The process of installing our new electrical panel plus installation of a Tesla Wall Connector was smooth. Steve was very responsive and helpful with all my questions/concerns. 6 STAR performance!!!  Steve was able to do an at-site quotation, do the Orange city permit paperwork and install my Tesla Wall Connector (240V Level 2 Charger) all in one day!  Steve is friendly, personable, communicates often with phone/email/text, tells great stories (has installed for some very famous people) and by the way does outstanding work!  Steve came by in the early morning, gave me a quote, did the math for a city permit, left to obtain the city permit paperwork, then returned to install the Charger which took around 3 hours.  The electrical panel did not need upgrading.  Working solo, he added a 60-amp breaker then had to install conduit from one side of the 3-car garage to the other side plus the 6 Ga wires.  The Charger was mounted to plywood behind the drywall so the Charger is securely mounted.  Steve also programmed the Charger to my in-home Wifi network for later software updates.  My Tesla now charges at a 32-amp rate which is perfect!  The city inspector came by, inspected the work and signed off the permit today.  The cost was reasonable considering everything he did.

I in process of installing Tesla Solar Panel and needed MPU upgraded to a 200AMP. I called ECO-Tech Electrical Services Inc , spoke with Steve Ortiz . He was very informative , knowledgeable , friendly , most of all, he taking his time explaining to you. On the day of installation , he came on time and within several hours . My new 200AMP MUP installed/upgraded  and  all of the circuit breakers  were tested and working . Wow! Steve is one of the best contractors I have ever done business with. Very organized, fantastic work ethic and incredible results. We did a panel upgrade for the home with a sub panel in the garage. Steve and Pat arrived on time, and finished the 2 day estimated job in 1 day. We contacted Eco-Tech through Yelp regarding a panel upgrade on our house. Steve came out to the house and looked our current panel over on a Monday and emailed me a quote later that day. Steve and his helper came out on Friday when it was 90+ degrees and installed the new 220 amp panel. Started around 7 am and completed around 4pm. He came out a few days before that to do some prelim work for a few hours too.

We did have to get SCE to come out first and do a meterspot before the work could be done. That took a week or so.

Steve was great, explained everything and answered all of my questions. I would hire Steve again.

I had the privilege to work with Steve and his team in installing a 14-50 Nema adapter in my condo. I did my due diligence and called multiple companies to see who was willing to do the work. Being in a condo vs owning a home makes installing one of these a lot trickier. You have a shared breaker, and it isn't capable of being upgraded. The one for my condo is 100 amp, and determining if I would overload it or not with the charging was a trial for the electrician to see what they were talking about. Richard from Eco-Tech came out and looked at all the appliances, did the math, and made me feel very confident.

Another factor with a condo is wiring everything to the garage, not crossing between shared walls, and making sure everything was up to code. When Richard first came out, he suggested that we might have to install piping in the hall way leading towards my garage, however on the day of installation, he was able to do something much cleaner, installing only a panel that matches inside that wall, and then leading everything towards the garage. I was much happier with this & it looks exceptional.

Speaking of the installation, getting the permit was simple, even in Aliso Viejo which has a few odd restrictions. Eco-Tech was able to get it done to code. They were in and out within 6 hours, and the next day the inspector checked and passed everything.

While I haven't tested it out yet (as my Tesla is still on order), I don't doubt it won't work. I'll update on that when I have used it.

I highly recommend them for any electrical needs. They know what they are talking about, are down to earth people, not there to up sale you on anything, and are honest.

Very friendly, professional, and prompt. Steve was able to do a free inspection the very same day I called and do the installation itself the day after. He did a wonderful job installing two Level 2 outlets for our EV's!

I called Steven because Eco-Tech was one of the Electrical companies listed on the Tesla website for installing the Tesla Wall chargers. He answered immediately, and he was able to come by to check my garage setup and electrical panel in that same afternoon. He even had the Tesla Wall Charger in stock, so I didn't have to order it from Tesla and wait for it. He gave me an estimate that night, which was reasonable, we scheduled the install in the next few days. I had a lot of storage items, in my garage, but he was able to maneuver around it. On the appointment day, he came early and worked straight through until the installation was fully completed. Everything went smooth! Very impressive and professional! Opted for Eco-Tech after finding them on Tesla's list of recommended electricians and the others that I reached out to either didn't respond or refused to come out in the afternoon.

