Treewise

Howard and Treewise are awesome. Had them do three mexican palms, one of which had been badly neglected. Pricing is great and the work is exceptional. I trimmed two small trees a few days before they came and hadn't picked up all the mess since my trash was full. Treewise practically picked up every scrap in my whole back and front yard as well as picked up my junk, which was not expected at all. Wow, is all I can say, great guy and great company.

Treewise is the way to go.  I am from NY but have a condo here in the Scottsdale area.  Called Treewise and spoke to Jerry on Thursday and he came out Friday to give me a free estimate.  When he came out and gave the estimate he said he would be able to make an appointment for me this week on Tuesday.  Problem is I really needed this tree down ASAP and was scheduled to head back to NY on Tuesday.  Jerry managed to squeeze me in for today, Monday.

Well here we are today and I am happy to say, Jerrys team came out here earlier than expected which was awesome.  They came in and were all business.  The tree was cut down and the stump grinded.  They even cleaned up my palm tree as a bonus.  The whole process took less than 20 minutes.  I am amazed to think that one minute I had this tree that was almost choking out the palm tree and 20 minutes later not only does the area look like there was never a tree there, but the area is cleaner than it was prior to the work.

All in all, I am extremely happy with the work done.  I honestly was skeptical as anyone would be when doing business with a new company but thankfully, Jerry and team were prompt in returning calls and very professional.  I wish I could get these guys to come to NY to do some work for me there.  How about it Jerry?  LOL

I highly recommend Treewise as I can not see myself ever using anyone else after this great experience.  Call them and you won't be disappointed.

My neighbor was getting his palm trees trimmed and I needed the same so I walked next door and saw a logo'd truck and multiple workers with matching uniforms.  I thought whoops... Looks pricier than usual but, I decided to inquire anyway.  The owner (Howard) who also climbs the trees is a professional, college educated, businessman who not only had himself and crew do the best job I have experienced, he also provided tips on tree care.  The clean-up after the job was great.  GUESS WHAT?  It was also less expensive.  I highly recommend Treewise and will become a repeat customer.  Also, it's fun to watch Howard swing from tree to tree like Tarzan.

I found Treewise in my neighborhood while taking my daughter for a walk. I asked if they would give me a quote to trim my palms. Howard and his staff came by my house and was able to trim all my trees right on the spot and gave me a competitive deal. He was very professional, my trees look great and everything was cleaned all within an hour.  Howard also trimmed the palms at my dad's house in Mesa, and they look great!  I will definitely be using them again and will refer Treewise to my friends and family!

I just had Tree Wise come and trim a neighbors tree the was causing me many problems in my back yard. I talked through each line item with the owner, Howard, who explained what needed to be done.  He came and completed the work we agreed to a couple days later. He actually cleaned up some dead bushes we had talked about and I did not want to pay for there removal, but he did it for free!  The yard was very clean, the tree looked great and he showed up when we agreed. His prices are very reasonable, they were the lowest quote I had, plus the work was great.  I can't say enough good things about Howard's work!  Highly recommend them and will be using them again.

Howard came by today and removed a large willow from our back yard and brought new life into the two live oaks we had out front. From start to finish he is a true professional. His prices are fair and the quality of work was top notch. He took great care in making sure I was happy and my yard looked as good or better than the way he found it. I highly recommend him for all your tree care needs!

A friend referred Howard and Treewise for some tree trimming. I was hesitant because I knew that calling a real arborist would cost me more than calling one of the local landscapers. I was pleasantly surprised that a professional was affordable. I didn't even have to be home for him to drive by and get me an estimate. We agreed on a price and scheduled the job. When Howard and his team showed up, he told me what he planned on doing and what was best for my trees' health. It's obvious that Howard knows trees and cares. I appreciated his knowledge.

I've hired Treewise twice now and both times have been very impressed with their work and professionalism. I called Howard after I received an outrageous quote for tree trimming services from a landscaper.  Treewise came in at half the cost and did a fantastic job. Howard is also very prompt and responsive. Both times he was able to come the same day I called, which exceeded my expectations. I also appreciate that he seems to really understand trees and what they need to keep them healthy. I would definitely recommend Treewise!

