Once again, we had a plumbing emergency where our front yard sprinkler system just started dumping out gallons of water rapidly, flooding our front yard late, in the afternoon last Friday.
I called on Mario, once again & he showed up within 30 minutes (driving to Cupertino from Redwood City in rush hour traffic) & promptly got to work on the problem. He explained what happened & why & then fixed the problem for us.

We're so impressed with the promptness, professionalism & fair pricing of this company & we'll absolutely call them again if we have ANY plumbing issues. We confidently recommend them, 100%.

We had a backup in our system that happened early Wednesday evening. It turned out to be an emergency as sewage started backing up the pipes (ugh..). Kevin from Mario's showed up to investigate the issue. Even though it was dark, Kevin took the time to make sure we could find the access point. Unfortunately, we had just moved into this house so we didn't really know where to look. After fumbling around in the dark for about 20 minutes, just as I was about to give up, my wife fortunately found it! Kevin never pressured us to the backup solution which required draining from inside the house. This would've been more expensive not to mention disgusting.

On top of this, he offered to help diagnose potential future issues free of charge the next morning. You can tell when someone is a honest and good human being, Kevin is that guy.

Would definitely work with Mario's again.

Outstanding service and very friendly technicians! We had a broken pipe under our sink after a new dishwasher was installed. Mario's was the second place I called, the first place (higher on the list) never responded. Mario picked up right away and had technicians at my house in 2 hours. We had a water leak that had been going on for some time underground.
The City of Palo Alto found source. I called our usual plumber who evaded the issue and said we'd have to wait for help -- and water needed to turned off.
I had used Mario's for a sewage back=up so called him this morning in desperation. He sent 2 men out within an hour. They spent the morning fixing it properly and by noon water was back on.
I will never use another plumber.

We had a late-night issue with our dishwasher, where it was making a bad grinding noise, and water was overflowing, so we called Mario. They were so kind to guide us on the phone on how to turn off the dishwasher entirely for free without coming out to a house call and charging us. They were amazing! The main sewer line from our house backed up. We had another plumber come out and snake the line, which they did from a clean out in the house. We then had Mario (and several others) estimate the cost of the repair. Mario wasn't the lowest bid, but it was thorough and fair for the work I wanted done. Before they were able to do the full repair, they came out and snaked the drain from the street side, so that the line was much more usable. We planned on a two-day project (excavate the first day, then repair / backfill the second day). His team showed up on time and got straight to work. The project wasn't simply, because the drain ran under a deck that was only about 3-4' above the ground. They dug it all out and were able to do the actual repair in a single day. The guys doing the digging took good care of the yard (tarps, etc.) and cleaned up very thoroughly when they were done.

What a great team!

I had a flooding emergency on New Year's Eve that left our hot water heater inoperable. They were the ONLY company that agreed to come out and did so on time. They couldn't repair the heater by stayed about 20 min trying to see if it could be fixed--at no charge.

When I decided to replace it a week later, they came same day and did the swap with a new unit. Team was fast, professional, and great with communication.

Updates:
Mario called and harassed me verbally over the phone for the bad experience I wrote. I wish that I recorded the call. This was the worst experience that I've ever had.

I left a 1 star review at night. First thing in the morning (8:23am), Mario called, i didn't pick up the phone the first time because I didn't recognize the phone number. Then I got called again at 10am, i picked up the phone, didn't realize it was for this review. immediate Mario asked I'm Mario plumbing, it seems like you are not happy about our service. why did you write this bad review. I was being completely honest about my experience with him and described why I didn't like how it was done in calm.

After I told him my experience, He said my technicians might not be clear with you. but since $250 isn't making your poorer and also isn't making us richer, I can give you back the service charge but you have to remove this review. I didn't really like the way he treated the issue, sounded like he just doesn't want a bad review rather than apologizing for the bad experience we had. So I told him I don't really care about the charge now, but rather I'd like to stick with my experience and the review.

Mario's attitude then turned 180 and said you were NOT telling 100% truth in your review, you were only 50%. He mentioned that they can work on plastic pipes but the pipe was at a difficult place to work on. However, we had plumbers come to fix it afterwards without saying that's a difficult fix. He then questioned me what do you do? do you write bad reviews as a job? to make money!? (Didn't know that could be a profession). And also stated I know what you are doing now, you are just bullying companies! You are a bully!

So if I take the money and take down my review, I'm not a bully. if I tell my true experience, I'm a bully? Now I started to understand why it's all good reviews here.

it's truly the worst experience! I've never had a service that called to harass me for a review I wrote.

If you have PLASTIC water pipe, avoid this service. I leave this review because:
1. They offered more costly yet wrong suggestions.
2. Didn't inform us they couldn't work on certain things like plastic pipe ahead of time.
3. Insisted to charge the same amount even though they couldn't fix it.

We had a leak on the ceiling through a fan over couple weekends ago. our home is quite new, built less than 3 years ago, we couldn't think of any reason for the leak. Called Mario's since they have almost all 5 star reviews, and got a quote that weekends have a ~$350 charge just for coming over even if they can't do anything, so we booked the first available time on Monday instead.

Two people arrived on time, took a look at the ceiling and claimed that it's highly likely to be the toilet right above the fan that was leaking. They suggested to open the toilet first since it's easier to put back than the ceiling. They gave us a quote on fixing toilet and the ceiling, $350ish to fix toilet and $250ish to open ceiling for fixing. Since we weren't sure what's leaking so we asked if it made more sense to check the ceiling first and they agreed.

Few mins later, they opened the ceiling and found the leak on hot water pipe (not toilet). However they told us that they can't fix it because they only fix copper pipe NOT plastic pipe like PEX. I asked if we can negotiate the charge since they couldn't perform the fix. Yet, they insisted on charging the same amount for opening the ceiling even though they can't fix anything.

Glad we asked them to open the ceiling first rather than open the toilet, otherwise, they would find nothing leaks from the toilet, then opened the ceiling which would cost even more, without fixing anything!

We had another plumber here to check on the leak earlier, who offered free charge to open the ceiling but charges only for fixing. We wanted to get a second opinion from this FIVE STAR plumber and thought it would be similar amount for the fix anyway. What a waste of time and money.

Had Manny and Vidal help us with various drain issues at our home from kitchen sinks to bathrooms, needing to replace pipes and various parts. Both men worked conscientiously. They were focused on their jobs and took care to clean up ( never made a mess the first place） We thank them for their courteous and thoughtfulness toward us and our home besides the professional work they did, so very organized and careful with each step !

People complain often about workers hard to find ,careless on their jobs, late on appointments, and poor attitudes.

