ABOUT BUSINESS OWNER
A native of Mecklenburg County, Matthew Gibson has been active in the electrical industry since 1997. Matthew's family has extensive experience as electricians, carpenters and land developers. This has afforded him a unique view of all aspects of the construction industry. As owner of Gibson Electrical & Lighting, Matthew has wired and remodeled some of the most exclusive homes in Charlotte and the Lake Norman area. He has over ten years of business ownership and management experience.
Matthew holds a Limited Electrical Contracting License with the State of North Carolina and is OSHA-10 certified. He has ten years experience as an EMT-D.

I had a transfer switch for a portable generator installed. Couldn't have gone better. They showed up when they said they would, did a bang-up job (installer went above and beyond) on the install. I finally got to try it out with the most recent power outage and everything worked like a charm. I'd definitely use them again and would recommend them without hesitation.
I'd be careful pulling out in front of a car for no reason whatsoever in your big bad boy disgusting diesel with your business name all over it. Says what kind of disrespectful man owns it.

And walk through everything needed.

Nothing
Called and talked to office and was told I would have estimate by end of day

I was referred to these guys by a friend who had had a good experience with them on a bathroom renovation. So-I called them this week and they squeezed me in on Friday. They were right on time & very professional. They had sent me a invoice via email based on our original phone conversation. So-when the job was complete I paid them and then a few mins later there was a knock on door and guy came back and said you paid us to much. Ended up not doing the same a they had quote and was a less monies. I thought WOW that's not something you see everyday, an honest person and company. I highly recommend them!!! VERY IMPRESSED!!!
I've used Gibson's Electrical a few times recently, originally at the recommendation of my real estate agent. They did a fantastic job with a laundry list of updates to the home I'm selling, including troubleshooting some nonsensical light switches, fixture installation, and a variety of other fixes. I also received above-and-beyond after-hours assistance when I had a mysterious, high-pitched noise coming from inside my house. The property management company was of no help, but Gibson's helped me try to solve the problem by phone and then showed up really quickly when that didn't work to make sure the issue was resolved so I could sleep in the house that night. Highly highly recommend!

Gibson's Electrical & Lighting is the only company I'll use for all of my electric needs. They have been to my home twice for different issues. In both instances they were extremely professional. The second time they came to my home I feel like they went above and beyond. The owner, Matt, came himself and not only fixed some major issues in our garage, but helped to shift things around and move storage boxes to access the proper outlets. What I thought was 1 issue, turned out to be 2 and he fixed everything. I cannot say enough good things about this company!
Since moving to Troutman 3 months ago, we have had several opportunities to have Gibson's out to the house and we cannot say enough good things about them. They do excellent work, are true to their word about sending estimates and showing up for appointments and are the nicest guys! It's always challenging to find good, dependable firms to work with when you don't have any recommendations to go on; but I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Gibson's to anyone!
