Kenny was excellent!
We had a problem with the main line, the whole house was out of service. We called them in the morning and by noon it was all solved.

The technician was very knowledgeable and explained to us the problem and what cause it, so now we know how to avoid it in the future.

We are definitely going  to continue using their services and I would recommend them to anyone.

This is a great choice for clogged drains! They are punctual, affordable and efficient. You don't have to wait long for an appointment and they follow the rules of your house. They are a great resource for your tenants if you're a landlord.

I'm so impressed and thrilled with Affordable Drain and Pipeline Services. I had a clogged line in my building, and the tech couldn't get into the suite he needed to. He was so nice.  He told me it was no problem, and he'd come back the next day. By the next day, I had multiple sinks beginning to overflow. I called, and within an hour they were back. They cleared the lines and my tenants all said how nice the tech was. He even cleaned out the sinks. Thanks for providing great service!

Technician James Teak did a FANTASTIC job clearing and cleaning my main line stoppage.  The company was recommended to me by one of its competitors, and I'm so glad they did!  A receptionist answered the phone on the third ring and James arrived within the hour!  

James was warm and friendly; immediately putting me at ease.  He was knowledgeable, thorough, and efficient.  

Like its competitor stated - the cost was Affordable and the service was great!

Nice company. I used to use Pacific Drain but I heard they're not as good since they were sold. Found this company on Yelp - lots of high ratings. They arranged a same day visit with me (12 noon - 2 pm window - they came right at noon).  We had one shower clog and one slow draining sink. The shower was $125 and then they threw in the sink for free since they could fix it quickly with a zip-it instead of snaking it. Kevin and Dylan were respectful and did what we needed. Will use this company again!

Affordable's Kyle Desmond did a fantastic job clearing a very challenging backup -even after standard solutions failed to deliver. He calmly went the extra mile and got it done by investigating all the options -including removing garage ceiling panels in a multi-story, 10-unit building to track down the pipes linked to our unit, which were not obvious. Great
Ryan and Dylan from Affordable Drain came out and did a fantastic job in diagnosis and fixing our recurring clogged drains. It was a mainline obstruction. They had to remove the toilet for proper access. Previously,
band aid solutions worked for a time but would recur some place else. I feel they put in the extra effort to fix the problem. This is a reliable company that has a professional approach and am very pleased with them from the initial call to resolution.

The best!! Affordable Drain was recommended to me by a friend who had used them and was very happy with their service, and I can only join the choir! Fantastic service and affordable. We needed a hydrojet to clean our sewage line from blocking roots. These guys came, sent in the camera and the hydrojet and voila, two roots gone in the blink of a second. The service technician, Ryan Guthrie, talked us through every step he was doing and explained everything. He was awesome! And the price was half of that of one of the large, well known companies (that also starts with an A) that we had over to check it out earlier. I highly recommend Affordable Drain and Pipeline Services. And if you can request Ryan Guthrie as your technician - even better!

The schedule is too late so we had to call other plumbers to fix the issue. We called them to cancel the appointment after the work done. But later was told the technician still came while we were not home and we own $60 just for call service. This is ridiculous. Will never bother the call them again.

It's never a good thing when a shower drain begins draining slowly, and then even slower over time. Pulling drain cover and looking into drain there is a hair/debris screen which I regularly clean. So, the problem exists further down drain around a bend and out of sight. Sure, Home Depot and other stores offer rentals of drain snaking equipment. That's beyond my comfort zone. I prefer to call in the experts.

I performed a Yelp search of highest rated drain service companies. I was impressed with Yelp Elite legend Marcus F.'s review of Affordable Drain Services (ADS). At 10:30am this morning I phoned ADS with no expectation of when I might receive service.  My call was answered promptly and professionally. ADS representative said he could have technician at my home between 1pm-3pm. That was terrific to me as I wasn't sure I could receive service before the weekend. But wait, it gets even better. At 11:30am I received call from ADS technician Kyle. Kyle said he had completed a job early in my area and could be at my home in 15-20 minutes if that worked for me. Sure, I excitedly replied!

Kyle and assistant arrived as stated. I was happy to see both wore masks without being asked. Kyle is a quick observer and asked if my home had recently had a remodel. I replied, yes. Kyle explained that during home remodels, tile companies often dump grout sediment into drains. Kyle said he would run snake into shower drain until it reached main line. Kyle and assistant worked efficiently and made sure space was cleaned following procedure. Was able to book a same day appointment. Kevin was great. Very friendly. Kept the area tidy, and cleaned up after well. Live in a condo. He even went to talk to the other 3 attached neighbors, clearing one of their drains(their bathroom backs up to this unit bathroom & it was a common line problem). Wrote a very detailed report. All this in 90 minutes. If I have to use them again I'll be asking for him. Great customer service by their call center too! They definitely are affordable. I was referred by a plumber I know who doesn't snake drains. Was super glad to get this company as using a plumber can be extremely expensive these days. : To edit this was from a couple days ago.

I still get impressed these days, and I'm impressed with the service today. Technician Waylon B. remedied a blocked kitchen drain where the blockage was determined, after the fact, to be up to 70ft away, thus well under the house towards the street. Leave it up to a professional. BTW I was referred to them by another plumbing service.  Says a lot when a business owner will refer another business

Kevin and Dylan were wonderful!  We've had issues with a toilet that continues to back up.  We needed it scoped with a camera to determine the cause and rectify the problem.  They were prompt, kind, caring and very knowledgeable.  They video taped it and thoroughly explained it to us so we can explain it to the people who need to repair the issue  We highly recommend this company

I have a complex and flawed  gray water system which was completely clogged after ten years and an outflow which couldn't be removed after decades . Desmond and Diego could have easily told me it was unfixable and charged me a service/trip charge. But they really persevered for a long time until the two unclogged and fixed my tub drain and gray water hosing.  They accomplished the impossible and explained to me how to re-do it to avoid problems in the future.

I am super grateful for the awesome job these guys did. They are an excellent team- knowledgeable, perseverent  and professional!

Had an awesome experience today with Desmond. He not only helped fix the problem and give us understanding why it's happening, but gave us good advice for how to deal with a plethora of issues going forward.

Affordable Drain Service was recommended by my plumber for work he couldn't do. A technician was scheduled between 2pm-4pm the same day I called for service, and I was politely asked if a cancellation came up would I be available earlier. Yes! Charges were explained up front.
Waylon was every bit the professional. Introduced himself, was polite, and took care to be as clean as possible. Solved my issue in a matter of minutes, made an observation of a potential problem outside of Affordable Drains' scope of services, showing me I had a very slow tank fill flow. I very much appreciated him letting me know, even though there was no upsell for Affordable Drain. I will definitely keep this company as my go-to for drain issues!

I called Affordable Drain Services due to clogged shower drain. The team was professional and responsive, and were able to quickly get me into their schedules. They provided a 2-hour wait time, and the crew that came to my house were on time and provided excellent communication while they were on the way.

Nothing like the one toilet in your home backing up late on a Friday afternoon. After being turned away by a couple of the well advertised names in local plumbing we found Affordable Drain. Efficient and effective service, performed by Ryan Guthrie. He was prompt and explained what he was doing. He fixed the problem and we were really pleased overall.

Incredibly disappointed with the service we received from Affordable Drains. As a professional property manager, I have used a variety of different plumbers and drain clearing services around the county over the years. Some companies perform well and clearly care about their customers while others take as many jobs as possible and sacrifice quality for speed. Affordable Drains fall into the second category. We ran into a clog at our property (new construction) on Saturday. We called Affordable Drains and were told we would have to pay extra for weekend service. They sent their technician who snaked the pipe and cleared some toilet paper. The tech was immediately ready to leave, but we told him that there must be something more causing the backup as it's a brand new build and the toilets have only been used a handful of times. Our General Contractor on the project agreed that it couldn't be soft items causing the clog, which we attempted to explain to the tech. The tech ensured us that it was clear and rushed off to his next job. The next day (Sunday), the issue was back as the pipe was not properly cleared (as we had attempted to tell the tech). On Sunday, Affordable Drains is closed, so we couldn't call them back out to finish the job they had started (and failed to complete). Instead, we had to again pay weekend rates for a different company and go through the exact same process. The 2nd company quickly found a piece of plastic in the pipe and cleared the issue. When we called Affordable Drains to explain the issue and ask for a credit or refund as their tech did essentially nothing, we were met with a rude and short response and told to send the 2nd company's invoice over for review. We did so quickly & upon review, were flatly refused any type of compensation by the office manager, Sheree, though she agreed that the other company did the EXACT same service (although they were able to properly clear the drain, unlike Affordable Drains). She also insisted that they used a camera to scope the pipe. As the tech was supervised at every step of the process, I can assure that a camera was not used. The plumber was in a rush to leave and did the absolute bare minimum. As someone who works in customer service myself, I was appalled by the utter lack of understanding on Sheree's part. These businesses think they have so much business out there that they can provide service like this....it's not a way to do business, especially with how disrespectful they were when I brought the issue to their attention.  I rarely ever write reviews, let alone bad reviews, but I was shocked by how I was treated.  I have used Affordable at least 10 times in the past, and was a long time customer. After this experience, I will never use them again.

Unless you feel like being overcharged for a service to be done incorrectly, AVOID this company! I will be telling every property manager and homeowner I know to do the same. From my experience, Affordable Drains is not affordable nor are they able to clear a drain.

We called at 8 am and had a plumber (Greg) out by 10. Great turnaround time.

Greg quickly and efficiently resolved a main line backup and gave us good feedback on how to work with our other plumber to solve the problem long term.

Would use this company again for drain issues.

Our kitchen sink seems prone to backing up. We needed it snaked for the second time in 3 years despite our pretty diligent use of the recommended dish soap and hot water flushes. In any case, the guy who did it last time never called me back. But Affordable answered my call and was over within a few hours. This was late October 2022. I recommended to a friend who had a blockage a week before Thanksgiving and they were booked out a few days. So I got lucky, I guess. Kenny was great!

I had a different plumber at my house to snake a drain, they said my cast iron had collapsed and I would need all new throughout.  Quoted me $5000 dollars.  

I sent them packing and called affordable drain service.

Ryan & Kyle showed up from ADS on time and ready to work.  They were methodical in their assessment on the issue.  Ran rooters and cameras simultaneously so they could pinpoint the clog!

Ended up pulling a toilet to get to the issue.

They cleared my lines, reinstalled the toilet, cleaned up well and were very professional.

Don't waste your time with other drain service companies, call Affordable Drain first.

I'd recommend to friends/ family any day.

Let the water flow!   When Courtesy Plumbing advised they don't do clogs, I asked for a referral, and they suggested Affordable.  Called yesterday about slow draining bathroom sinks, and Kyle came out today.  He was kind, professional, knowledgeable, thorough and quick.   The pipes are all clear in the master bathroom,  and he also got rid of a drain stench  in our other bathroom as well.   Highly recommend!

If we could give 100 stars to Ryan G with Affordable Drain Services we would. This company is top notch. Our 8 unit apartment building was in an emergency crisis with a clogged sewer main line. We called the office in the morning and Ryan arrived on time with a positive attitude. While using the camera, he discovered that the line was filled with rocks. It was an extremely difficult job, the rocks were scattered throughout the line. Once he started the process, Ryan never gave up. He knew how crucial it was to get the flow going for our tenants. Much to our amazement, all of the rocks were removed and the line is clear. Thank you so much Ryan!! You are the best in the business. A++++

We have had ongoing main line issues with plumbing backing up due to old cast iron pipes.

We've had multiple companies out to jet our lines, run a camera, etc.

Today we had another occurrence and was referred to Affordable Drain Service. They got me on the schedule same day and arrived early in the quoted window.

Ryan was excellent. Super thorough, camera'd the line, jetted it, explained the easiest (and least expensive!) way to solve our old pipes issue, showed me where our clean out is buried in our yard, really he did the job on one visit that I basically had 3 other companies out to take a look at.

I really appreciate the help and the professionalism!

I had originally messaged a few different plumbing companies back last November when my shower drain was smelling...not great. Most of the other companies either blew me off or basically told me they'd have to rip my bathroom apart to find the issue. Daniel from Affordable Drain Service took the time to write a detailed reply of what the possible issues could be and was not pushy about coming out to tear up my bathroom. I had made a mental note to myself about that and I finally called them up again recently because the same downstairs bathroom had a slow toilet that clogged if you looked at it funny and a slow sink on top of the funky smelling shower.

Ryan came by exactly at the beginning of the time frame that he said he would be here, wearing a mask, and he immediately fixed my sink (for free; it was a gunky sink stopper...shame on me), diagnosed the issue with my toilet, and put a camera down the drain so that he could see if there was an issue with the sewer line. Luckily there wasn't anything wrong with the drain or the sewer line, but he was nice enough to explain a couple of things that could be causing the shower drain to smell, none of which were huge issues. Everything was fixed super quickly and I'm happy that my bathroom didn't have to get torn up! Would definitely recommend these folks for your drain needs :)

Fantastic service! I called Desmond on a Friday evening and he drove from east county from another job to north county within 2 hours. He was professional, helpful, and went above and beyond! It's always a bummer and stressful when you're having sewage and drainage issues, but thankfully Desmond's helpful and professional demeanor made it easy. Plus a fair price is key!

