Luis and his employee did a top notch job when the power went out to my garage. One of my outlets was smoking with a crackling sound! It seemed like a simple job, but new headaches kept popping up, and Luis was very up front about how much work it would be and how much it would cost. They had to replace a breaker, and two outlets, plus run some wire under the backyard area that got corroded. I also asked him off hand if a 240 NEMA outlet for EVs was possible and he let me know about the power requirements and how easy or hard it would be. Due to how old my building is it would be doable, but difficult and expensive. He could have just said a cheap price like other guys I asked, but he gave me a totally honest answer.

He gives you a quote in person. Even, if you send him pictures he confirms in person. He shows up within 30-45 of his ETA. He fixed some stuff immediately, then he came and finished the work on a second date from the date of quote. He prices average.
He was friendly. He was understanding. He speaks Spanish also.

Had a short notice request just before the 4th July weekend. My house was scheduled to be painted and I needed an electrician to safely remove some old cable and phone lines attached to the house. This mess of disused cable was horrible.
Luis came out at short notice and with no fuss or hassle cleared off all the old mess in preparation for the painting to take place.
Will be using him for sure to install some outdoor outlets and patio lights.

Luis was great! I originally reached out to a different electrician who was just not replying back to me that's when I found Luis on Yelp. Gave him a call on Monday and he was on time to service my electrical issues Tuesday morning. He was able to fix three of our outlets. Our condo is pretty old so the wiring, is of course, old too. Spur of the moment, we asked if he could also take a look at our front porch light and he fixed that too. Everything took less than an hour! Super impressed at his professional and reliability and will definitely be reaching out again if we ever have any electrical issues. Thank you so much!
Luis and his team have done two jobs for me so far. And I have nothing but praises for this company.
The first job was in our sunroom where I had a previous electrician try to figure out why the electrical fans weren't working. Lo and behold after some hand waving, that electrician eventually disappeared. Luis came and although he was not able to say he could fix it for sure. He said he would probably be able to fix it in a day. Wary of my first electrician experience, who over promised and under delivered, I wasn't too sure. But ultimately, I'm glad that we gave Luis the chance because he, in fact, under-promised and over-delivered! He was able to diagnose the problem and in a day, all of the outlets inside of the sunroom were functional. All of the light switches were working. And two new ceiling fans were installed. My wife can actually go into the sunroom at night now without fear!
Impressed with his work, I asked him to come back to install recessed lighting and also extend a circuit so we can air fry and microwave at the same time without tripping the circuit. Everything is working great! He even helped me install a new light switch (wifi enabled) with no charge.
If you need an electrician who can get to the bottom of a problem, and won't leave you stranded, please give Luis a chance. He is a solid electrician, reasonably priced, and definitely our go-to electrician from now on. Thanks, Luis!

Had some minor issues in my home- im ignorant about all things electrical and was hoping find someone who was very knowledgeable, professional with decent rates . So glad I found EWS and Luis.. Without a doubt, one of the best contractors I have ever dealt with. Luis came by to help with the replacement of Zinsco control panel and really helped me understand the ins and outs of the electrical in my home. Luis was responsive the whole time and made sure I was aware when the city inspector would come to check the work. Luis made the whole process such a great experience that I asked him to help me out with another electrical job. I will definitely be calling him for all my electrical needs.
Had to buy a new electric oven and since I installed the old one I figured... No problem.
But that was 22 years ago. I was younger. And the ovens then allowed more space for electrical connections. So... I reached out to several electrical contractors and Luis was the only one to respond. I already had a price in my head when he gave me the quote. Well within the ballpark so I hired him.
He just completed the job today. Professional, neat and complete. Very happy with the work especially since it turned out to be more difficult than imagined.

