Best Plumbing Services in Virginia
Great Lawn Care Service!!! Very hard working. Definitely will recommend him for lawn care services!! Great response time and great price!
Chesapeake, VA
We needed a plumber asap on a cold Sunday evening here in Norfolk. I called the emergency number and an answering service took my info. Within 10 minutes the technician on call responded. Nice! He was enroute to another service call in VB, but said he would call again when he finished and was on his way to our place. He did! He also informed me that we would be paying overtime (weekend/evening...understandable). Upfront and honest, I appreciate that! Kevin arrived on time and got right to work. He was polite and efficient. Our problem was resolved quickly. We even tagged on a couple, Oh, by the way, this toilet is running, and, this shower doesn't get hot water. Can you help us with that was well? Three issues were resolved in about an hour. I would use Discount Plumbing again in a heartbeat!

I'm a plumbing contractor in Seattle, WA and my sister (who lives in Chesapeake, VA) needed a new toilet. I contacted Wynne Plumbing based on the other Yelp reviews. Via email I communicated with Josh and was able to arrange a new toilet installation. I was told he was very polite, efficient and the price was more than reasonable. He even fixed her leaking kitchen faucet at no extra charge. The new toilet works perfectly and my sister is very happy with the whole experience. I would not hesitate to recommend Josh to anyone that needs a plumber in Chesapeake. Thanks Josh, your work is greatly appreciated!

If you are looking for a plumber look no more! Stokes plumbing is the way to go. I called at 7pm on a Tuesday night and he was able to come right over! He was there in an hour and had my sink fixed in less then ten minutes! He was extremely professional and well educated in his field. If I ever need any other plumbing I will definitely be calling him again!

HH Mechanical came within 2 hours of being called. Within an hour of arriving had my A/C back running good as new! Very courteous, professional company to deal with. I will definitely recommend them to anyone needing HVAC service and will make sure they are my first call from now on!

We are military and, as most know, moving and finding professional and quality help can take time and connections, which is hard when you move from place to place and have to rely on recommendations online...and I can easily recommend this company. I called Cecilia's Home Repairs at 8:30am and by 9am Anthony was at my door to help me with my issue. When I called Cecilia's my call was answered quickly and I was given an accurate quote over the phone for the work I requested. I had spilled some pop and it seeped into the area around my kitchen island and an ant family had found it. I needed my dishwasher pulled out and trim replaced (I ripped it off and I had no clue how to put it back). Anthony skillfully pulled the dishwasher out and worked on cleaning and prepping the trim for reinstallation. On the phone I told the man that I have allergies and cannot tolerate strong odors and he said I could use my own products to kill and repel the ants. Anthony patiently waited for me to spray, vacuum, and lay down a barrier for the ants behind the dishwasher. He helped me by giving me light to the area I was working in. Afterwards he placed the dishwasher back, started it for me and put the trim back to look good as new. I couldn't believe the quality of work that was done in under an hour and for such a good price! I am not someone who can DIY and I will definitely be calling and requesting Anthony to come back out when we inevitably have something else that needs fixing in our house :) Thank you, Anthony and Cecilia's!

Philbrick is our go to when we need to take care of our HVAC system. We had a unit go out over the summer. The team was responsive, highly professional and the job was a fair price. We just had Reggie come out an inspect our heating units for the season. Once again, they were on time, professional and comprehensive. He found a minor issue that he will come back to fix! Thank you to a great team!

When our usual plumber was unavailable after a recent snowstorm, we called Jethro Byrd. At first we were pleased with their initial visit, despite being an hour late. However, when we had follow-up issues and had them return, the 2 technicians were clearly wasting time (they charge by the hour, of course) and after an hour ultimately did what I initially suggested. They are very expensive, even for a plumber, and on the final visit we were charged an hour and a half for what should have taken only 15 min. Not to mention, their follow-up visit was to repair a leak that hadn't been properly fixed on their previous visit. We will not use them again.

This is my first Yelp Review... which I think sort of demonstrates that I felt compelled to write it. I called with a series of items I needed done. I don't think the guy they sent was really picking up what I was putting down so I'm spending my Saturday trying to run a new fridge line under my house in my crawl space.
Recommendations:
1. When a customer asks a question. Answer it. I called and requested service and quotes. The scheduler assured me I would be given quotes in the plumbers notes that I could execute at a later date.
-For all three quotes I asked for I got the response well it would be 150 an hour plus materials. Guy, I understand that, but you're the professional, estimate how many hours it's going to take so I can budget for it. Additionally that's a serious flaw in the business model, I get that if it's free a bunch of people will be wasting your time so you need to charge something but how about a 20 dollar flat estimate fee.
I was essentially charged 50 dollars (20 minutes) for noncommittal answers. Like say hey, there's a broken pipe behind that wall it would take us 2 hours to fix that and the pipe costs about this much, then I could say okay I need 320 to get that done. That is a quote and if you're wrong by 10 dollars oh well.
2. Be on time for your own appointment.
3. Read the notes about why you're at a house. You weren't there to snake the drains, that was a side venture. You were there to run a new line for a fridge, not turn the water on and have the old dirty line spray water on my floor. He told me if he were running it he would use copper. It's like yeah, so run the copper dude, that's why you're here. In the end it was just so laughable that I let the guy go once he turned the water back off.
Sorry if I'm coming across frustrated but I am spending my Saturday coated in insulation in a crawl space trying to figure out a fridge line connection because you didn't do it.
That said, my drains were all snaked and have never drained so well. So 2 stars instead of 1.