Anthony answered when I called *on a Saturday* (!) and was happy to help me book an appointment the following Wednesday afternoon, despite that it was a bit late in the day for him.

He arrived and was super friendly and an obvious professional. He went through all the options about how/where we could install a NEMA 14-50 outlet (for Tesla charging), then he went straight to it.

He did an excellent job and cleaned everything up both where the outlet was installed and inside the circuit breaker box, then made sure the car was charging properly before heading out.

Next he'll deal with the permit and making an appointment with a city inspector so we can get sign-off, at which point we'll finally pay for all the work.

I'd highly recommend Steve!  He came out to my house and provided a free estimate after doing a thorough inspection of the job.  Steve is very personable and courteous.  He provided an estimate via email the next day (or maybe the same night) and was very patient in explaining the scope of work and answered all the questions I had.  I hired Steve to do the job and was very pleased with the outcome.  He actually noticed there was a wrong breaker used in the electrical panel and helped put in the correct breaker.  I didn't even know he did that for me until in our conversation at the end where he happened to mention it!

I recently moved and wanted to install a NEMA adapter in my garage to charge my EV. While I was busy getting different bids on various projects around the house, the one project I knew I didn't have to shop around for was the electrical work - I immediately thought of Steve and his Eco-Tech team given my great experience with him in the past with a complex situation at my former house.

As expected, they were professional, efficient and reasonably priced. When Anthony came out for an initial estimate, he offered to start the job immediately right then and there after I signed off, and he got it done. And when I wasn't sure I'd be around when the City Inspector was coming to examine the work and sign off the permit, Steve made sure he would be there waiting for the Inspector at my house.

Awesome experience! I contacted Steve the owner regarding a quote for a 200amp electrical panel upgrade and Tesla Wall connector install. He came out the same day for a free inspection and inspected my home and current electrical usage to give me an accurate quote. After all the quotes I received, not only was Steve's quote the most competitive, I did not have to worry about a thing. I He handled the communications with the electrical company and the city for the permits. He was even to able to fit me in his schedule within 4 days.
Throughout the process, Steve was very easy to reach and was able to answer any question or concerns that I had.

This is a late review, as I realized that I never wrote one. I've had my Tesla for a couple of years already. I originally called and I honestly don't remember who I spoke with, but since I was home we actually video chatted, and I showed him my garage and where I wanted the NEMA outlet. I also showed him my electrical panel and the fact that we have solar as well. When the technician arrived, he got the job done in just a couple of hours. Super-clean installation at a reasonable price. Very pleased with the service and the job. Would highly recommend.

They gave me a good quote, They did not require me to replace or upgrade the panel, The technician was fast and efficient. Best of all it passed the permit process without a problem. When I went to pick up my new Tesla model 3 the Technician even noticed and told me my brand new car has a ding on the drivers side door. Eagle Eyes.

You can read and judge for your self.  I can't stood his level and go back and forward.  And for your information i got someone else to do it from the Tesla's approved electrician as well and i didn't have to replace my panel. I also talked to a handful other electrician and i didn't have to replace my panel. If you can't wake honest feedback from customer then don't be so unethical and snappy toward your customer. I asked Steve to come out to my house and give me a quote on getting my car charged. I have a Tesla three performance and he was happy to give me the most economical option and help me with getting it done. Highly recommend

I will be taking delivery of my Tesla Model 3 soon and needed to get my home charging situation sorted out. Unfortunately, my existing 100 amp panel could not handle the added load and I needed to upgrade to a 200 amp panel and add a NEMA 14-50. I spoke to Steve and he was at my house within a few hours. He thoroughly explained everything he would need to do and even gave me some suggestions as to where to place my charging outlet.

I got multiple quotes and Steve's was one of the best. It's suprising since he shows up on the Tesla website as a recommended electrician which I thought would make him more on the higher side.

I decided to give Steve the job and needless to say Steve is a TRUE PROFESSIONAL. He responded to my emails lightning fast, took care of all permits, invoicing and inspection went without a hitch.

I felt I was in good hands throughout the whole process and didn't have to worry about a thing. I'm all about saving money but when it comes to your home's electricity I need it done right. If you're looking for an honest and professional electrician go with Eco-Tech. My city inspector came by to do the final inspection and he told me I had a really good electrician and I wouldn't believe the things he's seen. I would not hesitate recommending them to anyone.

This is NOT the Steve you know. Choose Eco-Tech ONLY if you have super-thick skin and don't expect any amount of professionalism and respect for your time and money.

