Ordered a replacement burner assembly for a Weber  Performer. Arrived on time and in excellent condition. Installation was a breeze with fantastic instructions. Future repeat customer.

When I first purchased a house in Williamsville I noted that the front yard faucet was leaking. Knowing very little about local plumbers I contacted Ed Young Plumbing. let me digress briefly and advise Yelp users to ensure they read actual reviews of customers, not relatives of the owner, property management company employees, or even real estate agents. I have my leaking exterior faucet replaced by Ed Young. I never complain about the cost; instead, I look at quality and reliability. In time one also learns about appropriate repairs and  comparison with others offering the same service. The replacement exterior faucet by Ed Young's Plumbing Service was about 4 years ago, and 3 exterior hoses ago.. I found later that Ed Young's Plumbing Service installed an interior faucet with cheap parts. At first, I thought that the outdoor hose I purchased was leaky and defective, but 3 hoses? Then I had an exterior faucet installed for my backyard. This plumber installed an exterior faucet. It works well with the same hose. My suggestion is to use Yelp as an excellent guide if the review, but also look at Groupon and Angie's List for service discounts. Now that Angie's List offers free membership become a paid member and receive the Angie's List warranty. Avoid Ed Young's Plumbing Service but not to be contrarian it is also a local hardware store that is highly recommended.

The hose in my kitchen sink ruptured and started spraying water.  After watching countless YouTube videos I discovered how to remove the hose by disconnecting it from what's called a Collet Connector.  Apparently said connector is a rarity and a royal PITA in the plumbing community.
So I went to Home Depot thinking its a guarantee they'll have a replacement hose with the necessary connection.  After waiting 15 minutes for the plumping associate to help me, he said I've never heard of that connection and don't have it available.  But the best tip he gave me was to call Ed Young's up in Williamsville.  I thought to myself there's no chance in hell this mom and pop store is going to have any idea what I'm looking for let alone carry an item that Home Depot and Lowe's do not have.
I gave them a call.  They knew exactly what I was looking for and confirmed it was in stock.  When I arrived for pickup I noticed the employee to customer ratio was 1:1.  Everyone was helpful and welcoming.
When I arrived at the plumping department they had my hose ready to go.  I was still hesitant the hose was not a match but the associate compared it to my defective unit thoroughly.
When I went to the checkout I thought this place is too good to be true.  Lets throw a curve ball.  Do you have any dog leashes and poop bags?.  Thinking this would be a let down the girl behind the counter said, Oh yes, aisle seven.  I was dumfounded again.
The only crappy thing about this place is everything is about double the price of Amazon.  But its 100% well worth it.  You get your items instantly and you're supporting small business which is rare in today's world.

Not having any experience with a Plumber in WNY, I went with Ed Young's  Plumbing because I go to the store all the time and get great service.   My service was non urgent but I was able to get an appointment the very next day.  Friendly professional non stinky plumbers arrived.  Quickly assessed my problem.  Went to work on the issue, cleaned up and were on their way.  Fair price and great communication.  This is a post that is better without a picture.  I will definitely use them again for any plumbing issues.

Had a great experience today when I visited for my first time. I wasn't sure where items were and shortly after I walked in, I had a gentleman ask if I needed help finding something. He was very friendly, showed me the options and explained how the product worked as well as tips for using it for the first time. I also mentioned I bought the same item somewhere else but I was concerned about the brand and he Informed me the brand was fine and was helpful even knowing I wasn't going to buy the item. I will definitely be back

Excellent customer service!  I recently purchased a grill replacement item from Young's via the internet - it wasn't exactly right.  I reached out to them about options and they immediately responded with support.   Very impressed - keep up the great job.

Recently our hot water tank had sprung a leak. I called Ed Youngs and was amazed at how friendly and professional they were. Their technician John came right out and installed a new hot water tank. John did a great job and was very polite and cleaned up the area before he left.
I highly recommend Ed Youngs for all your hardware needs.

Although I've experienced reasonable service in the past, my last experience with Ed Young's plumbing was terrible. The plumber sent over didn't seem to know what he was doing. We had a poor flow of cold water coming into the bath tub that we wanted corrected. He fiddled around a bit with the pipes, then told us he he was sorry but no cold water at all was coming through. He charged closed to $200 for the visit and left.

I called another plumbing service who corrected the problem in a short time.

I was frustrated at the pool of water on both sides of the house. Gutters were clean and sump pump was working so it was time to call a plumber. I was happy with my initial discussion of the problem and the estimate for service that I received. I was more than pleased with the professionalism of the two plumbers who arrived to solve the problem. Jeff and Scott knew exactly what was causing the problem. The underground pipes that carry water away from the house were clogged with mud, roots and leaves. Because the distance from the house to where the pipe would discharge water was a good distance from the house I envisioned a costly repair bill requiring excavation to reach the clogged pipes. They had all the tools required including an electrical router which required time to cut through all the debris logged in the pipe. Their customer friendly manner, their professionalism and keeping the cost to the original estimate are a credit
to Ed Ed Young's Plumbing and a bar for other plumbing services to match.

