Established in 1974.
Since its inception in 1974, Musso Plumbing & Heating Inc. has operated under the guiding principle that the customer always comes first. When the company first started, Mr. Musso had only one truck and a small office on Elmwood Avenue in Kenmore. At the time he opened the company, he was the youngest Master Plumber in New York. Prior to advancements in technology, he was repiping homes and digging sewers by hand. Soon, more services were added, and the company transformed from a small business into a full-service plumbing, heating, and cooling company. We also offer a number of warranties: while all of our services are backed by a 1-year warranty, we have an extended 3-year warranty for sump pumps and a 20-year warranty on anything we repair or replace for sewer lines. ABOUT BUSINESS OWNER

Sal was the youngest Master Plumber in New York when he passed his test in 1970. He graduated from McKinley High School with a focus in plumbing. Since receiving his first Master Plumber license, he has gone on to add over 20 licenses and can provide plumbing and heating services to over 20 jurisdictions in Western New York. In 2005, Sal took the state of Florida's Master Plumbing License. This involves over 8 hours of straight testing covering over 25 books of information. He passed the Master Plumber's test and went on to pass the HVAC license also.
Sal can often be found on the job site guiding the journeyman plumbers and helpers to do the best job for your home or business.

do not hire musso plumbing unless you like 2 be taken advantage of & over charged ! the technician called his boss, & got & estimate over the phone hahhhaaa , never heard of this $3400 ! reluctant & needing 2 get the plumbing fixed , I agreed ! they came out the next day ! they dug up the lawn & put a camera through the pipe , showed me a still , blurry, camera view & told the whole pipe is shot ! they said it needed 2 be replaced but would cost & additional $5600 on top of the already $3400 ! I felt like I was backed in a corner with my lawn torn up , & supposed 2 be professionals telling me it has 2 be replaced ! they tear the rest of the yard accept for 5-6 ft in the middle ! something seems offf , I signed a contract 2 get the whole pipe from foundation to the sidewalk replaced ? they finish the job & the head technician tells me that 5 -6ft of pipe was still in good shape so they didnt replace it ! So I contact management to tell them that I wasn't happy about the situation & felt like I was taken advantage of ! I thought I should atleast get a savings for not having 2 ecscavate the 5-6 feet , pull the pipe , fill with stone ! after a week of back & 4th with the manager , they finally get a different story 2gether & say that they put the new 4 inch pipe through the old 6 inch pipe & just think of it as insulation ! dont be taken advantage of like me & go with a different company !

I had a bird stuck in my furnace. The gentleman that came was freaked out by the bird I then offered to dispose of it myself. The repairmen where there a total of 20 minutes and my bill was$ 229.00. I found the man who called me back very defensive and rude. I will never deal with them again!

Called them several times over the evening when my tankless hot water heater (they installed a while ago) wasn't working. No call back despite claim of 24 hour service. Called again during business hours, no call back. Requested an appointment online. Got email confirmation request was received. Still no call back. Over 24 hours later, STILL no contact.
Incidentally, I called another plumber at 8:05 in morning. They asked for text picture of model number of until and we're ready to send a plumber within 20 minutes

We recently bought a home, and of course immediately had plumbing problems. We had Musso come out, and they charged us over $2,800 to fix a drain in the basement. In the process, they had to disconnect and move our hot water tank. When the job was done, they reconnected the tank and left. Well, now we have no hot water! Call them back-up they want $1600. to put in a new tank. We told them the tank was only 2 years old and there should be nothing wrong with it, and the tech's response was, It's way more than 2 years old, it's all rusted out. We went to Lowe's, bought a tank for $394. and replaced it ourselves. What do you know, there's not a spot of dust anywhere on the old tank, it really is only 2 years old, and it shouldn't have just stopped working. I think the tech broke the tank and then denied it to make more money on us. I will never call them again!

Beware! Terrible company! They took $1200 from me to insulate pipes under my house and only did one pipe. They never thought I would find out. Now I have to go to small claims court!

I would give zero stars if I could. This company is a giant RIPOFF. I used them about a year ago to snake my sewer and it cost me about $140, which I thought was reasonable. Because the price was fair last time, I decided to call them again to have the sewer snaked again this year. The woman I spoke to on the phone told me that there would be a $60 charge if the technician came out and I didn't purchase any services. I figured that was fine because I planned on having the drain snaked. Well the technician came out and told me it would be $440 to have the drain snaked!! Are you kidding? Of course I wasn't going to pay that amount so I turned down the service and was left with a $60 bill. I will never call this company again. I wish I had checked the reviews on here before I called. No wonder they have so many poor reviews! I own multiple rental units and would have been a long time repeat customer, but now I will take my business elsewhere. Apparently they'd rather have $60 instead of a repeat customer. Poor business choice if you ask me.

I saw the owners respond to another customers review saying We do not give estimates over the phone. We send our expert plumbers and/or technicians to do an onsite evaluation at your location before pricing is given out. This gives you the most complete solutions and pricing. This is a bunch of BS they could easily give prices over the phone, the technician that came out to my place showed me their rates on a piece of paper. They dont give prices over the phone because they want to send a technician out so they can charge you $60 if you dont purchase any services.

It's almost comical to see all of the 1 star reviews on yelp, google, and facebook. This company won't be around much longer at this rate. Do yourself a favor, read their reviews and avoid this company at all cost.

