Efficient, great clean up, I got a coupon in the mail for a discount so gave them a call. They were here the next day to give a quote. When I was ready to go ahead with the work. Once again they we're here the next day   I would highly recommend them my tree looks beautiful. Thank you Harris & sons

Please be advised that this is only with my dealing with this company. I had set a appointment for Saturday between 10-2. I passed on a 1000.00 job to be here for them. They never showed or called until 530pm in the evening with some bs excuse. Left a message for their office and of course no response, Called the office on Tuesday and some person by the name of Maria answered. She indicated she would call me back and let me know what time they would be out, again no call! I called again and was told they were busy and she did not call. I have never been associated with such an unorganized company. You can use the if you want but they will never work on any of my landscaping ever again.

Overall, the work performed was stellar and the price I paid is very competitive. I have upgraded my rating from 3 stars to 4 now that the work is done but I am still hot over the lack of communication.

My first review outlines my experience starting with the quote on Thursday 4/24 (that I wanted to accept for the Friday availability I was offered) to Monday 4/28 when they actually removed the trees but not the stumps.

The workers who removed the trees said someone else would be coming with the stump grinder but the stumps were still there when I got home from work on Monday; they were still there on Tuesday too. So I called Jeremy to see what was going on, and again I left a voicemail. Once again I was not given the courtesy of a call back. I decided to wait for someone to call me for payment so I could ask them to finish the job before I gave them my credit card info since I expected that would be the only way to get their attention. Money talks.

Finally, a week after the trees were removed (10 days after they originally said the job could be done), I came home on Monday 5/5 to a yard free of stumps! I was very impressed with the care they took to protect our vehicle and how well they cleaned up after themselves.

I got a call from accounts receivable (Jason?) the next morning and he said he had been notified the work was completed and he mentioned their stump grinder had broken down and they had to wait for parts. It would have been nice if someone had called me to update me on this when the grinder broke or even when I called confused as to what was going on. He asked if I'd like a bill mailed to me or if I'd like to pay over the phone. I was ready to be done with this project sooner than later so I whipped out my card and paid over the phone which was quite convenient.

Perhaps they should upgrade their business phones so they can see they have a new voicemail... Until then, expect fantastic workmanship with spotty communication.

We moved to Phoenix from New York. Because the trees and pricing may be different out here we went online to ask for tree removal/trimming quotes. Four places called us to set up quote appointments. Harris was not the first place to call us, but was the first company to actually drive by and quote us (within one day). When Jerry called with his quote I was very clear about the fact that we wanted other quotes, and the guy was understanding and very nice. I said that another company was already scheduled out a few days later and that he'd have to wait to hear back from us. Again--he totally understood and was appreciative of my communication of that.

Jerry called back the next day to tell me that they had two other jobs scheduled near my house the following day, and would I consider having them come out and do the job? Jerry came down more on the quote, and it was too good to turn down. We asked how long it would take to remove one giant, overgrown and double twisted palo verde tree, grind out the stump and also to trim back the mesquite tree, which probably had never been professionally trimmed + all debris removal. (It was a big job). Jerry said that it would take two hours, and said that his guys would be there at 11am, if that was okay with me. He said that he didn't want to be pushy, but he wanted the job and knew we'd all save money. (we did).

I called my husband to confer and he agreed we should go ahead and do it, because at that time, one of the other companies had already driven by and given us a written a quote that was $100 higher than Jerry's. It was a no-brainer so I called Jerry right back and we scheduled for the next morning.

Jerry's guys showed up two minutes early (yay!) and the job was finished in ONE hour, on the dot. Unbelievable. You'd never have known that the palo verde tree had been there. The mesquite tree looked amazing, and the yard was spotless - no debris. I could hardly believe it. We LOVE it!  Payment was so casual--I simply called Jerry to tell him the job was done, and I gave him my payment over the phone. It was that simple. Jerry answered some questions we had about drip/irrigation tubing, and then he also recommended Whittier Tree Farm over on Southern in case we wanted to replace the tree we had removed. He told us that we'd get a discount there for mentioning his name.

