Our goal at Purdy Plumbing & Drain is to provide professional plumbing service to every customer. We maintain a variety of accounts from homeowners to property managers and small businesses to large corporations.

HISTORY

Established in 2011.
Purdy Plumbing & Drain Opened it’s doors for business in 2011. PPD has grown substantially over the past 7 years due to the owner, Ryan’s , second to none work ethic and being able to find and keep quality employees. Purdy’s passion for all aspects of the plumbing industry is what drives him to work towards expanding the company and offering their top notch service and repair skills to everyone.

ABOUT BUSINESS OWNER

Ryan Purdue, the Founder of Purdy Plumbing & Drain Inc, is a first generation plumber and started in the trade while still in high school, working weekends and during summer with plumbers in his neighborhood. Digging trenches and performing intense manual labor to get the job done in a timely manner instilled a superb work ethic and passion for the trade. Once out of high school, Ryan started working for a new construction plumbing firm and learned the ins and outs of the trade from ground work to top out. The housing boom began to dry up so Ryan, who needs to stay busy, decided to move into the service and repair sector of the trade, though still slow at the time, was more consistent than new construction. After 8 years in service and repair, Ryan acquired his state license (959976) and opened for business in early 2011. Now, almost 8 years later, PPD INC has expanded into a fully licensed company with a solid base, ready for more growth.

At one time I would have given Purdy Plumbing & Drain a 5 star review. I use plumbers a few times a month to repair rentals and inspect homes for my clients. The last few times I used Purdy they missed some very important issues and were not very responsive costing my clients extra time and money to re-repair issues.

We had a potentially very stressful situation with a clogged kitchen sink and water coming out of our floorboards. Purdy plumbing was amazing! Andy and Angel came and knew exactly what to do! Andy was incredibly thorough and patiently answered all questions. They went above and beyond to not only fix the problem, but also follow with great referrals and excellent clean up. The front desk (Nicole) was also fantastic at always responding right away to questions. This will definitely be my to go plumber.

Found good reviews for Purdy Plumbing.  Was able to schedule a free estimate the following day.  Andy was prompt and was able to determine the issue.  Quoted a price and was able to complete the job on site.  Quick and easy with no up sale.  Would recommend and use them again.

Over the past 18 months I used Purdy Plumbing 2 x's for emergency water leaks at my mother's home in Fullerton. Both water leaks required immediate attention. On each occasion, Purdy sent Chris to repair the leak. As a homeowner for 35 years, Purdy Plumbing is the most honest, reliable, and provides the best service and workmanship of any plumbing contractor. I highly recommend Purdy Plumbing and will continue to use Purdy Plumbing for all my plumbing needs.

Really happy with Purdy's service. I needed to have pressure regulator installed, and Purdy's was able to squeeze me in on the same day! The plumber arrived right on time, and finished the job in an hour or so, which is less than the estimated. On the day of the service, it was also raining, but the gentleman didn't complain and was very polite. Will definitely use them again (but I hope I don't need to!)

Called Tuesday morning and informed they were booked all day will not be able to come out until next day =(
Good thing I didn't call someone else out and waited for Ryan & Chris to come out because they were GREAT! They spent the entire day (8am - 4pm) repairing our pipes and even put our shower back together so we can stop sharing the kids' bathroom!
Not only that, they noticed corrosion on our water tank pipes in the garage and repaired that too!
I don't know much about the services in this area but I think his price was very reasonable.

Purdy Plumbing and Drain is a very good company.  We've dealt with 3-4 other companies in the past and we wish we would've found Purdy much sooner.  Would've saved us thousands and time.

We've had root issues in the sewer lines and this time one of the national branded companies came out.  After jetting out the roots and uncovering one issue after another, they quoted us 3 options, with the cheapest being over $15,000.  I called around and found Purdy, a local company right here in Fullerton and Andy came out right away and gave us a second look.  Andy then gave us options with the most extensive work equaling in scope with the other company's highest level proposal but costing a lot less than the  the other company's lowest level work .  And there was no sales pressure.  Andy just showed me the pictures and told it to me as it is.

As we did the work a few small issues came up and that pushed the number of days of work from 2 to 4.  One issue is the sewer line that went into the house. I asked Andy to have the line that went into the house cleaned out by descaling it.  With a camera, we can see that the original cast iron pipe was in bad shape.  I opted for additional service and now the lines are lined and should give us trouble free use for decades.

I would highly recommend Purdy.  Service was great:  Options with reasonable prices were given.  The work was well done.  Andy finished late into the last day because one of the lining segments did not turn out satisfactory and they decided to redo a section.  They do the work right and didn't rush.  I saw the picture of the sewer lines after the work was done and wow!  I was impressed.  Some 120+ feet of lines were either lined or repiped without breaking into our decorative concrete walkway.  Should have no more root problems.

I would also highly recommend Purdy to do pre-purchase inspection of homes.  This would've saved us a lot of headaches to take care of this early.  Purdy is a local company (Fullerton) that can be trusted to do the work well and at a reasonable price.

I called today because a pipe was leaking inside the drywall of my garage. A plumber came out within the hour, was unfailingly polite, and diagnosed and fixed the source of the problem shortly after arriving (the builder had used a steel support connected to a copper pipe, causing significant corrosion.) These guys provided awesome service. I couldn't be happier with my experience.

I can't believe I haven't left a review for Purdy. We've used them for years and they never fail to provide excellent service. From the office to the plumbers, they are polite, helpful, and tenacious. They keep in touch during a job and you get updates on the plumber's arrival. I would give them 10 stars if I could.

I needed to have a toilet flange replaced due to a recent leak and Chris came out to do the job.  Chris was very knowledgeable, friendly and courteous.  He explained everything that he will do thoroughly.  He was very careful in removing the old flange and believe me, it was not an easy task.  He made sure the new flange is secured before leaving.  Chris is an awesome plumber.  I would definitely use Purdy again for my plumbing needs.

The quality of the work was excellent deserving of 5 stars. I guess prices on everything have gone up lately but I was a little surprised at how much my repair cost that's why I'll rate them 4 stars overall. I would recommend them to others and I'll call them again if more repairs are needed.

Amazing, reliable, fast service. I called around noon for a clogged toilet, they came out within an hour and helped clear the clog in about 20 minutes. Great customer service and very communicative from start until finish.

These guys are awesome!  I couldn't be happier with the work they have done, the way they conducted themselves, and the speed to get it done.....all at what I think are extremely reasonable prices!  I would recommend to anyone needing any plumbing services.    

I have used them for work at my personal residence for a number of items....unclogging drains, clearing roots out of my mainline, and installing a water softener.  They have always been great, however last week they went above and beyond....so far above and beyond it justified my first yelp review!  

To fill you in, I had a rental property which was rented to a tenant who completely trashed the place.  This condo was a complete disaster.....a site and smell I wouldn't wish on anyone in this world.  At the root of the problem was two backed up toilets.  To save everyone their lunch, I won't go into detail on how bad they were....just imagine the worst possible situation and then multiply it x 10!  I immediately called Purdy plumbing and they had someone out there that day.  I showed him how bad the situation was, and he didn't waste a single minute....just charged into action!  He had everything up and running in no time.  Couldn't believe what a wonderful job they did in such a quick amount of time.  However, what surprised me most was how positive the plumber was about the whole situation.  All I could think about was how awful this situation was, but he calmly and confidently helped me through it.  In fact he even helped me salvage the garbage disposal (tenant had somehow got a quarter rusted in it) which saved me a big chunk of money (vs. buying a new one).  Needless to say, I am completely helpful for all that Purdy Plumbing has done for me.  Give them a call if you have any plumbing needs!

Don't be fooled by the Yelp rating.

My place had some issues with water pressure and leaking in the bathroom pipes so I made an appointment with Purdy two days in advance for an inspection and quote.  They asked me for two hour window of time as they may run a few minutes and for thorough inspection.  My husband and I took time off of work for this inspection and the plumber did not show up!  We waited for an hour and called them numerous times but no pick up or a call to let us know that they were running late.  We couldn't wait any longer and went back to work.  They called me 1.45 hours later and asked where I was. They wasted our time and were they trying to do the inspection within 15minutes?! This is absolutely unprofessional and I bet even a plumbing company with less than three star rating wouldn't be as bad as this.

I have had 4 or 5 different plumbers come over the past 14 to 15 months to examine the issues I had regarding the main sewer line connecting to the city line. As a homeowner for the past 5 years there is nothing I value more then honesty from specialists providing services, and Robert and the owner have been amazing. Their pricing is competitive and I couldn't be more satisfied with their help. I will be using them going forward for all my plumbing issues. These folks were absolutely outstanding. Customer service, timeliness, cleanliness and knowledge. Andy came in,evaluated,gave us two options for drain cleaning. He worked hard and didn't stop until the job was done. Price was competitive. All in all,after a couple bad experiences, restored my faith in plumbers.

After wrangling with an auger and attempting to clear out our kitchen/laundry lines for the third time, I decided it was time to call a professional for a reliable solution. Alan and Joseph showed up with the right tools and attitude to get the job done. They were extremely professional and knowledgeable. Alan took the time to walk me through what he was doing each step of the way and patiently answered all of my questions. He was honest and upfront about what work needed to be done and what all my options were without being pushy. He and Joseph also took care to clean up after themselves and ensure the mess that was made from cleaning out the pipes was gone before they left. 5 stars for stellar, friendly service! I'll definitely be using Purdy again.

I have a restaurant in Huntington Beach and I've used Purdy Plumbing and Drain for as long as hes been in business. Ryan Purdue is one of the most honest people Ive ever met in his profession. His work is exemplary, on time, and always fair. He's replaced the piping under my dish sink, most recently my water heater, and is always quick to snake my drain in an emergency. He's never tried to over sell me, and has always gave me options pertaining to the job he was doing. IE you can wait on this, or you really need to fix this.  I couldn't be happier with his work and professionalism. As long as Im in business he'll always have business with me. I highly recommend him as a plumber.

I don't know a whole lot about tankless water heaters and after trying a few things, I decided it was time to call a plumber.

I shopped around about six different plumbers who gave me close to the same answer, except for Ryan at Purdy. I work with pipelines, large ones so theoretically I'm familiar with what to expect. I described in as much detail what was going on, hoping to eliminate the guess work of a plumber showing up, diagnosing the problem, charging the diagnoses and then charging me again for any repairs. The 5/6 plumbers said they needed to come out and see it first. But Ryan, wrote me back and told me what he thought would be and could be wrong with it. Straight forward, no BS, honest and truth! What he responded with made sense and I was more than happy to make a schedule. Hey, I rather you try your best, be honest, and if you're wrong, that's fine, at least you made the effort!

Upon arrival, he was right on the dot, he flushed out the tankless and gave me the low down and on what needs to be worked on. I learned a few things for myself, because he was so detailed in explaining the schematics of the piping system.

Real cool cat, I had the pleasure of getting to know Ryan. Also, I'm proud to say I found myself a permanent plumber. I definitely wouldn't consider going anywhere else. Customer service at its best!!

This was my first time hiring Purdy Plumbing. There was plenty to like...

So I needed a new water pressure regulator, and asked for a price quote for the exact size I needed, via Yelp. Now Yelp is very nice because you can ask multiple plumbers for a quote at the same time, then decide who to go with. However I don't choose based on price alone, because reviews matter to me.

So several plumbers quoted me between $200 and $250, it's only a $50 part. In fact Purdy said We charge $250!. So after evaluating all the responses I choose Purdy, even through there were lower offers. I even supplied photos of the existing regulator, they had all the info.

Now I will say that the plumber, Nadal, that came was very nice and professional. He also showed up on time, which is also very nice. And he cleaned up everything after the replacement, which was nice as well. He was smart and knew what he was doing! We did have a slight miscommunication on the cost, but Ryan made sure I was only charged what they quoted me.

Oh and he wouldn't come in the house without booties on. That's always a plus in my book, a sign of professionalism.

Also it was very convenient to schedule, and they were available the next day.

I need some other plumbing fixes, I think I'll use them again next time.

Wow! Andy was AWESOME. In and out in like 45 mins. We had a leaky toilet and knew the wax ring needed to be replaced. They quoted me over the phone prior to Andy's arrival. When he got here he was polite, quick, and best of all our toilet is leaky free! I was very scared about calling a plumber because I had heard so many horror stories. Do yourself a favor and call Purdy. 5 stars!!!

I recommend Purdy plumbing for getting any of your plumbing needs. Ryan was very helpful on the phone and able to help out during an emergency. Ritchie came out in a hurry was very professional and able diagnose find the leak and fix it. For any plumbing issues I would have Ritchie come and fix the problem.

We had a clogged bathroom drain and after calling several companies for quotes, decided to go with Purdy Plumbing since they were the only one available in the evening. I spoke to Nicole on the phone and appreciated that she was able to provide an exact amount instead of an estimate range.

On the day of the appointment, Chris and his partner called before arrival. They were very courteous and wore disposable booties prior to entering the house. The whole process took about 45 minutes, with Chris explaining what had caused the clog and how to prevent it in the future.

I hope we won't need a plumber again anytime soon, but now I know which reliable company to call.

So thankful I found Purdy Plumbing shortly after buying my first home as I've repeatedly needed a reliable and honest plumber over the last 4 years. Ryan has always been very fair and the quality of his team's work is outstanding. Purdy previously replaced our main sewer line after hydro-jetting and scoping of the old line revealed it was completely rotted out under the slab, then we called them back about a year later to re-pipe essentially the entire house after a leak above the ceiling created significant water damage. We recently called them to diagnose and repair a burst pipe under our front sidewalk. Nicole answered the phone quickly on a holiday and Ryan came out the next morning to complete the repair. I can't recommend Purdy enough!

So so so happy with these guys! Ryan was so professional from start to finish, keeping me very well-informed the whole way.

I knew after meeting Ryan (and chatting for at least 40 minutes) that he's an honest and trustworthy guy. He sent Chris, an awesome tech, to do the bulk of the work - a fairly complex job involving trenching from the garage to the main line so I can relocate my washing machine to the garage.
This wasn't a cheap job but Ryan gave me a very fair price considering how much work, thought, time, and detail they put into it.

I'd use Purdy again in a heartbeat and there are few plumbers or other contractors I could say that about.

