Just had the best experience with a plumbing company! I used Plumber Boy today for a sewer line main stoppage with no clean-out access and it was a big, long job. David is unbelievably patient; I asked all sorts of questions about the current situation: the possible options, how those options are different, what the outcome of each would look like, etc. etc. I could have asked twice as many questions as I did and I truly believe he would have still taken the time to answer each one in the same clear and detailed way. I'm sure there are many other plumbers who would feel it is a waste of time and unnecessary to explain so much to someone who should just want the job done, but David never made me feel like I was asking for more information than I need to know. As someone who doesn't know anything about most plumbing issues or solutions, this is very important and definitely makes me feel more comfortable about paying for any kind of service. David and Rafael worked hard all day long, and still managed to finish the job the same day, as promised. I'm impressed by how friendly and professional they are, and in stressful situations, you really appreciate their positive attitudes. So thankful Plumber Boy was able to help and that for my first experience with this type of issue, I had a plumber that took the time to make sure I understood every detail of what was going on and what they were doing. Great job!

Garcia was on time and ready to get going on our leak. He was professional and friendly. I hope we don't have another leak in our house, but if we do, I hope it's Garcia who comes to fix the problem. Very happy to have a working kitchen faucet again. Thank you!

I don't come on yelp much to look for services or even to leave a review but I had to do it for these guys. I decided to buy a house and had asked my friend for some advice, the one thing she told me was to get my own plumbers and roofer (I'm a certified electrician) to come in and check out the house before I actually go to deep into escrow. She had major plumbing issues a few months after buying hers and well learned to give that advice to everyone she knows who is buying their own. I decided to go ahead and follow it so I come on yelp and check out plumbing businesses for some reason this one stood out. I called hoping they wouldn't think I sounded crazy for my request but the young lady was very helpful, polite and understanding. she set up the date for the following afternoon. David and Daniel met me at the location and proceeded to do their thing. All I can say is that I am very thankful I got these guys out here. They went through the duplex checking bathrooms, kitchens, the washer and dryer set up, went under the house to inspect and even checked the line that goes to the sewer. After a little over and hour they informed me that I would be putting in major money into the plumbing alone in this house. I honestly couldn't believe it. David showed me everything that was wrong by taking pictures and videos. I thought I was about to lose the 4000 I put into escrow but thanks to a very detailed report with all the footage he took I was able to get my money back. All I want to say is Thank you guys since I didn't get a chance to do it in person that day. I am in the process of closing on another property and be sure I will use them if I ever need a plumber due to their reasonable prices, professionalism, honesty and great attitudes.

I moved into a new house and had a main line plumbing back up almost immediately. First, the home warranty company sent a plumber from another company and he couldn't get it cleared.  So, the warranty company sent in the big guns - Plumber Boy.  They were fast, courteous, professional and efficient.  Plumber Boy got the job done, and showed me on a camera that it was cleared.  Then, I hired them to do some additional work - put in a clean-out to make this easier in the future - and they did that promptly and professionally.  It was a great experience with Plumber Boy from start to finish.  Highly recommended!

Hired them to replace water heater part. Paid them and have been waiting for 3 weeks with zero communication. Have been trying to call daily during work hours over and over to no response. Not reliable, not professional. Any other company would be a better choice.

First of all, they sent Alex, who is a whiz-kid & the nicest, polite-est, knowledgeable plumber in the world. The problem turned out to be way bigger than I thought it was, and Alex handled it all -- & now I have a fully functioning kitchen again -- & he even cleaned up!! As for the company itself, they are reliable & responsible and obviously hire good people.  I would recommend this company to anyone!

David is the best!  Check out his fine work on installing a new tankless water heater.  No more cold showers!  David hooked this up a day after his visit.  Prompt and fast response/quick turnaround - highly recommend and appreciated.

I been having trouble with my bath tub for quite some time.  I had called a few plumbers to get an estimate on what the problem could be, but kept getting different answers.  I finally decided to try them last and see what they would say.  The young lady I spoke to over the phone was very polite and was able to schedule me within the same day. Dave and Daniel showed up half an hour later, checked out my tub informed me what the problem was and gave me a very reasonable price.  Street they completed the work they made sure my bathroom was cleaned (not something most plumbers do) and thanked me for my business.  I felt appreciated, you don't see that type of customer service anymore.  I will keep using them when needed and well highly recommend them.

If you're looking for a plumber, don't hesitate to call.  Dave knows what he's doing and he helps you understand what the problem is and how he is going to fix it.  I trust this guy.  And he gets the job done.  If his schedule permits, I can sometimes see him the same day I call.  He is reliable and trustworthy.  I wish I could give him 10 stars!

David was great. He was on time, got straight to work and fixed our problem. Felt reassured as he was referred by the gas company and he did not let them down. Felt very comfortable and not sketchy like some people if u know what I mean. Just focused at the job on hand and nothing else.  Would refer him to anyone.

Good experience. It's easy to set up an appointment. Dave, the owner, and Daniel showed up on time. Dave was quick to identify and fix the problem. He was also clear in explaining the problem and what he needed to do to repair it. They helped to clean up after the repair.

I called to snake the drain and they were able to come the same day. Great price. Fast and efficient.  Very pleased with the response and customer service.

Stay away from this place! Initially came to make a repair. A week later it went bad again, I have called numerous times but only get voicemail.

What can I say, Plumber Boy is the best!  We had a leaking pipe in our upstairs which was coming down through the kitchen ceiling - David came over and was very sensitive to not causing a lot of damage (obviously some is necessary) and finally, after a lot of investigation he found the leak. It was in a very difficult place under the cabinet in the bathroom, but using his skills and ingenuity, David was able to fix the leak without having to cut or remove the cabinet!! I highly recommend Plumber Boy, they are trustworthy and will work with you to find the right solution to your issue.  You can't go wrong!

There are 2 ways to describe this company- RIP OFF AND GROSS INCOMPETENCE. If I could give zero stars, I would. They have ruined my whole system. My warranty company assigned them as the plumber to address two separate issues. I was having in my house. First of all, it took them over a month to come out and even look at my problem. They also never answer the phone and seldom returned a phone call. Even when the technician that was assigned, Jose, clearly didn't know what he was doing, his supervisor David, never came to my house, despite repeated conversations with him telling me he would. Come to find out after having a second opinion, Jose installed the pump to my water heater backwards and didn't put a sensor on it as it had been before. This caused the pump to constantly run and pull all my cold water into the water heater burning it out leaving me without cold water in my house and zero water pressure in various places in my house. As a result, my dishwasher and washing machine do not work properly as well as many other faucets in my house. He also broke the main line when he tried to turn my water off, and I had to get the city of Long Beach out to remedy the situation. In addition after 2 costly video inspections and even paying extra for them to simply remove a toilet, they still could not identify the source of a backup. I have attached pictures of the parthat was broken and the one that was replaced without a sensor and installed incorrectly as well as Jose at my kitchen sink dumbfounded by what he had done. DO NOT LET THESE PEOPLE IN YOUR HOME !!

These guys are the best!  So super duper nice and they get the job done promptly, accurately and at a fair price.  I actually decided not to go through my home insurance and simply get the job done with these guys.  It's fantastic doing business with people you trust and like!

Never use their service! My home warranty company sent plumber boy for a bathroom leak. He was in rush when he arrived; didn't spent much time in finding the real problem. He mentioned the leak was related to grout on the top of the tub which was totally dry and water was dripping from bottom of the tub. He was unprofessional and rude. I will not recommend their service to no one.

Referred to them by my home warranty... plumber came out and couldn't fix the toilet problem. He said he needed to order a part and he'll come back to fix the issue when part arrives. 2 weeks pass, no phone call. I would call them and leave messages, no one calls me back! It's been over a month, and still haven't heard anything from them. BAD Customer Service!! No business etiquette!! I do not recommend this business for their service!

