I have been working as a Plumber since I was 16 years old with my father in his plumbing business. I like working with my hands. Outstanding Service! Igor & team are great to work with! They were great with timing, cost and cleaning up after they completed the outdoor hose fixture for us. I really appreciated their flexibility to help fix our issue as soon as they could. I will absolutely leverage them again in the future.
They were quick to get the job done. The quality of the work was definitely above average and the cost was reasonable compared to other companies who tried to fleece me. They were polite and cleaned up after the job. I have used them in the past and will continue to call them in the future. I have no negative comments to date.
My central AC went on strike and my go-to guys at Princeton Air decided they wanted to play hard to get with an appointment two weeks out so I looked for a local alternative that had a strong Yelp score. Five Star popped up and their techs were here in less than an hour, diagnosed the issue and had me going within the day.
Their tech Aziz was terrific and left the space even cleaner than he found it. I'm only withholding the fifth star because of an annoying lack of transparency. I was never told that Aziz (proprietor of Magic Hands HVAC out of Monmouth Junction) was an independent contractor until the job was done.
He does great work but the cost of the job was pushing my threshold for pain. If I knew I had to bankroll two entities, I might have kept looking. However, the job was done professionally and with great care. The good news is that I believe that I got what I paid for. I hope so.

Oh my God...thank you Igor and Five Star Plumbing! I am helping my sister with a slew of repairs that she needed in her condo and have been coordinating from another state, a hard enough feat when you're dealing with contractors who either ghost you, overcharge you, or completely fail to communicate. Some of them have been all of the above! Enter Igor and Five Star Plumbing to save the day. Igor was a great communicator and showed up when he said he would, both for the estimate and for the work (a fact I appreciated as I was asking friends to be there on work days to meet him for me). He took the time to advise me on what faucets to purchase and what would and wouldn't work with her setup. He made suggestions but was not the least bit pushy about them. His cost was reasonable, he was kind enough to pick up the things I ordered for a charge, and he texted me updates as well as photos when he was done. I can't say enough good things or convey my appreciation sufficiently after what I've been through with other contractors. Five Stars gets six stars in my book...the sixth for being a dream come true. Thank you!!!
I contacted Five Star for a faucet replacement, and was quickly contacted. They set up an appt for me and contacted me with an arrival time - and arrived right on time. They diagnosed the problem, completed the repair and charged me exactly what they had specified, no hidden charges!!! Igor and his assistant were cordial, polite and very professional, and I would gladly welcome them back to help me with my plumbing needs! Thank you!

Five Star Plumbing & Heating are truly 5-star professionals! They are customer-focused, effective and efficient. Our hot water heater was not working, so we called four local plumbers. Bart, the owner (and master plumber), was very responsive. He came out the next morning, and fixed the problem. (FYI, we never heard back from the other four companies).
As senior citizens, it was a pleasure to work with a business that is honest, communicates clearly, does excellent work, and is respectful in every way. Bart has reclaimed the lost art of doing business the old-fashioned way. We will now be customers for life, and we will highly recommend them at every opportunity. Our sincerest thanks to Bart & Five Plumbing!
Sump pump is officially fixed. We also had Five Star replace our old water heater and reroute the sump pump to drain on the other side of the house based on Igor's suggestion. They came same day I called and finished all of the work by the end of the day. May have just been a slow day or we got lucky but excellent service continues and Igor and his crew.
Five star plus- Igor and Sergio arrived promptly at the scheduled time, clad in PPE. They quickly diagnosed the issue in our second floor barthroom shower which caused horrible water stains on our first floor living room ceiling. They replaced the offending leaking pipe from supply on their truck.
Done and dusted!

My heat went out and we're heading into freezing weather this week. Found out my usual plumber no longer services boilers. PSE&G could not come for 3 more days. These guys showed up right away and figured out the problem in no time. Excellent!