We have the opposite to say about Mario's from calling for service, scheduling, on time, and such professional attitudes toward work and customers.

We had water running non stop in our toilet in the master bathroom.We shut the valve and called Mario's plumbing & drains Inc. They sent Manny, a very good plumber who came on time and replaced the gasket on existing toilet quickly and efficiently. Thank you Manny for your good job!

Mario's Plumbing And Drains came to fix our clogged main sewer line last Sunday evening. It was an emergency call. The service was superb. They not only unclogged the sewer line but also found the root cause by running a camera through the drain pipe. It gives us an idea to solve the problem completely.
They had to remove a toilet to get access to the clogged pipe. After placing the toilet back, they even cut off the excessive length of the bolt so that the bolt cap can be properly installed. This was an extra work.
We are so grateful for their service. I hope we will not have the same problem in the future. If we do, I will definitely call them again.

After trying to deal with the warranty people on my Rheem hot water heater, and them telling me that since I couldn't produce my receipt and because the manufacture date was June 2021, the warranty was now just covered parts which they could send out in a few weeks.

I went to Yelp to find a plumber. With a 5 star review on Yelp, I chose Mario's Plumbing and Drains. That was this morning. They came when they said they would, the work was done and it isn't even 5 yet. I will definitely use them again in the future.

I called because I was told by my handy man that I needed a plumber to look at an issue with my pipes underneath my sink. The guys who came were awesome. Explained everything. Turns out I did need a new pipe - but also they had to put in a snake to clear the line and let me know of some other plumbing issues that I have. We had foul odor and some clogging going on in one of our showers. Manny Emanuel from Mario's plumbing came down to diagnose the problem and suggested replacing waste water pipes, showing photos with heavily rusted pipes. Their estimate was very reasonable and competitive.

They were able to book the job for the same day, did the replacement work, tested the setup thoroughly afterwards. All the while, they were very accommodating of our requests and finished the work promptly. Would certainly hire again for future plumbing needs.

It's never fun to have to find a plumber because that means something is not working :( but i am so glad i found Mario Plumbing. From the start, Mario and his team were quick with scheduling and arrived on time. He was really honest and upfront about the service plan and also pricing. I was dealing with a slow draining tub (not an emergency, but very annoying) and they made 2 house calls to help me resolve the issue. He was always really transparent with what they were doing and what next steps would be. I appreciated that he outlined what he would try and had a conservative approach rather than defaulting to the most expensive and intensive options.

Updating for a 2nd FIVE STAR experience, this time with Manuel. Had a toilet with a weird clog and needed some of the hardware in the tank replaced (it was broken and running). They replaced two old valves for us; our main water line valve and an irrigation valve. They were very responsive, came to give a free estimate and after we agreed on the price, completed the job in an hour. I found them very kind and friendly.

Some plumbers are just extremely expensive for some reason; one edge case quoted us about $1400. Mario's (and all others') were about a third of that. So definitely shop around before you get any plumbing done.

Kevin and the team were a delight to work with- extremely professional, on time, and did amazing work. We had two very old water heaters (one was dead, one was about to go). Honest, knowledgeable, reasonable pricing. If you're lucky you might get to meet the owner who still does service calls! Mario's is leaps and bounds more affordable than Caccia Plumbing but after using both I can say that the workmanship is the same so why pay way more for nothing? Mario's picks up calls instantly, are available 24/7, and can even do appointment scheduling over text -- it's great to have that responsiveness when you need help with plumbing.

I had a faucet that started to drip, and the cold water shutoff valve was not working. Big problem as we're up here in the hills with a septic system and leach field.

Franco showed up on time, fully adhering to Covid protocols. He replaced the faucet and the shutoff valves and hoses. When he asked whether there was anything else he could do I mentioned a toilet in the downstairs of the house hadn't worked properly in years, and previous plumbers had said the low-profile design of the 20+ year toilet wasn't really fixable. Guess what? Franco replaced the parts inside the toilet and it is working!

Franco also unclogged the filter of another faucet, and checked my water pressure. He was very polite, very efficient, and clearly knew his stuff. Best part was he said if the downstairs toilet wasn't fixed he wouldn't charge me for labor on it.

Very happy I have a new, dependable and competent plumber! That's not something you can take for granted in Silicon Valley.

Kevin from Mario's plumbing was the first to call me back on a yelp request for help scoping our drain in the backyard. Kevin showed up when he said, called when he was on the way, the communication was great. When he got here, we didn't have the proper cleanouts, but he said if I was willing to dig down he could squeeze me in the next Day Friday. He came first thing in the morning on Friday and scoped my drain. The news was not good (as I suspected) but he gave me options, and there WAS NO PRESSURE!! We needed time to weigh our options, and he was 100% OK with that, and said he'd work with us on whatever direction we decided to go. Who does that?? 5 stars for sure!

I appreciated the team wearing mask's and being vaccinated. When I called for a quote, they made sure to listen to my needs and wanted to ensure they got my business without being pushy. The team was able to fit me in between jobs quickly and I apprecited the flexibility. By chance , one of their plumbers finished early with another customer and Kevin immediately called to see if I needed help still. We found a mysterious leak in our garage coming from our 2nd floor master bath. Mario's responded over the weekend, set time for a call, followed by a free estimate. Manuel came within 36 hours of my initial message and spent a good hour trying to find the source. It turned out to be an unsealed portion of the soaking tub. He did not have the right tools to fix it, but gave us an alternate contact and told us exactly what needed to be done.

I had a backed up sink (as in, overflowing all over my kitchen--I live in a condo on the bottom floor) on New Year's Eve. I called 6 places, left messages, a few had availability on NY Day. Not only did Mario actually answer my call, but he said he could be at my home in 20-30 minutes! He was reasonably priced (for a holiday, after hours), really polite, friendly, etc. He made a preventative recommendation and helped me to understand the drainage system. I highly recommend him--he had worked previously for a larger company that my employer does a lot of business with so I felt comfortable with his level of expertise. He'll be my first call every time (although I hope I won't need to call him again soon).

Our water heater started leaking over the weekend and, after realizing it was 18 years old, I used Home Depot's webpage to find someone to replace it. (First home; I had no idea how water heater replacement works.) Home Depot didn't call for a day. When they did, the plumber they offered to replace it was ready to charge around $4k and wouldn't come for another day. After phoning family and a plumber I know who was too busy, I realized this was far far too high, but I did need it replaced quickly before it exploded entirely. Found Mario on Yelp and he offered a far more competitive quote and was able to come in hours. He and his son were super nice, did great and efficient work, and explained everything. I highly recommend Mario's Plumbing services! I found them on Yelp from searching on fast-responding plumbers since we had an urgent plumbing issue found by the pest-control people who were deep in the crawl space under the house yesterday. The kitchen line was disconnected from the sewer line and a cesspool had been collecting underneath! The abs pipe had not been connected properly - never glued and had popped off. They were able to provide a quote from the photo I texted, and Kevin and Manuel were able to come out the SAME DAY to fix it.

