Our shower developed a leak and the first handy-man I had try to fix it replaced the cold valve stem (I think), and the problem seemed to be fixed. It just came back a couple weeks later, though. So we decided to get real plumbing pros to do it.
I reached out to Citywide based on their Yelp! rating, and I'll get to the details, but they earn every star. I included pictures, and Jessica got right back to me with a quote in 20 minutes. She explained they could only do a new single-handle Delta valve, would need to open the drywall, and would retain the removed section for easier drywall repair. This gave us the opportunity to replace the fixtures for the whole bathroom in matte black, something we'd been wanting to do anyway. Jessica patiently worked through the details with us, advised us on parts ordering, and delivered an updated quote covering replacing all the fixtures.
Johnny arrived on time in a serious, I brought everything I could possibly need work truck. We went over the work site, I cut the house water, and he got to work. A couple hours later, we checked out the finished work, turned the water back on, and it was perfect. No leaks, and he also fixed a looseness in the pipe running up to the showerhead so it won't move in and out anymore.
Johnny wore foot covers to keep our floor clean between the front door and bathroom, protected our bathroom shelves from sheetrock dust, and cleaned the bathroom really well after the work was done. He communicated well and was a great professional.
I highly recommend Citywide. I should have skipped the handyman and gone straight to the pros.

The things that made my experience with Citywide Plumbing great:
- my phone call was answered by the service provider (not a 3rd party answering service or a machine)
- I received a quote over the phone
- was able to get a same day appointment and Johnny arrived on time
- Johnny put on shoe covers before entering our home and without being prompted to!
- Johnny was friendly and efficient (and of course, successful in clearing the kitchen sink drain)
- as a bonus, he noted that the garbage disposal and dishwasher hose were not ideally situated and proactively addressed those

We had a major bathroom leak and blockage from an unknown cause. One contractor came out and didn't really know what to do. He ultimately flaked out. Then I called Johnny at Citywide. He came in two hours and methodically analyzed the problem, cutting access holes as needed and snaking the pipes without solving the problem. Then he looked outside and noticed the external drain pipes were the likely problem. It was the source of the blockage and the leak. Replacing the rusted clogged pipe fixed the problem. He also dealt with two slow running shower drains that were easy to fix. Price was a bit steep but he did a very good and professional job.
Citywide responded very quickly to my request for a quote and scheduled a free estimate with zero complications. Johnny's visit was helpful, courteous, and informative. I was looking for advice on how best to maintain our home's prone-to-clogging pipes, and he offered a realistic assessment. Johnny spelled out the pros & cons of several options, and offered verbal estimates for each.
In the end, I decided to pause my plans to do maintenance work, with new confidence from Johnny's evaluation of my situation. It's great to know I can call them in the future. Thanks, Citywide!
Had a great experience just like everyone else it seems. The guy came out on time (sorry, his name escapes me) and was so easy going and knowledgeable. I called them out to assess some issues in my crawlspace and saved me a ton of money by seeing the simple cause of an otherwise complicated problem. I will happily call them out next time I have an issue.
I have an older home with outdated plumbing.Had a slow draining bathroom sink and leaking faucets.I tried to fix it myself and realized it was beyond me.I called CITYWIDE PLUMBING in the morning and Johnny called me back in less than 15min.He said he would come tomorrow around 12.He called me around 11 and said his other client finished early.Johnny came saw the problem and started working. He was done in less 3hrs.He said he would come back tomorrow at 12 to replace a sink drain that he didn't like.The sink and hot water still had a slow leak.He didn't complain and was very professional in attacking the problems.Johhny was very professional,efficient, clean and friendly.The price he quoted was very fair.I would highly recommend CITYWIDE PLUMBING and would use them again
Johnny has helped me twice now with two different water heater diagnoses and replacements. Both times he has been prompt, neat, and efficient. Pricing has been reasonable and honest as well. Will definitely be going with Citywide in the future for plumbing needs.
As usual, excellent work by Citywide in finding an elusive leak in our condo building and repairing it. Highly recommend for any plumbing work.

You will not be disappointed by the service from Citywide Plumbing . Johnny is on time , wears shoe covers , and completes job in timely manner and as promised . He did a great job upgrading our shower faucet from its retro style of separate hot and cold knobs to one handle, and fixed our Kitchen water pressure which required some re-piping. Aww so nice to have water pressure again ! It was a tremendous value to our home. And when we had a clogged sewer system , I happened to call Afterhours , Johnny was going to come help us anyway despite he was going on vacation next day and needed a good night sleep . Thank you Johnny ! I know you're not emergency plumbing service but thank you all the same.

Johnny is the best. I had destroyed my garbage disposal by putting Drano in it for ten years (yes, I'm an idiot) and water was leaking all over my kitchen floor. Johnny was on-the-spot literally within a couple of hours and fixed me up with a brand new disposal in a flash. While he was there, he even ungunked our bathroom sink (free of charge) and showed me how to do it myself with a cheap zipper snake you can get on Amazon for a couple of bucks. Now that's great customer service!

Citywide was great. Tune came out and was able to determine the pooling water in my neighbor's and my yard was not from a broken line on our property as the city of San Francisco was suggesting. City of San Francisco wanted a report from a licensed plumbing company. We were then able to show San Francisco Water Citywide's report and then have the City of San Francisco come back out to do a water test in order to determine if it was groundwater or a leak from a main up the hill. Citywide was amazing in not charging us since they said they did not have to do much other than write a report and their was nothing to give an estimate of. Thank you Citywide!
Citywide told me 11-3 and was here at 11:15 and out in half an hour. We had a leaky sink someone had already fixed [don't have your handyman do anything it doesn't work y'all] and immediately diagnosed and fixed it with a part in his truck for $325.
Best yet, he's super honest. He tried to help me fix the sink by phone when I called him for free before he came over and charged me. Really lovely dude!
This is a long overdue super awesome 5-star review of Johnny / Citywide Plumbing. Johnny has helped me with drains, leaks, water pressure, and installs at our home since 2014. He always responds quickly and always shows up when he says he will. He is considerate and always helpful with whatever the problem is.
Not only has Johnny helped me with multiple plumbing situations, but I am feeling especially grateful right now because of two recent challenges: first, our contractors covered over our water valve, but Johnny figured it out so we can replace our dying fridge, and the second being an emergency water overflow at my mother's place and Johnny came out and cleared it up pronto. He is great!
Johnny did a great job fixing our drain problem. I was quoted $295.00 to unclog our drain. When he couldn't get it unclogged he had to open the wall. He said that would cost more. He proceeded to open the wall and fixed the problem. Cost more! $675.00 for 1 hours work. You are correct. Two other people came out and couldn't get it unclogged.