I contacted Purdy through Yelp and they responded very quickly to setup an appointment. The technician came promptly (earlier than the appointment time...I feel it's rare if someone shows up on time nowadays!) and was very professional. He quickly diagnosed my kitchen sink issue. He was very knowledgeable and easy to talk to. I asked a lot of questions and he was very helpful. I would definitely recommend Purdy Plumbing to anyone and will be using them again in the future for all of my plumbing needs!

Ryan is an honest and knowledgeable plumber.  Very hardworking and knows his trade as you can see from all the positive reviews which is great but also can be a drawback as he gets so busy that sometimes it's hard to acquire his services.  I always call them first and if they cannot help out especially in emergency situations then I have to go to one of my back up plumbers.

Chris was prompt to arrive and was short and to the point of what needed to be fixed underneath my kitchen sink. Prior to calling Purdy, I had attempted to unclog my kitchen sink by removing the P-trap and trap extender, only to find that there was an additional extender going to the stub out to the wall. The extender was so brittle that when I re-connected the trap extender pipe it crumbled to pieces. The extender was so corroded that it fused with the iron piping at the stub out. I was unable to back out the lock nut and pull out the extender. Chris was able to get it out, but in the process, accidentally cracked a part of the iron pipe at the stub out. He removed the cracked portion and installed a no-compression extender that made the stub out plastic, as coming out of the wall, and installed a brand new P-trap system. He was so honest that he let me know up front of what happened and that he would fix it on-the-spot without any additional costs. The work was done in about an hour and he offered me a 1 year warranty on the work. Additionally, he quoted me for additional work to re-plumb (remove) an older figure 4 drain assembly and replace it with a more modernized system. The price estimate seemed reasonable. I was satisfied with this experience.

This was my first experience with a plumber other than the big ones (Roto Rooter, Mike Diamond, etc), and I can honestly tell you all that going with the smaller guys has its benefits -honest work and potential cost savings. I would recommend Purdy to folks nearby Fullerton, Placentia, Anaheim and Yorba Linda areas.

O.M.G. if I could give this company 10 stars I would. We are so glad we found this reliable company.

We were trying to get all things on our list completed in order to get our condo sold. One included getting a water heater strapped. They came out right away. The first guy said we didn't need it. He confirmed with his manager and his buddy and there was no charge!

Our realtor said we needed it afterall. We called Purdy and they put us on a priority list and came back out within the next day or so. They charged us only for the part.

Chris was very professional and checked a leak under our sink for no extra charge. He explained every little thing he was doing in layman's terms so we understood. He was quick, efficient, and super friendly.

In the end my realtor wanted something in writing from them confirming the strap work they completed was okay - they only used 1 strap instead of 2. They went above and beyond and said they had approval from the city to do what they did and they put that in writing with no complaint. They are super prompt with their emails / calls / feedback.

They are soooo easy to work with. I recommend them 100% and would definitely use Purdy again!

Our termite inspector notified me there was a leak under the house so of course I wanted it fixed ASAP.  I lost time while trying to get ahold of my regular plumbers who never called me back. Finally I gave up and looked on Yelp to find Purdy Plumbing. With out my even asking for emergency service, Purdy called me back immediately and came when it was convenient for me. The work was completed within three hours and at a fair price by Chris who made no complaint when he had to go under the house and work in a very small dirty crawlspace. I now  have my new go to plumbers. Thank you Purdy Plumbing!

Called Purdy Saturday morning as our regular plumber was out of town- Ryan showed up about an hour later and did a remarkable job cleaning out our main line. Everything works like a charm. Very professional and I'd recommend Purdy to anyone who needs a great plumber.

They found a way to squeeze me in between appointments on same day notice. Chris was my technician and his service and professionalism was top notch!! The pricing was as fair as it gets. We had a gas leak with the fireplace and was told by SoCal gas that the wall would need to be removed for the repair. Chris was able to fix it in 15 minutes without any kind of demolition. Highly recommend for quality of customer service, price, and efficiency!!

Called them out to unclog a toilet and was very happy with the service.

First off, they answered the phone right away...usually a good sign. They then set an appointment after we described the problem and quoted an estimate.

The technician showed up right on time, donned protective covers for his shoes and examined the problem. He then went to his truck, retrieved the necessary equipment and the clog was removed in minutes.

He was polite, well dressed, and the final invoice was exactly what the estimate was.

Very professional at every stage of the transaction. Would definitely recommend to others.

We recently sold our home and the buyer's inspector said our water heater and garbage disposal had leaks. Chris came out and gave us a free estimate. The cost to repair our water heater was very reasonable, compared to 2 other quotes I got. Also, Chris thoroughly inspected our garbage disposal and found no leaks, so he saved me money there because he was honest about it not needing repairs. He was professional, courteous and even took the time to explain everything he was doing. I would definitely recommend Purdy Plumbing!

We needed our cleanout emptied because our main had clogged. Andy came out during the time window that we'd been given when we called this morning. He really knew his stuff and was thorough--no shortcuts or guessing, which was nice. He listened to us (we've been dealing with our cleanout for a few years now, so we have backstory that's usually helpful to the plumbers who come to help us with it) and gave us our options and then got to work. He worked diligently and explained what he was doing every step of the way, even showing us what he saw on the camera and answering any of our questions while he worked. We appreciated Andy's hard work getting our system back in working order.

No ups, No extras, Same Day Great Service

So I called 4 of the top Plumbers on Yelp including Purdy.
One called back quickly but immediately alerted me that houses built in the 70s needed larger drain pipes and that he would charge hourly for that. While I appreciate the input, ups and extras usually don't happen until service guys show up, right? He also should have considered it's been draining with no issues since the 70s. Oh well... he's out!

Another called back several hours later and I informed them that I already had committed to a plumber. They informed me they were too busy any way. Their out for future business with that attitude!

Purdy calls back and I'm nervous thinking they all might be up-selling with attitude these days. NOT SO with Purdy and they even gave me a small discount as I found them on Yelp. They came out the same day, on-time and snaked the drain and it's working great!

Purdy Plumbing replaced our main gas line in the front of our house. They coordinated meetings with the City of Fullerton inspectors and SoCal Gas. They are an honest hardworking company with good prices! I will use them again!! 5 stars!!

Third time we've had them out. Very professional and don't try and talk you into things you don't need. When we first bought a house and had a problem we didn't know who to call, so my husband called roto rooter. The plumbing didn't get reemed nearly as much as we did.  4,500.00 for practically nothing. These guys came out and spent the entire day and didn't charge us nearly 1/2 that and did a ton of work. They are awesome and hire great guys to do the work. They clean up after themselves nicely too. Highly recommend

I guess I can't really add much to all the positive reviews here, but I'll try. After moving into our new house, we started having blockages after only a week. Ryan came out promptly and gave me a detailed quote. (I called a few others out. One only gave me a verbal estimate and wouldn't come out to give me a written estimate. The other came out and said he would send me an estimate, but he never did.)

Being local, Ryan was able to give me a knowledgeable recommendation on what route to take with the repair. He advised to repair two spots instead of replacing all the pipes, which another company had advised doing. (This saved a lot of $!)

The repair took the guys only two days. They had to dig two large holes but saved my grass and even my flowers (replanting afterwards). Everything has been great since. I highly recommend these guys!

I wish I can give more than 5 stars if Yelp allow me to. A experience with Purdy was unbelievably amazing!

We had a leaking problem at kitchen sink for several weeks and a plumber we used to work with was not showing up for 3 weeks. As soon as we called Purdy, we were regret that we didn't call them in the first place.

Chris P., our technician, was most polite, meticulous, proficient technician we ever met. He was a first technician who wears shoe covers in our house (in Asian culture, we don't wear shoes in the house and other plumbers always left their footmarks all over the place.), a first technician who mopped the floor completely after work is done (AMAZING!!! It was so clean, I didn't even have to retouch it.) and a first technician who honestly charge the payment (during the work, he was out for about 20 minutes to get a part and he subtracted that amount of time cost). I wanted to give him some tip, but he politely refuse to take it and said it is his duty to make his customer happy. How can you not loving this guy and his company!!! After this amazing service, I can't think of any other plumber company but Purdy.

I am purchasing a new home and the home inspector noted that one of the toilets needed to be serviced.  The seller ensured me that he had taken care of it, but I wanted a professional to take a look before moving forward.  So my agent found Purdy on Yelp and made an appointment for the next day, a Saturday morning.  On the day of the appointment, Ryan (the owner of the business) showed up and did a thorough inspection of not just the toilet that was flagged but also of the rest of the homes plumbing.  He spent over an hour testing and making sure that the rest of the drains were also properly working.  When he was done, he offered to waive the service fee (which wasn't even that much tbh) but we paid him anyways since we were pleased with his work.  Good to have found a reliable plumber in Anaheim that I can call upon when plumbing services are needed.

So we had a clogged kitchen sink drain, and another guy that was recommended to me came out and worked on it, snaking it several times -- from the roof as well. Not to mention he left sludge and grease stains all over our cabinets and let it drip all over or wood floors. 6 unsuccessful hours later he said he couldn't clear it and it would take a hydrojet. As he was cleaning up I called purdy after finding them on yelp. They sent Chris out one hour after the call and he was totally confident he could clear it by snake alone. Less than an hour later the drain was clear and the job was done! Not to mention he was totally courteous, educated me along the way and also laid out towels and kept it really clean. Will be calling them again if we have a plumbing problem for sure.

By far, this has been the best home repair experience I've ever had :)

Ryan was on time for both the estimate and the work. He's courteous, personable, there was no loud music or yelling, and he left my place as clean as he found it.

His rates are super competitive (I had several other estimates), and he doesn't try to sell you services you don't need. He checks and rechecks to make sure everything is working properly before he leaves.

He even did some minor repairs at no charge. How many repairmen would do that?!

I highly recommend Purdy Plumbing and Drain (I'd give them 10 stars if I could!); I'm using Purdy for ALL my plumbing needs!!

Amazing work by Chris P.! I was very fortunate to have come across Purdy Plumbing on Yelp!
I just moved to the area and needed my main bath  shower fixtures: shower head, valve, drain and diverter replaced ASAP.
I hired Atlas Plumbing a week prior to fix the water line to my refrigerator and requested a quote for the bathroom work. This company initially quoted me double the price for connecting the water line. When I told them I wasn't interested.... he dropped the price in half. They never reached out to me with the estimate for the bathroom work. When I finally called, again they hit me with a ridiculously overpriced quote. Needless to say I didn't hire them for the job.

I found Purdy Plumbing on Yelp and they sent a plumber, Chris, to give me an estimate for the work. Chris was on time, professional, clean and very direct. He gave me a fair priced quote and did an AMAZING job. He also added an access panel for future access if needed. Chris was friendly, did a professional job and cleaned up afterwards.

I have been dealing with lots of plumbers, electricians, painters and other contracted service companies during the sell of my old place and the purchase of the new home. Chris was top notch! If I ever need additional work.... I'll definitely be requesting his services again. Very satisfied customer.

I called Purdy Plumbing for advice and a quote to address a drain line problem with with my kitchen sink and washing machine. Ryan came over and immediately impressed me with his knowledge and his focus to address my issues and not up sell or expand the work needed.

He provided a very fair quote and start schedule. His team, shout out to Art, and he were clean, courteous and communicated every step.

The final job included replacing the kitchen 2 line, tying in the washer and sleeping the main line. Excellent work. Great people. Awesome company. Purdy Plumbing has earned all my plumbing needs going forward as will who I recommend to my friends and neighbors.

It is hard to find a good honest plumber.  Purdy came recommended to me by a co-worker who had a good experience.  I got good work at a fair price.  I didn't catch the name of the nice man who fixed ,not one, but TWO bathrooms for me.  Arrived on time, was polite, explained everything that needed to be done and gave me the cost up front.  I waited for a long time before having the work done because I was afraid of being gouged.  I am now recommending Purdy to others.

Very happy with their service. Andy was the service person that came over and he was very good. He first listened to what my problem was and then he went on the roof to put a camera in and later showed me a possible problem. He then gave me a few options with no pressure. He gave me quotes on all three, I made my decision and the office said he would be out the next day. Andy went above what he had too and he billed me what I was quoted. Very happy!

We had plumbing issue and called Purdy Plumbing. Chris came out next day and help put in water pressure reducer. He was very professional and went above and beyond to explain things to me. A week after we moved into our new place, one of our toilet was leaked, I called Purdy again and Ryan came out, he helped us resolve issue very quickly. Chris came in, hooked up the water line for my ice maker and was in and out in about 1.5 hrs. I was told to expect him between noon and 2pm and he was done before that. I was quite surprised. Work was done well and everything was explained. Very clean, and polite. Definitely recommended.

We needed a shower valve replacement and called around for a few estimates.  We got one for over $1000, and two that were for $425 labor only, $625 if parts included.  One of these more reasonable estimates came from Purdy - and in the end we went with them because: one, the other plumber wouldn't even bother coming over to look first, and would only give an estimate over the phone... and two, they've got amazing Yelp reviews!  

Chris was extremely punctual when he came over for both the estimate, as well as the job itself, and spent a lot of time doing his work with great care.  Due to a little bit of miscommunication, we had an unfinished detail that Ryan (the owner) graciously came back to complete.  He even went out of his way to offer a post-job discount to ameliorate the situation (I turned down the discount, but really appreciated the fact that he offered it!)  He, and Erin (the receptionist) are super polite, friendly, and professional, before AND after the job is done!    

We've used several plumbers at our home since we've owned it, but for various reasons (overpriced, not locally based, no common sense, etc) we've had to keep looking for someone new.  I speak from experience when I say that Purdy is a fantastic business to support because they are reasonably priced with fantastic customer service, work flexible hours, and are local!!!  Give them a try, you won't regret it.

My review will be pretty short and sweet. I'm a very hard person to please and usually do a lot of my own work myself.  I care about two thing doing a job right and not cutting corners.  I called these guys after getting home to a plugged up utility sink and drain. I left a message and got a call back in 5 min. They said they can come over ASAP and they did. They took a look advised how much got tools out and took care of it in less than an hr. Thy were super clean professional and cleaned up like nothing ever happened. Like I said I'm a hard person to wow. These guys are pros and care about their company and it shows. When it comes to the realm of plumbing and handiwork for your home, it is often a challenge to find a professional business that operates with integrity and offers workers who are competent in their expertise. Purdy Plumbing & Drain delivers on these criteria. I came across them on Yelp after the water heater at my fiance's house stopped functioning. Our decision to enlist Purdy's help was vindicated when all was said and done. Unlike other places I called that had fixed (and questionably steep) rates, this company provides free consultations in order to give you a quote for the specific problem(s) they will be addressing. They scheduled an appointment for us right away and gave us a courtesy call prior to coming out. Chris was the technician we worked with, and he successfully replaced the pilot assembly for the water heater. We are grateful for his service because needless to say, it has not been the most pleasant experience making do without access to hot water. A couple noteworthy points: 1) Chris made it known that we would not be charged a dime if he wasn't able to rectify our issue - regardless of the amount of time he spent trying - and  2) he took the time to put covers on his shoes before entering to avoid dirtying the house. Ultimately we are satisfied customers of Purdy Plumbing & Drain and will not hesitate to use them in the future or refer them to others.

