We had two plumbing related issues: a running toilet and a stopped up catch basin/storm drain. We looked for someone to help on Yelp and were happy to find someone who could help us with both. Chris responded promptly to my Yelp query with specific price and scheduling information.

On site, Chris was great. He helped us address both issues and gave us clear and transparent information about what our situation was with respect to each issue. The storm drain issue took some effort and persistence to address and Chris hung in there with us to get it cleared, even though we didn't have a lot of information to help him know what we were dealing with.

We will definitely call on him again for any plumbing related needs and appreciate that Yelp helped us connect with him.

Chris is an excellent plumber. He came to our house quickly and unclogged a bathroom sink that our handyman couldn't fix. He just knew exactly what needed to be done. He used his equipment and showed us the roots that were causing the clog. He explained everything and instructed us on what we can do to prevent future clogs. Asked for a quote on yelp for our leaking washer hose and received many responses from a lot of businesses the same night.
But Chris from Roma Rooter was straight forward with his price and very professional and fit us in his schedule right away!

When he arrived (right on time) was friendly,professional and also knowledgeable and gave us a ton of helpful tips to keep our water hose from getting clogged again.

Chris originally came out because toilets and tubs were backing up. I called on a Sunday left a message. He texted back that same day. I thought that it was his day off so I wasn't expecting a reply until the next day! We scheduled a time for Monday and he kept good communication. He was nice and explained a lot of stuff from the problem to maintenance. Problem was fixed. Until 4-5 days later I was back to square one with everything backed up again. This time I had a family member sick with the c word. So obviously Chris wouldn't be able to come in. He said in order to figure out the problem he would have to come in so he could diagnose but he couldn't because of my situation. I asked if he had guarantees on his work and he replied quickly and then offered to just run the pipes again without coming in. I can only hope that this second time can get me through until my house is free of c so if it happens again he can come inside. My pipes are not ideal and the types of toilets I have don't make it any better. So if you're in the market for a new toilet make sure it will work well with your piping! (I could be the only one with this problem though).
Anyway, I am very appreciative that he is coming back (within 20 mins of my first text to him). I couldn't just go to a hotel (because of c) or use anyone else's toilet as well. I was stuck and I didn't know what to do (I have a family with 2 kids). Thank you Chris for helping me and my family. I will be sure to recommend your services to others.

We needed an emergency snaking when someone flushed baby wipes down our toilet and we lost flushing capability .

Chris went above and beyond to help us diagnose a complex problem with our toilet. Unlike many of the larger companies that quoted us pricey projects without even clearly diagnosing the problem, Chris took the time to thoroughly understand the possible causes and help us try different troubleshooting methods even before we booked him for a house call. I selected Romo Rooter because he was local and not associated with a major chain. Chris is, in fact, an independent operator. He was very responsive and was on time arriving later the morning that I called. He had to clear a tree root clog in the main sewer line near the street from a cleanout in the side yard.

I was completely satisfied with his service - he explained what he was doing and why, and was very diligent in making sure the line was fully cleared before leaving the job. I do recommend Chris at Romo without any reservations.

My very old water heater was at the end of its life and started leaking. Talked to Chris and scheduled a time to come out and replace it. Smooth job, fair price, great to chat with. I searched and searched for a plumber when I came across Roma Rooter. The reviews were very good and I liked what they said about Chris. I requested a quote to clear two drains and Chris called back quickly and explained two different options. My husband and I liked the second one which was the Hydo jetting option. Although it was more expensive we felt that it was the best option for us. Chris came over and now we have nice clean drains that are working beautifully. The bathroom one was a little more of an issue since our house was built in 1940, Chris explained that there is corrosion inside of the pipes, but was able to clear them with a snake. After he finished we asked for a bid to put in our new bathroom faucet. It is so nice to have a plumber that we can trust. Chris is easy to speak with and explains everything to you before he starts. I myself appreciate that.

