AMZ Electric by far provided the best service I have ever experienced. I had reached out to Massis for a Tesla Wall Charger installed in my house which also required the proper permitting from the city. The quotation he provided me was very reasonable compared to other electricians that I had reached out to. Massis took his time to go through with me step by step on how to fill the required forms and draw the proper diagram for the application to submit to the city. He made the process so simple for me to do myself and he was always quick to respond to my questions. The installation work was done perfectly and the city inspector passed it with flying colors. Its very rare to find an electrician or any contractor that provides such great service these days. I was lucky to find Massis. He is a fair and honest electrician. He was able to assess my house for an EV charger over text but came by as well to confirm he could provide a quality outlet.

He's very busy but he was able to fit me in on a canceled appointment. Massis and his assistant did an amazing job and the kept the work space clean. His price was fair and upfront. Considering the workmanship, the price was more than reasonable.

Finding an electrician to install a Tesla Wall charger seems to yield quotes all over the place, when it comes to installation pricing. It seems so many electricians add in a hidden Tesla tax.

After communicating with a number of electricians on Yelp, Massis from AMZ Electric was the only one who didn't seem to have a Tesla tax upcharge. His price was very reasonable for installing a 60-amp circuit to my main panel, then to a service interruption box, then to the Tesla wall charger (which I purchased separately directly from Tesla).

What's even above and beyond just installing these things were:
1. He provided me with a diagram of the project for me to include in my submission to my city for permit application (I elected to do the permit process on my own to save some $)
2. He provided me with load calculations also needed for the city permit application
3. He was very responsive throughout the entire process... answering all questions that I had with quick turnaround time
4. He was very punctual for both appointments!

I definitely would recommend AMZ Electric if you're looking to get an EV Charger installed!

Our lights were flickering and it required troubleshooting. After trying many things and replacing the breaker they were still flickering. I called PGE which found a different problem and these guys came back and fixed again. I wasn't charged for the second time and overall great service.

Very happy with Massis and Trevor's work! Can lights really brightened our room! Highly recommend

We wanted an electrician to install can lights in two bedrooms, install a ceiling fan in baby's room, install Christmas outlet under the eves, and for fixing an out-of-code wiring when we bought our house.

Massis was responsive and came out on time to get an initial quote. He also answered a number of questions regarding our panel and EV charging options.

After quote and agreeing on date, they arrived promptly yesterday to start the work. Massis and Trevor were friendly and did a great job getting everything installed as we had requested. They also helped us trace down an improperly labeled breaker circuit.

Overall great experience, and would work with them again for any electrical work.

Massis and Trevor are the best. Massis is very knowledgeable, does everything according to code, knows the permit and standards. He is very very busy but once he confirms, he commits to jobs which he can 100% deliver. I got EV charger, sub-panel, electrical work, etc at my place and both Massis & Trevor did a great job. I was forced to get a permit from the city and Massis carved out time , stayed back and helped me get the approval because everything was built according to code. Massis has become more of a family member now!

I called because a few of my outlets were not working properly. The owner answered and stated that they are fully booked for the next month. However, he took the time to ask me questions and had me try a few things. Based on our 10 minute discussion, he said he knew exactly what the issue was. He then said he would try to squeeze me in if his next appointment went short. Gladly it did and he showed up at my house just a few hours after my call. He did indeed know exactly what the issue was, but it took a while for him to find where the issue was. Once located, he fixed it quickly. He even cleaned up some of the sloppy work (done previously by others) in the other locations he checked first. I can't tell you enough how impressed I was with his level of attention, service, and knowledge of his trade. I will defiantly use AMZ in the future, even if I need to call way in advance!!!!!

Wow! I was blown away by the service quality and professionalism of AMZ Electric. I called in the morning and got someone in the exact same day, since they were in the San Ramon area. Trevor came by and I basically needed two jobs. The first was a Ring Floodlight installation, and the second was to fix my Google Nest Thermostat's C-wire issue.

On the Ring Floodlight, Trevor was amazing at the job. The wires were clean, he did the job super quick, and navigated around any complexities I had in the garage (metal studs, and a weird gap between the ring floodlight placement and the inside of the garage). Funny dude, and had great stories and taught me a bunch about how the wiring would work.

After he's done, he then helped me with troubleshooting my Google Nest Thermostat. Google's given me a nest power connector, and Trevor seemed like he would know exactly how to install it. But he went even further above and beyond and fished out an actual C-wire from my thermostat. It wasn't live, so he then went up the attic and connected the C wires to both my thermostat (made them live at the furnace / splitters), not even needing the Google Nest Power Connector at all! Amazing job, and I will 100% use AMZ Electric again for a bunch of future projects!

We used AMZ again based on the outstanding work that was done at our house previously. This time, Trevor installed two security lights / cameras (hard-wired) and also fixed a broken dimmer switch in our living room. He gave us a few options on how the wiring could be done and we selected his recommended plan. He then left briefly to pick up supplies. He finished the work in about half the time that I expected given the amount of wiring that was needed. We were very impressed with the aesthetics in his work and, most importantly, how the wiring was done in such a professional manner.

Good experience with this company. I had multiple recessed lights installed in two of my bedrooms over the past 3 years. The job was done well, clean, without any damage to the surrounding structures. I had two guys who came out to do the job and they both were polite and new what they were doing. Once they had to cancel on me the last minute, they called and apologized and rescheduled. They came back in 2 days and finished the job. I had no issues with this company and have only good things to say about them.

