They were recommended by our general contractor and we're told they're the best and I couldn't have agreed more. I spoke to Mr. Solomon he told me when he would be here showed up on time with his team. He listened to what we wanted, which was to install a 240 for our EV. He did an amazing job and went above and beyond. I would highly recommend using them, incredibly happy we had them do the work.

I suspected we had a blown circuit, which controlled lighting for nearly half our condo.  I reached out to a handful of electricians with high Yelp reviews.  Phillip got back to me with reasonable pricing (for visit/inspection fee), and had availability within hours.  

His son, Phillip Jr., and Bernard arrived on time, were super professional, quick, competent, and friendly.  And I felt the final bill was completely reasonable (and that total was actually lower than just the service/visit fee offered from another electrician).

I added Solomon to my contacts for future electrical needs, and passed along their info to some friends who were also in the market for an electrician.

Phillip Is an amazing electrician and I'm so glad I found him on here!!. He was responsive when I called needing and electrician to come out same day. I sent him my information via text and he came out promptly at 10:30am, he was able identify the problem and rewire 3 light switches in an hour. When he was done, he cleaned up super well.  He is friendly, knowledgeable, and explained what he did in an easy to understand way.  He is very reasonably priced. I will surely be using him again. Ghosting customers is rude!
If you expect followup / customer service with issues after the initial job, you may be very disappointed as I am now. I hired this company to install 2 ceiling fans in my home.  I admit that I was very pleased with the service received on the installations. Less than 5 months later, one of the fans would not turn off and after 2 weeks of trying, they would not set a time to come investigate the cause. I was not asking for, or expecting, any free service.  I just wanted my problem solved.  A little honesty or even fake concern would have gone a long way with me.

Philip was great to work with and very responsive. After my home warranty electrician failed to fix or even correctly diagnose my wiring problem, Philip was able to come out within a few days of contacting him and diagnose and fix the problem in a day. He even wrote up an invoice with a detailed description of the problem to send to my home warranty company, which was greatly appreciated.

I discovered an electrical issue early in the morning and called a few different electricians and left messages. When I called Solomon, Philip actually picked up the phone. I know, crazy. I explained my problem and he said he was on his way to his first job but would stop by after. He did. He fixed the problem quickly and efficiently. He also gave me some valuable input on a few other nagging electrical issues I asked about.
His fee was reasonable.

I'm a licensed Architect and General Contractor and our team hired Philip to do both the rough and finish electrical for a modern 1,100sf companion unit in Hillcrest.  

Philip and the rest of his close team (his son and his nephew) delivered high quality craftsmanship within a challenging shell (concrete block, cast-in-place concrete walls, minimalist aesthetic), provided thorough explanations of his recommendations to exceed trade standards, was promptly responsive in his communications, and was just an overall nice guy to work with.    

I plan on hiring his company for my own house, which I hope to break ground in February, and will continue to recommend him highly to the people I care about and to Contractor colleagues looking for reliable, trustworthy, fair, and accountable subcontractors.  

The picture I'm attaching shows a good sampling of the finished product.  As with any final building product, a bunch of work goes into planning and the concealed components that make a certain result come out looking clean and effortless.  I credit the end product to the great collaborative effort with Philip and his family.

Called Friday late afternoon of Labor Day weekend for a dear friend who is housebound.  Spoke with a friendly woman and explained the situation of no kitchen lights and if there was anyway they could go by and check things out.  Asked if they would have a crew working on Saturday and she said yes but could not guarantee they could make it.  Well Saturday morning i recieved a call from one of their electricians and he was on his way to her house.  Wearing a mask he went directly to the circuit box and found two breakers tripped and that was that.  Then the wow factor of no charge for his time.....really!   Truly excellant customer service by these folks.  Thank you thank you!!

Phillip came out on a Sunday and dealt with the issues quickly. He took the time to make sure future issues wouldn't happen and was very courteous. Can't recommend enough!