You never need these guys until you really need these guys!  It's always an emergency when something like a pipe bursts or a drain is clogged.  I received a recommendation by word of mouth to contact Affordable Drain Services and am very pleased I took that advise.  So pleased with the whole service call.  I called them this morning just after 10 am and was scheduled a same day service call.  Joshua K. showed up and took care of our drain problems.  I thought it was going to be one single drain actually turned out to be two.  Was quite impressed with the amount of experience that Joshua displayed making quick work of these clogs.  I hope that I don't need their services again, but everyone knows that at some point in time, we will!  I would absolutely call on Affordable Drain Service again. Every once in a while I get a clogged up drain in my kitchen and this one was a greasy mess of stew. My garbage disposal couldn't handle the job so I got a referral from my awesome plumber at Pipes Plumbing for Affordable Drain Service, based in SanDiego.
I got same day service in Oceanside from Craig Post, the business owner.
Craig was punctual and wearing a mask ready to go. He asked me if I shared a wall with my neighbors because there plumbing would mirror mine, very through!  Once he got to work unclogging drain with his tools he was almost done with my service call.

I called a couple places to get someone out to clear out a septic tank line & couldn't get anyone to come out in a reasonable time frame. I went to Yelp & read some reviews and found Affordable Drain. I called them late in the afternoon and they gave me an appointment early the next morning. The next day I received a call from Kenny Ellis letting me know that he was on his way. He arrived just before the scheduled time and diagnosed my problem within just a few minutes. He snaked the pipe and just like that the clog was gone! Kenny was cordial and did his job in a professional manner and at a reasonable cost-no add ons. I would definitely recommend and use Affordable Drain again. Thanks Kenny!!

First of all you mentioned that easy flow came to my house today for jetting. IT IS FALSE. Easy flow came to my house the next day after you assume that the main line pipe was restricted. It was on September 4th. I contact them about the report. And they send me a report for was they saw that you did wrong. The cas iron don't have nothing to do with the wrong job that you did. You assumed that the pipe was restricted that why the toilet paper could not flow easily. But when easy flow came and jetting properly my line, everything when good till now. So don't try to justify your poor job by saying something else.
Easy flow proposed me to change the cas iron thatbis at the end of the house and this estimate doesn't have no relation with the main pipe that you said it was restricted.
Don't come lie to people because you tried to protect your business. After reading others review, many people were victims from almost the same incident from you such as ,,
- lack of professionalism
- bad phone communications
- disrespectful over the phone
- rushing to do the job
- etc

Excellent service, professionalism and fast same day response & repair!  You get an actual person on their phone line who was very nice and explained the cost and time.  The service representative was right on time on the same day!  Jose was courteous, compliant to Covid-19 safety protocols, and explained what he was doing and how to prevent the problem in the future.  

I consider Affordable Drain Service and their service by Jose best in class and in value.  

Our clogged kitchen drain was cleared in 10 minutes which is amazing since we had multiple visits from a previous plumbing company selected by our home warranty.  The previous company took multiple visits spanning 10 days and made our cogged kitchen drain worse in the end and wouldn't come back.  

I am so glad and grateful having Affordable Drain Service clear this issue in the end.

I came home from vacation at 11pm  to find my sewer line blocked.  No fun.  I called early the next morning and Ryan was at my house within 2 hours.  He cleared it, showed me what was going on on the sewer camera, told me hydrojettjng would be a good idea. He was honest and didn't pressure me, just gave me his recommendations and told me why.  So now my sewer lines are very clean and I can rest assured this won't happen again anytime soon.  I like the fact that this company just does drains.  They have the right equipment and expertise.  Thank you!!!

I don't normally write reviews for these services (although I should) but when you experience exceptional service these days, you should let others know. We had a very messy drain overflow to septic problem and Kyle saved the day. Even though he wasn't here to service the septic (and the company that did wasn't available for 2 days) he kept at it and made the right connections to clear the drain.

They charged me $100 fee for 5 minutes and the issue is not resolved. They don't send licensed professionals or plumbers. The problem persisted and the individual who came saved an hour of time because I had the issue sorted out prior. You're better off getting a plumber. At this rate of $600 per hour, it's not worth it. I asked the manager for help and she kept turning tables. Not good business.

Had a clogged drain from upstairs that ended up filling our downstairs sink and flooded our bathroom.  I must have called at 4 or 5 plumber/drain services.  Affordable was the only one that answered the phone and the only one that could come out in a few hours, not a few days.   Jose arrived right on time with a smile on his face.  Super nice guy and knew immediately what to do.  The price was fair and service was fast.  I will use this company again, and ask for Jose.

This the second time we have called on Affordable to help with a serious drain problem. The first event was at my Mom's, with a blocked lateral out to the street. It was a difficult job, done very well by Brian. Today we called about a blocked kitchen sink . I tried all the usual homeowner tricks, to no avail. Affordable sent Ken Ellis who did an excellent job, found a leak problem, cleared the sink and was a 100% fine fellow. The Affordable dispatcher was excellent, with timely service and a decent price. I would use these guys for any future drain work. Its tough finding good home repairs and this team is just excellent.

I have used used Affordable Drain on multiple occasions in the past, and this is the second time my service technician was Kenny Ellis. As was the case previously,  he continues to present as highly professional, competent, timely, patient,  and time efficient. On this occasion, I needed two drains cleared (they only charge an extra $60 for the second drain). Just as before, Kenny did an excellent job in explaining the process and answering any questions I had. He is a credit to Affordable Drain Service and a reason I recommend Affordable Drain to everyone I know. I am very comfortable with him and intend to request him for the next service! Also, as I previously stated in the last review, I don't recommend the less expensive services, at least based on my multiple experiences, unless you're not concerned about timeliness and competency, both of which I've found to be sadly lacking with companies offering cheaper rates.

I had a clogged toilet on a Sunday when I had house guests. I called my usual plumber but he didn't have anyone available to come out. I randomly picked Affordable & they had someone available right away. The tech they sent, Kevin, was wonderful. He augered the clog out, made sure everything worked & cleaned up after himself. He gave me some good advice on how to avoid problems in the future.
Btw, Affordable charged less on a Sunday than my regular plumber does on a weekday. I would recommend Affordable Drain service to anyone.

I live in an old house in Clairemont that was built in the 1950s. As such the drains are very small. What a great service!  It was very easy and quick to schedule an appointment.  I had a slow flush situation with my toilet.  Jason P, the service tech came out, and quickly diagnosed the problem, he found a random plastic baggie of rusty bolts in the drain (so random!), he pulled them out viola, that was it the flushing was back to normal.  He also gave me some recommendations for keeping my older toilet in tip top shape with CLR moving forward.  Thank you Jason & Affordable Drain Service!

I was living in a million dollar house that smelled like a latrine even another plumber tried to fix the toilets, claimed it was roots that would require more work, another visit. I called ADS yesterday morning about a shower drain clog we were having in our master bathroom. After calling a few places that wouldn't budge on their availability, ADS fit us in during the same day, really just a few hours later. I was incredibly impressed with their understanding, especially with the pandemic ongoing.

They sent Kyle and he was one of the best we've ever worked with. He called once to give me a general timeframe of when he was coming and then again when he was right around the corner. He diagnosed the problem right away and had it fixed in under an hour. It's only been a day, but the problem is definitely fixed! Without a doubt, I will call ADS and Kyle (specifically) for any other drain issues we will have.

Yes! I recommend this company!

The downstairs shower pan was full of dirty water and the toilet that was next to it was not flushing. Water was also leaking from the base of this toilet. Whenever any toilet is flushed or water goes down any sink, more water came up out of the downstairs shower drain!

I called ADS around 10:45am and Rachel scheduled me for the 1-3pm timeframe. She was very understanding that I wanted to see if another company could come out earlier. I called 3 other companies, but none were available today. Two of the other companies had similar price quotes and one quoted me double! I'm so glad Rachel was still able to schedule me from 1-3pm today and she also requested ASAP!

I'm so glad Martin was able to arrive at 1pm. I appreciated that he called me in advance to let me know he was on his way. He was very nice and pleasant to chat with.

Once we located the correct cleanout plug, Martin had our main line cleared out with his machine pretty quick and he left around 1:45pm. The job took only 45 minutes and all is well again.

It feels good to have a company that I had a good experience with that I can rely on to get the job done. Thank you Martin and Rachel and ADS!  :)

Had a blockage at end of driveway sewer access.   Another plumber recommended - called them Monday morning they were here by 11am same day.  Kenny was awesome.   Took care of the blockage and charged what was quoted.  Super happy and totally recommend.    I never write Yelp reviews but was inspired by the all around great service from initial call to Blockage removal

I had a stoppage somewhere in a branch line of my drain system.  Two sinks towards the end of the line were backing up and wouldn't drain at all.  I originally called my typical plumber (CSR Plumbing) but they told me they couldn't get onsite for at least 7 days and that I should call Affordable Drain Service.

The dispatcher who answered the phone was friendly and preliminary told me simple drain cleaning from a clean-out would be $150-190.  She was clear that wasn't a final quote and things might change depending what the service tech found once onsite.  We scheduled service for 8am the next day and she told me the tech would call in advance to let me know he was on the way.

Come 8am the next day, no call--I started to think up my critical Yelp review right then...  However, looking out my window, I noticed the Affordable Drain Service truck parked in front of my house and James walking up.  So exactly on time even though he didn't call.  I showed James the clean-out and he got to work.  On the first pass with the snake, I could hear he got it all the way down the drain lines 60-70ft, so I felt confident he was getting to the clog as I had already tried with my little snake and only got 20ft. However, he didn't feel satisfied so he asked me to run all the faucets while he watched the water flow.  In actuality, he wound up actually snaking the drain 4 or 5 times with me running water to try ensuring the clog was as clear as he could get it.

Everything seemed good to me, so James wrapped it up and the final bill... only $100 flat.  That kind of surprised me, but probably came from me telling the dispatcher I thought the problem was a main line issue, and James surmised it was actually branch line--which costs less to snake?  Regardless, it was a welcome surprise to be charged less than expected.

Service was great, rates were obviously fair, the technician showed up on time, and got the job done.  What else could you want?

The whole process at Affordable Drain Service was great. From the first call setting the appointment for the time and day I needed.
On the day of my appointment, Kyle my technician, called ahead of arriving to tell me his was my technician and when he would be at my home.  He was on time, quickly assessed what was required and fixed the problems. His work was clean and I saw no trace of his working in my home when he left.
The drains are working great and I truly appreciate the professionalism of Kyle and the companies employees I talked with.

Repeat customer for years. Always the same problem every few years, sewage line and sink backing up. Relied on them to diagnose and help solve the same problems this time, but only the sewage line was worked on, not sink - I wasn't aware of the difference. Saw some drainage problems with the sink here and there, but got around to calling them a month later. The price would have been an extra $60 + $150 invoiced had they fix the same day, but a month later, the price was $150. After escalating the problem up to a manager, the solution was too bad it's your problem, not ours. Customer service is the differentiator with all businesses especially when problems come up. Had they said, we understand the miscommunication, we'll honor the $60 because the problem should have been addressed in the first visit, they would have had a customer for decades to come. But they made the problem ours, gave zero flexibility, took no-fault, and said, we don't ask probing questions to try to diagnose the entire job because we don't want to be seen as upselling. To be experts in their field and not educate a customer on problems they called about sounds like poor problem solvers. Called a higher-rated competitor near us, they are coming out for $95 and have a guarantee and educated us. More affordable and customer focus, companies like Affordable Drain will continue to lose repeat customers when problems arise and they just don't have the long-term thinking to help solve them and turn them into lifetime customers. Don't use these guys, you know how good a vendor is when problems come up and they help you move past it and make it right for everyone.

Absolutely the best service in the business. They were actually refereed to me by two big competitors in the area, as I was in need of a toilet unclogging. The big companies were of NO help. Can't get out there for 24hrs to 2 days. Called Affordable Drain Service. From the first phone call the were kind, understanding, upfront, and most of all honest. I was referred to Affordable Drain Service by another company, when I called about a sudden problem, water overflowing, after showering and flushing in the morning that affected both bathrooms. Our apartment complex's plumbing had some issues late at night and the property manager called in another 24/7 place that basically wasted a few hours and made a lot of noise, then left without telling anyone anything.

After my remodel of my master bath, the shower drain would nt drain hardly at all. My shower tile installer was out of town and could not come over to check it out. However he asked a friend in Phoenix who was a plumber if he could recommend a San Diego plumber to solve this issue and Affordable Drain Service was recommended (by a plumber for a plumber). The company sent out Kyle Sanna who arrived in an hour and looked over the problem. he opened his van with 100's of tools inside and brought in a trusty Milwaukee motorized drain cable tool and went at it. 10 minutes later the drain was clear and has been since that day. I've been looking for a new reliable and affordable plumber for over a year since my previous trust plumber passed away. Kyle is our new trust plumber now! Wow what great service.

I received a quick response to my call for several drain issues in my house.  Kyle was professional, knowledgeable, and fair.  Eventually, the slow drainage from multiple sources lead to an examination of our main sewer pipe.  Using a camera system they found an offset at the main sewer line in our alley.  The Affordable Drain staff reached out to the city sewer department and it looks like the city will fix the sewer pipe offset.  They went above and beyond!!  Many Thanks.

Our daughter's house had all toilets and showers backed up. Ryan W. came to the house and scoped the line. Within a few minutes he identified the problem, explained what it was and discussed how he would correct it. He jetted the piping and cleared the drain line within a few minutes. He then viewed the line going out to the street. It was full of roots which he cleared with a high pressure nozzle. Ryan was very efficient and kept us informed during the entire process. I would definitely recommend Affordable Drain Service for any sewer line problems.