Scheduled a day and time to resolve a kitchen sink stoppage. I appreciated that Chris kept me posted as to his ETA. Greeting was friendly, and nice that he brought his own booties.

Cleaned up after the stoppage was cleared, and wasn't rushed to explain how the kitchen pipes were routed and recommended flushing Oxyclean for routine maintenance.

Called for a quote over the phone for a in sink disposer repair / replacement and he even did it with just pictures by cell, describing the issue. Thisbsaved me even more time and trouble.

He even gave tips to try to fix it which could fix the problem with his services. That was already a sign I picked the right plumber. A plumber who wants to genuinely help.

We scheduled for a few days later since it was non urgent. He was on time, even came with the needed parts and had spares for things if needed.

was kind of frantically looking for a plumber for my tenant and came across roma rooter on yelp.
i called the number and chris answered. (the only negative thing i can say is he didn't say any intro to being roma rooter, for a split second i thought i called the wrong number). anyways, he answered, knew exactly what my problem was and was able to fit me in an hour after i called. talk about speedy service!!!
he called me throughout the process, explaining to me the situation and if i was okay with paying more since the problem was more severe than he thought. i really appreciated the play by play and knowing exactly what was going on at my property.

He came and fixed my disposal and a few days later my washing machine was leaking and I called him back and while i had him I asked him if he could changed my kitchen faucet -changed the way I do dishes and clean my sink....huge game changer...like who knew something so simple can make such a great deal!!! The 40 gallon Water Heater conked out. Had to take a cold shower. A friend of mine suggested that I call a plumber friend of his. I did and he came out with a $1100 estimate for a new Water Heater. Time to look into YELP for a qualified plumber with high ratings on YELP. I called ROMA ROOTER, Inc and Chris came out. He has a vast knowledge of Water Heaters and he quickly solved the problem in just a few minutes. And Chris did not even charge me for his services!

I wish I had called Chris at Roma Rooter FIRST. After getting ripped off by another local plumbing company who couldn't (or didn't want to) clear my sewer line w/ a snake, and wanted to charge me a lot of money to Hydro Jet the line, I called Chris. He came out the next morning and cleared the root clogged sewer line (with a 200 ft. snake) in an hour - something the other company couldn't do in 2 days! Chris Perri answered his cell the first time I called him to help with a shower and toilet backup/bubbling. I called early in the morning and he accommodated me in the afternoon. I called him again in the afternoon for an update and despite him still finishing up the current job he kindly picked up his cell to let me know his ETA. I asked for him to call me again when he was going to leave that place so I could leave early from work to meet him and indeed, he called me. This is great service that is so rare these days.

Once he was working on our sewer drain he was able to unearth wads of TP, few accidental baby wipes, and more that were causing the backup using a steel snake and hydro jet. He kept at it until our problem was solved and kept a kind attitude through it all despite it pushing dinner time. I really appreciate his service, professionalism, and one-person business owner/employee model as I knew exactly who would be coming to our home that day. The gentleman you see in the photos wearing the NY Yankees T is The Man himself.

He not only fixed the problem but gave us proactive recommendations of what more dissolvable toilet papers we should try in the future so this wouldn't happen as often (although I wouldn't mind giving Chris my business when needed).

I'm just a regular home owner and can now vouch for all the 5 star reviews he has rightfully earned. Thanks Chris!

