Lost all water to my house and acreage on a Saturday. Called Harper Well and Plumbing and they answered and said they would be there in an hour. Father and son showed up in 45 minutes. They identified the problem immediately and were able to make things work until the new tank can be installed next week.  Fast, professional, and trustworthy. Thanks guys!

I woke up one morning to my husband saying we have a problem!

Ugh, I hate those mornings.  We moved into our house about a year ago and I heard this often because our basement leaked after a rainstorm. I assumed that's what it was. While we didn't have several inches of water wall-to-wall, we had bits of TP, sewage and icky, dirty water coming out of the drain. YUCK!

For whatever reason our main plumbing line was backed up and I didn't have a plumber to call. I prefer small town businesses so I didn't call the 'big companies' but I did call several recommended one man shows and they weren't able to come right away.  Until I found Matt Wolfe.  Within 45 minutes (he was at another job) he was over to look at the problem.  Then he left to get the proper equipment and was back within the hour.  

He couldn't give an estimate until he got in there, which I understood, but he told me to expect between $115 and $500. I know that's a huge range but it was better to know than not.  After a few hours and countless trips up and down our basement stairs (with heavy bulky equipment) our drains were unclogged.  He took the time to fill the wash tub several times, he had me flush too so I could make sure it was working, he even asked me if I had more towels so he could clean up the mess and toss the towels in the washer for me! Umm, awesome! So all I had to do after paying him (ended up around $300 because he had to go quite a ways out to clear it), was wipe up some of the black stuff and mop.  I'm not sure if plumbers usually do that but it spoke VOLUMES.  We also chatted for a little while after. He's very personable, I felt very comfortable having him come in and out of the house. He let me do my own thing while he worked. It was a really good experience.

It was recommended to me by a friend who also has a house with old pipes to not use thick toilet paper or flush tampons.  I'll keep that in mind and switch to good old Angel Soft.

He came promptly, was dressed clean and was very courteous.  We live in an old house and have had to have a lot of sewer work done over the years.
    He went straight to work, was very neat and got the job done quickly and efficiently. He did the best job of anyone we've had over the years.
    We'll definitely call him again. His work was outstanding, his charges very fair and he even cleaned up the mess, leaving it like he'd never been there.

After Mike replaced my water heater, he put the old one out on the lawn and said it would  be picked up today or tomorrow.  After six days, I called to remind him.  He made excuses and promised to pick it up that day.  After another day, I called again, and got the same response.  The third time I called, he just sent me straight to voice mail and never returned my call.  After 11 days I had to pay a guy with a pick-up $30.00 to haul it off...something that was part of the job I'd already paid Mike for.  This was an unsatisfactory and inexcusable way for someone to conduct business, and I cannot recommend him.

I had a recent main backup that required snaking out to the sewer.  I have had this identical procedure done twice in the last 6 years.  I called Roto Rooter because I thought that's who I had used in the past.  I quickly realized that in fact it was Mr. Rooter that had done work for me in the past when my invoice was 150% what had paid in the past.  While the work was satisfactory, timely and the plumber was courteous and friendly, the 2 stars is a result of the price gouging on a service that is not rocket science nor requires any materials.  I will not be adding them to speed dial.

I called to have the toilet wobble fixed and was pretty certain I would just fix that little leak under the bathroom sink myself. I'm so glad I changed my mind! Jason walked me through the estimate and didn't make promises on things he hadn't yet seen. Sign of integrity.
It turned out that little leak was stubborn and multifaceted. It needed persistence and Jason wasn't giving up. The toilet had several issues wrong with it as well and now there's no leaking into the basement! Jason answered my million questions patiently and explained it all so I could understand. Even after the job was done and I had paid him, he still tightened a couple loose, barely dripping, clamps in the basement for me. I'm disabled and on a very tight budget but every penny was worth it for no leaking, no wobbling and my peace of mind. I will most certainly be contacting them if I have plumbing needs in the future. I am very satisfied with the professionalism, work ethic and the respectful demeanor of this employee as well. A job well done.

they drove 3 miles to get here. did no repair work. charged 170$. didn't even provide a written bill or email. completely took advantage of my 94 year old grandma. considering filing complaint with BBB

If you need a plumber look elsewhere.  

We had a problem with our water heater on a Friday - I called King & Sons and had prompt service.  However the $80 I was told it would cost for the visit turned in to $132 to clean the ignition assembly.  To his credit the pilot was on when he left, after spending 10 minutes at our house.  However, later in the day we noticed it had gone out again, and eventually determined that it would light, but after the burner would go off the pilot would go out as well.  We called King & Sons back Saturday morning and we were told they would need to replace the burner assembly.  

I told the K&S plumber we would be calling Sears as we found that the heater was still covered under a parts warranty.  Sears was able come out Monday afternoon and their repairman said right away the ignition assembly would need replaced.  After spending 40 minutes replacing it and talking with me about the other plumber he suggested calling K&S, as he wasn't sure what exactly their plumber had done to my water heater, he could find nothing that would have been cleaned.

I attempted calling Monday prior to 5 (their close time) and got their after hours message.  When I called Tuesday morning I asked to speak to someone regarding a complaint over the service we received the lady took my information and said she would have the owner call me.  Thirty hours later (Wed afternoon) I had not heard anything so I called back.  The same lady answered and I was told she would make sure he called me right back.  My phone rang and it was the plumber who had been at our house on Friday.  He tried to tell me that when he talked to me Saturday I told him everything was working - why would I call you if it was working?  

He continued to try and cover for what I call their lack of professionalism and customer service and then said well I'll tell the owner what we talked about and have him call you.  I finally got a call from the business owner, he told me that it's standard practice for any plumber in Lincoln you would call to clean the ignition assembly and that's just the way it is.  I did not expect to get all of my $132 back, but I was hoping they would take care of this unsatisfied customer and give me some of it.  Sorry, no - not at King & Sons.  

So, there you have it, my rip-off experience with a plumber I will never use nor recommend to anyone again.

My sewer was back up and water was in my downstair laundry room and also under the stairs which was also my daughter closet since there was tubes in there. I called  Matt Sewer and Drain first  and they came the next day and first told them my daughter closet also had water in it since the tubes. I don't think Matt understood that I need that looked at as well but when him and his son got done when down to look and thing looked good at first. They left and went downstair again and under the stairs and black water was standing in there. Called them back right way and he didn't knew that happen when they were cleaning the sewer drain and did come back to clean it up but I ended up cleaning most. I also realize after they left for the second time they did not seal a lid and when I called them about not letting me know it was not sealed his wife told me it would need replaced and they could do it for $30 for the part but if they told me when they were at my house in the beginning I would of not had more water coming through the way. They said they would come back to do it but never did. I don't think I will be calling them again.

bad customer service. Technician made a mess and did not resolve the issue. Spent three days replacing parts only to find the solution was ridiculously simply. Wasted money and time. Issue still not resolved. Work with someone else if possible. Unprofessional all around