Stay away! Plumber Boy was dispatched through my home warranty company Old Republic to service a stoppage in my kitchen sink. Not only did it take 5 days before they were available for the service call but the plumber tried to rip me off by telling me that my drain pipe needed to be cut and modified to fix stoppage because he couldn't access the pipe to remove pee trap due to foam filler used to seal area where pipe connects through back of cabinet to keep out rodents. Since modifications are not covered by my warranty co, he wanted to charge me an add'l $175 for the modification. I asked him why he couldn't just remove the foam to access pipe and he would only do so by charging me his full hourly rate of $85 for 5 minutes work while refusing to replace the foam.  I knew that he was being shady so decided to send him away especially after he demanded that I pay the $85 up front. So I filed a report with Old Republic and requested Ken from Up the Code Plumbing who has provided previous plumbing service and is reliable, knowledgeable and HONEST! Ken showed up and diagnosed the issue right away and used a simple plunger to fix the stoppage in 5 minutes. Ken with Up to Code Plumbing is simply the best plumber ever!

Excellent service. Garcia arrived to my residence early and started on the job immediately.

Dave was helpful, thorough and awesome. When you call a plumber you figure oh boy I'm in for it, this is gonna hurt.. but Dave at Plumber Boy was friendly and economical and explained things.. highly recommended!

Technitian Daniel was great, very knowledgeable plumber! He was very helpful and even cleaned up the mess under sink ! He did not leave until he was certain problem was solved.

Plumber Boy is an excellent company.  From diagnosing my issue with two showers to acquiring parts from across the country (and international) to fixing the problems, Plumber Boy (especially Denny and David) were phenomenal.  They did not give up, communicated clearly and were great to work with.  I cannot recommend them enough.

My home warranty company assigned Plumber Boy to look at my garbage disposal. The technician took less than 30 seconds to determine there was a foreign object and it would not be covered under warranty. When I inquired further, he said there was a plastic bag. He told me it was going to be expensive to repair because of the type of disposal I had. He quoted $250. I told him I wanted to see evidence of the bag. He couldn't produce anything. I told him to call my warranty company. He told them he saw a plastic bag. I called the warranty company to have another plumbing company come out. This time, the technician did not find any foreign objects. He even explained that the noise I was still hearing was because the powerful motor was rattling the stainless steel sink. I am so disappointed in Plumber Boy for trying to convince me to spend $250 unnecessarily.

Stay away! They wanted money up-front just to look at a problem I had with a sewage pump and gave a quote which was MUCH higher than the company I finally had do the work. They just pulled a number out of the air.
I also had a small pipe leak that needed repaired, but they first wanted a cleanup company, maybe their buddies, to dry the area first. They wanted $2800 and to turn our water off for 4-5 days.
I called another plumber and they fixed the leak in 20 minutes for $175.
Don't use these people.

The Plumber Boy team di a great job. They removed my water heater and corrected repairs to code that had been installed incorrectly by a different company. It was difficult due to the location and they did damage (minor) the water heater closet door. However, Dan the owner, contacted me, came over personally to assess the damage. He went above and beyond to make things right, by special ordering a new door to the non-standard dimensions, installed vents into the door and delivered it personally. Now that's customer satisfaction!!! Terrific team, I highly recommend them.

David Garcia was great! He quickly diagnosed what was going on with our hot water heater, worked with us and our home warranty to get an accurate quote, then fixed our problem the next day! He was on time both days and was very helpful -- they also have friendly staff in the office handling appointments & scheduling too.

We desperately needed a plumber on the spur of the moment to replace a downstairs toilet. We contacted Plumber Boy and Dave the owner was able to schedule a same day appointment to come out and take care of business. Dave was very prompt, professional, courteous and affordable.  He got the job done well and quickly. Will definitely call him in the future for any plumbing issues. Would highly recommend the services offered by Plumber Boy if you want a job well done at a reasonable price!!

We have used this plumbing service several times now.  Each time he problem has been fixed and in a timely manner.  David is friendly, and explains in good details for a regular home owner to understand what the issue is.  

Some jobs David has helped resolved ... clogged dishwasher pipe.  Garbage disposal issue.  Clogged toilet.

I had a plumbing emergency on 9/13 and the home warranty company sent Plumber Boy to do the work.  The person that came was not knowledgeable and very unprofessional.  He made up diagnoses for what he didn't know.  I found he was incorrect with two of his diagnoses thankfully, otherwise I'd be out $200 for one of the issues he proposed we had, and who knows how much to completely replace our new toilet.  
He broke our drain cover to snake out the drain in the shower, which he was unsuccessful at doing and said he'd be back to complete work and never came back.  
On top of all of that he also had his butt crack hanging out the entire time.  Pretty gross for anyone to see but a 20-something should have learned from his forefather's butt crack stereotype and tied a belt on or at least wore underwear.  
I definitely would not want them working on my home again.

Oliver was very friendly and nice. He diagnosed and fixed the plumbing problem at the bathroom fairly easily, then cleaned up afterwords.
It was also very nice of him to answer my other general questions about the plumbing. Thank you!

I very rarely yelp, but I had to post a  note of recognition to Garcia! Just had an awesome experience with D.Garcia - Not only was he knowledgeable, but extremely professional. My appointment time was set between 2-4 today, he called at 12:59pm to let me know that he will be in my area to service my plumbing issues. Super early! So grateful! He had a great attitude and cheerful disposition! I was even more impressed (without me asking) that he ran back out to his vehicle and grabbed booties to place over his shoes to protect my floor! Thank you so much for your professionalism and for doing an awesome and quick job replacing our garbage disposal!! I highly recommend this company! Thanks, Garcia and Plumber Boy!

If I could give them zero stars I would.  I too was referred to this company by my home warranty company.  The first guy who showed up was basically an apprentice he did not posses the knowledge or the proper tools to unclog my drain.  He left (without the tools he did bring) and said another guy would be back.  

David Garcia showed up and after an assessment tells me I need all new pipes under my house because the pipes are level and not at an incline per building code and that I have a leak in one of those pipes.  In addition he feels I should install a new trap in the front of my house. Of course his company can do all of this work for me.  When I ask about the problem they were called out to fix he tells us it's fixed, yet the tub is still full of water and not draining.  He goes back outside and 15 minutes later tells me he was incorrect in his original assessment and has now decided that the blockage goes beyond the 125 feet my home warranty covers and therefore there is nothing he can do.  

Unfortunately they were unable to perform the job they were hired to do which was unclog the drain and they told me they would be unwilling to fix the leak in the pipe under the house because they're plumbers but not nasty plumbers and therefore don't work with sewage.  

I called another plumber out today and within 3 hours not only was my blockage cleared but the leaking pipe was replaced too.  It wasn't leaking sewage, it was leaking water.  In addition my pipes are not level as David claimed, they're angled.  If your home warranty company tries to send this company out, demand another plumber.

I have used this plumbing company for a couple years.  I have several properties and they have always been professional, competent, and ready to do all they can to help.

When my wife and I were working on purchasing a house in December, we used Plumber Boy based on a recommendation of our realtor.  We were really happy with how friendly and efficient they were in doing the initial sewer line inspection.

No issues came up during that inspection, but later we began to experience the heart ache of home ownership and had a few mysterious plumbing issues start to surface.  We immediately reached out to Plumber Boy again.  Once again David and his team were amazing and thorough.  Turns out there was a major plumbing issue under the foundation in the basement.  David told us that not only could he do the needed camera work to figure out where the problem was, but that he could do all the work to get the plumbing fixed including the concrete work.

After getting a second quote from another plumber, who wouldn't do the concrete work, we knew that Plumber Boy was not only going to be a better price, they were a much better value and experience.  The entire team was professional and were careful to contain their work debris and clean up afterward.  After getting a view of what had been put in, there were a few more issues that expected.  But Plumber Boy not only made sure the job was done, and more importantly done right.

Without a doubt, we will call Plumber Boy the next time we need some work done.

David is the real deal.  He came to the house and made adjustments to our tankless system as well as the faucets in our main bathroom.  He's prompt, courteous, professional and takes care of business.  I had bought some replacement faucets, and he told me that I did not need them.  He reseated the valves in the shower and they work like they are new.  The hot water in our shower was also adjusted to account for the power outage which knocked out our timer on the recirculating pump of our tankless system.  Would not hesitate to recommend David to anyone.  You won't be sorry.  He's all business but quite personable and dependable.

My home warranty company assigned my case to Plumber Boy after another plumbing company was unable to handle it. If you're anything like me, I started doing research on them as I waited for the appointment set up since the last plumber was a total dud. Oliver was sent out and let me know that hydrojetting the pipes was not a good idea based on their size and age, so he got right to snaking the lines. He was able to clear both of them!! It was nasty work, but he was courteous, upbeat, clean, and went the extra mile to make it right! The last plumber left off, and took!, the cap to an exterior access line, so Oliver quickly fixed that with an extra from the truck. They'll be coming back to fix a small leak under the sink soon, but overall, Oliver and the scheduler, were great! I am so pleased with them and I wouldn't hesitate to do business in the future. Thank you Oliver!

