I have problem with my kitchen sink and I already used the other plumber, but he is not good and not honest.
I really desperate and make me couldn't sleep for few days because of what's the previous guy said.
Finally I found Nasir . He is very honest, nice, hard working and really helpful. He fixed my problem. I really thankful for what he done.
I strongly recommend Pacific Drain & Rooter service. If yelp have mire than 5 star, I will give more than 5 stars. Definitely I'll recommend him to all of my friends and family.

My tenant reached out to me yesterday evening to let me know they were having drain issues and there was water overflowing down the driveway. I texted Nassir and his company late evening (after business hours) about having him go check out the issue when he had an appt available. Nassir replied first thing in the morning and stated he had a full day and needed to be in Oakland like within the hour but would squeeze us in this morning. This company is awesome!!!!
My father's tenant had an issue with her shower head. After talking on the phone, Nazim gave me an estimate and came in later to fix the issue. He later called me to inform that the cost is actually less than expected. I am very impressed with his honesty, integrity. For the whole process, he was very responsive, professional and has a reasonable price!

Highly recommended for anyone looking for outstanding service. Nasir fit me into his schedule at the last minute. Stopping by early Monday morning to fix an issue with drains. Quickly and efficiently, they snaked the drain and got everything running smoothly again.

Even though this was a last minute job, their rate was very reasonable.

Nasir kept in contact to let me know when he was able to squeeze me in, when he was in route and when he arrived. Let me know throughout the job what was going on.

Can't say enough about their service. Will definitely use them again if/when the need arises.

I have been looking for an excellent plumber since I moved to Ca 7 years ago! I finally found my person! Nasir was great. Well masked and covid aware. Friendly ,easy to talk to , and he listened which saved him time on the job and me a mess .. his assistant Ben was equally good!
Pacific Drain Inc. was the only plumber I could actually call and not just leave a message and he answered his phone while under a sink he asked if he could call me back , which he did promptly ! From all plumbers listed on Yelp that I messaged ,with 4-5 stars , Nasir was the most responsive and came The day after I called and did not have to waste my time or his with a FREE estimate! He quoted a price and stuck to it ,based on my description of the problem!
And was the most reasonably priced by far!!!
He FIXED my slow kitchen drain in 10 minutes .
No need for a whole house plumbing evaluations that I was offered or a $79 fee for that! He listened to the sink history and what I had already done and went straight for the problem outside to the trap! Done !
I asked him how to try to prevent this from happening every 2 years. He offered good suggestions.
I asked some other questions and he had very good answers . He could have easily gone for the $400 job I asked about but said instead , that that can wait , no problem!

I'm glad I waited for Nasir when he was away on vacation. When he was back, I manage to set an appointment with him more than a week before the actual date. I was worried he could have forgotten but he didn't, in fact, he was on time.

Nasir and his assistant (Barney - Sorry if I miss spelled his name) was very polite, honest, and friendly. The moment they got to my home, they immediately got to work and after trying out various methods, they finally found the problem that was causing the low water pressure in the bathroom. They also solved a leak in the drain pipe that could potentially be an issue -- thankfully found it in time!

It's also good to know that a few of my neighbors hire Nasir and the team on their plumbing issues. I will be calling Nasir if I ever need any more plumbing help! Thank you, Nasir and Barney!

Nasir and B were top of the line. They had the most reasonable quote, responded to my call immediately, and came right on time! In fact, I was late! I was leaving the grocery store. They patiently waited about 5-10 mins for me, and the moment I got home, they got to work. No small talk, just problem solving.

In our home, we remove shoes, and no questions asked, they were putting their boot covers on out of courtesy. Also to they wore their masks. They were in done in 30 mins! I also appreciated how they inform you about how the problem could have happened.

Will definitely call them for.future.plumbing issues.

He did it again! I called Nasir with an emergency request for my unplungable toilet, he responded with he was on his way. This guy walks in, snaked my toilet for 30 seconds, removed his tools, washed his hands and left! He said he couldn't leave my toilet like that for the weekend so he did it on his way home! I just had the galvanized pipe that runs from the house to the street replaced along with the shut-off valve which did not shut off the water to the house. ( I had used Nasir in the past for plumbing emergencies and even wrote a 5 star review for his help with a sewer emergency.)

He stopped by to give an estimate and we scheduled the job a few weeks out. It wasn't an emergency, he is busy and we had big rains so trench digging had to wait. When Nasir and Barney showed up, they went to work. The trench was going to have to go through a patch of Calla Lillies and seeing my distress, Barney dug them up and replanted. (heart)
Professional, kind, efficient and reasonable. It doesn't get any better: free estimate, shows up, works hard, gets it done, charged less than the estimate he gave, and I trust him to fairly work with me to resolve any issue that arises in the future.