Our breaker had been tripping throughout the evening, into the morning (not fun in the cold /very convenient that this should happen on a Friday evening). SDGE came out but there wasn't anything they could do on their end. So, our management company finally sent one of their maintenance guys out in the late morning, but he wasn't able to do anything but reset the breaker. They finally sent out Phillip on an emergency basis, and he was great. Super personable, and kind. He replaced our breaker, and explained exactly what happened, essentially what caused the breaker to continually trip. And how to avoid that from happening again (aka not using the space heater in certain places). He even jotted which appliances use which outlets for me!  We now have electricity again (yay!), and I feel like I actually understand how breakers work. Thanks Phillip!

This company is great. We called Phillip at about 4pm yesterday and he arranged to be at the office I was working at the next morning!!

This was great because I am from Florida and I needed to get the job done that I was working on in order to get home. Phillip even drove with me to Harbor Freight and another supply store to get other add on items needed for the air compressor. Great company. Very knowledgeable. The warehouse manager even asked for Phillip's card since he was so impressed.

Outstanding Price and Customer Service.

I found myself needing an electrician fix the overhead lighting in my kitchen. Not that big of a job, but my visually impaired father lives with me and low lighting is more difficult than no lighting at all. I utilized Home Advisor to request a quote and in less than five hours - my lighting issue was resolved. Phillip arrived when he promised and I was charged what I was quoted (and I want to point out that tubes shouldn't have been included - but Phillip covered the cost of the tubes. The level of customer service that Phillip provided was something that isn't seen a lot anymore. My 25-year old son made a comment about the level of customer service - ...That's not something you see everyday... You won't be disappointed with this company.

Getting a 200amp electrical panel installed can be a trying event in the best of times, but during a pandemic, it takes a experienced electrician who knows the process inside and out. Phillip, of Solomon Electrical Services, was one of the best decisions I could of made to get the job done. The numerous inspections for each step of the process took time, but I was very happy with the end result. Always professional, and very informative of the process, Phillip delivered a great product at a good price.

Called this business on a Saturday morning when a chandelier installation ran into a wiring hiccup. Two hours later he was at my door and one hour later the chandelier was installed. He's very knowledgeable, efficient and happy to answer questions and explain things. Very reasonable rates as well, especially considering he came out same day (and on a Saturday). I definitely plan to use his services again to re-wire some lights in the bathrooms. Call him first, don't waste your time!

I love these guys. I'm not gonna lie I've had a horrible experience with electricians in the past and these guys come through every time. I was shocked last time I called (for my business) something was had sparked and someone showed up within the hour and wouldn't leave until he solved the problem. He saved me so much money bc I thought I needed to replace a power pole when it was actually an employees faulty iron. Long story short these guys are amazing. Thank you

Some day I'll learn.  The first time I had Solomon Electric out was just after we'd purchased our house.  We wanted to install some smart light switches that could be controlled via our phones.  I tried.  I failed.  I called Solomon and they were out the next day to fix what I'd messed up.  

The second time was a few weeks ago.  I needed to have 6 Nest Protect smoke/carbon monoxide detectors put in, some switch timers and a Z-wave ceiling fan controller..  Thankfully I knew better than to even attempt putting the switches in and called Solomon instead.  They were out the next day and had everything up and running within a few hours.  

Most recently, today, I tried installing a Wink Relay in place of a wall switch.  Not only did I fail miserably at installing it, I also managed to blow 6 track lighting transformers and lost power to my garage.  I immediately called Solomon Electric and within an hour or so they were here fixing my mess again and it all works perfectly.

This is a good company to use for your electrical needs. They responded promptly. They gave me a quote and that was the price when the job was done. They are excellent!

I have used a few companies for electric work and I can say that no one compares to the guys at Solomon.  

They go above and beyond, are very laid back, and trust-worthy.  Any time something comes up for my Office or Home we look forward to the visit from them.  The best part are the issues they point out and fix and little to no cost to me.  Being a small business owner cost is always a issue and with Solomon I know I'm in good hands.