David Garcia came to our house referred by our home warranty company to fix our shower pressure and our laundry room faucet.  David was very professional and was able to fix both things promptly and with a smile.   Thanks for the great service!

Technician was supposed to service two garbage disposals and left me hanging without reason on a leak from a garbage disposal for the 2nd unit,  did not give any reason as to why they will not service, he got on the phone with warranty company and tried to be shady about it and at the end stated that he will not service the second unit and that the warranty company will send out another company. Contacted the warranty company and the company had no record of anyone stating that they would send out a different company.  It turns out that the technician claimed to the warranty company that the 2nd unit was in a different address. Wow how many ways can a technician avoid providing proper service.  I should have had a red flag that he was dishonest when he Installed over a year old garbage disposal to replace the first unit and wanted to mix a used part from a different manufacturer on the 1st unit.   When I insisted he does not do so, he was annoyed that I am asking him not to.  He was in a rush to get out because I was his last appointment of the day and it wasn't even 3 pm when my scheduled window was between 3-5 pm   He still left part components out of the garbage disposal, when I reach out the product vendor, customer support stated that the missing parts are important part of the install.   I am physically challenged and it is a challenge for me to travel back and forth to deal with shady nonsense company.
If I could give no stars, I would.

These are very nice people and they do extremely good work.  My home warranty company sent them out when one toilet clogged and the other wouldn't stop running.  The clog was fixed right away, and a new toilet was in order for the other.  I highly recommend this company.

This company is very unprofessional. They left the job site a complete mess. They turned off the gas to all my tenant's units and didn't notify anyone of this and didn't relight the pilot lights to any of the water heaters. I called back to complain and I was lied to that they didn't turn the gas off at the main only at the water heater they were replacing. All of my tenants complained of a gas smell after they left the job. They said it was a coincidence that the other water heaters are not working now and that I would have to call in another work order from my home warranty company. I wouldn't have this plumber touch my kid's toy house let alone your house or a rental unit ever again. Total crooks! If there were negative stars I would apply them to this company.

STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!!! Just read the 1-star reviews and you will see the clear and consistent pattern of lying and scamming that is so similar it screams the truth. I had no choice in picking them as they were hired by my home warranty company twice - once to fix a garbage disposal (which they didn't do, yet reported to warranty company that repair was completed) and then later for a leaky shower head. On first visit, technician stated he needed to order parts, then never followed up but told warranty company job was fixed. On the second visit, the technician arrived, spent approximately 3 minutes looking at needed repairs, said he would need to go to his truck to get parts, then called from truck stating he didn't know if repair was covered by warranty (the same lie you'll see over and over again in the 1-star reviews) and drove off (repair was covered - but why would he not even contact warranty company to verify coverage, and why the lie about parts to go down to truck to then blame lack of coverage for leaving? BECAUSE THEY ARE LIARS AND SCAM ARTISTS!). Obviously this company is DISHONEST, UNRELIABLE, and UNPROFESSIONAL. I didn't know all of this until after second visit, and then immediately asked my warranty company to put a note in my file to NEVER hire Plumber Boy again, and I would suggest you avoid them altogether to prevent the major headaches I have endured (as have too many others) due to their incompetence. As others stated, I wish there were negative stars available.

Plummer Boys were assigned to me through home warranty. They did a great job diagnosing the problems which I thought would not be fixed right away, pending the reports and approval from home warranty. One of the problems was an easy fix. I fixed it myself with guidance from them who were next to me the whole time. I am very thankful for it, especially after many failed attempts by another Plummer company that I called myself. (I didn't read the home warranty contract carefully).

Their technician was really awesome. There was a little snafu with the scheduling, but in the end, it all worked out well. Highly recommend.

When we started to use Plumber boy the service was good and prices were reasonable.  He probably has a day job because he could only show up between 6 and 8 pm, but I did not care. Slowly as we continued to use him, his prices went up and service got worse.  Would not use him again

Came out right away, did the work as promised    Price was reasonable,  everyone  was friendly and worked hard to replace the sewer pipe, even under the house.   I recommend  them. Didn't have any problems with them

David just left our house and we are so glad we found him. My husband and I just bought a 1927 home and immediately the toilet started over flowing with just TP. I called our home warranty company and the first plumber they sent out was a total nut case and said he had to order a part then left and never came back. So we called our home warranty company again and this time they sent Plumber Boy. David saw the problem and said it could be A or it could be B. Let's try A first. And voila!!! No more backed up toilet!!

Plumber boy charged me double-triple what the cost should have been and they do not know what they are doing as the plumber that visited me had problems at every turn. I have experience in this stuff too and if I had the tools I would do it myself. They should be ashamed taking advantage of people.

Get 3 estimates in writing from other plumbers before you decide and don't let Plumber Boy nickle and dime you upwards.  It was an extremely unpleasant experience being taken for a ride by this plumber.

I do not recommend this company at all. We rent and the owners have a warranty company that contracted the work for them to come out and fix the leak in our shower. When he was here he saw the diverter was stuck in the shower position and then proceeded to break it to where it was only able to be used as a bath. He then stated that he would need to buy a new diverter tub spout and needed to confirm with the owners the type of finish for the spout. I was able to get the property ownership company on the line and they told me to tell them to just get a certain finish. The guy just shook his head ok and said he will be back. He even left a tool behind so I felt better that he would be back in a day or two at tops. After 2 days I called the office and the lady told me that it could take up to a week to get the warranty company to approve the purchase. I waited a week and when no word from them I called again but nobody answered so I left a voicemail. I continued to try again every few days but still nothing. I even tried to call the plumber back directly all voicemail. I was left without a working shower for 22 days when finally my property ownership called another company out of pocket. I'm sure the warranty company has some play into this but the fact that the Plumber Boy company wouldn't answer any calls or return calls is extremely unprofessional. Clearly seeing on this page it's not the first time they have done this and I'm sure won't be there last.

My home warranty referred me to plumber boy. It took a little less than a week for them to look at my water heater. Then another five days for them to come and replace it. When they were finished replacing the water heater I was told in a roundabout way that the hot water may not work. I'm currently sitting in my house a day later with hot water that does not work.

Not because I have not paid my water and power bill or gas bill but because plumber boy will have to come back out to fix the problem.

I will not be using this company again.

I'm so grateful I got a hold of David late Saturday.  I needed his help BIG TIME!!!! Out side our house near the lawn is a underground pipe that started overflowing with things that should not be coming out.  Knowing it was pretty late I Yelp plumbers near my house and he came up still open. I called and thankfully we where the last house of the day for him. He SAVED the day and I didn't have to wait for Sunday for a other plumber to charge me double. David and his assistant where amazing and quick and super friendly. I definitely recommend him to anybody in San Pedro or anywhere around the area. Five stars for sure!!!! and affordable a plus! Will definitely be our guy for any plumbing problems that comes up.

Don't use this group if you can avoid it.  They are overpriced, poor communicators and unprofessional.  They didn't provide an itemized estimate before starting the service, as requested, and gave me a call only after they were on site and had started service.  I can't even get them to email me a final invoice after the fact.  If you're seeking a water heater replacement in LA, use someone else.

I'm usually a bit hesitant with service providers that our home owners insurance refers, but these guys were simply great! Very polite, explained the issue to me in detail and fixed everything up without causing a mess. I'll give them a call again next time I need a plumber!

David Garcia showed up on time, calling 30 minutes before arrival.  He was polite, diagnosed the problems quickly, and had most of our items repaired within 30 minutes.  The final item required ordering a new faucet, but once it arrived, he came the same day to install it.  He completed the job professionally and cleaned up after himself.  I LOVE Plumber Boy and David!

Horrible, horrible service. I placed my request for plumbing services with old republic and was assign to plumber boy. According to their tech he was at my house and tried knocking on my the door. Trying knocking on a door what does that mean?!? If you don't mind wasting your time then this is for you.

Plumber Boy is the best! I was having a lot of issues with the plumbing for my washing machine and he fixed it in no time. He's very professional, knowledgeable, and timely. If you're looking for a plumber that knows what he's doing and is customer oriented, Plumber Boy is the one!

