the technician ran a new line partially through my crawl space reducing the required trenching and cost. The work was performed efficiently with no damage to existing electrical lines or irrigation pipes. The system was tested throughly before they left. I strongly recommend Lake Norman electric to anyone. I was completely satisfied with their work!

We called Lake Norman Electric to enhance our outdoor lighting on our new home. They were so pleasant to work with and the guys onsite were very professional and efficient. They installed disc lights on the exterior, added switches, updated older light figures and helped put up a new ring camera wired on the side of the house. We will be doing some home reno projects in the near future and we will certainly be calling them again. They are now our go to electric company. Their pricing was fair and their response time was impressive. Thanks Rob and team.

I called this firm to come fix my boat dock and they stated I had to pay for a technician to come and provide an estimate, it was not free.  The technician showed up for the estimate along with the bill, what never showed up was the estimate.  Not too much later the company had the audacity to throw me in collections and still to this day have not gotten a written estimate.  I'd pass on these guys

Made an appointment last week for a GFCI fault that happens on my dock, whenever it is energized. Being a water location, I wanted to give these guys a chance at solving this. They came highly recommended. Upon my initial call, the staff was friendly, and assured me it would be no problem. Got a call and a message last week verifying the date and time of service as 10 am to Noon today. Well, after waiting until 11:35 am, I called to verify I was still on the schedule. The nice person who answered assured me I was, and to be patient. I was second on the list. At 4:38 p.m. the office called me to apologize that they weren't going to come today, and they had no space in the schedule for me to make up for my lost time. Time is the one thing we don't get back. Wasted an entire day to waiting to meet them, and explain the problem, as well as detail all the work I wanted done. Now, I get to find a new provider. Ordinarily I would reschedule, but that was the end of ANY willingness to extend any further consideration to these folks. The electricians may be good. I will never know. You only get to waste my time once.

They do a great job! everyone was so nice and easy to work with! If anything needs done at Terrell Camping Center they will be the ones do it for us! Thank you for a job well done.

Lake Norman Electric gave the worst service of any provider I have used and I am a builder and licensed contractor. I ordered an underground service.  Told them to follow my directions for  trenching to avoid sprinkler pipes.  As I explained to their representative they needed to meet with me to mark the locstion of the underground.  That was an oral part of our contract.They refused to consult and cut through multiple pipes and electrical feeds.  They also cut phone line and we have no  phone service.  No internet service.  My professional advice as a builder is to avoid them at all costs.

Update.  Lake Norman Electric also cut the AT&T telephone and internet line.  So no service if we had an emergency.  I had to order emergency repair service from AT&T on  Sunday at my expense.  Azt&T had to install a new line and inside house equipment to match.  There $2,500 fee, given their performance, was not justified, in my opinion.

I'm giving Lake Norman Electric 2 stars mainly because of their appraiser, Rob. I initially called the company to install an outlet over my fireplace so we could hang a TV there. They arrived the same week, were polite and did a great job. The two electricians that were in our home were very nice, professional, and answered all of my questions. While they were here, I mentioned that I would like to have lighting in my backyard. I'm planning a very large party in a few months and need to have some lighting set up. They informed me to get in touch with Rob, and he would come out and provide an estimate. I went back and forth with the office for two weeks waiting for Rob to get back to me. All the office could tell me was that Rob made his own schedule and they would pass on my message.  Finally, he did call on a Friday, and stated he would send me a text message on Monday to let me know exactly when he could stop by. Two weeks later and I am still waiting on that text.
If you need something simple done, like the outlet, their electricians were great. It was a bit expensive (Around $250 for a simple wall outlet), but it was very convenient to pay the bill online and the office staff uses text messaging which made communication very easy.  If you need a quote for something, I would suggest moving on to another company. You'll never hear from Rob.

Called to get a quote for replacing GFI outlets in a basement of a home listed for sale and was told they do not give quotes to Realtors or Sellers of homes because it is a waste of time and they never get the business.