Professional, reliable, honest, and transparent...this is how I'd describe Massis and Trevor. A dynamic duo who are an absolute pleasure to work with.

I needed to install an EV charger in my home. I spoke with four contractors prior to Massis. Not one of them proposed the simple solution that Massis was able to execute upon and at a quarter the cost of the highest estimate. Massis and Trevor are a dream team on all things electric. I'm so pleased with their work, I've asked them to come back and potentially upgrade my service panel (but waiting on PG&E for their input first).

I had a smaller job of installing a couple 4-foot LED Wrap Around lights in our garage. I called several electricians in our area and estimates varied widely. Some wouldn't even give me an estimate, instead, insisting on charging by the hour and telling me it would be at least 2 hours.

Thankfully, I found AMZ. Massis was quick in returning my call and after I sent in a couple photos, he gave me a fair price and scheduled me for the next morning.

Trevor came out and got the job done quickly in under an hour. Not only was he prompt and courteous, he was also meticulous in measuring and marking where the lights were to go to make sure they were aligned and looked aesthetically nice. His work was clean and didn't leave random extra lengths of wires hanging around. At the end of the job, he made sure to cleanup the workspace and hauled off the boxes and hardware removed from the prior lights.

Top notch team. Thanks and I'll be putting them into my contacts for future (and larger) projects.

Massis came with one of his workers to replace our old 80's light with new glass light. The light fixture was more complicated than initially thought because the attachment was not conventional; Massis had to trim items and drill additional holes. Luckily he had supplies (black trim too) in his truck. He didn't charge any extra for the additional time and labor it took to hang the light. We also had him replace an exterior electrical box and add an additional outlet to outside of house. All the job performed were well done and price reasonable. We will be using his service again.

AMZ Electric is awesome. Massis is great at explaining everything and making sure you understand what is going to happen and how it's going to happen. He wasn't the cheapest option, but I felt really comfortable when talking to Massis. He gave me the impression he knew what he was doing and wasn't going to burn my house down by cutting corners.

He's pretty busy so it took a while to get him out here, but I was in no rush. Him and Trevor did a great job wiring a nema 14-50 adapter in my garage. It was a 40-50ft run and they made it look great.

I highly recommend AMZ for your electric needs. I already scheduled more work for Massis and Trevor to do.

I got an estimate last month to install a door bell system for my house since my house didn't have an existing door bell set up. Massis was busy so he sent out Trevor for a free estimate. He was in and out within 10 minutes and gave me an estimate on the spot. I told him to put me down on the appointment since they were booked 1 month ahead.

So today, Massis and Trevor from AMZ Electric installed my Nest Camera for my house within 2 to 2:30 hours and it was quick! They had to cut some sheet rocks since it wasn't an easy access but they took their time and did it in a timely manner, even in the heat. Big thanks to them, very professional, and punctual.

I definitely recommend them to everyone who wants to install a Nest Hello or Ring camera system for their house.

I would give Massis and Trevor 10 stars if I could. They did several projects for us, including installing canned lighting in our living room, rewiring our family room fan, and rewiring/connecting 3 lights/fans in our upstairs.

Besides the incredibly fast response time with our initial inquiry, they arrived on time, and did a phenomenal, clean job. For our two projects downstairs, they only made one hole (where there was a potential for them to tear up 3 different walls), which made patching a breeze. They went above and beyond to make this happen, taking the harder route but knowing how much we'd appreciate it.

AMZ Electric was our hero of the day if not the month for us. When the service company failed at fixing our oven (after 5 weeks and 3 visits) and declared we needed an electrician instead, I pulled up AMZ on Yelp and based on the reviews I called them.

AMZ was able to have a guy out to our house in 30 minutes, he assessed the situation and within an hour we had a working oven. He even ensured that the wire connections were correctly done (copper with aluminum = fire hazard). Very professional and knowledgeable. We felt that he went the extra mile by doing some safety checks for us. They will be on our calling list next time we have an electrical issue that my husband alone cannot handle.

Thanks AMZ Electric for giving me back my oven just in time for Christmas.

Massis is a not only a great electrician, but also a great person. I recently had him come out and install a NEMA 14-50 outlet so I could rapidly charge my Tesla at home. After the install my Tesla would not charge consistently. Plugging it into the new outlet worked about half the time, while plugging it into the old 110V outlet worked fine every time. I was convinced there was something wrong with the outlet installation for this reason. I called Massis and he came over within an hour to check it out! He took a look and showed me with a volt meter that everything was installed properly and that the outlet could not be at fault.

I was frustrated because I couldn't charge the vehicle properly and could not believe the vehicle/charger could possibly be at fault. My next step was to go to Tesla and have them check the vehicle and replace my charger. At their testing site the vehicle charged properly on their test charger, but they agreed to replace my charger. At this point I go home and try the new charger and it still has the same problem! At this point I'm going mad trying to figure out what's going wrong. I call Tesla's support and complain and force them to send a tech to my house to test the charger and the setup at my house. The Tesla tech that comes to my house in his own Tesla and even his car fails to charge properly with my charger.

At this point since Tesla replaced my charger and the Tesla technician was having the same problem trying to charge at my house I was sure it was the outlet that was not installed properly. Again I called Massis and he graciously came out within a couple of hours to check things out. He spent some time looking over the whole installation and explaining how things were done. He even called his assistant over to help him try to find a flaw in the installation. At the end, they still insisted that the outlet was perfectly fine and installed properly.