Chris is the best plumber I have ever worked with. He answered his phone live within 3 rings. He was courteous and arranged his time to come on the same day. He did not up sale anything. Just came, looked at the problems, assessed the situation and went right back to work. I am a believer!!!! I did the 10 min response time for a quote and it actually happened! Chris responded within the ten mins and showed up on the dot the next morning. He worked on my kitchen sink leak until it was fixed (1.5 hrs.) and charged me a figure I couldn't repeat because it so cheap! Okay - $12.50! C'mon! I was waiting for a three figure amount! He also asked me if I wanted to snake the drain since my water was kind of draining slowly but it was raining outside. I didn't want to do that to him. I will definitely call him in the future. I've used Chris on jobs both big and small -- from installing a kitchen faucet, cleaning out a stoppage in my kitchen and doing multiple cleanouts of my main line to the street. After he put in an in-ground cleanout after scoping my main line we found out that it was roots, and he recommended that if I used Root-X it would make his visits less frequent. Great job on all, and his recs saved me money. He's a good guy, honest and will go the last mile for you -- for me he climbed up on my roof, in a huge downpour, and did a cleanout on a slick roof. His just a laid back Honest professional guy who I have known n grown comfortable with from the first time we met in 2014. I called him last week to discuss this issue I have with my bathroom in a condo unit and he gave me a few advice what to do till he can see me (bec of it being the holiday) so he fixed one problem but the other problem was one that he tried and now I have to deal with the insurance company. I have called Chris on multiple occasions and every single time he has gotten my pipes flowing again on top of giving me advice to help prevent future clogging. The city threatened to fine me if I didn't send video proof of my pipes cleared and Chris went ahead and did the video at no extra cost. I also had a problem with my bathroom sink so he went ahead and did that at no extra cost. He's quick to reply back and was able to show up within hours everytime I needed his help. Chris returned my call in a timely manner, he was extremely knowledgeable, professional and saved me a bunch of money to boot.

Another company came by first and spent hours but could not drain my bathtub, they wanted $2200.00 to perform surgery on my foundation in order to change out the p-trap, which I later learned from Chris as I watched him perform nothing more than a mere simple (15 minutes) rooter fix.

Wow, he impressed the heck out of me and I've been handing out his card to everyone I know since that day.. ;)

Chris' pricing was reasonable @ $120 and his integrity in his line of work is indeed A RARE FIND.

I walked into my bathroom to find both the floor and the tub flooded with water. The toilet would not flush and the tub would not drain, and it became clear that this was not a problem I would be able to solve by myself. So, I hopped onto Yelp, found Roma Rooter, and gave them a call. Extremely glad I did.

Chris was able to diagnose my problem over the phone. Despite the fact that I called him at 6PM on a weekday, he drove out immediately to me, understanding that I did not have any availability the next day. He fixed my plumbing issue within 30 minutes upon arrival. Chris is pleasant and honest, and kept me thoroughly informed on the details of the problem, answering all my questions. He gave me some preventative care tips, and even offered to help down the road if I had any questions, free of charge.

Chris has been in the business for 20 years and it shows. Quality small business owners like him deserve more praise and visibility -- especially on a forum like Yelp -- so I'm more than happy to give Roma Rooter my ringing endorsement.

Chris is the real deal. Whenever we ran our shower upstairs, water would leak from the ceiling HVAC vent (what a nightmare)! Spoke to 3 different plumbers and each one said they would need to break a hole in the ceiling to see what was wrong, likely a leak from the drain line. Fine, I came to terms this would be a big expensive project. Then I called up Chris and he asked very thoughtful questions, like how old is the plumbing, based on my answer, he concluded it should not be the drain line. He thought it might be something else, but gladly decided to stop by (very last minute) and take a look. Turns out it was something completely different and the fix was quite simple. What a relief! Through the whole ordeal Chris was super friendly, and honest. He charged me something completely reasonable and even gave me a discount. So glad I called him and he came to help. He will be my go to plumber for all future jobs. Very hard to find someone so honest/reasonable/likable these days, especially a contractor/plumber. Great work and great service.

This guy was one of the most professional, and friendliest guys I've seen. My landlord brought him by the house to unclog our drain, and to put a camera into the pipe to find the point of destruction in the old, old pipes. Well, he was able to get rid of the clog, but when it came time for the camera, he told my landlord he didn't have it as it was in the shop. He was knowledgeable, and I felt that we wouldn't need his services for awhile. He gave me his card and told me to call if the pipe clogged. I would think he's our new plumber. I'm glad for that.