Once Howard and I set up the the appointment time and date everything was very smooth. His team showed up early, they did a great job and cleaned up better then before they got there. In short they did a great job. Thanks Howard, I know it was tough getting set up but well worth it for me.

Great experience!  After calling several companies and waiting several days for them to get back to me, Jerry was a breath of fresh air.  He answered on the first call and had me scheduled for an estimate within a few days.  On the day of the estimate, Jerry showed up 10 minutes early.  He was very detailed and thorough in his estimate.  I was scheduled a week later.  The crew showed up 30 minutes early and got to work right away.  They did a great job cleaning up after themselves.  Overall, I am very pleased and I would not hesitate to use them in the future.

I was looking for a new tree service.  After reading all the great reviews about Treewise, I gave them a call.  I was very impressed with Howard.  He has a great deal of knowledge regarding the trees and foliage in our yard.  He also has  great customer service!  They came out and did a wonderful job taking care of all the needs of the yard.
After just a couple of weeks of having them work, we went out of the country for  vacation.  A monsoon hit and did some major damage to several trees in our yard.  I called Howard to see if they would go to the house and take care of it.  He was there within one day. Took pictures of all the damage and took care of everything!  Howard and his team did an amazing job cleaning up the yard.  I would definitely refer him to my family and friends!

I have a backyard full of three different kinds of palm trees and one African Sumac.  The palms were seeding out and I really needed them trimmed before my pool was destroyed.  I had called two other tree trimming companies first and tried calling another and I couldn't even get someone out to look at my trees for an estimate.  I was promised call-backs, and drop-by's and on an on but nothing.  Meanwhile my wife is on my butt about getting these palms trimmed that are dropping seeds in the pool daily.  Finally I call Treewise and everything is easy once again, just as it should be.  I'm super happy for the tree trimmers of the valley as business is obviously booming, but the better news is that by getting dissed by those others I ended up finding a real pro that killed it for a good price.   I came by when they were finishing up and Howard did a walk-through explaining everything they had done.  I mentioned that next year I need to ask for some Sumac clumps around the base of the tree that are sprouting up to be removed and Howard said not to worry about it and had his guys run back there to clear them out at no extra charge.

The owner seemed pleasant on the phone but never contacted me after I had called him twice and sent an email to request an estimate. I was hoping for the same great experiences that I read about in the other reviews. Unfortunately, that was not the case.

Very surprised by the positive reviews. I've had nothing but frustration with this company.  Called last week to try to schedule a time for them to come out and look at several trees in both the front and backyards.  Was told by the gal that answered that Howard would just drive by and look at them.  I explained to her a few different times that I had dogs in my backyard so I needed to be home to put the dogs away and let him in the backyard.  She takes all my information and finally said he would be here Saturday morning.  

Late Saturday afternoon, Howard calls wanting to drive by.  I AGAIN explain to him that I have dogs in the backyard and he can't just drive by and that by this point, I'm not home.  He, for the second time, takes all my information and agrees to schedule an appointment for Monday night between 6-6:30.  Monday night comes and I wait and I wait and I wait and nothing - he never comes by, he never calls - nothing.  

I call Tuesday morning and it's like Howard has no idea who I am.  I get the whole story about how he's so busy because of the storms etc....  I explained to him that I called last week - before the storms.  But, he just keeps saying he's so busy etc...  I asked him to please let me know if he's too busy to do the job.  He says he's not and AGAIN takes all my information but is unable to commit to any time to come by.  Says he'll call me later, maybe he can come sometime at the end of the week.  I explained to him that I really needed someone to look at these trees and if he's too busy, I'll just find someone else.  He was very unconcerned about the whole thing, just didn't seem all that interested in the work, kept telling me he's so busy and maybe he'll call later etc....  I finally just told him to forget it, I'll find someone else.