We will call back next year to have them do all of our trees. GREAT EXPERIENCE.

Disregard the canned response to my review. Clearly it is a copy/paste job 8 MONTHS AFTER THE FACT. Unbalancing the tree? We requested the entire tree be trimmed, and thinned. Not one limb. Our tree ended up looking like someone cut 1/3 of the tree off VERTICALLY. You really want to start spouting nonsense about an unbalanced tree? In the past 8 months not once has anyone reached out regarding the offered refund and there's still absolutely no excuse for a customer being blamed for poor service when you decline twice to send someone out to run over the work wanted. Had that actually happened we never would have had the wrong tree worked on and and the right tree become an eyesore.

First off, this was a crew of 5.  It was hot of course so I gave them all a 32 oz. Powerade to drink.  They had bottles of water.  They threw their Empty Water Bottles and CHEWED GUM and rapper on the ground and left them.  Cleaning up after things in people's mouths is gross, bad can come from that.  The Gum Wrapper looked like paper so you pick it up only to have your hand on someone's CHEWED GUM under the paper !  This crew was sloppy and rude.  Don't except this Disrespect and hire another company !  When I called the office of Harris & Son's Tree Specialist, the 1st thing she did was start making excuses about  they must have been in a hurry  they don't usually do that.  When I explained I picked up the  CHEWED GUM with my bare hand and that could be dangerous she said she would have the owner call me.  Well...it's Harris & Son's..what do you think!  Pick Another Company And Save the Health Hazard And Mess to Clean Up!!

Great experience with Harris and sons cutting down two large eucalyptus in my yard. They were on time and very professional. They did a great job and cleaned up my yard and my neighbors yard. My yard was cleaner when they left than it was before they arrived!  I would highly recommend this company

These guys are good!  We had a huge mesquite tree in our yard with roots that were lifting the block wall and larges branches that were hanging over our house.   The tree, which was probably 40 or 50 feet high looked like it could easily get blown over in high winds so it had to go.  At any rate we got two estimates for removal. Harris and Sons were 45 percent less expensive.  On the day of removal the crew arrived right on time at 7:30am.  By 1:30pm the entire tree was removed and the stump had been ground down.  It looks as if the tree had never been there.  The crew did a great job taking down huge chunks of the tree piece by piece and removed all of the debris and cleaned up afterwards.   There was some minor damage to a sprinkler line and landscaping lighting but that's to be expected since the tree was 25 years old and massive.  The work of removing a tree that size in a confined space is tricky and even dangerous but that crew did everything right and methodically.  A good solid professional job and good value.  I'm happy and my neighbors are happy.  I wouldn't hesitate to use them again.

This is an excellent company with great service and pricing. Jerry came out and looked at our property when I couldn't even be there and spoke with me over the phone. They came when they said they would and did everything he said they would do. Joyce called The next day to take my payment over the phone. Their crew included extra guys because we had two giant Sissoo trees removed - five men, 8 hours, in 100+ degrees, they were impressive. Very pleased with the company. They showed up on tme, had both trees cut down in approximately 1 hour. They were courteous and professional. The man that came out and gave us our qute was friendly professional and explained what would be done. I would gladly recommend them to anyone, plus the prices are very reasonable.

we had 4 giant oleanders removed from our pool area, as well as trimming our queen palms and lime tree. They were very accommodating to our schedule and would recommend them to anyone looking for the offered services.They left the area as clean as it was and with the exception of a bigger area for us to use you would never know they were here. I also shopped around and had several quotes for the exact project and in this case Harris and sons were less than the other quotes and were also much more professional than the others.

These guys seemed very nice, and they came out and gave me a quote for stump grinding. I had 2 trees that I hadn't cut down yet, but was planning to upon receiving the quote for the stump grinding. I needed to make sure I could afford it. I received a very reasonable quote from Harris and Sons and went ahead and cut the trees down and called them back to schedule a time for them to grind the stumps a few days later. I spoke directly with one of the guys and he said they would check their schedule for the following week and call me back. No one called me back. I called again and this time I left a message with their answering service. No one called me back.