I used Eco-Tech twice, once for a NEMA 14-50 outlet installation on a new circuit (completed OK except for a cheapo, low-quality outlet box), and once for a new meter panel install (fail!). I should have known Steve was trouble when he started badmouthing a prior customer during our first meeting. He did the same to me when I asked him to increase his quote (because it seemed too low), was dismissed, and he tried to jack up the price last minute before finally throwing a tantrum and walking off. Getting all those Tesla referrals surely went to his head.

Anthony and the crew are outstanding, respectful and clean.

UPDATE: Since the owner has replied with a mischaracterization of my emails and intent, I feel compelled to post one of the emails he chose to leave out, so others can decide for themselves why this owner badmouthes prior clients as a result of writing stories in his own head - in this case We choose not to work with the likes of you, since you have become an aggressive price-bickering client this time around.

A more professional response I would expect from a contractor would have been I'm sorry that our prices have changed, would you like to proceed with the new price or I have chosen to work on a more profitable job and will have to drop you from my schedule

The other thing experienced professionals do is they prepare concise written quotes, especially if they want to avoid being the cause of misunderstandings.

Great service and outstanding work!  Steve was very helpful in making suggestions regarding the install of my Tesla charging station.  Richard was incredibly creative in how he ran the wires from the panel to my garage.  And after the work was completed every wall in my condo pretty much looked like it did before he started the work.

Before you hire an electrician, there are three things you need to know. Are they qualified to do the work, what is the quality of their work, and what is the cost?

In my case, I needed a Tesla charger installed in my garage. How do you find someone who is qualified? How about the guy who installed the Tesla charger in Elon Musk's garage? Yep, that would be Steven Ortiz, owner of Eco-Tech.

In order to install the Tesla charger, I needed to upgrade my panel from 100 amps to 200 amps. The quality of that work was absolutely stunning. Even the Building Inspector said it was a beautiful job. I could go on and on about the quality of work these guys do but suffice it to say that Anthony and his assistant Pat really strive to do perfect work--and in my opinion, at my house, they succeeded.

And for the third part of the equation, cost, I had four bids, three from Tesla certified electricians, and Eco-Tech was the lowest, by far.

Timely communications, professional and great work

Steve took my call and had a tech out to quote the next day.  The price was reasonable and they thoroughly considered all options.  They arrived two days later and performed the work, got the sign off from the inspector and were gone in about three hours.  Very happy with the professionalism  of the entire team.

EcoTechElectrical installed new 240V to my detached garage for Tesla Wall Connector Gen3.  Very happy with clean installation Andrew did. It was hardly noticeable to include colored wall sealant that matched exterior. Conduit was hidden in wall.  Steve completed the Configuration on the Gen3, which seems to have been a new unit, even to the Tesla team members.  If you have an EV charging station to be installed, call EcoTechElectrical, you'll be glad you did.

My recent experience with Eco-Tech was exceptional. Steve figured out all the details and his crew of Anthony and Patrick executed it with precision. Thanks to yelp i found Steve! I contacted Steve for miscellaneous electrical work I needed done at the house. They hung my chandelier and replaced various outlets through the house. One of my friends had used his company for their business and loved the service and work they performed. They are licensed and insured which was an important requirement for me when I was searching for an electrician.

When I called he gentleman over the phone was very polite and courteous. During our meeting our Electrician Anthony  took the time to ask and inquire about what I needed, how we utilize the equipment in our shop. He provided various solutions to address our business needs. I've worked with many trade professionals over the years and Anthony was knowledgeable, polite, well dressed and represented the company in a very professional manner. The electrical wires and installation was done well. I will be utilizing this company in the future for any additional work.

This is the electrician to call. I bought an EV and my home only had 100 Amp service. I was going to need complete panel upgrade in addition to installing a NEMA outlet in the garage to charge the car.

Since I knew it was going to be an expensive job, I called 5 of the Tesla recommended electricians for estimates (of which Eco-Tech is one). 4 of the estimates were pretty much the same. Eco-Tech's estimate was about 30% lower than the other electricians and all of them seemed equally knowledgeable, so I decided to go with them.

Steve, the owner was very straightforward, and the lead tech Anthony was very detailed in how he approached the job. He also removed his shoes before entering my home without even being asked.