Howard proved his worth as an expert arborist. He came out to evaluate my giant mesquite tree within a day after inquiry. He took the time to explain the do's and don't of how to properly care for such a large tree. He pointed out a few trouble spots (thank goodness) and went over his game plan with how to thin out the tree while maintaining it's structure. His price was exceptional so I didn't hesitate. He came out two days later, SPOT ON time and had a 3 story size tree trimmed down within 2 hours. By the way - those trouble spots he was telling me about, that branch ended up collapsing, thank goodness I called him out or else it would have been on my car in the near future. Thanks a ton Howard - you can't go wrong with this guy.

I called Treewise to clean up my Southern Live Oak. They happened to be in my area that day so they stopped, gave me a reasonable and did an excellent job. Great service nice to do business with.

I had been looking for a tree service with proper training. After doing a bunch of searching for an arborist, I came across Treewise. I spoke to Howard and had him come out to give me an estimate. My trees were only a few years old but still needed some good work. Other arborists were quoting me ridiculous amounts before even coming out to look at the work. Howard however took the time to come out to take a look and gave me a very good quote that I was very happy about. He also did the work and my trees look awesome. Howard was great to work with and answered all of my questions along the way. Honestly i wouldn't look anywhere else for tree work from now on. Save yourself time and hassle and just call Howard.

Howard did an excellent job with my pygmy palm and ficus trees.  Everything was well thought out and planned.  The results are great and better than anything my normal landscape maintenance crew has ever done.

I called treewise to get a quote on getting my six foot tall Palm tree skinned. They were very nice and professional but let me know that they have a $200 minimum for palm skinning.  I can't comment on the quality of their work but keep in mind that you will need to spend at least $200 if you are considering this company for your palm tree skinning.

We had a very large acacia growing too close to the side of our house.  Got a more than fair price from Jerry and they scheduled to take it out in about a week.  Then, a huge monsoon storm hit and part of the tree broke off and was hanging dangerously between the entrance of our house and our neighbors. I contacted Jerry and he was able to move up the date to get rid of the tree 2 days later, even though they were very busy. When the crew came to remove it they were all friendly, quick, and professional. All promises that were made were kept.  Great service!

Called them for a bid.  A machine answered and I left a message.  They never returned the call.  I called twice more and their phone system (I guess) disconnected my call both times.  Not too professional not returning calls.  I'm probably lucky they didn't.  Ended up going with Hayward with whom I was happy.

Howard and his crew did a great job for us.  His price was good as was his attention to detail and his efforts to make sure we were happy. We are fussy about our privacy. Howard went to great lengths to ensure our trees were trimmed properly and still retained our privacy.  His team did a great job of cleaning up everything afterwards. We will definitely use him again and recommend that you use him, too.

Howard and his employee were excellent. I called at 628AM and he called me back at 630! I had a huge mesquite fall in to my yard and road during the Monsoon storm, and they were here 1.5 hours after I called. They were quick and efficient and cleaned up the whole area so well it didnt look like work was done at all!(minus the large tree they hauled away!) Im always happy to support a small, local business and I highly recommend that you call Treewise next time you have a need for their services!

Excellent experience. I contacted Howard for a quote to trim our two tall Mexican Fan Palms. Being new to AZ, we didn't have much experience with palm trees, and had many cards through the door and people knocking for work, but I knew that I didn't want someone climbing a 40ft tree on my property without experience and insurance!
I was pleased to find Treewise, a local, family owned company with a professional arborist, since I knew they would care for our trees and trim to ISA standards. Howard quoted a very reasonable price, was fast to respond and came out quickly to do the work.
He and his assistant were polite, fast and worked very safely. I wanted to watch and he was very accommodating. They cleaned up after themselves thoroughly.
We have additional (non-palm) trees that we will definitely use Treewise for shaping up later in the year. He also gave me advice on care for our Jacaranda tree.