So, I guess I need to find a new company to do the work. Unfortunately, I budgeted for the quote Harris and Sons provided and I am finding that the work is much more expensive. I wish I wouldn't have cut my trees down- I could have waited until next year, but I knew the trees were declining and since Harris and Sons provided a reasonable quote I thought I should get it taken care of now.

I give Harris and Sons one star, because while I appreciate them coming out and giving me a quote in a timely manner, not returning calls or honoring the quotes- is really crappy. I am feeling pretty sad looking at my barren front yard with big tree stumps sticking out like eye sores.

The initial set up was a little confusing but they held to their promise and showed up plenty early. The crew themselves were amazing. We have a monster of a tree in back and they weren't even here an hour and did everything as requested and left it cleaner than they found it. Money well spent!

I called and spoke to office in regards to a trimming estimate. The office said they would be out the next week. After not hearing back from them, I sent an email requesting an estimate. Again, no reply.

They came for estimate right away for removal of tall palm trees and scheduled for the following day.     I liked that they have valid license with insurance and reasonable price.  I am satisfied with their work and correspondence from the estimator and office people.

Noticed that I hadn't reviewed Harris and Sons for the work they did in 2016.  From the initial contact to completion, we were very happy with the removal of the trees (3 pines - one at least 40 foot tall).  If it wasn't for the missing tress, we wouldn't have known they were there - we were amazed how clean the yard look after removing these 3 large trees.  Highly recommend Harris and Sons.

Do not use these guys if you want your trees to look beautiful.  They cut ALL the main branches off of my immature dessert trees.  So, all my new growth will be in weak, 90 degree angles from the main branches that have been topped.  They will grow up to look like this: sonorantreesvc.com/03/ho… (scroll down).  If you want to see more examples of improper tree pruning go to sonorantreesvc.com/11/im….  Our tree has essentially been topped with some twigs left on. On the positive side, the company was easy to work with, responded quickly to my call, and was reasonably priced.  So, if you want your trees trimmed so that they don't need much maintenance, then Harris & Sons may be the company for you.  Also, they helped my neighbor when a huge tree fell on his house during a storm.  It was a very tough job, and they worked through a very hot day to get it all done.

We used them several years ago to remove a 30 foot pine tree. They did a decent job, but when it came to grinding the stump, which we were told would be done the same day I was told it's on the other truck we will have to schedule that for another day. Not acceptable. The long and short is the guy came the same day to grind the stump, had an attitude about it and did a half ass job. Fast forward 4 years later the stump, with no water is growing back, and is now several inches above ground level. Jeremey came out to look at it and agreed it should not happen and would arrange to have the office call me to schedule for the stump to be ground again. Yet no call 2 weeks later. I reached the office and after a short conversation was told by the office girl(she was very pleasant, trying to deliver news second hand) that Jeremy said he would not do it since it had been 4 years ago, even though 2 weeks ago, no problem, will take care of, just a side note my girlfriend was with me and heard the entire conversation. So what is the response from the office girl we can send an estimator out to see how much it will cost to remove it. Lesson is Jeremy is not true to his word. I have no doubt they will not be contacting me again, but before you use this company, don't trust all the 5 star reviews. You don't deserve 5 stars when you flat out blow off a previous customer and are not honest. Don't tell someone your going to do something then just leave and change your mind about what you promised to do.

Had a scheduled morning appointment for some tree work.  Stayed home from work to wait for them.  They never showed up or called.  After 2 hours of waiting, I finally called the office to find out if they were coming.  Lady in office was nice and everything but she informed me that they couldn't make it to my scheduled appointment.  I don't understand that at all.  I had a scheduled appointment and they couldn't make it? I went with another company who actually showed up when they said they would.