Called due to the stellar reviews, but it's always hard to filter when the reviewers have no yelp friends and very few yelp reviews.  As a yelp elite, I know that you always have to take things with a grain of salt.. but a strong indicator of a true review is when the person is active on this website.

Anyways.  Called Solomon Electrical Services since (a) I like supporting family run businesses, (b) overall pretty decent reviews - can't make everyone happy but I take the average, and (c) yelp deals are awesome!

Called Monday morning.  Spoke to a very kind gentleman who said he would be able to have someone come out on Tuesday afternoon.  Great! He would call me back to confirm?  Sure!

.. later that evening.. no call.  So I called back.  Another nice gentleman.. who I learned was part of a messaging service company that is utilized by the company. (Ah. No wonder they were so nice).  Oh this gentleman assured me that he would pass along my message immediately! Someone would absolutely call me back to confirm tomorrow's appointment....

... later the next day.  no call.  So I called back again.  (Three times is a charm right?)  Now a nice lady, who could sense my disgruntlement, took my name, phone, address, and request for the third time... assured me someone would call right away.  By this point, I'm calling baloney.  Oh but I get a text.  hello this is philip with solomon electrical services we would not be able to look at your job until friday or saturday and we are booked up for the next two weeks to actually do the work

Note for the business:  The objective with regards to new business is to create the impression that they are a priority.  PICK UP THE PHONE AND CALL THE PROSPECTIVE CLIENT BACK.  I might have entertained the week later quote and even the two weeks later for service (even though it's been balls hot).  But the cursory text message after (hopefully) receiving a message that I've inquired not once, not twice, but three times... shows me that you don't care about my business.

So. I don't care about yours either.

For those who have been serviced by Solomon, I hope that you take the time to write genuine reviews of their service and quality.  I did not feel welcome to continue with this company.  So we will take out business elsewhere.

[Note: the review is with regards to response and intake ONLY; not of actual service.  But I am inclined to believe that delays would likely occur if communication is this weak.]

I received a response with an apology from Philip, who is apparently owner of the business.  As mentioned, I do have a soft spot for family run businesses.  They were limited in their resources.  A response to my review at least shows me he does care about his business.  Added stars for response to review since I personally understand what it is like to be in a family business.  Review remains for experience. Nonetheless, it's only fair that I update with regards to subsequent efforts.

My experience was great working with Mr. Solomon and Jr. Solomon. I had my electrical panel upgraded and also electrical outlets installed for my microwave and washer and dryer. Everything works GREAT!! We are SUPER SATISFIED with our electrical in our home now. And we can't wait to have more work done by The Solomons!!!

Great service as always!  Both son and father called me back within the hour.  His son was closer from my house and was able to stop by right away to inspect a broken light switch which was sparking and smoking. Replaced faulty switch in no time. High quality service for very competitive price - very fast and professional service.  I will definitely call Solomon Electrical Services for future needs and will recommend their services to all my friends and colleagues.

Power went out on the front part of my house and garage on Sunday morning. After resetting the fuses, the power would come back on for a little while and then went out again. As it was not an emergency, I researched electricians on Yelp, liked Solomon's reviews, and decided to call them Monday morning.

I called Solomon Electric at 8:15am. They said they would be able to come by between 9:30-10am. The owner and his son, plus helper, arrived exactly at 10am. After troubleshooting the problem, which ended up being more than one issue, I have a couple new outlets and breakers, lots of great info about future upgrades, and a better understanding of the electric that is in my house.

Very reasonably priced, all parts needed they had in their trucks, and they were able to come out almost immediately. Very professional, friendly, and took the extra time to ensure I understood what was done and what upgrades may be needed once the Underground project in the neighborhood is ready to connect to my property.

I will definitely use them again and would refer them to others!

Disappointed...called on 02/07 with a simple issue and never heard back. I gave all my information and was told that someone would be in contact to schedule an appointment. I received a random text that said In a meeting, but nothing after that.  I was patient and thought that maybe they were backed up with work. It's now been 8 days.

