we used exdos plumbing last year, they repaired our shower and toilet for very reasonable price. The owner of the company came and he seemed very professional and honest. we really liked him so we decided to use them again this time for toilet repair. we had two toilets to be repaired this time. We thought the same guy as the last time would come again, and that's actually we wanted. but he sent us another guy. but we were ok with that as long as he gets the job done. Last year the toilet repair (replaced the whole parts) costed $75. so we expected around the same, however, he estimated over$100 and over $200 for another toilet. we wondered why he charged so much more than last time. but broken toilets are incovenient.. so we were like ok.. we wanted to repaire them asap so tell him to go ahead. then turned out, he repaired only one of the toilets, saying he didn't have the parts for another toilet. he said it may take few days to find the parts and would call us once he finds the parts. we wondered again, the parts should be simple standard parts... but we are not professional plumbers, so we said ok. ...a week after, he still didn't contact us. we seriously didn't understand why they were taking forever to find the parts. our toilets are nothing special, they are very standard toilets. Then we messaged them asking whats going on, also asked why it costs so much more this time. Then they were saying they couldn't find the parts and suggested to replace the entire toilet which costs over $$$500!! we were shocked. what on earth they couldn't find the parts???? we eventually found the problem of the toilet and decided to repaire by ourselves. we went to homedepot to get the parts. we EASILY found the parts at homedepot!! HELLO?? we wonder where they were looking. at supermarkets?? we replaced the parts and the problem was solved. it was actually such an easy repaire. They tried to charge over $200 for this, eventually suggested to replace the toilet for over $500... the parts costed only $20... i asked them what parts they were looking for, before writing this review. because in case they thought there was another problem, i didn't want to write a review that could mislead. however, they didn't answer my question. that explains well, Isnt it? hey, i understand everything is expensive now, everyone needs more money. they probably needed to make more money too. But scamming customers is not a good way to make money... as i am a business owner too, i will tell you this. if you are dishonest and thinking only about making money, your business wil bankrupt soon or later. Indeed you already lost a customer. I would like to warn poeple, better to research before you hire someone, to see if you can DIY. there are a lot of good sources on google, youtube etc. unfortunately there are bunch of scammers out there to steal your money. if they think you are stupid enough to not figure out the problem, they will scam you. please be careful when you look for someone to hire. i give them two stars because they did a good job last time. we thought we found the lifetime plumber for us. guess not. this was really disappointing. i normally don't write bad reviews, indeed this is my first bad review. and i am being very honest about this review, i hope you can see it.