At this point I was so disheartened I had basically just given up and just continued using the charger (even though it only worked about 20% of the time you plugged it in. I literally had to unplug it and plug it in again like 5 times before it reliably started charging. Having to do this every time you have to charge the car is so annoying, but I was out of ideas and options and Tesla was not very helpful either.

NOW, fast forward to a few weeks later, I get an automatic software update FOR THE ACTUAL CHARGER! In Tesla's release notes the update was to improve the reliability of the mobile charger. Apparently there was a bug in the actual charger preventing it from charging properly. Turns out since Tesla switched over to a new type of mobile connector they all had this inherent problem of intermittent charging. After this update my mobile charger FINALLY WORKS CONSISTENTLY! This explains why even though Tesla replaced my charger, the car still wouldn't charge properly. This whole time it was the stupid mobile charger that needed an update to fix whatever issue was causing it to fail at charging. I couldn't believe it. There is some kind of software in the charger that needed to be updated.

I am so thankful for Massis. He came on short notice twice to help me and was truly concerned about my situation. He did the best he could and in the end he wasn't even at fault. He is an honest guy with integrity and skill and he truly cares about his customers. Massis is my go-to electrician, now and always. Thanks again!

I had the opportunity to use the services of AMZ Electric recently as they are nearby and the reviews were much better than average. (Btw, rarely do I use the word 'opportunity' when it involves hiring a contractor.)
AMZ Electric is clearly the exception and quite frankly in a class by themselves. The 100+ 5 star reviews are correct, mere accolades do not do Massis justice.
We had electrical issues and like a super hero he swooped in and promptly solved what I thought, based on my do-it-yourself internet research, was gonna take lots of time and cost me a bundle. His services were prompt, quick, and very easy on the wallet.
I almost look forward to our next electrical issue. I now know just who to call.

We just bought a new house and hired Massis and Trevor to make some electrical fixes and upgrades over two days. They installed 10 recessed lights which required running power lines through drilled holes in joists and amazingly they were able to avoid cutting ceiling drywall other than what was needed. Additionally, they installed remote switches and a low voltage transformer for outdoor lighting. They were honest and hard working, and would absolutely recommend them for any electrical work!

We hired Massis to resolve a previous electrician's mess so we could finally close inspection on a project that had dragged on for over a year.

His quote was lower than I expected, but what pleased me the most was his honesty and professionalism. If everyone shared his work ethic, I wouldn't have half the DIY skills I've picked up over the years.

I was able to schedule a same day appointment to fix a cord under the kitchen sink that was chewed through and shorted during to a leak under the sink which I didn't expect but very much appreciated! The job was done well even with an unexpected hiccup due to the location of the cord under the floor of my cabinets and the job was completed and cleaned up within an hour. We had a kitchen electrical outlet that kept sparking, my husband found Trevor and Massis from Yelp reviews. After explaining the problem he was in our area and was able to squeeze us in for a last minute quick job they both came with their masks on were very friendly, professional and knowledgeable. They fixed the problem and were incredibly reasonable. When I emailed on Yelp other companies replied back with a price for what it would cost for the repair without even knowing the problem (scammers). That was not the case with AMZ Electric, they first investigated what the issue was before quoting a price. I appreciated this and felt they were honest. They both had maskes on because of Covid-19 which was great. They got right to work, figured out the problem quickly and fixed it at a reasonable price. I don't think Massis needs anymore reviews full of superlatives, but I'll throw another one on the pile. :)

Massis and Trevor (his partner) came to install 4 bathroom GFCI sockets, in fairly complicated places. They were amazing from start-to-finish--super friendly (seriously), extremely professional, and very fairly priced. They're both extremely good at explaining things--they noticed I had an interest in their craft, and gave me a shout whenever they were about to make a decision on part of the project.

Despite being heavily booked, Massis also very kindly took into account a family emergency that occurred on our original booked date, and fit me in quickly right afterwards. I'm extremely thankful for that.

I honestly wish all tradesmen I worked with were like Massis. Highly recommended!

This is the second project Massis did at our house. This was installing recessed lighting. It was a tough one as there was no attic space and it was a slanted ceiling. Massis and Trevor came on time, did a very clean job. Give them a shot, you'll love them.

I now know why AMZ Electric is rated so highly...Massis was very responsive, professional and went above and beyond with the work requested at a very reasonable price. I moved into a home that had some outlets not working and he fixed those and checked all the other outlets to make sure they were all working too. He also added an outlet in my garage since for some reason the garage door controller was tied to a light switch that had to be left on for the the garage door to work.

Overall, highly recommended based on his work, customer service and easy going personality. Truly no hassle. I don't write reviews often obviously but I do write a good review when deserved and Massis is well deserving.

I've used Massis for several electrical projects in my home. I simply cannot recommend him enough. He's a perfectionist! He will not leave until the job is done right.

For example, he installed one ceiling fan and thought that the motor sounded defective. He called the manufacturer and convinced them to send a new motor. Despite being booked out for months, he came back to replaced the motor as soon as it arrived.

If you need an electrical job done right, call Massis but do it now since he's booked out for months!

I called AMZ because I had a bunch of outlets that weren't working. I always try to call somebody local. AMZ was my first call because he was #1 rated in Yelp. Well it turned out to be well deserved.