Howard and his team did a beautiful job on the huge ash tree in my front yard.  Howard did all the trimming himself and his crew assisted him with tools, cleanup, and safety.  Price was reasonable for the thoroughness of the job.  I was impressed with the entire experience and my tree is beautiful!  I'll gladly recommend Treewise to anyone!

I love Yelp, I searched for tree trimming and discovered Treewise, I called at 3:30 ish and Howard answered, he was prompt and sounded busy with appointments however showed up at my house @ 4:30 an hour later, we discussed the several trees that needed attention, he was back at my house the next morning and did a fantastic job! Now we even know what kind of trees we have, 1 is a greek mastic that I had no idea the historic values of and even using the sap for chewing gum! I know right... Left a message when no one answered the phone. Filled out an estimate request on their website for good measure. Never heard back from them. I guess they don't need any business.

Our condo association needed quite a bit of help getting the trees under control. Our pool was being plugged by flowers and leaves dropped from Sweet Acacias and our pool and spa areas were a mess! Additionally, we had quite a few trees with dead branches and overgrown ones scraping the buildings during any wind blowing. Howard walked the property with me and advised how to best trim the trees to keep the landscaping appearance attractive. Once we agreed to a price and time (extremely reasonable!) he showed up on time with his team and spent a few hours getting the job done. This is the best this condo tree landscape has looked in the 12 years I have been in Fountain Hills. Thank you Howard! We will be calling again next time we need tree trimming.

I've used Treewise twice now. The first time was to do the annual prune of all the trees on my property. They were half the cost of the two other companies I called and you could tell Nathan really knew a lot about trees and wasn't out to sell me unnecessary work like the other two companies. When Howard and Jake came out, they did a very professional job and cleaned up perfectly. They then were happy to spend 15-20 minutes just chatting with me about tree care - things I could do myself, not things they were trying to sell me on! The second time Treewise came out was the remove a falling tree. They again did an excellent job - you can't even tell a tree used to be there. And again, they were happy to spend the extra time giving me advice of what type of tree to plant in its place, regardless of whether I was going to hire them to do the planting. You can really tell what quality arborists they are just by talking to them!

Howard at Tree Wise arrived on time, explained exactly what work was going to be done and charged me exactly what was quoted. I had several queen palms, one large Mexican Palm and 2 sissoo trees that were very messy. Howard takes pride in his work and it shows - I asked him to leave the branches at the front since our bulk trash pick up was in a couple of days but he opted to haul all the stuff away because he wanted it to look great as soon as he left. He also spent time after the work was done making sure I liked everything he had done. Speaking of going above and beyond, he told me about how to fertilize my trees and mini palms. I am grateful for the good work.

Howard was awesome!  We hired him to take out three of our nightmare tippu trees and then trim our other trees (sissoo, ash and australian bottle neck).  What a difference.  He explained everything that he was going to do, gave us a very fair price, and followed through on everything he promised, while checking in with me the entire time.  Since we do not currently live at the property, he made it very convenient for me  by doing everything over the phone.  I wound up having to go to the property while he was working.  What a nice guy!  When I checked the completion of his work, he left the property extremely clean!  You couldn't even tell that 3 trees had been cut down, besides the trees being gone of course.  I will recommend him to anyone that is in need of tree service and will be using him to maintain our trees in the future.  Thank you Howard for a great experience!  You do good work!

Excellent!!! That's all I can say about the customer service that Jose provided, he answered my call and was repairing my irrigation system in less than 24 hour at a reasonable price!!! I would highly recommend him without any doubt!!

OMG, Jose the owner is so awesome and knowledgeable. He came our to our home shortly after I called him and analyzed our old drip system and schooled me on desert landscaping.

Jose, the owner of C & A Landscapes responded to my quote quickly and was in contact via text. For my yard clean-up, he had to give and estimate and he told me that he was in the area. When, he came, he gave me 3 prices for different levels of cleaning; it was $95.00, which I thought was a decent price for the amount of work needed. And, he fixed a big leak in my drip system line for $45.00.

