JPowers Electric did a great job upgrading my homes electrical panel. Joe was very responsive to my messages from initial out reach through final payment. If I had a question/concern he would respond in minutes! Joe was the lead and explained everything thoroughly and didn't try to upsell me any additional upgrades or services. The entire JPowers crew were professional, quick and left the job site cleaner than it was when they got here. I had my electrical panel replaced last week by J Powers Electric and they did a great job. When Joel came out to give me an estimate, he explained in great detail what needed to be done (I also needed a pole placed on my roof where the city electrical wires are attached). Joel & his workers arrived when expected and he followed up with the city to get the required inspection, even being present when the city inspectors were here a few days after the work was done).The price for the job was fair, and Joel kept me informed of the progress of the work which took 1 day. I highly recommend J Powers Electrical.

these guys were fantastic.  I needed a ceiling fan installed in my 1927 laurel canyon cottage with a tiny attic space, and a dead outlet and switch rewired. the estimate was reasonable, the workers were friendly, knowledgable, and cleaned up afterwards.  immediately after they left, I added J Powers to my contact list under electrician, and I am sure I will use them again.

Fast, efficient quality work at a reasonable price. First company to respond to a Yelp inquiry for a fixture replacement in a closet, and a wall switch replacement. Joel and assistant completed the work within 30 minutes. Super friendly, and professional team as well. Would rehire.

Wow I will absolutely hire these guys again and again. I had them add an outlet and a switch under my sink for my disposal. They made it on a separate breaker really quickly and easily and it was done in 2 hours. They were efficient and kind and did such great work! Everything works perfectly.

I was lucky to work with Evans for an electrical project on a house I just bought, including replacing a subpanel, grounding outlets, and adding in a remote control switch for an outdoor light. He first walked through the property to analyze the work that he felt would be required to make my home safe, and he was patient and friendly in explaining what needed to be done. He provided me with a typed estimate over email, which clearly stated the services and costs. When he arrived on the day to do the actual work, he brought a team of friendly and respectful professionals. They were on time, and worked very efficiently, and Evans explained their work and guided me through the process as they went along. As we corresponded over Yelp, text, email, and in person, Evans was always responsive, cordial, and easy to talk to, and made me feel comfortable asking what were probably very rudimentary questions. Because of the excellent job he did in pointing out potential fire hazards and resolving them, I now feel safe in my house, and on top of that, I feel that I received a great value for his work. I will gladly work with him again on future projects, and I highly recommend working with him on your own.

Yes, I hired J Powers to get rid of a fuse box and upgrading to a circuit breaker.  We're waiting for the go ahead from DWP.  Joel is very professional and explained the process very well.

We've used J Powers Electric multiple times over the past several years for our place in Silver Lake and have found them to be professional, efficient, and knowledgeable.  From correction of a faulty electric driveway gate to installation of chandeliers to installation of exterior light fixtures, they continue to exceed expectations.  Their attention to detail and follow-up skills are unsurpassed. Joel and his crew are consummate professionals. He was able to diagnose some tricky issues with my home's wiring/circuits (lights blinking/cutting out, appliances shutting off) and propose excellent, long term solutions. Other electricians had previously quoted very high costs for elaborate work - Joel explained that there was a better way and his quote was well below what others had given me.

On the day the work was scheduled, Joel and his crew arrived on time, with full COVID safety gear, ready to work. They made special accomodations to allow us to maintain power in the home offices while they worked - this was crucial as my spouse and I are both working from home.

After a full day's work, everything was working great. No more blinking lights, microwave cooking at full power and the washer/dryer can run without overloading and shutting down.

Throughout the process, Joel made sure to keep me informed if what he was doing and why it was important. He took the effort to actually show me what was wrong and explain what needed to be done.

At the end of the day, I was quite happy. The cost of the work was extremely reasonable (I was expecting it to be a lot more than it actually was). I believe that this was because Joel knows how to efficiently diagnose issues and has the experience to know exactly how to best correct them. He didn't waste any time, didn't try to upsell me things I don't need and treated my whole family with respect.