Manuel did a fantastic job squeezing into a small space, working quickly and efficiently, and sharing photos of before and after. They found an additional leak (when checking the first repair) and also repaired that, and also braced the piping so that it won't break if someone snakes out the cleanout in the future. Great communication from the team throughout the entire process.

I'd called two other plumbers who said the earliest they could come would be 3 days from now (although they said they have space for emergencies, I guess they didn't consider this to be an emergency?). The smell from the sewer has been awful for weeks (we moved into the home 2 months ago and are discovering many issues like this). They also provide sanitation services which we might call back for if the cesspool doesn't drain quickly enough. Keeping them in my phone contacts for future plumbing issues!

I highly recommend Mario's Plumbing Services and team member Franco, the experienced plumber (of 22 years!) who came out to do the work at my condo in Palo Alto.

I managed to drop a small glass jar into my garbage disposal late on a Sunday evening -- it was almost exactly the same diameter as the drain opening so it was just impossible to extract it manually -- the only way to get it out was to disconnect the disposal. Unfortunately (and somewhat predictably), while I had the tools to disconnect the disposal, I did not have all the equipment I needed to reinstall it, so I ended up searching for a plumber with immediate availability.

I messaged Mario's at about 11:30 pm Sunday night and had a reply by 7:00 am Monday morning. They quoted me a price to reinstall my existing disposal and to replace it with a new unit. Out of an abundance of caution, I opted to replace the aging unit (I live on the second floor and leaks are not something I wanted to deal with)--and I didn't get the feeling they were trying to push me to replace it at all. Mario's was able to send someone over within about 30 minutes since they'd finished a nearby job ahead of schedule and had a replacement disposal with him in the truck.

Franco came in (wearing a mask), gave my senior Lab retriever a few quick scratches and then got to work, disconnecting the old unit and installing the new one within about 30 minutes. He, like everyone else I spoke to at Mario's, was professional, friendly and helpful -- I have not had a better experience with a plumber over the last ten years as a homeowner.

The water heater stopped working and I didn't know who to call. A friend recommended Mario and I'm glad she did. I called Mario and he came over the same day. He told me that the water heater was leaking because it was so broken that it could not be repaired and instead needed to be replaced. It wasn't a standard water heater, but he found a suitable one to install and did the installation today. From initial call to end of job was just a few hours. We recently called Mario's because we had an irrigation leak in an old pipe that we thought had been capped long ago. As usual, they answered the phone immediately, communicated and scheduled a visit in a friendly and efficient manner, and arrived the next day, on time, and fixed the problem pronto. We had a corroded pipe break for our hose bib, meaning the rest of the house was without water. On short notice on a Saturday, Franco came out, took a look, and although he recommended replacing the rest of the pipe (given it is likely to happen again), was willing to give it a shot to fix the bib portion so we would have water (and could take a little more time with the significant expense of retrenching/placing a new pipeline). He was able to replace a pipe that was super rusted/corroded and difficult and got everything working. Really really appreciated it and was also just a nice guy to work with.

530 PM realized my water heater was down. Called around starting at the top of the Yelp list that came up. I got several stories: replace it, it's one part that needs to be replaced but many places said hard to find in the present situation with the container and supply situation. Came across Mario's and while they said open 24 hours, I was losing hope. Kevin answered and said they could come tonight. It was now almost 7 PM. Manuel showed up and got to work. After a few setbacks, got the part replaced. Asked if he would take a quick look at a toilet issue, which he gladly did, took 5 minutes to fix and left my house by 930 PM. Mario is a great plumber and the owner of his company. I quoted several companies on a 8 spread lavatory replacement for my bathroom sink. Most were closely priced but after talking to 3 potential suppliers, I chose Mario's company as he was very responsive and he willing to work on the price since I was very flexible on the appointment.

When he arrived, he was very professional and put on booties to protect the floor and also put down coverings on the floor. Then I gave him the lavatory box and he went to work. As with most replacements, the old drain plug was stuck and rusted and he completed the upgrade easily. What was also nice is that before he installed the new faucet, he gave me time to remove the rust from the sink.
Mario completed the job easily but he did not rush as the entire process was about 3 hours since he also ended up replacing the drain pipes also due to an existing small crack in the drain pipe.

And this is why you want a pro like Mario to be there. I could have replaced all the plumbing, but I would have had to go to the store a few times in order to get all the ancillary parts.

Thanks for the great work and upgrade to my bathroom. I have 2 more bathrooms and will not hesitate to call Mario again. Thanks Mario!

Today my sink got suddenly clogged. After running the garbage disposal and after seeing the water not going down and the pipes underneath the sink leaking, I knew right away that something was not right.

I didn't think twice in calling Mario's plumbing as this is my second time using them. Where should I start first....

One of Mario's employee showed up on time, with a mask on and with his boots covered since we have carpet.

After diagnosing the sink situation , it took him no time to figure out what the problem was. After fixing the clogged sink in only 20 minutes , he spot on another problem with a rusted pipe, hence the leak. He fixed the leaking pipe in literally only 5 minutes and left with a big smile on his face for being able to help me.

All I want to say is that Mario's plumbing definitely has them all... professionalism, high customer service, integrity and respect.

( In the hope that nothing else will break in the house).... I will definitely use Mario's plumbing services again !!

Mario's Plumbing does great work! Kevin and Isaac came out the same day I called about slow drains, and promptly performed troubleshooting that led to the discovery that our entire sewer line was backed up, thanks to the city sewer line being backed up in the street. With Kevin's clear explanations and instructions, I was able to call the City of Los Altos and get them out immediately to clear the sewer line, which was actually affecting several houses. Next day, Kevin, Isaac, and Juan returned with their fiberoptic camera to check the sewer line on our property for any additional issues, after which they patiently troubleshot a problem with a bathtub drain. Viewing the interior of the sewer pipe with the camera showed us that the sewer line on our property is developing a fatal crack. They were able to give me a realistic estimate of how much longer the pipe could safely last. Throughout, their communication was very clear, prompt, courteous, and focused on helping us keep costs reasonable. Highly recommend!