I left my senior father to meet the repairman to diagnose and then repair a broken thermostat wire. Moved thermostat to a location that is an eyesore for $421! I called to get an estimate on moving it to an more visually pleasing location. They wanted an additional $80 just to give me an estimate and were very rude on the phone! They just care about making a quick buck, not customer satisfaction.

I hired Musso a little over a year ago to snake my kitchen line. They found a blockage leading the septic tank and said they needed to replace the one and a half inch line from the house to the Celtic tank with another 1 1/2 line. They added 2 angles, one of which is a black flex angle fitting. When I had the Plummer's out yesterday they evaluated the issue and confirmed that the new line Musso added was NOT to code. A 3 line is required for outdoor plumbing. Musso charged me $2,000 for a job poorly done. I also had to fix my garden and replacing numerous plants, another huge expense. Because of their shoddy work, I'm having to pay for it all over again. Musso sent someone to my home on Wed who quoted me $375 to snake the line, I said no way, found another Plummer who did it for $75 and he found the poor workmanship from Musso to be the culprit. I do not recommend Musso for plumbing of any kind.

After providing an estimate they came out to replace my tub. I asked them not to replace the tub if the tiling isn't replaced as well. The technician said he'd have someone reach out to me. He left with the tub halfway installed, a hole still in my wall.

After multiple calls to the person that was suppose to reach out to me, I called Musso plumbing back. They told me since is wasn't stated in my contract I was on my own.

I lost tenants that were renewing their lease because they were unable to shower for weeks.

They charged my card the full amount even though the job wasn't complete. I still have parts of the bath kit on my floor.

It's almost impossible to get another company to come out and finish the job that Musso plumbing started.

I would highly recommend you DO NOT choose Musso Plumbing. I will be contacting the BBB.

Update: I contacted the BBB and Musso Plumbing responded back saying I signed a customer satisfaction form which is a complete lie. They lack business ethics.

They even left a nice note on the box because they were suppose to come back and finish up

We had an issue with a clogged drain. They never inspected the interior pipes, but told us our sewer trap was broken. They charged us thousands of dollars to replace it. When they brought out the trap it was only cracked. I watched the one worker smash it with a hammer. Then they called us over to show us how bad it is. We felt deceived and ripped off. Will never use Musso plumbing again. Work was done a few years ago, but wanted to warn others.

Musso had been my go to company for boiler problems until today. I had a problem with my boiler yesterday and they charged me $350 to replace $30 part. That I can take. The trouble is that after they left I realized I had no heat in half of my house. I called them and they said the tech would call me. When I didn't receive a call I called again. Tech is tied up and may not be able to call until tomorrow. Froze my butt off all night and expected a call this morning. No call. Called again and was told they would have the tech call me again and that it would cost me another visit charge plus a $20 premium since it's now the weekend. UNACCEPTABLE! I told them to forget it and went back to try to bleed the boiler myself again and found that THE TECH LEFT A VALVE CLOSED BEFORE HE LEFT! That's why I had no heat. Stay away. Plenty more options out there.

Musso Plumbing is a very well oiled machine. They know what they
are doing and have very experienced people behind the scenes.

I am surprised at some of these bad reviews yes it does cost money
for plumbers and you should expect it.

We had a water main break and needed an emergency plumbing service. It was nice that they were available to come out right away...and the job lasted about a half. The plumber was nice enough and did a decent job, but after handing me a bill for over $630.00 for the installation of two stop valves for a lav sink, I had no choice but to pay it.
A contractor that our home owners insurance referred to us looked over the bill to see what work had already been done, and said that I was charged nearly 3 times what the actual price should have been. I can't believe that this business would take advantage of their customers like that. I guess Musso charges on a flat rate system, but maybe they should reconsider this business tactic seeing as their customers are getting robbed.

On Jan, 2018, There was a water leaking. I called Musso. They came and they cut off a short pipe then they installed an 1/2 inch hose bib. They charged me $442.61 including taxes. On June, 2018, the water was leaking again around the hose bib where they put the hose bib on Jan, 2018. I could not see exactly where. I called Musso again, because I have one year warranty. They sent a tech coming to check it up. The tech said that it was not what he did on Jan, 2018, but he pointed at the leaking showing me where the leaking came from. It was about less than 1/2 of toothpick around the hose bib where he put the hose bib before. He would charged me $333, if I wanted to fix. I did not want to fix because It seemed expensive. Then they charged me $90.26 including taxes for what they called, diagnostic charge. I mean if I already knew the leaking location, and it was not what he did on Jan, 2018, I would not call Musso. I feel like if $90.26 makes their company going further, so take it. I will not recommend Musso to anyone. My advice is thinking carefully before you call Musso.

I would never recommend this local company to anyone. I had a leak from my kitchen sink and could clearly see where it was coming from. I called and they came they charged me $59.00 for the service fee and then was going to charge me $83.00 for each connector he said I needed 2. There would be more charges had that not fix the problem up to $333.00. I declined on the service they then wanted me to pay an additional $83.00 for a diagnostic charge. All that the man did was look under my sink with a flashlight and I pointed to the problem areas. Are you kidding me? I can't stand companies that overcharge and rip people off. I wish I would have looked here first and saw the negative reviews I would have called someone else. So much for giving local people the business, they definitely gave me the business.
