More than 100% satisfied with the work Jonathon and crew did to install a new gas line in my home.  I contacted quite a few providers for estimates and theirs was very fair even while they were the only ones to give me a very high degree of confidence that they were competent and knew what they were doing.  Jonathon even discovered a couple of related issues that I was not aware of and not mentioned in my initial request for a quote but he went ahead and took care of them for me while him and crew were on site.  Very prompt and responsive throughout the process and Sara is a pleasure to deal with.

Kern's Plumbing is hands down the best gas company around! Jonathan is always willing to go the extra mile to help us out. His girls in the office, Sara and Autumn, are so efficient and helpful! You do not find service this great very often!

Can't say I think much of these people. I've left two messages asking for someone to get in touch to service my gas fireplace and haven't heard from them.

Jonathan and company came over and did an awesome job on hooking up the gas on my water wok pots by the pool. Now I have water and fire coming from the wok pots. Awesome job! I'll post pictures later when I have a nighttime photo.

This company is lead by an exceptional group of individuals. Jonathan the owner is very educated in his field and the office manager Sara is very helpful and knowledgeable too. Everyone on their team is very kind. Nick thank you for the wonderful plumbing you did for our home, bathtub, hot water heater and outside water nozzle. This company is very dependable, I highly recommend them.

Scheduled 10 days ago to be at my house between 7 and 8 this morning. Thanked me for being reasonable about scheduling AFTER the new year..

Didn't call til nearly 7:30 this morning to say ... 12 people called out sick ... you'll need to be rescheduled ... we only have 3 plumbers today ... .

If 12 of your 15 plumbers care so little about your company and customers that they don't even worry about losing their jobs for calling out sick the day after New Year's ... WOW do you have problems!

And I'm not so sure I need to be rescheduled ... the company has given me no reason to want to work with them in future.  They've proven unreliable, and were largely unapologetic until it became clear I wouldn't just roll over.

Things happen ... how you handle them makes a difference. This was an embarassing clusterfoodle for a company with such a previously good reputation.

I called Kerns to come look at a problem with my fire pit, and within a hour the owner was at my door. Not only did he quickly analyze and determine the cause of the problem, but he also implemented a helpful workaround solution. The whole experience was exceptional from start to finish.

I called Kern's Plumbing due to a faulty gas fireplace. Although a failed thermopile was the most likely cause of the outages, we agreed that also replacing the valve was a reasonable investment given the age of the appliance.

The owner of Kern's, Jonathan, made a personal inspection visit, as he does for all his projects, to insure the completeness of the job and the quality of the service.  After the fireplace was up and running, he offered to return to make some adjustments to the gas/air mix. Only when I was completely satisfied, was the job declared complete. They also gave me a significant credit because they had to reschedule the original appointment.  

I was impressed by Jonathan and his commitment to his customers and the business.  They are certainly worth calling for any of your plumbing, gas and appliance installations or repairs.

I found a crack in the tank on on of the toilets.  Called the plumber I normally use only to find he moved out of the area.  Checked Yelp and found these folks.  Glad I did.  I called and they quickly called back and made an appointment.  I also mentioned that a faucet needed replaced.  They gave me an estimate for both, noting that it was unlikely they could find a tank and might have to replace the entire toilet.  Not a surprise as the house is 12 years old.  Jonathan showed up, calling ahead.  He found a tank, it was perfect.  He examined the faucet, tightened it, straightened a handle, determined it did not need replaced.  That was that and he was done in less than 30 minutes.  $201 versus an estimate of $570.  I have a new plumber.

Almost three years ago Jonathan at Kerns Plumbing was at our house to install the water heater for our pool contractor.  We later hired him to convert our barbecue from propane to natural gas, install a water line to a misting system, and replace our water heater.  We also referred him to two neighbors to have their water heaters replaced.  We and our neighbors are all VERY pleased.  Prices are reasonable, his responsiveness is top notch and best of all - he shows up when he says he's going to show up.  Very communicative and lots of helpful advice.

After several other plumbers being stumped, Kern's came in and fixed a complicated leak under a slab.  Jonathan and crew were very responsive, communicative and straightforward.  Overall a real pleasure to work with and would highly recommend.

Kerns plumbing is prompt, efficient, and will tell you what you need to hear instead of what you want, even if it lowers the cost.  Don't deal with the flaky and dishonest companies and call Kerns!  I use Kerns for my own home and always recommend that my clients use Kerns as well.