I don't have a good impression. I checked Yelp, 5 star reviews. Open 24 hours. I called and issue #1, their voicemail was full. The message gave another number to text, so I did. Issue #2 It's been 24 hours and I have yet to hear back from them. Not a good way to run a business. I just finished up with Robert from Purdy Plumbing. I contacted Purdy Plumbing after not getting a response from my go-to plumber.  They returned my call promptly at business open the following day. Ryan Purdy and Purdy Plumbing are the best plumbers ever. Called to request a quote for a gas leak situation.  Spoke to Nicole who was very professional and super nice.  She asked to call me right back with appointment availability.  She called back in 5 minutes to let me know someone would be out to my home within an hour.

Art showed up on time.  He explained the testing process to determine where the gas leaks were coming from.  The testing took the exact amount of time he said it would. He provided me with a very fair pricing quote to fix the gas leaks.  He also emailed the quote to me via email which was great!  We agreed to have the work done with Purdy and Art the following day.

Art left me a text prior to the appointment time to let me know he was on the way.  His level of customer care was  FANTASTIC!  He explained everything in detail!  The job was completed in a very timely manner. The price was exactly the amount quoted. GREAT JOB!!  I will be using Purdy Plumbing from now on!!  Good help is hard to find and I thank you!!!

Ryan from Purdy Plumbing in Fullerton is my plumber of choice.   Big job, small job - all get the same professional, courteous treatment .
How many plumbers do you know who actually put on booties so as not to track in any dirt?  Purdy Plumbing does just that.  I have had them out three times in the last six months.  Drains cleaned out, new garbage disposal installed, leaking shower head fixed - all quickly and efficiently done at fair prices.   I would recommend them for any plumbing repairs or installations and they are local to north Fullerton.

Ask the office what the initial service call will cost before Purdy arrives so you can see whether you want to pay their price!  We had received quotes of $85 & $95 for drain clearing but went with Purdy due to Yelp rating.  I made the appt. without asking for any initial quote from Purdy's office. When the plumber showed up, he told us the cost would be $120 to start for drain clearing, couldn't figure out how to open the side gate for access to backyard, & ended up leaving without performing any work due to my hostile attitude.  Yes, I get pissed when I think someone's trying to take advantage of the situation, so ask for the service quote before deciding whether you wish to pay Purdy's charges.  I think not.  This is not a case of you get what you pay for; a new, highly recommended  plumber is enroute for $85 & $50/hr. thereafter.

I can't say how pleased I am with Chris and Purdy Plumbing. They have come out to my rental property twice for some major issues and Chris was very professional, reliable, fair and honest. Being an out of state landlord, and not there to see them do the work, I needed someone who would really walk me through what they were doing and that I could trust. Chris made sure to only communicate with me and run every decision by me and not my tenant. Ryan was great. He came out cleared my kitchen sink stoppage. He spent two hours working to get it cleared. It was not a easy job and he didnt give up. Ryan did not charge more due to being more complicated of a job. He kept to the price he quoted over the phone. Ryan is a great and works hard. Used these guys 4.5 years ago to snake my main drain to the street, since they were here I added the kitchen drain for a nominal add on fee. I brought them back again this month for the hydro jet treatment of both drains, they fed a cable camera the entire length and my pipes look practically like new so I don't think I need to worry about a clog for quite a few years. Purdy Plumbing is legit, great service, competitive pricing, no run around or BS. Thank you Ryan and the Purday team.

From beginning to end, Ryan Purdue was the epitome of professionalism. I have dealt with several plumbers before and Ryan is amongst the best I have worked with.

A new home in Fullerton/Placentia was purchased and the inspector recommended that all galvanized water supply lines be converted to copper piping. The reason being was it was only a matter of time before galvanized pipes would begin to corrode and be rendered ineffective. Low water pressure is what spurred me to begin looking towards repiping. Ryan showed up on time, put booties on when indoors and on the first day, suited up and inspected the piping below the house to give a more accurate estimate. The pricing was reasonable and I knew I didn't want to go cheap on such an important element of a house. I knew I wasn't dealing with just any other plumber when I saw the 5-year guarantee. How many plumbers have that much confidence in their workmanship?

The project took 4 days. Ryan started at 8am and ended his day at 6-7pm. Those are long laborious hours and at the end of the day, Ryan would give me an update. He still was able to laugh and smile even after putting in 10-11 hours of hard work. The PEX/copper repiping was beautiful. Even the third-party dry wall contractors who stopped by to bid on follow-up dry wall work commented on how well the tubes were secured onto 2x4 foundations. They described it as textbook plumbing job and couldn't have been done better.

At the end of the day, Ryan takes great pride in plumbing and it reflects in his product. I am fortunate to have had the chance to work with him and his team.

Excellent service,on time, had a cleaned out main line within three hours after calling Purdy. Pricing was reasonable, especially since the tech hydro jetted the line. He checked the line several times with the camera to make sure he got the roots causing the problem. Will call Purdy for future plumbing needs!

Wow. woke up yesterday to a slow running drain and toilet in my downstairs bathroom. Same bathroom had backed up a few months ago leaving the tub and toilet completely covered in sewage. Didn't want to let it happen again. Called a different company first, had remembered their radio commercial. One of the $99 smell good plumbers. They showed up early this morning. Told me that it was most likely a clog in the main drain of the house but because my clean out was inside my laundry room (room connected to the back of my garage) they didnt feel comfortable opening the clean out and causing damage to my floor. So I turned to YELP

Found Purdy Plumbing at the top of the list in my area. Read great reviews.

Low and behold they lived up to all their praise.

I left a message at 1030am and Ryan called back around 11. He was on another gig. I gave him the low down over the phone. He told me he could unclog it for $99.

What we thought would be a simple job turned into Ryan snaking the main with two different augers for 2 hours! Gave us recommendations on how to fix the problem permanently along with a quote and still after a grueling two hours he still only charged us $99! Most plumbers would have added much more because the job was more difficult than described! I will not be using any other plumber on my houses. Thanks Ryan!

I had an excellent experience with Purdy plumbing. There was a slab leak in my home, and Ryan came out and diagnosed the issue quickly. He fixed the problem with expertise, and it was solved much quicker then I thought, within a day. There was a problem with the kitchen water pressure, and Ryan came back, and worked at it until it was completely fixed. He also noticed an electrical issue under the sink, and attended to that as well.

Purdy is a wonderful, truth worthy company. They care about their clients, and their clients, and so great work. I highly recommend them.

Fast and friendly service. I called in around 9:45, and they had the guy out here at 10:45. Keep in mind that their $45 drain unclog isn't for any drain unclog as advertised, but for drains with an outside access. If they go inside your home, it's quite a bit more. Luckily for me, I had one for my kitchen sink. Thanks for the good service!

Chris came over to my tenant's townhouse to check a leaky shower and quoted us for $475 to replace the valves, solder a new piping to the shower. I basically just asked him if he can itemized the cost. Basically how much the parts itself and the labor cost and see if I can compare to other plumbers. He got defensive and said I was being rude for saying that??? What the ...? It's a standard question. All he can answer was that is the basic package and he can't give me the price of the parts yet because he doesn't know it. Then how can you give me a price of $475 and not know the price of the parts? And he immediately said I will hand the phone back to the tenant and not work on this job. And he will bill me $85 for coming over and analyzing the problem. I understand that fee but I just had to ask my tenant if that was ever disclosed to him and he said no. I asked Chris (the plumber) if he ever disclosed that $85 dollars to my tenant before starting the job and he said no. So I asked him; why are you charging $85 now? He immediately just hang up the phone and left.

Amazing service and very friendly customer service as well. I have been battling with our HOA plumber for weeks but one quick call with Purdy Plumbing and they come out to fix our clogged tub in 15 minutes without having to access the drain from another point. I would definitely call Purdy Plumbing again due to their professionalism and knowledge.

I called Purdy Plumbing and Drain for an estimate for a renovation project involving plumbing.  I've called multiple contractors and handymen for this project, and while Ryan was the first plumber from whom I've received an estimate, really there is no comparison in terms of professionalism.  Plus, he's just an all around nice guy.  With most of the other contractors, some showed late, or came at a different time (one said he'd be there at 2 pm, never called, then showed at 4:30).  Some said they'd send estimates and never did.  Ryan showed up on time, was super nice, and incredibly informative.  He's actually been out to our home twice, once to hear about the plumbing related to the reno, and once to scope our drains to better be able to provide an accurate estimate for the project.  Once he scoped the drains, he sent an estimate within a few days.  

When he came to scope the drains, he brought another Ryan.  Together, they were totally cool with me hovering to see what our drains looked like.  Ryan explained everything we looked at and made me feel really confident both in his abilities as a plumber, and also as a sort of homeowner educator.  I couldn't have asked for more as a new homeowner who wants to understand everything. Ryan and Ryan were super nice, and extremely patient when my curious 5 year old first unplugged the monitor for the scope, then, came out to check out the drains on the monitor, and proceeded to run back to the bathroom, and, well, give us something to see in the pipes.  I was embarrassed, and rather than being annoyed, Ryan and Ryan laughed it off and told my son he figured out how the drains worked.

I don't have experience with other plumbers, but I can say I would recommend Purdy to anyone who needs a plumber.  Oh!  And I found them on Yelp.  They really do deserve all those stars.

If I go with Purdy's estimate for the plumbing work for our renovation, I will be sure to follow-up with additional feedback.

Honest and reliable.  Purdy technician came out and did 2 hr tankless water heater flushing and we got hot water!  Another company sent a technician out, did nothing and proceeded to say that we would need an entire new water filtration system in order to get hot water back, for $8500.

This review is LONG overdue. We found Purdy Plumbing through its incredible Yelp rating. Since Day 1, we have been impressed with their service. We have had faucets and garbage disposals replaced, our entire plumbing system replaced (our house is 1950s and had the original), and various clogs fixed over the years. They are timely and professional. They are also reasonable with how much they charge. We will never use anyone else unless Purdy goes away. This is a top-notch group of folks.

I called Purdy because of all the Yelp love and was not disappointed. Chris was prompt and diagnosed the situation, wrote up an estimate, and gave some great advice. I appreciate the way Chris takes the time to explain what he is doing every step of the way. He also left my under-sink area way nicer than he found it. Purdy is our new plumber and can't wait to use them when we build our garage in a couple of months. I'm happy to support a great local business like Purdy. I had Purdy come over and replace my leaking kitchen faucet sink. Erin gave me a fair price over the phone and booked a 2 hour window period at ny convenience to have my faucet replaced. Chris called one hour before my appointment time asking permission to come over early, if possible. I was completely happy to hear that which is unusual these days. Chris did an excellent job to replace my faucet. He needed an extra part for the installation which he included in the quoted price a few days early. Chris was very respectful, knowledgeable and professional. Thank you guys for a job well done. Will use them again in the future.

Ryan was AWESOME!  He helped us BIG TIME by finishing a remodel fast!  The poor guy had to fix all the hacked jobs from the previous so called plumber.  He did it RIGHT!!!!  He even found a tiny finish nail leak in our base board, that the flooring guy hit by accident. That leak would of costs $1000's  if he did not discover it.  It was a 1/2 from being a slab leak!  I highly recommend Purdy Plumbing for any plumbing problems!  Great Job! Great Company!!

I guess it seems redundant to rave about Purdy, but I want people to know they're the real deal. Ryan was very professional, patient, and on time. We've used three different plumbing companies over the past decade, so I was losing hope that there were any really good plumbers out there, but Purdy restored my faith. He fixed a slow leak in our faucet, and the hot/cold handles work SO much better now! He had to pull our pedestal sink off its base to get into the inner workings of the faucet, but never complained about it, and got the work done. We will definitely be using Purdy again.

I used these guys before and got good service. So I called them again to look at a slow drain. The technician was Josh and he zeroed in on the problem pretty quickly. He explained the repair that it needed and gave me an estimate. When I explained that we may be remodeling the bathroom, he recommended we just wait and do the repair later during the remodel because it will easier and less costly. Thanks for being honest and not pressuring me to fix it now. Good service gets a good review from me.

He was responsive and called me back within an hour after I first contacted him.  He was able to schedule my appointment to occur the following day.  He showed up on time.

I had him check out some drain and vent issues at my home.  He was upfront about the costs and what it would take to investigate and repair the issues.  He cleaned up the job afterward.  He was respectful and courteous the entire time.

Called Purdy due to the good review and the whole experience was indeed a 5-star service from how easy it was to schedule the service, changed the appointment since there something came up at work, reasonable pricing to the work being performed.  Ryan quietly and professionally removed the old and installed the new garbage disposal (I was sitting 5 feet away and couldn't hear any noise), and cleaned up his work. I've found a plumber that I can trust and highly recommended to everyone.

This has not been a good experience for me, at all.  I hired and paid Purdy Plumbing to fix a shower diverter and some other items.  A few days after the plumber finished, I noticed there was a drip from the tub spout when it was on shower.  I contacted Purdy Plumbing, who sent the plumber back out to look at it.  He said he could fix it, but was unable and now it was worse.  The owner, Ryan, came out to fix it and was also unable to.  He said he would come back and do a custom fix.  He never showed for the appointment and I tried contacting him.  It has been weeks and he has not responded to my calls.  The issue has not been resolved, he has not offered a refund and still has not contacted me.

This company was great. I called as I thought I was dealing with a slab leak but was not sure. The company sent out two guys to take a look and they inspected under my split level. No visible leak. They informed me that they need to come out the next day to perform leak detection.

Today the owner came out at 8:30 in the morning and started to search for the leak. The plumbing in my house is from 1964 and as you would image the regulations where weak so my plunking is a mess. Ryan was at the house for about two hours and found the suspected area for the broken pipe in the slab.

I received a great price to for call and know it's time to battling my home owned insurance to have the repaired performed and hopefully repiping.