My son flushed a toy down the toilet and clogged the main sewer line.  I called Affordable Drain Service on the weekend and scheduled an appointment  for Monday morning.  The other side of our house was still working so there was no need for an emergency call.  Ryan and Kenny called me Monday morning before the appointment and said they could come earlier if it worked for me.  I was pleased they did since this was convenient for me.  They were nice, professional, and got to work immediately.  They ran a camera down the line and showed me a picture of the toy confirming the culprit.  They quickly cleared the drain and were on their way.  They even marked the ground for me if I chose to install a clean out.  This was helpful since I'm planning on doing this.  If I ever need a drain popped again I'll be sure to call them.  Solid work and good price.  Thanks guys!

We had an issue with roots encroaching into our sewer drain. Jason and crew came out and quickly assessed the problem locations.  He used a hydrojet to remove the roots and then inspected the pipe again after to show roots no longer present. Same day response, called in the morning and they were out that afternoon.  Great job and cleaned up when finished.

I have used Affordable Drain a few times over the last 15 years. This is the most professional and honest drain business you will encounter. (There are a few out there that will do some bait and switch.) On my most recent service call, I had a huge mess in a guest bathroom that was the result of tree roots getting into the pipes. They used a camera, figured it out super quickly, and took care of the problem. The price was reasonable. And now with the Covid-19, they are being super careful. They are wearing masks, social distancing. They are taking employee temperatures daily. If you are going to have a drain service come to your home, this is the one you want.

I thought I finally found my plumber.  I liked Jason, he cleared my drain.  $170 was a bit much, but it was done...so I thought.  3 DAYS later, it backed up so I called again.  This time I got a new guy!  This is the plumber you would expect to be a one and done.  Unclogged it and wanted to charge me $170 AGAIN!!!!  Are you freaking kidding me, you don't have a 3 day warranty???  RUN... They are lifesavers. We have a policy with American Homeshield. Which is like pouring your money down the drain. They have been out to the house 4 times and have never once authorized a camera to see why the problem keeps recurring.

Today, there was another stoppage. We were unable to shower or use the toilets. We have 5 people living here and a child with special needs. It was quite stressful that sewage was bubbling up through the drains when she tried to take a shower.

We called American Homeshield for a recall. They said they couldn't come out until the next day as they didn't feel this was an urgent enough situation. They also said they would treat it as a new call and we would have to pay the $75 service fee.

My spouse called Affordable Drain Service after we were referred by 3 people. They showed up within an hour of the call. They sent a camera into the drain, quickly diagnosed the problem and explained what happened and how to avoid it in the future. The price was indeed affordable.

I wish I wouldn't have wasted my time and money - and stress! - with American Homeshield. We will now be loyal customers of Affordable Drain Service.

They were also quite nice and had a great sense of humor. We are very appreciative of the service we received.

I have had good service for this company in the past. Today the service tech overcharged me. Said he would clean out a sink if it was simple for free but now is saying he did considering that my free service and charging me $5 more then agreed too. Billing rep was rude and at the end fought over $5 with me.  If you get a quote, make sure to get an email with all charges and discounts laid out. Free 2nd drain service valued at $38 but max discount is $20 is what their senior discount says. Does that make sense???

Update:  to clarify, I called for a main sewer line cleaning which I do every two years. I was quoted $150 minus $30 for the senior discount for $120 total. Because of today's world, I opted for that service first because 1. Covid19 concerns with elderly parents in the house 2. Your tech does not wear booties (which they make with grips on the bottom).  My house is shoes free. Since the main sewer clean out did not work then I was very hesitant but asked for the shower drain cleaning.  I asked if he could clean the two sink drains too since he was in there. He said there's a charge of x amount, but he can do it for free if it's easy. I said thanks but only if it's easy because they are not a priority. Your tech was very nice and did a good job. But didn't charge me correctly. D. from the company quotes $38 for the additional drain in the response to my review but the tech charged me $50 (this is before I asked about the other two sinks). So please be aware of the actual service I called about before responding. And if you call hanging up on me professional...that shows me what you think is professional.  Actual dispute is actually $17 or is it $38?  Who knows as I am getting conflicting info. Again .. my advice to get everything in writing including the quote for additional service first.

This is the second time that I have used Affordable Drain to clear my sewer lines over the past 5 years.  Jason called ahead and arrived when he said he would.  He has extensive experience so knew exactly what to do.  This gave me a lot of confidence that the job would be done right.  He used the camera while I watched and gave me an overview of the status of my sewer system.  The work was done quickly and thoroughly.

We needed three bathroom sink drains cleared out, and inspection of a sewer line from our house to the street. Ryan was our guy. He was polite, and got the job done quickly and completely. Hubby and I have some health issues and need to be very cautious when it comes to covid. Ryan wore a mask from the time he got out of his truck until he was completely done. During the sewer line check, when he was outside about a foot from our open garage door, I told him he didn't need to wear the mask. He thanked me and said he would keep it on. I have an older home and clogs with the aging pipes are not too uncommon. Recently I had a bad one that fell two, TWO plumbing companies. I called a plumber in Oceanside who came out and worked on it for a couple hours with no success.  I called a second company that has outstanding ratings on Yelp and has helped me out in the past, so I thought I would give them a shot again. This time, that company came out and quickly said, nope, you need Affordable Drain Services for this one. This was the mother of all clogs, evidently. A quick call to Affordable and I was set up for a plumber to come out between 6pm and 9pm THAT NIGHT. Sure enough, I get a call at 6:45 notifying me that he would be at the house in 30 minutes. Almost to the minute, the plumber was there. He got right to work, and was wrestling with the pipes for about an hour, but was ultimately successful. OUTSTANDING! Guests arriving the next day and I did NOT want to deal with a lack of a guest bathroom.
These guys tick all the boxes of how a company should be run: 1) They're accommodating 2) They provide excellent service 3) They say what they do and do what they say 4) They're priced competitively. The owners obviously take a lot of pride in their company and it shows. Well done Affordable, well done!

Very disappointing. Our experience was similar to some of the other reviews I read. We were overcharged-$325 for a clogged drain problem they didn't resolve! When I called back saying the problem was not fixed they wanted another $190. I was told they don't guarantee their work and that my drain needed replacement. Another company came and solved the problem at a much lower cost. The technician was rude. Definitely not a company would trust.

It's been a couple years probably since I've taken the time to write a review on Yelp.  Not because I haven't done very well with places I've found but because I'm lazy.  There's no other way to put it.  So for me to take the time to write a review the place has to be unbelievable, and Ryan and Affordable Drain Services are just that.  

I had an appointment with plumbing company X  this afternoon, and while they couldn't complete the job due to a broken piece of hardware, they were good enough to refer us to Affordable.  Now if you've ever tried to find a plumber at 3 on a Friday for an emergency you know that in all likelihood you will be calling more than one place and paying a small fortune.  When I made the call to Affordable at 3, Ryan was at my place by 4, and done by 5 for half the cost of plumber X!  

I will never look for a drain service again because they did such a good job they will get all of my business moving forward!!

Last night at 10:30 my dishwasher and sink water backed up  into my shower which is nasty even though dishes were rinsed.  Affordable Drain was contacted at 9:30 this morning and Jason Podgurski showed up earlier than scheduled and saved the day!  Hopefully I won't need Jason to rescue me again in the near future but will absolutely refer him. Greg came to unclog a few drains for us. I had one sink and one shower that were backed up and another bathtub that possibly was backed up. It took him about 5 minutes to unclog the sink (and most of that time was spent cleaning the crud off the drain plug after he removed it). After popping the drain cover off the shower drain, that unclogging was also quick. I was thinking that the clogs were further down the drains, so I was pleasantly surprised that he was able to address them so quickly. I also got to watch so now I know how to disassemble the drains in the future so I can clean them out myself. I'll definitely use Affordable Drain if the need arises in the future.

Had root growth in the inside base of the toilet and these guys came out immediately. Our technician, Ryan G, was very knowledgable, courteous, and fast. He gave us multiple options and recommendations based on what he observed, all of which were very reasonable. For many homeowners (especially those that have minimal home care skills), there's always that feeling that you are at the mercy of service providers and technicians in terms of amount of work and cost. We had the opposite feeling with Ryan G in that it just felt like he wanted to help. I would highly recommend!

Where do I start, sigh......

I start with the good, hmmm. Prompt service, cleared soft blockage and cheap.

Now, let me correct, started cheap, but ended costing me much more along with misery. Placed incorrect wax ring for this toilet which resulted in a flood of the toilet in two separate bathrooms. The flooding resulted in damage to the first floor.

Following a lengthy discussion with pictures and video, I finally convinced the owner the fault was due to the incorrect ring. This is after two separate plumbing companies verified it to be true.

This review is for the service rendered only. If only the service member took the time to notice this toilet needed an extra thick ring and noted the toilet did not seal well following the completion of the work than issue would have been avoided.

The company did refund $250.00, which went into the landlord's pocket. I never saw a dime. Matter of fact, I lost out at total of $600.00 since I needed to pay for the other plumbers.

Jason at Affordable Drain was amazing. He and Nate came right when promised and did a fantastic job of both analyzing our drainage situation by camera-ing lines and analyzing water flow.
They detected several drainage pipe breaks as well as root intrusion which they then jetted to restore proper drainage.
Finally, Jason drew up a drainage plan and recommended installing additional drains in several areas to ensure we'd never have water intrusion into our house again.
Much more technically experienced than any drain company I've ever worked with. And delightful to work with  as well.

Dishonest service from Dan (supervisor) and Kenny (technician), with any excuse to overcharge.  I reported a partial blockage and when I called back a week later to report the initial issue was not fully resolved (note that the initial invoice says 30 day guarantee) they sent me a second invoice for $100 and are claiming it's a different issue because they use a different clean out.  Maybe it's because the second time you used all 75 feet of cable and let it run for 20 minutes compared to the first time it ran for 2 minutes.  Seriously, doesn't that mean you didn't fix it properly the first time.

I called Affordable Drain Service yesterday due to a clogged outdoor drain. Within one hour Jason arrived to our home. Jason was polite, friendly, efficient and extremely knowledgeable. Our outdoor drainage system is large and complex, in the past we have called other drain companies never resulting in a good experience. Jason is the only technician we've had come to the house who was able to quickly find the problem and help device a plan to repair.  What a great experience!

I can't believe I haven't written a review for Affordable Drain before now!  I LOVE these guys!   They are the least expensive of ANY drain clearing service in San Diego PERIOD!  I used to work for a plumbing shop here in San Diego for a couple years and I was aware of Affordable Drain (and how nice the owner is) and so when I needed a drain cleared, I called them and they do not disappoint.  They're all really knowledgeable, efficient and don't try to sell you on more services.  You can trust them.  I've used them at least 3 times in the past 4 years and have never been disappointed.

Just had Ryan G and his trainee Kenny here to clean two shower drains. Can't say enough about how professional and friendly they were.They called ahead, were prompt, wore masks, and were very pleasant and easy to talk to. One of the drain covers they needed to remove was stuck, and a problem with getting access to the drain. Ryan kept after it, communicating with me all the way as he came up with a 'work around', that solved the problem. My hydro blast visit was great, fast and professional and would've been 5 stars... Afterwards their manager Dan called to make sure the work was done completely. I noticed some roots that were still clinging to the pipe. Dan came by personally and removed the roots - I was not given any additional charge either!! This company stands behind excellent and complete service. I will only be calling them for my next drain cleaning. I had a sewer drain issue today that put my house and rental unit out of commission. I called my regular plumbing company, but they were booked up for the next two days. I was referred to Affordable Drain Service because one of my lines has a liner in it and cannot be roto-rooted with a conventional machine without damaging the liner. I didn't know that and it is definitely info a homeowner should know.

Affordable Drain Service has a high pressure jetting machine that unclogs the sewer line which in my case was roots from a neighbors Ficus tree that invaded through the city's unglued connection to my ABS line. This line was installed about three years ago after the ficus had penetrated one of my cast iron lines. Plus, they use a camera to verify the root cause (no pun intended) of the problem and then verify with the camera the blockage has been cleared.

Nick K. and another technician arrived in the time window given and did an excellent job of resolving my issue. One pays more for the jetting machine use, but in my case it was worth it and a lot faster. They were very professional as well as very helpful. I will definitely use this service in the future as needed.

Just want to say I've been using Affordable Drain for over 20 years in both my commercial management business and my home.  The company is great,  the service techs are all good and owner Craig really manages his company well.  Most recently I had a newer employee, Kyle, come to my home to do a complete clearing of all toilets, sinks and drains.  Kyle took his time, cleared and cleaned everything and showed me a few things to help keep the drains cleared between service.  I would definitely ask for Kyle the next time I need service.

This company has some sort of deal with the property management company I rent from. Last week they came and unclogged two drains and one of them they claimed was our fault for putting some orange peels in the garbage disposal. The other was a bathroom drain the property management was responsible for. In this case the property management and I would be splitting the bill. Instead this company decided to put on the bill that they did the bathroom sink for free, making only me responsible for the bill. It was a jerk move! Now I have to pay $95 call out fee and $20 parts fee. In my mind that is dishonest for them to give the  property management buddy an out to make the renter pay the entire bill. Have some integrity!