Our toilet had a rust stain on the tile floor, indicating a leak. I called Mario's plumbing about 4:30PM. Mario answered the phone. I explained the leak indication and asked if he could schedule someone to come out and check/repair it the next day. He was very courteous and said he had a man working in our area and he could be there in the next couple of hours. I was happy to hear this and said great. About 40 minutes went by and I got a call from his guy saying he was on the way. I was favorably impressed. He arrived in approximately 15 minutes, put on his booties and mask and took a look at the rust stain. He explained the problem clearly, noting that the bolts holding the tank were rusted and this was causing the leak between the tank and basin. He then said that this would require the toilet to be replaced. He noted that the toilet was a Glacier Bay and that these toilets could not be repaired and that he would install a new toilet for around $500.00. I asked if this included the toilet. He said it did not and that I would have to obtain one and once I did to call them and Mario's would install it for $500.00. He explained that it would take two people to do the install. He then said I should obtain a better quality toilet and recommended a Kohler or American Standard as they were better brands. I said that I'd had these Glacier Bay low-flow toilets installed in our 3 bathrooms about 4 years ago so was surprised that they could not be repaired. I was further surprised that they could not supply a Toilet. He explained that they would have to mark it up and charge much more for it so they decided not to supply it. I said I would investigate getting a new toilet and think about the offer and thanked him for coming so promptly. He left. About 10 minutes later the guy called back and asked if I would accept the offer if they also supplied the toilet. By this time I was skeptical about the whole issue and decided to look deeper into it; so I said that I would think about the offer and call them back if I decided to go with it I then went to Utube and looked up Tank to Basin repair. It turns out that it is a simple job to repair this kind of leak, even for the unrepairable Glacier Bay toilets! I watched two video's on how to do it. Then went to Home Depot, bought a $20 universal repair kit and repaired the problem by expending 3 hours of work. I bet a pro could have done it in under an hour. I would have happily paid $200 or more to have solved the problem, but come-on, $500 plus a new toilet for a leak on a 4 year old toilet!
In summary these guys are courteous, prompt to show up and accurate in their diagnosis. But you can expect to pay a very high price for repairs that you don't need. Caveat Emptor!

I'll start by writing that I'm a general contractor in the commercial industry and understand plumbing and residential systems. I am writing this review unsolicited and can say that it was a wonderful experience and Mario and Kevin will now be my go-to plumber for any future needs at my house. I had a significant leak in my kitchen sink plumbing (waste line) under my house in the crawl space. Mario's Plumbing came as a recommendation from another local Menlo Park plumber. He noted that Mario was honest, fairly priced, and did quality work. After a call to Mario, Kevin and his team quickly responded and were out to my house promptly and did a much more exhaustive investigation than previous competitors had done. They gave me options and great suggestions along with fair pricing. The crew were all friendly, worked in a clean manner, and were very approachable. The work commenced and was completed in the same day. I could not recommend them enough and am very happy to have a great plumber that I can call in the future.

Price they quoted me fluctuated. Depending on questions asked. Got the feeling Mario was quoting whatever he felt he could charge. I felt I had no option because the toilets were backed up and I needed help and I was glad they were able to show up the day after Christmas Gave a very high quote to put in new sewer line. Will not call them again.
Mario called me to follow up after seeing my review. He offered a discount and finally decided to return my check which I appreciate. His services were on him yesterday after realizing he had an unhappy customer. I would say that's good customer service. Called Sunday night after 3 days of intermittent leaking under my sink.
Called handyman, came & inspected, couldn't find the leak, then another plumber on Saturday who couldn't find the leak, this after 2 mornings finding water all over the floor, and even the wooden floor panels buckling up from all the water !

A great experience! Fast availability for scheduling, showed up right on time within their window, wore masks, and listened carefully to the issue. Helped troubleshoot our tankless water heater, which smelled like unburned gas when we turned our hot water on. They examined the whole thing, identified the problem, fixed it - and it also ended up improving our hot water pressure! Ensured I understood the problem and how they were going to solve it; they even took the time to wipe clean the heater, which was covered in who-knows-what outdoor debris. Our condo complex sewage piping backed up on a Friday night. I reached out at 9:00 pm and Mario responded right away. They came out to diagnose the problem with a camera and snaked it so the problem was cleared. They also cleaned up afterwards.

Our water heater was located very close to the furnace so many plumbers did not even want to install a new water heater unless the furnace is removed prior. Mario saved me about 6,000 dollars. Let me explain:

In the middle of my workday my toilets backed up. My fiancée called a plumber. He examined our pipe to the sewer, and showed us through the camera that the clay pipe had cracked. He offered to fix the pipe for $6,000. He charged us about $290 simply to come out.

The contractor who is building our ADU called Mario for us. Mario came out, ran the camera through the pipe, and showed us where the crack was. We could see tree roots clogging the pipe.

But, what Mario explained to us is that, since the blockage was under the sidewalk, Redwood City was actually responsible for fixing the problem. He explained our options: he could perform a flush for a fee, or we could call the city, and they might-or-might not fix the issue. The reason they might not fix it is that the pipe on our end wasn't up to code.

When I called Redwood City, they sent someone out who arrived in less than two ours, and unclogged the drain immediately, for free!

The downside is, Redwood City didn't actually fix the broken clay pipe. The technician said that the city wouldn't fix it unless they were having to stop by frequently to unclog the pipe.

The other thing I learned is that I have home warranty, and that they cover blockages such as the one we experienced. So, we really should have called the warranty people first.

I like Mario and I intend to use him when we build our ADU this winter.

These guys were fantastic. Water heater begins to leak overnight and I notice on a Saturday morning. Call them at 12:30pm and they're at my door in half an hour, masked, gloved and ready to go. Quote within 5 minutes and they get to work. I have a fully installed water heater before 6pm. They even cleaned out the floor before installing the new one. Replaced and updated routing brackets. Took away the old one. Polite, transparent, pleasant, and honest. Final bill exactly as quoted, despite having to work a little harder to get a new bigger unit in. Highly recommend, especially since they are a local small business.

We can't sing enough praises about Mario! On Sunday night our shower would not turn off due to a broken piece of hardware. Luckily we were able to turn off our main water line and quickly reached out to plumbers. Mario called me early morning the next day and managed to fit us in his busy schedule! He was able to fix our shower after an hour. Mario showed up with a mask, gloves and wore shoe covers. He was nice, personable and worked quickly. I would highly recommend Mario's plumbing services. They helped me installed an extremely complicated Toto toilet. Most of the plumbers would not even want to touch the unit. I have a Toto neorest 700H toilet, the team spent 3 hours finishing the work. Afterwards they took away my old toilet and my cardboard boxes. The technicians were so friendly and professional. Our old tank-less water heater, that came with the house, had been giving us problems and was quite old. I called three different companies and went with Mario's plumbing. He wasn't the cheapest but he spent the most time with me and answering my many questions and I have a better feeling about his company than I did with the others. As the owner, he came out to our home himself.