He scheduled it for 3 days out and told me that his crew would be out here at 8:00AM. Well, on the day of the work, I looked out the window and I saw Jose. When, I asked what happened to the crew, he told me that they were on another job that took longer than expected and he didn't want to have to reschedule me because of that. So, he did it himself. 8)

I recently moved into my house and found C & A on yelp...  had to give them a call because of the good reviews. My backyard looked like Jurassic Park... Jose did an excellent job trimming, mowing, and cleaning up my front and backyard! He was quick to respond and meet me for a consultation. Jose is very knowledgeable and was patient and thorough with all of the questions I had! He showed up on the day promised, quoted me fair pricing, invoiced me exactly what he quoted. Great guy, great company. I had a question about a cactus, and instead of charging me to conf out and look/talk about it, he asked for my phone number and explained a lot of stuff to me regarding my cactus issue. Then we went on to talk about gardening! I am from Oregon, and (love gardening) have no one around here to ask/talk about when to plant or not plant certain produce. He took a lot of his personal time to explain everything to me. I appreciated that so much!!

Jose just finished my Yard and it brought tears to my eyes how beautiful it came out, he was very professional and well knowledged. He answered all my questions and got it done in a timely manner and very well priced. I am glad we went with him, he exceeded our expectations!

Carlos was an absolute dream to work with, my HOA came down hard on some of my palm trees looking rough so I needed someone fast. After sending C & A Landscapes an email with some pictures, I received a response within 1 hour with a quote and he was available first thing the next morning! They got the work done quickly and efficiently, exceeding any and all expectations I had.

There is no doubt in my mind that I will be calling upon him again in the near future to clean up some shrubs and do some minor irrigation repairs.

I reached out to Jose about a month ago based on reviews from Yelp.  It took a couple messages but he got back to me and we were able to work out a deal for him to come out and clean up my front and back yard. I also had him plant some flowers.  He came out the following week and did a wonderful job.

About a week later I notice some standing water in my back yard and asked him to come out to take a look. I sent pictures and tried to reach him via txt message. It has been two weeks and I still can't get ahold of him. Not returning voicemails or txt messages. Now I'm stuck with a $400 water bill and having to find another landscaper to come in and fix what he broke.

I gave him two stars because his prices were reasonable and he did a nice job cleaning up my yard.

Update:
My timer settings did not change until after your visit when I noticed my yard was flooding.  What did you expect me to do? Leave the system running while I wait for you to respond.  Also, you managed to destroy 2 sprinkler heads in my backyard as well.  I found pieces of them amongst the yard clippings that you also left.  

I called you and texted you asking about the flooding and to settle our debt and setup the bi-weekly service.  Since you chose not to respond I wrote a message on Yelp. That got your attention because you responded within 24hrs.  Then you blame the lack of communication on not receiving the text messages. But you remember the conversation about money owed.  To bad, since the money and flooding messages were in the same text.  

I'll pay you the $75 I owe you.  I cannot recommend your services as I have to pay another service to come out and fix my irrigation system that you broke and replace the plants that are dying because of it.  Plus the $400 water bill.

We had a giant beautiful tree in our yard that suddenly died due to a disease. I got a few quotes to figure out how to handle removing it. Jose responded to my message on Yelp within hours, scheduled a time and date to come out, and was the only business who actually showed up at the time he promised. He helped us understand how the tree died and even talked with us about caring for other trees in our yard.

Jose and his crew artfully removed our tree without causing damage to our yard or home, chopped the wood for firewood as we requested, and stacked it up neatly for us. They left the yard looking better than it looked to begin with. Scheduling and coordinating the work was very easy.

Jose is so knowledgeable about trees and plants and his passion for his work is obvious. We will definitely work with him to choose and plant a new tree, maintain our trees and bushes when needed, and upgrade our irrigation system in the future.

Overall it was a wonderful experience!

Jose got great reviews from my brother and his girlfriend.  Jose has worked on both of their landscapes.  And I saw all the good reviews on Yelp too.  