Luis was great! Friendly and knowledgeable. He's quick to response. He has great rates and is very fair. We needed a NEMA 14-50 outlet installed for our Tesla - the builder of our house already had the wire installed we just needed the outlet. We called so many different places and they all tried to overcharge us, but Luis was very honest and charged us very reasonably. He got the job done quickly as well and once he was finished he helped us understand the work that was done and the safety best practices with the installation. 10/10 would recommend, we are very satisfied. I sent out a bid on Yelp on a Saturday morning, Luis was one of two business that contacted me back within 30 mins. Both have high Yelp ratings, but since Luis has been in the industry for 25 years, I went with him.
Before I hired him, I asked him for a quote and how long it would take. He had the best rate, and he said the work would be done within an hour.
He showed up exactly on time (on the dot) and did an excellent job within the time he quoted.
Luis is a very likeable guy, explained what was wrong and how he is going to fix the issue.

We recently bought a Tesla and needed our home electrical system to be redone. Prior to hiring Electrical Work Services (EWS), I had hired another licensed electrician who totally botched up the wiring (you get what you paid for). It was so bad that the wiring that was used would not work with the Tesla. This electrician actually apologized for his inability to get the work done correctly and I let him go.

Yikes. I was so concerned about my flickering lights, afraid a fire might start somewhere because of electrical issues. Oh my. Luis is my hero. He came over as promised with no delays. First assured me that we are not in danger of fire(thank goodness). He diagnosed the issue so quickly and accurately, and he had to get some replacement parts for me. So Cal Edison was having a power outage on my block. I wanted to connect a backup generator to the electrical panel of my house to allow me to have power in my house. I had called about 20 electricians, only two showed up, and Luis was the only one who wanted the job. I called Luis Saturday morning, and he was at my house before noon. He gave me a fair estimate for the work to be done. He also explained what work he planned to complete. He was on time for the scheduled day for work to begin. He notice additional safety concerns and was able to correct the issues. He completed a safety check of all the equipment and completed a test run of the generator to power the house. I plan to use his services in the near future.
I contacted Luis through Yelp to get a quote to replace the outlet in my laundry room which was wired with a stove outlet but needed it to be changed for an electric dryer outlet. I sent him photos through Yelp and he contacted me with a quote and was very reasonably priced. He was able to come out the following morning and fixed it right away. I even contacted him a few days later to wire and install a Nest doorbell. He was very fast and efficient. I definitely recommend him.

Luis Baenz arrived at our home at 4:30 and finished at 7:30. He worked continuously without pause fixing a wiring project. I don't think I've ever seen a repair person work so conscientiously. Luis added 2 outdoor outlets for my backyard and 2 outlets into my garage as a dedicated circuit. He is friendly, easy going, and got the job done the day he said he would. Definitely using him again for all future electrical work.
He also did excellent by following instruction to communicate with me via group text with my wife and I. We're both really busy and can't always get to calls, or answer voicemails.
It's 2019 and a lot of other businesses that refuse to communicate via text lose revenue.

Description of work: older condo built in the 1960s with an electrical sub panel older than I am needed to be replaced and two in wall ac units needed split circuits. I considered this to be a complex and risky job (many things I thought could go wrong).
Interviewed several electricians and Luis was by far the most reasonable, upfront, and overall friendly compared to the others. He has a solid blue collar work ethic which really resonated with me.
He took on the job and easily accomplished everything and I'm completely happy with the work! He made everything look easy as it apparently was for him as he was very fast and efficient. I'm very grateful for the work he has done since I no longer have to worry about electrical concerns.

We opened up the walls in our kitchen and found a horrible jumble of wires. I contacted Electrical Work Services and he came out the following day. He provided two different quotes based on what we needed, we accepted one of the quotes and he came out that following Monday. He worked quickly but most importantly efficiently. We are very happy with his work and price.
Luis with Electrical Work Services was great. I called him about an electrical problem with a rental property. He arrived on time, assessed the situation, made recommendations, offered fair pricing, and communicated well. I will definitely call him for any future electrical needs at my rental property or in my own home.
Luis responded at night and agreed to come first thing in the morning-we had breakers go bad, emergency that cannot really wait too long since we were left without electricity. He was on time and took care of the problem quickly. Very appreciative of his services.
Luis was very prompt to answer with a quote & availability. I liked that he gave me a quote right away with available times for an appointment. He came in to install a Ring doorbell, repair a bathroom fan exaust (which after an hour of trouble shooting he found to be a fake install - we're new home owners) and looked an outlet with no power. We got the NEMA 14-50 installed and I have absolutely no complaints. Luiz did a great job, quick and clean! I would recommend anyone who is looking for a electrician for a Tesla or any EV.