The work took 1 day, and from the permits, to the Inspection, I didn't have to worry about anything. The work was done with little to no input from me - that's a great thing. I didn't feel as though I constantly had to watch over what they were doing, and the work is super clean. I'm very picky, and everything was done perfectly. The conduit in the garage is aesthetically pleasing, the stucco work and the box installation is immmaculate.

I've had many friends see their work and ask for their info. Don't even think twice about hiring these guys. And if you're on the fence, have them give you an estimate and see for yourself!

I found Steve's contact info through the Tesla charging installation page, sent him an email, and heard back very quickly with next steps. He was professional and easy to communicate with.

Anthony came out to assess the situation and give the estimate (30 minutes). He was communicative, fast, and friendly. The quoted pricing was transparent and in line with everything I had read online while researching. He came back out a few days later and did a fantastic job with a super clean install (2.5 hours).

They take care of coordinating the city inspection and permits, so all you have to do is be there to let the inspector access the panel and charger. The next day when the city inspector came out (10 minutes), he was very pleased and told me that they did great work - it doesn't get much better than that!

Steve called me a few hours later to verify that the inspection had gone well, made sure that I was satisfied with everything, and then emailed the invoice which can be easily paid online with no fuss.

Overall working with Steve and Anthony was a great experience. They'll be my first call for any future needs.

I connected with Steve as we wanted to set-up a NEMA outlet in our garage for our new car. I checked with 3 other Tesla Certified Electrical companies and all their quotes were almost twice as much as Steve's.

Anthony was very detail oriented, considerate and meticulous with planning the work. The issue we had was that our circuit breaker was in our laundry room and we needed to go all the way to the garage, while living in a townhome. Not Easy.

This is the second time that Eco-Tech has installed NEMA 14-50's for me in my home (the first at our rental when we moved to SoCal, and now in our new home).  Both times, they communicated promptly by email, phone, or text; arrived when they said they wood, completed the work quickly, and coordinated the inspector to sign off.  I feel the price is very reasonable for the excellent service received.  And to date we have never had a single problem with their work.

This time they actually installed two 14-50's for us!  They are definitely my first call for any other electrical work I need.

The entire process of a panel upgrade (100A to 200A) and EV charging station installation was painless and quick. Steve came to my home to do an initial inspection, and within two days of my approval he had a team at my house doing all the work. Eco-Tech got everything permitted and approved by the city, coordinated whatever needed to be done with SCE, and was wrapped up on installation day by 3pm or so. A day later, a guy came by to repair the stucco where the panel had been upgraded. Highly recommend!

Spoke with Steve for a NEMA outlet for a Tesla. He asked for a few pictures, gave me a quote. Anthony came out right away and installed it, very clean work. After he was done, it looks like the outlet was always there.

Excellent customer service. I just got an electric car and have no knowledge about what is needed to set up a wall charger. He was very attentive, reviewed the information he got from me, responsive by email, upfront accurate quotes and called me and explained everything very thoroughly. The phone call lasted over 18 minutes and never tried to rush me. I feel guilty for taking that much time on the phone, one should never take another person's time for granted and I'm very appreciative of his time. Based on that interaction I can tell you this is the guy to do business with. I know he will continue to be very successful with that type of service.

I recently purchased an electric car and was referred to Steve for the installation of a 240v fast charger for the car. My friend told me Steve was recommended to him by Tesla so I was a bit worried that Steve would not be able to help me because I did not buy a Tesla lol. (Well, of course now I know it's not the car it's the charger.)

To be honest, I contacted three other companies on Yelp, two said they will get back to me but never did. One said they won't be able to come over in another two weeks to take a look. I even asked my handyman to give me an estimate haha.

Tesla referred me to Steve and couple of others for NEMA outlet installation. Steve was the most responsive and cost effective.  He was very efficient in surveying the place, and understanding the power requirements.  Very quickly he got the city permit and approval, and completed the install with inspection call in a couple of days.

Just ordered a model S and was referred to Steve by tesla along with a few other electrical companies to install a NEMA 14-50 outlet. Steve is awesome!!!! explained the whole process and what to expect. Got quotes from the other companies and he was willing to work with me and match them. I preferred to go with him because he spent the time to answer all my questions, was very thorough with inspecting the house, up front with telling me the potential expected holes in the dry wall and very considerate of our home. He suggested alternative sites that would be inconspicuous and in the end his guys made minimal holes and didn't even touch a wall that we were expecting to. They made the whole process extremely easy, non invasive and completed the work faster than expected as well.
