Artisan Electric is a full line professional electrical contractor. We do residential, commercial, light industrial, managed maintenance - as well as voice, data, audio, video, generator systems, surge protection. We also uniquely specialize in historic properties, remodels, service upgrades, re-wires, lighting design, and outdoor living spaces.
HISTORY
Artisan Electric was started in June of 2004 by Christopher A. Voglund and His wife Michelle. Chris has been involved in the construction trades for 20-plus years, all of that time spent here in Tippecanoe County.
After attending two years of Industrial Supervision at Purdue University Chris went on to complete a four year electrical apprenticeship program. Upon receiving his Journeyman's card, Chris took and passed the Experior (AKA: the Block and Associates or Prometric Exam) nationally recognized electrical exam.
Having worked at two of the area's most respected professional electrical contractors as an electrician, service tech, job foreman, project manager, estimator, and trainer his skills and tenacity are well known in the electrical community.

Went online and saw all of the wonderful reviews so I called and they were able to get to me right away! Excellent work and super great crews to work with. Professional, friendly, courteous, and walked through with me to assess my needs of all undone work left and rework needed from previous contractors. Wish I would've called Artisan Electric in the first place! They replaced 4 post lights, 9 exterior house lights, and many interior light fixtures in high and hard to reach places. They'll be coming back to add on and rework various projects as well. I actually noted aloud that I felt more relaxed than I had in a very long time with people working in my home, knowing that it was being done right to begin with. Thanks again!

Fantastic service with high attention to detail. We have had Artisan Electric to our home and to the hotel I manage. They are more than capable of handling the large jobs just as well as the small. I did I mention fantastic customer service?!

I have referred Artisan Electric several times to my real estate clients and they have been extremely appreciative and happy with them every single time. It is a small, locally owned business but is always growing as well as doing a lot for the community in supporting other small businesses etc. I know they have a huge focus on excellence and go much further than most contractors I have worked with to ensure professionalism and quality standards. I know most people associate them with excellence and some have even been more inclined to purchase a home if they knew the electrical work had been worked on by Artisan.
We had some pretty serious electrical issues at my mother house found during the home inspection after receiving a purchase offer. Artisan Electric came in, gave us an estimate, completed the work quickly and within the estimate. The prospective buyers were satisfied and the sale went through. Thanks Chris!! We were put in touch with Artisan Electric by a friend who was very happy with work they had done for her. We had them do a $3k job of hooking up outside wiring that we the property owners (residential) had buried some months before. We totally loved the work and the communications and the helpful explanations of why things are done the way they are done. They take the time to answer questions. We will hire them again when we need electrical work, no hesitation.

Chris/Artisan is a highly qualified professional and is a genuinely nice guy! I had him install light fixtures and complete some electrical work for a commercial building and am happy with the completed job. We will absolutely call again when we need electrical work done.