Fantastic service. I had been looking for a quality team that could provide service at a reasonable price and they didn't disappoint. They work primarily commercial but if they can fit you for residential, they will.
Great work and outstanding service. Could not recommend with more enthusiasm. In a field where trust and reliability matter so much, these guys delivered big time.
Words cannot describe how Bart is my hero! After weeks of scheduling plumbers to quote the cost of hooking up my new gas grill, I called Five Star Plumbing and Heating. Not only was Bart kind but when I explained that all I wanted was to light up the grill and prepare a burger for my birthday in exactly one week, he was able to meet me at my home within two hours! Not only did his price beat all of the local competitors but he installed my grill the same day!!!! I think I almost threw him over with a hug when he said now you can have your burger for your birthday. In addition, when I thought my day couldn't get any better...he offered to discard the old grill, checked an existing leak, immediately identified the cause and gave me a quote that I'm sure would beat his competitors.
Believe me, I will be using him for all my plumbing needs going forward.

Called Igor and his team to take a look at a leak in my kitchen. He responded quickly and advised I turn off the water to prevent any further damage. He came at the agreed upon time the next day and quickly diagnosed the issue and fixed within 30 mins. After he was done he swept the floor area he was working in and took away all the debris.
I love us my yelp for things I have no idea about such as local plumbers. I highly recommend him and his team for anyone who needs assistance in the Princeton area. I have paid other plumbers who charged $129 and then $75 to just show up. Igor did not and that was greatly appreciated.
Review 1: Aziz fixed my urgent AC problem quickly. He was professional and courteous and cleaned up after he was done. The cost was on par with what other companies charge for emergency service, however I would have to wait three to four days for others to come out to fix the problem. Aziz came to my home after 6 pm the day I called and worked until about 7:30 pm.
Review 2: Bart came to my home last year to fix a broken hose bib on the concrete wall of the walk-out basement. I had put this project off for many years as all of the other companies that came out to provide estimates said the concrete wall would need to be opened and the cost was over $1000! Bart fixed the hose bib WITHOUT opening the concrete and did it for $475! THIS is why I am a repeat Five Star customer. Bart is an honest guy and the folks who work for him are truly nice, professional, hardworking people.
Five Star Plumbing came super fast and provided excellent service. This is at least my third time using Five Star and they keep delivering constant quality service.
Super knowledgeable and very professional. Bart has installed plumbing fixtures as well as repaired them in our house, and we've always had a very positive experience!

Extremely prompt, clean and polite.....a little pricey charged $187.00 to change a shower diverted cartridge that I provided, which took less than 10 minutes however it was a Saturday. And they arrived with two guys.
I certainly would use these guys again, and recommend them if you're in a jam. As nothing is cheap nowadays!
If you are smart, you will not go anywhere near this company (quoted because the word generally implies a business that operates honestly and professionally). I paid them over $1200 less than 1 year ago to perform a couple tasks, most importantly adding freon to the air conditioner. I called them back today to see about having them come out to see what was going on because the air is not producing cold or even cool air. Their response was if it were done for the first time today and 1 month from now I found myself in the same position, they COULD NOT be expected to come back out and perform the same task at no charge.
STAY AWAY... better yet RUN AWAY and TELL ALL YOUR FRIENDS, FAMILY, and NEIGHBORS to do likewise. I would NOT sick these people on my worst enemy.
BTW, the only way I could successfully post this review was to give these yahoos at least 1 star. If it is possible to give 0 star then it was my mistake and consider this review to get 0.
I'd had an issue with my shower since the beginning of quarantine - of course. The diverter on the faucet wasn't engaging so the shower was not working at 100 percent. I was hesitant to call a plumber - one, because of the quarantine and secondly, I didn't know who to call. Saw the positive reviews for Five Star and gave them a try. I'm very happy I did. I called and spoke to Bart, got an estimate, and Igor came out to my home at the scheduled time. He kindly wore a mask and gloves, and upon entering my home, put on booties. He was very polite, very professional, and got to work right away. It didn't take him long to switch out to a new faucet and now everything works great! So glad to know I have somehwere to turn the next time I have a plumbing issue!
I had them come back to install a new exhaust pipe on my hot water heater and, again, they came back with the best price and the work was done quickly and of the highest quality. They take much pride in their work and stand behind everything the do. They are the best in the area.
They provided awesome both plumbing and heating services. They were very professional, courteous, and most importantly they wore masks, gloves shoe covers during this COVID time. It was my first time calling a plumber and I'm glad I called them!