Nasir was very nice to work with, came by to give an estimate and set up installation. It is great that he has a van stocked with all of the plumbing needs, no running back and forth to hardware store.
We needed the water supply shut-off to the house replaced, plus install garbage disposal, hot water dispenser and kitchen faucet. Nasir did a very neat installation and everything looks great.
Another bonus is that he comes with a mask and puts on show covers before entering your home.
We highly recommend Nasir for your plumbing needs.

What an incredible blessing and pleasure it was to have Nasir and his crew come out to our apartment just now! He answered the phone when I called, I got 2 estimate costs over the phone, he was able to see me 2 hrs ahead of the initial time estimate. Incredibly professional, friendly, courteous, kind, respectful, and helpful! They covered their shoes before entering our apartment; i had just put our baby for a nap, I let them know, and they worked in 2 bathrooms without our baby waking up!

Here I thought our sewer line was badly backed up. Nasir is so knowledgable, after a thorough inspection he knew what was up! He determined the issue wasn't as serious as I was sure it was! He pulled out a few feet of hair just down the sink drains, and he so generously slashed the cost of service to appropriately match the services performed. Very pleased with the service from Pacific drain. Got an appointment within 3 days (I stated it was not urgent).
The worker arrived on time, wearing a mask and shoe coverings.
He evaluated the toilet problem, told me what might go wrong if he had trouble getting the part removed, which fortunately didn't happen.
It was quickly fixed, and the price was very reasonable.

Nasir and his staff are hard working and professional. He is very busy, but communicates his availability very well. There was a very slight leak (the worst sometimes) on a new kitchen sink install and he worked with me to figure it all out even though it meant a couple of visits to my house. He recommended that I change out some under the sink piping and he didn't upcharge me on a new garbage disposal. He has had my business for many years.

My sink wasn't draining properly so I called Pacific Drain. The most professional plumbing company in the bay area. Nasir was very knowledgeable and experienced about the process. Gave me a free estimate soon as I called him. A dedicated man providing a excellent service. I wouldn't go to any other plumbing service other than Pacific Drain. I couldn't possibly say enough great things about this company. They were prompt, courteous, clean, wore shoe covers and masks. I have 3 dogs and they had no problem calling 5 minutes ahead of time so I could secure them in the backyard.

My kitchen sink backed up today, I called at 1:30pm and they were here 2 hours later. My kitchen and laundry sink both needed help, and I was shown a hairline crack in my garbage disposal that needs replacing sooner than later.

It's clear that they operate from a place of honesty and high integrity, give them all your business!

Initially I was impressed by their reasonable prices and professionalism. But I've had two projects now that were worked on by them that needed repair again shortly after. And their warranty for their work is only 30-60 days. One project that needed fixing again was within the warranty period, but Nasir was too busy to go out for that urgent problem so I paid extra for another plumber go out to fix it. The other project is past the warranty period and now they are trying to charge me for a service call again for a project that they initially did wrong and for which they apparently have limited availability in their schedule. So again, I have to pay another plumber to fix it. The plumbers I've worked with typically have a 1 year warranty on their work and stand by their work, so this is just weird. I'm hoping my experience is a fluke. Two stars because I hate giving local businesses bad reviews, and they seem very hardworking, but I've worked with a lot of plumbers and I need to warn others that all is not what it seems with the good reviews.

We sent a message over the holiday weekend and Nasir texted me first thing Monday morning. He was booked for this day (a holiday) but after some discussion and realizing he had another job near us, he was able to fit us in at the end of the day. Our family of 7 had been without a functioning kitchen sink for 3 days so we were desperate! Nasir took every COVID precaution and was able to do the work outside once he assessed the issue from inside. He explained what he was doing. A+++ service: Fixed what another plumber could not.

Stop searching - Nasir and his team will be your plumbing company for LIFE. As a landlord, I have dealt with plumbers for over 20 years so trust me when I say this - this family owned and operated business really gets what integrity and customer service is all about.

Had a kitchen sink clog that ANOTHER plumber (also listed on YELP) could not clear. He said the small snake he had just used for 45 minutes (at $150) just couldn't clear it but for another $400 he could go on the roof and blast my pipes with water to guarantee it would clear the clog. Seriously? What a scam.

I reached out to my tribe and luckily one of them HIGHLY recommended Pacific Drain and Rooter. I called NASIR, he came out the next day, snaked the drain and cleared it in about 10 minutes. After chatting with him a bit, I'm not surprised he knew exactly what to do; this has been his family's business for decades (following his Dad on service calls as a kid instead of watching Saturday morning cartoons - love it!). On top of being extremely knowledgable, he was very personable and the price was reasonable. I'd give them 100 stars if I could.

I realized we had a major sewer backup at about 9 yesterday morning.
Pacific Drain was the only company that could send someone out that afternoon even though they already had a full work roster. Ashiq arrived when he said he would and not only did a very excellent job, but was personable, courteous and explained at every step what he needed to do.
The cost was less than other companies we have had solve the same problem in the past. He also gave us some excellent advice on preventing future problems and how to get rid of the odor in the basement around the sewer cleanout. Bravo Ashiq! Bravo Pacific Drain!