I was very impressed with the level of speed, professionalism and attention to detail David and his crew treated our broken sewer pipe with.  David was able diagnose our problem within minutes and had our plumbing working better than when we bought our home. Dave at Plumber Boy is honest, reliable and has a good heart. Most of all he knows his stuff. He's very efficiently handled a few matters for us over the  last year or so. When I next get a home warranty company, I will make certain I can request him.

Do not use these guys....they don't care about you.  You are just a number to them.  They are so busy that they will do anything to get out of your house quickly.  Called them and not only did they reschedule me once but when they came, they stayed 10 minutes and said they couldn't help and left.  Do not use these guys.  I've worked with great plumbers before and these guys aren't them!!!!

This is my first tentative review simply as to the process of calling them regarding emergency all night plumbing work.   I was on hold with music for a while then routed to
an individual, who was VERY helpful, patient, explained things, suggested alternatives
to avoid the added emergency costs of nighttime repair, etc.

Definitely a good experience, easy to communicate.  They currently (Aug 2017) charge
for mid night emergency repairs $170/hr vs. i think $80 or 85/hr in the day.  To me
that's reasonable for an emergency and the daytime rate also is reasonable.  As a
knowledgeable do-it-yourselfer, you can run into all kinds of extra parts, spend hours
driving back and forth to plumbing supplies or home depots etc., and my situation
is unusual and thus could be catastrophic for  me to get into it as a diy type (even with
carpentry background).  

Anyway, I liked their manner, upbeat, helpful, not pushy, not irritated.  

they get 5 stars for Customer service and interaction.

If i get them to come out and do the work (right now i'm holding out to see if it will
last to tomorrow and my landlord will choose this plumber or whoever my landlord
chooses...) but if they do come out and do the work, rather than someone my landlord
uses, i will update this review.  In the meantime 5 Stars for kind patient helpful interaction
at this a almost 10pm on a tuesday night.

Our garbage disposal broke and caused a leak under our sink, over a month ago they said they would call back to verify coming and repairing the unit / leak. They have not even answered the phone a single time after contacting them repeatedly several times a week. Would not recommend to anyone.

Worst company ever!!! Plumber came to look at my leaking pipes, took pics and said he would be back another day to change the pipes. Appointment got cancelled and rescheduled by the company. When the plumber came to fix my pipe the following week, he bought the wrong pipes and said he would be back the next day again with the right one.  Called company to find out the ETA, and they said the pipe fix wasn't covered by my home warranty and I would have to pay $650 out of pocket!!!! Called back my home warranty, and they said it was completely covered! This company is a crook! Will not deal with them again! Bad and shady service.

I don't usually write reviews unless I think they are necessary.  I woke up the other day to find water all over the bathroom floor & dripping from the ceiling.  I knew this wasn't a good sign.  Being new to the area & not much experience with flooding I went to Yelp to find some help.  I called a few companies & all were too busy to help that day.  Then I came across Plumber Boy & called them.  David answered the phone & once I explained the situation to him - he told me that I needed to have this looked at immediately.  He advised he was booked for the day but would come by once his appointments were finished (prob around 6pm).  I thanked him for his help and told him that I would see him later.  6pm came and went - so I called David & he assured me he was still coming but was still a ways away from my place and would call once he was in town.  At 9pm he called and said he was 5 mins away - once he arrived - he assessed the situation and immediately took action.  He needed to go up to my neighbors place to find the leak - which he did & repaired it immediately.  He then referred me to another company to come out & begin drying out my now water logged bathroom.  I have to say that this is probably the best customer service I have received in a long time & the fact that he followed through on his promise to make it over here no matter what time it was just goes to show that this Company & especially David can be relied on.  I asked him for some business cards which I will give to anyone I know with confidence that he will get the job done!!!

Today Plumber Boy came out to take a look at our antique faucet in a 1/2 bathroom. I must admit, the job was going to be extremely challenging based on the age of the sink, however, David and Daniel's professionalism and experience made the problem rather easy to solve. Although they had to take a trip to Home Depot for a few items, they did their best to stay optimistic. They ended up rebuilding a wall mount to handle within the washbowl. A job done correctly that took some time, effort and experience, even after we were told to replace the sink by a previous plumber. I highly recommend Plumber Boy for all your needs and I will be calling them back to change over all our plumbing from galvanized to copper.

The problem is that I have a to pay a non refundable payment for them to come out and give me an estimate. Why should I have to pay them for an estimate? There's no reason for them to offer any competitive prices them becuase they know I wont get my deposit back, so I'm stuck. This is the business model they use when customers are cuaght in an emergency situation and have little choices. Not happy about that.

Dave is the nicest, most professional and best plumber we have EVER had! My son has special needs (and often I get worried with contractors in my home) and they really went above and beyond to make sure all was done perfect and super clean.
He and his team become friends and I am so grateful for their hard work and dedication to fix our issue! I highly, highly recommend Dave and Plumber Boy! Best in the business and we will forever be thankful!!

We had a home warranty claim for a clogged main line and David Garcia from Plumber Boy was sent out to save us. When David promptly arrived he had a mask on for COVID precautions and was very professional. He was knowledgeable and fully explained the plumbing situation I was dealing with. He quickly solved our issue and completed the job with a smile. Much appreciated, thanks David!

Very dissatisfied with David the owner.  He is apparently unprofessional.
I have called him for three days straight to ask him for a breakdown of
my bill for the charges that the home warranty company did not cover.
Plumber Boy demanded payment upfront for the work but took no responsibility to issue an invoice when the job was completed. It took two days to get a copy of the invoice with just a total and another day and multiple calls to finally received the invoice details. David has refused to make courtesy call to a customer. I will NOT use his company again.

We're very happy with the service from Plumber Boy  here in San Pedro  .We  had a straight pipe that must have had a weak spot ( inl the ceiling ) and started spraying, but luckily hadnt burst.   We're getting a few other plumbing problems fixed, now, but need more major work later.  

Their good attitude and work ethic, as well as the quick clean up of any mess necessitated by the work, was well appreciated.

Also appreciated is their honesty about what might really be needed for long term fix and costs involved.

We will certainly call them back in the future for less urgent but more substantial work.   Thanks, Yelpers, for helping us find this excellent local service !

My condo had slow running water in the kitchen only; I called and within 15 minutes had an appointment booked for the same day. The tech arrived at the start of the scheduled window (huge plus), and got everything back up to speed within an hour and a half. The price was less than $90, very fair for the labor and replacement. Would definitely call for any other plumbing issues.

Hands down the most honest plumbers I have ever met.  I always worry, as a woman, that I will get taken advantage of, which has happened to me by a few other plumbers, a garage repairman, and mechanics for sure.  I have to tell you, I never dreamed a plumber would be so honest and tell me what I do NOT need them to do. These guys saved me a ton and I'm glad I went for the second opinion.  Highly recommend.

Denny in the office was so friendly and understanding. She actually cared that I was having plumbing issues at my house. Plumber Boys came out the SAME DAY we made contact, I called this morning, and they had someone at my house by 4pm today!
Which is awesome because we have family staying over tomorrow and we need our extra bathroom fixed.

This is the second time we have had Dave help us with our plumbing needs and we could not be happier with his work.  The first time Plumber Boy was sent by our home warranty company to find a leak that presented on the outside of the house.  Dave was able to quickly ascertain that the leak originated in a improperly repaired PVC pipe that the previous owner had pierced with a screw through drywall in our garage.  He replaced the damaged pipe section and removed that portion of the drywall that had extensive mold.  The mold did not keep him from performing his work.  The next time we had a leak in our ceiling kitchen we again called Plumber Boy (without awaiting home warranty approval) and, fortunately for us, Dave came again.  He not only came exactly on time, but he would have come even sooner but he couldn't reach me on my cell phone to ask permission.  Because it was during the recent storms we weren't sure whether the leak was inside or from the outside. But Dave immediately determined it was from a pin hole leak in a copper pipe above our recently installed cabinets.  Rather than just take the easy route and rip out our cabinets he carefully removed just enough drywall to get up to the pipe and replace the damaged portion.  He and his helper were very courteous and put on shoe covers before they came into our house.  They created minimal dust and debris from their work and cleaned up completely afterwards. And the price for this service was very reasonable. We understand that some people may have a different opinion, but our opinion is that we have had great service from Dave and Plumber Boy and would definitely use them again (with or without home warranty), while seeking to have Dave be the pro to respond.

