Bruner and his team at BRS Mechanical is amazing.

I recently had landscaping down on my house and the landscape company insist it was okay to leave my ac on the same level as my new hardscape. They may have forgotten that i'm a real estate agent that have attended over 100 inspections in my line of work and wasnt going to be okay with that.

Not a problem, a quick call to BRS and they were out here the next morning removing my AC Condenser and AC Pad and setting it off the side carefully so the landscape company can finish their work.

Once my landscape project was completed, Bruner was able to get his team out here the next morning right on time to get my ac running again before it got too hot. We reinstalled the AC condener and pad above grade to allow for proper drainage should we ever get rain. They did an amazing job custom routing and soldering copper lines to have our ac running again and the staff was extremely courteous and friendly!

Needless to say, I can see why so many of my past clients and homeowners have enjoyed working with BRS Mechancial.

Just had a great experience with BRS. They were able to work me in in 2 days during this heat wave when other companies were 2+ weeks out. He came on time and let me know there was a problem with my installation (refrigerant leak after a custom heat exchanger was added to the system). The pressure was at 4 psi, instead of 60-80 psi like it should be. He was not familiar with our system, so he advised I call the installer instead. No charge for the service call. How cool is that? Now I hope the installer can troubleshoot my system tomorrow and fix it; now THAT would be COOL. Literally.

Bruno came out at  No Charge and immediately told me what the problem was with heating unit. Other companies charge just to tell you whats the problem --- BRS doesn't its free of cost.
Bruno ordered part and a couple days later installed new part ; quick and at a good price I highly recommend BRS.

Bruner came out on time and fixed my AC in 15 minutes.  A huge relief.  We hope not to need them again soon but if we do, we'll call these guys again!

Luis came in, climbed in the attic, and within minutes had a diagnosis for our malfunctioning furnace... a bad capacitor and an aging ceramic heater element. The capacitor was needed to complete the repair, the ceramic element was optional. We decided to do both. Cost for parts and labor was very reasonable. No pressure sales like other service repair people do. We will use BRS again!

My AC unit stopped working. They're response time was quick. They did a quick job on diagnosing what the problem was and thoroughly explained what was wrong. They had the parts and fixed it the same day. Thank you for your quick, reliable service!

Our air conditioner decided to crash out on us on Thursday afternoon, so I called BRS because they had great reviews. I had someone at my house the following morning checking out the system. I was shocked because it's such a busy area, and the beginning of the heat wave. They were both super friendly, and professional. Bruner explained everything that was going on to me and all the possible outcomes for each repair. We ended up getting a whole new HVAC system and they came out again the following morning to install it. Talk about fast! They gave me a great price and a 10 year warranty as well. They replaced my entire system in hours. They were worthy of more than 5 stars! Thank you for everything!

Received a free diagnostic from  BRS Mechanical; I have to say the tech was very professional and knowledgeable. He answered all the questions I had and described all options available. Very pleasant experience. We will definitely reach out to them whenever needed for AC maintenance.

If I could give zero stars I would. They came out and topped off our a/c with freon(?) and at the time let us know that we actually needed a new system more sooner than later. They were right and the entire process seemed like a smooth transaction with a knowledgeable and friendly company. We were charged $289 which was reasonable and we paid. I recently noticed that they actually charged our card $3000+. That was back in August. That is ample time for them to notice their mistake if it was a mistake and not fraud. I will admit that I should have noticed before then, so stupid on my part. But we had recently gone on a trip not long before I received our statement and figured we spent a lot more than Id thought. We paid our cc bill. But now we have to go through an investigation with Citibank that will take up to 90 days. I guess I was assuming that companies keep way better track of their bookkeeping than I do. Apparently I was wrong. Good thing I keep receipts!

Update, the owner definitely responded and refunded the money, even before I posted this review. they refunded the money as soon as they were contacted by our CC company. So either they had not noticed the mistake and as soon as it was pointed out they rectified it or they knew they were busted and refunded the money. I'm going to assume the best and say it was the former. Thanks for correcting your mistake guys. That's good customer service!

A/C is running on low freon, coil iced up and compressor is on last leg.  Decided to go with Bruner and his company for a new A/C.  They did fantastic job installing the system.

This Company is both a lifesaver and wallet saver, I was having A/C issues during the late July heat. I saw the positive reviews on this company and I decided to give it a go! I called them on Friday and they arrived when they said they would.
Bruner found the issue quickly and ordered the part, come to find out it was the contactor, the coils had worn out. The repair cost was less than $300 the best part is they get you back on line without taking you to the cleaners.
Going forward this will by my HVAC / plumbing company.

Bruner (Luis) is hands down the best AC/Heating/HVAC contractor there is in San Diego. Him and his team are extremely professional, reply to your inquires and questions quickly, and their work is top notch.

After a grueling month of going through HOA approval to install central AC, Bruner was able to get me scheduled within days. He did a walk through first, let me know to expect, & gave me a great timeline. He cleaned up the mess (which was so minimal I didn't even notice until he said something) after everything was said and done, he made sure the equipment worked, and gave me instructions of what to expect next.