About two months ago we had Ed Young Plumbing come into our newly purchased home to do some repairs.  We have gone to their store in Williamsville and found them reliable, so contracted them for repairs for our basement bathroom.  The work done was satisfactory,  but  when my husband asked for some advice for a leaky washtub faucet, the guy who   had just finished the bathroom plumbing repair said he would replace the leaky faucet's washer while he was still there. Sticker shock  happened when he presented my husband the bill , the extra charge was $65  for a 65 cent part and two minutes of work.  That was $65 over the price of the work already done.  My husband refuses to contact the company and complain about what that guy did and charged.  My question is, why charge a second service call when he was already there.  We have decided not to use Ed Young Plumbing in the future  because of their over pricing/charging.

I had been sick COVID-19, and did not want to share. I placed an order online. They called me back within half an hour telling me my order was ready. I called the store when I got there, and they brought my order out to my trunk. Zero contact. Perfect order. They always know their stuff, and today was no exception.

Haven't felt this ripped off in a while.  We had a slight drip in our shower and called Ed Youngs.  Despite knowing in advance exactly what the issue was, the technician stated after he arrived that he only carried a few replacement shower valve cartridges in his truck at a time and would have to get a different one.  After the 10 minute job was completed we were charged  $470 (the part cost was approximately $75).

My kids flushed something down the toilet....broke it. Then the other toilet broke too. I went to Ed Youngs and they saw me looking somewhat confused in the plumbing aisle. They helped right away, went through my options and even spent the time to teach me how to properly snake a toilet. This kind of service you just don't get in the big box stores. I learn something new every time I go to Ed Youngs. Their onsite plumbing services are incredible as well. I strayed once to another company and that was a complete nightmare. Ed Youngs should be your first and usually last place to got when you have hardware and/or plumbing needs.

This is a hardware store to go to if you are clueless to fixer uppers. The staff go out of their way to help you repair your money pit. I love this store. We stopped going to the  big hardware stores like Home Depot or Lowe's. The people that work in the big stores are just as clueless as I am to repairing things. Thank you Ed Young's plumbing store. Never been disappointed.

Local store that provides a warm experience. Smaller selection but will always help you find what you need if they have it.

I was asked if I wanted help within minutes of entering the store. They worked over 15 minutes to help me find everything I needed. One of the employees even helped me load my purchases into my car.

Only downside is that they don't offer any military discounts which is unfortunate. Especially when other competitors such as Home Depot and Lowes do.

They are not the least expensive. They are not the place to go if you need a common part that you could get anywhere. They are absolutely the place to go when you need to get something specific that no one else has, a fitting or screw or plumbing fixture that you can't find anywhere else. They are the place to go when you need to talk to someone who is knowledgeable. You are paying for their expertise and their quality and their huge inventory. They are pricey but very well worth it when you need an elusive part. I do love this place.

Plumbing issues, especially backed up toilets, are no fun.  Called Ed Young's plumbing service and they came out a week later to check the sewer lines in my new house. I managed to snake and plunge out the clog, so the plumber came out in a scheduled non-emergency visit. Service call was $55 and with installation of new bidet washers in two toilets the bill was about $145 total. Plumber wore a mask and took his shoes off outside the house, which was thoughtful in these scary times. No pictures of backed up toilets. I'll spare you the visuals.

Between the lack of friendliness at the check out  (to the point of rudeness)  and the two supposedly grown men stocking shelves, whose only vocabulary seemed to include profanity, I'm not sure I ever want to go back.  There are many more choices of stores at which I can spend my money.

Just wanted to thank Andrew for a job well done for a repair on my outdoor water faucet valve. He supplied the correct parts, and reset the valve washer and seat which took some ingenuity! Installed and running great!
Thanks again!

My son broke the window and I have questions on how to replace only the glass. We went to Hector's on Transit first because it's closer. They closed at 6, and it was 5:50. I understand they want to leave on time, and I only have a couple questions. Since I have a video on what my window looks like, I figured it will be easier to show it to him. The guy refused to look at it. Can't wait to get us out. So we went to Ed Young. Omg! They are so nice and friendly! Got the answers I needed. Even though it's an extra 15 minutes ride. I'll definitely go back.

It is difficult to write a review when I was intending to go for lunch and the hardware store to get everything in one stop.  Evidently, the restaurant and the hardware store are still at war over the parking lot.  As soon as I mentioned I was going to go to the restaurant I was asked to leave.  So, I did leave.  The parking issue has always been painful.  Now, it is not.  I do not believe I will be back.

Rant and the other guys in Plumbing were AMAZING. I was in a bind and they knew exactly how to help me. Rant spent extra effort to make sure I was leaving there with everything I needed. Never have I done a plumbing project with only ONE trip to the store.

