Tree Workers of Phoenix

BJ landscaping contracted out a team to do my whole yard landscaping. The price was a bit high and the service was mediocre. The team left weeds all over my yard, tried to upsell me on an irrigation system, and left within an hour of showing up. I called BJ's and asked them to come back to get the rest of the weeds and they said they would look into their schedule to resend a team.

I still haven't heard back and I don't expect to since they'll likely wait until the next month when they're scheduled to come back. Not a great operating model for running a business.

Zero stars .

We were told our work order was received and understood this morning . After waiting many hours - I called to check the status of the work order .

The front desk ( jisselle )  kept saying the wrong address . I corrected her 3 times . She places me on hold . Comes back and says the work order was completed yesterday.

She said she would call me back within 5 minutes.  I called back about 30 minutes later because she did not call back . She said Vin knows how to fix and he's on the line with his personal bank & can't be fully reached .  She said she can only text him because he's busy .

I waited 1.5 hours , and told her no one has called me .
Then was told they can't do the job .

I waited hours . I missed work . I was lied to . I wasted time .

I wouldn't trust this company . I'm sure their reviews are mostly from staff , friends & family .

If you are reading , keep searching . Very poor communication. You will find the right place somewhere else .

Came out next day on time. Were very thorough with the job. I would definitely recommend.

We had an issue initially, however, Ben was very very good about listening to the problem and responding quickly.  He is honest, caring, and understanding. Thank you Ben! I appreciate a honest, responsive business owner Who stands by his work!

I needed a tree removed from my patio. I had sent pictures, received a quote and was able to get on the schedule the next day. They have very reasonable pricing compared to other companies I got quotes from. They did a great job- very quick and efficient and cleaned up the branches/leaves. I would use them again!

I found BJ's Landscaping on Yelp. Initially, they did well. I had them come and take out two trees and then ongoing regular yard maintenance. The first few visits went well, but then things went downhill. They use weedkiller that wasn't killing the weeds. It was dyed blue so that I'd know they sprayed. The blue weedkiller didn't kill the weeds, but turned my yard blue. I asked that they not use blue weedkiller, since it wasn't doing the job anyway. They stopped, but then they didn't take care of the weeds. In the end, I had to call twice and have them come back because my yard had gotten out of control with weeds and they also hadn't done a requested tree trim that they quoted me on, but hadn't completed. After the second visit of not taking care of the weeds and not trimming the tree, they invoiced me for both. I called and said I would not be paying the invoice until the services were completed and they said that they'd check the schedule and get back to me. I've yet to hear from them. I gave it 4 days and then finally left a message with them telling them to take me off their schedule and we'd not be needing their services anymore. I also said that I'd pay for the last service performed (even though they left weeds everywhere) because they'd send people out twice, but that I'd not pay for the tree trim since it was not completed (or even started) I asked them to re-invoice me for just the service and I've not heard back. I won't be using them ever again.

Timely professional and take care of all my needs.
Highly recommend them. Especially like having them take my payments via a credit card so you don't have to worry about being home at time of service.

I think the four 5-Star reviews were submitted by family or friends because these guys can't get their act together. I submitted a request for a quote on Yelp 10/7. Spoke to one of their reps a day or so after and even sent them multiple photos so they could give me an estimate.
Never got a quote BUT they texted me a MONTH LATER wanting to know if I was still interested.

Then two weeks ago I got a call from them- TWICE- again asking if I was still interested- F*** NO! I had already hired someone else and he had already done the work. Told them to stop calling me.

The today 11/26 I get this via Yelp:
Hi, this is Mari. I see we weren't able to get you on the schedule for your past request. Are you looking for a quotation for a yard or tree service? Let me know and I'll be more than happy to assist.

WTF? Are they drinking the Weed Killer? They clearly have lost their minds.
And oh, BTW this is the SECOND time I have gone through this with them. My first encounter with them was July and same crap- no quote then calling me over a month later wanting to know if I am interested. At least that timne they did not keep contacting me.

I called BJ's Landscaping because I was having some issues with  some of my sprinklers constantly running. I also had a leak in one of the pipes in my backyard.  Bj's Landscaping was able to get someone to my house that afternoon to get me a quote.   Within 30 minutes I had the quote and they told me someone could come out the next day to get the repairs done.  Michael did such a great job repairing everything. He had to dig some holes but made sure they were filled back in and cleaned up the landscaping around where he was working.  He also went above and beyond by checking all of my sprinklers to make sure they were working properly (not just the ones I asked about).  He changed out the heads where needed, checked my drip lines on my trees and plants to ensure they were working as they should.  He even reprogrammed my timer box  because I was over watering my grass and trees. Who does not appreciate saving on their water bill?  Bj's is a top notch company and I really did appreciate the timeliness, attention to detail, and the customer service that I received.

Great service! They have done a professional job each week.
We have had them trim our palm trees and they did a good job.
Payment through the app is convenient, also the communication
through email and text has been great.

I hired BJ's to grind a stump in my front yard. They were very responsive, got me a quote and got the job done before other companies even got a quote to me. The guys came and were very professional. They cleaned up their mess and did a great job grinding the stump.

We love BJ's Landscaping!  They do a fantastic job keeping our yard looking great! They are reliable, pay attention to detail and are able to adjust to our specific yard needs. We highly recommend them!

We were able to discuss what I wanted beforehand, they showed up on time, and completed the project perfectly- right before my daughters wedding. Could not be more thankful!

I found BJ's Landscaping off of Yelp and decided to hire them. I'm only 2 sessions in and it has been excellent so far! Their staff is very responsive and understanding. I'm looking forward to continue my monthly yard maintenance with them! I would highly recommend.

Extremely responsive and great quality service! Was able to talk to Ben before hand and tell him what We was looking for and wanting. And we haven't had a complaint yet! They are very prompt and do a fantastic job. If you're in need of landscaping I would definitely recommend BJs Landscaping!

Had alot of other so-called companies come out. These guys were the best price with the best service. I could not ask for more. The only thing would add is a better way to get 'add-ons' like bush and tree trimming - or sprinkler maintenance

BJ's trimmed my bushes and made my yard look better than ever. Open communication the whole time and the guys showed up exactly on time.

Wow! Super happy with these guys!  Very responsive and my yard looks so much better. They noticed a large weed in my flower bed and pulled it before I could point it out. My pool looks better than before they came, they blew the debris into the skimmer or picked it up, I am not sure. I have had several landscape companies including highly rated ones. This one so far is the best!

We invited this company over for a quote. They gave us a window of time for the visit.  He was late and didn't call. When I called he stated he was on his way.  It took 5 days for the quote to come and it was triple the amount the other quotes were so we hired another company.

He came out very quickly to quote on  a job.  Price was excessively high at $300 in labor for a 45 minute type of job.  Get other quotes and you are likely to choose someone else as I did.

I always call This company for my lawn services. This time they took down two of my palm trees efficiently and timely! I was pleased with the outcome and how they cleaned up everything. I recommend their services, honest and affordable

We had a little miscommunication in the beginning. I recommend a sketch or drawing to help the crew with your design.

Our courtyard took 3 days and looks amazing. Just liked we envisioned but better. As they wrapped up the project they left our front yard better than it was when they got there. Swept and hosed our porch clean. Just a great all around experience. We highly recommend.