I will definitely be calling J Powers Electric for any and all future electrician needs.

Joe and his team were great! We hired them to relocate a GFCI outlet
and pricing was as quoted and installed in a timely manner. They were respectful of our home and safety by all wearing masks and cleaning up any minor debris.

What impressed me most was when work was done Joe explained what he did, why he took that approach and asked if we had any questions. There is no doubt we will be hiring Joe and his team again.

Joel and his family did a job job at diagnosing an ongoing electrical issue that we have been having, the power was going out for a split second, 10-15 times a day, which was knocking out the computers and modem, no fun if you are working from home.

The crew were all punctual, clean and friendly, Joel was great at showing us the issues and explaining the problem. We have an older 1920's house with a tiny attic access panel and a low flat roof, unfortunately for them, that is were they had to work. They were able to diagnose and repair the issues that we were having, Joel even switched out a cracked light switch faceplate and added a cover to an outlet that was missing.

This is the second time that I have used them, the first was for a Ring Floodlight Camera install, both appointments went well and they will be my go to guys for electrical issues. Thank you!

J Powers has upgraded my main panel, installed a new circuit for a motorized gate opener, ran a new 220v circuit plus install on a level 2 ev charger and has installed multiple new outdoor power receptacles at my property. I keep returning to J Powers because the price is fair, the communication is great and the service and knowledge is unmatched. I hope they continue to upgrade the electric systems in my old house. I cannot recommend them enough.

I got three quotes to install some outlets in a warehouse. Although J Powers wasn't the cheapest, I felt they were knowledgeable and well staffed when they came by for the estimate. As expected, they did a great job. I'll be hiring them back for more work soon.

I had a couple of older 2 prong plugs upgraded to 3 prong GFCI outlets.
They called and actually arrived early.  They were supposed to come at 2pm and actually got here at 11am.   Very courteous.   Got the job done in 1/2 hour.  Very good job.  And as a side, what with this horrible virus now.  Both of the guys arrived wearing gloves and face masks.  I know that's just part of being safe these days, but I really appreciated that.

Joel was awesome. He's professional, knowledgeable and straight forward. He showed up on time (even gave me a heads up when he was on his way). He installed two outlets (one interior and one exterior) and they both look and work great! He explained what he was going to do and how he was going to do it so there were no surprises. Joel did such an amazing, CLEAN job installing 4 exterior light fixtures without existing wires and a nest doorbell. He was responsive, very clear in his communication, and arrived on time. I shopped around multiple electricians who wanted to open MULTIPLE holes in the wall and did not include patching. But Joel managed to find a smart and elegant solution to the problem--leaving zero holes to patch! His approach was the most sensible and efficient compared to the 4 electricians I consulted.  HIGHLY recommend Joel and his team! Will be reaching out to him for any future electrical needs.

I highly recommend this great company. I chose to go with them because the communication was clear. The other companies were throwing me high estimates before coming out to assess the problem. One even said they would change our smog detectors. LOL. Our smoke detectors went off in the middle of the night. We tried changing the batteries and re setting but they continued to chirp. The father and son team came out and determined that one was defective setting off the others. That was replaced as well as the carbon monoxide detector closest to the kitchen by a smoke and carbon monoxide detector which was good advice. All the work was done at an extremely reasonable price and they thoroughly vacuumed up the work area.

Electricians came and completed the task as assigned which was uninstalling an old ceiling fan and installing a new one. They kept the room cleaned and helped dispose of old ceiling fan and opened box. Very friendly and on time. Would call back again for any future electrical work.

Our company needed some electrical work done ASAP on a commercial/residential home. I called literally 10 electricians in my area, no one could come same day and quotes were very pricey.

I just bought a house from a flipper who didn't finish any of the electrical work.  I settled with the nightmare of a seller.  I had J Powers, help me finish up all the electrical including electrical panel upgrade, passing inspection, and generally remove any safety hazards from the electrical system.  Joel is professional, knowledgeable, and an all-around good guy.  I cannot recommend them enough.