I am remodeling a casita at my house. Jonathan and his team of experts ran an 80 foot gas line replacing old gas line and extension to a new BBQ hook up.
The job was timely from start to finish. There office and field personnel communicate as a team moving through the job. There team of workers are professional, polite and easy to talk with any questions. I will be recommending them to my friends. Don't miss out on hiring them for your project. There awesome.

I would recommend Kerns Plumbing to any home owners who have concerns on the quality of workmanship when it comes to installing propane gas tank and equipment.  Kerns just installed a 250 gallon underground propane tank in our backyard and hooked it up to our courtyard fire place, backyard fire pit, spa heater and great room fire place.  All I can say is that we are so glad Kerns Plumbing is the one who completed those tasks for our new home.

After the installations are done, Jonathan came out and did a thorough checkup and provided detail explanations before we use any of the propane-connected equipment.  It took a long time to bleed out airs for the first time, but Jonathan did it very patiently without skipping any safety procedures.  In fact, he even came out the second time to bleed the air out at our courtyard fireplace because there was an ignition issue on the first visit.  It wasn't his problem but he just squeezed time out of his busy schedule to come back again, simply because he wanted to make sure all gas equipment works properly after his company installed it.

This is the first time we use propane gas so we have tons of safety concerns, and Kerns addressed all of them.  We always get our responses within 1-2 business days.  This company is all about quality, communication and responsibility.  I thought I would have to contact a propane gas provider to get the best and safest propane gas-related work done, but apparently Kerns Plumbing proves otherwise as they have the right professionals and expertise in the propane gas field, arguably better than any other gas provider in Phoenix (I called the other propane gas providers and most of them are clueless when it comes to technical details).  Kerns Plumbing will always be my first choice if I ever need any propane or gas related project done down the road.

Excellent work and service.   Jonathan's crew ran a new gas line to our kitchen for a new range/oven.   They were on time, worked hard and did a great job.   They do honest work and are priced well.  I will definitely recommend them to friends and call them the next time I need something done.

We converted from propane to natural gas.  Its a complicated process, and Kerns was so helpful throughout the process.  We had 2 guys out here yesterday, had a leak, and I've never seen contractors work harder than these two gentlemen.  I was sooo hoping to get this done before thanksgiving so that I could use my stove, and they made sure to finish, even though they ran into issues that weren't their fault and it literally took all day. Thank you!  This company is awesome.

Johnathon and his team are absolutely delightful to work with.  I smelled gas in my kitchen cabinets, and was very concerned since have a gas stove. I called the City of Mesa, Gas Company division, I guess that is the right term. they came out and had to shut our gas off until the problem was detected. Kerns Plumbing was the recommended plumber, so we called them. The owner, Johnathon, offered to come out that very day, after his last scheduled appointment, which was after normal work hours. I told him we'd wait until the morning so he could go home after a long work day.  He came over the next morning and was extremely helpful, and efficient at finding the root of our gas problem. He was very professional, and it didn't take long for us  to determine that he knows what he's doing. He doesn't waste a lot of time talking about what he knows, he Just does his work, and you are confident, right away, that he knows his stuff.  My husband and I are both very impressed with his work, and we also liked and appreciated his obvious work ethic and knowledge of his craft.  We highly recommend Kerns Plumbing.

Kerns is a very professional and honest plumbing and gas company. I had them install a water heater and a new shower valve for a reasonable price. The technician was on time, did the repairs in under two hours, and was extremely professional and friendly. I recently had some back yard work done for a new sprinkler system and a week later, my yard is flooding. Come to find out of a case of bad luck that it was the valve filter/system that just happen to go out. I called, scheduled a day, I went and bought the part I needed, they came out and had it fixed within 30min.

Kerns installed all of the new plumbing for our backyard BBQ, firepit and Woks for our pool. They were extremely professional and easy to deal with. Their technicians explained everything they were doing,did the work and ensured that the inspections went smoothly. We love our backyard.
Jonathan, the president, let us know that we can contact them at anytime for service. We had a glitch with the valve of the firepit. They immediatley came out to replace the valve and fixed the firepit. They determined the design was not optimal and were able to slighlty modify the firepit so the valve would perform properly in the future.