As a Veteran, I always try to give my business to veteran-owned businesses. But this type of customer service is disappointing.

**UPDATE** I appreciate the below response, as it is the perfect example of the poor customer service provided by this business.  If you choose this business and get the in a meeting text, make sure you at least respond with ok or cool story bro, or the service you requested will be cancelled.

This company was wonderful and responded quickly to my emergency electrical issue, and found time to help me early this morning. The service was outstanding, he quickly diagnosed and fixed the problem and charged a very fair price. He was very honest and reliable, and I will absolutely contact him again with all of my future electrical issues. It's very hard to find people who do good work, are easy to work with, and charge a fair price.  This is an outstanding business and I can't recommend him highly enough.

We hired Philip & Co. for some work related to a renovation. The work was done promptly, and at high level quality and for a fair price. There was a small component of the job that ended up getting postponed for about 4 months. When I called Philip later, he came in and finished the job as promised.

Overall, excellent results - strongly recommended.

If you need electric work done Solomon electric is the way to go. I called needing someone right away. He gave me a time frame that was more than reasonable. He showed up and was able to replace a ceiling fan/light remote. Along with that I had mentioned a plug that wasn't working. He was able to see in a minute what was causing the issue. Went back to his truck for a little wire and had it fixed in just another 5 minutes.

I called Solomon Electric and talked to the owner, Philip. Long story short, I found an electrician that I will use again and I will recommend him to anyone else needing one.

I called around and got quotes for a 200 amp panel upgrade. I was excited when Philip gave the best quote because he also had great reviews on Yelp. Well all the reviews were well deserved. He was extremely helpful with answering questions prior to the install, and the installation looks great. It could not look more professional. I was very happy with his work, and I'm sure you will be too.

I requested a bid to connect my new main meter service panel.  The gentleman said he would be coming over the next day to bid the project.  He ended up coming 3 days later; no big deal.  However he never submitted a bid.  No call, email, etc.  If a vendor is not interested in a job, the professional thing to do is inform the potential customer instead of ghosting them.

Needed someone to come in and fix a botched wiring job by the previous home owner. These guys were able to find the screw up INSIDE the wall!! where the wiring was messed up - and fix it. Pretty reasonable too, and nice guys! I would recommend!

Phillip answered my call right away and was able to squeeze me into his busy schedule the next morning. He showed up exactly when he said he would and was in and out in under an hour. His experience was evident as he was able to make quick work of the GFCI update despite some wiring issues from the original electrical install. He was courteous and professional. He was willing to use the components I had already purchased (brand new) to keep my costs as low a possible. I will definitely be calling Solomon Electric again should I need more electrical work.

After removing a wall in our house, we needed some work done on exposed outlets sand we call the right electrician. Showed up on time, quoted a fair price, did the work right, and cleaned up after completing the job. The price was the same as the quote, and everything worked and looked great. This will be my go-to electrician now for all my household needs. Fair, honest and knowledgeable - that's what you need in an electrician.

Solomon Electric is exactly the kind of business that I love to support.  Phillip is a straight-forward, no BS, honest and hardworking guy who I would highly recommend for any electrical work in your home or business.  He clearly has a breadth of experience and is well-versed in safety and building code, which is always of concern when hiring an unfamilar contractor.  

I had to have an additional outlet installed for a new appliance, and had two companies (Sol. E was one of them) come to give an overview of their approach and cost estimate.  Phillip's main concern was to keep my condo within building code, which I later found out the other company would have broken with their approach to the modification.  He arrived right on time, and when I asked if he would be done a few hours later (I had to leave for an appointment) he jokingly said Time me, I won't be more than an hour...  Within the hour he had not only completed the work, but cleaned up the areas (drywall had been cut) and chatted with my boyfriend for a while about small business marketing.

I wouldn't look any further for an electrician...and I already am saving for additional projects (new lighting!) in my home that will most certainly be done by Solomon Electric.