I found my new plumber and will be contacting them for future needs.

Wow, these guys are awesome. Competitive prices, honest diagnosis and excellent work.

Nadel called when he was 15 minutes away which I liked and he was on time which I really liked. He was very knowledgeable and easy to talk with. He installed a regulator pressure valve and did not mind me watching and asking questions.

I called Purdy Plumbing after my tenant called with a clog drain on a Sunday evening. He responded to my quote request within an hour. He came right out, even in the dark, and fixed the problem. He was very nice & explained what was going on. It was quick at a reasonable rate.

Second time I've used Purdy, this is a great company.  Chris is knowledgable, professional, clean and friendly.  I am very happy with the work done today as well as the work they did last time - which is still solid.  The pricing was clear and I believe to be fair prices for the work they have done.  
First time, they installed the water softener hookup I needed and also repaired a pipe I found that had a leak in the backyard.  They replaced a section of pipe that had failed, and the copper work they did had some of the cleanest solders I've seen.  The work on the water softener hookup was equally well executed.

This recent work consisted of cleaning out two drains (yes the infamous kitchen drain, despite my best efforts to not let fat, oil or grease down the drain) and an adjoining drain from the bathroom that also connects to the main kitchen drain.  

Chris was not only on time, but early, and slapped those blue shoe covers on before entering the house, a nice touch that clearly indicates forethought about customer service. He cleaned as he went, while keeping tools and materials neat and tidy.  Trips to the truck were minimal after making the assessment, which proves to me the mark of a professional, who knows their craft and what tools the job requires.  

It should be noted that this made for a very efficient visit, I don't feel like this dragged on at all.  In fact I'm very pleased with the very thorough work that was done at such good pace.  Once again, the mark of a professional.

I hope to not need there services anytime soon, but I will use them again for all of the above reasons.  

I highly recommend this company, you'll be happy with the quality of the work.

If you ever have a plumbing issue, just give Purdy Plumbing and Drain a call.  Erin, the receptionist was very attentive to my issue and was able to have someone at my property the same day I called.  Josh, is the best plumber I have ever worked with. Not only is he extremely knowledgeable but he is able to articulate the problem in a manner I can follow.  I am an out of state property owner who was in need of a new sewer line.  Not only did he come in and provide an excellent bid, he saved me from a horrible plumber who was trying to rip me off! The job was completed on time, on bid and was done right! I can't say enough about this company!!!!! Do not call any others on here, just call Purdy Plumbing and Drain! I just had my garbage disposal replaced by Chris from Purdy Plumbing.  Finding a good plumber is a challenge.  I've tried a few different companies over the years, but I would probably give them only three or four stars.  But Purdy Plumbing ranks above the others.  They started earning five stars right off the bat when they didn't charge me to come out and give me an estimate.  Our plumbing is challenging because it's so old, but Chris was very courteous, and he carefully informed me about everything he was going to do under the sink. He gave me an estimate for a variety of solutions.  My new garbage disposal even comes with a two-year warranty on parts and labor.  Good service at a reasonable price.  I plan to call them back for any future plumbing problems.

I called several plumbing services before I called Purdy. We had a leak coming from second floor to our kitchen ceiling downstairs. A lot of ridiculous estimates and prices. It was worth paying the 89 inspection fee because he found the leak immediately without having to open up what other plumbers said they had to open up. The total fee was like 120, because they subtract the inspection fee once the work is done. It was minimal opening up and perfect repair. Other plumbing companies gave us ridiculous estimates like 800. They also wore stuff over their shoes to keep our floor clean.

Ryan Purdue saved my night. After calling about 5 different plumbers who all charged after hour prices and couldn't come right away, I got lucky and found Purdy Plumbing on yelp. It was already  after 6 and he came straight away to fix my kitchen sink and dishwasher (which had slowly been leaking for a while and I just discovered a bunch of goo under the sink). I don't know a lick about plumbing so Ryan was nice enough to explain to me what the problem was and what he was going to do to fix it. Not only that but he gave me a bunch of tips on things I could do to avoid this problem again. He went to get the parts I needed and came back and magically fixed it all! A ton of nasty stuff was clogging up this black tube which was making all the water spill out onto the kitchen counter!

I don't know what the best rate is or have any reference on pricing but what he quoted me seemed reasonable and he stayed to make sure everything was working correctly before he left. I hardly write reviews (usually for either a really bad or really good experience) but this was as pleasant as any plumbing job could possibly be. If anything else ever were to come up I would absolutely call Ryan. Friendly, patient, honest, professional, and goes above and beyond for YOUR convenience ( he arrived in 15 minutes of me calling him). We all know that feeling when you have someone do work and afterwards you don't bother to save the phone number because you wouldn't call them back if another problem came up... But doesn't it feel amazing when you finally find someone you trust to work in your house? THANK YOU!

Another plumber snaked the line and left, when it backed up again I called Ryan and he actually diagnosed a major problem. I got a couple estimates and his was most reasonable.  Once work began he was on site everyday (including weekends) until work was finished. I also had him add plumbing for a toilet and sink for my addition.

Couldn't ask more of a contractor & glad I found him on yelp!

Recently moved to the area and the drain line in our new home backed up; had water on the floor in the downstairs bathroom and gurgling noises coming from the kitchen sink drain. Not knowing who to call I relied heavily on Yelp reviews and found Purdy Plumbing & Drain. These guys are AWESOME! Left a message and was called back within 10 minutes; appt scheduled within the hour. Andy and Alan showed up on time, clean and professional. They ran a camera through the line to find the problem; roots! They used a motorized plumbing snake to clean the line, cut through the roots and then they ran the camera again to make sure the line was in good condition. Andy and Alan cleaned up their work area once the job was done and even suggested a solution that would prevent water from backing up into the house should it ever happen again. In and out in about 1 hour. Definitely calling again for any future problems. Thanks guys!

Thank you Ryan for all the hard work. I called various plumbers and got ridiculous quotes. Thank god that I found #1 rated plumber (Purdy) and they were willing to do what it takes to have the whole house water filter and water softener installed for me within 48 hrs after I called. They are very professional and did an amazing job for me. Ryan and his apprentice installed and programmed the system for me at a very reasonable price along with warranty. They also clean up the area prior of leaving. I would definitely recommend them to anyone if you need plumbing related works. Thanks so much again for all the hard work!

Very honest, informative, and professional. Ryan and his team not only solved my plumbing issue, but they also let me know what exactly was the cause and how to prevent it from happening again. I had a root issue in my main clean out which was taken care of by another plumber. 3 weeks later my toilet downstairs wouldn't flush and water was backing up into my shower. My clean out wasn't clogged and I tried snaking the toilet but had no success. Ryan was able to use his camera and found that I had a backflow protector that had roots blocking it. He also told me that the back flow protector, for some reason was only for my downstairs bathroom and that upstairs wasn't clogged because it used different pipes. All in all Ryan saved me an SD card of the camera inspection and also told me the exact cause and what to do to prevent it from happening again. His honesty made me want to give him a great review and recommend anyone who needs a plumber to call Purdy Plumbing.

Just had Andy from Purdy out to hydrojet a drain line in the yard.  He was here on time and called before coming as I had requested.  He put the camera in the line to determine the amount of debris and provided me with a price for cleaning it.  He then hydrojetted the line in passes and used his camera to determine if the debris had been fully removed.  He did an excellent job for a reasonable price.  Would recommend this company to family and friends needing either hydrojetting or plumbing services.

I don't always do a five star review, but I felt it was needed at this point.  I was SO impressed with Chris; not only his skills, but his personality.  Purdy happened to be the fifth plumbing company that my husband contacted, but it actually worked out for the best.  He got in, got the work done (had to come back the next day), but it is perfect.  He made sure everything was cleaned up and vacuumed before he left, and talked to my kids and dog like he knew them which made everyone super comfortable.  My husband and I were in and out constantly, but Chris made sure to keep us both in the loop about everything.  He even made awesome recommendations for a small project that is next on the list.

I highly encourage anyone to contact them for any plumbing needs.  I know they will now be our go to plumber.

Longtime, now former, Purdy customer here. We've tried for two straight days to make an appointment that Purdy could keep, and tonight, our plumber NO-SHOWED our job. Last I heard, he told the office that he was cleaning up and heading our way after missing our window by SIX HOURS. We were a lay-up job too. Look at a garbage disposal, troubleshoot a pressure issue, and fix a runny toilet. That's it.

I get that we were a low-priority appointment. I get that other jobs are more important and can run longer than expected. What I can't stand is being made to feel that way; getting the brush-off after being made to wait for TWO DAYS for a plumber to decide we're worth the trip. Wasted time, wasted effort.

It's really unfortunate it came to this. Purdy Plumbing's been our service for years. But they aren't anymore and we don't recommend counting on them for timely service or reliable results. Maybe someone else will want our money enough to show up.

originally called them based on their stellar reviews and have to agree with everyone else. we have had some main line problems recently that will require some follow up service to install a clean-out, but in the meantime we were getting by on having the main line snaked every month or so. The first few times Chris came out, he was great. This past Saturday night things backed up again and we were frantic to get some help because we had a birthday party the next morning and dozens of people coming to our house. Called Purdy, left a message late Saturday night thinking we probably wouldnt get a call back because of the day/time. We called a few other places and one company agreed to come out for what we thought was an insanely high price but we were in a jam and thought we had no other choice. Ryan called us back a few mins later (late Saturday night) and said he would be there in the morning to take care of the problem. As promised, he came, took care of the problem, and the party went on as scheduled later that day. On top of the great service provided, Ryan charged 1/6 of the price quoted by the other company. A standup guy, standup hardworking company. No reason to ever call another plumber ever. Is 5 stars the most i can give??!!

A++++!  Ryan and Chris came out and spent the day fixing up my house.  They added a water softener, reverse osmosis system and a new kitchen faucet.  All of their work was done professionally and they cleaned up afterwards, beautifully.  Ryan is a joy to work with, as was Chris, and his prices are more than fair!  I will not hesitate to recommend him to everyone I know AND use him again in the future!  Thank you Ryan for all of your hard work on my behalf! My hot water was not coming out and the water pressure has always been an issue for my unit.  When I reached out to Purdy Plumbing, the lady who picked up the phone was very friendly, unlike the other places I reached out to. She said she was able to send guys to come out the very next day.

Andy and Jared came to my place right at the appointment time. They took a look at my place and were super nice even though I didn't know much about where everything was.  After taking a look at my place, they thought it was a simple fix by switching out the shower cartridge, which I already purchased while I was doing my own research. So Andy walked me through it and made a few other suggestions for things I can do, such as flushing out the water heater and considering the use of water softener, to help with my water pressure.

Even though they came all the way out here, they didn't charge for anything! A very smooth and great experience.

I'm not one to write negative reviews and I'm rarely disappointed... however I had to write this. My kitchen sink was plugged up. No water was going through. Soup was poured down the kitchen sink and that's how the backup occurred. I contacted Purdy Plumbing and Drain and they able to come out the same day. They arrived slightly late of the scheduled appointment time. That's understandable since it is a same day appointment and some things are out of their control. The tech was nice and professional and proceeded to figure out what was wrong. He told me he tried to snake out my problem and it didn't work.  What I thought would be simple job appeared to be a bigger job than expected. He said that I needed to have my have my pipes replaced because they were old and that the clog can't be snaked out. To replace the pipes was going to be over $1000 easily.  No other alternatives were given. Only way to fix it was to replace the pipes. So for him to try and snake my backup that didn't work was $120. $120 for services that didn't resolve my issue.I then told them I cant proceed with the job of replacing the pipes and just paid the $120.  I tried to fix the problem myself by getting a bladder for my hose that cost me $24 and it did the job. I fixed the kitchen drain that was backed up myself. I could have wasted so much money with Purdy Plumbing with my hard earned money. Over $1k to fix the problem with them while I did it myself for $24. Im disappointed in this company.  I feel like I was being taken advantage of while vulnerable. They didn't look for my best interest. They just went with what would cost more to solve the problem. Get another opinion from another company before you waste your money.

We had a sewage back-up in our house at 10:30 pm and after calling two other 24 hour plumbers, that never answered or called back, we called Purdy.  Ryan called us right back and was here within an hour to help.
He was efficient and honest.  He cleaned out our main line and then came back the next day to put a camera down the pipe to see what was going on. He fixed the problem and then gave us several suggestions on how we can best keep the problem from happening again.  No big sales pitch or pressure, just an honest assessment.
In a day when most people are out to gain the almighty dollar it was nice to have an honest, fair plumber.  He didn't try and take us for more money, knowing we were in a place that we would have paid anything to get rid of the raw sewage. He showed up when he said he would. Ryan was great and really helpful.
We will definitely call him again and will refer him to all our friends.  Great job Ryan!

Ryan came out to look at the clog in the washer and a bathroom. He really worked the bathroom and took out some really nasty hairballs! He could have stopped and maybe tried to outsell me on hydrojetting but he kept at the snake to unclog both.

Nice work and a nice guy. Wearing shoe covers was a nice touch.

My water pressure was a bit too high, and it felt like my faucet was a fire hydrant when I turned it on sometimes, so I went on Yelp to ask for quotes about installing a water pressure regulator.

Purdy's price was a lot more reasonable than other places, so I got in contact with Ryan, and we set a date, and he said he'd have someone out from 1pm - 2pm.

Haha, yeah right, I've heard that story before.  But at 12:57, Chris was there at my door, ready to work.

He briefly looked at my main water line and said he should be able to get it done in an hour.

Haha, yeah right, I've heard that story before.  But at 1:45, my water was back on and my pressure regulator was in place, working perfectly.

He said he needed to go back to the truck to get the paperwork and everything so I could pay.

Haha, yeah right, I've heard that story before.  This is usually the part when I get presented with a bill with random phantom extra charges.  But when Chris came back, it was exactly the price I'd agreed to with Ryan.

Plus Chris was extremely nice and answered all the questions I had about my new pressure regulator.

Absolutely zero complaints - would not hesitate to contact these guys again in the future for any plumbing jobs I might have!