Our toilet was clogged for three days and I tried everything from plunging to hot water and soap but noting help. So I decided to send a message to CityWide Plumbing and request a quote. I told them the situation about the clog and leak coming out from the base of the toilet and they gave me a quote to remove the toilet and place a new seal and reinstall. Johnny came in but because of the small space he couldn't lift the toilet but instead just unclog the toilet to which I was grateful. He ended up charging me half of the original price and suggested a new toilet installation because the current toilet was in bad shape. Overall, he was friendly, knew the COVID protocol even wore booties inside the home. Normally you would imagine I would give less than 5 stars because of the unfulfilled work but because of the situation he still managed to get half the job done and charged me a fair price. I will more likely hire them again for the new toilet installation. #fivestars

This review is overdo as the work was done in November 2020. Johnny and Joey whom we hired to unclogged the kitchen sink due to rusted, clogged, and cracked pipes did not disappoint. This was our first time using Citywide, and they were recommended by a family member. We had a clogged sink for days and needed to find a plumber. Johnny came highly recommended by my cousin who had used their services a few times. First, they were on time. I don't think I have ever experienced this from anywhere which is a good first impression. This shows he cares about his business and his clients. Johnny looks at what needs to be done and they both worked immediately. They were fast, efficient, professional, and did excellent work. Doesn't hurt that they have a sense of humor, and I felt comfortable asking questions. I can't comment on the price as we trusted our cousin's recommendation and it needed to be done. So glad we put our trust in hiring them. Every five star review here is true!

Johnny was on time and very professional. He quickly determined that the leak in my ceiling was coming from above the cast iron pipe. He poured some water down a drain above to see if that was the source, but it wasn't. He informed us that we need a water proofing specialist rather than a plumber. He could have done what other plumbers did--quote me a few hundred bucks to replace the pipe coupler, but he was honest to advise us that plumbing wouldn't fix this leak and to never accept estimates or hire plumbers without onsite inspection. I will call them for any future plumbing needs!

Johnny from Citywide has come through in the clutch! Citywide, for the win, again! Had a water heater leak, and the home warranty insurance would not cover replacement until I replaced some old, single walled venting that connected to the water heater. Johnny came out, scoped the project, and he and a co-worker, came out to fix it quickly, even though the necessary sized piping was tough to find. He got finished with the job an hour earlier than estimated, cleaned up quickly, and when my water heater installer that was assigned by my insurance company came to install the water heater, he said that my plumber did a perfect job! Johnny even left an extre pipe piece for the water heater installer. Doesn't get any better than that. Thanks Johnny!
I wish I could give them 0 stars. They came out to give me a free estimate and proceeded to work on my old leaking water heater by putting a hose on it, making me think this job had started. I had a couple other quotes from people for $1900 to do the work. The tech, Tung, told me it was a shorty water heater and would cost more money. I asked repeatedly for him to break out the cost of the parts/heater, the labor and tax but he never did. I signed for it because the work was done but then I saw that they put two sticks under my new water heater. I've called and asked them to explain their total charges at $2175 and they offered me a token $100 refund. Then they phoned me to call me a liar because I later signed the paperwork on the job, and reneged on the refund offer. I'm not sure how I can trust a business that a) started work without my permission, b) never broke out the cost of what I was paying for, c) never explained why they used two sticks below the heater and if that is their permanent solution to the problem. This heater is not rare, and costs $589 at Home Depot. All I want is an explanation and breakdown of costs that is honest.
UPDATE (Feb. 13): Response to the comment below. Please don't try to distort reality and lie here on Yelp to potential customers. I was there and he used my hose to take water out of the old water heater before a price was given and before I signed documents. Not at any time was the price broken down for me, and this is the very first time anyone said I was charged for an extra person. The work order shows absolutely no breakdown of cost, nor does it mention a cost for an extra worker. This is a classic case of sales pressure while I am in a bind with a leaking water heater. They started the work right away, never gave me a clear breakdown of cost, and are now trying to change reality after the fact. I am attaching the work order so you can see that pricing is anything but clear. Finally, I looked at the model number of the water heater that was installed and it is EXACTLY the same model as the one at Home Depot.

I called Citywide when I had issues with my kitchen sink. Johnny was courteous, responsive and arrived on time. He explained the problem (drain pipe replacement) thoroughly and gave me the best quote out of several places I called to compare it with. The job was done quickly and my sink works perfectly now. If I need plumbing work again, I will definitely use Citywide.
A couple of days ago, I was having difficulty igniting the water heater pilot light. I called Johnny and he said that he would come by the house to inspect the water heater within an hour. Fortunately, I was able to ignite the pilot light. This is typical of the service and responsiveness characterized by Johnny and his company.

I had Citywide come out and take a look at a leak I was having. They said there were two problems which would cost a total of almost $1,700 together. I got a second opinion from another plumber who determined the leak had a completely different cause and fixed it for $250.
I can't say anything one way or another about their plumbing skill, but their estimating and evaluation need some work.

My toilet wasn't working water was spraying everywhere. I called Citywide Plumbing and they were able to come over right away to fix the issue. They were fast and reliable, I will definitely use them again!
AH-MAZING! Called yesterday. They showed up today exactly when they said they would. The plumber was a happy, polite, pleasant and smart man named Tung. He was delightful, efficient, patient with my questions. Love these people! Under our sink we had puddles of water. We thought the dishwasher was causing leaks but Tung realized it was the disposal.
He got everything fixed quickly and with a great sense of humor and smile. Hard working and fantastic. So thankful for their prompt response and excellent and professional service. Bless you people! One problem solved and that is a relief for me.
***DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE** We had them come out to fix a garbage disposal that had started to get clogged after we there was something jammed (which we ended up removing) . They attempted to snake our garbage disposal with a few different snakes and were unable to figure out what the problem is. They ended up saying Your pipes are old and filled with grease so we cant fix it How can this be? Our entire house was remodeled 4 years ago, including the pipes. Not only did they make the clog worse, they ended up charing us more than the quote they provided. (Quoted $275 and CHARGED $460 )You need new pipes and it will cost you $1485. Are you kidding me? $1485 to replace pipes that were already replaced 4 years ago. What a joke!
Tung was fantastic. Highly recommend him. He was efficient and thorough. We replaced a western overflow, kitchen sink piping and faucet, new garbage disposal, outdoor spicket and he helped fixed our shower drain that was improperly installed. Thank you Citywide!