I had a problem toilet, that had been intermittently flushing poorly, draining slowly and weakly. I had plumbers from another company come out a year ago and snake it, without much improvement. Two different plumbers had advised me that I should consider getting a new toilet, since this one was more than 10 years old. I called Pacific Drain yesterday, and Ashiq came to my house. He was on time, masked for COVID safety, and very courteous. And, best of all, he figured out the problem and had it all fixed in less than an hour! Nasir returned my call soon after I left a message. He gave me an appointment within a few days time--I did not have an emergency. Ashiq picked up a Toto toilet I had purchased and installed it. He took away the old toilet. A few days later Ashiq fixed a leaking toilet insecurely attached to the floor and water pipe by replacing the refill valve, flapper, seal, and bolts. He called about 20 minutes before his appointments to say he was on his way and arrived masked and with shoe coverings. He did the work efficiently and left the bathrooms as clean as he had found them. The price was very reasonable. The pick up and installation cost me less than I would have been charged by the store from which I had bought the toilet.

Was able to trouble shoot what could of have been a quick fix. But given that our house is over 30 yrs old and the plumbing hasnt been touch ever. It was time for a water valve replacement. They are very good plumbers and honest people. They could of have easily made some money. But instead the helped us save some money. Nasir and the guys are awesome!

Had an emergency plumbing issue when some of our tree roots got into the drain. Nasir went ahead and let me know the cost of the service and told me he would try to get to me between 4-6pm. When he realized that he would not be able to get there until 6:30, he gave me a call well-in-advance and apologized and threw in a $20 discount. His quote was already below other competitors, but he went ahead and gave the discount as well.

He told me that he thought the main line had an issue as well, so he could not guarantee that the rooter service would get rid of the issue completely. He recommended I call in another service to check the line with a camera. The plumbing started to act weird again right before Memorial Day weekend so I went ahead and left Nasir a voicemail to ask him if he could refer me to another plumbing service that he thought could check the main line with a camera. Little did I expect him to call back and tell me that he would stop by early in the morning over the holiday to check the line again! I was so pleasantly surprised, and he came back and he found some of the root residue and cleared it out for me, free of cost. Thanks Nasir!

I had a bathtub clog. I tried everything to unclog it by using Drano, plunger, snake, Green Gobbler etc. to no avail. I finally gave up and decided to search for a plumber. I requested quotes from four businesses and only three were responsive. I decided to go with Pacific Drain based on the high Yelp reviews and reasonable price.

Nasir was my serviceman, and he was awesome! He was friendly and very responsive. We agreed on a 7:30am appointment. At 7:25am, he called to let me know that he was on the freeway and may be a little late. No worries. In fact, I really appreciated the call.

When he arrived, he shook my hand, gave me his card, and asked to see the clog. He also told me he brought his uncle to help. They wasted no time and got to work right away. In less than half an hour, they pulled out the culprit, a long and large clump of hair. Gross!!

Before soliciting professional help, I had been showering in my brother's bathroom. I am so happy that I called Pacific Drain because I can shower in my own bathroom again! Thanks Nasir!!

Called Nasir early this morning about a sewage cleanout problem. He had a full day but made time for it anyway. We have a rental property in Rodeo and I'm handicapped and live in Castro Valley so it's really nice to have people you can trust. Nasir was recommended to us by another plumbing company that didn't work with tankless water heaters. While closing our house we needed the sewer lines replaced in our yard. Brandon gave us a fast quote that the sellers could not find cheaper. Ashiq came out to do a repair on a leaking kitchen sink. After the easy fixes failed (tightening the valve), he ended up having to do a valve replacement. Not only do we have a better valve now, he explained everything that was going on in his decision tree. Communication skills were fantastic, and he kindly answered all of my stupid questions as I tried to make sure that I understood the repair. They will be our on-call plumbers from now on!

My mom's house had a plugged toilet along with back up in two showers and the bathtub. I found out that the other two toilets also did not flush. I plunged and used hot water with baking soda and vinegar for two hours. I finally called Nasir at Pacific Drain after 3:00 p.m. He was on another job and was uncertain if he would have enough time to come to my house the same day. Plus, he was taking his van to be serviced at 8:30 in the morning. Well, he arranged to be at my house about 4:30 and hauled heavy equipment on the roof and snaked out the line. He also ran a camera to see why he had to run the snake 100 feet away from the house without clearing the blockage. He finally cleared it but had to run the snake around a big juniper root that had grown into the line. He let me know that I needed to hire a company that can replace the sewer pipes and clear out the roots. It was dark by the time he left. I have hired Nasir to work on the toilet at my store and to fix a leak from the water heater at my house. He is by far the best plumber I have ever hired. He is punctual, knowledgeable, honest and his prices are fair. I will always call him first and highly recommend him to everyone!

The service was great and took no time to make sure my sewer was clean. The only reservation was when the plumber was be at my house around 1 he did not show until 3. I phoned the owner and the plumber was on another job and he would be at my house at 2 pm. Finally at 2:30 he phoned say would be at my house around 3. Would have been more nice if the plumber could have phoned me around 1 to inform me that he would be late due because he was working on another job.