Massis answered the phone and said text me your address and I will be there as soon as I can. He arrived in 15 minutes. How often does that happen? Unfortunately it took him awhile to find the problem. He even called his associate to come help. I don't blame them for struggling. Finally after almost giving up they found a bad outlet in the garage behind a refrigerator and fixed the problem. He only charged $200 with no upfront service fee.

How can you complain about somebody who is prompt, friendly, and reasonably priced. AMZ is my first call if there is another problem.

Called AMZ Electric in the morning and spoke to Massis. After explaining my situation he told me he could send someone out same day at 5pm to diagnose the problem. He was very up front with me on the phone that he was basically booked for the next couple weeks for any major jobs. If my issue was minor then they'd be able to fix it same day.

Since their business hours are from 9-5 I was actually waiting for a call from them to reschedule, but to my surprise they showed up on time as stated. After about 1.5 hours they were able to identify the problem with my AC electrical line and fix it. Now my AC is back up and running.

They upgraded my electric service panel from the old 100 amp to a 200 amp service and I could not be more pleased with the outcome. In December 2017, Massis installed 2 Tesla wall chargers to replace a NEMA 14-50 when I purchased a second Tesla. He was very helpful choosing the best spot in the garage for the install. He also installed 20 wall switches and an additional outlet, plus a remote for the ceiling fan.

I needed a NEMA plug installed and requested a few quotes on yelp. Some never reply, some reply immediately, commits to a time but didn't respond again as the day approached.

Massis initially said he didn't have availability until January. But in the end accommodated to my schedule and gave a time for me within 3 days.

I've used Mathis(and Trevor) twice so far. I can't begin to explain how amazing these guys are to work with. Super knowledgable and nicest guys you'll ever meet. They were able to pin down my issues in no time flat, each time. First time they pinpointed a flaky breaker, which didn't originally seem that flaky. They were on point. This time had an issue with one of the circuits in our house (older home). I probably went through 12-14 different outlets/switches myself before calling. These guys pinned it down super quick. Thanks Massis and Eric, that was an awesome experience! An excellent outcome, great personalities, quick adaptable folks but also thorough and effective , I had first thought I was just getting a quick survey and bid. Since I had already emailed a detailed plan, Massis arrived, assessed the requirements, then on the spot gave me a competitive bid and when his co-worker arrived was ready to get started.

I was looking to have both an EV charging circuit inside our garage and a pair of outside carriage light boxes installed. The solution included a compete sub panel from the mains to cover heavy power requirements for the EV and AC circuits and the carriage light mounts required drilling through brick. Massis noticed I had an extension cable powering a security camera (which also doubles for holiday lights). He recommended installing a circuit from the new sub-panel to a GFI protected exterior weather shielded outlet for a very reasonable additional cost.The finished installations were immaculate and any access holes neatly cleaned up.

It is heartening to find professionals with such as Massis and his team. I will certainly plan to call on their services for any future electrical work we need.

We needed to hire an electrician to install two security camera light combos alongside our garage door. After looking though the Yelp reviews, we called AMZ Electric to see if they would be able to assist us. Massis contacted me back quickly through the Yelp 'Get a Quote' feature, and the price was amazing. He scheduled a day to come out, and I figured it was to come look to see what needed to be done and then quote the real price. Nope. Installation was to happen that day. It only took him and his sons less than three hours to install the boxes, wire then and place the lights up and test them. Afterwards, they cleaned and swept up any debris from drilling the stucco. And the price quoted was the price paid! We also asked about some other projects in the future and Massis said everything we wanted was doable, including a charging station for my wife's plug-in hybrid car. We will definitely be using AMZ electric for these projects, and I highly recommend their services if you're in need of electrical repair or installation services. Definitely A+++++!

Massis installed an EV charger for me in my garage a few months ago. He also did all the paper work and got the inspection done from the city. The city inspector came once and said he wanted Massis to be personally present during the inspection, Massis came back without any complaint.

Massis and his team are very busy and it may take a couple months to book him, but trust me it's worth the wait! In a couple of days he redid the lighting in our living, family, master rooms, garage and backyard and now our house has a more modern feel. Who knew lighting makes that much of a difference? This is the 2nd time I've used Massis with AMZ Electric.

We had 2 electrical outlets in our backyard that hadn't been working for at least a year (I suspect 2 years but my husband won't admit to 2). Anyway, I let it go because I figured the backyard was my husband's domain and he'd eventually take care of it. Wrong! lol

I finally placed a call to Massis on Mon morning, he said he could come out that afternoon. He did and had the plugs repaired in 20 min.

For over a year, these two outlets didn't work, and Massis had them repaired in 20 min. I was so happy with the service that I started walking around my house trying to figure out what else needed to be done that I could hire someone to come fix! Thanks Massis for another great service!

Massis is awesome! My rental next door was having some electrical issues and half of the house lost power. With young babies and children, they cannot be without electricity for the evening. I called Massis and he picked up right away ( vs some other who wouldn't even pick up the phone) . I explained to him our situation and he listen carefully. He sent one of his staff there right away. After only 10-15 mins, his staff arrived and quickly diagnosed the issue and came up with a solution. He called Massis to pick up a part and Massis showed up with the new part within 30 mins. They quickly put it in and the problem is fixed. He charged me fairly and I cannot appreciate him enough come saving my life. I would be ripped off by other electricians because I was in a desperate situation. We were looking for an electrician to do several things in our house. We added new lights, switches, combined switches, fixed an DIY electrical issue in the bathrooms. Massis and his assistant) was very, very professional with their work. They are clean and quick installers.