Excellent experience with these folks. Johnny was awesome and went above and beyond. In edition to doing the job, he fixed a drain cap outside our house for free. Great guy and highly recommend.
Very satisfied. Their guy came out and ID'ed my problem (banging sound that I thought was old pipes or loose pipes) and essentially gave me a fix in like 10 minutes. Super easy.
I mean these guys are so good, so professional and so nice, I at first did not want to write a review because then others may find them, and they'll be hard to book when we need them. But even then, in all my communications and dealings with Johnny and citywide were ontime, responsive, flexible with scheduling, and fairly priced. In a particularly troublesome gas leak situation, Johnny was the only one to be able to properly detect and fix the leak, doing what others could not. Tung always gives you the best information about the problem, and you can see they want to always do the best job. Thanks to Johnny, Tung, Joey and all other citywide guys, thank you again highly recommend 100%.

Citywide Plumbing was the only plumbing company that was able to send out a technician the very next morning - I put in a request for a quote the night before at 7pm - all other plumbing companies couldn't be available until the day after.
I had a leaky kitchen sink and had no clue why or what the fix was. Justin came over at 10:30am the next morning, assessed the problem, and was able to get it fixed within 20 mins. Granted it was an easy fix, I'm just not a handy person lol. He even cleaned all the water under my sink and dried everything.
Friendly and super fast service! Definitely a returning customer in the future for any plumbing needs!

I recently noticed a leak in our bathroom and called Citywide Plumbing for a diagnosis. Tung came out, and said that one of our pipelines must have a leak.
He was able to fix the problem before it got worse. It was a small fix but he was still careful in what he did, trying not to turn a small job into a big one. I love that they weren't one of those companies who say you have to repair multiple things when only one thing is broken.
I love that about their service; very direct and professional. A great value for your money.
We had a blocked line in our buildings laundry room that was causing flooding from the washing machines. We called Citywide Plumbing to get the line snaked, and they were super flexible about getting us an appointment same day. Darren showed up right on time and discovered that far from being a simple clogged pipe, the original contractors had actually completely botched the original installation. He crawled through super tight spaces to get the line cleared, then replaced the rusted out components with brand new brass fittings, and included a maintenance valve so we wouldn't ever have to go through this kind of hassle again.
Darren really went above and beyond in providing exceptional service to us. He explained exactly what the problem was, walked us through step by step what his solution would be, and then stayed late to make sure it got done on the same day. It's funny, because when you start a review and yelp and give 5 stars it shows a little label saying Woohoo! As good as it gets!. And that's exactly what our experience with Darren and Citywide was. I've had to work with a few different contractors for our building and the entire process of working with Citywide from start to finish was exceptional.
I was super satisfied. Didn't take too long, workers arrived on time, they were also nice and not rude at all! Very professional I would say. They were trustworthy. 100% would call CityWide (Johnny) again! Great service, loved it. Thank you so much!

Had a great experience with Citywide on two occasions. Tung and Justin were both on time and very knowledgeable answering any questions I had on my building's plumbing. Awesome customer service, communication, efficiency and reasonable pricing. Highly recommended
They agreed to fix my tankless heater that was leaking. After replacing three components without a clear reason, the problem was not fixed. When I asked them to figure out what the next steps are or refund me the amount, they immediately refunded me the amount. Two days later, the heater stopped producing warm water, and is still leaking. When I asked them if they can come and fix the problem they probably caused I received an unprofessional response. In short, they agree to perform a task they are clearly not trained to do.

Totally appreciate CityWide (Johnny) for his prompt response to my call for assistance in hooking up some gifted appliances, and replacing an old rusted gas pipe from the meter to the house. The work was done quickly, efficiently, professionally, and priced reasonably. Johnny is a good guy, too, very friendly, as is his assistant Joey. I asked them for a quote to replace our sewer line and their estimate was $18k. I got other much lower estimates and went with a company that charged only $7k for the same exact service. They never replied to my email asking for explanation for why their price was SO much higher.
Did not stick to pricing they quoted me on the phone. Tung added an up charge for water heater install. shady. We were pressured and forced to accept his revised pricing as we were in a time crunch. Tung knew this and pounced with a bogus extra fee for lifting the water heater onto a pedestal....which I later read all water heaters have to be on a raised pedestal in a garage setting...which they knew during the initial phone call. lame.

Citywide Plumbing did a great job replacing our old pipes. The job was quite a task getting the new pipes from one part of the house to the other but Tung and Johnny were very skillful and obviously experienced and were able to get the job done for a fair cost compared to the other estimates. Everything is working great and we would highly recommend them!

I had a plumbing issue after a bathroom remodel and they helped me solve the issue incredibly quickly. They walked me through the easy fix myself and saved me hundreds of dollars. Highly professional and will definitely call when I have other plumbing needs!
It's always a weird thing trying to pick the right person to help resolve your issues especially as a home owner .
I called Johnny at city wide plumbing, besides showing up on time he was very knowledgeable , professional , and I felt a secure feeling that if I give him the job it would be done right. I have tried other plumbers out in the past and it has been horrible experiences.
Johnny was efficient , well priced, dependable , and very clean which I appreciate greatly. He helped me resolve a few plumbing issues that were time sensitive since I live in LA and rent out my SF property. City wide plumbing will have a life long customer, thank you Johnny for everything you are the best .
We live in the city and just finished our renovation. I called many plumbers to get quotes and Johnny is by far the most reliable, dependable, and trustworthy plumber out there. He is very responsive, helpful, reasonably priced, does excellent work, and is super nice. He even went to the supply store several times to look for a better-looking shower head for me in one of the bathrooms. I had quite a bit of work that needed to be done (plumbing work for kitchen and 3 bathrooms), and not only was he able to get the job done quickly and efficiently, but he was able to get the permit and inspection done for me within a week!
Johnny did all of the following for me:
- Changed all the water shut-off valves for the kitchen and 3 bathrooms (faucets and toilets)
- Removed and installed 3 Toto Legato one piece toilets (I had other plumbers tell me they couldn't install these)
- Installed 3 bathroom faucets
- Installed 3 shower fixtures for me
- Installed 2 vanities for me and mirrors
- Changed the drain and piping for me in our tub to shower conversion in the master (not an easy job)
- Installed a new kitchen faucet
- Installed a cold/hot water dispenser for me
- Changed the garbage disposal
He did all of that work in a day and a half and did an excellent job. I had a minor problem with the garbage disposal a month later (bad unit), and he came within a couple of days and replaced the faulty unit for me. He is the best plumber out there and I will definitely keep him on speed dial for all of my plumbing needs.