I called and Jose came over to review my jungle backyard and crazy front yard.   He gave me an estimate and it was very reasonable.  I am very pleased with the front/back yard.  I didn't ask him to spray weed killer but he did anyways.  And since it was slightly raining that day, he said to call him in two weeks and he can come back to spray again.

This is by far the best landscaping company I have ever had! Extremely professional very fair pricing and Jose absolutely cares about every job he works on which is rare these days. We removed grass in our backyard that we could never get to grow right from year to year and we talked to him and decided to replace it with rock and my backyard has never looked better and I can't wait to plant a beautiful desert landscape back there!! I had messaged for a price quote on some tree trimmings I needed done.  Carlos was quick to reply and to come out to see what I needed.  I could tell right away that he actually knew what he was talking about.  His price quote was not high but fair.  The work matched it.  He sat with me a few minutes to go over the other 4 trees in my yard and now to properly care for them.  I will definitely use him again for my trees.

I had an issue with a broken line in our irrigation system.  Called Jose and he came out the same day. I thought he was going to look at the problem and schedule a time to return but took care of the problem right away. He gave me some advice on my sprinkler system and  fertilizing the lawn. Will definitely be using his service in the near future.

I have yet to find an amazing landscaping company. This company is just too expensive. We were charged $50 just to have our weeds sprayed that would eventually die. That wasn't removal or anything. To get a pre emergent spray done- to prevent new weeds -would be $200 for the yard. The owner is very nice, but just too pricey in our opinion for the work being done.

These guys did an amazing job with front yard that needed some help. When I messaged them they answered back in a nice timely manner and we're even able to meet me in at my house to get a better idea of the job. I would truly recommend them for any landscaping needs, thank you again guys.

Apparently they have too much business to be taking on any more.  I requested an appointment to bid out my yard, Jose responded twice the final time asking for my address to schedule a time.  I replied with requested information and no further contact from him.  That was 6 days ago.  I'm guessing it just fell through the cracks but maybe if you are too busy to schedule appointments its time for some administrative assistance. Hopefully in the future you will be better about communication with new potential customers.

Jose the owner was on time. His services were fair and competitive, and most importantly he skill and knowledge of drip systems was on full display. He identified and fixed the problem quickly. I'm super happy to know I have a go to guy next time I have any irrigation issues.

We had a mesquite tree that was damaged in the  monsoon few days ago. A friend of mine recommended this company. He provided us the quote, and said will be back on Saturday morning. They arrived as promised, did a PHENOMENAL job, cleaned everything and left. My husband and I were not home, so we were more than pleasantly surprised when we came back. It was spotless. I will not only use their services again but recomend him to my friends. Not to mention, their services are really affordable.

Amazing job on trimming my trees. You can really tell they care for the plant and not just trimming. Makes me feel like my trees are really taken care of.

We had a problem with our sprinkler system on the day we were to close on the sale of our house.  Jose came within 10 minutes of my calling and was  able to fix the problems so we could go ahead the close on the house.  Thank you Jose, you are the best.

It seems like I have had a similar experience to another reviewer on here previously.

I recently hired Jose to come out and do regular maintenance/cleanup on our property. They did a decent job, and I was satisfied. I asked him about bi-weekly costs and obtained a price quote. I also advised him I would be calling him again for the next time. He didn't advise me that I would need to schedule anything super far in advance, and it wasn't needed the first two times I called him out previously.

The third time I tried to contact him for a normal service, he didn't respond until a day later advising me he was booked. He didn't offer any other times/dates when he could stop by, and his responses we very late or non existent (unless I followed up two or three times asking for a response). He honestly didn't seem very concerned with keeping my business, and toward the end of our conversations was flat out rude and unprofessional. I have included a snip-it from one of his last messages to me below:

-sorry you believe your needs are above everyone else's. Like I said I get booked fast.-

In conclusion, I understand this is a busy season. Being busy, however, does not justify this lack of responses/professionalism nor his rudeness.

They do a standard job for a standard price, but I wouldn't actually DEPEND on consistent service with this company.