This firm is a welcome breath of fresh air, as Ryan is an honest, competent, and ethical businessman. He was at a family home a few months ago.
He explained exactly what he would do, how much he'd charge, and followed through to his word. Even when the leak detection took longer than expected, he stuck with it, (not charging any more) until he was able to provide an accurate assessment and job estimate. He explained the alternative repair methods so we could understand, and performed the repairs in a professional and courteous manner. So I called Purdy out to fix a shower leak yesterday and they came right away and on time. Super clean about all the work, Richie the plumber even wore house booties everytime he came in and out of the house. He fixed the problem and was a super nice guy and a great worker. HE DID A FANTASTIC JOB...so the next day I went to shower and now the leak got worse and the faucet shower would not even turn in. Ryan did amazing work for us. He went above and beyond. Came to hydrojet our kitchen drain pipe because it was completely clogged. He took his time and did a great job. I've never seen water flow down the drain this fast. He even took care of other issues he saw along the way like creating the dishwasher air gap and installing rubber gaskets in between the drainage pipes.
He gave me a really good quote, compared to his competitor who tried to charge me for over double the amount.

I would highly recommend.

Had an early morning emergency, went on Yelp to do some research and found Purdy Plumbing.  I called Purdy Plumbing, after 2 rings Ryan answered and I told him what was going on.  He scheduled an appointment and arrived on time.  Before walking into the house he put his booties on over his shoes as to not track mud / dirt through the house.  He knocked the problem out within under an hour and was on his way.  Let all these other reviews help guide you if you are in the market for a plumber.

If I could use ZERO stars....I would. I made an appointment 1 week ago to have a toilet changed. They were to be there between 10 am -12 pm. I had to call hourly to find out when they were going to be there. I understand being a little late, since things happen. When I called, it was they are coming , they're on their way, and other excuses. Over promise and under deliver. Totally wasted my only day off. Then canceled at 4 pm. I called another company that was here in a half hour. Done by 5. Never would recommend Purdy Plumbing. Period. Very disappointed in the lack of service and communication.

I value honesty above all in my professional dealings with tradesmen and Ryan of Purdy Plumbing did not let me down. I called Purdy Plumbing to get a third opinion on a simple drain clean out, the other two plumbers I had called mysteriously found problems that need correction resulting in extra charges from $300 to $1,900, hmm.

Ryan inspected all the piping under the crawl place of my house and found no additional problems and no additional charges.

He efficiently cleaned the clogged drain pipe and was a pleasure to deal with.

Finally, I can rest assured that when I call Purdy Plumbing I can count on an honest, professional and accountable plumber to work on the project.

Lately we have had realllllly bad luck with contractors and repairmen so I must admit needing to hire a plumber was anxiety producing. I actually called another multi-starred plumber on yelp and the person did not return my call for hours and then he sounded annoyed when we finally connected. First impressions are very important (if you can't be pleasant on a first call what are you going to be like if a problem arises?) so I quickly got off the phone and called Purdy Plumbing. Ryan returned my call within a half hour and was very easy to talk to.  I made an appointment for the very next morning and then Chris came into our lives. Chris was on time and ready to be 100% focused on us and our problem. He left us with the question: could he be more likable? I doubt it. I doubt it very much. The work was done efficiently and we were so impressed we asked him to look at two other small issues which he went ahead and fixed in a few minutes. The bill was more than fair and the experience left us with smiles on our faces. My 80 year old mom's comment was too bad they can't do all our handyman needs! I'd like to hire or adopt Chris!  I was also impressed with how Chris praised his boss Ryan. He had great respect for Ryan's business ethics  and attributed his own professionalism to the mentoring Ryan provided him. Totally impressive in every way. What a breath of fresh air! We have already encouraged two neighbors and two local relatives to hire Purdy Plumbing the next time they are in need of help.

When I needed a new plumber I used YELP as a guideline. Purdy Plumbing had very impressive reviews so I decided to give them a call.  Ryan did a great job of clearing out a clogged kitchen sink blockage and I was very impressed with his business philosophy.
 A week or so later a different plumbing problem emerged. One of my VERY OLD sprinkler valves stuck open and my gardener was franticly trying to shut it down. I had to shut off the water to the house. When I looked up sprinkler repairs a whole bunch of plumbing companies were listed. I gave Ryan a call to see if he did that sort of work and yes he did.
 Whoever installed the original 3 backyard sprinklers placed two of them close so I decided to do a major refit. We discovered that  the original underground lines had some sort of hose that was hose clamped to copper piping that fed out to the sprinklers . Copper piping is now continuous from the feeder lines to the riser sprinkler valves.   Chris (Ryan's 2nd in charge) did a great job which took a little longer than expected.  Ryan suggested a dedicated shut off valve for the sprinklers which I had him install.  This came in handy within a month as the plastic base housing on one of the new sprinkle valves cracked. I was able to shut off the sprinkler valves without losing water to the rest of the house.  Ryan and Chris took care of this warranty work in stride and everything is fine now.
 Purdy Plumbing is now another  PHONE LISTING  in my cell phone. It is always a pleasure working with either Ryan or Chris.

Gas company shut off our gas due to apparent gas leak in garage in early December.  Called Purdy to diagnose and repair the leak.  Technician came out and diagnosed problem for $250.  Quoted an additional $650 to repair the leak behind the wall in the garage (to replace 8 feet of gas line, 4-5 hours required).

We called another company for a 2nd opinion.  They came and repaired the leak in 1 hour, performing a less thorough, but effective repair.  Gas company came out and turned the gas back on.  All is working fine.

Ryan from Purdy followed up with us and refunded our original diagnostic fee,  Thank you Purdy for going the extra step.

I've used Purdy Plumbing several times over the years and they've always impressed me with the speed to respond to an issue and the thoroughness of the work they complete.

I had to reach out to them this week for a clog issue where the water from my shower was backing up into my kitchen sink (two story). They were at my house in under 2 hours. They quickly identified the issue and resolved it with a hydro-flush.

I highly recommend them. I will continue to call them whenever I have plumbing needs.

It is nice to have an owner such as Ryan Purdy from Purdy Plumbing & Drain corresponding with me thru yelp on my drain problems in the laundry room and I was impressed with the quick response back.

I did have one other company come out to snake out the drain and was still having problems.  I asked the office manager if the owner would come out and instead sent me two service techs that I wasn't sure they knew what was going on.

Anyway, Ryan sent out Andy one of the service techs who showed up at the requested time and showed him the situation that I was in.  He suited up and crawled underneath the house and saw that my drain lines were corroded and when water went down the drain,  it was leaking all over.  It was nice that Andy recorded the leaking pipe on his phone and texted it to my phone so I could show my wife.  The remedy was to remove and replace at least 25 feet of piping with the ABS pipes.  After confirming with my wife that this needed to be done.  Andy wrote up the estimate with a two day turn around to finish.

The following day, Andy & Sergio came and started the job.  One by one the corroded pipes came out that were almost clogged by water not going through causing the build up of sludge preventing water to go through.   The other problem arose when Andy noticed the contaminated muddy dirt from the leakage was near the wood structure causing mold & mildew if not removed.  He had a dependable company PRC Restoration come out and fix the problem.  It was nice to have both companies work side by side.  Both Andy & Sergio had the job done in one day and our drains are no longer overflowing.  Sergio was a master at redoing the drywall since they had to break it inside.  Also, I had the laundry faucets replaced and everything is working great.

Thank you Purdy Plumbing for taking care of our problem and will be using your company for further plumbing needs.

Came out the same day to fix a clogged pipe for the entire house. Needed to install a larger clean out to clear roots. Temporary fix the first day. Back two days later for the pipe replacement. Fast and reasonable price. Recommended!
Update! New issue a few weeks later. Wife calls right at 5 pm. Richie is her in minutes and resets the seals on both toilets. Wife happy now. Thanks Purdy!

This review is long overdue.  Ryan Purdue came to our rescue on a Sunday morning!  He's very professional and honest.  We had a leaky pipe underneath our kitchen sink (one of the pipes had to changed underneath the crawl space) and Ryan not only fixed it to perfection, but also explained the situation and possible causes of it.  We had the water back on and running in no time.  Ryan even called and checked in with us the next day!  We've used many plumbers in the past and this experience, is by far, the best!!  Don't waste your time calling around, it stops here guys!

Yelp does it again!!!

Late last night, I spent the better part of an hour plunging my toilet.  For the past two weeks, with each run of the shower, the toilet bubbled; but I shrugged it off.  (I swear my bathroom's haunted!)  I'd already snaked the airvents last month, but nothing worked...nothing.  So the next morning (a Saturday), I checked Yelp for local plumbers...  (I hate plumbers, by the way.)

Ryan Purdue--very cool and very professional--is Purdy Plumbing & Drain's owner and sole proprietor.  He answered my call at 7:30am, made an appointment with me for that afternoon, showed up ON TIME, wore BOOTIES over his work shoes so as not to track dirt or mud into the house, diagnosed the problem, dealt with my sewage lines, and offered me an estimate for his work that floored me!  (More on that later.)

My problem was major root intrusion in the main sewer line, which Ryan proceeded to clear by way of the secondary line in the kitchen.  (I paid attention!)  Apparently, I don't have a drain cleanout,--an entry point into the home's drainage system that allows clogs to be easily removed--so Ryan will be installing one later; but that wasn't the most amazing part (see photos).

Ryan set up this snake-like camera and inserted it into the darkened stench of the toilet's bowels.  I watched the monitor while the camera navigated its way through over 60' of drainage pipes underneath my house and below the front yard.  And there they were: ROOTS!  It was disgusting!  No wonder everything was clogged.

Anyway, Ryan then went out to my front yard with this radar-type gun so that he may detect the exact position of the camera, laying next to the roots that were pushing their way through the pipe's connectors.  That damned spot, then, will be where Ryan will install a drain cleanout.  Once that's in place, whenever a router or snake is needed, this will be the point of entry.

The cost for today's work, you ask?  Ryan was here for three hours...three!  Go ahead, take a guess.  His cost: $150.  (I wrote him a check for $200.)  Seriously, I have a doctor, an optometrist, a dentist, a broker, and even a lawyer.  But, now, I can also say that I have a plumber: a trustworthy one, one whom I don't hate, one who (like the rest of my entourage) is on my side.  And I'll bet he's willing to take your side as well.  Call Ryan.  He's a good guy.  He'll do your dirty work.

PURDY PLUMBING, another job well done. This is my second time using them, this time it was installing a recessed gas line connection for my stove. The old one was placed on the outside of the drywall, and because of it, my stove was not fitting flush against the wall; it was sticking out 4 or 5 inches off the wall. I didn't like this. So I again called PURDY PLUMBING, and they sent out CHRIS. He did an amazing job. The gas line is much cleaner looking now and as well much more useful. Also, when dealing with gas lines you have to be very careful. CHRIS double checked and triple checked right in front of me to show me the gas line connections were secure, as well as, no leaks. He was actually able to identify a gas leak in my stove (because I had complained about being able to smell gas when I called) and he tightened and sealed my stove at no additional charge. PURDY PLUMBING and CHRIS again did an excellent job and I am very grateful for their services! I would definitely recommend PURDY PLUMBING. Their prices are very fair and their Services are well above average.

First off let me start by saying this is my first review as a newly inducted yelper. I was first introduced to Ryan 5 years ago while i was the General Manager for a movie theater company. The space in which we occupied was rather old and in much need of repair. Like with any building that has some age to it, naturally there were going to be maintenance issues, the most common dealt with were plumbing issues. It was like fighting an uphill battle. We would fix one urinal/toilet, then two more would break down. I used multiple plumbing companies and was always given the run around. Technicians would show up late (if at all) then what got fixed would normally break down a few days later. Naturally they would not want to come back and fix a repair they had just worked on. So one day i gave Ryan a call. He showed up and fixed a couple things for us. He was so polite and helpful. He explained exactly what he was doing and showed me how to prevent certain issues in the future. I am no plumber. Lets make no mistake about that. But Ryan did his absolute best to dumb it down for me. After that day i felt so confident in his work that i gave Ryan our account. He became our go to plumber. Anytime we called, day or night he would show up and resolve any issues we had, and always guaranteed his work for a full year. i referred Purdy plumbing to friends and relatives and they have had 0 complaints. Contacted Purdy to get some help unclogging some patio drains that became root bound.  They were very professional in listening to my needs and quickly put me in touch with technician Rudy who advised me of what my options might be as well as estimate.  The dispatch set my schedule  and the next day thy were there on time as quoted.  They quickly confirmed the diagnosis and estimate.  A few hours later they were done with a thorough cleaning.  They also advised me of potential future needs ( drain roots never stop growing) but by no means tried to sell me anything beyond me request or the quote.  Price was as quoted.

I would highly recommend them.  As quoted, friendly, prompt, good communication skills and thorough.

I shopped around calling several plumbers to get an estimate to replace a corroded pipe which was leaking and possibly the pressure regulator.  One company gave me a good price to do both on the phone and made an appointment.  When they came out decided not to honor the price.  I finally found Prudy who came out to only fix the pipe but offered to replace the pressure regulator as well at the same price as other plumber.  The company does very good work at competitive prices.  Will definitely use again.  Andy was my tech.

Today 06/23/15 I ended up calling seven of the highest
rated (5 star) companies from yelp* & here are my findings:

(1) Never called me back.
(3) Approx. costs & labor quoted was over $500.00.
(1) Evenly priced, could not complete job until: 06/25/15.
(1) Called me back at the end of the day?  Day was over
(1) The company I chose:  {Purdy Plumbing and Drain.}

Here's why:
I called Purdy Plumbing and Drain, spoke to Erin who got Josh out to my house right away to give me an estimate. Josh did not try to up-sell me at all, he told me exactly what was wrong (discounted the price), I thanked him for his time but I did not feel confident in my decision until I had the chance to call the other (6) companies I selected & compare costs & service.  

I called one company that never bothered to call me back, three other companies told me the quote I received was an amazing price and they (in their own words) could not match it.  I called Erin back, she set up the appointment on the same day the estimate was done and sent Josh back out.  The average turn time from the other companies I talked to was around three days.  One company called me back at the end of the day (5:00 pm) after Josh had already been to my house twice, completed the job (took around 1 hour) and was already on his way to his next appointment, the guy is amazing!

* Result: Purdy Plumbing & Drain
     Earned a customer for life!!

Thank You Ryan!

I'm a retired DIY type of person, so I have time to work on my home myself; but there are some situations where I have to cry Uncle, and ask for outside help.

I have called upon Purdy Plumbing and Drain three other times in the past, for major drain and plumbing issues in our 65 year-old home, and I would normally have just called them first when I ran into a new problem with some old galvanized pipes in our bathroom that I'm trying to re-do myself; but as a fixed-income senior couple, my wife and I have recently had several unexpected drains on our money, so I had to ask for quotes from about a half-dozen local (Fullerton, California) plumbers to make sure we were getting the best offer on the work.