Chris Perri (Roma Rooter) was recommended to me by our regular plumber when he couldn't get rid of a clog with his hand-held snake. The clog was backing up both our bathrooms, most likely created by those flushable wipes which apparently are not that flushable. Anyway, Chris came by the next day and got the job done with his large motorized rooter. He even had to use a vent on our roof to get to the clog. Chris is friendly, professional and talks you through the process. No upselling or ridiculous recommendations like those folks at the larger companies.

Had problem with kitchen sink drain. Called a couple of plumbers at first and got brief quote. One of them said you can text me back to schedule appointment but when I did, this guy did not respond to my text all day. I saw Roma Rooter on Yelp and read all the positive reviews before I called Chris. Chris answered and gave me a good idea of the problem over the phone after I described to him our sink and gave me a very reasonable quote. Chris is very accommodating and came to our house the same day I called. Chris has been doing plumbing work for almost 20 years, very experienced. He did a great job in less than an hour and gave me tips on how to maintain sinks, tubs to a minimize clogging. What and what not to use for cleaning. I highly recommend Roma Rooter for any plumbing services.

For awhile now, my kitchen sink water has been running very slow. Garbage disposal grindings were backing up into the main sink. Yuk!

Very pleased with Chris Perri of Roma Rooter! Called him yesterday, scheduled for 10:00 a.m. He showed up right at 10:00. Asked some questions and determined the backup was in the main water line, not the sink plumbing. The snake couldn't push the backup so he water jetted it. The drain is clear now -- yay!

He suggested that once or twice a month fill the main sink (not the disposal sink side), half-way with warm water and two scoops of OxyClean. This should keep the drains clean and running quickly. Also, never use those drain cleaners -- that you're wasting your money and over time they corrode the pipes.

I define good service from a service as one who doesn't try to sell his customers unnecessary services. Excellent service is what Chris Perri provides.

I called Chris up for a quote on running a camera into the sewer, as recommended by a representative from the city, to see what was causing our backup flow. I followed the camera recommendation, but Chris advised me to rooter (?) instead to find the root (haha) of our problem because it would be a more cheaper alternative. He was very patient and thorough with explaining the process to make sure my mother and I were well-informed.

Very friendly person, professional, and very honest. My mother cannot stop telling me how satisfied she is with his service. I think Chris will become our go-to guy for our problematic plumbing.

I had a new toilet installed, which had water coming out from the base and my bathroom smelled like sulfur. After searching Yelp, I came across Roma Rooter, and based on the reviews, decided to call Chris. Chris stopped by on the date agreed, took his time to assess the problem, and fixed the toilet. He was honest, took his time with the repair, and left the bathroom clean. Given the amount of time he took, the price of the repair was more than reasonable. Will definitely use Roma Rooter for all my plumbing needs! Highly recommend Roma Rooter!

plumbing. The guy was quick and his rate was much less than the
bigger guys. He gave my some advice to prevent further damage and

I'm a new homeowner and just tried to get the gas turned on when the gas co man flagged 4 items, 2 as plumbing. Since it was deemed a safety issue I needed to find an honest yet reasonable plumber preferably close to home in the SGV.

Chris didn't disappoint as he came as he said he would today, a Sat shortly after the 1 PM time. He was a little confused at why there was a write up so after some investigation, he explained what must be what the gas co was looking for.

For all practical purposes, there really was no safety issue and this was independently corroborated by the worker at Smith's Hardware we went to looking for this uncommon valve that would have to be special ordered.

So though nothing physically was changed except putting back the original hose and adapter to fit the 1/2 pipe as it should, he only charged me for an hour's time although when it was all said and done including taking time to educate me about different things around the house and even advising about getting a filter to ensure a long life for my newly installed tankless water heater which he happened to notice, a $2400 job no less, he didn't leave until 4 PM, or 3 hours later!