He gave us several quotes with different tank-less heater setups, so we could make our choice. We went with the super-high efficiently model and dedicated return line. It use to take about a full minute with the facet running before get got hot water, now we have near instant hot water on demand.

I would go with them again for any future (knock on wood) plumbing issues.

Mario completed a copper repipe of our aging galvanized steel pipes. He and his team did a great job. The project was more complex than originally anticipated due to issues with prior remodeling work (previous owner), but they took extra time to finish the project at high quality and left the crawlspace cleaner than they found it. It was really pleasant to work with Mario. He really lived up to his 5 star reputation. I needed a water heater replacement as well as a complete retrofit that needed a lot of modifications due to the new water heater needing to be raised 18 to meet current building code. He had to remove and redirect a somewhat complicated copper pipe configuration. Completely removed old sections of copper and installed a couple ball valves , gas line modifications, and even new venting. I highly recommend him, and now have a plumber for all my future plumbing needs!

I called Mario this morning about getting an estimate for a leaking pipe and he said he had a guy in the field and could have him come over in about an hour... Same day? Whaaaaat?!?!?

We called Mario past midnight last Friday night. The faucet attached to your garden hose broke right off the pipe. We had a gushing water leak and had to turn off our water. We were having guests over the next day and really needed running water in the house.

Someone came right away and attached a closed pipe for the time being and completely removed the galvanized portion that had rusted and broken off. We highly recommend this service for emergency repairs.

We had problems with our Rinnai tankless not working and showing a code indicating an electrical short. Mario's was very easy to talk to on the phone and sent out Franco within an hour. We were able to get the unit reset just as Franco got here. He looked over the unit and confirmed that it was dry inside and seemed to be working normally. We asked the charge for him to come by and he wouldn't take a fee.

The very quick and courteous response was outstanding. They'll be on the top of our list the next time we need someone out.

Even amidst the covid-19 pandemic, Mario's Plumbing Services was there for us! We found them through yelp late last night, and Mario responded via message within minutes to set up a phone call in the morning and was at our home by 10 AM. Understanding the current scary times, he came donned in a mask, gloves, and shoe covers and practiced physical distancing. The initial thought of a sewer line clog ended up not being the case and as a result, he charged less than the initial quote. He was competent, friendly, efficient, safe, and honest. Can't recommend them highly enough! We had a completely blocked toilet and shower. After I had tried everything, I called them. They arrived within a few hours and tried to snake through the shower drain, which didn't work, so took off the toilet and ended up finding the blockage 130' away. They were friendly, thorough, and meticulous in their cleanup. They also inspected my crawlspace for other leaks that had gone undetected. He even put a camera down into the pipes so I could see their current state. Will definitely be using them to replace some pipes and put in a tankless water heater soon!

Mario and his team are great. Had a leak under my kitchen sink and the pump in my crawl space checked. Mario came out, took a look at it and gave us an estimate to do the work.
The leak was coming from the kitchen facet and needed to be replaced. Mario suggested that they would need to remove the garbage disposal to do the work and this being the case he suggested we replace the other hoses. We've never had the hoses replaced so we said good idea do it. He said he would send some guys over to take care of the facet and hoses and after they finished that they would check the pump in the crawl space. About 2 hours later everything was done. The guys cleaned up everything and my husband and I were happy. Mario and his guys deserve 5+ stars because they were on time, took care of our needs, and were the nicest guys. Mario's Plumbing is my go to plumber.

Kevin and Manuel came to help change my leaking garbage disposal. I was in need of help fast, and these awesome guys came to the rescue. While they were there, I asked if they could also change the faucets in my kitchen and bathroom. I had already purchased the new faucets myself so all I needed was installation help. Great service again (3rd time I have used Mario). Christian and Alex came quickly to look at my flooded crawl space / seemingly failed sump pump. Quickly addressed the problem - the vapor barrier (semi newly installed) had jammed the pump floater - they deactivated the floater and the pump worked immediately. My water heater stopped working. I tried to fix it by myself but messed up. Then I decided to find someone on Yelp to replace the whole unit. It was late at night but I sent messages to a few plumbing companies. Mario responded pretty quick with a competitive price, and his name is Mario (you know Mario the plumber from video games), so I asked him to do the work the next morning. Mario and his assistant showed up on time, got the new water heater up and running in about an hour and cleaned things up. This is the first time I used Mario. He was fair in his pricing (I did not want to return to the previous plumber I used though he did good work his pricing seemed excessive). The job was to repair a leak in pipe leading to a hose bib in a cramped area mostly covered with a slab of concrete. They cleverly were able to prop up the concrete to get to leak and repair it. They did an excellent job of putting things back they way they were. Mario was personable and I enjoyed talking with him. He said he started his business about a year and a half ago. I plan to use him again and would recommend him.

We had a leak due to which we had to switch off water supply. Even though it was late in the evening, Kevin said he'd stop by to take a look. They were running a bit late as their previous job was overrunning, but Kevin gave me a heads up and was communicative. They quickly found the root cause and said they'd try to fix it right away as we were without water. Luckily, they had all the materials needed and so they fixed it in less than an hour. Hot Water heater replacement

We were out of town for the Thanksgiving week, returning Saturday morning, to find water flowing from the garage onto the driveway.
The water heater located in the garage busted and was leaking and flooding the garage.
I searched yelp for a plumber, but most plumbers insisted on installing a Bradford White water heater. The last 2 water heater I had were Bradford White, and both failed after 7 and 8 years, and I was not about to install another one.

Mario returned my Yelp quote request and said that I could buy my own water heater and he'll install it for me.
I agreed to his quote and together we went in his truck to home depot where I bought a Rheem (12 yrs warranty) water heater.

Mario is the ultimate professional, he's proud of his trade and a very good communicator, there were no ambiguities, he did what he said he'll do, and he did it well.

We landed in SFO on Thanksgiving Saturday at 9:00 am, and by 9:00 pm we had hot water.

Our kitchen drain system was not set up properly in the past, so we had a repeat clogging within 18mo of cleaning it.

Had a sink clog emergency causing both kitchen and bathroom sink to have disgusting water back flow. Called Mario Plumbing at 7:30pm at night and he picked up right away. He was responsive and got to my place in half and hour. He checked everything sink to see what is the most efficient way to fix it. What can I say? I called Mario early this afternoon with plumbing problems - one minor, one major - in two toilets. I have been using Yelp for a couple years to help guide me like everyone else but fall short with any ambition to write reviews.