Five stars for being straight shooters. I thought I needed to replace my shower valve. Someone from Citywide came out to take a look and gave me a quote that was higher than I expected. But as an alternative he suggested I just replace the cartridge. He even told me where to go and what to look for. I did the job for a fraction of the price. Big thank you for their honesty in talking me out of an unnecessary high-priced job.
I knew Johnny was my guy when he 1) showed up not just on time, but early and 2) wore shoe covers into my house. He is also super fast to respond, very nice, and is an honest guy. Johnny has helped me to do the hookups for my washer/dryer combo unit, and also replaced my shower faucet. I had a tight deadline since I am preparing my condo to rent to a new tenant shortly, and even though Johnny was booked out for another month, he rearranged his schedule to help accommodate mine. I can't say enough great things about him! He is my go-to plumber and I highly recommend him.
Long story short.... I had a horrible experience with previous iffy contractors so I went on Yelp and searched for a company with NO negative reviews. If i saw even one negative review I moved on to find a next one. I couldnt take anymore risk with sketchy contractors giving me extremes in quotes.
My water heater was a time sensitive matter that involved my HOA. I came across this Yelp page and was impressed by all the positive remarks. Through Yelp, I clicked on Request a quote and it indicated that the response time would be in 3 hours. In my request I explained to Johnny my previous drama and he actually Yelped me back with his number in 30 minutes! I was at work at the time so we communicated through text. I work in the Operating Room, so text is the most convenient way of communication with me. Ive actually never even met Johnny or spoke to him verbally . Sadly thats how much I work, but through text and email,he got the job done.
My situation was a pretty tough one. The builders in my development built the homes so that a specific type of water heater had to be installed here- pro vent blah blah. Its not possible to buy an ordinary water heater from Home Depot and install it. Before Johnny, that was done and it was completely wrong. The type of water heater that was initially installed in my home was no longer made by the company.
Immediately , Johnny took matters in his own hands. He was in contact with my HOA contact for me which helped me a lot. It took a few weeks to get the job done because the water heater he installed was a special order.
Johnny provided excellent service and I would highly recommend him for any job because Im confident he can get ANY job done.

I feel like I found my personal plumber! lol Johnny is very helpful, honest, and knowledgeable. We had a leak from our toilet and he came out quickly to give us a free estimate. After some time of lagging on my part, I finally contacted him to do the work. He did an awesome job fixing the leak, and guess what, I paid 1/3 of the price he originally quoted me for. I also had him check the other leaks in the bathroom and he happily helped me.
I am now texting (and bugging) him about replacing my old tub/shower fixtures. Glad to have found a reliable plumber I can trust. I highly recommend him!
After further correspondence with the business owner, I've changed my opinion about this business. The owner offered to come back and do a free camera inspection to see what they missed and refund my $200. Due to the fact that they obviously care a lot about their good-standing with customers and that he went above and beyond to resolve my concern, I would hire them again for another job. I'd just make sure to understand the warranty and terms up front.

I have used Citywide Plumbing quite a few times and have been happy with their work, They always show up on time and solve my problems.
Citywide is the best! Johnny and Justin are awesome! Had Johnny purchase and install a water heater and he was able to do within 1 day of me asking! I've had him do a couple of smaller jobs too and he was always so nice and explained everything to me that he wd be doing so i wd easily understand! Needless to say once you have Johnny and Justin as your plumber you will never regret it! Oh and Johnny's prices are very reasonable. I love that i have a decent and honest plumber now.

Johnny and Tung are pretty much the BEST plumbers in San Francisco. I will NEVER work with anyone else as long as they are around.
I had 3 different plumbers prior to Citywide try to fix a gas leak we had, one attempted and fail, the other was going to just install a whole new pipe and didn't want to attempt to fix the current leak, and another gave up completely since we are on the 4th floor of a walk-up. We did not have gas for 6 months and I was about to give up.
I don't know why we didn't ask them sooner but when we did, Johnny was determined to fix the current pipe even though at this point we decided to just have a new pipe installed. He insisted and said he was sure he could fix it. We were skeptical at first, but HE DID IT! And so fast. I seriously cannot believe we have our gas back.
AND, Tung has come over to fix a couple water leaks and install an electric water heater since we didn't have gas. All fixes were done perfectly and so fast.
This is the ONLY company that has my utmost confidence. I trust them completely. They are the EXPERTS on any plumbing situation, they are not only smart, but they know how to work through a situation where others are too by the book. Thank you so much Johnny and Tung for all your hard work.
I contacted him through request a quote link on his Yelp page. He was quick to respond and punctual when he showed up. His prices are fair/average compared to everyone else, but he was quick to respond, and that's why he got my business.
Long story short, he changed the faucet in my kitchen. He was even honest and said it was repairable, but gave me the option of a new one. I decided with a new one, given I already purchased it from an outside vendor. Took about an hour at most to do the job.
I'd use him again.

My shower was having issues and the temperature did not change with corresponding adjustments to the shower handle so I needed a plumber to take a look and fix it. I made an appointment and Johnny was punctual and quick to fix my shower.
Cost: 185 bucks for labor, 55 bucks for the two parts needed to replace my valve/cartridge.

I needed to relocate our laundry and replace old leaking galvanized drain pipes. I determined that the best way to do both of these was to relocate the main cast iron drain line to underneath our basement floor.
I expected it to cost a lot and I wanted to get a few quotes. The first plumber insulted our house when he came out. He proposed a solution which was fairly expensive, but would have kept the pipe above the floor, which I felt was not a definitive solution. I didn't want him back in our house.
I called Johnny and he came out and really listened to what I needed. We traded ideas until we came up with a good solution. He shot me a number to relocate the line and some other work, which was less than I expected. He emailed me later: He thought more about it and could do it for less! I bailed on getting more quotes and went with Johnny.
I expected to be without plumbing for a week. He came out and got going, while I went to work. When I got back, everything was done except for the new concrete. My wife was home and he gave her status updates and kept the plumbing downtime to a minimum. He came out later and finished-up. The new system looks great and works great.
We've had him out since for three service calls unrelated to the first project. On the third one, the easy solution didn't work, but he quickly found the root cause. This meant more under-slab work. He very quickly shot me a price. He came out a couple of days later and was done well before I got home. As before, the cost was what he quoted.
We are extremely please with Johnny and have recommended him to others.

Johny is amazing. I don't even know where to begin...
We decided to do some repiping work on our new house, and obtained several bids. Johnny was the only one who felt honest and didn't try to increase the scope of work. His price was a little higher than the bids from big companies, but seeing the work, it was worth it.
Our house is 100 years old, with a lot of deferred maintenance, so as Johnny fixed one problem, another one arose. Johnny expertly diagnosed the problem, gave us advice and proposed solutions. Johnny also completed the additional work quickly without making us wait in between, and was incredibly easy to communicate with!!
Johnny also noticed we had dry rot in our bathroom walls due to work done before we purchased the home, and told us exactly what steps to take. Once we hired a contractor to demo the bathroom, Johnny easily collaborated with them on all the plumbing work, inspections, etc. This made our life so much easier!
If you need to repipe, bring bathrooms up to code, fix sewage lines, install sum pumps, these guys will do it well.
My husband and I can't recommend Johnny / Citywide plumbing highly enough.