How can you be a Five Star plumbing service when you aren't answering your listed business phone number at 9:45am on a Monday morning and a generic voice message tells you 'this' voice mailbox is full? I called the number three times just to make sure I had dialed correctly. I was very surprised because I selected this company based on the Yelp reviews. Oh well, I will never get to know how good the service is because I can't reach them? Maybe my own experience was anomaly but there is the old adage that you only get one chance to make a first impression. Unfortunately they are only One Star in my book.

Five Star Plumbing was great. They replaced a leaking water heater with a tankless water heater unit. First, they came out free of charge to examine the situation and then gave a reasonable quote. I shopped around and Five Star was the most reasonable. Lastly, they came when they said they would and installation was completed without a problem. I would highly recommend Bart and Igor.
Absolutely awesome team, very responsible and get job done correctly. Also, this guys will come back if you have any problem. Fix all my plumbing issue and get my inspection done. Thumb up. Thanks and I will definitely call them back if I have any problem plus I will recommend this guys to anyone :)

Best service I ever had.. and I had family in the business. Knowledgeable, fast, and courteous; they do good, clean work for a reasonable price!
I had my combination sump pump replaced with them. The fact that they salvaged the old battery backup pump and added a new zoeller to custom build a combination pump, proves that they care for the work they do and provide a complete solution. He also suggested using a water backup sump pump as it does not rely on power. It is expensive but worth it for the peace of mind it buys me. I got it installed a week later.
I had also called rotorooter earlier and the guy was only interested in replacing the electric sump pump, really expensive and did not even know what water backup sump pump was.
In short, recommended company.
One suggestion for improvement is communication. Phone is the only way of initial contact and may need a few attempts before hearing back.
Igor responded to our yelp inquiry immediately and was very very helpful. On the day of the job, he arrived promptly and finished the work as promised. A few months later and everything is still operating as expected. Highly recommend.
Five Star Pluming helped us to convert our electric system to gas in summer . Igor found a very smart way to run the pipes and the job was beautifully done. The price is also very reasonable. He used to tell me that if one day I need to install a gas dryer and have any issues, just call him. And these days we need to extend our pipe in the laundry room. After calling him, he came over and had the job quickly done without additional charge. Igor and his team are very professional and honest. They do a good job and never over charge you. I would strongly recommend them.
This was the second time I used them. I called for a wax-ring replacement at around 11:00 and by 1:10, the job was done. The price was totally fair and I know the job was done well. Bart was really polite and cheerful--a good man to know when you're having plumbing problems. If I could give six stars, I would!
Bart diagnosed and fixed my toilet within like 15 minutes. Very pleased with the fact that he was thorough and clean. Covered his sneakers before entering my house and finished the job without a mess. Great service and for a reasonable price!

I was looking for a small business owner in my area. I went to Yelp and found Five Star Plumbing right away, and less than 2 miles from my house! I called Bart yesterday, he showed up today and was a complete professional. Diagnosed the leak source in my kitchen sink lickety-split. Turns out I need specialized parts that are guaranteed by the manufacturer, so he called the company, emailed them pictures of the broken parts, and they're hooking me up! He also fixed a minor issue with a toilet. I'm a true believer in small business owners and will recommend Bart and his team to all my friends and very large family. Any homeowner in central Jersey would be well advised to call him for speedy and personalized service. The bigger, more well-known companies spend your hard earned money on advertising. Support small business!
Igor and his team were outstanding. We needed some faucets replaced and an pipe repaired on a short timeline since we had a new appliance coming in.
Igor was able to come in, do an estimate and come out to perform the repairs within a week! Very professional, fast service, and solid work.