So one of my circuits went out last night and we thought the worst. I called Soloman a year later and he remembered me and immediately asked me when he could come over while I was home. SAME DAY????  He trouble shot the circuit and found a burnt up outlet. SCAREY!!!  He replaced it and I asked him to show me how to make sure this wouldn't happen again. He knows I'm A maintainer in Naval Aviation so he showed me 2 expensive trouble shooting tools he uses and explained them to me. Then he showed me where I needed smoke detectors and where to get them cheap but reliable. I'm so glad he came and wired my hot tub a year ago. Use this guy. He's honest and is very generous with his pricing. He will definitely be coming back to replace all my outlets!!!!!!

This was my first time hiring an electrician and it was perfection. I was able to schedule smart switch installations on the same day. Communication was excellent, pricing was very reasonable, and the service was prompt, quick, and clean. I would highly recommend this business.

My situation was a simple fix simply because I haven't done electrical work before. Philip is easy going, methodical, and efficient.
He came, went straight for the breaker, then went inside the kitchen so I can show him the outlet and stove hood that wasn't working. He didn't say too much when he arrived, but I speculate he was running troubleshooting ideas in his mind as he approached my home. As he started collecting data from his troubleshooting, he started to be more open and tell me what's going on.  In my case, it was just a wire in one outlet that was loose/bad. He snipped off a piece and reconnected it.  The thing is, I checked that outlet and it works and has always worked during my 14 years in the house.  Turns out, wiring is daisy-chained from outlet to outlet [I learned something]. Because I am an IT guy, I started asking all sorts of questions so I can do better troubleshooting in the future.  He answered everything and offered all sorts of information that will help me.  It is clear that he likes what he does and is more than happy to share information and experiences.
In my case, his work was extremely efficient and he passed on invaluable knowledge so that I may troubleshoot myself. I will definitely call on him again.

I tripped a breaker today trying to install the range hood myself. Next thing I know, half of my house has no electricity,  I went straight to yelp and called 3 electricians and non answered so the 4th was Mr. Solomon, and he answered and came over right away (29 minutes) and diagnosed the problem and fixed it.  I was panicking too much and thought it was a major problem that would cost too much, but Philip was very honest and fair.  I will for sure store him in my contacts and call him always for all my electrical needs.

I was having issues with a newly installed water heater. Phillip quickly identified the problem (over the phone!) and after arriving, he explained in detail what was going on and how it could be fixed. Top notch service from a true professional. If I ever need an electrician in the future I will definitely call Solomon. A+

I have used Solomon Electrical twice now.  Once over a year ago.  An outlet in the kitchen had quit working and I couldn't find the cause.  Since we had just installed an under the sink small hot water heater I assumed it had something to do with it, but I saw nothing.  I checked yelp and found Phillip.  Called him and he was able to come out the same day.  He explained the process of locating the source to me as he worked.  Turned out it was an outlet about 8 feet away that the wires had come loose.  It could have shorted and started a fire.  Glad I found Solomon Electrical and glad he was able to come out fast.
2nd time I used him was just recently.  We needed a new line from our panel to a new spa.  All the work had to look like it was done original to the house we told him.  Yes this causes more work for an electrician, but Phillip and his son did it exactly as we asked.  We also asked that it all be permitted and inspected, no problem they said.  All of this caused them to make several trips to our place to meet with the inspectors, and be here when the spa was delivered so to do the final hook up. Everything turned out perfect. They also referred us to a drywall person to redo the walls where they had to cut inside.  He too was great.  
We will continue to use Solomon Electrical and recommend them to our family and friends.

