I absolutely loved the service received from Daniel Electric. I was a little frustrated after reviewing and speaking with a number of other companies, I knew I had the right one once i spoke to Jerry on November 30. He explained everything in detail and understood what I needed. I had two chandeliers that needed to be replaced with new ones and the service was scheduled within days, not weeks as others were telling me. Chris and his associate arrived on time and did a fantastic job. The rates are affordable and I appreciate that Chris did not leave until he made sure it was completed to my satisfaction. I will definitely be using Daniel E. in the future and would highly recommend!

9/28/2017. When I spoke with the owner Chuck Anderson he was very courteous and personable. He said he would have a tech come today, and he did within three hours.. The techs also picked up my fixtures at a lighting showroom before they arrived. Two electrical technicians , Jeffery and Nick serviced our home. They replaced two lanterns and two flood lights. They did an excellent job. Both guys were very professional and cleaned up all messes. We would not hessitate to recommend this company to friends and relatives. A plus was that their charges were deffinately fair and reasonable.

I consulted with Glenn for some quote estimate on fixing various items on my home inspection report, especially, as a first-time home buyer, I don't know anything about electric and HVAC and its repairs. He went beyond those repairs and shared some good tips on home buying and inspection. I put value on this kind of consideration to his customer.
Moreover, I felt that Glenn provided his professional suggestion for my benefit instead of simply trying to get more business. I respect that and I can also tell that he is very knowledgeable with what he does too.
Also, I haven't worked with Glenn in any actual work, but he will be the first I consult if there is need in the future.

A word of mouth referral for this company. I called the owner, Scott and explained my situation. I told him I was putting in an above range microwave, but it was going to interfere with the double light switch. I told him I would like for him to move the switch box if possible. He told me he could come by late in the day. He called before 5pm and asked if I wanted to go ahead and do it today, or get it done tomorrow. My wife was very anxious to get the microwave installed, so I said come on by. Scott and his brother arrived, accessed the situation, and gave me their best options. After about an hour, the job was done and we were truly very happy with the result. Additionally, he charged the normal 1 hour fee, even though it was 'after hours'.

I was looking for an electrician to install a manual transfer switch to connect a portable generator to my house, something which I had very little knowledge about. From my research online, I should've expected to pay around $700 for this job. Every electrician I called was quoting me $1200+! I was getting so frustrated, until I called Chris at Upton Electric. He responded very promptly and quoted me a very fair price, right around the amount I was expecting to pay. Even during the 30 degree weather, his electrician, Terry worked on the transfer switch all day and stayed to test out the generator to make sure everything worked properly. I will definitely be using them for any future projects.
*In reference to the other negative review - Yes, the first house of labor is $117, then any hour after that is at a reduced amount. That is a FAIR price. It doesn't make sense for a company to come out for a job and charge $20 even if it's for 5 minutes of work.

I called because i had a plug not working, they came out within a few hours, they were very friendly and courteous. They diagnosed the problem and corrected it. I also had them switch out an outdoor outlet while they were here. As for pricing, it was a little more than I expected, but after checking out other options, it was not a large difference. I would use them again.

I have used Glow Electric for many years because I thought they were honest and fair....BUT I have discovered that is NOT the case. They sent 2 electricians to install a circuit breaker. I was told by Donald, the owner, that they always send 2 guys, but that is not true because I've had 1 guy (Troy) out to my house in the past to install a ceiling fan and under counter lighting. Donald tried to tell me that he was required to send 2 unless he didn't have 2 to send. Then he tried to tell he had lot of overhead. Then he asked me what they second electrician would do while the one was installing my breaker....color??? This is a company I have recommended to so many people. I .AM SHOCKED! If you want honest fair folks DO NOT call Glow Electric

This company is fairly expensive, which would've been fine. But they are also slow, which would've been fine. But they also made mistakes that I am going to have to pay to repair.
Holes for recessed lights were cut too big. The electrician recommended I go buy plastic ceiling medallions to make them work.
I talked to the electrician about installing a ceiling fan, being careful to avoid the strobe effect from recessed lights nearby. The fan was installed using a downrod, instead of flush to the ceiling. It made shadows spinning around the room, until I took it down and re-mounted it flush.
They also came up with some good creative solutions for some other problems. But they worked here for two full days, charged over $1000 each day, did not address all my requests, and did several things that I had to redo.