Massis and his assistant has great communication skills as they would communicate with me as the owner with clarity and suggest good solutions. Yes, I did add some additional work in the middle of the process, they were good with accommodating my wish as it might have put more time in their schedule.

What won the job? Massis came for an estimate and during the discussions, I mentioned that there was a switch that I was concerned about. He checked it and took on it without charging me for the service just because it was hazardous. This showed me that he puts his prospective customers first. After what he did, I decided to go with him without shopping around.

Massis and Trevor from AMZ did a fantastic job and I highly recommend them. I had three days' worth of projects for them at my house. They did a bunch of various things for me.....put in about a dozen recessed lights; installed 4 ceiling fans; fixed some existing light fixtures; installed and replaced lights in the front and backyards as well as upgraded and added outlet boxes in the back yard. Their work and conduct was extremely professional. They always explained what they were doing and why and involved me with suggestions why they identified better ways for things to be done. The cost was very competitive and I will be hiring them again over the summer. For bigger jobs, you may have to schedule a couple of months out, but it is well worth the wait.
One last note, we didn't like the look of a couple of lights that had been installed in the front yard. We purchased replacement lights and Massis went out of his way to come back and change out the lights for us.

I needed two ceiling fans with light kits installed, each replacing a light fixture. Massis (& his company, AMZ Electric) was recommended by my neighbor. His rates were very competitive so I grabbed his first available spot about 1+1/2 weeks out. Luckily he had an opening a few days ahead of schedule, so I got in earlier. Trevor completed my job. He was great, on time, very friendly, professional and knew what he was doing. The work was done in about an hour and a half, looks good and the fans/lights work great. I recently did recessed LED lighting in the high ceiling and all bedrooms as well as fans. Massis, Trvor and Milad did a terric job. Massis gave a very reasonable quote and gave all the details of the proposed work with nitty gritty detaisl. They were on time and did a very professional job. I had to call them again as one light had a wrong lumen settings. Trveor came and fixed it the next day. These guys are just amazing and very friendly.

I cannot say enough about Massis and Trevor. I had Massis come out to give us a quote for two bathroom fan/light combos. He gave me a fair estimate and said that he would be able to have the job done the following day. Both showed up on time and had the fixtures installed in exactly the time that Massis had estimated. I know after looking in the attic that this was not an easy job, but it sounds like Trevor was able to contort his body to get the work done and also on a hot day!

Massis is an excellent independent licensed electrician. What we value most is his expertise, professionalism and responsiveness.

We hired Massis over other electrical contractors because he provided us with excellent ideas/solutions and reasonable estimate. He came highly recommended by our building contractor when we remodeled our kitchen in 2009. As he is an independent contractor, he fully concentrated on our kitchen project so he could complete his work on schedule; additionally, he frequently informed us of potential issues -- which we greatly appreciated.

Our home was built in 1929 and it badly needed electrical updating. We had a great experience working with Massis on our kitchen remodeling, we decided to update our electrical system on the rest of the house following our kitchen remodel. He basically rewired our entire house and installed many in/outdoor plugs and switches so to simplify our lives. In addition, he creatively converted our poorly functioning solar garden lighting into electrical units. He also added additional jacks and computer wiring in different rooms. It was not unusual to find him working long hours so to accommodate other contractors and/or our timelines.

We asked Massis to return and install deck lighting. A month earlier, he evaluated and recommended certain type of lighting fixtures and discussed on how he would discretely hide the wiring. Other than the lighting fixtures, he had everything he needed in his truck! Once again, Massis did a wonderful job on the deck lighting project. We continue to value his work and will engage him again on future projects.

I, like most of you use yelp to find somebody when I need help with something. And I'm glad I called AMZ electric. I had emailed several different electricians at night with a problem I was having with my dryer and fuse box. My dryer would shut off randomly and then I noticed a strange smell coming from my fuse box. Although a few of the electricians did respond, Massis seemed the most concerned and wanted to come out the following day which he did. He figured out the problem really quickly, replaced something in the fuse box and I haven't had a problem since. I will call AMZ electric again if I ever need anything.

The company is phone-friendly and seems willing to quickly troubleshoot [by phone] if you have explored the problem somewhat, for example bathroom ceiling lights that do not work i.e. do not respond to the light switch. When I isolated the light switch as a possible culprit and had all the wires coming out of the wall laid out --- 3 black , white and bare ground lines each for a total of nine-- the electrician who answered was very generous in sustaining a 3 to 5 min phone conversation that helped my trouble shooting to further isolate issues. That one encounter tells me I would go with them for a complete solution as needed.

If you're looking for an electrician/ handy man... Massis knows what he is doing. He not only knows how to do things the right/safe way, but he's a very pleasant person to work with.

Story: I had originally hired a handy man to install a motion censor light for my condo, but instead, what he did was put an off-balanced hole in the front of my home. The new motion censor he had bought from Home Depot was also broken... it was such a nightmare, coming home from a long day of work to a HOLE and having to pay for it.