I had an interesting home buying experience last December, and I accidentally booked two electricians on the same day! 8[ Phillip was one of them, but when he saw the other contractor, he simply left his card and asked me to call him later. I did, and he said that he had heard of the other contractor, and knew his prices were inflated. I told him what he quoted me, and sent him the home inspector's report, and Phillip said he would do it for less than 1/3 the price. He explained to me that the other electrician was attempting to sell me things I didn't need, and he presented an alternative solution that was more affordable, safe, and within code. So I booked him :)

He came with his son after being easily available around my schedule, and they even fixed a problem that we didn't know we had! They were fast, friendly, thorough, and knowledgeable, so when we found ANOTHER issue (AC circuit has a break between the main house breaker and the unit breaker - no continuity) I called him immediately, unfortunately, he's about an hour late, however, I called him ten minutes ago and didn't get an answer, so my suspicion is that he's on the road and can't legally answer his phone. As long as he makes it here today, I'm fine, but that's because I'm a student and I just started my summer vacation, so I have time to hang around. I understand that people that have to take time off work to meet contractors don't have that kind of flexibility.

UPDATE: about five minutes after I posted this review, he sent me a text message, apologized, and said he was on his way. When he arrived, he was able to find the problem, and another we didn't know we had (go figure) he fixed both, and everything worked perfectly and safely. I'll for sure continue to call him for my electrical needs.

Phil and his son faced quite a mess at our 1925 house due to questionable work done in the past. They refused to ignore things that had been done wrong and brought everything up to today's standards. They thoroughly explained what needed to be done and why, and they got the job done in a very professional manner. We are so grateful for their attention to detail and very reasonable price.

Home Depot provided company two different days with my cell number to contact me for an estimation on a ceiling fan installation.  Didn't call either. Perhaps they should remove their name as a contact from Home Depot.  Good thing another contact from Home Depot's list called and actually installed two fans for me vice just the one I originally intended.

I did receive a phone call and email from the company.  They informed me they were out of town when the original info was sent to them, but called upon their return.  Based on the contact, I have to presume that they mean well.

I got referred to Soloman by a friend's electrician who works mainly up in north county [ I live in central San Diego area, in the area of town Soloman services].  This friend's electrician had met the father / son Soloman's at a trade conference some times back...and he remembered them as very sincere, honest sorts, and said he'd heard good about them. That sounded good to me, so I decided to call them up.

I got Philip on the phone.  He indeed seemed very nice and knowledgable on the phone.  I talked to him around 9AM on Monday, he said he could be out probably between 11 & 1pm that same day - which i thought was terrific.  He called me around 12:45pm, said he was on his way.  Phillip was GREAT!  Indeed, very honest and VERY knowledgable.  Fixed my problem with my wiring in my bathroom fan / light.  Charged a very fair price I thought.  He also stuck around and answered questions I had about a couple other future electrical projects I'd like them to do for us.  I highly recommend Soloman Electrical -- i think you'll like them.

When my 8 year old oven quit working, a Sears technician came out and advised me that the wire connection had melted and that I needed an electrician to do the repair.  I called Solomon Electrical and spoke with Phillip for quite some time.  He confirmed what the technician had guessed--that the problem most likely had to do with the initial improper installation.  When Phillip came out, he took the time to explain to us what was done wrong initially (open splice; not in a junction box).  He then went to get parts and returned to repair the oven wiring that same evening.  Very prompt, thorough and professional.  We will definitely use Solomon Electrical Services again.

Solomon Electric (Phillip) the man, fix my problem that the best price.  I called several others based on yelp reviews and the stories and cost to repair were out of line.  The man ran a little late, but no big deal for me, it just part of the business.  The best part of Phillip is that he found a main service line that belongs to SDGE, needed to be replace, well the other guys just looked at my issue and told me the cost.  So if you plan to use Solomon Electric, be cool and relax he will show up...

I called Solomon Electrical after I installed a GFCI outlet that didn't work.  I explained that I replaced an older GFI outlet that failed. The electrician told me that if I had wired it exactly like the old outlet, the wiring was probably backwards. Apparently the typical setup of a GFCI outlet had changed industry wide several years ago. I went home and swapped the Line/Load positions and the outlet now tests correctly!  Though I didn't hire them, I certainly appreciate the tip. It saved me time and money.

