ABOUT BUSINESS OWNER
Ron Degner began working for small, independently owned plumbing companies right out of high school in 1994. He attended a four-year trade school during his plumbing apprentice period, and after completing the apprenticeship he passed the City of Cincinnati Journeyman exam.
As a journeyman plumber Ron continued working with small plumbing companies. In 2006 he joined a national plumbing chain as a field manager. After one year on the job he was promoted to general manager of a branch, a role he held for seven years before purchasing a national franchise location in 2015.
In 2015 Ron started a new phase in his career when he bought Affordable Plumbing, Rooter and Water Heaters. The company continues to stay dedicated to providing our customers with top-notch service at reasonable prices. With Ron's experience working for both independent and national chain plumbing companies, he is able to apply the best of both worlds to Affordable Plumbing, Rooter and Water Heaters.

Zest did the right thing by coming out and giving us service that we needed. I recommend them 100%.
I called yesterday and I had a new garbage disposal today. Len was so nice and very professional. The whole processes took 30 minutes. I will definitely use Zest Plumbing again.
We recently added a new guest room to our home and decided after construction that we wanted to also add a new sink to the room. The problem was that we needed the drain and water lines to be ran to the room. We called Zest and our plumber, Paris, came to our home and did an outstanding job. Paris is very knowledgeable and professional. He was able to put a new drain at the location by connecting to the existing drain inside of the wall and he ran new water lines for the faucet. Paris did a great job of explaining exactly what he will be doing before he got started and cleaned up his work area prior to leaving. We are very pleased with the result and we now have a new sink in a room that previously did not have a sink. We are impressed with Zest!
I love that they will come and give you an estimate and allow you to decide if you want the service without the risk of having to pay a show up fee.
And still, I have never turned them down. They are my new go to since we canceled our home warranty contract. I love having a choice of who works in my home.
They even take time to teach me things that I can do on my own.
This company has got the best people in the biz , my first phone call told me all I needed to know , they were caring, honest and genuine as I have ever dealt with . Promptly gave me a next day appointment , technician Brandon was right on time , friendly , professional and knowledgeable . He got to the root of my broke pipe problem , not only that he knew I needed it fixed due to my pool pumps being down due to breakage . He gave me several options , not once trying to upsell or pad the bill , he knew the problem and how to fix within 2 minutes , not an exaggeration . He fixed the whole issue extremely fast less than 15 minutes , the value and quality of tHe job was truly amazing . I know from having situations like this , it is hard , if not impossible to find an honest company to help you . Tyler came out two times to fix two separate issues and I was really happy with the customer service and job he did! He was very professional and educated me on different options to fix the issues depending on my budget.
He was very thorough & although he couldn't fix the taps he told me which manufacturer to call to order the parts which would be required.
Zest Plumbing installed a new freestanding island bathtub in my house, which included new hot and cold water lines in the walls and a new underground drain line. Richard was extremely professional throughout the job, communicated clearly what is involved and what I can expect, and consulted with me for every design decision along the way. The installation turned out to be very precise, better than I hoped for and very beautiful.
Richard also installed a pet wash in my garage for washing my dogs. This also turned out extremely well.
Highly recommend and would definitely use again!
This makes 4th time I have used this companies service. I cant recommend them enough. Great people, great service, great company!
Very responsive. Very nice over on initial call. Quick service and friendly. We had a clogged pipe over the weekend and they were able to show up in a couple hours and get things back up and running. Will always use Zest going forward
This is an edit of my prior 1 star review which I have now deleted. Without going into all the details of my issue, I got a phone call from Ron the owner of Zest plumbing to humbly apologize for my experience with his company. Without making excuses he acknowledged there was a terrible mistake made on their part and he would address the situation internally to ensure that never happens again. His personal response to me was surprising and changes my view toward Zest plumbing. Poor customer service is commonplace these days so I can't say how pleased I was with his personal response. I will be sure to use Zest plumbing in the future.
We had the best experience with this company and especially with the plumber Cesar He stuck with the job my bathroom plumbing was a huge mess with really old pipes. He did a great job!!
I have used Zest to do a number of things around the house like my hot water tank, toilet installs, water pressure regulator, hose bibs and washing machine valves. I keep using them because every technician has been friendly, on time, and super knowledgeable! Stephen was so helpful and courteous! This is a reliable company that I will continue to use for all my future plumbing needs!
Cesear from Zest plumbing has come out 2 times and is so wonderful! The first time he came to replace our water heater that busted. He worked so hard and he was so full of knowledge. We had a leak from a separate issue this week ans came out again and worked hard until 8 pm last night and installed a water softner for us! He is fantastic!!! We will always use Zest because of Cesear! Also the front staff who answers the phone is always pleasant and happy! Great Company!
Had to have the washer drain line cleared out and their technician Parris was very pleasant, prompt and quite through. It's an old drain line so he encountered some issues but was able to fix it quickly with a smile on his face. I'm the renter and I feel that the costs were very acceptable. Don't hesitate to call them!

Len from affordable plumbing was awesome! He came on time and was very helpful. I needed a gas line shut off handle replaced. He quickly identified the broken area and explained what needed to be fixed. He had a very competitive and reasonable quote to repair the issues. Within a hour the job was complete! I highly recommend affordable plumbing. Ask for Len too...he is very professional and knowledgeable.

Not only did Affordable Plumbing have great customer service in general, but Curtis came out to our home yesterday to fix a possible leak and was very punctual, helpful, and efficient. He discovered the source of the leak was different than we initially thought (less serious) and he offered great advice and assistance. Will definitely be using affordable plumbing in the future.
Richard- provided outstanding service! my tenant felt safe and was so pleased with the customer service. Very polite and respectful, companies and workers like these are hard to find.
Feel very comfortable with these folks so far . Only two services so far through home warranty but like speed and friendliness. All work has been excellent - looking to change out water heater before trouble strikes and add R/O and water softener to home next possibly w these folks as well.