Called in the morning; by 2:30 Ken and Jose showed up. Very reasonable rate and excellent service!  And one of the neatest things was watching Ken mentoring his apprentice. There are still good, responsive and honest tradespeople out there.  Thanks guys!

Impeccable customer service! From their receptionist/scheduler, to Robert the technician on my case I am beyond happy with the service from Plumber Boy. My home insurance plan referred me to their company, and I am pleased with their prompt response time and repairs. Highly recommend!

We noticed a leak coming out from underneath our sink. We called our home warranty to schedule a service and our home warranty sent Plumber Boy. They came fairly quickly after making the request so I'll give them that. However, after the plumber identified the problem as our garbage disposal/ pipes being corroded which is causing the leak, he said that he would need to order a special part to replace whatever it was that needed replacing. The plumber gave us a timeframe of 1 week to order the part and then set up an appointment. After 2 weeks passed, we got no call or update regarding the order or setting up a follow up appointment.

After multiple calls going to voicemail, we finally got a woman over the phone who answered that said they just received the special part and that the office will call us back to schedule an appointment with dispatch. Another week rolls by...and no phone call or update yet again.

We call our home insurance a few days ago to let them know we would like another provider because of all the trouble so far...and the associate put us on hold for a few minutes, claims he spoke to someone from Plumber Boy, and was told that they would PROMISE to call us to schedule an appointment for Friday (today), and of course...no call, no update, phone goes straight to voicemail yet again. After reading other reviews on here recently, this seems to be a common theme. My advice is if you have the option to go somewhere else, please do. The first time we saw someone or spoke with someone from plumber boy was in the beginning of September. It is now mid October and we've yet to receive any information or assistance.

After a different plumbing contractor left us without an appointment for repair, we were routed to Plumber Boy. Martin, the technician, was extremely quick, courteous, and clean. No dirt in the home and a clear explanation of what work was to be done.

I was robbed of a refund of a payment I made to my home warrranty because of this ill practice I experienced with Plumber Boy.

As a contracted third party through my home warranty, they were to be scheduled for an appointment to repair a leaky plumbing and to change our valve and relocate to the other side of the wall.

On the day, the employee of this business came in and asked if we filled the forms and if we had documentations from the insurance company, an asbestos test for the wall, and proof of a 48-hour notice to other tenants that the water was going to be shut off... Of course we didn't nor were we given prior notice of all these requirements from them.  He said without them he will not do the work, and left. The mannerism was that he knew we wouldn't have it and was getting paid just to show up and say he inspected it.   And for this reason, I was not able to get refunded for a lot of money I spent on nothing. Meanwhile, water was still leaking. FYI the home warranty noticed the request for an asbestos test was not notated in their communication.

They're legit scammers. Honestly the worst experience we've had with a plumber. Guy came out for home warranty related gas leak. We explained to the plumber what the city told us and he straight up left. We lost an $85 service charge that they won't refund because he came to our house. He never even looked at the gas lines. Didn't go under the house. Not sure how he was able to come up with a diagnosis without even looking. But somehow he diagnosed the issue and left all within 10 minutes. Absolute joke of a company. Stay away.

Our home warranty sent them over and I was initially skeptical as other plumbers sent over via our home warranty service have not been great. Plumber Boy was a notable exception. The plumber they sent was professional, knowledgable, thorough, and pleasant to talk to. I would definitely call them again if the need arises.

They over charged by 20%, Broke tile and made two holes in the front screen door on their
exit!  When I called there was no one to speak to they were allout of state.  The young woman on the phone tried to tell me they didn't go into the unit but they had to as that is where the water heater is that they replaced.  She was most insistent that they did not go
inside.  I left my name & # but no one called back .........NEVER AGAIN.......BE AWARE‼

My home warranty company set me up with Plumber Boys. Robert was fantastic, extremely professional and super nice. They got my two sinks unclogged and fixed the levers on my faucet.

I see there have been mixed reviews, my experience was perfect. If I had a non warranty issue I wouldn't hesitate using them.

This business has failed to return my call multiple times and are clearly not responsive.

How can you trust a business to do good work when they can't be bothered to effectively communicate with their own customers?

I used plumber boy a few months ago when my upstairs bathtub wasn't draining

I called and spoke with Denny and David came about 20 minutes later , he was very nice and professional and informative , he worked and got the drain all cleaned out and we were back in action

Today I walked into a literal nightmare , my upstairs was backing out into my downstairs bathroom , it was like gushing , I freaked out and called Plumber boy
They had a guy who was finishing up on another job come out , Daniel arrived and pretty quickly assessed what the problem
Was ( main sewer drain was clogged ) and started working, he asked me
Questions about the property and we discussed Maintenence and other options
I feel like everything was extremely professional and that Daniel , much like David was a very down to earth thorough professional , I have given their business card to a few of my friends and I take comfort knowing a have a professional plumbing service I can rely on should I have any issues in the future

Dave the owner came out to do the job.  He immediately knew where to look for the main drain and got the job done quickly, efficiently and was very tidy.  Appreciated his pricing for a Sunday.  Much less than other plumbers we called.  We are d finitely keeping his card!!

Technician was in a hurry did a half assed job... Didn't fix problem... called nxt day re: service and they made excuses on why could not fix.....had to call another  company to fix...would not recommend using plumber boy....

Insurance company sent out two plumbers before Plumber Boys came to the rescue.
First plumber gave up without trying anything. Second snaked the line and said that he was going to need to replace the pipes. $1800!? He was suppose to hydro jet and didn't even try...
David and Robert showed up the next day and had the pipes cleared faster than my toilet flushes!  I will use them again in the future if needed and will be recommending them to anyone that has any plumbing problems.

I've used Plumber Boy, specifically David Wisner, a few times in the past year or so.  David is very professional and personable.  He respects your time and always comes within the estimated time frame.  He does a very thorough job and he's familiar with the quirks in my condo complex.  I'd use him again in a heartbeat but hoping I won't need to.

I didn't know whether to write an update or edit my review.  While I want to let Yelpers know what initially happened, I also want to make it right for Plumber Boy, because they made it right for me.

I had a slow leak inside the walls that manifested itself in a drip from my garage ceiling.  All I could think was uh-oh.  As I was also driving into my garage from taking ill with the flu, I didn't want to deal with it.  I called my home warranty people who sent Plumber Boy out.  Ken was great!  While I coughed and owed in high fever, he got the permission needed to tear open my ceiling, find the leak, and go to work fixing it.  As he was fixing it, he also noted that I would need drying.  So as I turned over from my flu coma, he also recommended the drying company.  I was very confident in his communication and knowledge.  So before I knew it, the drying company came out to start their demolition and fixing of the mold.  It went pretty fast (fast enough to make your head spin), but like I said, I was confident in the words the serviceman (Ken) spoke.  I give PlumberBoy 5 stars for this service.

I initially had a problem in billing.  The serviceman charged me for the service, but I had already paid my warranty company, who was paying the company the remainder.  I didn't want to fuss with the man (as I had the flu, and I just wanted to go back to bed), so I wrote him a check, with his promise that if the warranty company paid him, they'd rip up the check and send it back to me.  Well, I got better in a few days and checked on this.  My warranty company did pay them, so I called the company.

The owner acknowledged that Ken had told him I might need a refund.  We had a delay, bank fees charged, and another mix-up, due to the owners' unforseen circumstances, but they made it right. They immediately called upon my initial Yelp post, explained the situation via phone, and set an appointment to 1-apologize in person, 2-pay my bank fees, and 3-offer me credited services.  : )  They went above and beyond to earn their 5+ rating!

This business is a scam. They never got back to you after taking your money. Their customer service is never reachable when I tried to call them several times and it went straight to the voice mail. I don't know if they are still in the business or what but it's definitely the worst Plummer that I have ever encountered.

Alex was sent to do work on a leak. He found the issue quickly and showed me the leaking drain pipe. He also went above and beyond to make sure that the leak was fixed correctly (even though it took longer than he initially thought). Alex was extremely professional, respectful, and treated me and my home with the utmost respect. I am extremely thankful and happy with his work. Highly recommend Alex. Thanks Alex!