Plumbing service I've used in the past wasn't able to help for a few days and, as is usually the case with plumbing problems, that wasn't fast enough.

I had three plumbling issues at my house. Ashiq was my service man. He arrived on time, wore a mask and gloves, explained what he would do and gave me an estimate that I agreed to. He was awesome. So professional, friendly, and just a great guy. He showed me what the problem was with each plumbling issue. Each issue was resolved in a timely manner. He replaced a garbage disposal, fixed a slow draining sink, and fixed a toilet with a phantom flush. If I was to give him a grade it would be an A+. Long story short... There was a pool of water underneath where the crawl space was, but we didn't know where it was coming from. It was discovered during another inspection. Anyways, I have several companies a call. Javier was able to squeeze me in on short notice, came out super early to accommodate my schedule, identified the problem, showed me pictures, fixed it on the spot, and the best thing was the price was very reasonable. Nasir did a fantastic job. He unclogged a blocked drain in our 90-year old house after several attempts from other plumbers had failed. He saved us several thousands in demo work and new pipe installation.

He was also punctual, friendly and great about adjust his arrival time to accommodate some last-minute changes to our schedule.

I got very lucky that Nasir and his crew were able to come take a look at a few leaks I had before selling my condo. It wAs a super tight crawl space but they fit and did the work pretty quickly. Seems like the employees and Nasir are all family oriented which is refreshing and felt nice. Coincidentally I also had a gas leak and he was able to come back the next day and fix that as to not slow down the sale process. Everything was very reasonable priced, he provided clear receipts as well. 2 thumbs up and if the future house I buy needs plumbing work he will be the first call I make.

I have an older house (1941) with some of the plumbing issues still to match which means my basement art studio started to fill with ick during a party...yikes!!! Nasir not only rescued me (and my artworks) but also let me know what the issue was...not so great engineering. So, instead of paying the several thousands to rip out the concrete and rebuild and completely regrade the floors and sewer lines...I simply call him every November 1st and have him clear the lines before I start cooking up the greasy, holiday feasts! And he just saved my kitchen sink from a similar fate, saving me and my cooking obsession, once again! Sometimes he gets super busy but replies quickly and is honest with his charging. He is always responsive to phone calls and texts and will go out of his way to fit you into his schedule no matter how big or small the problem is. I had a minor plumbing emergency on Christmas Eve and my water had to be shut off when a pipe broke. Even though he had a full schedule that day, he found time to come to my house and do a temporary fix to get the water back on so I didn't have to spend the holidays without water. He installed a faucet in a sink for me. About a month later it started to leak. He went out of his way to make make time to get back and replace it, without charge. That's the real mark of a good service worker - if they return when something goes wrong, even if (as in this case) it wasn't his fault.

These guys are AMAZING!
Nasir stopped by at the end of his day to take a look on a Tue, he found the problem quickly and scheduled to come back first thing on Thurs AND he capped the leak! Nasir and his crew arrived on time, were efficient, kind and got the job done. I HIGHLY recommend them to everyone! I am so thankful to have found them, they are Fantastic!

Forth plumber to come out to fix my drain. After second plumber gave the same response all I wanted was a bid to replace the pipe. over the phone Nasir said he could fix the problem with a snake. I said I don't think so. he came out and fixed the clog with his snake. I was looking at thousands of dollars to cut a trench through the concrete slab. I do not have to now. Pacific Drain is the only plumber I will use. They are great. Best plumbing service I've ever used can not recommend them enough.

Amazing experience with Nasir! I thought that my low water pressure would be a huge issue, but Nasir went straight to the cause and fixed it! He's either really knowledgable, intuitive, or both. Nasir answered the phone quickly and was able to come out the next day and quoted a flat rate over the phone to unclog my sewers long as my line was accessible. That took the stress off a clock ticking with your typical plumbing job. He showed up right on time and helped me understand what was happening (sludge in clay pipes or offset joint) and how to address. He was very fair and let me know when expensive work I thought might be needed was not necessary.

Thanks Nazim and Nazir at Pacific Drain Inc. for your great service: Fast, reasonable, professional, friendly and honest!

My plumbing went out literally on the night my daughter came out to visit for a week from the east coast. I had a plumber there the next day and he cleared the clog but said it would clog again if I used toilet paper! He said I would probably have to change the pipe and that he would come back next week to photograph the inside of the pipe. He was right about one thing - the toilet did clog again. Since I had an important house guest and could not wait til the following week I tried to get a different plumber in.

Fortunately I got Nazim and Nazir who were recommended to me by another plumber. They fixed the problem for $100. Nazim explained that sometimes tree roots will clog up your pipes and unscrupulous plumbers invent an elaborate ruse to get you to replace the pipe. Big expensive job. All you need to do is put the right attachment on your rooting tool and it will clear out the tree roots. After that you are good to go for another 5 or 6 years which is how long it will take for another tree root incursion.