I have used them quite a bit for my older homes which have cast iron sewage pipes.  Their workers are knowledgeable, friendly and ready to solve the problem.  Their prices are extremely reasonable.  I recently had a main drain stoppage caused by roots.  They scoped and gently jetted the line until the roots disappeared.  All from a 1.5 roof vent (ugh...no clean outs).  Past companies turn the job down or charged way extra to pull their ladders out.  Not these guys.  They also didn't mind if I looking at the camera output as they inspected the line.  When it comes to clogged drains this are my go to company.

I had a clogged toilet and sink and called late that evening and they were able to schedule an appt for the next mornIng. They said a tech would be here between 0900 - 1100 and he would call bEfore arriving. Kevin called at 0830 and said he would be there in 30 min which he was. Kevin was friendly and professional and took care of the problem quickly. I would definitely call this  company again and would request Kevin. I don't know about cost comparison as this is the first time I've needed a plumber in quite a long time but the cost seemed fair to me.

These guys was great! I think it was Jose and his trainee came on 12/29/2021  to help us unclog our kitchen sink. Our townhouse complex plumber recommend Adorable Drain as the only one that could unclog the drain in our townhouse complex. We were promised between 2 to 4 pm, they called and arrived a little before 4 pm. They have to use three different drain cleaners to finally clean out the clog. They also clean up after work is done and only charged us for an hour for more than 90 minutes work. Both were very courteous and refused tips! I would highly recommend them.

Kyle Sanna of Affordable Drains came to our house this morning (1-13-21). Our bathroom shower and sink started running slowly.  I called this company on a Tuesday and they promised a workman the next day at 8a.m.  Kyle Sanna was that workman.  He called about 7:50 to say he was running late and arrived at 8:15.  He did a great job. Great attitude. He was efficient and cleaned up before he left.  Both drains are running well.  He let each run for about 10' to make sure there were no problems.  I highly recommend Kyle and his company.

Woke up to find our sewer mainline was backed up causing small amount of water to come up shower drain and toilet water not draining. Called Affordable Drain first thing in the morning to see about getting an appointment. I was very happy to find they could send someone out that morning in less than 2 hours.
My appointment window was between 10am and 12pm and Jose the technician arrived at 10am. By this time the water had receded so I explained what we experienced earlier. I pointed out the closest line cleanout which was in the garage but he explained it might make a mess and it would be better to find another cleanout. Found another cleanout further away in the side of the house and he proceeded to cable clean the stoppage. Jose was prompt, respectful, efficient, and cleaned up the work area.

Craig and his assistant showed up for a last minute request to video the main line in a property in escrow. Service was fast and very informative. All questions were answered and service was very professional. They do NOT do repairs, so the inspection is a non bias opinion rather than somebody trying to sell you on new pipes. He was quite conscientious and our situation was very challenging since we live at the end of a canyon and our sewer line is about 400 feet from our house. From start to finish ADS was amazing! After having spoken with another Plumber and the City, I called ADS as I still needed help determining the issue and solving it. We had back-up in our main line as evidenced at the clean outs and areas inside the home. The gentleman on the phone scheduling the service was patient with me, answered questions, listened to my issue and assured me they could handle it. (I was nervous to pay again and not get results...) James White showed up a few hours later and was such a gentleman, professional and just kind. I was given this companys name as a referral from two people so I didnt check to see if affordable or not.  If what I needed had been accomplished then i would call them affordable.  However that was not the case.  They came out with only one way of trying to clear out my backyard landscaping drains which were clogged.  Using a water jet system could not clean out or flush drains of roots.  When i called and made the appointment I told lady on the phone it was probably roots, so they should have come prepared with another alternative method.   So bottom line my drains are still plugged and I had to pay $475 for them being here only 1 hour and 15min and accomplishing nothing.  Technician said it is always a 50/50 chance of not clearing, so maybe I should have only been charged 50% for nothing being cleared.  Just saying.  Disappointed.

Ryan G. to the rescue!!  I had cooked for 2 days.  Of course that means messes to clean up.  I got to the last of my dirty dishes on Thanksgiving night and the sink starts backing up.  It's 9:30 at night and I'm in a panic.  I call Affordable Drain and Ryan was at my house in 20 minutes and the clog was snaked in minutes.  Whew, disaster averted.  Thank you Ryan!!!

It's all in the name. Affordable! What it doesn't say is how professional and nice they are. Ryan Guthrie has been to the building I manage 2 different times and on both occasions far exceeded my expectations! He not only did the job perfectly but he was friendly and informative.  You won't go wrong calling them.

Had an unexpected bathtub full of water I couldn't get rid of so I called on a Saturday around noon. I had a very considerate and efficient guy show up (I am so horrible with names, sorry) within an hour and he had the problem fixed in a  about 40 minutes. 5 stars for him, 3 stars for the $285 it cost me for under an hours worth of work.

Took off of work early to get home chores done.  Got home and couldn't do the dishes or clean the bathroom because the drains were totally clogged.  Tried to snake it out myself.  No good.  I was very frustrated.

I was dreading calling the plumber.  Called three places.  Affordable was the only one who could make it same day (because I cannot afford to keep taking days off).   I figured it would be an all-day or multi-day problem with them upselling me on everything.  None of that happened.  

They had Kevin and Rob there in about 1/2 hour.  They were clean, polite, friendly, and considerate.  They figured out the problem in each sink quickly.  They not only cleared the blockage, they replaced one of the funky old pea trap/goosenecks without me asking them to.  They were quick and clean and totally cleaned up everything.  Just a great, great job.  Huge weight off my shoulders.  What a relief to have such good  work done.

The bill for two guys working hard for over an hour was $217.  I thought it was a great price for such quick and excellent service.  I totally recommend them.

I called Affordable Drain Service in the late morning and the receptionist said their tech would be there between 2 and 4pm.  The tech, Ryan called at 1:15 and said he would be there in 15 minutes.  Ryan was very courteous and professional.  He had the drain cleared within 30 minutes.  I will be calling the owner, Craig Post again to have my sewer line scoped and pressured washed.

Jason from Affordable Drain Service did a wonderful job of hydro jetting my root infested pipes. He was friendly and personable. First, he started off by explaining what may need to be done and the costs associated with that. Then, he used a camera to show me the pipes, which indicated that I definitely needed the service. After he hydro jetted, he then showed me the clean pipes. Jason cleaned up very well and made sure things were clean before he left. I was also impressed that I had called around 11am and the company had someone out before 2. I highly recommend this company because of friendliness and professionalism shown by the service technician.

Jason and Ryan are wonderful. They saved my whole life.

During the morning another person came and spent two hours, but he couldn't solve the problem.

Jason and Ryan came in the afternoon. They are very professional, super knowledgeable, and friendly. They fixed the issue in a half hour and also charged very reasonable price.

They knew the person from the morning had overcharged. Jason said he would help me to get some refunds back. I am still waiting for it now.

Jason and Ryan are definitely the only two persons I will recommend for everyone. Really really satisfied with their job!

I paid close to $150 to have a plumber come out. The response time was very delayed, and had to wait multiple days. The plumber said the issue was fixed and my water went down the drain. I left for the holidays, and upon my return the issue was still present. I called to notify them that the issue was still ongoing and it wasn't fixed the first time. They told me that there was no guarantee on their work and that I would have to submit another work ticket (hence pay another $150) for them to come fix the issue they never fixed the first time. Stay far away from this company for any plumbing needs!

Extremely pleased. Had outside drain blocked by roots.Two different plumbers came out who said they specialize in this problem and both quickly said they could not help. Called Affordable Drain Service. Jason Podgurski and his helper came out. Excellent results. Very pleasant and professional. In less than one hour,took care of the problem with Hydrojet and prevented me from having to jackhammer up cement. $500 well spent

This was our first time using Affordable Drain Service. Ryan G. and Kenny came out to clear the kitchen drain in our apartment. They came within the first hour of the time frame they gave us plus they called when they were 15 minutes away. Ryan worked hard clearing the drain. They were very professional. Jason was fantastic!  The first thing he did when arriving at my house was to notice me and a neighbor struggling to load a file cabinet onto her pickup.  He immediately came over and kindly offered to help us, and easily got the file cabinet into the truck.  It had been recommended to me to have my drains water jetted.  Jason suggested that he camera the line again in case that was enough (rather than my paying extra if it wasn't necessary).  He camera-ed the line from two clean-outs, and was able to leave me with a photo of the dilapidated connection, and he marked where it needs repair.  He was respectful, kind, professional, cheerful, and he likes his job.  It's great to work with someone who enjoys what they are doing.  I will use them again if I need my drain lines cleared.

Hired Affordable Drain Service (ADS) for camera inspection. Had recurring clogs lately, just wanted to get to the bottom of it. Called, made appointment for the next day. Received a courtesy call as a heads up they were coming out (nice to not have to wait around all day). Jeff and Nate showed up on time, or a little early. Nice people, great service. They used a camera to inspect my pipe, found the culprit -my wife buys the thick paper and the state of California caused low water-flow toilets to be installed in my newer home. Turns out, not enough water to push the thick paper down the pipes. ADS found the problem, and even cleared it for me with the camera. Cost was reasonable, $225 for my particular issue. Now I have some piece of mind having seen the issue and confirming that it was cleared. I highly recommend ADS.

We had standing water in the kitchen sink and I called around to a few places to look for assistance.  Several places either wouldn't do it or otherwise discouraged me from using their services.  One company I spoke with recommended Affordable Drain, so I gave them a call.  Quick response time, and they sent Jeff to assess the situation.  He had the issue fixed in a matter of 15-20 minutes and we are now good to go.  The price was reasonable and great attitude and professionalism by Jeff.  Would use again (but hopefully won't have to).

My family owns a few rental properties and vacation rentals. And when you have guests that experience a drain issue there's little patience when they're on vacation and expect prompt service. We were referred to Affordable Drain more than 8 years ago and it's one of the best companies. Family owned and very responsive and live up to their name of affordable. Every technician to date -- I don't really see them as just plumbers because they do more than that. Helpful, patient and very professional. Highly recommend this company. These guys are champions!  On Christmas Eve day( yesterday ), I called Affordable Drain and requested someone to come out that day to clear a kitchen drain that was really clogged. Never thought I would get help Christmas Eve.
Having a lot of company that evening put us in a real bind.
   They sent out Jaime , who worked tirelessly removing the grease from our old pipes. But the blockage was really bad.  
     So the owner Craig came out within an hour too, with a larger unit and cleared it quickly!!!!! Really way beyond the call of duty! They didn't want to leave us on Christmas with out a kitchen. This is a company I have used before and highly recommend .  Thanks Guys!!!   Richard S.

We had a backed up bathroom sink that just was not flowing in our '54 house.. We suffered for months with a slow drain until it finally stopped working.

We shopped several companies, including reviews, Affordable Drain Service was the best in price ($88 flat fee for up to 1.5hrs labor). Called at 10am on a Monday, they scheduled a crew for a very tight window of 3-5pm (ask the cable company to do that!)...

I told them that I would be home all day and if something else opened up earlier it was cool. 12:30 I get a call, they had a cancelation and were in the area. Truck arrived 20mins later, two guys (Nick and Stephen), both friendly with me and the dog (who is skittish about anyone that gives off a bad vibe).

They had me sign an estimate for the $88 plus additional $10 for a part if required (it was not!).

They did their thing with the snake, took out all the gunk 20ft down the pipes and were gentle enough to protect our dated cast iron system.

Total time, 50mins from doorbell to credit card payment.

The little things that matter:
- Good documentation up front, nothing sneaky
- Friendly guys that are cool with dogs, the dog was leaning hard against Stephen getting massive pets within 5mins, rare for new people
- Quick work.. They knew what was gonna happen, took charge, and just did it, I did not even needed to supervise.
- Tested everything, multiple times
- Clean up: They brought their own towels, not like with my other plumber. They even sanitized the work area, back wall, cabinet floor and toilet.

In all, highly recommended, will use them again.

Affordable came and completed the job that Yogis plumbing could not and would not finish.  They did twice the amount of work in the half the amount of time.  

I got recommended to them by an actual plumbing company to run a camera line so that I could install a cleanout.  I thought I was about to spend $1500 just to get my drains clear.  Camera + Cleanout + Jetting = $$$$$$$.    So I called Affordable and  the guy on the phone was very friendly and helpful.  He said we can run a camera and do the jet without installing a cleanout.  He said you should try to snake it again first.  

Yogis had only used 75 foot snake from the roof vent and at the time I said I think you need to go farther.  They said they hit roots and pulled back and then offered to upsell on their cleanout installation for $1700.  

SO, Ryan shows up from Affordable and has a great let's get it done attitude.  I explained the situation and he said that I most likely already have a cleanout and that he could run a camera and find it.  He offered the camera and Jetting but said it could not be done until following day.  I said I need this done, my kids can't wait another day.   He said fine, I'll use a 150 foot snake and some muscle.  He got up on the roof and  went to work.   Sure enough, he pulled out a huge root ball.  

I had paid Yogis $205 and for there 2 man / 2 hour 75 foot half-hearted snake service which they would not stand behind less than 24 hours later.  For $152 I got the Gitter Done 150 foot snake service by Ryan in less than an hour.

This is the second time we've used Affordable Drain Service ... a contractor that we really like recommended them.