From the beginning of obtaining a quote for a cartridge replacement for my shower (Mario had the best price and was quick to reply) to scheduling, to working through some obsticles Mario was personable, very easy to talk to and got the job done for what he quoted. Can you ask for anything more than that... I think not.

Two days ago our kitchen sink got clogged. I tried to do something about it, nothing worked. I opened yelp, called in one highly recommended place and was put on hold for 15 min. I called to Mario's. They asked to send text with address and preferable time for them to visit. Within an hour a car with three people arrived, with masks because of the COVID time. Mario is a real pro, very knowledgeable. Two hours later they were out of my house, with kitchen sink repaired, and the leak in the toilet taken care of. I am very impressed by their efficiency and I am happy to recommend them.

Our Water Heater went out yesterday, I found Mario's Plumbing on the internet and called, he answer and said I will be there in one hour, he arrived in less than an hour and was very professional. Our toilet tank began to flood around 10p. We called a few plumbers before we reached Mario's plumbing services. Mario came out right away and helped us to solve our problem so that our entire apartment did not get flooded. We are in an old building that needs updating but he was able to navigate the funky system, keep our bathroom from getting flooded, and fix the toilet. He also cleaned up everything afterwards. Someone working on cleaning our gutters managed to completely break an outdoor spigot on a Saturday afternoon. Water was pouring out. Desperately I called plumber after plumber, and everyone was booked. Mario responded to my request for a quote right away. I needed to have kitchen sink snaked (which is very slow/clogged), replace kitchen faucet, replace old piping under the seak, and replace kitchen supply cutoff valves which are seized shut. He wanted to quote by the job rather than by the time. For some reason that seems to be the norm now as I noticed that from other vendors too. I was in need of a plumbing service that could install a new toilet. I called around San Mateo county. I had 2 different company's come out to give me a quote, also requesting that they send a plumber who has been vaccinated.
The first company came out, the plumber had not been vaccinated. I let him in the house just to give me a quote, way over priced.
The second company was the exact same situation, over priced and the plumber not vaccinated.
I looked on Yelp, found Marios Plumbing Services in Redwood City. Called their office was assured that Mario had a vaccination. I was also quoted a reasonable price, and further, was able to set an appointment for a few hours from when I called.
Mario was right on time, did a perfect job of installing the new toilet. Was neat, careful about cleaning up, took him no time at all to do a very professional plumbing job.

I contacted Mario's Plumbing through the Yelp app and had a response within an hour. Followed up via phone to schedule a service appointment. I needed to have my garbage disposal unit replaced with a new unit that I had purchased online.

I highly recommend this plumber. We had a very difficult installation that involved tying in to our radiant system. It cost a lot and it took a whole day, but the work was fantastic. Mario has a few guys working with him, but we got his personal attention for our job. We thought we had a problem with the installation, so he came right to our house after I called him. The water heater started making 'funny sounds' in the middle of the night- which ended up being a leak in the tank itself. Mario picked up the phone at 3am when I gave him a call, and had me check a few troubleshooting steps to make sure the problem is contained for the night. Communication was good through text and picture exchanges to make sure the right replacement tank was being used (Dimensional requirements and access questions). He came first thing in the morning and doublechecked his work before he left (had to replace a leaky valve). Great service, professional, and responsive.

I would like to thank Mario's Plumbing for providing after-hours service to repair a water pipe leak in our island kitchen sink. I called about the leak at about 10:30pm on a Saturday night and our plumber, Manuel, arrived in 45 minutes, as promised. The exact location of the leak was unknown behind the island drywall, but he was able to located it and make the repairs from inside the cabinet under the sink so the exterior drywall of the island was not affected. I called Mario's Plumbing Services on a Friday night because we had no hot water. Mario answered the phone and was even willing to make a service call that evening if I felt that was necessary - I didn't. The next morning Franco arrived to troubleshoot the problem. Franco first tried replacing the thermocline, but that didn't work, so he installed a new water heater. He worked efficiently and did a great job. He left the area around the water heater much cleaner than he found it too! I appreciate the quick response and good work, and I'm glad to have found a reliable plumber to call.

We have used several different plumbing companies over the years, but Mario's Plumbing is now at the top of the list. First, Mario answered the phone, and said his son would call to schedule an appointment. His son called a few minutes later and an appointment was set up, and I then got another call an hour or so later saying that the plumber had finished a job early and could he come over? He did, quickly figured out the problem, and got the drain open. He told me that he used to work for one of the plumbing companies that we had used in the past, and when I said that I had been generally happy at first but later got a series of plumbers who did not seem to have much experience, he politely said that happened with some big companies, which is one of the reasons that he joined Mario's. If I have further problems, I intend to use them again.

I reached out around 8:30pm on a Friday evening and Mario happily answered and talked with me about my leaking toilet needing to be resealed. Within 30 minutes he was at my house to provide a free estimate. I was worried my closet flange was too rusted out but he was able to determine it was still workable and didn't need to be replaced. Mario and his son came out about 20 minutes after I called, despite us all being in shelter-at-home. He was able to get the water heater working well enough to last us through the night, then came back early the next morning with the part. He even thought to find out whether our unit was still under warranty. It was, so he got us the part for free! His labor was expensive, I'll admit, but given the urgency of the situation and the context of Coronavirus I would have paid double.

I was utterly dismayed to find my garage semi-flooded from a burst water heater late last night. Upon a NextDoor recommendation, I called Mario late in the evening, sent him some pictures of the tank, and he was at my house promptly at 9am the next morning as promised, new tank in tow. They are highly professional, courteous, highly skilled, left the work area clean, dispose all trash and went over with us how the toilet works after installation. We were concerned because of COVID pandemic but their masks were always worn inside the house with the entire duration of the work being done. Mario is probably the most honest person I've hired to do work on my house. He did an intense plumbing job for the home, but his guys forgot to connect one of the pipes to the backyard sprinkler. Mario could have very easily taken advantage and charged me for connecting that pipe (like similar situations I've had with other vendors). Instead he immediately fixed it up at no charge, noting that it was totally his responsibility. That's impressive honesty and integrity. Mario's my plumber for as long as he wants the job.

I came back home at 2am and found my water heater leaking significantly. I called many different plumbers but none were available at this hour even though they advertise 24/7 emergency service. I called Mario and he answered my call directly (vs an operator) and he came over promptly. It turned out that a pipe from the recirculating pump had a puncture. Mario fixed the pipe, cleaned up the water around the heater, and got everything working good as new. Man, what a life saver.