I would (and will) recommend Pacific Drain Inc to friends and family in need of a reasonable and honest plumber.

Thanks Nasir for coming out with such short notice. I'm a contractor and my usual plumber just moved to Nevada. Read all the reviews about Nasir and figured I couldn't go to wrong. All these reviews are not hype. He returned my call promptly, added me to his already full schedule, showed up on time, listened to my tenant, discussed the problem with her, and last but not least cleared the sewer main. She said he and his uncle were polite, professional, dressed properly, and knew exactly how to fis the problem. Nasir will be working for me in the future. The other day Ashiq (I believe that was his name) came over at 8am to fix my leaking toliet. Pacific Drain and Rooter Service was recommended by a family friend and we were definitely treated like family. Ashiq examined the toliet and grabbed all the tools he needed for the simple fix. Our toliet was leaking from the bottom of the tank and he took the tank off, replaced the rubber piece that was to small and changed the water valve and water line that goes from the wall to the tank. He explained everything to me at least 3 times and was so nice about it. I would definitely recommend this plumbing service.

These guys are fantastic!!! I cannot recommend them highly enough. This is the second time I have had to call them in the last two months. The first time they were the most responsive of all the plumbers I called for my tenant's emergency. It was already the evening but they came at 8 a.m. the next morning and found the solution to what seemed like such a complicated problem ( two apartments sharing plumbing and one apt's drainage blocked so backing up in the neighboring apartment) by finding an outflow on the outside of the house which had been cemented over. Why previous plumbers had never found the cemented-over outflow I don't know. But they fixed it and it was SO reasonable. They also made sure I had a choice of what to do, and they recommended the cheaper way. Today I had to call them again with no water coming out of the kitchen faucet. I couldn't figure it out so called them. I got a call back immediately and he says, let me tell you how to fix it!!!! And it worked!!!! Who says that..... These guys are the BEST. They will be my got-to plumbers from now on.

We had a kitchen facet issue and I was having trouble finding a plumber who would come to my area in a timely manner. Another plumber highly recommended Nazim.

Yikes started this review months ago and just saw I never posted...Back in the fall, noticed sludge coming up through the laundry tub drain on Saturday and Sunday around noon, we were back in business, thanks to Nasir. Our regular plumber doesn't do pipes and recommended Nasir. Clearly she'd recommended one of the best after looking at the reviews. I called him and within a few minutes he gave an opinion on what he thought the issue might be and committed to coming out the next day (Sunday). He was prompt, polite, expedient and of course absolutely spot on with diagnosis.
(Pipe had buildup over the years, and there's a slight flat spot leading into the laundry tub, which is where the backup from dishwasher, garbage disposal etc was going.) Asked him if we should just have it done as part of regular maintenance and appreciated when he said 'no', just call (and he didn't expect given we'd never had the issue before to hear from us for a long time in the future.
Would highly recommend. Hopefully don't need a plumber again...but if I do, will not hesitate to call Nasir.

Christmas Day and the overflow pops open on the side of the house - awesome (not!) We managed to get through our celebration without the use of running water. The next day, we called a lot of places and felt super lucky to have Nasir come out. He was responsive, as accommodating as possible, nice (which counts!), and got us cleared out and back in the game within the hour. He could have charged us an arm and a leg but didn't. What a positive experience for an unpleasant drain clog.
Nasir is a licensed plumber and came same day on time. And his price was less than having a questionable worker from a big company come to my home.

He explained and showed me what caused the blockage.... Bamboo roots... Advised normal time before another bolockage is 2 years .... Longer no problem ... Shorter... Consider digging it out.

He is local to my area... So now I have a real plumber who I can call by name and know I will be treated honestly and professionally.

I don't normally write reviews except this company's service was so extraordinary I have to comment. It begins with a minor toilet leak we discovered earlier in the week. I called the company on Friday. They were booked solid through Saturday but the gentleman (whose name I now know is Nasir) said he would drop by on Sunday around 10:00AM. SUNDAY?? What service!!! And he actually arrived early. The leak required only a minor fix and he ONLY asked for $20...totally unheard of in this business...and for a Sunday call to boot!

This story is less about the actual repair work and more about the company's integrity, honesty and reliability. Thank you PD&RS. We will know who to call the next time we have a plumbing issue.

Cannot even express my appreciation for these guys. Noticed a few days before going on vacation, my garbage disposal was leaking. I didn't want it to leak/blow while my house sitter was there, so I ordered a garbage disposal and located a plumber to come out and install it.. sounds easy enough right? Yeah right. Next time a plumber tells me, do you want me to pick up a garbage disposal? I'm just going to say yes!!! Well, the garbage disposal I ordered wasn't right for the space (long story.. not worth it.. ). They were able to come out the next day and install the disposal. I didn't like it. They could have come back in a couple of days and replaced it, but I was going to be out of town. So we agreed, I would call them the day I got back into town and I would check their schedule. They advised me of the garbage disposal *they* recommended (which was a great disposal at a reasonable price). I went that day to Home Depot, picked up exactly what they recommended. Contacted them the day I got back and they were able to come out my first available day that week. I now have a new working, non-leaking garbage disposal & didn't charge me any more money because he wanted me to be happy (even though this was 100% my fault). While they were out the first time, they also snaked a line for me that has been forever plugged and our developer AND building warranty refused to handle. Can't tell you how much I appreciate them. If there was a way to give this business, Pacific Drain and Rooter, and Nasir, 6 stars I would!!

