Danny at Dylco Electric is the BEST! Not only is he a great electrician, but he's also just a nice guy. Their customer service is incredible too. If you're looking for an electrician, I would highly recommend giving him a call.
SIDE NOTE: We recently had him update our internet/wifi which we were constantly having issues with. We have Comcast and I just assumed there was no hope for improvement, but after speaking with Danny, we decided to update some of our equipment. Our Internet has never been more consistent or faster. It's definitely worth a call if you are frustrated with your current wifi connections.

We had two days of work for them to do. Haley from the office who does the scheduling is terrific to work with and very nice. The crew that did the work was Randy and Jordon. They were so good, we could not believe our good fortune. They will be highly recommended in our neighborhood. Thank you Midwest for a great job.

Handled the issue quickly, I was able to come out in less than 24 hours. Will definitely use again.

Highly recommend! James may specialize in lighting but he did several non lighting projects for us with a very tight time frame. Pricing was very reasonable as well. We will be using Ace for any future electrical needs.

Our experience with AGS Electrical was absolutely horrendous. AGS is one-person company and hires outside help to complete jobs. This is lengthy, but please read and spare yourself the hassle of hiring this company. We hired AGS to install four new recessed LED lights in our main room, swap out a flush-mount light, install three dimmer switches and run AV cables from beside the fireplace to above, so we could mount our TV to the wall.
AGS was to start working at 9am. My wife called at 10:30am, asking where they were and was told they were 15 minutes out. At 11:30am, they finally appeared, took our deposit and said they needed to get additional parts. They didn't show up until 1:30pm, even after being told they were "10 minutes out" several times. At 1:30pm, I was told that some work would not be completed that day, due to one of his employees cancelling on him.
I came home at 5pm to find how little work had been completed and was nervous the work would not be completed that day. We decided to have them install the TV cables next, rather than cutting holes in the ceiling for the lights. They started cutting into the drywall and drilling through the studs of the house to run the wires, but were unable to make a large enough hole to run three HDMI cables. In an attempt to make the holes larger, AGS proceeded to take an electric drill at full speed in and out of the wall with no precision. At this point, it's 8:30pm and I asked them to stop working, as it is evident they were unable to complete the work.
We went through the estimate line-by-line and came to an agreement to pay for the work that was completed, however the total came to roughly one third of the original estimate. He still demanded the full 50% deposit for his work. He then argued with me for the next 45 minutes for his efforts, but since it was past 9pm, I told him to keep the deposit and leave.
Damages:
I came home from work the next day to better assess the work of AGS Electric. The cable box was broken, not mounted flush with the wall or level, and the outlet with the AV cables was also not mounted level with other outlets on the same wall. I stepped outside to inspect the side of the house and found two large holes from where their drill had passed through the interior of the house through the exterior wall and into the chimney. We also noticed a 4" x 4" patch of carpet had been torn up where the foot of their ladder was dragged along the carpet.

A little over a year ago in November of 2017 I was negotiating to purchase my house on 17th Avenue in Beech Grove. The property was built in 1918 and was in 2017 owned by William Croasmun Jr.
During the requisite home inspection my home inspector expressed concerns about the remaining live knob and tube wiring in the home. Croasmun advised me to contact the electrician who had done work on the house and who also, I was naively pleased to learn, was electrical inspector for the city of Beech Grove. I spoke to Mr. Mike Hughes on the phone. In addition to being unpleasant and condescending, he scoffed at the concerns of the home inspector and told me in sarcastic tones that anyone who purchases an older home should expect knob and tube wiring and it is not necessary to do anything about this. A year later and a little wiser and having spoken to other area electricians and experts, of course I realize that this is not the case. I also realize, in hindsight, that Mr. Hughes was colluding with seller Croasmun so that Croasmun would not be obligated to make any electrical improvements.
I am not naive enough to believe that every electrician I encounter will be honest and ethical, however I do not believe that a dishonest and manipulative electrician like Mike Hughes should be an inspector for the city of Beech Grove (or any government organization). I will be pursuing this with the Better Business Bureau and any other agencies that I think might be in a position to protect the interests of future Indianapolis home buyers"

Do not recommend. He collected my trip charge money but never even delivered an estimate. Replied that he didn't have the manpower to do the job. He never even started our job, let alone actually following through... he made $40 that day for nothing. The exact definition of someone who gives contractors a bad name.

Let me start by saying that I have never actually used this company, and here is why: I called to get information about their services and whoever answered the phone simply said, "Hello" (no mention of a company name). I ask is this Cloyd Construction, to which the answer is a rude "Yes, who is this, what do you want?" At this point I decided that I would not be referring this company to my clients in Indianapolis. Extremely rude and completely turned me off to the company within the first 30 seconds.