Apparently referral business is not something that they are interested in...

LKN Electric put an outlet in above my fireplace for my wall mounted tv. They did an awesome job! They were right on time, worked quickly, and installed the new outlet with minimal dry wall damage. The pricing was very reasonable and I will use them again for sure.

Excellent work, prompt, thoughtful and responsive.    Highly recommended!    Have used them many times.

I called because we had some weak circuit breakers that needed replaced.  First, it took two weeks for an appointment.  The electrician came out and determined 3 breakers needed replaced.  The only problem was that he only had 1.  The options were to either have them come back another time and pay the $135 service call fee again, or I could wait for the techs to go buy some breakers.  They didn't tell me I would be paying for their shopping trip.  They arrived at my house at 8:38 AM (they did not call ahead like I was told they would).  The finally left at 11:09 AM.  That's 2 hours and 31 minutes (151 minutes) .  It took them 54 minutes to go buy the breakers.  That means they were physically here for 97 minutes, or 1 hour and 37 minutes.  If they had had the breakers on the truck, they'd of been done in that 1 hour and 37 minutes, and I'd of been billed for  45 minutes (.75 hours) over the 1 hour service call, approximately another $73.50.  But, according to their company, since they were out buying my breakers, I have to pay for that time too, and they billed me an additional 1.75 hours (an hour and 45 minutes) over the initial 1 hour service call.
If they can't stock all the different brands of breakers on the trucks (they did have 1), then why didn't they ask me two weeks ago when I called what brand/type I had, so they could stock them on the truck for my appointment?  In my opinion, I paid for an extra hour, $98, that I shouldn't have had to.
The techs were nice and knowledgeable.  But, I won't do business again with a company I feel ripped me off because of their own incompetence.

Poor communication.  Called to schedule quote/install.  Was told installer would call me.  Never received return call.  Called again to notify them that I never received a call.  Again...no return call.

I couldn't have had a better experience than I did with this company. They did extensive work on a new dock. They encountered almost every roadblock imaginable and powered through them without hesitation. They are very busy and I know why -- they are that good!

LKN Electric has done so much work this past 6 months inside our home we bought in the Mooresville area.   The work included replacing light fixtures, new dock lighting, whole house power surge protector, and much more. The staff at the office is always very friendly over the phone and the electricians do good work along with being polite and accommodating.   Would refer LKN Electric to anyone.

We just had our new pier lighting done by this company.  It was a tough job but they got it done in the agreed time and it looks and works amazing.  From the estimate to completing the job was 3 weeks. convenient pay online was a plus. Would definitely have them out here again.

Be careful when working with this company. Make sure you get their price in writing. The pricing is outrageous! I needed a hot tub hooked up (already had a panel to add to it.) The wire went 60' to tub and pricing was $1546.  Told me when I called it would be 4 to 6 hours and actually took 9.

I used Lake Norman Electric this past month.  The service person explained the problem in easy to understand words.  He did everything as promised without my calling the owner.  I can't tell you how easy it was to work with Lake Norman Electric.  Will use them from now on.

I hired Lake Norman Electric to hang some new lights in our garage in our family summer home.  They were on time, did an amazing job and the price was affordable for the work we had done. We will definitely have them back out before summer to work on a few other projects and refer them to my friends and family. Thank you guys!

We just had Lake Norman Electric install some lighting in our house in various locations and were very pleased with the services we received. The folks who answered our call for electrical services were very informative and professional. The electricians arrived on time and executed the work efficiently considering the high level of difficulty of the work being requested. In addition, when questions arose during installation, they reached out and asked questions to us before making any assumptions which was very much appreciated. In the event any future electrical work is required around the house, we'll definitely be giving them a call.

Rob told us repeatedly over a 3 month period that he was coming out to make repairs on his installation and he never showed. Had to finally get someone else. Would not recommend this company!