Very happy with the entire plumbing experience. From the initial call to set up a visit, which was returned promptly, to the convenience of scheduling an appointment (for a non-emergency) it was all good. The service was done well, efficiently and with utmost courtesy. The price was reasonable and I'm wondering why this was the first time I'd called Ed Young's Plumbing! We will definitely consider this outfit our new go-to plumber. Five big stars

Shortly after I blurt the words, Ahhhhh, crap!! The [WHATEVER] just broke!!, I always subsequently, A) Consult with my dad on what I need for him to fix said-[WHATEVER], and then B) Head over to Ed Young's to find said-thing. This hardware store is usually reliable in having whatever basic parts or equipment we need. Parking in the lot is typically plentiful, but can be busy when events are happening in the village. Otherwise, it is easy-in-and-out at the light at this plaza.

When I walk in, I immediately look confused and on the verge of panic. But within a few seconds, a friendly store attendant swoops in to lead me to my needed item. If I were more DIY-inclined in general, the store is well organized where any handy-person could find items themselves, if they have any idea what the thing they're looking for actually looks like. But I'm just the go-get-it-person in this enterprise, my dad is always Mr. Fix-It. So the super-helpful staff here is greatly appreciated!!

One day when stopping in for whatever needed said-item, the front-left corner of the store caught my eye. I thought, Huh, that's not tools, how odd., and wandered over. As it turns out, there is an entire gift shop area in the front of the store, with all sorts of giftable goodies. There are candles, greeting cards and notecards, soaps, home décor, Buffalo-themed items, games and toys, socks and slippers, some apparel, and an assortment of other kinds of unique gifts. If you are looking for something more in particular, there is a desk in the gift area with an attendant, ready to help. Never in my life have I moseyed the aisles of a hardware store and actually enjoyed myself, but Ed Young's definitely bucks that trend for me! Now I actually come here specifically for gifts, if I need to grab a little something nice and affordable for someone.

If you need any sort of basic hardware store part or equipment, Ed Young's probably has it at a reasonable local store price, with friendly service to help you find it. Or if you are shopping for a gift, Ed Young's actually has that too. If you're strolling the Williamsville village boutiques, I kid you not, this hardware store is worth the browse for gifts, too!!

I've used both the service and the store.

The plumbers from Ed Young's are courteous and helpful. You call for help, they show up as promised.  Best of all, whenever I go to the store, there's always someone around to help me with an item, give me advice.  They also have a re-screening service to fix old window screens (less than a week turnaround). Even the cashiers are friendly. This is the big difference between customer care and the big box (try and find staff) stores.

My only gripe is that their parking lot entry/exit is a bit of a mess. It's shared with an odd shaped plaza, and it gets full pretty quickly. But once you're parked, going to Ed Young's is like visiting a family friend.

Ed Young's is the hardware store I go to when I want a quick, hassle-free shopping experience. The store has an excellent selection of merchandise (I always find what I'm looking for), attentive and helpful staff, and a convenient location. Ed Young's prices might be slightly higher than their big box competitors', but the time I save per visit compensates for any price differential.

The reason for the four-star review is because of a negative experience with their plumbing service--the guy they sent didn't know what he was doing and the repair job ended up creating more problems than it solved.

What a great store... especially through the thick and the thin! I placed an online in-store pick up order and it was ready within 2 hours. When I went to pick it up, it was easy as pie. I gave my name and my order was sitting right at the front.
In these tough times, I find it important to support the little guys. There's no need to fight the big crowds at Home Depot or Lowe's when you can order online through True Value. The site is a little outdated/wonky, but you should be able to find the things you need. Ed Young's has everything... plus some! I encourage you to check them out and support them!

I've been going here for the last few years while working for my employer, as it's the place where we normally get keys made for our tenants in the building. Ed Young's is like that little hardware store you see in the movies, it has a small town feel, yet they probably have everything you are looking for. I had to get 20 copies of a key made this past week, and even with the pandemic regulations, they were still patient with my large order and precisely made each key correctly. If I lived in the village, I would definitely give Ed Young's my business!

A Williamsville staple! They have so much under 1 roof. I've known members of the Young family for many years and they are very good people. There is always a very nice selection of seasonal and gift items, and the folks that work there are very friendly.

Truly the neighborhood hardware store in an era when the big boxy places that don't care about community continue to somehow attract customers.

All you have to do is pay attention to the number of employees who are ready to help you when you walk in.  Notice the smiles and listen as staff members greet various customers by their first names.

They have the name brands you want to find in hardware stores at prices that won't drill a hole in your bank account.

They understand that some people (like me) are clueless when it comes to plumbing or electrical issues and they will patiently provide the solutions.

They offer in home plumbing work that is available on a timely basis and they remember their customers!

They have been in business since I was a little boy and that was a long time ago. It's clear that they're doing something right in the Village of Williamsville. That should give you all the incentive you need to get your hardware needs taken care of here.

They're pricey, but it's worth it! I love the chains like lowes and Home Depot, but when you are a new homeowner looking for advice, how to do something as a clueless first timer, it's wonderful to find someone willing to help, you can't get that anywhere else around here!

Purchased some replaced grill parts for my Weber...they responded quickly to my inquiries and shipped out the items fast. They stock parts other locals stores do not have (or worse, say you cannot get!)