Johnny recently installed a couple of sinks and a water heater. My tankless was dying because it was installed improperly by the previous owner and it wasn't until Johnny pointed out a couple of things before I noticed the details. The difference in what sets his work apart is that he completes the job as if it were his own house. He'll give you an honest opinion with the pros and cons. What else could you ask for? Citywide is my go to for all plumbing.

My place had a few plumbing issues and rather than deal with it, we just did work arounds. Well, when one of those issues became a faulty toilet valve, it was time to get things done. Luckily Johnny from Citywide Plumbing responded quickly. We did try calling a couple other places first (thanks Yelp) but one was busy for the next week and the other wasn't able to come over until the next day. Johnny was prompt and came early in the two hour window he gave us. He gave us a very reasonable estimate for the three items I needed him to address. Unfortunately he was pretty busy too, but was able to come first thing the next morning to take care of our plumbing problems. We got our water heater leak fixed, our toilet valve fixed and he installed a new shower diverter. The whole time he was courteous and friendly, getting the work done very efficiently and explaining things to my husband as he went along. He wore shoe covers the whole time too which I appreciated. Nice to have someone concerned about keeping his work area clean.
Hopefully I won't need to call him again for a long time, but maybe I'll start thinking about changing out that sink in my kitchen. Highly recommend if you need some professional plumbing help. Johnny's your guy!

I needed a dryer vent installed for my gas dryer (in garage, very long distance to travel to the outside) and part of my gas line replaced--Johnny and his team did a fantastic job at a really fair price!
Johnny was the only plumber I talked to who recommended that I get a booster fan to help with venting and condensation build up since the vent pipe is way longer than standard due to where my laundry hook ups are in the garage. Such a good idea as it turns out!
The installation was well done, good materials used, and everything was neat and tidy when they left. Johnny was incredibly responsive via phone and email, and was on time for both the estimate and subsequent work.
I'm incredibly pleased and Citywide Plumbing will be my go-to company for any future plumbing work.
P.S. There was a small issue with the fan (a fluke manufacturing issue, nothing to do with Citywide's work), and Johnny came out to replace it and fix the problem. I really appreciated his conscientiousness and quality of service.
These guys are amazing. Not only are they punctual and professional, they respond so fast. They didn't have all the parts to fix my leaky shower handle the first time so they did a temporary fix and came back to fix it with the new parts. The new parts was only a few dollars and they didn't even charge me for them or for coming back the 2nd time. Amazing! This company is my go to company from now on for any plumbing needs. Citywide is great! We had an issue with a shower and they were fantastic. I texted photos back and forth to see if we could diagnose the problem without a visit. Unfortunately a visit was necessary and Tung came and he was great. He was right on time, wore shoe covers and was efficient. We were facing having to rip out and replace tile ($$$$) but Tung was patient and experimented with a few different tools until he found a way to resolve our issue quickly and cheaply--without having to replace any tile. We'll definitely use them for any plumbing needs in the future.

Found johnny via yelp search. I called to discuss problem w my water heater and he knew exactly what the problem was (failed thermal coupler). He replaced it within minutes with $10 copper assembly unit at no charge but had a policy of 2 hour minimum for labor which I had no problem paying and was still less than other competitor was charging. Johnny was very professional and took the time to explain the problem and offered his opinion of other units when asked. I would definitely contact Johnny again for future plumbing services.
Johnny showed up on time and installed a new kitchen faucet for me.
He also located and repaired a slow leak I had noticed but hadn't been able to fix under the sink. He was very polite and pleasant to work with.
He did an excellent job for me. I will definitely use this company in the future.

Extremely disappointed with the service provided. After multiple visits, hundreds of dollars, diagnosing the issue incorrectly, and not fixing our clogged toilet, we ended up hiring a different company who was able to fix the problem immediately. I never write negative reviews, but this was just a bad experience. The owner was highly inflexible and unprofessional after we expressed dissatisfaction with the service. We would never consider hiring them and would encourage others to go elsewhere.

Amazing good, clean, profession installation! We are very happy with Tung's work. Our 17 years old Water heater leaking and beyond repair. We sent out 3 requests in the morning. Citywide called back in 20 minutes and came as promised around 12 noon the same day. Tung wrote up an estimate of ~2K (delivered & installed & discard of old Water Heater) for a new Reems
40 gallon NG water heater including new copper piping & new valves and new hardware .... price was higher than we thought and we decided to wait for another estimate for comparison. However, Tung advised us if we remove the old water heater and deliver the new water heater from curbside to basement, we could save the labor cost of up & down 2 flight of stairs. We did and got a discount. Maybe we paid too much but we love Tung's installation and our new hot water unit .... thank you CityWide.

We called Citywide Plumbing to help us install an under the counter reverse osmosis filtration system. Johnny quoted us a very reasonable price and was able to glean from photos whether he would be able to install the RO filter - HUGE time saver. Some companies wanted to charge just to come out and take a peek under the sink.
Johnny arrived promptly and was able to install the reverse osmosis under counter water filter in less than 2 hours. He was clean, efficient and able to trouble shoot our lack of space seamlessly.
Highly recommend calling Johnny for any plumbing issues. He works hard and is as honest and knowledgeable as they come.

I would Like to thank Citywide Plumbing and Justin for great service today. Yesterday my bathroom faucet began to leak quite bad. Not wanting to waste water and time I used Yelp to find a plumbing company. Citywide has great reviews and I know why. Justin came to my house promptly at 11:00 a.m., my service window was 11:00 to 1:00. He diagnosed the problem, explained it too me and gave me a fair quote. Johnny was able to get the Kohler toilet I wanted at a lower cost than on homedepot.com.
He also found and printed the forms for a $125 rebate for the model.
He was on time, clean with his work, and delivered a quality service in the anticipated time.
I'm for sure going back to him for all of my plumbing work.
My water heater stopped working recently. Joey T. arrived 20 minutes after I called. He left, returned with a new water heater, installed it, and removed the old water heater in less than two hours. That's service!
Johnny is a man of his word. He really goes over and above to assure that the customer (that's me) is happy and satisfied. I hired CWP to complete a bathroom remodel and when I pressed to get some help installing fixtures he accommodated to help me get the job done (I'm not a fan of contractors or dealing with people in my home). The plumbing was not easy, as the new space was a little far from the other bathroom. One plumber rejected the job entirely - another said I'd need a special toilet to properly function. Johnny hooked me up with the standard toliet that I wanted and I've not had any problems.
I understood the problems the other plumbers identified and Johnny showed me how he solved each of them. The bigger issue ended up being the venting which unfortunately Johnny had to do twice as the first time he came out the wall and I needed him to go out the roof. (That was due to a miscommunication where we both thought we understood, but ended up not). Handling that miscommunication really sold me on Johnny. Rather than him being upset or charging me extra to 'fix' what was arguably something I agreed to, Johnny and his brother just made it right and didn't look back or make me feel badly. Johnny and his brother were neat and respectful and punctual. I dread having workers in my home and dealing with contractors... If they were all like Johnny I'd almost look forward to it!
I highly recommend CWP, it's a family operation that is run with high moral and technical skills. A completely satisfied customer.
OH My GAWD, Johnny was super SUPER fantastic and super SUPER fast. He was very polite and fully skilled of his work. He fixed my shower drain quick and easy. AND explains to me the details first of the issue before he start working my shower drain. That was done and quick! Fixed my Aunt's- (who is our main guardian after our mom passed away) -Kitchen sink upstairs too. Johnny was able to explain to my aunt clearly and understandable (since my aunt's English is limited). Always smiling too. :)