Chris is definitely the honest, down to earth, local plumber that I was looking for and definitely won't nickel and dime for his time to explain, the way it should be. I won't be going anywhere else for my plumbing needs that's for sure. And if you get a chance to chat a little more with him you'll find out about his very unique and interesting life journey that led him to be a plumber... which explains in part why he is the way he is!

I called Chris last week and had to cancel my appointment I thought I had handle my plumbing issues. Little did I know my bathroom sink was clogged again, so here I go again I called Chris today and he came over and handle my bathroom sink in 30 mins. Had a pretty bad clog in our bathroom lavatory that was previously diagnosed as a lost cause and would require $1k in fixing. Figured that was over the top and found Roma Rooter (Cris Perri) on yelp. What a find He came in and was very persistent and thorough and finally unclogged our drain. Very honest and very informative and gave great advice...Never use store bought chemicals to unclog! It can make matters worst. Highly recommend Cris and would definitely use him again in the future.

Although I used Yelp a lot, thanks Yelper but I rarely write review BUT I have to this time as I used a few different plumber/rooter guys in the past and the results were no where close to Chris Perri. He is prompt, knowledgeable and priced just right. He also offered some useful advise and clearly explain his work along the way. Definitely a very recommended plumber.

I gave Chris a call three times, and each time he returned my calls in a timely manner. The first time I called, he gave me great advice on how to fix a plumbing issue on my own, saving me both time and money. Had a problem with our toilet, it was leaking every time we flushed. Chris came out, told us that the guy who installed the toilet didn't seal it properly. He used whatever he had to seal it for us and so far, so good. No more complaints from the downstairs neighbors. I hope he fixed the problem permanently. You never know with these things, especially when it's a sealing issue. Charged us $200

Having a good plumber is crucial. Hook yourself up with Chris and you will have that taken care of. He will tell you like it is and gets the job done. Being an Insurance Agent, I deal with plumbers all of the time. Chris is the one I trust for jobs at my own home.

Had a main line obstruction again, about the 5th time in 8 years. Chris came on time, and was friendly, yet knowlegeable and professional.
How he takes care of his equipment tells you he'll do the job right. Had this job done by other companies before who charged more, and they had beat up trucks and equipment, and were in and out in a flash.
Chris explained what he was doing and what to expect. Reasonable charge, especially for a Saturday.

Chris provided excellent service for cleaning out the blockage caused by sludge, hair and gunk. He is very honest, provides very reasonable prices (hundreds cheaper than other companies I called), and gave me tips to help maintain clear pipes.

When I called Chris on a Saturday morning, neither he or I realized how bad of a water heater problem we had at our new home. It took him much longer than he initially thought to fix the problem, but he didn't charge us for the extra time and supplies. Also, I called him after he left because we were still having problems (no fault on his part), and he picked up right away and came right back. It took a total of 7 hours and I know he had plans with family, so I really appreciate that he came out on the same day and made sure we had hot water over the weekend.

Honest, professional, very reasonable. Chris Perri has come to our rescue once again. Because we live in SFV which is out of Chris' area, we ask his services only for bigger plumbing jobs where we can book him in advance. Yesterday, he and his assistant spent about 10 hrs installing our new kichen sink faucet, kangen under sink unit, garbage disposer and reconnecting the dishwasher. We had this puzzling problem that other plumbers haven't been able to figure out for 5 years since our kitchen remodel. The air gap valve keeps over flowing when we run the dishwasher. This problem has caused us $$$$ which is why we had to redo the kitchen again 5 years after the remodel. Ruined the cabinets, the granite, big mess.. Tho everything was new, the air gap was still spilling. Chris did not leave until the problem was fixed although his 2 other customers had to wait until he got our problem fixed. We can't thank him enough! He even called today to make sure there's no leak again. You can trust this guy anytime. If you're looking for a kangen water system installer, he's an expert.