Trying to have a new dishwasher installed in an older home turned into ongoing plumbing issues until we found Nasir with Pacific Drain. Nasir was prompt, professional and knowledgeable. He quickly responded, evaluated the extent of what needed to be done and gave a fair quote. Not only is Nasir honest, but he does what he says. I scheduled a followup appointment to have the work done. The day before the appointment, Nasir called saying he might not be able to make it on the scheduled day, but 1 day later. Imagine this....your wife is having a baby and you are still trying to uphold your previous commitments!!!! Talk about responsibility to the customer!!!

Bottom line is if you want the work done timely, professionally and at a fair price, call this company. After my experience with Pacific Drain and Rooter, Nasir will be my first call for any future plumbing problems.

Nasir is the best plumber I have worked with across Berkeley, El Cerrito and now El Sobrante. He somehow manages to make a plan to come and help in emergency situations (as plumbing issues so often are) even when he is fully booked and it is not normal working hours. This is how I first got to know him and his Dad - on a Sunday before my son's 5th birthday party when every other plumber was unable to respond.

What is more, he does not charge extra for emergencies and his rates are always very reasonable.

Aside from emergencies, Nasir is experienced and knowledgeable, and able to understand and listen to my problems and concerns, and then suggest pragmatic and affordable solutions that actually solve my problem!

He is trustworthy and his integrity is apparent. I can not recommend this company, and Nasir, enough.

I could write another letter of praise to Nasir, but everyone else has done that. So let me say that, as a homeowner for 35 years, we've used a lot of plumbers. Some have been bad, some good, and some I've really liked. Never before have I had one like Nasir. Yes, he's honest, his rates are reasonable, and he does great work - but it's more than that. It's as if he takes real pride in his work, and wants you to be happy. If I was living in another state and needed a plumber, I would offer to pay his plane fare if he would come out and help us. Update: Pacific Drain did a great job on my toilet in June 2014 - they responded quickly, fixed the problem in five minutes and charged a VERY reasonable fee. Then, a couple of weeks ago (July 2015), my kitchen sink started leaking badly. Just like always, Pacific Drain responded quickly, did a great job on the sink, and charged a reasonable amount. Also, these guys have a great attitude, which is nice when someone is working in your home!

So thankful that I found an HONEST plumber! It's really hard to find reliable people to give you honest information about what actually needs to be fixed in your house. We had a broken pipe in our crawl space and Nasir and his uncle came out promptly to give an estimate. Nasir referred us to an excellent water restoration company to clean up the mess and then he was able to install a new pipe. Nasir wasn't feeling well the day he came out to change the pipe, but he came out and did it anyways because he knew we were struggling without our kitchen sink. If you don't want someone to rip you off and exaggerate the amount of work that needs to be done, hire pacific drain. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Just moved to a new house in Pinole, and very quickly had a sewer pipe backup that had sewage flowing into my bathtub and shower. Not fun. Called Pacific Drain & Rooter, they came out super fast (on a weekend!) and snaked the pipe from my roof, as we have no sewer cleanout. The problem? Tree roots! They cleared out the mess, and were very helpful in explaining what we could do to avoid this in the future. They were so helpful and courteous, in fact, that we're setting up an appointment to have them install a sewer cleanout so that when the tree inevitably invades our pipes again, it will be much easier for them (we'd also like to give them our annual maintenance business...) to clean out. Excellent customer service! Our toilet was making a weird sound and we had no idea what it was. Nasir came exactly when he said he would and it turned out that it was just our water pressure (Doh!) He turned the nob and that was that. Didn't charge us, which we're really grateful for. Thanks Nasir!

This plumber is amazing. He's on time, helpful and reasonably priced. He was the only plumber who actually answered the phone for my emergency this morning and he came right over as soon as he could around 10a. Very friendly and capable. I cannot recommend any higher! Also, last year I had a plumber come out for the same thing and he charged me like 5 times more. So I'm sad that I got ripped off last year. Should've used Pacific instead!