I was really impressed with how knowledgeable, responsive and helpful above-and-beyond Mario and Franco both were. Mario was super responsive by phone, text, and email. And when Franco came to diagnose our water heater failure, he was the only technician to dive in and open up our furnace and try to troubleshoot and fix it right away. He realized it couldn't be fixed, so I called them back a few days later, and they came the same day and fixed it within 2 hours. They did a great job with installing new gas and water valves and even handling a tricky earthquake bracing configuration. They use quality brands like Bradford White (not the more common Rheem or AO Smith). These guys a real pros! Will definitely have them come back again with any plumbing issues. (Note that Mario tends to be a little bit more reasonable with prices and Franco tends to quote a little higher with add-ons (since he does do an outstanding job above and beyond) so I'd recommend talking directly with the owner for estimates.)

Once you find a plumber you trust, you follow him.

We first met Mario in 2013 when we had to do a MAJOR repair. Tree roots had broken through the old pipes--under the slab foundation in the addition of our house. To fix it, they had to break through the slab, plus break through the patio concrete. Mario and his team did professional work, on time and met their estimate. (Plus, he was super accommodating when pouring the new concrete on the patio so that my daughter could put her handprints in it. She now likes to compare her hands to the indents to see how she's grown.)

We had Mario back out a few years later to put in french drains in the backyard. He's also replaced a toilet, snaked the kitchen sink, and today he was out replacing the faucet. (It's an old house.)

We've referred him to all of our friends, who have all had similarly positive experiences. While he absolutely does great work, what I value the most about Mario is his integrity. He's responsive, his quotes are fair, the work is done well and done quickly (and neatly!), and he's also just a genuinely nice guy.

We had a pipe in the crawl space under our house that was leaking. The repair was not a small job - they had to remove the dishwasher to gain access to everything. They did a great job. Mario is by far the nicest guy out there. Our water heater gave a leak in the evening, next morning we called the company that had installed it a few years ago. After waiting what seemed to be forever, they replied they cannot get there before tomorrow! I started calling all the plumbers I could find on Yelp and Mario was the quickest to respond. He said he would be there between 1-3, and he arrived at 1:00 sharp! After finding out that the heater ruptured and needed an immediate replacement, while still under the warranty, Mario took the to business right away: made all the necessary calls to the manufacturer, obtained the warranty confirmation, found the store that had an exact heater we needed, replaced it, recycled the old one, did the job neatly and nicely and we had hot water by the end of that same day! Everything was done neatly and properly. And even though the unit was under the warranty he had to pay upfront and wait for the manufacturer to refund him the money. Not how it should be, however, not a problem, he said, and did not charged me an extra cent beyond what the labor costs. He was super nice and responsive via text or phone calls, and patient to my numerous questions. Then, after a couple of days when we had some concerns, he even swang by immediately, to check and to find out everything is the way it should be.

Mario has helped me move my plumbing lines in my kitchen, master bathroom, laundry room, and irrigation lines outside. Not only has he done a fantastic job, but he is there fast and does incredible work.

I worked diligently on getting multiple bids for all the projects Mario has helped me with and he was always very reasonable. He is very professional, knowledgeable, and easy to work with. In my past experiences, remodeling can be somewhat of a hassle, but Mario was very transparent and made the entire process very easy for me.

Our toilet was leaking at 12:30 am and we found Mario. He showed up promptly, repaired the toilet, and had a wonderful attitude. Subsequently, we hired him for other plumbing tasks: changing a facet, repairing a pop-up, installing a new garbage disposal, and replacing a pressure regulator. Mario shows up on time, with a positive attitude and most importantly, does quality to work for a fair price. I now know who to call for future plumbing needs.

Wow. We had a lot of rust in our hot water. Our heater was over 20 years old! Called Mario at 2 pm. Had a new heater perfectly installed by 5 pm. Just great and friendly service.

We had an emergency plumbing need, a pipe started leaking inside a wall of our house on a Saturday evening. I tried several plumbers, none of them even returned my call. But Mario returned my call within about 5 minutes. He had a crew that was just finishing up another job and they were at my house within a half hour, which was great considering that it was late in the day on a weekend. Kevin and his crew jumped right in, they didn't hesitate to go right under the house to look for the leak. The exploratory holes they had to cut in the wall were nice and small and square to make it easy to patch them later. Once they found the leak they quickly cut out that section of pipe and soldered in a new section. Great work, guys, thanks!

My pure water faucet was only trickling out. Had been that way ever since it was installed. Mario came out and determined it had been installed incorrectly, and he fixed it. My shower valve was broken a couple of months ago. During the hard time, my wife contacted Mario's plumbing company. They showed up very quickly and gave us a free evaluation and reasonable price. A couple of days later, they came back wearing masks, gloves and shoe covers. The reparation took about 40 mins. Also, they helped check/clean a clogged faucet for free. I am very happy with their service and want to do business with them in the future. BTW, they are really nice guys!

My home's previous owner did some creative plumbing that eventually sprang a leak into my neighbor's yard. Mario responded promptly when I asked for a quote, showed up exactly when he said he would, turned off the continuously spraying water, and quickly and efficiently made a very tidy repair. He was very friendly and helpful, his quote was fair, the price reasonable, and he didn't try to upsell his services, even though the creative plumbing is ridiculous and will need to be replaced eventually. I highly recommend Mario and will definitely be calling him for any future repairs!

I came home late one evening to a leaking water heater and thought it would be days before it could be replaced. Inconvenient timing as I had 4 house guests. The next morning I located a replacement but needed a plumber to remove the old one and install the new tank, which was located nearly 40 miles away. The distributor said he would try to find someone to make the drive down to install the new water heater. Within 15 minutes, Mario called and said he would delay his other work in order to replace my water heater that same afternoon. I couldn't believe it!
Mario came within 3 hours, and within 24 hours of finding my leaking water heater, the new unit was in and the water hot!!
It was a pleasure working with Mario. He did an outstanding job at a very reasonable price. I couldn't be happier and would highly recommend him to anyone with a plumbing issue or emergency. Thank you, Mario!!!!

Mario was one of the first to reply to my request for help regarding urgent water heater replacement the Saturday after Thanksgiving. Many other equally highly-rated plumbers were unavailable until Monday, which was not going to work for us. He was prompt and professional, had fair pricing and did high-quality work, and reassured me that we'd have hot water by the afternoon. He recommended and supplied a quality brand-new Bradford-White water heater, which is working out really well for us. He is also extremely neat and tidy, protected our floors and belongings, and practiced proper masking and precautions during this COVID pandemic. In addition to being a skilled and licensed professional, Mario is also just a really nice guy trying to build his small business, and we are happy to support him as a local gem in our extended community. Our heater went off Friday night leaving us without hot water! At first we tried what's everybody does: looked for trouble shooting on YouTube. Eventually we learned a hard truth that the problem with our heater is beyond our or YouTube expertise but by then it was kind of late into night to call the service especially it wasn't really an emergency. On Saturday morning I call Mario's Plumbing and by Saturday afternoon we have our hot water back! I'm very satisfied with their work. It was done in timely manner with very reasonable price. Actually it's a second time I'm using them and very happy with results. I would highly recommend them to anyone who wants job done quick and efficient.