Johnny is the best. Honest, friendly, professional, and works hard. He has unclogged my kitchen sink twice, and also installed a water heater for us. Both times that he unclogged our kitchen sink went smoothly and quickly; he ran his snake twice to ensure the clogs were clear both times and cleaned up after himself. When our water heater started to leak, I called him up on a weekend just to leave a voicemail and get on his schedule the following week to install a new water heater. He called me back within an hour even though it was the weekend and got me scheduled. Johnny ended up having to return two of the water heaters he picked up from Home Depot because they were dented (!!!!) but once he picked up the third water heater, he installed it quickly. His prices are fair, he's always prompt, wears boot covers when he enters your house, and is an absolute professional.
Needed to fix a clogged sink and checked Yelp for plumbers in the area. Called Citywide and spoke to Johnny, who provided a ballpark estimate over the phone. Scheduled an appt for later that week. Johnny called a few hours before the appt confirm time and logistics. Sure enough he was there on time and fixed the problem without any hassles. In and out in ~30min.
It may seem obvious to expect someone to show up on time and do the work as expected. But this isn't always the case. Johnny was friendly, reliable, professional and knowledgeable. Even spent the time to answer a few questions I had about our water heater. And he knows where to find a good slice of pizza! Would call Citywide again in a heartbeat!

Excellent work. We have lived in many different places and have worked with many plumbers. But we have never had a plumber that provides the type of quality and service that Citywide Plumbing ha provided. Everyday he was on time... right on the dot.
The work that we needed to be done was pretty intense. We had them install a tankless water heater, run all new, larger, gas piping, and run all new copper pipes for the two new bathrooms, renovated kitchen and renovated laundry room. The amount of work was tremendous, but the end results were better than expected.
The best part is that they contact you after the work has been completed to make sure that their work is working properly. If there is a problem that comes up, they make sure that it is fixed promptly.
I would recommend these guys to anyone who is in need to a plumber. For the quality and price, they are the best.

The day before meeting Johnny we called another plumber that shall not be named from Yelp. He came to our house and TALKED to us for almost 2 hours!!! Explaining how he's never seen stems(which he refused to even try to take out) like ours and that he would have to research but ultimately tried to charge us 280.00 without doing any work or even knowing what was causing our bathtub faucet to leak.
We called Johnny the following morning and he was @ our house within 20 minutes. He took out the stem and explained that it's an unusual stem but he had a hutch on where to find it. He left and called us within 30 minutes letting us know he found our unusual stems. So if we track the time, Johnny came out to our home & within a hour not only knew what our problem was but had the replacement parts.
He was professional, did a great job of explaining our options but most importantly he knew what he was talking about.
Johnny saved us who knows how much $$?! After just one service with him, we've already decided we will call no one else for plumbing issues except Johnny. Yeah he's that good....I meant GREAT!

My own plumber said it take him 20 minutes to fix it and then failed to make an schedual for doing the job. He did not answers my text. My second plumber told me Friday 11, will come to my condo, and then again said I meant next friday. We called this morning after dealing with a clogged pipe that our manual snake couldn't fix. Johnny was super friendly, and offered same day service. He even called to let us know he was available earlier than expected, which was perfect for us ! My brother received a recommendation for Citywide Plumbing through his boss and set up our initial estimate. Johnny did a fantastic job replacing and installing a new toilet. He is a consummate professional, honest, extremely friendly, and knowledgeable when giving advice and suggestions. He was patient and explained each step of the process in clear layman's terms. Johnny was on time for both appointments and was able to replace my toilet in about an hour. I thought his rate was very very reasonable, considering the goofy (ahem, shoddy) remodel the previous owner did to the bathroom.
Extra kudos - I have a 3 floor townhouse and he did a lot of running up and down stairs. He took the time and care to ensure the toilet was installed correctly and warrantied his work for 1 year. Extra awesomeness: he had little shoe covers for inside the house.

Johnny took some measurements and went off to get the parts. Shortly after our new washer and gas dryer were installed, he even went out of his way to get the basin to drain faster.

Some time last year we called up Johnny to come visit our place for a project, which later we decided not to do. But we were very impressed with his expertise, knowledge and advice he gave us. He's very professional, straight-forward and bear the customers' best interest in mind. So this time we suspected our contractor did shorty work in plumbing during home remodel and we have this nasty smell in the crawl space and garage. We called up Johnny again to do an inspection for us. He showed up on time for our appointment and he inspected our pipes thoroughly. Turned out there was nothing wrong with our plumbing system but at least we have peace of mind that the plumbing system didn't cause the smell... He's very patient and listened to our concerns. We pointed out a few spots that might contribute to the smell but he ruled them out. He thinks it's skunks' smell coming from outside. He has such a big heart and went beyond our expectation by helping us place a sturdy plastic under a drain cover where the heaviest smell came from. Hats off to you!!! Johnny was great. He cut out eight feet of concrete in the basement, installed new pipe from a toilet which was repeatedly plugged. He replaced some corroded pipe that was not part of the original job at no extra cost. he replaced the concrete, unplugged a floor drain, cleaned up, and removed all the waste material. came on time and finished early. Charged $1,000 less than highest bid. highly recommended.
Johnny was great!! He is good on returning calls and was on time when he came in to fix the water heater. He was prompt, sufficient, best service and Especially, he was the only one who gave the lowest estimate $175....others quoted me $185 to $200. Now I have hot water...thanks Johnny.