This is my second review for Pacific Drain and Rooter Service.
My water heater was leaking and I call to make an appointment with Pacific Drain.
On the phone i was told I probably would need a new heater and we discussed the price.
I had to work that day, left the key for them.
When I got home my old water heater was there with a note to call. (I don't use a cell phone when i am at work.) I called expecting the worse -- you not only need a new water heater BUT new --bla bla bla.
To my surprise I was told I did not need a new water heater, but only a new valve, they would return with the new valve, drain my heater and put the valve in.
The total price including labor $100.
There more.
My water heater is on a tiny back room used for nothing but the heater and washer and dryer. For years for some reason I never have cleaned it.
When I returned home from work the day they put the new valve in, to my surprise they mopped the floor. It was like a got a new room in my house. The floor was sparkling!
The plumbers i used in the past never even cleaned their own mess, let alone mine.
It is so nice to have a plumber that you trust; I am from New York and in I think it it a little harder for us to trust people.

Our bathroom sink drain was clogged. Again. And since I don't relish racing against a quickly filling sink to brush my teeth, we went online and found a recommendation for Pacific Drain on THAT parents' network site, you know the one. We were able to make an appointment with Nasir the next day. While we were discussing the appointment, Nasir told us he would call us at 9:30am on the day of the appointment to tell us more precisely when he would be arriving (but that it would be between 10am and noon), and--get this-- he ACTUALLY called at 9:30am on the day of to tell us that he would be coming at 10:00am. And then, wait, because this is shocking, he actually showed up at 10:00am! Then he cleared our drain in about 30 seconds, explaining to me what he was doing so you can do it next time. The whole thing took less than 10 minutes and he volunteered to give us a discount because it was such a quick job. I have to admit, I was slightly floored. I have never before interacted with a plumber who was so 1. Punctual (let's be real if they show up the same week they told you they would, it's usually a bonus) 2. Communicative (he called when he said he was going to call; and he called twice -- once to give us an estimate of his arrival time and once to tell us he was actually leaving the prior job and would arrive at our house in 10 minutes) 3. Fast. He was in and out in 10 minutes. 4. Nice. He volunteered to give us a discount.

As an added bonus, when he arrived, we asked him if he had shoe booties (because we have a crawling infant, not because we're usually neat freaks) and he offered to take off his shoes! Although I'm not looking forward to more clogged pipes, when it happens, we'll be calling Pacific Drain & Rooter Service. If you value actually knowing when a service person is going to arrive because oh.. I don't know... you're not a shut in, and if you value professional and quick work, Pacific Drain & Rooter Service won't do you wrong.

Great service! Before I retired I had a small home service business and like to think I can spot great service when I see it. Had a nasty sewage back up and Nasir was able to come out the same afternoon and took care of the problem. Nice guy. Well informed. Highly recommend! Definitely bookmarked these guys.

I called Nazim and Nasir to give an estimate for a few problems we had with plumbing in our new house. Not only they gave me good advice and estimate about fixing the problems, they even resolved the water stream for the fridge, which involved going up the attic which is hard to access, inspecting the pipes there and opening a valve. Remarkably they declined to be paid for this!
Importantly, they were also very clear in explaining the root causes of the issues.
I'm sure we'll call them again . I recommend Pacific Drain to anyone who needs a good plumber.

Sorry, but a plumber who says the job is done and then leaves without testing so that I get a flood in my kitchen is NOT quality service. Nasir is currently here on his 4th trip trying to get things right. Not a complex job, just the pipes under the kitchen sink. Since he started working, the garbage disposal stopped working and he's saying he never touched it when I watched him dismount it so he could plumb to it. And the flood that happened was because he didn't secure disposal and left it hanging loose. Bottom line is incompetence and lying.

I called yesterday due to a leaking main water valve and had to leave a message. I got a call back within an hour and I was able to schedule an appointment for this afternoon. Nasir came by when he said he would, checked out the issue and simply tightened the valve without charge! I appreciate his professionalism and generosity, especially at 5:30 pm on a Friday night. My mom just bought new appliance and after the delivery the installers let us know that we needed some valve thingy, yes that is what we said we needed when we called lol. He stopped by checked everything over and even answered random pluming questions. He gave us the real name of the piece we needed and gave us several options on how in could be installed! He needed to order the piece so we were scheduled for the next day. Let informed us of when he was on he way came in got the job done fast and efficiently. We have a few more pluming problems and will def be calling him back !

We had a toilet that was leaking through the ceiling of the room below. We called a different plumber who came and reseated the toilet. The toilet didn't seem solid on the floor, and the plumber explained that it would need a flange which would be very expensive and he didn't think it was necessary. Well, the leaking continued. I searched for another plumber and someone who had a very good reputation we contacted said they were no longer booking new business, and we should give this young man they recommended, Nasir, a try. Nasir came, evaluated the situation, agreed that it needed a new flange, so he installed one, thoroughly tested the toilet once he was done, and this all cost less than the visit of the original plumber whose work failed. I'm writing this review 2 or 3 years after Nasir did this work and the leak has never recurred after Nasir's work. Additionally, he was very personable, explained everything he was doing, and was a generally a pleasure to work with. I'd certainly hire him again.