Just at the start of this Covid-19 crisis, our kitchen faucet began leaking eventually spilling through to under the sink. I was skeptical at first with the social distancing and lockdown we are experiencing, but I couldn't stand to wash my dishes in the bathroom sink anymore! I googled and first found Five Star Plumbing around my area, read the positive reviews and all i can say, is very happy we took that chance. I saw them put their protective gear on (face mask & gloves), which also included shoe booties. They came in, kept our 6ft distance, are professional, and replaced our faucet all less than an hour. My husband and i would have taken at least an hour just to figure out how to take the original faucet out! Very pleased, satisfied and love the work, and my new faucet! Thank you guys for coming out also on such short notice. I called at 8am and they were here by noon the same day.

Business owner messaged and talked to me personally when I left them the review. He came over and gave me recommendations on the next steps (insulating the pipes, etc). They really treat their customers like family. They are an honest group of people who mean it when they say they want their customers happy. It's nice to have a personal touch to their service.
Normally, they do give price quotes to customers before operating. The price varies based on the difficulty level of the job. Just be sure to ask for the price quote before they operate!
Overall: will use this service again if any plumbing issues arise!

Pros:
- Quick response times (from when I reach out to them to when they responded back to my message)

- Thorough (able to identify and fix all leaks in my house)
- Clean (removed all their trash)
- Informative and knowledgeable (could tell where the leaks were coming from)
Cons:
- Not as transparent with pricing... Couldn't give me a price quote on the phone, so I had them visit to check out where the leaks were. Did not give me price quote before working on the leak, but did give me a price quote before working on the other pipe burst
- A bit pricey... Two bursted sections in copper pipes in the cold water line under kitchen sin. They replaced with plastic tubing, which ended up to be less than one hour of actual work (came at 10am, left at 11am) = $481 (incl. tax)
- Messaged on Sunday and earliest time slot was Thursday morning, which meant no water for 3 days
Igor and Bart were amazingly fast to respond to my call, not only did igor response but he took my call at midnight and took the time to explain what might be the issue and how to get it resolved. Lighting fast service they are my go to team for any pumbling related issues
As the name says, got a five star service. My Kitchen Sink drain was clogged, I called them up early in morning around 8:30am and Igor came at around 9:30am.
Igor was professional, courteous, well equipped for the job , timely, a little(not much) pricier than others though.
Work was completed with no damage to surrounding area. He also fixed a small leak on my toilet's water hose. This is my go to company going forward for any (large or small) plumbing related work.
Five Star Plumbing is now my go to plumbers. I moved into the new house and immediately facing some emergency issues: my water heater just went bust and water everywhere in the basement. Bart & his helper come quickly and did an awesome job replacing the water heater. I like how skilled they are, also they treat your home like their home, so no dirt or scratches at your wall, try everything they could and take their time to fix the issue, and did a great job. Later I have a leak in the bathtub and I Originally called REMM heating because the previous owner used them, then after the REMM heating guy failed to fix my problem and still charge me a lot of money for just little bit of re-puttying. I realized I need to go back to Five Star Plumbing, I ended up canceling the plumber from REMM and called Igor instead. They showed quickly and re-tighetening the drain (where REMM guy did not even have the equipment to tigheten the drain properly, he missed at least another 2 turns). Later I realized that the whole drain needs to go, so I called five star plumbing again. Bart shows up and did a fabulous job replacing everything, now it's been problem free for about a month now.
If you want a plumbing job done right, and someone that is very skilled and treat your house as their house, can't go wrong with Five Star Plumbing. They earned my business, and also they earned my trust at the same time.

Had an issue with the supply line under my sink leaking slightly. Called and turns out it just needs to be replaced. Whole thing took under 30 minutes but cost $225. Service was good, cost was excessive. I wouldn't recommend them unless you enjoy spending extra money for simple services.