Then I met Massis through a referral and he was a total saving grace. He usually has a schedule (and you usually need to make an appointment in advance), but when he heard there was a hole in the front of my home, he shared my concern about the rain and how it will damage the property exponentially. After we talked, he rushed to my place and helped me correctly install the motion censor that I wanted. If I could rate his job, it would be A+++++

If you don't want to waste your time testing other handy men... just got to Massis your first time and he will deliver. He charges $75/hour but for him to get things done QUICKLY and RIGHT, it is freaking priceless. I'm completely happy and satisfied with his work and would recommend him to my family and closest friends.

Massis and his assistant, Trevor, are awesome to work with! They had come out for a consult and made some recommendations to light up my backyard, keeping it dog-friendly (new pup chews on/eats everything!!). I decided to buy the materials on my own and diverted a little from the original plan discussed 0:) Nonetheless, the curveball was no challenge. They professionally and cleanly installed Highpoint deck lighting along my fence running on Dekor wiring, transformer and dimmer/timer controller, in addition to 3 new wall mount fixtures (one on a 3-way timer switch, the other 2 on a separate manual switch as requested). Now I don't have to take the pup out to go potty w/ a flashlight looking like a burglar pacing around in the dark! :) I've got a ton more projects on the list and will definitely be reaching out to AMZ when I'm ready to tackle my next electrical project! I found AMZ on yelp and decided to call him because of the rave reviews. I needed 6 fans installed and Massis was able to do this the next day. Massis and Kevin came to install all six . The Only prob was the fan remote was faulty and Massis came by the assess the prob and placed another one without a complaint.
He also installed our flat screen tv onto the wall & hung our prewired pendant lights.
Very happy with his service & will definitely use him again. 5 stars Massis!

So, I said let me send you something for your fee - he politely declined since he didn't have to come over. wow! This is my first. I will be doing bigger projects with Massis over summer.

The best electrician we've ever used! We moved to Pleasanton a little over a year ago and have used Massis for a number of items in our house (car charger, re-wires, safety checks, lights etc). 2nd review :) first time I used Yelp for home repair/maintenance...

I found Massis on Yelp, and am following the previous 10 reviewers giving 5 stars with yet - you guessed it, another 5 stars.

I needed to draw electricity/hang fan box on ceilings in two rooms to hang fans - he showed up 10 minutes before the appt, was very professional and pleasant - and got the job done pronto. Even had to go across town to get some parts, and did not charge me for the gas/time...
Massis cleaned up everything and was very efficient - and he also looked into another issue for free ..I kept telling him not to worry about it but he insisted on finding the reason how/why a switch was connected to a different room (weird), even though he was pressing to get to another job..He disconnected it to lessen any confusion in the future with babysitters/etc..

I will be calling him back when i need to power up my whole house fan...

Massis came out to my place in Livermore that had a couple of non working outlets. Other places I called didn't respond, but Massis found a short opening in his schedule and told me he would attempt to fix it. Lo and behold, he showed up 30 minutes early and had the problem fixed in 15 minutes. One of the other places I called said they would have to send out a diagnosing technician first, then a couple days later schedule a crew to do a repair. Massis and his partner found it as a loose neutral in minutes and fixed it right away and only charged me his minimum service fee, and I was able to get it done the same day I called due to him being luckily in the area! Would give AMZ six stars if that was possible. Called at 8am; they were at my house at 10am to start work. Came back the next day to finish. Replaced 3 chandeliers with new ones, upgraded 10 outlets to current NEC (GFCI and tamper-resistant), and troubleshot and fixed a problem I caused. All with a professional, courteous, lets-get-to-work attitude. Highly recommended. I'll be using them again in a couple of weeks for another electrical project.

Some of my electrical outlets in my kitchen did not work after the installers of my granite counters had remove the outlets in prep for the new counter. I did not find out I had a problem until after the installers had left and I was reinstalling the outlets. I checked to see if a circuit breaker had tripped and found none did so at that point I YELPed for an electrician and found EXCELLENT write ups for AMZ Electric and Massis the owner. Massis has an accent and so at first I had a little trouble understanding him over the phone, but we set up the appointment and although there was a mix up on the day of the appt we did get together. And I am very happy that I did have Massif and his partner do the work. He quickly diagnosed the problem and both of them worked in sync making the job go smooth and quickly. I got to chat with Massis and found him to be a craftsman at his job, well qualified, and a very good person. His price for work is extremely reasonable. I'd definitely use him again and recommend him to others.

Absolutely a five star experience. Massis and Kevin installed fans, outlets, recessed lighting, Cat6 networking and Ubiquiti wifi access points. They come in exactly at the time they promised. They answered all my questions. When scoping out the work, Massis spent an hour in and out of the attic and told me what was doable, what was maybe and what was impossible. We worked out what was best under these constraints. In the end, everything worked out as expected. Some 'maybe's turned out to be workable and he did it. I am totally satisfied with his work and the fact that he kept me in the loop. Their price is also the best among all the quotes.

Super professional from beginning to end... Before calling Massis we had another electrician come for an estimate to install an outlet in the garage for an electric vehicle. While he was referred to us directly by the car company we felt we needed a second opinion. Massis was very thorough in trying to find the best and cheapest solution for us. He took pictures of everything so he could do a load calculation of the 2 electric sub-panels. He came back during the weekend to investigate the actual load of the appliances in order to be able to install the highest Amperage breaker. When we found out the car was going to be delivered earlier than expected he made time in his very busy schedule to come during the weekend to do the installation. He did a very nice job and cleaned up everything afterwards. We ended up not having to install a new electric panel, got the maximum amperage we wanted, and saved a bunch of money. I don't typically write reviews as I expect all licensed contractors to be professional but Massi goes above and beyond for his customers.