Just needed a simple task done. Rates were outlandish and people just don't care anymore.
I needed an old electrical panel replaced as well as a generator transfer switch installed so that we could run a generator without dragging extension cords through windows and doors. I've had my share of flaky, incompetent, dishonest contractors so I was very leery at first. But Luis proved to be an excellent choice. He worked several ten-hour days and completed the job in the time he quoted. With the pandemic, some supplies were difficult to obtain, but he persisted in locating quality parts. He was also cognizant of my dogs, making sure the gate was always closed, he daily cleaned up the work area, and he was friendly and courteous. He also replaced a bunch of indoor outlets and fixed a ceiling fan. I would recommend Luis for any electrical work whether it's very basic or very complicated -- he will get the job done!
Luis did a great job. All of my lights were flickering and I had to replace my main breaker. He was here within an hour of contacting him. He replaced the main breaker and also identified (showed me) that one of the other breakers also needed replacement (cost was minimal) and he stuck around for a bit to make sure everything was running correctly. He works fast and he did a good job explaining the repairs that were needed and why, and how much it would cost. He didn't try to upsell me or add on unnecessary work/repairs, he played it perfectly straight.
We had an issue with our AC electrical. We found Luis company on yelp. I called him to explain the urgency with the issue we had. He was at our home within 30 minutes. He was friendly and professional. We look forward to using his services again.

I had a electrical problem at my house so I messaged and called a few places. Luis had the lowest rate, so I called and explained the situation to him. He told me he could come over within an 1 1/2 to 2 hours and he did. He showed up right around the 2 hour window he had given me. He was there and took care of the problem quickly (less then an hour). I definitely will recommend him to anyone looking for an electrician. He was professional, punctual, polite and knowledgeable. I posted in yelp and although it was hard to explain the whole job, Luis still gave me a quote and was professional in his response. So, I knew I picked the right guys from the start. We moved into our home about a year ago, and we needed several things done. So, it was a big project and lots of running wires behind walls. The whole job took three days of hard work (and I mean hard work) but the wife and I are super happy with the results. 2 new ceiling fans, replaced and added several fixtures, and handled a difficult three way switch and wiring with ease. Luis even replaced a recessed light that I had sitting out to do myself after he finished. When something didn't look quite the way I wanted he got it fixed. All of this work looks just like we wanted and Luis worked with us all the way through to make sure we were happy. Yes, there was dust but you have to expect that when you are cutting into walls and running new electrical lines. Even with that they did a good job cleaning up after and during. I don't like posting when I find someone I would use again because I want them available for my next job. lol But Luis and Juan deserve it. Great job guys!

We had a circuit that suddenly went out on a Friday night. I checked yelp and contacted several businesses. Electrical Work Services was the only one opened on Saturday. His service call was less than the others as was his hourly rate. He took the call and came first thing on Saturday am. It was a complicated job as it wasn't any of the obvious issues. He stayed all day and never stopped going. The job went into the next day as well and required dry wall repair. He brought his own drywaller and the job was completed beautifully. They would have even painted the repaired drywall but I said that was okay I could take care of that. We were very happy with the job he did and his persistence in tracking down what it was and where it was. It turned out to be a broken neutral wire in the wall in a very odd place but he did find it. He is going into our contact list as our electrician. In fact, he is going to do something else for us as well. The total job was about $1100 but he worked all day Saturday and a partial day on Monday. But we were happy with the work. We felt he was very honest. Bet progressional. And he wore a mask... Covid-19 protection.