This company is amazing! I had five plumbers look at my GROHE shower fixtures and everyone told me that my situation was too complicated or that GROHE parts were too hard to get so they couldn't help me. David was the first person to actually work at fixing my problem. I knew the plumber boy was different when before the actual appointment date, they asked me for photos and any information about the problem so that they could get as much info as possible coming in. David committed to our issue and was genuine in wanting to help us get to the bottom of our problem. It wasn't easy but he took everything apart, discovered the potential issues and started to work on one thing at a time. By the time he was finished our problem was fixed and no new parts needed to be ordered. Our home warranty company sent the plumber boy to us and we are so grateful that they did.

My water heated busted. It took 5 hours to take out the water heater only to learn they could not replace the water heater due to the size of the old one. Now why they didn't figure that out at initial assessment the week before is beyond me. After a day we decided to go tankless. It took a week of follow up and messages to confirm installation date.When they came For the reinstallation they were there from 10am to 9pm.  They left a nail sticking through the wall and a collapsed closet....but I do now have a water heater that works.

If I could give less than one star I would. This company has been out to try to repair my kitchen plumbing problems since August and yet to date the stoppage is still not repaired. This is the fourth time they are going to try to fix the problem. The problem is probably their employees but it is their company. Along with leaks and stoppages they also had to replace the kitchen faucet. When the plumber showed me what they were going to replace it with, of course, the cheapest they could find, I told the plumber I did not want it and I would rather get a cash out from the warranty company. He installed it anyway and now they won't remove it and Fidelity Home Warranty will not give me a cash out. These two companies are the worst. Don't use them!! I have the stoppage again and its Thanksgiving in a few days. Neither of these companies care!!! As soon as, or when this issue is fixed I intend to change home warranty companies and I will never allow Plumber Boy to work on my property again.

I scheduled their services a week ago, and took time off work to be here at the scheduled time. I was told he would arrive on time or I would be called if he was running late. Well, an hour late, I call and he's in the middle of a job in another city an hour away! When I complained about this to the company, I was hung up on!! I will be finding another reliable company to get my business. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME!!

This company was assigned to me through my home warranty insurance. The last Saturday of the year, right before Christmas and believable it or not - they made my day. My assigned technician Robert Bentino; awesome guy - honest and no non-scene. Did his job, got my pipe cleaned and everything back to normal in less than hour.

Dave was assigned to do our repairs by our home warranty company.  He did a great job fixing our plumbing issues, and I will definitely use him again in the future. The shower was only giving out hot water and the valve needed to be replaced. The valve was improperly installed by the previous owner's tile contractor and the valve was cemented in. Dave had to get a special tool to pull out a stripped bolt and he put in some extra elbow grease to get the valve out, at no extra cost to me. He also gave me a good deal on a new hose bib for my garden water faucet since the old hose bib was leaking and rusted out.

Home warranty sent Dave of Plumber Boy out to fix our stopped up bathroom.  Dave was the third plumber to look at this toilet; the other two tried to upsell a toilet removal, while Dave fixed it in 15 minutes.  Dave also took a look at a leaky faucet as a courtesy.  I would definitely call them again.

Plumber boys saved our lives! They were the second plumbers called from our warranty company to solve a plumbing stoppage at our house. They came after hours in the evening, made a quick diagnosis and was able to solve the problem. They were courteous and knowledgable, and more importantly came when they said they would. They gave us recommendations that no one else had given to us before and gave us ideas of what needed to be done in the near future. Definitely will be using them again!

Run like hell from this provider! Tell your insurance to assign you to another plumber!! I'm not sure who these people are that are posting such great reviews... be very suspicious of them. If you still don't believe me...They will try to talk you into cashing - out. Don't do it! Tell them to do their job! Cashing out allows them to make the quickest buck from the insurance company without doing anything except showing up at your home and stating a problem. Cashing out usually won't cover your cost. I could go on and on about this company but I won't. Just spare yourselves!!

Bunch of ripoff artists. Be careful, they will lie and cheat you. I even tried to deal with the owner David and he was worse than the technician. Don't say no one told me after they get you.

Dave did a fantastic job. The new water heater would not fit the pan that was installed in the cabinet and a new round one would not allow the door to closed. Dave found someone to fabricate a square pan and everything fit. The alternative was to extend the cabinet into the hallway.  Thanks Dave, for all your hard work.

I had a leak under my kitchen sink, and David Garcia from Plumber Boy was on the case! They came so fast (under 2 hours) and the girl making the appointment was so sweet. David was quick in fixing the problem and even offered me a 60 day warranty! Well done.

Whenever I read glowing reviews on yelp, I think to myself are they kidding? No business can possibly be that good!!   Well, believe me, this Plumber is THE REAL DEAL.  We are so fortunate to have found David at Plumber Boy!

David is my idea of the ideal plumber. The kind of plumber you would not hesitate to recommend to your best friend. He listened to the history of our problem and gave me several levels of fixing the problem, good, better and best. Our home is part of a two on a lot condo here in REDONDO BEACH. The homes are only 5 years old, but unfortunately the underground drains into the city sewer line are probably 40 years old. The drain is subject to tree roots that clog the line and then causes a literal eruption in our front yard, on to the sidewalk and into the street. Unfortunately this kind of repair is not something that you can take your time and shop around for a good plumber. To top off the problem, the city was made aware of the issue and came knocking on our door with orders to get it fixed NOW! They ordered a steam cleaning truck to clean off the street and sidewalk and if the drain was not fixed we would be reported to the health department. Oh joy!
As luck would have it, I had a plumber scheduled this week that was being sent out my home warranty provider to fix a leaking flush valve on one of our toilets. I had never met this plumber, it was just the warranty company choice. So I took a chance and called this plumber Plumber Boy and asked David from PLUMBER BOY to help me out as I was a Damsel in Distress up to my @&!? In a gushing sewer line . A really messy and SMELLY problem. He could have said NO, He had already been working for the last 16 hours, but luckily he answered my cry for help and came to our rescue! Plumber Boy will be our go to plumber from now on. The only problem I see is that he is NOT a franchise so there are not a whole fleet of PLUMBER BOYS out there , but he is expanding and training more in the very near future . GOOD NEWS!!! He is the first plumber I have ever worked with that was honest, and I did not feel was just trying to get the bill as high as possible.

He first tried to use a Tri-blade rooter, but 2/3 of the through the line the monster roots in our clogged drain, BROKE the 3/4inch cable. We ended up having to hydro jet the drain, and that did the trick. The sewer line was flowing again. YIPPEE! But going forward this solution will probably not be permanent as the tree roots will grow back. David suggested that we do a liner that goes the length of the pipe and will keep the roots out because there will be no cracks in the line as there are with the present clay pipes, which our HOA will start saving up to do in the near future.

David arrived at our house after our water heater broke. He was fantastic, being very respectful of masks and was informative of the issues. He got it working again temporarily which was a savior, but also when it broke again he spent 15 minutes on the phone with me walking through steps on how to fix myself. After that didn't work, he worked hard to fit us in for a full replacement on short notice.  Once he was done, it all worked and we've had no issues since.  Would call again if had any issues.

Great service at a very reasonable price. We had kitchen sink drain clogged. I tried to use a drain snake to get rids of the clogs, but was unsuccessful. I reached Plumber Boy for help. David came and not only solved the problem but also provided recommendations on how to avoid it in the future. I am definitely going to use his services in the future.