I'm not just a client of Solomon Electric, I'm also a Licensed General Contractor here in SD, Ca. We've been using Phillip and his son for almost five years. I usually do all of my own basic electrical work, but when we're too busy or in over our heads, Phillip is on speed dial. He's probably done 15 or 20 jobs for us, everything from fixing my bonehead mistakes to rewiring entire houses when we're doing a remodel. I don't just hire him based on his skill, though beyond question he knows his stuff, and it's not only cuz his pricing is totally legit (take it from someone in the industry, IT'S LEGIT), but it's also because he and Jr. are stand up guys. He's retired Navy and it shows... straight to the solution, never drones on about the problem, SUPER clean work ~ to the point that I bet if he were blind folded his work would still pass the strictest of inspections.
As for the kind of man he is, one day I went to pay him after he finished a small job and didn't have my wallet on me, Phil takes out his and offers to loan me $20 so I wasn't driving around without lunch money!!! I laughed cuz I had just eaten but if that doesn't show the kind hearted nature of a man, what will?
So here's the bottom line, if you want a super nice guy who's trustworthy and worth EVERY penny you will spend, don't even think of calling anyone else. I know I wouldn't even consider the thought.

Blew the breaker downstairs, which powered my freezer, at around 4:30pm.  I was pretty worried I was going to be scrambling that night to figure out a work around till morning.  Found Solomon on Yelp, had great reviews, so gave them a call.  Phillip came out, was able to squeeze me in that same night, about two hours later.  Very quick, professional, reasonable price, overall nice guy.  I will use them again!

I highly recommend Solomon Electrical Services.  I contacted them a few months back to help install a bunch of ZWave outlet's and switches.  They were very prompt and reliable and also helped to fix some problems found with the aluminum wiring in my condo.  I was provided a wealth of information and greatly appreciate the service that was offered.

Just finished a Solar electric installation.  Needed to upgrade my sub panel before we could start.  Solomon Electric submitted the bid and got the job.  Phil was professional in all of his work.  The city inspector, SDG&E, and Solar City all complimented his work when they completed their work.  I would recommend him for your electrical work.

Garage power went off. Couldn't get my car out. They came within one hour of calling. Found the problem and fixed it. As a free bonus, showed me how to fix a problem I had with my home filter. Courteous, professional and on time. Highly recommended.

We called today after some of our power was lost, and within 30 minutes they were here! Being that it was at our business it was extremely important that our power be turned back on and running. The gentlemen was very nice and very affirming that he would get the job done and within minutes everything was back to normal! The customer service was outstanding, as I felt that I could trust this business to follow through when I need their services again! Very professional and stress free!

Noticed on their website that they were veteran owned, my father is a veteran so this was an easy choice. Phillip arrived at my home at the time we scheduled was very friendly and confident. I had him install 2 lights in two separate rooms in my home. The job was complete without any problems under an hour and the price was very fair. Will be contacting Phillip and his father in the future with any electrical jobs!

Phil upgraded an 2 prong outlet to a grounded 3-prong for me.  On time, on budget, courteous and willing to answer questions.  
He offered to come back and tack down the grounding wire for me if I ever remove my tub from the bathroom.  

Would call him again without hesitation.

You will get the price quoted or an explanation of any change.They will not look down their nose at your 1940's wiring and declare it needs to be entirely replaced. I'd highly recommend Philip, and glad to see that Yelp helped me out once again. I originally turned to Solomon because of the rave reviews. sure enough I had the same experience. He was very responsive, picked up the phone on my first call and was out the next morning to do the work. He and his son were polite, professional and fast...and prices were reasonable - $70 for a ceiling fan install and $95 to get a new outside outlet put in. It's difficult finding an affordable, reliable electrician but have no fear, you've found one at Solomon.

Truthfully I just got lucky when I took a chance on this company.  I'm I glad I found them and since I found them they have taken over all my electrical repairs.  With a older house and a pool I need help two or three times a month.  Between 28 years owning a restaurant and 28 years home owner I get a good since of who knows there  job.  Phil knows what he is doing, he is easy to talk to, responds to your calls  calls if there is a delay, has fair prices and best of all he doesn't cause big damage trying to fix a small repair.  He's good!