I was very impressed with my entire interaction with Harris & Sons. Upon calling for a quote they were able to come out and assess my trees within a few hours. We scheduled a date to remove my two juniper trees and grind the stumps and they completed the job within a few days of the initial contact. I was not home when the work was completed, but everything was cleaned up afterwards so that I would have never known they were there (except for two missing trees).  Everyone I spoke to at Harris and Sons was extremely helpful, I would absolutely use them again and recommend them to others.

I found Haaris & Sons removing a tree for a business close by my Phoenix home. I took a picture of their truck thinking its good to keep handy.  2 weeks later after a huge storm I emailed them regarding a huge tree that broke onto a neighbors car.  They were quick to reply and call back. They removed two large trees and trimmed another beautiful g tree.   They did a 5 star job and very reasonable.  Highly recommended.

Harris & Sons took care of our fifty year old palms in the front in an extremely timely manner!!! They arrived on time, had the trees cut down, the stumps ground, and the entire front yard cleaned within an hour. They were very professional and the price was right, too. Highly recommend!!

We had three trees removed recently from a property we purchased.  We received many bids and decided to go with Harris & Sons, as our local nursery also recommended them to me.  They were competitive in their prices, and their representative, Jason, was very knowledgeable and helpful.  He showed up for his appointment and spent time answering all our questions.  They performed a very involved removal requiring a crane and stump grinder. Harris and Sons was extremely timely on their arrival and they left the premises as clean as they found it.  I was shocked how quickly and efficiently they removed three very old trees with no damage to our house or property.  I highly recommend them.

I am super happy with the service I received.  I called and spoke with Jerry - he came out the same day and gave me an  estimate - which was very fair.  They scheduled my tree trimming for the next day!  Alex was great.  He introduced himself right from the start and made sure we were on the same page.  He and his crew did a great job!  They even cleaned everything up and left it looking nicer than before they came.  I highly recommend them!!!  And I will use them again!

I had spoken with a few companies prior to contacting Harris and Sons but I ended up choosing them based on their long-standing history and the quality of the reviews I've seen online along with having spoken with Jeremy and feeling confident that they would do a good job.

  I was not disappointed in the slightest.   I needed a large tree to be cut down and some palm trees to be trimmed and this company did a great job.   They were very prompt, they came slightly early even, the guys that showed up were very courteous and went right at it, working very efficiently, I was shocked at how quickly the big pine tree in my backyard was no more.   They ground down the remaining stump to the point that you can't even tell that a tree was ever there.

  As you can imagine with a tree being cut down there's going to be a mess of branches and other debris but they took great care to clean everything up, the trimming on the palm trees was done in a similarly terrific fashion, all in all I am very satisfied with this company, I am very glad that I chose them and I will be contacting them in the future.

Not all good service is about doing it right the first time - but sometimes the BEST service is making it right when things didn't initially turn out as planned. Harris & Sons exemplifies what it means to have strong business ethics, read on!  I retained the services of Harris & Sons in November 2014 to trim 5 large trees at my rental property.  I live approximately an hour away and don't visit the property often.  The trees were trimmed and my tenant told me they all looked great. (She didn't know the scope of the services for which i had contracted).  I visited the property for the first time since the trimming in June 2015.  One of the trees, a Queen Palm, showed no signs of trimming.  In fact, I contacted 3 other tree companies who told me the tree probably had not been trimmed in 2 years.  I reviewed the invoice and receipt and confirmed I had contracted for trimming of this particular tree.  So I gave the company a call - inquiring about this particular tree and if it had been trimmed in November 2014.  Joyce in the office was extremely upbeat and helpful.  She gave me Jerry's number and told me he would be happy to look into it.  After a bit of phone tag - and some exchanges of pictures of the tree in its current condition - I received a note from Jerry.  He and his crew would be back to the property and trim that tree up - and apologies for the oversight.  Folks - these are the kind of business ethics and personal morals we just do not see anymore.  Mistakes happen - who cares.  It is how we deal with them that define us.  I would absolutely recommend Harris & Sons for all my tree trimming needs.  I cannot express enough my gratitude for them stepping up to the plate - admitting an oversight - offering a correction - and we all go about our day.  CHEERS TO YOU Jerry and Joyce and the whole family over there.  I cannot say enough positive for this evidence of character.  I will send anyone your way who needs tree services!