He's THE BEST BEST electrician in the world!! Today, he installed 6 recessed lights, and he did a EXCELLENT work. He recommend LED light, it was the best choice!
He listened carefully my opinion and he suggested his opinion very politely and he was right!
He's very experienced and very professional! YOU CAN TRUST HIM! The price is reasonable.
Today, It was very hard job, but he did it very patiently and kindly! and he cleaned everything once the work was done. Amazing!!

This is a very embarrassing review that I have to write... I called Massis because half of our outlets in the kitchen stopped working. I tried resetting the fuses and pressing the test and reset buttons on the outlets but couldn't get the outlets to work. Massis quoted me an hourly rate and when I asked when he could come out, he told me he could come over in 15 minutes! Amazing! Now for the embarrassing part... Massis walked into my kitchen and pressed the test and reset buttons on the outlets and they turned on! I guess I just didn't press them hard enough :( Massis was very nice and didn't charge us anything for the visit!! I felt so bad because he drove out to our house for something so silly. But at least now I know a great electrician if I ever need any real electrical work done :)

He did a wonderful work. I had to install 12 recessed lights, cable, Internet and re-wire 3 bedrooms. He came and after looking the place told me that 10 lights would be enough making me save some money. He found few problems and the attic was like an oven (103 outside) but he was able to work it out. In order to get everything done as soon as possible he worked on July 4th too. He cleaned everything once to work was done. Other very important thing (at least to me): he always answer the phone when you call him!

Masis and Trevor are fantastic! Masis came over to looked at the house and gave me his suggestion. We had waited for a month for him to came out to install the recessed lights but it was totally worth the wait. He was 20 feet from the ground to install the pendant light and he asked me to take all the time I needed to decide on the height. He was very professional, competitive price, and licensed. This might be odd, because I actually didn't get a chance to work with AMZ, but Massis called me back right away and stated that he wouldn't be able to get to my job as his team was booked. I really appreciated that. It's a rare contractor that gets back to you quickly and says they cannot do it and it frees up my expectations and makes it so my job isn't delayed waiting on someone. Massis is a true professional. He came out to do a quick estimate on installing a NEMA 14-50 for the Tesla Model S I was expecting in 2 weeks, at the time. He gave me a very reasonable quote for a pretty complex job and we scheduled it.

He came on time and got to work. The job was even more complicated than orginally suspected, and I changed my mind and asked him to install a Tesla High Power Wall Charger instead of a plain NEMA 14-50 outlet and he did an outstanding and clean job. Everything worked perfectly when the Tesla came home.

A true professional that I'll look to over and over again.

We called several electricians about installing two ceiling fans in our home (including, installing the boxes in the ceilings) and all the quotes were outrageous. Massis was, by far, the most reasonable. He arrived on time, was friendly and professional and completed the work in a timely manner. the other day i went onto redbeacon to get someone to come out and install an outlet for my new over the range microwave. i was contacted by an electrician who said he'd do the job soon but i needed to get all the parts.

I went into home depot and was talking to a clerk about the parts and he was like, 'whoa, your electrician doesnt have the parts on his own?' (it was a long list btw). and he said that i should contact Massis. That was at 6p yesterday.

5p today Massis shows up thinking he was going to install only an outlet. We ended up have to run wires to the circuit box and get all up in the house, under the house, into the walls. Massis was not expecting this and redbeacon didnt warn me of the complexities of local electrical codes.

notwithstanding this gap in information Massis was completely ready to do the job, he had everything in his truck. that was really amazing. by 930p today, my new microwave was installed and is working up to code and the whole experience felt great.

Massis, explained what he was doing, let me watch and help and learn, and maintained a professional and personable attitude all night. (I bet he didnt eat dinner either. :( )

His rate was very good too! Redbeacon had quoted me a lot more than what I ended up paying Massis and the parts were also a fraction of the cost theyd have cost me at home depot had i got them myself!

I definately highly recommend AMZ Electric!!!

I called several electricians about recess lighting and ceiling fans I needed installed. Massis came over on a weekend to check out the work and provided a quote that was very competitive.

I wanted to purchase the materials becuase I had a 10% off coupon from Home Depot and Massis offered to meet me at Home Depot to make sure I purchased the correct materials.

Massis and I agreed upon a date to do the work and he showed up on time and worked diligently over the course of two days to install 20+ receseed LED lights, 4 ceiling fans and new switches. He was mindful of keeping the work areas clean and even addressed a couple of additional electrical issues free of charge.

Massis will be my go to guy for my electrical work.

Massis is bringing back pride in contractor work. He is extremely knowledgeable, reliable and fair. My wife asked for fountain on a back yard. WOW! Everything you'll read about this guy is true. Massis came out on a Saturday and removed 2 old celing fans, and replaced with 2 new ones. He strengthened the existing electrical boxes to make sure there would be no wobbles (My house is old, so has flimsy construction in parts) - and did everything perfectly - we are ready for summer!!! I am so pleased I found him, as he will be my go-to guy for anything electrical. His prices are fair, and he is a pleasure to work with. I've already recommended him to my neighbor.