Had to replace our kitchen facet. Tung came early and help replaced our facet. It seemed like an easy job however the water lines were different size. Tung had to buy adapters for the water line. It took a little over an hour for the job and he help answer a few questions for me about the bathroom line. Thanks again Tung! :)
My plumbing issue is not common like most reviews. My main water line to my house broke so my driveway had to be jackhammered and dug up and the concrete re poured. I searched Yelp for all the 4 + star plumbers and Johnny was one of them. I called Johnny and got an estimate and he gave me the best price including permits. His price was a lil bit more than half of what other plumbers estimated at.
Johnny and his bro came out 2 days later and dug up my ground and laid the new copper pipe. Next day inspector signed off and he poured the concrete and finished up. They cleaned everything up and all was good with the final inspection.
I'd recommend Johnny to anyone who has any plumbing issues!
I found Johnny right here on Yelp. I was worried because we had quite a large job - definitely large for us and we never worked with him before.
Thanks for all your detailed reviews because it helped me decide on giving him a call and getting an estimate. He was super prompt, his estimate was well received between a few others and very cost effective. He promised me all along that we would be happy with his work. The truth is, one never knows.
Fast forward a couple of weeks later and Johnny started the job. We needed to install new pipes for a washer and dryer - moving them to a separate new location. A new utility sink and remove our current water heater and replace it with an outdoor tankless water heater. Again, completely new plumbing/pipes, new location, etc.
Johnny was super punctual, clean and flexible on the job. He worked hard, very receptive to our needs, our input and where we needed things to be located despite of being a difficult location within the house and crawling space. He never complained, he just went to work and figured things out. He was super respectful and a joy to work with.

I've worked with Johnny on many plumbing jobs with my previous company. He is the only vendor that arrives early and is respectful of the property. He wore shoe covers at all the jobs I asked him to assist with, and was very professional. Always my first choice for any plumbing or water heater job.

We recently had our home repiped, when I mean recently it just happend last week. Johnny was on time and worked very hard to get this done within the days he promised. They are very reasonable in price and I would highly recommend for their customer service. He told my husband and I to keep an eye on the work for the next few days and if there were any problems please let him know as soon as possible. there were some minor issues after the work was completed but Johnny would come back promptly to fix the problem, no matter how late in the day it was. Very down to earth and knows what he is talking about.
The water is running great now, and with the new water heater I do not have to wait for minutes for the warm water to come on. Excellent work and excellent customer service.

If you need an outstanding plumber, have Johnny do the job. He replaced a segment of sewer line that had become clogged up with tree roots. First, he showed up right on time for the estimate. He was meticulous in his measurements and did not charge me to use the camera in the line (the previous plumber tried to charge me $200 for that!). He found out that only 11' of pipe needed to be replaced whereas the other plumber wanted to replace 15'.
Next, he showed up right on time to do the work. The work required hauling equipment and materials up and down 3 long flights of stairs outside the house--he and his co-worker did this cheerfully and without complaint. He let me know when they were going for lunch and to pick up materials, minimized the amount of time when I had to shut off the water, and showed me the work and materials as the job progressed to be sure I approved before it all got buried again under the dirt. When it was all done, everything was back in perfect order--the stairs he had to remove were replaced with screws instead of nails (thank you!), the dirt was back in its place, all the old pipes and joints were hauled off, and the entire area swept up and pristine.
Johnny is a true professional--he is knowledgeable, honest, easy to work with, takes good care of your property and the areas around the work he is doing, friendly, and all around fantastic. He walked me through his recommendations and clearly explained the reasons for the decisions. Oh and did I mention that the price was very reasonable??
I put off having this work done because I couldn't find a decent plumber. If I had known sooner about Johnny, I would have done it a few years ago! I highly recommend him. I will not use any other plumbers in the future.

Johnny was very professional, responsive, efficient and friendly. His schedule was flexible to work around my busy day. He was able to resolve a nasty clog in my spider-web pipping situation in a short period of time. What's grateful is he would minimize/prevent any mess within that area and would clean up afterwards (if any) . His recommendations to prevent any future pipping issues was much appreciated.

Johnny earned all five stars. I have used him for small projects and recently a large project which involved gas lines and venting. He does free estimates, is polite and professional, shows up on time and with the proper equipment, cleans up after himself, charges reasonable rates and backs his work with a warranty. He is my plumber for life.
Johnny is the friendliest plumber we ever dealt with. He's very professional, has reasonable rates, provides excellent service and is very clean when doing his job. Our washing machine was backing up and overflowing to the drain pipe and Johnny fixed it in 45 minutes. I highly recommend Johnny for plumbing needs.

I'm usually only here to write bad reviews when something or someone fails to satisfy me, so this five star review is new for me, but I'll try since it is totally deserved. My hot water heater failed...I called Sears...they scheduled me for a look-see: in 4 weeks! You try not taking a shower for 4 weeks, I said to the handset as I slammed it back into it's cradle. I subsequently came to Yelp for help, and took a leap of faith with Johnny - now I'm a believer, and just out of a hot shower after only 1 day. He's polite, unassuming, friendly, drives a nice new plumbing van and not a rusted out wreck, and came to my rescue the next day (I called at 7PM and he answered!). He didn't complain about two flights of stairs (oops, my bad Johnny: did I forget to mention those?), and took extra effort to protect my wood floors. But what impressed me the most was the quality of his work: new gas shut-off valve, legal earthquake straps, new copper pipe, and he even cleaned the overflow tray and floor in the hot water closet - all this without me having to ask, and believe me all the old equipment was OLD. Johnny rocks, and that's no bs.
I highly recommend these guys. I had a leak in the underground water line leading into my house in Westake district of Daly City. Johnny came out on time the next morning and gave me two estimates, one if he could repair the leak, and another if the entire line need to be replaced with a copper line. We needed to replace the entire line after we saw the galvanized steel was in bad shape. Johnny got the permit, did the work promptly, including the additional work for grounding the water heater with copper, came for the inspection, replaced the soil perfectly, cleaned up well, and charged me less than the estimate. (And that estimate was already less than the other estimate I had obtained.) Again, they get the five stars. I hope I don't need any plumbing work any time soon, but if I do, I will definitely call them.

Johnny is great! He responded to me quickly, came over and gave me an estimate. He took care of 4 problems in my bathroom and kitchen: replaced 2 sets of faucets, one he helped me and bought it for me because it is hard to get, replaced a toilet and rerouted the clothes dryer exhaust that was not working. He is professional and his prices are fair. Johnny lets you know exactly what he is doing. I will call him again for any plumbing jobs I have!