I have had the worst experience possible. I would never use this company. There's nothing I want resolved from this company except my money back and for their rating on BBB to go down. I had a plumbing stoppage and contacted my warranty. They charged me a service fee and sent someone out from Plumber Boy who told me he couldn't fix it unless I had someone clean up the sewage and water damage. And the warranty doesn't cover that. Water restoration company came and told me I had a leak in addition to the stoppage. and they could clean everything up but it would get damaged again unless I fixed the leak. Told Plumber boy and they came and checked, said yep I have a leak from the shower but can't tell me where it is because dirt is in the way. I had the water restoration company come and clean up all the dirt and sewage. Called Plumber Boy to come back out. The morning they were supposed to come they call me and tell me that to fix the problem they'll have to remove the toilet, and the warranty doesn't cover for that because it's considered access. (Keep in mind the sewage was underneath the house in a crawl space, so if they were just going to fix it by ripping the toilet off, why did they require dirt to be removed?) Plumber said they told the warranty they'd have to go through the toilet and the warranty was supposed to tell me. (Considering the plumbing company was going to receive the money you think they would have told me themselves.) After calling the warranty to figure out what was going on and being told they'll pay to fix the problem but they won't pay for access to the problem I gave in and contacted Plumber Boy back, telling them I'd pay. I didn't hear anything from the plumbers for a few hours so I called the company to find out what happened and they told me they no longer had the order, my warranty cancelled it. Contacted my warranty and they told me Plumber Boy said they couldn't do the work and cancelled the order. Home warranty then transferred the order to another plumber. Then so they wouldn't get in trouble, Plumber Boy called the warranty and told them I wouldn't pay for access.  The second plumber came to check the work. Warned that removing the toilet and snaking it from there wasn't a guaranteed fix and can sometimes break the pipes. He said he could fixed the problem from a side clean out but the tool to do it was in the shop. So he sent the order back to the warranty and told them to send the order to a plumber that had the working tool. Warranty sent the order back to Plumber Boy. Plumber boy said they wouldn't snake it through the side because that could break the pipes.  After a long battle  I give in again and agree to have Plumber Boy come remove the toilet. They come back with the field supervisor, David, and his helper. David doesn't really get out the car and his helper doesn't even come in the house (Even though they are supposed to be there to remove the toilet and fix my stoppage). David's assistant went underneath the house for a couple of hours and came back to tell me they can't fix the problem, pipes aren't the proper pipes and the warranty doesn't cover that. I contact the warranty and they tell me not only are they not going to cover fixing the problem, they won't fix anything in my house ever until the pipes are replaced. I explain that the warranty says they cover replacing pipes. They tell me they do, but not in this situation based on the plumber's report. I share that those were the pipes when I bought the house and that they were the previous warranty on the house and was just transferred to em. It doesn't matter, they're going by the plumber's report. Plumber Boy came out to my house 3 told, did absolutely nothing every time, and still got paid by the warranty. It's a glorified legal scam of a company. After dealing with them I used google to find a plumber, he came and was able to fix it in one day, using the side clean out like the second plumber suggested. If I could leave this scamming company negative stars I would. No one should ever use them.

Outstanding service at an affordable price.  After going thru four different companies who couldn't find or fix the issue, we found the best outfit in South Bay.  

Dave and his team were very professional, knowledgeable, and most importantly dependable!  They kept us appraised of our situation with great customer service and took made a major repair affordable finishing the project ahead of schedule and under budget.  

Don't waste your time with anyone but the best.   I highly recommend them and know who to call for our planned remodel project!

Worst Customer service provided by their so called plumber (Ken). Definitely not a company I would recommend. One simple employee can make a huge difference on the appearance of the entire company.

I was assigned this company by my Home Warranty Insurance Company for a plumbing issue. I do have to admit other employees such as Jeni, who scheduled my appointment was amazing and very friendly. From that contact I felt comfortable and was looking forward to this whole experience. At the day of the appointment Ken shows up. Without even greeting he starts to ask questions. These questions could seem normal to some but the way they were presented, felt as if we were being interrogated. Most awful personality.

Once he asked what he wanted he turned around and started walking away. My partner who was behind him tried to ask a question and got our home door shut in front of his face by this Ken person. Now how rude is it to have some complete stranger shut your own door in your face. When asked why he did it, he kept walking towards his car and said, wait for a call from Fidelity.  

So for having this particular plumber out to my house resolved nothing. I am back to square one in not knowing what my issue was. I immediately called the companies office again and expressed my dislike on this person. Jeni picked up the line and assured me that they would make sure this didn't happen again. I do appreciate the call from Jeni and her supervisor but that doesn't change the awful experience their technician left for me.

I would give more stars but I'm going based solely on what I experienced from Ken at my home. So watch out if Ken gets assigned to go to your home, this man is just plain RUDE!

We recently had some work completed by David Garcia a tech at Plumber Boy.  He was very professional and honest, which was a God send based on past experience we have had with other plumbers/plumbing companies trying to upsell (aka rip you off) you because you are at their mercy.  Well, David was really professional and fixed our valve problem in the shower.  Currently, he is working on a hot water pressure problem that turned out to be a need to replace a piece of the hot water copper pipe.  He went under the house and took a video of the problem to show me that there was a problem, again which is very honest of him.  I recommend this tech and company they seem to know their stuff and are very reasonable.  David was also very responsive and explained everything to me so that I could understand.  Use this company and ask for David he's the best plus he'll fit under your house in the crawl space : ).

I'll just start out by saying Plummer Boy was assigned to me through my home warranty. I was able to schedule an appointment the same week but was concerned about the long time frame of arrival, 4 hours. I was reassured that the plumber would put me at the top of the list as the first stop. The day of the appointment the plumber called to say he would arrive within 10 minutes. When 15 minutes passed I called to hear he arrived. He brought up what was needed. I informed him of the diagnosis from a previous technician and so he began snaking the washer drain. About 30 minutes later it was complete. The washer drain was unclogged, for now, and that was all that could be done.

Very unsatisfied with the service!! We had water leaking all over our kitchen floor.. We contacted our home insurance and they sent them to come check it out.. The plumber came, he took a glance and kept saying that this is not covered by the insurance and that is not covered by insurance.. I wanted him just to diagnose the problem first.. He said he would need to cut the wall to access the pipes and need to come back the next day.. Of course I told him yes, anything that is needed to be done to fix the problem. He came back the next day and I took another glance without even cutting into anything and claimed that our pipes were installed incorrectly so again the insurance will not cover.. I told him I didn't know considering we just bought the house less than a year ago.. I told him that the insurance was purchased after escrow with the proper home inspection.. He calls the insurance and told them that I had recently remodeled my kitchen and the pipes were installed incorrectly.. So of course they denied my claim. I asked the plumber and asked why would he say that to the insurance company when it wasn't true.. He claims he didn't say it that.. But somehow the insurance denied me because of that.. They were lazy.. He didn't even diagnosed correctly.. He just assumed the problem.. And now he caused so the insurance won't cover my claim.. No only did he not help my plumbing problems.. He made it worse! Now I have to fight with the insurance to get them to approve my claim.. I understand if it's a big job, but If they are that lazy doing it.. Than just tell me, I will find someone else.. Don't ruin it for me and now I have to prove to the insurance company that it was remodeled prior to purchase!

We had a water leak in our house. We called Plumber Boy through our home warranty, Fidelity National, which is awful. The plumber came out and did the work the first time. I noticed one of the toilets still had a leak and I called them back. The person there wouldn't do any work since the water was not actively leaking. This is because I had shut off the water to the toilet. I would definitely not recommend them. A lot of better plumbers available on Yelp.

Home warranty sent Plumber Boy (PB) to fix our plumbing issues. We were experiencing back up in both bathrooms. PB also was sent out for the stopper in our hallway bathroom. PB fixed all our issues in a timely and professional manner. PB also recommended proper maintenance care for our drains in order to avoid future problems. Overall, very satisfied with their service and would recommend them for your plumbing needs.

My home warranty company sent this plumber out to repair a minor drain leak.  When he got here, he refused to do any work saying there is fungal growth.  It's just a little bit of mold. Then right away he referred some mold removal company called dry down, which has a 2 star review on Yelp.  Now I basically spent $65 deductible for him to come out and do nothing.

I will be using my own remodeling contractor to fix this.  This is not an honest plumber.

David gave great service. He took his time to make sure that each plumbing issue was solved.

The best price out there. I called a couple companies first and plumber boys had the lowest price and they came to my house in an hour to change the pilot on my water heater. I highly recommend.

The cats knocked my tweezers down the bathroom sink drain - the third pair in the last couple months... and knocked them open side up. I had my husband remove the trap under the sink but, in doing so, he twisted a bit too hard and snapped the pipe protruding from the wall in half. I'd noticed there was a little corrosion on the top of that pipe. I didn't realize it was about to completely disintegrate. My husband, much annoyed at this point, fished out my tweezers, handed them to me and said, Well, here are your damn tweezers... and now, we need a plumber.