The office staff was VERY helpful and friendly, compared to what many other reviewers have said. They asked very specific questions and gave very specific pricing on what we were dealing with being an after-hours/overtime call.

So Jeff and Joey came out to our house on an emergency basis due to a recurring mainline backup that was too tough for our regular plumber. They used the camera to show us where the blockage was happening and they were even able to clear the blockage with the camera. We gave them a thumbdrive to record what they found and they even narrated it as well.

The pricing was great with as quickly as they came out, Jeff and Joey were very personable and competent, and we would definitely highly recommend them!

I have used Affordable Drain twice now! They are fast, honest, thorough, did a great job and charged me a fair price. When I needed to replace or re-line my lateral sewer line they got me quotes from 3 different class A Plumbers. Craig contacted the various companies and the City of La Mesa on my behalf. Jason Podgurski arrived on time with an assistant to scope the sewer line for the house I am buying which has a couple of trees with very invasive roots.  He was efficient, friendly, knowledgable, and answered all of my many questions very patiently!!  They cleaned everything up very quickly and asked if we had any other questions several times before they left.  He mentioned this was his last job of the day because it was his birthday!!

Affordable Drain Service came out the same day that I called for an appointment. Their representative, Rob, was so courteous and thorough. It was a pleasure dealing with him.
Although the job took much longer than anyone would have guessed (the drain was really clogged after years of doing nothing to it), Rob did not give up on it. Finally, he uncovered the problem and had it working like new again! Rob told me up front when I had reached the allotted time for a service call, and that the hourly rate would be an increased amount. I liked that he was up front with me about the additional charge. I asked that he continue, and finally, he was successful. I highly recommend this company, if my experience today represents their standard form of service, and the quality of their representatives.

During the recent storms our sewage line became backed up--like so many other folks in SD. We called Affordable Drain and they were swamped with calls but they managed to fit us in at 8pm. Ryan came out promptly at 8pm and worked for two hour in the rain (pouring before it let up). He cleared some of the drain but we had tree roots in the line. He cleared it enough for the night and the next day we had to get the line jetted. Ryan was a champ and kept at the line for two hours doing as much as he could with his tools. We were all impressed by his dedication and skills. He was super friendly, especially since he began work at 7am that day.

We had total blockage of every drain. Robert H. showed up 2 hours after we called. Robert was friendly and professional and explained all charges. A larger machine was required, which Dan and Kodiak delivered. Dan's knowledge of his trade is astounding. We had a clogged line on a Friday night at a commercial property and Ryan and James were dispatched after-hours.  They arrived as promised, and had the best attitude.  They were positive, fast and so upbeat (for an after-hours plumbing issue). Just our luck we clog our toilet on a holiday weekend, seriously the day after Thanksgiving.  After an entire day of feasting like beasts, our full household clogged the toilet after letting nature take its course.  We tried contacting other plumbers and a lot of them were either closed for the holidays or completely booked for other stuff over the next two weeks.  Luckily another plumbing service recommended that I contact Affordable Drain Service.  I called and a service tech was at our house within an hour.  He was able to unclog our toilets in less than 10 minutes! I think this company deserves five stars. The least easy part of working with ADS was the initial phone time. (Before I called them, I tried 6 other businesses. They either didn't answer the phone, had a recording, or were seriously unprofessional.) So I guess I did well just finding a plumbing service that offered a live, competent person. I was put on hold a couple of times, and the hold time voice-over recording was excruciating. But I ended up speaking with a man who politely got me scheduled, same day. We'll be there before 5.
I got a call from the tech, Mike, about 11:30am. He was parked in front of my place. I greeted him and he went right to work.
We needed a mainline cleanout; the whole thing took about 40 mins.
The price was reasonable, Mike was a pro.
I would do business with these people again.

Jeff the service tech is FANTASTIC!!!! He is always thorough, professional and trustworthy. I know we will get the best service when he is here. No complaints with him or his work performance or ethic. We have complete confidence in him, because he will get the job taken care of in a pleasant manner. He is EXCELLENT!!!!

Unfortunately, I wish I had the same opinion about the office staff who I had to interact with on the telephone today. Both conversations were obstinate, defensive and difficult. Their need to state the obvious (repeatedly) was unnecessary and redundant. They were more interested in getting their point across and not considering my words or platform. It was a power play, and in my opinion the furthest thing from customer service or customer appreciation.

I chose to share this because, this company has taken care of us in the past as it related to drains and also being generous with how they billed due to our repeated need for their service. That kindness was appreciated and we are grateful, but to dangle that fact within the conversation (repeatedly) was insulting. We were and are grateful for the discount(s) that were provided, and that should have been accepted and noted when it was stated in our conversation. Their need to repeat what they did for us by providing a discounted service, not appreciating us as repeated customers, and their need/want to get the last word in as the 'only' word that mattered, really made it feel like a power play platform.

This was unfortunate for all of us on the phone today......

USE THIS COMPANY!  The true measure of a good company is how they respond when something goes wrong.  Well, I used this company yet again recently and unfortunately they cracked something.  Without any hesitation, they paid to replace the item and they replaced/installed that item the very same day.  This left them without a profit on the original job.  They didn't complain; it was simply the right thing to do and they did it!  On previous visits, they did a great job (without any accidents) and I like that they are straightforward about their prices, without the shady upsells that you get from some of the lowball companies out there.  I've used Affordable Drain Service multiple times already and after seeing how they react in the face a problem, I will certainly use them again.

$92 to clear a drain. 4 days later the same drain was stopped up. They wanted another $92 to come out to clear the drain. Will never hire this company again.

Had to use the guys again at my daughters house. A man named Billy came out and he had a helper with him. They snaked the drain, ran the camera and pressured washed the pipe to get the roots out. He recommended that we have a 2 way clean out installed in the front yard for any future problems. He gave us a name of someone and they set up an appointment, shoed up early and finished it before they said they would.

This company is honest and totally professional.  I have had a root problem in my main sewer line.. We have we have had many plumbers come in charge of outrageous amounts, and never even fixed the problem... most would give different diagnoses and fixes..

We called 'Affordable Plumbing' and gave us a quote.  Billy and Stephen came out.   we explained our situation, they went straight to work, and were in and out in less than an hour.  They removed ALL the roots. They charged us $241, which was very close to the quote we received.  We have never met a plumbing company this honest, professional, and courteous.  We will definitely use them again!!

Ryan is amazing!  Last night we hosted a dinner party, and after the guests left I discovered that the kitchen sink drain was clogged.  I went to bed with the hope that it would be cleared by morning.  Sadly it wasn't.  I called my plumber who recommended Affordable Drain.  I called a receptionist.  Within minutes Ryan called back.  He was available right then (on a Sunday morning!).  He told me the price options for Sunday versus Monday, and I decided to opt for Sunday.  He arrived on time,  did the work, cleaned up the area.  He gave me advice to prevent a recurrence of the problem.  I am extremely pleased with his service and professionalism.  I hope not to need his service in the future, but highly recommend this company and this craftsman, who takes pride in his work and in the service he provides.

At my work, one of the hats I wear is the facilities mgr. The afternoon of Tuesday before Thanksgiving, all of the toilets in our three restrooms clogged up. Plunging didn't work, and our own drain cleaning machines were on jobsites (US Navy vessels). So, I called Colepepper. One of their plumbers came out at 10 am Wednesday,  and by 12 noon he said that we had a hard clog that his drum machine wasn't going through. He quoted $3,891 to cut out and replace the clogged piping in the crawl space. At the advice of the building owner, we called Affordable Drain Service. Their plumber was onsite at 2:15 pm, went into the crawl space to look at the piping, looked outside the building, then opened a cleanout behind a different toilet than the one Colepepper used. 10 minutes later, he tells me that the clog is cleared. He showed me the piping condition using his SeeSnake camera. He didn't even have to use a machine, just cleared the clog with the camera on his SeeSnake. $150 total and done.

Excellent customer service.  Called the morning after Christmas with a clogged kitchen drain, not expecting to get same day service.  But Craig, the President of Affordable Drain Service, arrived at our house even earlier than promised and solved our problem for a reasonable price.

My kitchen drain was blocked below the p joint and below the washout on the side of the house. I knew I had a serious blockage that required professional assistance. So I looked up rooters on Yelp and liked the reviews of Affordable Drain Services. Unfortunately, this all happened on a Sunday so I knew there would be an extra charge. I called the number and the dispatcher hooked me up with he service tech. He told me the rooting process and mentioned that if i waited till Monday It would be only 88 bucks.
So.... The next day I called Affordable Drain Services again and they came out at the expected time. It was only about 15 minutes of work but they cleared the block.

- Cheaper than other rooters, but same great results!
- Weekend Work is about 130 for service.
- Weekday work was 88.
- They guarantee their work.

I've referred this company to clients many times in the past but after dealing with them on my own residence I won't be doing that anymore.  

I called to have a sewer line camera inspection completed.  The technicians that showed up were very knowledgeable and professional.  They informed me that kitchen sink sewer line (with clean out access) that tie into the main line require a mini camera to inspect and that the majority of the inspection trucks within the company have this camera but theirs did not so they wouldn't be able to inspect that particular line.  Just my luck.  

Obviously I was very disappointed considering that when I made the appointment to inspect the sewer line they didn't indicate a potential need for a mini camera.  I just assumed they'd be inspecting the entire sewer line.

I was charged full price for the inspection ($200), the two service men were in-and-out in less than an hour but I still didn't know the status of the line I had the most concern about.  When I called the office after the work was completed I was told that unless specifically requested they don't inspect kitchen lines.  When I inquired about the price to have the kitchen line inspected, they quoted me another $125.  I informed the office that they should disclose to clients that the inspection only covers the main sewer line and that any additional lines will require a special camera and potential more cost.  

Super disappointed.  These guys are off my contractor list.

Yesterday, the shower in the master bath completely clogged up.  I tried Drano and a plunger to no avail.  I previously had a good experience with Best Plumbing so of course I called them.  They quoted me $240 for a simple drain snaking!  That was unconscionable, so I called other drain cleaning services listed on Yelp and had the good fortune to call Affordable.  I called several others, but either got and answering machine, vague answers or higher costs.

The phone at Affordable was promptly answered by a pleasant man and I was quoted $95 for the drain cleaning through the drain and P-trap.  They gave me a time frame for the next day.

Within the time frame they called first, and then arrived promptly.  Ryan and Pat quickly diagnosed the problem, brought in a drill-powered small snake, and had the clog completely cleared in minutes.  Plus, they advised me to never use Drano again as it is too hard on the pipes.

Both Ryan and Pat had clean uniforms, were polite, courteous and professional.  Not only did they quickly resolve the problem, but the price remained the same.  I would not hesitate to call them again for our plumbing needs and would highly recommend them to our fellow Yelpers

I decided to give Affordable another try after the arrogant response given back in July 2017. We own a home and I also own several businesses that has utilized Affordable in the past. This visit was no different so it really doesn't matter if we have a direct line to you like a previous landlord or not. You didn't perform the work or ever look at the previous house you know so much about in the 10 years I lived there and service is absolutely horrid. I may have used you as a tenant, but have also used you as a business owner and home owner. Like I said before on a previous visit. The knowledge of techs has consistently gone downhill, service/hospitality is horrible, and leadership is extremely condescending. There are plenty of drain services that appreciate service and treat customers with respect. I gave you several opportunities even after poor leadership that was displayed but quality is still the same. I own a newer home now, gave them the final chance and same shady business practices and proposals for thousands of dollars on a new home. Don't trust them!

Dylan called me and let me know he had finished a job early and was at my home right at the beginning of my time slot.  We discussed my issue and he started right away and was done clearing my laundry room drain in about an hour.  Drain now runs free and clear!  Life saver with 3 kids under 3 and a wife who lover to cook ( do I have dish duty). This company was recommended by another plumber and I am so grateful.  Had an appointment the next morning after calling after 4pm the previous day.  Will definitely use them again.  Great customer service and technician was personably and knowledgeable.  Thank you for piece of mind.

Took a shower and ran downstairs into a mini-flood from my bathroom. Uh-oh. Went on Yelp and found nearby Affordable Drain Service called them to see if they could come by that day and they could! Matt called before he was on his way. He quickly diagnosed it as a sewer clog and after 30 minutes, it was all done! I've never seen my toilets flush that fast!! Super friendly, quick and affordable...  totally recommend them.

After an insurance claim and the insurance company's recommended drain service quoting me about $700 to hydro jet the soap blockage they found with their camera, I decided to call ADS.  They found that it was actually a plastic seal left over from construction that caused a paper hang up and since it was plastic, hydro jetting would not have worked.  They cleared the line and recorded the whole thing on video for me for less than half the quote from the other company.  I didn't expect this.  The tech was nice, polite, and thorough.  No regrets, at all.  Thanks guys.

Called about a clogged line, not urgent. Very courteous and efficient receptionist -- got an appointment for the next morning between 9-11. Service technician Ryan was on time, professional and diagnosed the problem thoroughly. Both toilets augered 6', tub drain cleaned and main line cleared and checked with camera. He also discovered that the outside sewer clean out access pipes had been paved over by a patio addition at some point in the past, which was news to us. Great job!