Ok, I've added a star although it was not as quick of a response as I would have hoped for, they did come back out and finish the stump grinding in my front yard, in time for my yard to look nice for the holiday weekend.

First off, I think they did a pretty good job trimming the trees.  They thinned them out really well and I'm hoping not to have to do it again fro a while.  The guys were quick and efficient.

They got lost coming to my house, which wasn't an issue because people get lost all the time, but it took me at least 15 minutes on the phone trying to tell them how to get here.  Their quote person found my house on the first try and I wish he had explained how to get here so that I wasn't having to use my spanglish to make it work.

My side yard is a bit of a leaf fest, so I wasn't planning on them blowing all of those to haul away, but they did leave more then were there to begin with (including on the lawn) and when I mentioned it they said it was already bad to begin with.  To their credit, they did come back and clean it up a bit.  Still not great, but sufficient.

The next day I saw water shooting out of our drip system and they'd pulled the end cap off dragging branches out, I would guess.

Also, it took me 3 tries to pay him.  Called once, and he needed to call me back, called another time and was hung up on, and the third time no one answered.  I emailed them through their quote form on their website just saying I was done trying to call and they could now contact me, which they did.

Again, they did a decent job on the trimming, it was just all the rest that was difficult.  I think I will try another company next time.

Jerry came out the day I called him and beat all of the quotes that I had.  They came back the following day and removed a 50+ foot Eucalyptus tree and six stumps.  I got home to a clean yard, no damage, no branch or leaf debris, no signs that they were working in my yard allday.
His price was 1/3 of the highest bid, and that bid didn't include the stump grinding.  I did alot of shopping around, they were insured, professional, and inexpensive.

Don came out and gave us an estimate.  He was on time and very knowledgeable.  We had 3 sissoos and one shamel ash removed from our yard in preparation for a pool.  They had a cancellation and asked if they could come out 3 days sooner.  That worked for us.  A crew of 4 guys came and cut down the trees and cleaned up the mess.  Wow!  Were these guys fast!  Shortly after they left, another guy came and did the stump grinding.  I want to say that everything was done within an hour time frame.  When they pulled the big truck and the wood chipper into my backyard, a little oil leaked on our concrete pad.  They were quick to clean it all up.  Their prices are very competitive.  And the service was topnotch.  Joyce was wonderful to work with as well.  We are very pleased with services and would definitely use them again.

Spoke with Joy about having a very dirty mesquite tree taken down in my backyard. She sent a crew out that day to give me an estimate. They called and gave me the estimate which, in my opinion, seemed excellent. I told her to schedule it. Four days later, they arrived to cut the tree down. Now this is a 18-20' tree with a big canopy. It was down in 10 minutes! They cut it all the way to the ground and said the stump grinder crew would be right behind. I didn't know there was a separate crew for that, but within 20 minutes or so, another team showed up. They got the root out in less than 15 minutes! Both crews cleaned up after each job and it looked as though there was never a tree there to begin with. From dealing with Joy on the phone (who is very pleasant, by the way) to how fast and efficient their crew was, I would highly recommend them. In fact, I am recommending them to someone today who has a similar dirty mesquite tree.

Great company! Two trees removed and two trees trimmed quickly and affordably. Beat my first estimate by $150 and I now have my go to tree specialists.

Pricing was very competitive compared to 5 other companies.  Great work and clean- up.  It took them two days instead of 1 day as estimated to remove two 40' high pine trees.  I would use them again if the need arises.

I had Harris and Sons trim a large ficus tree in my yard. They were quick to respond and did excellent work. They left my back yard very clean given the amount they took off. I'll use them again.