WoW! I can see why this company has 5 stars!! I don't always give out 5 as I think a real good company is 4 stars. 5 stars the company must go above and beyond anything you would have expected. These guys did just that! They were so professional, quick and thorough with their diagnosis of my AC that I don't think I could ever use anyone else.

I messaged a few other companies about diagnosing my AC and most would be able to squeeze me in next week, Tuesday was the earliest. Not these guys. Why can't all contractors be like BRS?

They are as honest and upfront as can be, knowledgeable, very fairly priced, sold me and installed just what I need without an attempt to upsell, clean, prompt, and courteous.  

Of the 8 bids I received for a new AC/heat pump install and reducting, they were by far my first choice. I'm very glad I chose them, you should most definitely consider them.

Bruner went above and beyond in my opinion.  Peak season for a/c work, yet he worked with me in a difficult bind to get a job done.  Great communication, response times, and overall professionalism.  I am a property manager for many units and have a lot of experience hiring vendors.  Bruner is a keeper!

Very nervous to have HVAC issues right after I bought a new house. Didnt know who to trust. I called BRS and they came quick, were very honest, and had expertise. If you have issues don't hesitate to call them. They were honest and fair.

My A/C unit stopped working and I called about 5 companies and most everyone was booked out for a couple of weeks. Brunner from BRS Mechanical heard the desperation in my voice and was able to fit me in on short notice.  Upon inspection, he said the issue was with the thermostat and since my thermostat was still under warranty, he recommended I get a replacement and swap it out with the old.  He could have sold me a thermostat or charged me for unnecessary services but he didn't even charge me a service fee for his time.

My air conditioner stopped working. I called BRS Mechanical Heating and Cooling and they was able to set up the appointment on the same day. Great customer service, quick responses, quick diagnostic, quick fix.

Can't say enough positive things about our experience with BRS!  They replaced a previous mini-split system for us that was installed by another company and had nothing but problems.  We had to have them out for a few service calls and Bruner always responds quickly and comes out asap.  Bruner is always able to figure out the problem and fix it!!!he also will show you how to make an easy fix yourself and no charge for the call.  BRS stands by their warranty and is always so professional and friendly.

This is the second time we've gotten help from BRS and I am so grateful! Really quick response time in my Yelp messages, and they were able to get here the next morning. This time it turned out our 40 year old furnace was finally beyond repair, so we had to replace it. They came and looked on a Thursday and by Monday afternoon we had a brand new heater. In today's circumstances, getting quick installations is amazing. Zero complaints, excellent service.

Bruner from the get go was transparent, honest and not trying to sale you on anything. Explains pros and cons and is very thorough on all details of the work. His team installed a brand new 16 seer HVAC system, new vents, thermostat and checked all ducting in my home....all while being safe (booties & masks) the entire time. I am typically a very fickle person when it comes to making big purchases (ask my wife) and doubt everything and everyone. His proposal was transparent and straight to the point of what I said I needed. Definitely my go to person moving forward for plumbing, heating and AC needs. I recommend him and am recommending to all the people I know.

Easy to schedule, showed up on time and checked out my heater. BRS read the error code couldn't find any issues and reset the system free of charge. Everything is working fine now. Will use them again if I have any future issues.

I can't say enough about the great service I received from Bruner today. He fixed my heating problem on the spot. He was candid and honest with my heating/ventilation ducting system. I've known for a while it needed to be replaced. Very reasonable in pricing. He is now my go to person for heating and cooling.

I was told that the condensate and water leakage on my AC as due to low Freon and a possible leak by Castillo Plumbing and HVAC and quoted an exorbitant amount for a leak detection test (LDT).  I wanted a second opinion and posted my requirements on Yelp.  Bruner called me back within 20 minutes and had me describe our symptoms over the phone.  

He was able to assure us that it was probably pointless to do an LDT, because if we had a leak it would cost us half the price of getting the unit replaced, to fix it.  

He walked us through a couple of troubleshooting steps over the phone at no cost and mentioned that it may be as simple as a dirty air-filter.  Once I've run the troubleshooting and replaced the air-filter, I will  absolutely be calling BRS Mechanical for any further troubleshooting, to top up our low Freon, as well as for all our future maintenance needs on the A/C as well as our heater.  Bruner, you've made a customer for life with your absolute professionalism and depth of knowledge and your willingness to help us over the phone instead of quoting us another maintenance call to help diagnose our issue.  

You've restored my faith that 2020 may not be an absolute, complete dumpster-fire after all!

Bruner (and his entire team) were professional yet friendly, knowledgeable, respectful, courteous and socially distant safe.  He and his team relocated 2 HVAC air handlers into my attic and installed new ducting to replace my aging fiberglass ducting.  The air quality has dramatically improved!  He explained all the ins and outs of the job and made me feel very confident that they knew what they were doing.  The work went smoothly and I could not be happier.  They take pride in their work and it shows!  Transparent on pricing and there was no up-selling for unnecessary add-ons.  I will definitely be recommending BRS to my friends!

BRS came out during the heatwave. Our AC unexpectedly broke down. We really needed AC fixed ASAP and my wife called BRS and spoke to Bruner himself. He showed up with his partner and they fixed the system expeditiously and left a clean work area.