Not impressed. Blocked toilet in master bathroom. Tried for best part of Sunday to clear blockage but too far down for usual 3 ft toilet snake, so called in pro's. Rob from affordable plumbing  turns up at 4pm and my wife explains what we've already tried. He realizes it's not going to be a 5 minute job and makes his excuses about not being able to isolate the water to the toilet as he'd need to remove it (claimed isolator valve felt like it would break) and leaves... Guy didn't even attempt anything to tackle problem and parting words to my wife were it's been a long day.. funnily enough I get home and turn off the water to the toilet no problem- not that it even needed doing! if  Thanks for nothing

Prompt, honest and straightforward compared to other companies I've had out before, and contacted this time. What I thought was a recurring blockage turned out to be caused by a root problem in the main sewer line. Jeff and assistant Joey thoroughly explained all the options, showed me the problem on a camera, and I chose the Jet to get rid of the roots for a while. It was a little more expensive than I anticipated, but won't be in the long run because I'll save on ongoing blockage/callout charges for quite some time.

My only suggestion is regarding video - let the customer know before starting, that a video can be taken of the camera going down. My husband was out of town and I would have preferred to be able to show him a before video when he gets back. Once I asked if a video was possible, Jeff very kindly redid an after video for me complete with him narrating for my husband, awesomely helpful!

Your staff are a credit to you, and Joey is a great trainee, very polite and knowledgeable, explaining what was happening throughout.

I was quoted one price over the phone and then another in person.  Robert told me I don't want to be here a long time cause I've got other things to do, which made me feel like I was not a concern of his.  He quoted a higher price but since it was only $25 higher I said no worries.  We paid $250 for three drains but he only did the toilets and he didn't do the shower.  I was told they would charge more to come back and that I was only changed for two drains.  We were told they would come back out on Sun but they would charge us overtime even though the job wasn't done right the 1st time.  I was told they wanted to scope the pipes out with a camera and that would cost $250 or more and that they wouldn't re-snake out pipes unless they did that 1st.  I told Dan the office manager that I would prefer they do the shower 1st and re-snake the toilets cause Robert didn't do a good job, but I did agree to having them come out, but after I told them I would not pay one more dime for the shower and I was going to go down to my bank and put a stop payment and Yelp them = Robert refused to do anything.  I get that, but if your service writer and Robert told me the correct pricing and did out shower and drains correctly = we wouldn't be in this situation right now.  I went to Home Depot and bought a snake and after watching a video or two on YouTube I decided to do it myself yesterday cause we were about to have an overflow issue again which would flood out or downstairs again = argh.  That is when I found out that the shower was not snaked at all, and even Dan confirmed with Robert that he didn't snake our shower at all.  I also hit some pretty major clogs in the toilets so Robert was in a hurry and he didn't do a good job and for that reason = why I don't feel I should have to pay extra for they didn't do what was promised now did they offer to do it without a huge up-charge.  I understand Xmas is coming up and we all have things to do but this is just not right and I will not recommend them to anyone, and I will be posting on FB and I will have their name on the tip of my tongue for a very long time cause they didn't do a good job at all and they could of made it right, but they refused to come out and take care of it on Sunday which was one day after we had our flood cause they already had 7 folks ahead of us.  How to you take care of new clients when you haven't even taken care or the client you just charged $250 to snake out two drains when it was suppose to be 3?  I have a call out to Craig who is the owner and I have not heard back from him and that was over an hour or more, and they said they would give him a shout and when he is finished with his current job that he would give me a call = just shows how much they truly care for I should of received an immediate phone call back or within an hour at the most to be accommodating on my end.  I will update this review if I hear from Craig and I have a good result with him...if not I will let this stand on it's own :-(  Update...no call back from Craig = they are leaving us high and dry...well not high and not dry but well they abandoned up and our drains are still backed up.  I would not recommend these guys to anyone...

A family member suggested this company after one of the bigger-name plumbing companies quoted us tens of thousands of dollars and ten days of work to fix our problem. Marino arrived and within 15 minutes had removed a clump of hair. Then, he showed us camera footage of our pipes, which were perfect - which is not what we were told by that other company. So we'll use Affordable Drain from now on and strongly suggest you consider them for a second opinion if you're told you have a major problem.

This organization seems to have the art of customer service down cold.  I had another plumber visit just a few days prior and give me a quote of $360 to clear 2 drains.  The other plumber tried to force this pricing on me because they were already at the house.  Luckily, i sent them packing and found Affordable Drain to remedy the problems.

Affordable did the drain for $88.00 and i used a coupon to discount the 2nd drain and the total price was less than 1/3 of the other plumber.

Affordable drains was very interested in providing all the options and information that I would need going forward.  I highly recommend this honest and talented company.

I want to say thanks to the Affordable Drain Service team, from the call center person to the scheduler all the way to Jose who was very professional and thorough in his job.  I called in at 7:15 am today and i was promised that a technician will show up between 9 and 11 today.  Jose showed up around 8:45 am and told me upfront the cost of opening the sewer line.  There was no gimmick and there was no need to even negotiate.  I thought it was fair.  He explained to me what was the problem and gave me some tips on how to avoid it in the future.  Thank you Jose very much for today's job.  Affordable Drain Service is my go to plumbing in the future.

Had called a plumber that I usually do business with because of unclogged drains.  Their answering service told me they would call but I never heard from them.  The next day I searched the Yelp reviews of my second go to company.  I read the good reviews, and some of the recent bad reviews to figure out if there is a serious defficiency.  One of those reviews mentioned that my go to company wanted too much money for cleaning out drains, so the reviewer ended up calling Affordable Drain Service and was very happy.  Called them about 8:15am  and they came out about 10:30am.  Marino was courteous, friendly and efficient.  I'm very happy with the work.  They charged exactly what they quoted ($95)

Affordable Drain Service was great. We had our sewer line backed up causing all our toilets not to drain. They cleared up the line within several minutes and everything was flowing again.

Billy and Johnny came out at the scheduled time and was quick, professional, and experienced.  I got a courtesy call from them letting me know that they are one their way. Billy and Johnny know what they are doing and do an awesome job communicating what they see is the problem.

I would highly recommend this company for all my plumbing needs and would definitely recommend having these guys take care of you.

I recently had a main sewer line back up caused by tree roots.

I called around several places for estimates and affordable drain service seemed to be the best value.

When I decided to go with Affordable Drain, Billy showed up on time.

He was able to jet all the roots out of my sewer line and he made a DVD video that I could compare to how bad the roots were before.

I'd definitely go with Affordable Drain again.  Unfortunately with 50 year old concrete pipes in my front yard, I probably will have to have the roots jetted in another year or two, I will be sure to call Affordable Drain again (It's better than having a sewage backup in your house!)

USE THIS COMPANY!!!!  AWESOME!!! We had a toilet that wouldn't clear up.  Tried all the home and bought remedies, still nothing.  Called a few plumbers receiving high quotes with additional charges, if there were any issues.  Last resort, asking friends and family if they have used anyone in the area.  One name was prevalent, Affordable Drain Service.  Called, spoke with the company describing the issue and setting up an appointment for the following day. The company assured there would be no hidden costs. Our technician, James White called to let us know he was on his way and was early.  He did the job quickly, having to remove the toilet to extract an enormous amounts of roots.  We poked it make sure it wasn't alive! James completed the job quickly, was very polite understanding our dilemma, knowledgeable, and worked with the company applying a discount.  He even cracked a few jokes which relieved my apprehension.  The bill did not cause me to faint.  We have a working toilet and the entire household is happy!!!  I will not only use ADS again but have been letting everyone I know to use their service.  I can't thank Affordable Drain services enough for the great service and being a great company.  Thank You ADS!!!

We had a major clog in our house and I called the 24 hour hotline at 7 o'clock in the morning but let them know it wasn't an emergency and they told me I would get a call back during business hours and I received a call within two hours. I had Ryan arrive at my house around 9 AM and he did A really nice job of snaking the mainline and unclogging the drains. He was very efficient and a really nice guy. It was super easy and I definitely will call these guys again anytime we have any kind of drainage issue. Thanks Ryan!

Just had Mathew Hurtado from Afforable Drain Service fix a big clog / backup in my kitchen sink.  He was friendly, professional, quick and very personable.  I'm usually a do-it-yourself guy, buy I'm a big fan of Affordable Drain Service now.  A great value and fixed it in under an hour... would've taken me four hours assuming I had the appropriate equipment, which I don't.  I highly recommend this company and will definably us them in the future.

Called them to unclog a shower drain in my new house for the first time in 5 years. I took extra precaution to prevent from this happening again by attaching a drain cover with small openings so hair would not go through. Four months later, it is clogged again. They obviously did not remove everything. Called them to complain and they said that they only give you a 30 days warranty. They are a big company and they have too many technicians. Do yourself a favor, shop around and go with a small business instead that cares more about their customers.

Update: Called Yogi's Plumbing and Drain from Encinitas and they literally got a huge clump of hair out. They took the time to go deep and get everything out. Proof that Affordable Drain did a mediocre job. Skip Affordable Drain at all cost, it will cost you more because you may end up making a second call. I recommend Yogi's Drain, their service costs about the same. Or use anyone else, shop around.

To Daniel: Instead of spending your time responding to all your negative reviews, you should take care of your customers!

Our downstairs toilet stopped up; we had 3 houseguests at the time.  After they left, we tried all the suggestions on the internet for clearing a clog--baking soda and vinegar, soap and hot water, plunger, new plunger, and finally a snake.  Nothing worked. I called Affordable Drain Service after reading their stellar reviews at 9:30 am.  James was at my door a little after 10:00.  He cleared the roots from my toilet and educated me about how to prevent a recurrence.  He was friendly, polite, and competent, sharing the joy at the sound of a healthy flush when the roots were removed.  He replaced the wax seal after reseating the toilet.  All for $105!!!

I think there is something very wrong with these guys....they show up on time, their prices are very fair, they don't upsell, they get the job done quick, professionally and with a smile.  Who does that these days?  

Seriously, Carlin was the tech that fixed a root problem on my clean out line.  He was probably the best plumber type (they are not plumbers, but drain techs) I've ever worked with.  He was on time, clean, professional, got the job done quickly and right the first time.  My only complaint is that these guys don't do more plumbing work!  

Bottom line...they (Carlin) rock!  I would hire them again in an instant!

Very disappointing! Did my home inspection but never included the root problem on the report so 2 weeks later, with sewage in my backyard, they refused to accept responsibility for their mistake. Would have been nice to receive at least a partial refund, but instead they just pointed fingers. So we ended up covering the entire bill and it should have been taken care of earlier. Thanks for the extra headache, hassle and $450 bill.

While I appreciate the response, nothing was in the invoice or the report. A verbal in the video is not appropriate documentation and quite frankly, I feel that I was unjustly charged the amount. It should have been properly documented on actual paper. At the end of the day, it should have been done before we moved in.  I don't doubt this will be an ongoing problem, however what I would like to see is a gratuitous cleaning offered or a voucher for a future root cleaning.  Thanks.

Wow.  Super impressed with Jeff Feldhaus from Affordable Drain Services.  He embodies the very best of a person who loves and takes pride in his craft.  Instead of tying to rush in and fix a problem, he takes his time to  assess the problem at hand from a global perspective.  My regular plumber who is also very good at his trade, did the best that he could given his resources and knowledge.  Jeff was respectful of my plumber's suggestion to correct the complex drain issue in my 3 story house but tried a solution that ultimately saved me money and was very effective.  He went above and beyond the ordinary by using all of his extensive resources (ADS has a vast array of drain equipment that includes a camera) to verify that the drain was working all the way down to the main line.  He also discovered the underlying issue that has been causing the recurring drain stoppages in my kitchen sink on the 3rd level.  Jeff is not only a wizard at his work but is just plain friendly and personable.  I felt very comfortable having he and his partner in my home.  He clearly gives off good energy as all of my dogs were also comfortable with him going in and out to do his investigations and complete the corrective actions.  I would highly recommend Jeff of ADS for any of your drain needs.  He is my go to guy for any future drainage problems.  Thanks so much Jeff!

We called based on the great reviews on Yelp. We were greeted by a friendly person by phone. We needed to get a clog out in our shower. Although it cost a little more, we got our appointment quicker since we called later in the afternoon. Turns out that the clogged shower was called by a sink drain. The tech was friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. He even cleaned the shower area for us when he was done working. Will use again.