Fast and efficient. Understood the situation very quickly and fixed the issue with no problems. I am satisfied with the end result.
Great work by Igor and Bart. Best price around. Expert workmanship. I strongly recommend them. He even looked at some of the other issues in my home and gave estimates.
I needed to replace my faucets, toilets and had a few other plumbing needs. I called Five Star Plumbing and Heating and they were very friendly and very helpful. They were able to schedule me for an appointment on the following day. They completed the job efficiently and did not leave a mess as plumbers typically do. I was very impressed and the pricing was super affordable! I highly recommend Five Star Plumbing and Heating.

I sent two messages through their website and left a voicemail on the phone number listed here, though the line is not identified as Five Star Plumbing. They never contacted me. Had to seek other help for three separate plumbing issues. This did not coincide with all of what was said here on Yelp, which is why I chose this plumber. Did not appear to me that they wanted my business.
I had a leaking 11 year old hot water heater. Bart was quick to respond. I had intended to upgrade to a tankless water heater eventually anyway and the price quote was fair. I was impressed with his work. Bart and his partner had to re-pipe the water lines to the other side of my laundry room to the new location and they did a very neat job!
i appreciate the effort in resolving a heat issue in one day. first tech didn't have the piece needed but was able to get it and have another tech come out a few hours later. two techs came over but the issue was identified and fixed in less than 30 minutes. good price :) would recommend and call again if needed.

I was looking for a new plumber to extend a gas line for an outdoor grill. After reading several reviews online I decided to contact Five Star Plumbing. I used Yelp to request a quote. I got a timely response from Igor and made an appointment for him to come to my home. He assessed what needed to be done and gave a very reasonable estimate. The work was done two days later. We were very happy with their work. I would highly recommend them!
I called and left two messages on the number listed on Yelp. No responses whatsoever. Either the business is out of business or this company is too busy to take new customers.
Excellent work. Properly diagnosed a leak. Professional and courteous. I will definitely call them again if I ever need a plumber.
I hired Five Star to replace my two toilets. The guy who came, Hector, was really terrific. He took his time to install them correctly, and even showed me how to turn off my water if I ever needed to. The pricing was fair and the work was great. Highly recommended!
was recommended to them by a friend who lives in the area. called them for a quote for a water heater on a sunday- no one picked up, so i messaged them on yelp instead. within 2 hours, i got a call from this company who gave me a very reasonable/competitive rate. didnt end up using them since our friend was able to install the heater for us, but i was very impressed with their professionalism and rate of response. will definitely keep them in mind for future plumbing/heating issues!

Five Star gave excellent service. Igor was very knowledgeable, timely and the price was very reasonable.
They replaced our water heater and did a good job. Nice people. Did what they said they would. Gave us a reasonable price that included everything so there weren't any last minute additional costs. They were careful, clean, covered their shoes and our flooring and removed all trash. I would certainly call them again with a plumbing problem.
After having a really bad experience with a corporate plumber I decided to give five star a call and I am very happy that I did. They charged a reasonable amount, were timely when I called, communicated well and were in and out the same day to fix it. I would use them again in a heartbeat!
Impressed by previous reviews, I called Five Star the morning after we discovered our water heater blew. Bart returned my voice message promptly, showed up as promised a couple hours later, evaluated our situation, made his recommendation, then returned a couple hours later to install a replacement - neatly, efficiently, and professionally. Our hopes and expectations were far exceeded by his service and responsiveness. Five Star indeed - that is exactly what they delivered!
Five Stars is a modest name, for what i have discovered is 100 stars service. I've met three of the guys, cheery, neat, and knowledgeable. I found them on Yelp and wanted to come back and add my two cents -- they were half the price of PSE&G for a water heater, and very responsible and nice. Later I needed them for two more things, and I have to say their speed, responsiveness and attention to detail are second to none. You can feel good about calling these guys. The care about their work, your welfare and how they provide their service. :)
After an initial communication issue, we found Five Star to be very responsive, courteous and prompt. Will definitely use again and would absolutely recommend!