As it turns out, Ryan, at Purdy Plumbing and Drain got right back to us with a price and appointment plan that none of the other local plumbers could beat...

And today, true to the scheduled appointment, Ryan arrived with the right tools and attitude, and quickly took care of the problem that had given me a sleepless night over concern for any additional problems that might be caused by the old pipes.

Tonight, I'm going to get a good night's rest, knowing that Ryan got rid of the final hurdle I had to jump before I could move forward on restoring our bathroom!

If you live anywhere near Fullerton, California, and you need help with your plumbing problems, I don't believe you'll find a better company to call for help.

I called Ryan to come take a look at a shower leak, and I was really hoping that he wouldn't have to open up the wall to resolve the problem.  Fortunately, he was able to stop the leak by installing new fixtures, and went out of his way to find some that would help us avoid the problem in the future.  I appreciate the fact that Ryan didn't make the job bigger than it had to be.  The price was very reasonable, and he worked quickly, showing up or calling when he said he would.  I am hoping not to have more plumbing issues... but if I do, at least I know who to call.

Really enjoyed working with this company. Andy came out on time and helped us through the kitchen clog. He was really patient with us and provided not only evidence of the grease plug but also advice without up selling us. Our particular case ended up needing the hydro jet but it was well worth the money. They even guarantee it for a year!

I looked online later that day and the price charged to us was very fair compared to other companies. I was glad I could trust them on the spot without feeling scammed later. He was honest -- so important to us.

Unfortunately for us another clog has showed up (old house, different drains) today and they're on their way to help us once again! Look forward to working with them again. Hopefully we won't need another jet. Either way, still worth it!!

Purdy Plumbing was fantastic! Ryan and both the technicians (Robert and Chris) were fantastic. Some of the most courteous and professional guys I have been able to work with. The work was done thoroughly and at a great price. We had a mainline stoppage from roots and needed to install cleanouts in the main in addition to hydrojetting. They are definitely going to be my go-to plumbers from here on out. They went above and beyond what any other company offered to do (I got quotes and advice from four different companies), and I felt like I was being told straightforward how it was rather than trying to be convinced to do something more expensive that was necessary (like some other companies had tried to do)

This review is for Nicole.
I've used this company a few times in the past, and the service they offered were very professional. For the reason, I have their number on my phone so that I can make a call when needs arise. This time, the property had a water heater emergency. I made a call and inquired their availability.

Nicole answered the phone and listened to the issue. She recognized the emergency, and it needed to be taken care of immediately, but their technicians weren't available until the following day. Nicole then gave me a referral, which turned out fantastic. But I was more impressed with Nicole's care for customers. She could've made me wait for their technicians to be available, but she recognized my need and gave me a referral. Later time, I happened to find out that Nicole was happy that I had a great service from the company she referred to me.

My trust for this company is even bigger now. They prioritize the best interest in customers. Nicole was very quick and handled the matter appropriately.
I appreciate her good work ethic.

I recently purchased a new home and upon move in I discovered the sellers broke the water line behind the refrigerator.  Unfortunately, I didn't discover this prior to turning on the water.  Grrrrrr.

I called Purdy Plumbing and Andy & Alan were at my doorstep within the hour.  They were professional and completed the work in a timely fashion.  I appreciated the fact that they kept their workspace clean and tidy and made sure to keep a watchful out for my dog who likes to escape out the front door.

Throughout repairing the refrigerator line and completing additional work that was needed on the older valves outside, they kept me up to speed on the work that was being done.

Happy to have finally found a plumbing company that I can trust and depend on :).

My mom needed a plumber so I hopped on Yelp to find someone to help her out. His reviews were great but sometimes the actual experience is less than the hype. But Ryan was exactly like the reviews. He is smart, polite, honest, etc. I could go on and on. If you find yourself in the midst of a plumbing emergency, take a deep breath, relax, and call Purdy plumbing. You'll be amazed that he arrives on time, protects your home from additional messes, takes the time to do the job correctly, presents you with a bill that is amazingly reasonable and cleans up any sign that he was ever at your home. I can't recommend him any more strongly.

I had a clogged kitchen sink for two days. Had a friend come over to snake the drain but that didn't work. Went on Yelp to find a plumber and called three places. I chose Purdy because they were able to come out right away and they were 30.00 less than the others. Andy arrived and was very professional. Drain was unclogged within 30 minutes. From now on, this is our go-to. If you're looking for a plumber, put this company in your speed dial. Chris came out and was able to efficiently address our plumbing issue. The cost was very fair. There was a minor tweak needed the following day, which he came out to fix immediately. Ryan followed up with a call that same evening to make sure we were satisfied with the service. Called Purdy Plumbing after I initally called a 3 star Plumbing company who charged me and could not clear my 2 clogged line and suggested hydro jetting the line for an outrageous price. Purdy Plumbing from the start with the person who answered the phone to the person she transferred me to, to learn more about the problem I was having, and Andy the Plumber who showed up to do the work were all very courteous and professional. Andy the plumber definitely went the extra mile to get the job done and I was really impressed on how thoroughly he did all the work needed to unclog the 2 line to the main. First he snaked the pipe many times to 70'or so, but still was backing up. The last time I saw some roots at the end of snake and knew it needed to get Hydro Jetted which he suggested, so I had the line Hydro Jetted which cleared the line and ran the camera to see the unclogged pipe, he tried prior but you couldn't see anything because of the black water. After that he ran the Hydro Jet many times to clean out the pipe as much as possible and ran the camera again to show me the pipe pass the main which was now cleared. The Moral of the story is don't go with a 3 star rated Plumbing service to save money and go with Purdy Plumbing who have a 5 star rating because they actually saved me more money than if I was to go with the original which wanted to charge me 4 times as much for the hydro jetting job and to me Purdy Plumbing truly seem to be honest and professional in there work.

Called Purdy Plumbing & Drain to clear out my clogged kitchen sink.  Had a great experience!!!  Ryan is professional and he called to confirm the appointment.  When he arrived, he took care to put on booties so as not to bring dirt in the house.  He covered the area he was working in with plastic, worked quickly and gave tips on how to prevent the clog from happening again.  His prices are very reasonable.  I would definitely recommend and call Purdy Plumbing if ever I need a plumber again.

I called on 10/6/22, to get A price for complete removal of my drains and replace with new pipes. They sent someone out and he was here in 15 minutes. He crawled under the house for about 45 minutes and took pictures to show me. They sent me a quote in about 30 minutes. We had 4 quotes from other plumbers. My wife & I went over and Purdy Plumbing came out on top every time, I called on the 7th. they came with 5 men and did the job in one day on the 8th.. They worked very hard and completed the job that day.

I found their contact info through Yelp alone. Purdy clearly had a good reputation so I gave them a shot. Purdy Plumbing exceeded my expectations!

Ryan came out same day to clear a recurring bathtub drain problem. Not only did he stick with the problem till the end to get it working he managed to fix my toilette problem at no charge. Good to have a good local plummer contact!

Ryan came to install a new faucet and garbage disposal at my home, I am so happy to have found such a good plumber!! He showed up right on time and when he came in he wore booties on his boots to keep my home clean (which I find to be such a respectful thing to do. I am a bit of a clean freak!) There were a slow draining issue in our restroom and floor sink that popped up suddenly.  PURDY was able to run a camera to diagnose where the issue was in the main pipe and snaked it out.  The technician was able to keep our public area clean and the clog removed.  I was thankful it was resolved on the same day.

I called Ryan to get an estimate on a water leak in our wall.  Because of the seriousness of the problem I needed someone to come ASAP.  Ryan was not only the cheapest of three estimates, he was the only one who would come out on a Saturday night.  He came out quickly, addressed the problem(which was a leak in the wall), and fix it.  He stayed about 3 hours and only charged $200.  He called today to follow up and make sure everything is fine.  I would highly recommend Purdy Plumbing and I will use Ryan again.

I am recommending Purdy plumbing to everyone I know.  They are just that awesome.  I called another place that was recommended by a friend.  They quoted me $130 plus parts to come out.  Water was leaking from under my kitchen sink.  When I ran the water, water would drip from the pipe leading to the faucet and also from directly under the faucet.  I called and gave Purdy Plumbing this information.  They were able to come within an hour for a FREE estimate!  This is the first plumbing company I've called that comes out to give you a free estimate, rather than charge just to come and take a look.
Chris arrived on time, in a Purdy Plumbing van.  He wore shoe covers when he came in.  He diagnosed the problem quickly, then spent extra time making sure it was not any other problem.  He basically had to take apart the top of my faucet hose and reverse the gasket?? And screwed it back on so it was not loose anymore.  That was what was causing the leak.  But he checked every other possibility to make sure it wasn't anything else.  He checked the pipes, the garbage disposal, the dishwasher and water filter.  After about 30 minutes.  He was done.  He then showed me the rust on the garbage disposal and under the sink faucet.  He informed me that I would need to eventually replace these things because of the rust which would lead to leaking.
Then I asked him how much I owed him for fixing the leak.  He said nothing.  He didn't bring out any tools and all he did was reverse the gasket? And twist it back on.  Say whaaaaaat???  
Me: But you spent time coming out, fixed the leak, and spent time checking everything.  
He said he and Purdy Plumbing don't think it's right to charge to come out for an estimate and since he didn't get his tools out and replace anything, there was no charge.  
He then gave me an estimate for the future work that would need to be done due to the rust, but it was up to me if and when I wanted to get that work done.  He went to his car, wrote up different estimates (if i purchased the faucet and disposal vs them purchasing it).  And that was that.  
Chris was awesome!  Professional and knowledgeable.  
If you need a plumber, call Purdy.  They give you a free estimate based on the actual work that needs to be done.  No other place does that!  
Thank you Purdy and Chris.  You guys are awesome.  I've already bragged to all my family and friends and sent them Purdy's information.

Quick response even during the long thanksgiving weekend. Contacted them through yelp on saturday and got a quick response. And they were the only ones that contacted me back after contacting several others. Ryan did a leak detection inspection and capped the lines for a very reasonable price, had a slab leak. Ryan had on the shoe coverings so he wouldn't dirty your floor. Also very friendly to talk to. So glad he did work on my pipes and didnt complain about the weird configuration the pipes were laid out in the house. Definitely found a go to plumber for other future problems.

Excellent customer service, punctuality and value. I rarely use Yelp for Plumbing services but this time it wast right on point with the accuracy of  the ratings. My bathtub was clogged and I had previously called a plumbing service which by the way they lied telling me that my pipes were crystallized and that cement breaking would have to be involved in order to repair it.

This was not the case, my bathtub got unclogged, and a minor repair is need it with nowhere near the amount of work the other guy wanted to charge me.

I will definitely use Purdy Plumbing for preventive yearly service.

I called Purdy because we were having issues with our tankless water heater. Chris from Purdy was on time, polite, knowledgeable, and extremely professional. He kindly answered all our questions and explained in detail what work needed to be done. Chris de-scaled the water heater to remove all the lime build up and ensured all the faucets and shower heads were in good working order afterwards. Our tankless water heater is now working great. Really appreciated the phone answering and being able to get a crew out same day to check out my plumbing situation. The crew, tried as they might, couldn't clear my drains, but gave a solid reason why- with an estimate. Really appreciated that. Only charged me for call out too. That was OK with me. Because the repair was going to cost above my budget, I decided to go with another contractor after I got got a couple more bids. The only thing I would say bad about their service, they were a bit on the messy side. But considering the timely call out, I was ok with that.

Purdy plumbing will not be truthful to you and will drop you off on Thursday until who knows....

Here is my experience:

Last Tuesday they showed up to exchange my shower handles with new trim. The parts were hard to find so the plumber called their 'hard to find' parts supplier and requested the exact brand and finish needed. Their supplier had the parts in stock.  I know this as I was a party to the call with the supplier and plumber and heard him say so.  The plumber left the job on Tuesday at 11am to get the parts himself( again I was on the call) and would return first thing Thursday to install.

I was called on Thursday at 11am, after the install should have been done, I left a key with the plumber and my painters were on site so access was not the issue.  I was informed that the a mistake was made and the parts were not the the parts and that the correct ones I'll be in the following week.  I inquired how this happened and the person on the phone said the manager picked up the parts not the plumber who left my job to do so, it so he lied to me.  

I inquired if the manager knew the parts to get and found out he was just a flunky guy, not the manager not the plumber.  Glad to know this was the reason... That made us feel real good...Hmmm, another lie.

And if they knew on Tuesday via Mr flunky, how come it took them until after the job should have been finished to tell me they don't even have the parts ? Deception is a lie too, another one...

I asked to speak with the plumber directly and the scheduler said he would call me.  He did not and when I called again.. Purdy plumbing is booked through the weekend and we will return calls Monday' another lie...and now we are dropped off with no communication to reschedule, take time off work to meet the plumber, nor do we know when the parts really will come in... They lied three times, left us hanging.  

Is that the type of plumber you want?  Redneck butt crack cowboys... The girl on the phone reminded me of a ditsy valley girl with no comprehensible knowledge of anything...Other than how to lie to you.

It is not a Purdy situation....Yelp needs to allow negative stars.

They don't return phone calls!!!  My husband called twice, early yesterday afternoon (Thursday) and again this morning (Friday) requesting plumbing service and his calls were never returned!  I tried myself today and same thing!   All I got was a recording with no information about when they would be back.  I really do not understand how a company with a five star rating on Yelp can't even take care of returning a phone call!!!

I don't like looking for plumbers and I don't trust them because of past experiences. Well, maybe someday they will extend their service area. I've used Purdy Plumbing several times now and have been more than satisfied with every visit. Like most homes around here, our home is older (built in the 1960s) and we've had various plumbing issues in both bathrooms, the kitchen and the sewer. Each time we've called Purdy I feel like we were well taken care of. From Erin the dispatcher to Ryan the owner, and of course the individual plumbers, my wife and I have been impressed and recommend these guys to anyone who needs a plumber.

Called this company after learning that the plumbing company we used to call went out of business. We had an issue with water coming out underneath the toilet as well as changing it out entirely. Our house was built in the mid 1950s and so we knew that there maybe issues when they open up things up to take a look to see what's going on. Sure enough, it turned out to be a bigger job. The main person we dealt with was Andy; he was very thorough and transparent with everything that needed to be done.

We couldn't be happier with the job that was done. We have another thing that we would like to get done and we will definitely be calling Purdy again.