Daniel Wooten is excellent. I had a few concerns after a visit from the technicians that came out to service my plumbing problem. I called the office and Daniel responded right away. Never felt I needed to give a review until today. The showers in both my bathrooms were backed up and not draining at all. I called other companies first but was given high prices and they weren't available to provide the service at that time. I called Affordable Drain and they were able to get my on their schedule and within 2 hours they were on their way. When the technician Marino arrived I explained and showed him the problem. I told him how the other plumbing companies usually cleared the drains through the clean out in the front yard. He thought that was odd and told me he would be able to clear it from one of the bathrooms. He did just that!!  Marino is amazing and I know who I'll be calling next time I have a plumbing issue. Our main line drain was clogged and we were in absolute panic when water started coming up from the utility sink. I called Affordable Drain Service, and they sent Ryan Guthrie, their fantastic technician, over in 15 minutes! He also fixed the issue in about 15 minutes, roto rooting the main line drain and clearing out debris that were clogging the pipes. Ryan was fast, professional, and honest. I don't even know how to begin.  These guys just blew me out of the water.  Way exceeded my expectations!! My boss and I were completely impressed and very grateful to this company.  I am specifically talking about the drain service tech that came to our Solana Beach Smiles Dental Office.  His name was Marino I believe.  Mariano?  I'm sorry If I'm getting the name wrong but he'll know who he is once he reads this.  I didn't tell him when he arrived that we already had some other local very popular rooter plumbers come out and access our dilemma.  We are a dental office and our pumps' drain had backed up.  It was URGENT we get it fixed ASAP.  That morning the other company came and to make a long story short they told me that our drain pipe was collapsed and that they needed to rip up concrete. After listening to their pitch and reasoning, I respectfully declined.  I then called Affordable Drain and they sent Marino out right away.  I showed him where the drain was and without telling him what the previous guys had told me he went to work.  Literally 40 minutes later he comes back and says all done  He said very non-chalant and still with a little sweat coming down his brow, poor guy, it was HOT that day.  it was a bit tricky but I got it  and the bill came to less than 100 bucks!!! WHAT??!! Was I hearing him correctly??  I had to tell him about my encounter with the rooter people in the morning. He listened and let me vent.  Which I needed very much. lol  Moral of the story,..always get a second opinion, and always go with affordable drain.   I will never use any other drain clearing company again!! Our guest bathroom and kitchen sink backed up late in the evening on a Sunday night.  I found Affordable on Yelp.  I called them and they offered to come out that evening or could be out in the morning.  I chose to wait for the morning.  Precisely at 0800, Brian called, and a tech (Mike) was at my house at 0850.  Mike was professional and obviously knew what he was doing.  He got up on the roof and snaked the line for the bathroom and cleared the blockage very quickly.  He was gone at 0935 and everything drained as designed.

I highly recommend Affordable.  I was very pleased with their Dispatch and follow up visit.  I will use them again if ever needed.

Another round of happy experience! Trustworthy! This is the 2nd time for me to use their service, last time is for kitchen sink clog, this time is for backyard drain. Jeff and his assistant Joey arrived on time, both very friendly, briefly explained about the procedure then started to work on the problem, it's 2 hr work order, they worked very hard on it! We have lot of root inside, fortunately not disaster yet, they got the job done as planned. No doubt I will use their service again and glad to refer them to everyone!

This is the second time we've used the services of ADS, and the second time we've been completely satisfied with their work their pleasant and  and able employees, and their reasonable prices. Today Jason and Nate arrived within an hour after we called the office. They diagnosed the problem and quickly located the main drain clean-out even though it was comletely overgrown by grass in our front yard. They were thorough and cheerful, and when they finished using  their huge sewer drain cleaning machine they carefully cleaned up and carefully trimmed the sod around the clean-out so we can easily install a proper cover for it. We recently moved to Ramona and had a sewer problem the 2nd day in the house.  The first company spent 6 hours here and did not solve the problem.  On Sunday, 6/18, Father's day too, Ryan Kiernan showed up to help us out.  Ryan did an awesome job, fixed the problem in under 2 hours which included fixing a few issues left behind from the previous company.  Ryan was extremely professional and explained everything.  We need Ramona area added to your cities served please.   I would ask for Ryan every time and highly recommend him!!  Thank you Ryan.

After arriving home after a weekend in Vegas our house guest greeted us with the bad news that our bathrooms were out of commission since our mainline sewage line was backed up due to large roots overtaking the line.  They cleaned and jetted out the intrusion until 100 percent of the roots were removed.  Rob and his associate were professional and took care of the issue immediately.  It's a very personable company with a great team and I highly recommend them for any drain issues you may encounter.  They also responded to our call quickly and made the entire process a relaxed experience.  Affordable Drain Service deserves this review and the positive feedback posted by other satisfied customers!

Had a surprise backup in the pipes, causing both of the upstairs toilets to clog.  Called a few different plumbers and got the obligatory let me take your name and number and a technician will call you soon.  1 call back came two hours later.  The other call never came at all.  Lucky for me, my third call was Affordable Drain Service. The girl who answered the phone was professional, helpful, and didn't treat my call as just another job.  She was able to get the techs out to my house in less than an hour.  Rob and Pat were professional, knowledgeable, cleaned up after their work was done, and had the bathrooms running like they are supposed to in 45 minutes.  I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for plumbing work to be done!

There's nothing like sitting in your living room at 4:00 p.m. and smelling raw sewage.  That's right- spewing out of all three of my toilets!  I called Affordable Drain and got their answering service.  Shortly after their technician Ryan Worrell called me back.  He said he was on his way to another emergency, but would get to me that night!  And he did!  Ryan worked tirelessly until 1:15 a.m. to restore my plumbing system.  And he gave me great advice for the future.  Never again will my system back up due to busted cast iron pipes and too-thick TP!  Thank you Ryan and Affordable Drain!

We had them come out to snake out a sewer line.  The plumber was very professional and had the correct snake for the job.   He was able to do the job with no issue and quickly.
  He as well discus possible causes of the issue. The price was good as well.

My kitchen sink backed up all the way into my bathroom sink. From the first phone call, they were incredibly courteous and helpful. Rob did a great job fixing the previous homeowners botched repair job. He was friendly and upbeat, apologizing because it took him longer than expected. I was not inconvenienced at all. All my plumbing backed up on a Sunday morning and I called Affordable. They came out by 2 p.m. that afternoon and cleaned out the main line and had it all fixed in a couple of hours. The tech was helpful and thorough. Because there is no clean out access to the main line, he had to pull out a toilet to get to it, but left everything clean and put back together when he was finished. A little pricey, but for fast-response service on a Sunday, a good value.

The way service is supposed to be.  This was a clogged kitchen drain call on the Monday after Thanksgiving weekend, a fairly busy time.  I called, the person on the other end was pleasant, took my contact information, asked me about the form of payment, and told me to expect the plumber to show up between 10 and 12 am.  Around 10:30, the plumber called saying he was about 10 minutes away.  He showed up within the next 10 minutes, quickly diagnosed the problem and solved it.  He also cleaned up MY mess in the sink.

I thought it was a joke when I heard, $ 220 for 10 minutes of using the camera and output: you do not need to spend money on our expensive service, the roots in the pipe, they can not be cleaned. I thought how honest the guys are, they save my money. After that, I was told: $220 for our service (recall, 10 minutes they spent on what the camera showed, cleaning is useless). This is not a matter of misunderstanding, I knew that the work would cost from $420 to $520 for the whole job. But $ 220 for the camera, it's too much. For comparison, an hour later I had a plumber who worked for 3 hours, cut a gas pipe and it cost me $ 240. do not deal with those who do not value your money. I am very unsatisfied with this AFFORDABLE company.

Rob did a great job identifying the problem and fixing it with the hydrojetter within an hour (and within ~3 hours of 1st calling Affordable Drain Service!).  Although the final price ($305) was substantially higher than what was initially quoted over the phone ($125-$195), we were given price breaks on the additional use of their camera and they honored an additional $20 coupon from the web, making their price competitive to better than other hydro-jetting prices we see online.  We appreciated the quick, professional dispatching service and the fact that we were slid into a canceled appt. slot, decreasing our time without drain service by at least an hour or so.  We also appreciated the solid comms  by both the original person we spoke with on the phone (sorry, didn't catch the name!), and Rob.

I had Affordable Drain Service out to clear my yard drains.  I have (2) main lines, with several area drains and downspouts that drain into the lines.  In the past, I had used another company to service the lines.  This was my first time calling Affordable Drain.  

I was so happy with my experience with Affordable Drain Service.  Jeff and Brian arrived as scheduled.  They were very professional and nice to talk to.  They were efficient in performing the work.   I did have a break in one of my main lines, caused by a large tree root(s).  They used a camera to locate the break for me, and cleaned all other lines.  I told them I would repair the break, as I will be doing some other construction work in the area of the break.

I will definitely be calling Affordable Drain Service for any plumbing and drainage work in the future.

I called a local plumber and explained that my washing machine was draining onto the floor (blocked standup pipe) and my bathroom sink was very slow.   The plumber recommended Affordable Drain and JOEY came out, was super nice and loves dogs AND fixed the drains AND replaced pipe that was broken just to be nice AND completely cleaned up the floor and walls with simple green.  This is an awesome company - deserves 6 stars

I had to call these guys again New Years eve due to more plumbing issues that they realized was connected to the main drain. Rob and Ryan came out quickly. I had a very positive experience with this company. My initial call was very thorough and forthright about costs, which is always nice. They came the next day, called before arrival as promised, and Jason and Ryan went right to work. Thankfully, it ended up being the least expensive service call option because the toilets need replacing, but they didn't waste time coming to that conclusion or trying to do work that wasn't going to solve anything. I asked and received clear information on what we needed to do and buy, and they gave me information that would likewise avoid an upsell at Home Depot. They helped out with a pesky drain as well, at no extra cost. I would definitely recommend this place.

ADS was professional, reliable, and reasonable. They quoted me a price range, and had a plumber out very quickly. James was terrific. Our drain clog proved to be a bit tricky. Going through the main drain didn't clear it, James tried a couple of different entry points till he finally got it.  He worked very neatly, and cleaned up after himself and even cleaned out the shower floor where we had the backup. And the charge was still the minimum I had been quoted!  Highly recommend.

Affordable Drain Service sure seems to hire the right people. Their technician, Scott, came out today to clean the drains at my parents' house. There was a fairly major clog in the sewer line so he needed to get it from the roof. He did an awesome job and he was extremely thorough. He cleared the clog and then ran his camera down to make sure he got it all. When he realized it had not all cleared, he continued until he got it all cleared out. Worth every penny it cost me. Scott was friendly and confident and a very good worker. Customer service is not lost on this young man. Thank you Affordable Drain Service. And thank you, Scott. Job well done!

Two days in a row I relied on Yelp and it has not let me down. I called three off my plumbers ( as they are always busy) and of course they were. I called Affordable Drain Service and they said they would have someone over in less then an hour. Holy Cow they were there and done in less than an hour. All or $88. Called their phone number and made an appointment for same day service. Dispatcher estimate 1-3pm, tech came at 2:42pm same day.

Called back dispatcher because I forgot what the time was, a girl answered and placed me on hold right away.. then another guy answered.. no warm transfer at all. Asked dispatcher to verify my number they have on file, glad I did because he had put in a wrong number.

John (tech) got the job done in 15 minutes. Paid 88 dollars (dispatcher estimated 88 dollars an hour) for what i think is from hair build up in the bathtub drain.

He didn't introduce himself when we opened the door.. just when he called stating hes on the way.. but I knew he was the plumber from his outfit and truck outside. He didn't tell us what went wrong or what he found etc.

Paid before tech left.

I don't know, they did get the job done I guess that's what truly matters. But atleast have good customer service. It was just too awkward.. it was like having a stranger go into your home, fix the problem, and then leave without saying a word.

Affordable Drain was recommended by our plumbers and they are outstanding.

Clogged kitchen drain. Tech arrived on time and gave accurate, almost to the minute, call saying he would be there in 10 minutes. He was professional, pleasant and competent. Tested the drain as he ran the snake to assure finding real clog. Ran the snake all the way to the junction with the main line. Very impressive.

Total bill = $88. We have been charged more in the past for much less service.

Cannot recommend these guys highly enough. If you've got a drain problem, they are ONLY people to call.

These guys are awesome. I had a pretty strange problem that had stumped a different company (who wanted over $7000 to hydrojet and re-line the main line when in fact, that was not the cause of the blockage). In short, Michael came out and snaked the main line and eliminated one source of problems (the $7000 one). He was so helpful and tried really hard to solve the second, more complex problem. That same afternoon, Jeff came out with a camera and spent two hours trying to find the blockage. Eventually, he was joined by Dan and together they determined that there an unusual setup for the drain on a bathroom added during a remodel. It was a bear.
All three of these guys were extremely professional and I highly recommend them. They were also patient, very upfront about the fees schedule and explained every thing very clearly.  

TLDR; I would recommend them in a heartbeat. They know their stuff and they don't give up.

Our condo building had a sewer line blockage so raw sewage was spewing out from the building and onto the sidewalk and boardwalk at the beach.  So it was urgent that the issue get resolved ASAP.  It was also a Sunday and the Bolts were playing at home so I wasn't sure how quickly someone could come out.

I called their #, got the answering service, and got a call back in 15.  The guy that was on call that day, Dan, said he had a couple of calls in front of me and it would be 3 hours.  He showed up in a little under 3 hours as promised (and called on his way), fixed the problem, educated me (in a non-condescending way) about sewer drains, and was out of there in an hour.  All that on a Sunday after 5 p.m. for $162.  They carry around an itemized price sheet with them so there's no funny business.  And if that same drain clogs up within 30 days they'll come back out and unclog it for free.  They only do drains, no other plumbing, and they're on call 24/7.  

I had previously used Affordable on my shower drain and had the same great experience.  This experience was just the icing (poo icing, nasty!) on the cake.  Definitely call these guys before Bill Howe Plumbing, you won't get ripped off.

Amazing service - true to their name.  Jeffrey came out on Superbowl Sunday within a couple hours after my call and fixed a nasty clog in the main sewer line of the house at a very reasonable price, especially in comparison to some of the other quotes I was getting!

These guys are great. I had a main line blockage with roots. They came out within an hour and snaked the roots with a cutting blade and had be back to normal quickly. I had already pulled my toilet and laid down drop cloths to make things quick and easy for them and they were both appreciative and gave me a small price break for doing some of the prep myself. If I ever have a drain issue again, they are my first call.