I used Phillip Solomon Electric to fix the major problems caused by another electrician.  Phillip is a decent, knowledgeable and reliable guy with a great work ethic and character to do things right, his prices were fair, and he always wants to do right by his customers.  I had no problem contacting him, or him contacting me, if he was going to be late or if he was running late. He always made a great effort to make things right, and to be sure we were safe in our home.  I cannot praise him highly enough, and will always be grateful to him and his son for fixing our problems. I would not hesitate to call him again.

I have used Solomon Electric a number of times now and I have been more than delighted with the quality of work,  information I have been given and quality customer service.  
Phillip is a good guy and treats all jobs with the same diligence no matter how big or small.  After he rewired my kitchen I used him to do a few smaller jobs, put up lights and odd electrical problems I was having.  We are about to start another renovation project and Im glad I have one tradesman I can trust.  He will always do his best to reorganize his day to fit you in if you call at short notice.

The best thing about Solomon Electric is that the owner Phillip is very fair about pricing, he will break all the prices down and give you a competitive price every time.  I have had other company's give me quotes before I started using Solomon Electric but they are never so fair or honest.

I chose Solomon as I like to support our military veterans, being a military wife.  However, I have to say in the three different times that he came to my house, not one was he on-time and it wasn't until he was quite late that I was able to contact him or he contacted me.  I can totally feel for the rain causing issues (and respect that he needed to help an elderly family,....but a phone call would have been nice).  At my workplace being over two hours late because it was raining was never acceptable, and I had higher expectations for him than that.

His work was done well.

Parts of the house started loosing electricity, then we lost heat on Saturday.  It happened to be one of the colder days in San Diego ~50F.   I called up Solomon and Philip picked up the phone.  He came over immediately.  Showed me that all the breakers were burnt because the contacts were old and causing arcing.  Philip explained everything in simple terms so I understood.  Philip gave me a quote to replace the whole panel.  I told him I needed to call a few other electricians to compare quotes as it was a lot of money.  He said no problem, and left.  I got two other quotes that were both about $400 more than his quote.  I texted him back to see if he still would do it and how soon he could.  Philip agreed and showed up at 8am on Sunday with his adult son to do the work.  AMAZING!  Nothing better than feeling the heat kick on when it's 55F in your house.  Good to see family businesses and passing on vocation to your children.

I called on a Saturday afternoon thinking I wouldnt be able to get anyone out until Monday, but Philip was able to come within an hour with no additional 'emergency' fees.  He was able to diagnose and fix my GFI outlet issue right away and with great customer service. Very honest and fair pricing,  I would highly recommend Solomans Electric, and will definitely be calling again if any other problems arise in the future.

I have had Phil and his son work on several electrical projects ranging from installing overhead lighting to adding circuit breakers and installing whole house and ceiling fans.  They always do a great job, are very reasonable with regard to cost, and are just genuinely nice guys who don't mind explaining the intricacies of electricity.  I would highly recommend them to anyone and will continue to call them for my future electrical needs.

I am a small business owner here in San Diego.  I had Solomon Electrical Services wire my entire store.  Phillip is the most professional contractor I've had the chance to work with.  He wired an entire 15,000 square foot supermarket for me in a matter of a couple of weeks.  Everything from complex refrigeration systems, a 10 computer network, 18 camera surveillance system, you name it.  Phillip is not one of these guys out there looking to over quote a job then cut corners.  He has integrity and calls things as he sees them.  There's no sugar coating, just honest advice, and friendly professional service.  Some of these guys out there quoted me outrageous prices for the supermarket job.  Solomon has extremely competitive pricing, and works really fast.  I've since had him install recessed lighting in my apartment, and he has done complete remodels in my brother's and sisters houses after that.  I would highly recommend him to anyone.  This guy is the real deal.