Also, one great thing about this company - I called the number that is posted here on Yelp; I received a pre-recorded message telling me that I could also send a text.  After leaving a text, Nicole called me back right away.

Ryan (the owner) and Chris are extremely honest and professional plumbers. I highly recommend them!  

We had a slab leak so Ryan and Chris stayed late into the evening to complete the re-routing of the water line so that we had water that evening. They were very upfront about the estimated costs of the job and very reasonable compared to the other quotes we received.

We will definitely call these guys again when we have other plumbing issues.

Congratulations. You have found your plumber. We had a moving truck run over our yard and crack a pipe. Got 3 quotes and they were all in the same range. Purdy had the best reviews, quoted me with pictures and there was no pressure.

On the day of service, Ryan called in advance and let me know he was coming. Upon arrival he spent 15 minutes looking it over before deciding that he wanted to use a different fitting than what he had. No problem, he left for 15 minutes to purchase what he needed, came back and went to work.

I only mention this because I think another plumber would of just made it work with what they had with but Ryan has standards and is willing to put the time in to do quality job.

He spent couple hours and everything came out perfect. I only wish I took a picture. The best part was the valve had a handle with Purdy Plumbing and a phone number on it. He literally puts his name on his work!

Don't let Ryan's youthful appearance fool you.   He is a top notch,  knowledgeable,  professional plumber.   He stays on top of communication via phone or text messages,  arrives on time,  gets the job done and all for a reasonable, fair and affordable price.   He replaced two shower valves and checked for a slab leak (and told us that we didn't have one... So he's honest,  too).   Will definitely be calling him again for any future plumbing needs.   I highly recommend his company.

I contacted Purdy based on their great Yelp reviews and I'm so glad that I did. Erin promptly returned my calls, gave me a competitive quote for the services that I wanted and had technician, Chris, come to our house on the day I requested.

Upon arrival, Chris was polite, used shoe covers (without me even asking) and reviewed everything with me from start to finish asking questions along the way to ensure he was addressing our issues correctly. He looked for simple fixes in an effort to save us money!  There was no overselling and no surprises.

Most importantly, as the expert, Chris made excellent suggestions on things that we could do to properly maintain our plumbing and related appliances/fixtures.

I would highly recommend Chris and Purdy Plumbing and Drain. They will be my first and only call for any future needs.

Would recommend Purdy's Plumbing to anyone I know.

Had to get our laundry room plumbing redone. This included recessed laundry box, new copper water lines, new ABS drain line and standpipe to replace the original galvanized steel in our 1955 home.

I was able to schedule an estimate and met Chris for the first time. He was on time, polite and responsive. He walked me though various options, giving me in a perfect world scenarios that would accomplish my end goal and helped be understand what would be best for the longevity of my home. He left me an estimate with a very detailed explanation of the work that would be done. I left a message later that evening with the main office asking to schedule service.

I got a return phone call the next morning saying they could schedule it 2 days later on a Saturday (which was perfect).

Again Chris arrived on time at 0900 and began the work. He gave me an estimated finish time and began the job. Even while running into unexpected original plumbing he explained how he would adjust his plan of attack and continued. Chris was a great guy and I appreciated his thorough nature and attention to detail. When he finished he cleaned up his work space and left it tidy and neat.

I know good work and customer service when I see/feel it and I have no reason to ever bid out plumbing again. I just found MY plumber. Thanks again Chris and the Purdy Plumbing Team,Happy Holidays!

We have been using Purdy Plumbing since we moved to Fullerton in mid 2020 and they have always been so helpful and kind to our family. Their response time is always prompt and they are wonderful to work with! Their rates are very competitive and reasonable and at the end of they day they want to make sure you and your family are taken care of.

After needing some emergency repairs when we moved in, Jerry helped with re-piping the entire house's water and sewer service. The owner, Ryan, has also been out and helped with repairs to our sewer line from the house to the city and was thorough in explaining what we needed and what options we had. If we have any questions about random plumbing issues in the house, they have made the time show us what repairs or updates we could use.

We've also worked with Alan and Joseph, who most recently came out to help with our gas line and water heater. They were able to make it out the day we called at the end of the day to take a look at what was going on and solved our problem very quickly.

We will continue to use Purdy Plumbing as long as we are in the area and make sure to recommend them to our friends in the area!

Thank you Purdy Plumbing for your awesome service and dedication to your customers. We had an issue with our shower and my wife was on me to get it fixed. My brother recommended Purdy ( and specifically technician Chris) and they came out the next day to check it out. After 5 minutes the problem was fixed and there was no charge since there were no parts used. He simply showed me how i could handle that particular issue on my own. No tools needed. Just knowledge. Wow!
Well, Chris also pointed out something with our plumbing that would probably become an issue in the future. He wrote up an estimate for the work and even though we're not having the work done just yet, you can bet we are going to call Purdy Plumbing when the time comes. Thanks again guys!

I am just now getting around to writing this review. I used Purdy plumbing last year to hydro my drains on my house in Fullerton. I waited to write the review to see if the problem went away. My drains have been clear since this was done. First off let me start by saying the person who answered the phone was really nice and scheduling the appointment was a breeze. I mention this because i called other places to shop around and could not get a straight answer out of them, some never bothered to return my call. The plumber who came out to do the work was courteous and went out of his way to explain what he was doing. He left no trace that he had been there.
Recently I had the opportunity to meet the owner Ryan. I was doing a home inspection for a client and he was there doing a sewer camera inspection. After meeting him I knew right away why his worker was so good, its obvious Ryan is a professional. As a home inspector I have worked with many plumbers, having been in the piping industry myself for so many years I do have extensive knowledge of plumbing systems. Ryan was obviously there  to make the client feel comfortable in their purchase of this home. He explained what he was doing and how much the repairs would be. I have witnessed other plumbers that try to frighten or tell the customer things that simply are not true.  I will from  here on out recommend Ryan to all my clients.

He was courteous, attentive, and super friendly towards my parrot. It is very rare for my parrot to bond with anyone; Chris bonded with my parrot in less than five minutes. This demonstrates his wonderful personality on the job.

I've used Purdy Plumbing before and needed a couple items fixed such as my washer's overflow tube not draining and a new fill valve for the toilet. Ryan came over and took care of both items in a very quick manner, was polite and very respectful and responsive and I was impressed with his professionalism. For the future I can't see using another plumbing company unless there is an emergency and Purdy Plumbing can't show up for a few days. I highly recommend this company for anyone who doesn't have a local plumbing company and you won't be disappointed.

That time I gave five stars to the plumbing company...

I've used Purdy twice and both times the results have been excellent.  I had a busted pipe in the wall and a nasty clogged pipe that I couldn't work out myself.  For both incidents, I was able to get someone out the same day to come and help.

Aside from their amazing availability, they're always up front about the pricing (if it's clear what the issue is).  Sometimes a company will lead with a price and then uh-oh! so and so happened so we have to charge an extra this or that  Not with Purdy - their pricing is consistent and I paid exactly what was quoted over the phone and by the tech when he came out.

I've worked with two different techs and both were helpful, friendly, and expertly fixed the issue they were dealing with.  It was pretty easy and painless.  They also clearly explained what they were doing and why.  I've recommended them to some family and friends and if I have another plumbing related issue, they're the first, second, and third company I'll call.  When I first moved it to my place I dealt with a handful of plumbing related issues and got stuck working with a pretty terrible company that overcharged and did more harm than good (I don't want to name names so I won't mentioned Atlas outright, I'll just call them company X).  When I got sick of dealing with company X, I found Purdy here on Yelp and they've been my go to solution ever since.

No one likes calling out the plumber, but I'm honestly grateful that I know of a company I have 100% confidence in.  Don't hesitate, make Purdy your first choice if you have a plumbing issue.

I recently had to replace our 75 gallon residential water heater.  I usually try to do all the home repairs since outsourcing can get rather expensive.  But after evaluating this particular project & considering the size of the water heater,  I knew I had to hire a plumber.  The first plumber I considered, Payless Plumbing, tried to gauge my wife. The difference between the initial estimate & the final estimate was $800!  When I booked the appointment with them, the scheduler assured me an actual estimate would be given prior to any work being started. Unfortunately that didn't happen, I get a call from my wife telling me they started the work without telling her anything. I politely asked them to halt the job after finding out how much they were going to charge me & what I needed modified for them to install the heater.

So my second search brought up Purdy Plumbing & Drain. After reading past reviews I figured I would give them a shot. Chris arrived promptly and listened to what I wanted done. He gave me a fair estimate & I couldn't be happier with the installation. Credit to the owner as well, Ryan, for coming out & bringing the supplies as well as helping lift this monstrosity of a water heater.

We had a small gas leak at the in-ground meter near the street due to a corroded section of pipe. Another company quoted $6,000 (!) stating the entire line would need to be replaced. I was fairly certian that wasnt required. Chris from Purdy came out and inspected the pipe and was able to remove the bad pipe and install a new section.  I won't name the other company, but i don't care if a plumber smells good or not. Chris did a great job and gas was back on in a couple of hours. Charge was very reasonable.

I've called Purdy Plumbing and Drain twice in the past three months for plumbing problems in my nearly 100-year-old home. The issues have been resolved in a timely and efficient manner. I have two curious toddlers and TWICE Purdy Plumbing has came to the rescue! Apparently my kids thought it would be a great idea to flush some toys down the toilet. I called Purdy and the receptionist was awesome! She got someone out asap even with their busy schedules. A lot of other places I called wee way too pricey or wouldn't be out til late/following day. Second time around when it happened again...Purdy to the rescue. It was a Friday afternoon and they got someone out sooner than expected! I can't remember his name, but he and all of their guys are so respectful and friendly. I offered some waters and some chips and he was so appreciative. I definitely recommend them for any plumbing needs.

In short, Purdy Plumbing is AMAZING.  I called Purdy after having a bad experience with the plumbing company our home warrany sent out.  Chris was able to come out on the same day and did a very thorough inspection and quickly diagnosed a slab leak.  Chris was extremely professional and very polite.  He was able to explain plumbing terms in a manner that made sense to me.  We felt very at ease and in capable hands. This is my second time using Purdy Plumbing for my plumbing issues and they are the BEST!  The first time was with Ryan a few months ago and gave a very fair price for the great work he did.  The second time was with Chris who helped me out today.  Said he already identified the problem before he arrived, and was able to fix the issue with a simple screwdriver free of charge!  Had no idea it was such an easy fix.  I'm so thankful he came over to show me how to repair it should the problem happen again.  Chris also provided an estimate if the whole shower handle ever needed replacing in the future.  He was also very punctual and came to the house not more than an hour after calling the company!  So happy!!

During a super busy time in my week, I reached out to them in desperation because the water in the bathroom has been leaking for over a week and the landlord wasn't doing anything about it. I know why they have such good ratings because they are so GOOD!

I have been using Purdy Plumbing for about 4 or 5 years. I feel they are reasonably priced and honest. Most importantly,  they stand behind their work. I've had them repair my my old main line (original clay pipe) where they reinforced with fiberglass. I've also had clean out pipes installed due to my funky layout of my plumbing pipes in my 1924 house. Today I had issues  with one of the bathrooms backing up. They came out same day and sent the Plumber who did the clean out pipe installation.  Andy remembered my funky layout and looked up my info prior to arriving.  I didn't need to provide any additional info. It ended up being a simple clean out but Andy knew exactly where to look, came with all the right equipment including the camera.  Andy and Angel were awesome. Very helpful and friendly.

Ryan, Owner of Purdy, came out to inspect my broken sewer lateral while IRWD was inspecting the line to see whether it's within their limits to repair. The broken section is right on the limit line. Ryan patiently waited as I discussed with IRWD for 30-40 mins. While I waited for IRWD to make a determination, Ryan was answering my questions on the side and reviewing video footage with me and providing me a rough estimate. Then as we're talking, IRWD walked over and said, We can start tomorrow. Ryan looked at me and said, You should go out to dinner tonight cause you just saved a lot of money! Ryan explained that I probably saved $10K or more cause it may require digging up a section of HOA and city street. He also said that he's never seen city do that before. I was really impressed by Ryan's patience and friendly customer service, it was like having a buddy there with you! He brought me some good luck today, thx Ryan. I called Purdy Plumbing because something was leaking in my laundry room ceiling, which is below the upstairs bathroom. My son in law opened up the ceiling, but didn't know exactly what was leaking. Andy had his partner run the water,  no leak,  then he said throw water at the seam between the tube and the wall, that was it. He said we just need to caulk it. I'm so happy to have found an honest plumber. They came and did a diagnosis at no charge. Thank you, Andy for your honesty.

My garbage disposal stopped working and so I called Purdy. I was provided a window of time between 2:30 and 3:30. I found out I would be home an hour early and let them know. Allen arrived a bit before 2:30. He discovered little pieces of glass were the culprit and he removed it. I was getting ready to pay and he said it was a small issue and so there would be no charge! Am I dreaming? Maybe I will wake up soon!

Came home to our sewage drain backed up so badly it was coming up out of the main drain port. Flooded our whole back drive. Called Purdy on a Sunday morning around 8am and my call was immediately picked up by Ryan. Said he'd be out within a few hrs, he ran late but called to let me know and I really appreciated him keeping me in the loop. He was extremely professional, knowledgeable and skilled. Worked in the 90 degree heat without one complaint and did the job thoroughly. His rates were very reasonable for the amount of time he spent clearing out the blockage, even sending me the video of the snake cam so I could send it to our HOA for reimbursement. If you're looking for a reliable plumber that answers your call, I would highly recommend Ryan. I'll def be calling him again when we're in need!

Ryan came last week to diagnose a lack of running water issue in my backyard.  It was not a sprinkler issue, but a water supply problem.  He came on time, was courteous, professional and honestly gave me his diagnosis options.  In the end, it turned out to be an easier fix than expected and it involved him even suiting up to check out my crawl space.  I offered him compensation, and he even discounted my offer since the fix was not too difficult.  I'm sure other plumbers might have even tried to upcharge!  I will definitely use him again for any further plumbing problems I may have and I highly recommend him!