I have an old home and have slow drain problems once or two a year (at a minimum).  I have used Affordable Drain numerous times and am always happy. They are quick to respond and very reasonably priced.  They also have a guarantee on drain work (I think it is 30 days)

Called yesterday and they came and cleared a drain that Rescue Rooter came out twice to fix.  Their solution was to rip up my floors, excavate and fix a pipe that was totally blocked. I had my cousin, who's a plumber, come out and take a second look.  He suggested getting someone who only does drains. A yelp search led me to Affordable Drain Service.  They were here the following morning, right at the scheduled time.  Where Rescue Rooter said they couldn't get the snake through, Ryan got literally TWICE as far.  Clog schmog! in his words- you don't put a baseball player on a football team. We definitely found the right people to do the right job with Affordable Drain Service.

I had a plugged main line at 2100 hours on a Thursday night and I yelped plumber and found Affordable Drain Service.  I called their phone line and a message service answered and asked if I needed to talk to a technician.  I said yes, and about 15 mins later I was called by one of their technicians named Carlin, and he was able to give me a quote on the phone...Awesome!

I requested immediate after hours service to ensure my family of five could bath for work/school, and to relieve my anxiety.  Carlin arrived within 30 mins of the call and cleared to main line clog in record time, but still ran the snake down two more clean outs to ensure the drain was clear all the way to the city sewer line.

I strongly recommend Affordable Drain Service and want to highlight the professionalism of Carlin Scott.  Thanks for a job well done...Now I can sleep.

Not affordable at all. Wanted 170 for a job that normally costs us 80. Responsive and polite but just way too pricey for a 10 minute job. Should rename company because affordable is false advertising. Maybe La Jolla Plumbing or something like that.

Nobody said you were there for me personally just because I rent the place doesn't give anybody the right to not act professional just because im a renter. Your there to do a job regardless whos occupying the place.Unless you heard the actual conversation and know how she was addressing me you really cant comment  and say shes been nothing but polite and professional with me because she hasnt.. She laughed and interrupted me when I tried to explain and ask my questions. What kind of customer service is that. and on top of that You did not call me or I would of called you back right away.

At this point, I have no need for further correspondence with you as I have been dealing directly with State Farm.  My only other correspondence with you will be if State Farm chooses to validate the sewer line information.  Otherwise I will not entertain any other correspondence with you.

I CAN'T SAY ENOUGH GOOD THINGS ABOUT THIS COMPANY!

ONE OF THE BEST CONSUMER EXPERIENCES I'VE EVER HAD.

Long story short(ish): We woke up Tuesday morning to sewage in the bathtub, shower pan, toilets and sink. (think aroma therapy in reverse). I called three different plumbers/drain companies and finally got one to show up and work for three hours but not clear the problem. Later that same day, I called Affordable Drain Service and their guy Alan showed up on time, was polite and went about his work. He then helped explain what was going on with our main sewer line, that it was still blocked and why we'd need to have our pipe camera inspected and possibly hydro-jetted in order to clear it. At this point, I'm getting frustrated (spent all day and over a hundred bucks and still needed to get a hotel for the night), but Alan assures me that it's the right thing to do.

The next morning, I spoke to Dan at Affordable Drain to discuss my concern about spending even more money and possibly not fixing the problem. He was calm and reasonable as he explained their position and that helped keep me calm and reasonable. With everyone being calm and reasonable, Dan sent Billy out to do the inspection and then advise me of the situation. It was bad news as the camera inspection revealed that there was most likely a broken pipe (dirt and roots were clogging the line too much to be conclusive) and it looked like the problem could be my problem and I'd need to dig up the bad pipe and replace it myself (to the tune of thousands of dollars).

Now I am bummed. But Billy goes the extra mile: following his professional intuition, he contacts our city water utility and relates this issue to them (can't imagine the other three companies doing that!) and that whatever the blockage/breakdown was, it was close to where our line meets the city's. They have a Supervisor and crew at my house in 15 minutes to inspect the connection from our house to the city's main line. They discover/confirm that its their responsibility and they'd have a crew to my house in the morning to fix the problem at no further cost to me! I should even get reimbursed for my related out of pocket expenses! When I thanked the water utility rep for coming out so fast, he mentioned it was because they work with Affordable Drain Service often and can rely on their professional opinion to be accurate.

That's when I realized how fortunate I was to have called Affordable Drain Service. At each level of contact with their company, I received everything that was promised and more. Alan, Dan and Billy all went above the normal call of duty to see my project through to the eventual happy ending. A service attitude like that is the best you can ask for!

I don't ever want to need a drain service again, but if I do (or if anyone I know does) it'll be Affordable Drain Service for sure!

I called Affordable Drain to clear the blockage in our kitchen sink. Richard was her within 2 hours of our call. He called ahead and was right on time. 20 minutes later the drain was clear and Richard had cleaned up and packed up. Great service. Richard was very friendly.

THESE GUYS ARE AWESOME!!!

First and foremost, KEVIN is the man.  I needed them to come close to a certain time in the 4 hour window they provide, and he was there RIGHT on time!!

Not only was he super nice and gave me plenty of good info about keeping my drains clean, he got the job don pretty quickly (mind you, this was a tough job, since I'm on the third story of a condo, so all the pipes below me are connected, making it so that I have to coordinate with my downstairs neighbors).

He was VERY professional, and the quote they give for an emergency service is still WAYYY cheaper than anyone else!

GREAT work, GREAT customer service, and SUPER affordable.  Will call them if I ever need anything!

Don't you hate it when you call a plumbing company and they say we will be right out with a free estimate and you know they're going to charge you a fortune? This is not that plumbing company. I called and left a message with the answering service; a beautiful voice called me back first thing the next morning, gave me a direct quote.  I knew exactly how much I was going to pay  and she sent the team out that day to take care of my problem ...the service team was on time, friendly, helpful and so thorough they actually saved me  quite a bit of money; instead of paying $200 I paid $88 for two drains, and I couldn't be more pleased ...thank you Ryan K for great service .

I was referred to them this week by a local plumber. They came out on Tuesday when our toilets were backed up. I was honest with them and told them we've had many problems and need to replace the main line pipes but couldn't afford it right so we just wanted it snaked out. They came and were there for a not even an hour and told me they were able to unclog the line and we should be good to go for a while. Two days later they were backing up again and I called them. I was told pretty much, oh well, my problem and I would have to pay again to have them come back out to look at it again. I explained it had only been two days and they didn't care and didn't want to listen. I told them I understand our lines have problems but it wasn't even two days. The last people who came out and unclogged our toilets, their work lasted 5 mos. I will never use them again and I am calling our local plumber to let them know not to refer them to anyone. Very unprofessional and they do not guarantee their work.

UPDATE/RESPONSE TO MGR. Daniel's comments/lies:  This manger is absolutely lying and making false statements. I NEVER said their original work was in good working condition. The whole and ONLY reason I called them again was because my toilets were backing up again after being snaked out by them only 2 days ago.

I NEVER told them I was worried my pipes were going to break, that is completely false. I was told by the person who came to my house that my tub was draining slow and he offered to snake that too for an additoinal cost. I told him it has always drained slow, it's an old house but I tried to get a hold of my husband to ask him what to do but I couldn't so I told him not right now I will wait.

When I called them this morning to tell them our toilets were still backed up I was advised they would come out again but it would cost me again. When I explained it was just 2 days ago they came out and their work didn't even last a week, I was told by Brian to take out the piece of paper I signed, look at my signature block and he emphasized how the box was checked that they WOULD NOT guarentee their work. I WAS NOT OFFERED a discounted price for them to come back out. THEY DID NOT TRY TO WORK WITH ME. It is a complete lie on the manager's part or his employees are lying to him.

THEY DID NOT MAKE SERVICE PLUMBER RECOMMENDATIONS. That is a complete lie too. I don't know if they think it is ok to lie on these reviews, BUT THIS IS NO WAY TO RUN A BUSINESS. The dispatch manager was rude, not helpful and was sarcastic with me when he told me to take out the piece of paper with the box checked saying they WON'T guarantee their work and for me to look at my signature. That is how I was treated! No respect, NOT helpful or sympathetic, just plain rude, sarcastic and disrepectful!

Honesty is hard to come by these days! Tried to clear the shower drain ourselves and got the snake stuck ten feet down. Brilliant, right? After having my skilled friends/family try to help, we were resigned to call the professionals and were expecting a costly renovation. Kevin at Affordable Drain is amazing! He was able to get it out with his magic and our bill was down to a small service call fee. Skip the others and know you are getting highly skilled plumbers with integrity!

After having used them in the past, I called Affordable after noticing toilet paper coming out of an outside drain (bad sign, right). I was given a same day 2-hour window and Rob H. showed up within an hour. He was courteous, empathetic, and professional.  Went down past 100 feet and solved our issue quickly. We hope we don't need this service again in the near future, but if we do, we will call Affordable!

We had a crazy clogged kitchen sink. After plunging and snaking to no avail, we knew this job was too big for us. We called a local plumber and he actually referred us to affordable drain. It was a Sunday and they answered right away, and a plumber arrived in 30 min. We paid a little more for weekend service, but we love to cook and use our sink a lot so it was worth it. Had a downstairs toilet gushing water from the shower upstairs!  Called Affordable and they sent Ryan out ASAP.  Excellent service- right on time and he called to say he was on the way.  The main sewer line was clogged with tree roots. Ryan did an excellent job and my drain is clear and working perfectly now.  I will recommend them to all!  Thank  you and the price was great too!

We have had problems with our washing machine flooding ever since we did some remodeling. 3 different plumbers were unable to fix the problem,Michael was determined to find the cause.Not only did he find it, fix it  he was professional and worked quickly! Excellent, prompt service! Had clogged kitchen/laundry drain and thought I needed hydrojetting as I have CIPP lined main line to street main sewer line. Techs explained that I probably only needed to snake it with the cable to the main line and that proved to be the case. Saved me a lot of time and money. They were there within 2 hours of my initial call and were friendly and courteous. Definitely would use them again. Also, receptionist was cheerful and friendly on the phone, always a plus.

We have a restaurant and Affordable Drain has done a great job helping us keep our plumbing in goo d shape at reasonable prices.  And...when you really need them they are there to assist.  Drain clog last night could have shut down our operations.  They were there in less than 1/2 hour and the rates on a Friday Night were very reasonable!  Kevin is fast and does a great job.  Dan Diegos gives them 5 stars !!!

I called Affordable in the morning and they gave me an appointment around noon. They were going to run a little late so they called to let me know it would be a half hour late, which was nice to know. Then Nick, the tech coming out, called about 15 minutes before getting to my house. So good communications.

Nick and his partner were very professional and made sure they didn't damage my flagstone patio with the equipment. They also made sure it was clean after finishing the work.

I/they started with a router, and that cleared the drain pipe. But Nick asked if I wanted a video of pipe; indicating that there should have been a clean-out closer to the street and that the camera system could pin-point where it was. Using the camera we identified the location of the clean-out. I will have to wait to dig down to it since it is under some landscaping that I don't want to disturb. The camera sends out a signal that a hand held detector zero's in on. Pretty cool.

Nick then took the camera down to the location of the blockage and it was roots, and the router had cut a nice 2 inch hole through it. Since it was just past a corner the router would always hit the same spot and not get the rest of the roots. I then upgraded the work to use the Jet high pressure water cleaner. Using the camera and the Jet, Nick made sure that all the roots were cut off inside the pipe. Having the camera show the video of the problem spot makes all the difference!  I highly recommend it, and I got to keep a copy of the video on a USB stick to show my wife.

I am very glad I called Affordable. I would never have been able to clear out the roots with a rental router, nor know about the other clean-out location.

I will definitely call them again.

Really terrific, prompt service.  I called in the morning and was scheduled for same day service.  After clearing the back up on one side of the house, the problem shifted to the other side, and they had to do more work than anticipated, which was no problem for them.  They used a camera and jetted the line, clearing out a large backup caused by tree roots.  This should take care of my problem for years to come, but if/when it comes back, I know who to call!   Outstanding service from this quality company.

the issue. He offered me a partial refund,  and my final charge is $88.  I appreciate them trying to resolved the issue and edit rating to 3 stars but considering all the time and hassles I went through, my experience cannot be rated more than 2 stars.

Was referred to Affordable Drain by another plumber. Both of my bathrooms had backed up drains. I called them and they came within a couple of hours. Snaked the main light and took care of the clogs. I would highly recommend them.

Let me add my glowing review to the batch here.  I'd spent more than an hour last night trying to open our laundry drain with a little hand snake, thinking I could get the hairball or whatever was blocking it, but no joy.   I was happy when I called this morning and was able to get an appointment for only hours later.  

It was duuuuuummmmppping rain this afternoon, so Rob was a little water-logged when he arrived, but it never affected his attitude.  Seriously, what a positive person - I hope Affordable knows that they're lucky to have him.  He treated my house like it was his own while quickly fixing the problem.  

We've used Affordable Drain in the past, and I expect to again.  There's no drama - just good attitude and results.

We had a plumbing issue that happened, of course, on a Saturday late afternoon.  We tried to call 7 different plumbers and no response or call back.  Affordable answered the phone and had a great plumber, Kevin out to our place within a few hours.  The price was reasonable and the service was great.  They are truly a 24/7 plumbing company.  I would use them again!

Called them again, day after Christmas.  Clog was just past the kitchen sink but the guy ran 65' of snake down the drain just in case.  Now the kitchen sink drains so fast it makes a suction sound.  Can't imagine a better use of $88.
