Best Plumbing Services in New Orleans, LA
Mr. Bynum is my new go-to plumber! The manufacturer of a recalled component assigned him to repair the work of an earlier installer who had performed the replacement correctly. He quickly made the repairs and couldn't have been more polite or professional. He went out of his way to help me, and I wish there were more people out there who work this competently and efficiently. It was a pleasure to have been served by him.

I had an obstruction in the line that was backing up in the toilet when I washed clothes.I was originally told on 2/3/2021 that the clean out in my washroom wouldn't accommodate the equipment to determine where the obstruction in my line was located and the plumber said he had to take out my toilet to remove the obstruction which cost 565.00 but with a 10% discount. But to no avail, he couldn't remove the obstruction so he would arrange for the camera team who had this extraordinary equipment to detect the obstruction, so on 2/4 another guy came and he said he couldn't see anything other then black so it must be a broken pipe underneath the slab and he wrote me an estimate of 9,000. I was told to not use my kitchen sink , washer, or commode until I had the work completed. Another company came 2 days later and easily and effortlessly used the same cleanout that the first guy told me that his equipment wouldn't accommodate. He removed the obstruction within an hour! No need to break concrete and go through the slab and only charged 205.00. So I was overcharged and mislead and stressed unnecessarily because RotoRooter was inept or untruthful about my problem to get more money, I wonder if they work on commission? At any rate I would not believe what they say and I would get a second opinion before using them.

The plumber was extremely rude and hostile to my 86 yr. old mother who hired him. He wasn't aware I was there but changed his tone when I walked into the bathroom where he should have been working. It was obvious that we were an inconvenience to him.

I feel I was taken advantage of in an emergency situation. The price quoted on the phone was $65 for service call and when plumber arrived he said there was an additional $165 diagnostic fee, which the $65 applied towards. I agreed and plumber found issue with missing insulation around pipe under house, which he said he could fix but needed materials, which would cost me another $65, plus cost and my percentage, if he went to buy it. When I came up with what he needed, a can of Great Stuff, which costs about $4, he said he could make the repair but there were additional charges for going back under the house. In total, he offered to fix my issue for $425. I asked why so much and he said because he had to crawl back under the house. I refused and gave him my check for $165 and called the office. The owner called me back and we had a lengthy conversation going over the fees and I said I felt I was being taken advantage of and that you must think I'm stupid. He continued to justify the costs because the plumber had to crawl under the house when it's 30 degrees outside. This was an emergency repair and yes, it was cold, not 30 degrees, and I said crawling under the house is part of the job - he's a plumber! He said there might be a discount but I had already handed over $165 and sent the plumber away. He did not offer to refund any of the cost when I said I wanted my money back. I said I was going to share my experience and give him bad reviews. The owner said go right ahead, that he was recording my conversation and would give it to his attorney. Not sure what that will accomplish as everything I said is the truth. How's that for customer service = record your unhappy customers and hand the recordings over to an attorney. I am following through with sharing my experience and letting readers know how I was put in a difficult, unfair situation by these plumbers. And I still have the issue of water getting in under my sink. I really feel like they may do this all the time and buyers should be cautious. I will say I used them once before and was pleased with the work - the job was done right and for a fair price, on a Sunday, no less. This time, I feel completely disrespected and angry. If there was an even more negative rating for this company I would give it.

Avoid this company! They are not only incompetent but nasty, arguing with me about what had happened on a series of visits. The problem was never resolved after several hundred dollars. I'm looking for another plumber.