Mario offered a great price (I believe it was the lowest quote I received). He was quick to come out. Fixed our issue (a badly clog pipe in a shower) in short order. He also detected a separate issue w/ a shower head which he looked into for about 30mins. He even called out one of his other guys for a 2nd opinion. He offered me some options and after some discussion I decided not to get the shower head fix. He said no problem - and did not charge for that extra investigation/work. Super happy with his work and price - will be the first one I reach out to if I have any plumbing issues in the future.

Our toilets flooded down a wall into another bathroom and was continuing to flow. An amazing man named Bell (so) showed up at 8:30pm and saved the day for us to have one running toilet. We are hold up indoors social distancing, to keep one of our daughter's with a heart condition healthy and safe. He was respectful of our needs to stay clear and safe, and was careful to not unnecessarily touch anything to help keep her safe. Mario's service and his employee really eased some of the pressure of this flood/damage.

I called Mario to fix my water heater and furnace. He was very prompt to come and fixed it right away. He even called to make sure he can come and he came just in few mins. Water heater gave out late evening. I requested some quotes the same night, Mario responded at 4 am and was at my door by 8 am. I just had an incredible experience with a contractor which is a rarity in the Bay Area. I purchased a dishwasher from Home Depot and their installation crew said it was too complicated to install because of an adjunct washer/dryer unit as well as limited electrical service. Mario was able to show up the same day and complete the installation. Mario was efficient, easy to communicate with and reasonably priced. And yes, I am so happy about the whole experience that I am writing a review something I haven't done in years! If you need a contractor with many skill sets, you should call Mario, you will not be disappointed.

Mario has done work for me over the past 7 years. The first time was to help install an energy efficient toilet. Turns out the contractor I had used to remodel my bathroom had not done it properly and there was a slight leak under my house too! Mario installed the toilet and fixed the leak. He has installed the sink in my remodeled kitchen, and most recently got rid of my leaking water heater and replaced it with a tankless water heater that will be good for years to come. Mario is a neighbor of mine, it is always good to know I can help support a real human being. Strongly recommend, great service at fair price.

I had leaks underneath the bathroom sink and initially hired the other plumber, who ended up replacing the unrelated parts and didn't fix the problem. Since I didn't want to bring back the same guy, I contacted Mario's plumbing service instead. I sent him the photo of my sink and he gave me ballpark estimate. We schedule the appointment for the next day. His technicians showed up on time, tested awhile to inspect the sink, and located leaks. One of which was hard to detect but I was suspecting the same spot for a leak so I could believe their diagnose. The work ended up with the replacement of the faucet and drain pipes. They brought shoe-cover, the floor cover, and a plastic box to keep the area clean. After replacing the parts, they tested it awhile to make sure that the leaks are indeed fixed. Then, they cleaned up the area before they left. I spoke with Mario on the phone. He does care about the customer satisfaction. I thought the price was reasonable too.

Mario is awesome! He is professional, courteous, available right away and most of all knows what he is doing. He replied immediately to my Yelp query and arrived within 30 minutes with booties to keep the house clean which I really appreciate . He fixed a kitchen sink plumbing issue that occurred with the installation of my new refrigerator. He also noticed a problem with the water pressure in my kitchen sink, and cleaned the filter for me. I came home to a gas leak after being away for a few weeks. Called PG&E and within a half hour they had shut off my gas and found a leak under the cement in my garage. It was late on a Saturday and I needed a fix quick. I called a few other plumbers under recommendation but no one answered. When I called Mario he picked up. He was very upfront and explained he could not fix it today which I appreciated the honesty. But he said he would come straight over to evaluate, give me options and make a plan. 20 minutes later he arrived. After about 30 minutes he worked out his plan and gave me a quote. Best of all he said he would come first thing the next morning (Sunday) and fix it all in one day. Next day he was there just as he said and by the end of the day I had heat and hot water again. He even waited around for 2 hours for PG&E to arrive just so that he could make sure my gas was turned back on. I could tell by his work that he really methodically worked through my issue and I even noticed he iterated on the final gas line layout. I'm super happy with his work and his price was very reasonable. And to top it all off he is genuinely a good guy. I won't ever call another plumber.

Mario gave me same day appointment, set clear expectations and delivered. I texted my job and location, he confirmed and arrived as promised. I was trying to install pedestal bases under my Electrolux front loading washer and dryer. I was stalled because I couldn't disconnect the water due to stuck valves. Mario was able to open the valve, source and install new valves and help me install my pedestal bases in 2.5hrs. At the end of the job Mario was clear that he would provide a 30day guarantee on all the parts he installed (valves and pedestals). He also called 3 days later to follow up on the quality of his work.
Mario's background is plumbing but very comfortable with home improvement projects. If he feels out of his depth he will call in experts (electricians) for you to get the job done. He will not be a middleman, just a trustworthy handy man making sure you get the help you need.

I am so happy that Mario really took the time to thoroughly investigate my issue. I have one room in the house that smells musty no mater what we do - air it out, dehumidify...
I've had leak specialists, contractors and roofers out to look up in the attic and down in the crawl space and no one finds any problem. Then they say it doesn't smell that bad. But my house mate sure notices the smell every day.
Mario narrowed the problem down to a couple of possibilities then did a pressure test to rule out one issue and ran a camera into the pipes to rule out the other issue. So basically - it's not a plumbing issue at all. But that doesn't mean I didn't get an answer. His colleague Bart crawled under the house to double check for leaks and he found an old vent that wasn't removed or closed off. It is allowing the dank air from under the house to come up exactly where we notice the smell.
I'm so happy to have an answer that I can do something about!

Mario came to my house yesterday and installed a new water heater. I had spoken to him on the phone earlier in the day and he was very knowledgeable and spent time describing the various pros and cons of water heaters. Mario was great. He performed a toilet installation for me. He was very knowledgeable and familiar with everything involved. He had on hand all of the various additional minor parts that a job might or might not require (spacers to level the toilet, tubes, nuts, etc.). He was very detail-oriented and made sure every little thing was done properly. I've had a toilet installed before, but no previous installation was done with such attention to detail.