Holy Cow - Massis is incredible!!! I've had a problem with one electrical circuit in my house for the past couple of days with a circuit breaker tripping. I'd reset the breaker and it would work for a day or so and then trip again. Finally, I reset the breaker but got no power to the circuit, which makes NO sense to me (breaker set to ON but no power to the outlets). So, this morning I called Massis (because he rates so highly on Yelp) and he answered his phone, got my contact information, and said he'd be over in 15 minutes! He showed up in about 12 minutes, fixed the problem (outlet original to the house that had decayed and was intermittently shorting), and even fixed a 3-way switch that was malfunctioning. He and Trevor were in and out in about 30 minutes with both repairs done and at a very fair price. I've NEVER had any repair person respond to my call, come over to my house, fix the problem, and do it all in less than an hour. Added bonus: we joked about Rowan Atkinson while they did the repairs!

Massis is excellent. I made an appointment for him to install 2 ceiling fans on new switches, as well as replace numerous receptacles around the house.

He showed up on time and was very courteous and professional the entire time. Our house is old and has a ton of quirks but he was able to navigate just fine with no damage to any walls. He even found a receptacle I didn't even know I had in my office hidden behind the drywall.

I am very pleased with his work and will definitely be hiring him again.

I needed an electrician to come out and help me with the correct wiring of two 3-way wall switches. A very small job.

I found AMZ Electric on Yelp and gave Massis a call. Massis very patiently asked me some questions and diagnosed the problem over the phone.

Massis stopped by two days later to sort the problem out and easily fixed my errors while again patiently explaining to me how to do it correctly the next time ;)

Besides being an excellent electrician Massis understands the value of his client's time will let you know if he is running on-time or late for your appointment. Imagine that...someone who will actually call you if they're running early or late !!

We were looking for someone to upgrade the electrical panel in the garage before moving into our new home. We found AMZ Electric here on Yelp and were very impressed with the reviews. We called Massis, owner of AMZ Electric, and he came out the very next day to discuss the project and provide a quote. While we had to wait a few weeks for availability on his calendar - he is in high demand! - he worked with us in getting the required permit, materials, and did an excellent job of installing our new electrical panel. One note: we did need to repair the necessary holes in the drywall ourselves.

I called and left a message this morning about replacing a ceiling fan. Massis called within 30 minutes to give me a reasonable quote and said he could be at my house between 2 to 2:30. He arrived at 1:44 and an hour later I had a beautiful new ceiling fan cooling our bedroom. Couldn't be more satisfied with the experience. Massis was very professional, congenial and even helped me hang a large, heavy framed mirror in my livingroom without charge. Highly recommended. I can't even begin at how awesome Massis is. The only problem is how busy this guys is! He came out and worked on a Saturday so we could get the painters in. He took the time on the phone to help me decide on recessed lighting (who knew there were so many options!), and when he arrived to get the job done (on a saturday non the less), he helped us plan out how to arrange the lighting and made sure to take the time to make sure everything was lined up correctly. It's been 9 months and everything still works and looks great!

Massis is so great to work with! His prices are very reasonable and he stands by his work 100%. We had a problematic doorbell that just kept shorting out. I went by prior yelp reviews and called Massis as one section of my house had lost power, and resetting the breaker did not restore it. I called him first thing in the AM and he showed up later that morning in the 30 min timeframe he told me on the phone. Immediately went to work and found the offending receptacle and addressed the issue. Before leaving he also found and corrected a polarity issue on another receptacle.
Massis was pleasant and efficient, and the amount charged was within my expectations of reasonable.

I really like this guy. Massis responded to our call for a quote to install 4 wall sconces. He was here in 45 minutes, quoted a reasonable price and installed them on the spot. He had to cap the old wiring and move the location of all 4 to accommodate the different design of the new lights. He had everything he needed for the job, did a great job, cleaned up and was done in under 2 hours. Great guy to do business with.

I found Massis through yelp because of his great reviews. We were so happy with all the work he did for us. We had several things we needed done and discovered quite a few other things while he was here due to some shabby work done by someone else years before. Massis fixed it all at a reasonable rate and spent the good part of a 90 degree day in my attic. He's a hard worker with a strong work ethic. I had Massis install some landscape lightning and wall lights for our entire condo complex. He was always very responsive to my emails, texts, and calls. I was in need of an electrician to replace a light fixture as soon as possible since we are in the process of selling our home and need to have everything in tip top shape. Thanks to the highly favorable reviews I read on Yelp about AMZ Electric, I contacted the company and reached Massis, the owner. It so happens that he was between jobs and had time to come to my home right away to assess the problem. He gave me a short term fix of the problem which turned out not to be a permanent solution. Therefore, after I re-contacted him to report the reappearance of the malfunction, he set a time to come back within 3 days with an entirely new light fixture. True to his word, he showed up on time and replaced the fixture in a timely and professional manner. Since he charged me his normal service call fee the first time he came to the house, he only charged me for the fixture the second time and with NO additional charge for labor. I highly recommend AMZ for all of your electrical needs.

We called AMZ at 8:30 pm after a home improvement project went a little aray. He answered immediately. Hubby installed recessed lighting in the living room but when he went to install the new switch the previous homeowners made a mess of the electrical so it was impossible to figure out where to tie into. I needed a security light installed. I got a few quotes and he was the most reasonable. Massis was punctual. With ease, he installed the security light outside my home but noticed that the previous owners had made some electrical mistakes with the porch lights and other connections in our garage. He showed me where the problems were and went ahead and rewired everything that was done incorrectly so it would be up to code. He was very professional and reasonable.