I work in DC and was out of town I thought 1 found a company that would come and replace two drain valves in my upstairs bathrooms. They charged me 129.00 to come out but would roll that out of the final bill after he found out what was wrong. My wife called me after the diagnostic and he wanted 800+ for the repair. I ended up fixing them the next day for 35.00, imagine if I didn't know what to do he was planning on taking advantage of my wife. Only 1/2 a star, he came out

Had a major plumbing issue and was assigned this company by my warranty company where the warranty ended up not covering it. The technicians were fantastic and they did fix my problem. However, the first time they were out they were unable to fix it and the technician called the office with me, standing there and made me an appointment for the next Tuesday as that's the soonest they could come out I called the day before that appointment and talk to McKenzie. McKenzie advised that there was no appointment on the schedule. Instead of apologizing for the miscommunication and advising, there was an appointment the day after she decided to call me a liar, and that no technician would ever help make an appointment and that I am wrong. When I asked to speak to a manager, she advised that she is the office manager, and I won't talk to anyone else but her (it turns out this was actually a lie. She is not the office manager ) she was very rude the entire phone call and obviously need training on customer service . I have been a customer service manager, and if one of my employees talk to a potential client like this, they would not be employed for very long. I was with the technician when this appointment was made and when he actually talked to McKenzie the previous week. Unfortunately, it turns out McKenzie is the owners daughter and a majority of the bad reviews are about this woman. nepotism at its finest. I was also advised that I would get a callback from the actual office manager, and that also never happened. Unfortunately, this company will no longer get my business after the customer service that I experienced from the office staff which is unfortunate as I was planning on recommending them just due to their price and the technicians. I highly recommend that McKenzie takes some customer service classes on LinkedIn. They are free.

Paid over $200 an hour. The fee to just inspect and service my Apollo water heater was $289. During the inspection , a part that was functioning prior to the service, but suddenly not, cost another $250, $100 for the part and $150 for the installation of the new part.

I am sorry to say do not hire Barnett Plumbing he cannot be trusted to complete the work contracted for.
I hired Barnett plumbing for a $2,500 sewer replacement. We subsequently added $800 in more work. I have paid the agreed bill for all the work in total $3,300. Mr Barnett completed all work on 4/29/15 except 2 jobs, slow drain in bathroom and PVC drain for hybrid hot water heater, he has been prominising to complete the agreed work, either later that day or at end of the week, for over a month. Now he doesn't return my calls or e-mail when I attempt to obtain a start date. It is obvious he does not intend to complete the work that he acknowledged was agreed to and paid for. His assistant was told in front of me, and my wife to obtain the material required to complete the 2 jobs and his assistant can confirm that, it's not a matter of misunderstanding.

We have had 4 appointments with no shows or a phone call to cancel. Now they will not answer my phone calls or return messages. Part has been at my house since 7/25/23! My service with Luis and Sons was set up with American Home Shield. Luis diagnosed my refrigerator while talking to my husband over the phone (he never came to my house). The compressor arrived 7/25/23. I called Luis and Sons and American Home Shield to notify the parts were at my house and an appointment was scheduled for 7/28. Luis and Sons was a no show with no phone call. We called Luis and Sons and they rescheduled for 8/7. Again, they were a no show with no phone call. We called American Home Shield who did 3-way call and a third appointment was scheduled with the office manager, Susan for 8/14. They were a no show with no phone call for the 3rd no show appointment. I called Luis and Sons to follow up, and Susan said my ticket was closed, thought I had a dryer vent issue (my service call was for a refrigerator), and said couldn't talk and would call me back. She thought she hung up the phone, but didn't. I proceeded to hear her talk to a service tech, Mark, about how she didn't want to call me back because I was going to talk her ear off and she doesn't know what I'm talking about and I'm not in their system. I called American Home Shield and they spoke to Susan who told them they'd be at my house on 8/15. They did not show on the FOURTH Appointment with no phone call. Now when we call Luis and Sons, they do not answer the phones and do not return our voice messages. We followed up again with American Home Shield and Susan hung up on American Home Shield twice. It was escalated to contractor relations. Then American Home Shield spoke to Luis directly and he said he'd call us directly the next day, and he still hasn't called and it been over a week. Meantime, we have not had a working refrigerator for 2 months waiting on this company with the part here since 7/25/23!