I called four plumbers Friday morning around 10am. No one was available until Monday am. Pacific was my fifth call, believe me they'll be my first call from now on. He said he could be here around 2pm, ended up at my house around 12pm. I am normally wary of any company with all 5 star yelp reviews, but I gave it a shot anyway. I called Pacific Drain & Rooter service today after finding that my outflow to the sewer had overflowed. Each time I used the sink or flushed a toilet, it would burble up and make a mess . I spoke with somebody and he said they would be out this evening. Prior to his arrival, he called to give me ETA and was actually a bit earlier than expected. I showed him the issue and within 20 minutes, they had diagnosed the problem and fixed it. When i asked questions and he truly could have gotten far more money out of me long term considering my ignorance on plumbing issues, but he gave me honest answers. I couldn't be happier with the punctuality, service, professionalism and price. I highly recommend this company if you are in the east Bay Area and need an honest plumbing service.

I called several plumbers on a Sunday after a backup in the shower and tub and no one answered except for Nasir. He was unavailable to come on Sunday but assured me that he could come the next morning. I waited to see if I heard back from others but sure enough, I did not and called him. He was here at 9:30am the next morning. He even called me from the road to tell me about the traffic and that he may be late.

He cleared the drains, took a look at our pipes and assured me that if we just bought some catches for the hair in the shower, we would be fine.

Super nice, informative and punctual. He also made sure to clean and wipe up afterwards. I will definitely use his service again!

It's been about 3 years since our sewer was last cleaned out. We live on a hillside with lots of trees and vegetation and have had the sewer clogged with a toilet back up many years ago. Since then, we've tried to keep it maintained on a regular basis. I've been worrying about it lately and called Nasir to come out for a preventive maintenance. He's a busy busy guy and couldn't come out right away but it wasn't an emergency. Once his schedule freed up and his partner could help carry the equipment down the hill, he did the job efficiently and professionally. Super nice guy!

Monday 2am, two of my downstairs bathrooms overflow, down the hall. Not a pleasant experience. Called Nasir at 7am on a Monday morning, and hoping for a quick response. Nasir was v responsive, including calling me to give updates from his bigger commercial job prior to mine, and ended up being able to show up at 1030am, an hour earlier than promised. Then he walked me through the problem, stayed on the job for 3 hours because the mainline clog required pulling out both the toilets, and not only cleared the clog but found a few leak issues with my toilets and fixed those with parts he had. All for a generous (for his time) price.

An incredibly fast response, wonderful customer responsiveness, fixed the problem and more, at a generous price. Wow - what else would you need from a plumber? Nasir is my go-to plumber now!

I have been calling Pacific Drain for plumbing problems for over 15 years. My old pipes need to be cleared at least once a year. It never fails - the bathrooms start backing up on a Friday night or on a weekend. Nasir is ALWAYS friendly and responsive - even when I'm in a panic. Nasir came out within a few days (after ascertaining this wasn't an urgent call), sized up the damage and gave us a quote; then came back a few days later to put in a replacement for less than his original estimate. I had a mysterious flooding problem a week ago that put a half inch of water in my basement and about half that in my downstairs bathroom (the clue was the sloshing sound I heard when I arrived home that evening and walked on my hardwood floor; not a good sign). I called Pacific Drain and the next day, Nasir came over and the two of us tried to figure out what caused the problem. Unfortunately, we weren't able to conclusively diagnose the cause of the flooding (I have a theory) and Nasir didn't charge me for his time. While he was at my house, he noticed that a pressure release line for the water heater had been capped and pointed out that if the pressure were to build up in the tank, the whole thing could blow up (the previous plumber, who had capped the line, must have been incompetent)! He suggested a fix, which he installed today. He arrived on time and completed the work in about an hour.

Pacific Drain is the first company I'll call from now on when I need a plumber.

My rental property in Martinez had a clogged toilet that the tenant could not resolve. I called Pacific Drain for an estimate and Nazir gave me a very reasonable price range. He could not come to the property for a couple days but when he arrived he was able to quickly diagnose and resolve the problem. The total cost was at the minimum of the quoted range, which made the delay well worth it. This experience was very honest, on time, and professional.

One really can't go wrong with Nasir. He goes above and beyond to get a job done reasonably, on time, with great skill and with excellent communication throughout the process. In addition to the superior service he provides, he is also incredibly nice and trustworthy. Our latest job involved a bathroom remodel and required moving a toilet to a new location (not an easy task), moving pipes and fixing some existing leaking pipes. Nasir was incredibly flexible and willing to work around my constantly changing schedule while I was coordinating the work of different contractors coming in to do various jobs. He even came by on a weekend to get the last plumbing jobs completed in the end. Of the many contractors I worked with during the process of the remodel, Nasir was by far the one who was most affordable, responsible, and reliable. You would be hard pressed to find a better plumber out there. I can unreservedly recommend him.

We had another established rooter service drop the ball on us and selected Pacific Drain to do the job. Nasir was very flexible in setting up the appointment, showed up on time, solved the problem, explained the reason for the problem, and charged less than half what we would have paid at Roto Rooter. This was a great experience and we will happily use him again. 5 stars indeed.