When you have 31 trees and many of them overgrown and Monsoon season fast approaching you best get them thinned out.  After calling 3 other tree service co's and getting quotes the company I went with after a month still hadn't come out...Harris and Sons quoted on a Wednesday, had the whole crew out on a Friday and were done and cleaned up by the end of the day.  Very happy and will use their service again as soon as needed.

Harris & Sons did an Amazing job today.  It was a big job of 3 gigantic dying trees removal & grind stump, pruning of tall palms and other clean up . We ended up getting a crane to make the job safe. All this was done in less then 3 hours.  Jason met up with me for a quote the next day.  Joyce at the office is very friendly.  I called other places they where days ahead for just  an initial quote. I would highly recommend this company. They are fully insured and licensed which gave me peace of mind . By far the best price also. I highly recommend this company for any tree removal or trimming.

I recently lost my large mesquite tree due to a storm. Harris and Sons quickly responded to my inquiry and came out to see the tree within a couple hours.  They removed the tree the next morning and ground down the stump several inches below the surface.  Their price was reasonable, service was fast, and they removed all of the debris. I am very happy with their service, would use them again, and recommend them.

I contacted Christian on short notice to clean up my yard before having pictures taken to sell our house. He was one of the few people available that could work with my short deadline!

He had great communication and arrived when he said he would. He did a FANTASTIC job cleaning everything up! It took him around 6 hours and he got so much done, including trimming 5 bougainvillea, 2 sets of palms, and a medium-sized tree, plus blowing out all the rocks. He planted a small bush for me last minute, too. I was also able to pay him over Venmo.

If we weren't moving to a different state, I would absolutely continue to use Christian and would recommend him to anyone needing yard maintenance! 10/10

Contacted Christian to trim down a tree in our yard that had become very overgrown. He was able to come out the next day and for a reasonable price. He showed up on time and was very professional. I am very impressed by the result! I would definitely recommend him and use him again for any landscaping services we need.

I just had Christian out today for a tree trim and a yard cleanup. I just purchased my house and the owner did not take care of the tree or keep the yard clean.

Christian was one of the first to respond to my requests on Yelp. He also had the best price by a decent amount! This is due to him being a small company and not employing other workers.

Christian showed up and got right to work. After he was done the front yard looked SO good and the tree up front felt nice and refreshed. I would certainly hire home again and recommend him to friends.

Christian came out the same day to see what we wanted done, gave us a reasonable quote for the work we wanted done. He was able to come the next day and did such a great job with removing our tree and trimming the rest of the bushes we had in the backyard. It was quite the mess removing the massive flower bush/tree. He cleaned up the backyard getting the flowers, and twigs that were left behind from removing the tree. He's a hard worker, meticulous, and very polite. I highly recommend him, and will use him again for future services.

We've had Christian out twice a few months  apart. He took his time and did a great job trimming a huge, overgrown Palo Verde and a couple large citrus. One of the trees he trimmed had a bird's nest in it and he took care to trim around it which I appreciated. He was very communicative and came when he said he would. He also did a great job of cleaning up. His prices are very reasonable especially for the service he provides.

Christian did such a great job at trimming our tree. We had a lot of dead branches and he was able to clear the tree and make it look the best it's been in awhile! I was surprised at how quickly he was able to get the job done and even better he cleaned up and hauled everything away, leaving us with no mess to clean up. We already are planning to have him come back and do more jobs.

Christian was recommended to me by my neighbor who has used him in the past. He showed up on time and his prices were very fair for cutting down a tree. Would highly recommend and use again for any of my future needs!

We needed a large unwieldy cactus taken out.  Christian did a very professional and quick job.  I will use him again for other landscape work.

My orchid tree needed to be trimmed as it was expanding into the neighbors area and touching our building. I called AZ Urban Aroborist, and they were very responsive. I first talked to, but who had me take pics of the tree and also gave me a reasonable quote. Soon after, I was discussing a scheduled time for the team to come out with Anthony.  The team came out and took care of the tree for me in a timely and efficient manner. They were very helpful in explaining what they were gonna do, cleanup process, and payment. Great job, team. I plan on using them again.