I've been looking after my grandparents in Fullerton for the last few months as both of their health has seriously declined.
I live in Nashville, so naturally, I turned to Yelp.  Ryan showed up, diagnosed the very simple fix (and no charge) of a loose handle on the toilet I was having issues with, but then noticed a leak underneath the toilet (that I've never noticed). He stayed to repair the more serious problem underneath the toilet even though it was a bigger job than any of us expected. He also diagnosed the issue with hot water from the kitchen sink and gave us his honest and very humble advice as to how to proceed given we will probably sell the house in the next year or so.  He was kind, quiet, and got the job done without overselling or overcharging.  He is trustworthy, prompt, and I HIGHLY RECOMMEND HIM. I contacted Purdy because of the Yelp reviews and also because I live just a few blocks away.   The phone rep was responsive and attentive.   Ryan showed up a few days later as scheduled.   After describing the problem (slow drainage between old and new construction), he went right to work.   To get a better grasp of the problem, I asked Ryan to explain things as he proceeded, and he did so without hesitation, in clear and simple terms.   It turned out to be a minor problem, but the effort was worthwhile as I can now avoid a much bigger problem in the future.  

Purdy Plumbing provided top-notch service.   I won't hesitate to call them again.

This long over due review is for technician Chris P. I had an issue with backed up pipes where my washer drains out and draining issues in the guest shower. He came out and quickly identified why I was having these issues he explained things in terms I was able to comprehend and was just genuine throughout the process. Very few people seem to actually love what they do for a living but you can tell Chris loves his job. I would hear him get pumped up and excited when he would fix one issue and move on to the next. Dude had a smile from ear to ear when he resolved our draining issues. He also gave me tips on how to maintain my drains to prevent future backups and I've been following his advice and the issues have not come back. The company cost a bit more than previous plumbers but it was well worth it because the other guys did not resolve the issues for longer than a week if that. Thanks again Chris P you rock and I admire your work ethic! Keep up the great work

Just so you know, at the time of my service Purdy Plumbing is basically a 1 man show. He basically runs his business all by himself. He does have helpers but he runs it by himself. I called 3 plumbers because my bathroom drains were Very, VERY slow. Out of the 3, Ryan was the only one to call me back. (THE ONLY ONE!!!) I called on a Monday and was told he might be able to get out on Tuesday, but he could not promise that he would make it. But he did tell me he would be out on Wednesday for sure and could only promise 12 pm or sometime after 2 PM. I was OK with that, because it was not an emergency and he knew that in advance. Plus ( I had an appointment somewhere I had to be at 12) So he based his time estimates on the fact that it was not an emergency. He actually did not make it out until almost 4 PM. But he did keep in contact with me to let me know. Busy Busy man doing incredible work

Let me tell you it was worth the wait. The bathroom drains were cleared by his helper (sorry I am bad with remembering names.) In basically no time at all!! And while that was being done Ryan fixed the pipes in the kitchen. They were not routed properly. Ryan did not charge me extra for the kitchen. Can you believe that?? Did not charge me for extra work. Nobody does that. (NOBODY!!) And he did all that even though I was just asking about the kitchen for the next time I was going to schedule them out.

Now for the non plumbing stuff. Before I let them in, I put the dogs in the backyard. When they saw my pups Ryan mentioned that His dog resembled my dog and wanted to meet them. So I let them in to meet them. After that we talked a little bit and not noticing that I left the front door open, my pups snuck out the front door. They both dropped everything and ran out with me to help gather them up. We got lucky and found them with in a couple of minutes. Thank god!! LOL.
They even apologized although it was my fault.

I mentioned to Ryan that we are going to remodel the bathroom and he told me he had a contact that does remodels so I walked out to his van to get the contact info and I must have distracted him because his keys got locked in his van. Knowing that he had his last appointment to get to, I told him not to worry and I grabbed my lock out kit and got him on his way. He insisted on paying me for that. I tried not to take anything for it because its just the right thing to do. But he insisted that I take something.

Ryan and his crew are those kind of people that you want to keep in your contacts forever. It is hard to find HARD WORKING and HONEST people like them at Purdy pluming. So when you do, you hold onto that contact info forever and tell everybody you can.

The shower drain from 2nd floor is completely blocked due to root intrusion.

This same thing happened about a year and half ago. A plumbing company came, cabled the drain, put in a clean out in front yard, also did hydra jetting.

It lasted 1.5 yrs, now root is coming back.

I called round a few plumbers, explained the situation to them, the quotes I got ranged from $350 - $500.

I called Ryan from Purdy Plumbing, he gave me the lowest price and didn't try to sell me anything, I felt very comfortable with him on the phone, and he's right here in Fullerton, so I gave this job to him.

He arrived on time, with another help also named Ryan.

They spent a lot of time trying to clear the shower drain from 2nd floor. Because the pipe is small, root had condensed and very stubborn, it took them 1.5 hour to finally clear it.

They used camera to confirm the water flow is good.

There is also some root in the main drain from house to city drain. They used camera to locate the roots, then used bigger, more powerful cables to clear most of them.

They probably spent 3 hours clearing the drain. They are very professional and knowledgeable.

I told them I'll use RootX to slow down the root growth, they seem to like the idea.

They also alerted me that there is offset where the clean out pipe connects to the main drain pipe. That's a place where root can intrude and informed me to watch this spot. I really appreciate that.

I asked for multiple business cards from Ryan, will certainly recommend him to my friends.

I'll call Ryan when the next time I have plumbing issues, but hope it wont' be in the near future. :)

The best money can buy. I really cannot say enough good things about Purdy.

They have probably been out to my house 5 times for various issues. Each time they have gone above and beyond. One time they gave me a free look into the sewage lines under my house with a camera. Another time they showed me how to light the pilot on my water tank, also as a courtesy.

They have fixed leaks, they have replaced lines, they have installed new faucets. I have no complaints and if I ever request any adjustments, they make them for me right away. They are polite, and they are here when they say they will be here.

Call them if you want the best plumbers you can find at any price.

Very professional, very courteous. The plumber they sent out was very knowledgeable, arrived on time, and made extra effort to explain the issue to ensure we understood the 'big picture' - - and what we could do to avoid same issue in the future.  He even went so far as to give some very practical, low-cost options for general plumbing care that will keep our pipes in best shape possible.  He also gave some insight on potential bigger issues we may have in the distant future - - but did not try to scare us into doing anything now since it was not needed, even though it would have brought them a lot more work in the near term.  Purdy is definitely going to be our go to plumber from now on. Great service!! Chris was our technician and he was extremely helpful. Showed up on time, very respectful, and gave lots of advice on how to prevent clogs in the future!  Thoroughly cleaned up after snaking our drain and gave us a 90 day warranty for future clogs! Will definitely use again!

Ryan saves the day...  I had a clog in my main line in the front. I dug it up to find a crack in the clay pipe. I had a lot of other projects going on in my complete home remodel, so this was the last thing I wanted to tackle right now. Saw Purdy on Yelp and thought I'd give them a shot.  Job was quoted by one of their new guys on a sewer main. Showed the guy what I found  and said I wanted 4 feet replaced. He quoted an amount and said if more than 4 feet needed replacement the price would go up. It turns out I did half the digging for him and he was done quickly. I asked if he could put a camera down and he said make an appointment and pay 4 times more than I paid another plumber to do this. I said I paid for 4 feet to be replaced and he did less than half of that, at least I should get a discount. He was rude and patronizing. He did say since I had a problem he'd call his boss. His boss, Ryan, came over and finished the job. Ryan sent the new guy home and halved my price and put a camera to investigate. He went way above and beyond, so I feel obliged to give a five star review. Thank you Ryan!

These guys do great work! I was having some problems with water draining at my house so I called roto-rooter plumbing. The guy came out and told me (Without even looking) it was going to cost $800 to flush the main line. After sending him packing i jumped on yelp and found Purdy. Ryan came out right away and tried several different things. Finally he was able to clear it with a snake. When it was all said and done my bill was under $200. I am very happy to have found these guys. I now use them for my business and home.

Andy and his assistant spent over two hours evaluating our pipes and found a leak we didn't know existed. They spent most of that time crawling under our house. They didn't charge us for their time and gave us an estimate. They also help turn on our new water heater that was placed by another plumber.

I had a leaky, old faucet in the garage. I went on yelp and found Purdy plumbing. After reviewing the reviews, and I decided to give them a shot. I called the office and they were able to have a technician come out on the same day. The technician Chris was very friendly and knowledgeable. He was able to fix the leak in a timely manner and went over what his plan was to help solve the problem. What I really liked was his honesty! Pretty fair in pricing. And was able to get a 1 year warranty on the parts. I was very happy at the end of the service. Highly recommend anyone to give this company a call. I'll definitely be calling again if I need their service in the future.

Very honest company....free estimates.   My plumber was Chris. He showed up on time and put shoe covers on before entering my house without me having to ask. I called because my kitchen faucet was leaking. Turns out my faucet house was just loose on the inside and running down. A simple tightening was the easy solution.  I believe any other plumbing company would have taken advantage of me and told me I needed a new faucet. Will use this company in the future.

2/3/2014: Ryan came over on the same day we called. He busted his back getting the drain cleared in the kitchen. Much hard than he thought but stuck with his quoted price. Nice, clean, respectful.  We will continue to use Ryan. No question about it.

My mom is getting older now and lives on her own, which means a lot of service folk try to take advantage of her. She mentioned she had a broken shower handle and broken inner cartridge, and got an estimate for it - which seemed awfully high to me. My brother chimed in that he had once fixed the same problem himself and that the quote is awfully awfully high.

So I hopped on Yelp and found Purdy and one other business that both had great ratings and gave her their #s. She said Purdy ended up working REALLY HARD for 2 hours, and charged her a rate I won't quote here, but it was extremely reasonable.

I wanted to go above and beyond to thank Purdy for helping my mom. I think they have won her over as a long time client now thanks to their great service and reasonable rates. Thanks!

Had a valve break in the wall of our bathtub/shower. Chris P. from Purdy came out at the scheduled time (actually was a little early if you can believe that!) and was polite and friendly. Chris took a look, quickly and correctly assessed the problem, wrote up an estimate and explained the repair. We accepted the estimate and he went to go get the parts needed from their supplier.

Chris ran into a snag trying to find the parts, they had to be ordered and overnighted from out of state. We had been without water for 3-4 days so Chris came back to the house, came up with a temporary cap on the leaking pipe, and was able to get our water back on to the rest of the house. We really appreciated his hard work trying to find the part and then coming back to do the temporary fix, he didn't have to, but chose to provide that extra step of service.

The following day Chris returned with the parts, performed the plumbing repair, cleaned up (to the point that it looked better after than before he started), and walked me through the completed job.

I would absolutely recommend Purdy Plumbing and will use them again in the future if we need a plumber. I also appreciated the prompt, friendly and responsive office staff I spoke to on the phone.  These folks do good work at competitive prices, and go out of their way to take care of their customers.

I called Purdy for the first time, and to my surprise they said they could come out within 2 hours.  Robert came into our house with shoe covers and was very nice, friendly and polite. It was a clog in our kitchen sink that he fixed quickly and at a reasonable price. I would call Purdy again if we need them, and definitely would recommend them to others.

A few months ago, I called Ryan and he determined one of our upstairs toilets was leaking.  Ended up replacing both upstairs toilets since we figured the other one was going to meet its demise soon.  We ordered the recommended toilet (and I had also done some research and felt good about the selection).  Ryan is a great guy, totally professional, and fair.  I would absolutely call him again with our plumbing needs.

Ryan is still the absolute BEST! I have had him out several times since my last review for different issues, one of which was replacing my broken water heater after the last earthquake. Just had him out again to flush the water heater and fix a couple of minor plumbing issues. Ryan is always so professional and his prices are more than reasonable for the quality of work and service you are getting. The excellent service is consistent from Erin in the office to Ryan in the field. We were looking for a plumber to install a home filtration system.  We had a few estimated, but none as friendly or knowledgeable as Chris who was on time for the estimate and installation.  Chris was extremely knowledgeable and transparent in explaining the installation.  They quoted a fare price and that it will be a 4-5 hours job and got it done within that window.  Chris was always friendly and open to making sure you understand everything.  Customer service was excellent as well.  Highly recommend.

I was having constant water hammering whenever I used the bathroom sink and especially the washing machine.  I decided to get a water pressure regulator installed after doing some research since my pressure was above 80psi.

I did some searching on Yelp for reputable plumbers and Purdy came up near the top.  I sent messages to my top 3 choices.  Purdy and another provider messaged me back very quickly.

The reason I went with Purdy was not only the price, but also how Ryan handled my messages to him on Yelp.  I could tell that he is a very honest person when I asked my questions.  

I called in and was able to get an appointment for the same day.  I was given a 2 hour window and the plumber, Nadel, arrived 5 minutes early.  Now that's awesome. Ryan gave me an estimate for the job and when Nadel arrived, the estimate was the same, so there were no surprises.

I had a lot of questions for Nadel and he was very happy to educate me on the various things that I had concerns with.  He didn't try to up sell me at all. He also gave me a couple of options on how I could place my regulator and also suggested a pressure level that would be comfortable for me.

Everything was done in about an hour and the job definitely looks professional.  I have to reiterate how great Nadel was.  He's very nice and you can tell that he enjoys what he does because the quality of his work is excellent.

I would not hesitate calling Purdy Plumbing for all of my plumbing needs.  I'm sure there are other great plumbers our there, but Purdy Plumbing went above what I was expecting.

I was given a window from 2-4 for the plumber to show up. Chris called around 2:06 and said he'll be at my house in about 15 minutes.  I had to pick up my daughter from school at that time which is about 5 minutes away. I asked if he can wait for a couple of minutes if he gets to my house before I returned from school.  He was very short and rude and told me to call their office to reschedule. He just hung up on me.  I understand if he didn't want to wait but he didn't have to be rude.....

This is the first time using Purdy Plumbing. Andy came out, and was excellent. He was right on time, courteous, and the prices are very fair. He was able to complete a major job in the kitchen the same day. We haven't had many plumbing problems lately, but now that we've found Purdy Plumbing, we know exactly who to call when plumbing issues come up. Andy is the best!! Had a great experience with Richie and Purdy Plumbing. Richie showed up on time and was very friendly and professional. Snaking my clogged kitchen drain didn't work so he went under the house to check things out. He gave me a couple options. There was no pressure and he explained every thing so that I could understand. He also didn't charge for snaking the drain since it didn't work.

We thought about it and decided to replace that stretch of pipe. I left a message on Saturday evening and they called back that day and scheduled it for Monday. Showed up on time, finished quickly, and cleaned everything up.

We priced one other company and Purdy was much more affordable, explained things more clearly, and didn't try to sell us on upgrades we didn't need.