Johnny was fast, very professional, responsive, efficient and friendly. He was very flexible and accommodating with his schedule. He was able to locate the source of a shower leak that we had been troubleshooting for over a year! We had several plumbers and other professional come to diagnose the problem, and everyone else was quoting an outrageous amount and made the issue seem larger than it turned out to be. He also replaced our dryer gas connector with a longer one, so that it would be easier to move the dryer to get behind the shower panel. He cleaned up afterwards, and was very reasonable with his pricing.
We are so grateful to Johnny. I would HIGHLY recommend Citywide Plumbing.
I recently needed to repair my garbage disposal and called Citywide plumbing because of the reviews. I will tell you I was not disappointed. The plumber arrived on time and knew exactly what to do. He gave me a great deal and I will definitely be using them again.
First off, Johnny is both professional and courteous. Johnny replaced the seal to a toilet. The spout to the bath tub was replaced. A new garbage disposal was installed. And a new kitchen sink faucet was installed. Overall, the work done was professional and completed in a timely manner. Pricing was fair. An written estimate was given on the initial visit. Johnny was great ! Called him for a Saturday appointment told him what the problem was and asked him to skip the free estimate at my own risk since I have the parts under warranty. Story is never trust what the Kohler rep is telling you, they got me the wrong warranty parts. So came Saturday, JOHNNY came and saved the day, luckily there is a home depot right off our corner so Johnny hooped on to his van and took off 15 mins later with the savior parts for a very reasonable price. Of course I gave him 5 stars because he didn't charge me anything extra other than the parts he bought. His magnet is now sticking on my refrigerator door !
Punctual and courteous. Had a plugged toilet. Johnnie came by and had the toilet fixed and everything cleaned and was done in less than 45min Quality work and no mess left behind. Very reasonably priced.
JOHNNY CAME TO MY RESCUE!
The water heater for my 7 unit apartment building is located in my office/ workshop. The bottom had rusted through and flooded half the room. I called Johnny in need of a quick installation. He came over within 45 minutes, gave me an estimate and then waited until I got an estimate from the other plumber, which was higher. Johnny was able to get a new Rheem water heater for me that day and install it. They cleaned up after themselves and even vacuumed up most of the water in the carpeting. Johnny is the best! I finally have a great plumber to call on when necessary. His prices are reasonable, he is reliable, skilled, knowledgeable, honest, a pleasure to work with and fair. Needed a plumber ASAP as our appliance was being installed and a plumbing issue needed fixing before they could continue. Called Johnny and he and his brother came within 1.5 hours. On time also!!! Johnny's the man! He just came by and fixed our warehouses leaking toilet. We had another plumber come out and attempt to fix this toilet about 6 months ago, but with no results. Johnny quickly diagnosed what the issue was and explained the solution to us in detail. He did exactly what he said he would do, and now the toilet is as good as new. Yes, Johnny was great. I had a problem with my kitchen sink. I tried fixing it myself, I spent three hours then gave up. I called Johnny and he came took care of it within 30-45 minutes. The guy really knows his job. I was not home when he arrived so my teenage sons let him in to do the job. When he was done he called me to let me know the issues he had repaired, I GeV him my credit card ,and problem solved. Johnny is very trust worthy and professional. He is a very nice guy, if you have any plumbing issues I recommend you give him a try.
Sadly, Citywide does not serve Montara. I'm not sure why, since it is less than a twenty minute drive from Montara to the Daly City BART, and parts of Citywide's service area are much further than that. Be that as it may, Johnny was polite and apologetic in explaining his business policy.

Johnny's service is the best. I had kitchen sink clogged up and learned about that when I got home around 6pm. Started making calls to plumbing companies. Most of them responded that their technicians had already gone. Johnny was the only one who just asked if 8 pm would be too late for me! Before entering the house he put on shoe covers. Using power snake he fixed the problem quickly. Cleaned after himself. Very friendly and professional service! Affordable price. Would recommend to anybody without hesitating.

It ended being more complicated and we had to replace the insinkerator. Johnny went to purchase one and was finished with the job within an hour. What service!! I found Johnny on yelp and called him based on his raving reviews. We too had terrific experience with him. He replaced the kitchen faucet, installed RO water filter, added a new water line to our upper deck on the first visit. The work was beautiful and professional. We hired him back to install a utility sink in the garage. Again, wonderful work. He also assisted me choosing the right faucets on both occasions. He'll be out go-to plumber, and we recommend his service with no reservation.
I really can not say enough nice things about Johnny. This time he removed and installed a dishwasher, kitchen faucet, and redid the plumbing under the sink. In order to remove the dishwasher he had to remove some of the tile. Although he does not do tiling, he left the area very clean and neat looking. It is so comforting to know I have someone to depend upon. Would not think of using anyone else.
I found City Wide Plumbing on Yelp and decided to contact them because they had good reviews. Still, I was worried I might get coaxed into paying a large fee for a big job because they provide free estimates.
RESULTS:
1. I easily got an appointment for the next day and Johnny came right on time. ( I was told he'd show up within a 1-hour window and he came right on time.
2. Johnny was very cordial and got right to work inspecting what might be the cause of our problem (a thumping noise whenever we put the water on).
3. He explained everything in layman's terms and I didn't feel intimidated at all.
4. He basically said the issue had to do with the water meter and the city would be responsible for fixing it. He volunteered to speak to the city water supplier if they had any questions. Just as promised, he came out to do the inspection without charging any fee.
5. Extra bonus: I have a no-shoe policy in my home. When I opened the door to let Johnny in, he already had booties over his shoes.
I have nothing bad to say about City Wide Plumbing. I am definitely keeping their business card should I need a plumber in the future.

I highly recommend Johnny. He did a MAJOR job for us--repiping the whole house in copper. Johnny was punctual (a few minutes early actually), clean (he wore booties in the house), and gave (by far) the most reasonable estimate for the job. His work was impeccable. I watched him work, and he is very careful--checking and double-checking his layout, all of his soldering, etc. Moreover, he kept to his estimate, and even finished the job a few hours early. Overall, I was very impressed, and I'll definitely be calling Johnny in the future for all my plumbing needs.

I found Citywide plumbing on yelp. Had a bathroom faucet problem in which the hot water kept leaking. After talking to Johnny on the phone about the problem, he told me that the internal replacement part needed for the type of faucet I had is often free if I directly contact the manufacturer. I did so, had the part mailed to me at no cost, and Johnny expertly changed the part for a reasonable price. I was VERY IMPRESSED with the overall service!

I was having issues with washing machine drainage and some leaking. Turned out to be a 2 issue deal, the appliance repair guy fixed the rubber gasket on the front and recommended some drain snaking. My handyman did it and found a plastic plumbing fitting in the drain which he removed, but still had concerns about it. I was not about to take any chances on ruining my beautiful new bamboo floors so I went onto Yelp and found Johnny. He showed up early, put on his booties to protect my floor, told me to run the washer, and went down into the dirt area under the house to look for leaks. everything seemed to be ok, one of the pipes was 1/2 smaller in diameter than the 2 he recommended but that it wasn't a big deal. He also looked at a mysterious drip that came and went from the roof area that I thought might be related to the shower, but he thought it was dampness from the roof and gave me a recommendation for a roofer. He spent a good 1/2 hour doing all this and talking to my BF who was very thorough with his questions, and would not take any payment when he left. Very professional and personable. I would not hesitate to contact him with any future job, and as a new homeowner, am happy to add his card to my list of professionals!