So... I got on the computer and looked up plumbers in our area, found Plumber Boy, read all the glowing reviews, sent a message explaining our issue and, even though it was about 7 in the evening and after their work hours, David wrote me back at 11 PM that same night. I called him back in the morning. Let me just say, even the phone call was pleasant. I could tell this was a guy who enjoyed his work but who was also fair and reasonable. This Friday after a holiday weekend so I didn't expect him to rush out that same day or even on Saturday. Figured  someone this nice with such great reviews here is probably in high demand. We set up an appointment for the following Monday and, in the meantime, my husband and I just brushed our teeth over the tub and toilet. :)

David gave me a window between 2 and 4 that afternoon. He arrived at 2:30. He was great with our crazy dogs, managed to squeeze into our tiny bathroom, assessed the situation and said it was actually better than he expected. He explained everything he was going to do in lay terms that I could understand - and then he went to work doing everything he said he was going to do... and also pointed out our toilet was leaking water and offered to fix that as well. Oh, you bet! And he did. All this, in about an hour! And his rates - let's just say my husband warned me plumbers were super expensive... and that this was not the case at all. Plumber Boy is VERY reasonable and David is honest and fair. I liked that a lot.

David - a fantastic person doing good work. I told him, as he was leaving, that although I hoped I wouldn't be seeing him anytime real soon (knock on the pipes that all pipes stay intact), you better believe I'm going to be calling him again the next time we have a plumbing issue. For as long as he's local and as long as we are, too, Plumber Boy is the plumber we'll be calling any time we have a plumbing issue from now on. David is THE BEST! And he's good with crazy, barking dogs, too.

First and foremost, I want to say HANDS DOWN, the folks of Plumber Boy are the absolute best to work with.

Plumber Boy fixed a broken shower valve that another company in my area failed miserably with.

January 2017, I noticed that my master bedroom shower was only putting out scalding hot water, no cold water. My home warranty provider, Fidelity National, contracted a reputable plumbing company in Long Beach to do the fix.  After a 5 minute visit to my house, the plumber determined the problem to be a broken temperature valve and said he would be back to fix the issue.  Never came back. Then they sent another guy over, never came back. Then they sent a supervisor. He never came back. After 4 months of going back and forth with this company about why the problem was still not fixed (lots of waiting, vague answers, shady explanations, excuse after excuse), I finally had enough! I called Fidelity to send over a new plumber.

May 2017, David of Plumber Boy (San Pedro) shows up at my house. From the first impression I knew this guy was all business. David took a look at the valve and immediately recognized it to be a hard-to-find, rare Kohler part that had to be special ordered from another state. He also said that the valve unit was complex and that a lot of work will be required to get the old parts out, and the new parts in. He said it wasn't going to be easy but that he would get it done. Basically, the other company quit on the job because the job was too complicated. Being disappointed in the past, I was a bit skeptical.

Over the next few weeks, David worked on the damn shower valve. During one visit, he spent 3 hours straight with it. The problem was way more complicated than we initially thought but he never gave up. Guy was one the phone looking for parts, driving all over southern California to find things and just dealing with the whole situation like a beast! There was also a time when his supervisor and colleague came by to help. They were all determined to get things right, regardless of how long it took or how difficult it was. Fast forward to today, I now have a shower that works PERFECTLY.

Long story short, Plumber Boy is the ish. If you want an honest, no-nonsense, professional plumbing company to work with - these are the experts to call! My man David was awesome. He was professional, courteous, upfront and honest, provides timely updates, doesn't give up, and always on time at the house. His work is SOLID.

Wasted a week with this company, they agreed fix pipes but when I called to schedule it, they said won't do it because of liability. Hired another company and after pipes were fixed found that the original estimate of PB was wrong since they were going to cut more pipes than needed.

Being a general contractor, it is important to maintain positive working relationships with other professionals within the industry. David makes this incredibly easy as he is always on time, clean, knowledgeable, and fair with his pricing. I have referred him to several clients and will continue to. I feel confident putting my stamp of approval on his work, be it for a home owner or another contractor.

We recently bought a house and have worked with a bunch of professionals.  This was the first that I would give anything below 4 stars.  We were assigned Plumber Boy through our Home
Warranty coverage.  The plumber came to do a simple toilet leak fix and left our place a mess.  He threw away the toilet pump and some filthy piping into our small waste basket next to the toilet.  He also managed to go over and get stuff all over my wife's purse and makeup bag, even though they weren't close to where he was working.  Maybe while washing his hands?

Generally lacked any normal professional courtesy.  The guy also quoted us for another job, and the quote was more than double a standing quote we had.

These guys were assigned to us via a warranty. They somehow told us they don't cover what is wrong with our plumbing over the phone without even knowing what the issue is. Worst waste of time ever.

So we have a bad smell coming from the dishwasher (8 months old Samsung) and now Abbas smell is coming from our shower drain and stinking up the bathroom.

We've tried everything:
* drano
* white vinegar & baking soda
* drain snake
* Bleach  

So of course I googled it and YouTube'd it and found a possible culprit. Our drain vent could be clogged with debris (vent usually comes out of your pipes to vent sewage smell on your roof). In the video a plumber cleared the blockage and problem was solved.

Kevin at Plumber Boy stated they don't cover smells. There is a problem with the pipes (a clog that is causing the smell) so you do cover clogged pipes right? You're a plumber right?

He insisted they do not cover or help with smells so again I had to explain it was possibly a clogged drain vent pipe. I'm no plumber that's your job sir but you need to come fix this and thanks.

Nope. Kevin said, Can't come out, not covered. I insisted and Kevin answered, we'll send someone out late in the day but it won't be to fix the issue just to assess and we probably won't cover the issue as it's not a plumbing issue. Seriously?

I've never met a plumber that turned away business, this is a first and also the last time I ever call these guys for help.

I received the worse service ever from this company. Starting with my appointment set for the hours between 8-10am window. I was notified@11:22 that they would be arriving in 30mins. Between my husband and myself we were given different excuses. You would think if a morning appointment was set, the company would have the water heater in the truck and ready to go for the morning... NOT this company. Then they want to collect payment before the completion of work. This company was not of my choosing but used by my home warranty.

Like a lot of the other reviewers, we got set up with Plumber Boy by our home warranty company. We hate our home warranty company (fuck you, Fidelity), but they did a good thing by sending Plumber Boy our way.

We had a rattly garbage disposal for months before finally working up the initiative to put in a work order. If I'd known how easy it was (aside from Fidelity holding us up), I would've dealt with it much earlier. We made an appointment with Plumber Boy, and Michael and David showed up and spent a total of ten minutes fixing our problems.

They were really polite and professional, and they made quick work of our disposal, extracting all the evils that had built up and contributed to that weird rattle (there was a screw in there, among other things, I have no idea what from). We'd noticed another one of our sinks was draining a little slowly and I asked if they'd also be able to look at that while they were here. They said because of the home warranty connection, they could only do what was specified in the work order, but ah, what the hey, they looked anyway and totally just unclogged that sink in minutes, gratis. I tipped for that, but have no idea what they would've charged. It was really nice of them to take care of it, and I'm glad all our sinks are working again.

We're not planning to renew our home warranty when it runs out in a couple of months, but I'm glad to have Plumber Boy for future plumbing mishaps. I think we'll get along fine without the middleman.

I was having problems with my drains clogging up and needed a Plumber fast.

I wanted a plumber who was reliable, professional, and could get the job done quickly. When I first called Plumber Boy I spoke with David who was very knowledgable and personable. He arrived at my place within 30 minutes and was in and out in no time. He also made sure that he cleaned up afterwards which is a definite plus. When I had issues with my drains again I didn't hesitate to call Plumber Boy up for the second time. I was very satisfied with their services and will definitely use them again for my future plumbing needs.

Plumber misdiagnosed my leaking pipe, he said it was leaking from drain but it was the shower valve issues that caused leaking into downstairs condo unit, where my neighbor has water coming down of their ceiling and Plumber Boy sent out by Fidelity home warranty, did a very quick inspection and did not even look at the ceiling to see where the water was coming, misdiagnosed, and got me very frustrated because I knew the issues was the shower valve as my contractor already spend hours trouble shooting the day before. I would not recommend Plumber Boy.

My home warranty sent them out. The technician Alex was fine, but he never provided a report to home warranty until they called them a week later at my urging. I tried calling myself multiple times and always got their voicemail.

Just had our plumber tech come out, Garcia. He made the entire experience pleasent. He took care of the issue quickly. He was professional, and respectful. He went straight to work, and clean up after himself. Thank you again Garcia!
