Jimmy Krummel, AKA Jimmy the Plumber has been my parents' plumber for over 2 decades now. His business is located in the Lakeview area of New Orleans, but he serves the entire metro area.
Flashback 5 years ago when I moved back to New Orleans from Los Angeles, I bought a 50 year old house (with 50 year old drains) and needed a plumber. There was never any doubt on who I was going to call, as I have never met such a trustworthy, hard working and God fearing man!
Low and behold, my shower drain got clogged, and my Liquid Plumber attempt at a fix it had failed. I called Jimmy and he immediately answered, even though I could tell from the background noise that he was at a party or other type of function. He was ready to leave the party (at 8 PM) and come right over, but I assured him that I had 2 other showers I could use and it was not necessary, and that he could come the next day. The next morning, he was courteous enough to call and advise he would be a running 30 minutes behind schedule, as he encountered an unexpected issue at another residence. I really appreciated his call as there is nothing worse than waiting for a service technician for hours on end without any idea as to when they are going to show up. Even if you call him and he has his hands full, he always calls back in a timely fashion.
Several years ago, my sister's on demand water heater broke in the middle of winter and she was waiting on an electrical component to be UPS'd to her home. The part got delivered after 7 PM. Jimmy the Plumber was at a graduation ceremony when the part got delivered, but came over after the ceremony (while on his way to the after party) and changed out the part so she could have hot water. This is over the top service, and why I will never call another plumber again.
I have used Jimmy 2 additional times in the past 5 years and have gotten nothing but top notched service each time. He is the type of guy you can have working in your home and never have to worry about anything, as his trustworthiness and integrity are beyond reproach.
I can't say enough good things about this guy and his his business. If you are ever in the need of a plumber, I cannot recommend this guy enough!

My toilet water line burst and flooded two rooms. I phoned 504 Parish Plumbing and they worked me in on a busy day for them. They showed up 45 mins later and fixed the burst line AND fixed a leaky outdoor spigot. Both jobs were done in under 30mins. The guys were efficient and actually enjoyed their job. I can not recommend this company enough. FIVE STARS!

I have used Bienvenu Brothers in the past, but after my most recent experience I am concerned I might have been overcharged then as well because I am a female that is clueless to HVAC units. Our upstairs air conditioning went out last week and we had their AC man come out, he came out the next day which was prompt enough. He and another worker spent about 30 minutes at the house and told me we had a leak in the coil. Leak apparently could either be an inside leak or an outside leak, and because ours was inside it was not nearly as severe. I was informed they were filling it up with Freon because a considerable amount had leaked out and that it should last us around 6 MONTHS. They were going to look at getting us a new coil, but they are on back order due to the pandemic and have no clue when one will be available- Freon apparently was a band aid to the problem. Which I'm thinking okay that's fine, put the Freon in and we will wait to hear on the coil. The bill was over $500 just for Freon and 30 mins of their time.
ONE WEEK LATER the unit is out again. When I call the repair man to ask what the deal is because he said it would last 6 months, he tells me his gauge that tests the unit just says if there is a leak or not- it does not tell him how significant the leak is. Wouldn't you think it is common decency to tell the customer that upfront? Then let them make the decision on their own to spend $500 for what could potentially be nothing? Well they did not, what they did was unethical and they also had not checked into an ETA for the new coil. We had a different company come out today, refilled the Freon for a fraction of $500 and will have a new part in and installed next Tuesday. Also, please wear a mask when you enter people's homes.

Called to get estimate on plumbing job and was told that they could only give estimate when someone became available and they had no time line. Must be nice to have so much business that you cannot schedule estimates for what could have been a large job.
Found it was somewhat frustating to deal with a business who seemed so lackadaisical and uninterested in doing business.
Wow, if you are that busy, then, maybe you should consider hiring!!!!
Anyway, have found a reputable company that scheduled me for this afternoon. Good luck, Earl's, if this is your attitude towards customers, then, you may not be so busy in the future.

Mock Plumbing recommended American Leak Detection after cleaning out my drain lines and being unable to completely break through an area of drain line. Although Mock said I could wait on having the drainage inspected, I opted to have an inspection done to locate and fix the problem once and for all. I setup the appointment for about two weeks in advance. Steve, the technician who would perform the inspection, called me the day before to verify the appointment. Even on the phone he was super nice and friendly. He asked if he could come out around 7am and I said sure. About 6:45am the next morning he was there. He knows his stuff that's for sure. He did a great job explaining things and even had my wife look at the camera monitor so she could see things for herself. Steve found a ruptured section of main 4 drain line in the middle of the backyard, which was a great relief since I was expecting it to be under the house with my luck. Steve showed me the monitor so I could see for myself the breakage (the camera is color). Steve marked the area of the pipe rupture by painting a line in the grass directly above the pipe. Steve was, again, very personable, competent, and professional. He called Mock to let them know what he had found and I setup an appointment with Mock later that morning. It took Steve about an hour to do his job. Overall, I was very impressed with Steve and American Leak Detection. I would hire them again if the need arises.

I bought a house that had French doors. One didn't open or close without a huge effort. I contacted Al and he responded within an hour. I wasn't even sure how to properly talk about why the doors weren't working but he asked easy specific questions to try and get to the problem. He gave me a loose estimate based on his understanding and we agreed to meet. Within 2 hours the doors were working like brand new! And his estimate was 30$ under what he guessed! This was a small job but he treated it like a big one. He was respectful, professional and treated my home with care. I will DEF be calling him for all my repairs. It is worth the weight in gold to know that the job is done RIGHT!

Horrible!!!
The service guy quoted me $783.00 to REPLACE a 220 outlet (wires already connected to breaker) & replace a hot water heater cord. That's insane!!!
I let them know I wasn't gonna have it fixed b/c of price & had to pay the service call fee of $159.00 for the 15 minute quote. That's insane!!!!
soooo $53.00 dollars & 6 YouTube videos later I have hot water again!!!!
FYI Doug... this girl ain't stupid!!!
