I suspected a leak underneath the vinyl flooring in my living room.
Plumbing Masters sent Drew OSTEN the morning I called and what a wealth of information he was.
He was patient in explaining my options and gave expert advice on what he would do if it was his house... with no pressure to do the most expensive next step!
I really appreciate the honesty and his knowledge!
5 stars for Drew and Plumbing Masters!

Very Pricy, push sale, avoid
Okay I got a call from Plumbing Master telling me to change my review or they are not going to provide service.

Here is the story, on January I called Pluming Master to give an estimate of one of my property, this is the first time I use them.
I found their price are very expensive, they charge more than $1400 for changing 2 tub drains see attached invoice, but I am on a tight schedule and I don't want to wait.

The technician ask me to sign up for their membership, because I have other properties, so I agreed. But when I called again in February for a different property, they told me one membership per property! how many plumbing job can you have in one property! However since I have already called, I scheduled a appointment for estimate, I also schedule other companies to estimate to compare price.

And then this morning I got a call from Plumbing Master, telling me to change the 1-star review otherwise they are not going to the appointment. Now you know how all the good reviews come from, please go chk facebook, they probably have better reviews. I am considering file a BBB complain

Normally I only post about great restaurant finds.

It would be a disservice to Peoria/Phoenix to not announce the smoothest service I've experienced

Plumber Masters utilizes a combination of old school in person care and project conversation and combines it with new age technology.  At each step I received notification via text of who was going to be meeting with me, time, date. There was in person follow up.  Brad, our service technician, then follow up with making sure we understood the work that was being done, took the time to educate us about the rest of the buildings plumbing.  The office staff at each of my visits, was very accommodating and again, provided outstanding follow up.  No one enjoys having to call a plumber cause all it means is having to pay for something. That being said it's nice to find a capable, qualified outfit that I hope I'll never again need but would be happy to refer.

Again, thank you Brad for the outstanding communication and attention to detail. #303

Rip-off Plumbing Masters....
I could have done better but I was desperate to get my shower fix...
Don't be fooled by the advertised of $29.99 service fee gimmick .., shop around first.
Plumber Levi was here for about 40 minutes .
He replaced shower knob cartridge and my bill was $466.78. The receipt was not even itemized like explaining parts and labor!I I checked how much the price of the parts.,, it's only $30
I had to put 1 star to show my review..,
It should be negative stars...
How do they get away with it???

My bathroom faucets were draining slowly, and Jonathan and Joel were able to diagnos the problem and fix it right away.
I also had some filters that needed replacing and they were able to take care of that as well. Excellent customer service and highly professional.

LIARS ! STAY AWAY!!!!
The company plumber, Jacob, quoted me a high quote to replace a faucet after  misdiagnosing the problem twice. I waited three days to have him come and they CANCELED ME BECAUSE THEY WERE TOO BUSY AND WILL NOT COME FOR AN ADDITIONAL TWO DAYS! I found this out only when I called them, wondering where they were. They were busy, and would not come for another two days. The business manager called me back and apologetically said that somebody would be there TODAY and he would take off $25 from the charge of $450 which was laughable.  Again, the MANAGER LIED TO ME and no one is coming. the plum was never called, and it was all a lie. Three people lied to me and I have waited a week with no  progress made at all.  STAY AWAY from this company. They are liars and dishonest and horrible. THEY OWE ME MONEY FOR ALL THE AGGRAVATION THIS HAS CAUSED ME. I WILL PURSUE THIS!!! SHAME ON THEM.!!

Jen did a fantastic job with her awesome customer service and got me on the schedule right away. She dispatched Ry to help me with a shower drainage issue in one of my rental properties. He showed up on time, was quick to find the issue, thorough with his explanation, presented me with a bid on the spot (which I thought was very fair), then fixed the problem within minutes. Five stars across-the-board, wonderful company to work with and feel I was treated very fairly.

We had two dripping exterior spickets. When Eddie came he explained to us that we had a bigger problem and actually showed us what was happening. I'm thankful that he came when he did and explained things so well. We could have had quite a disaster inside our house if you hadn't shown us the problem. Very nice guy and takes the time to explain things well. We are very pleased

Its too bad I cant give you guys 0 stars. You sent a technician out to light my pilot and charged me 300$ IS THIS A JOKE? This is by far the worst experience ive ever had with any company. They sent a salesmen not a technician. Not Only did he lie about having to use tools but Jennifer was absolutely no help. The customer service at this company is trash. Ive been in the hospital for the past couple weeks while my wife battles cancer and bills pile up. Im furious with this company. DO YOURSELF A FAVOR FIND SOMEONE ELSE!! They will LIE right to your face!!
Now Im down another 300$ while they continue to screw people over w/ No penalty!

Stay away.  They use a rather deceptive approach of not giving an estimate over the phone, but send out a tech to make the estimate.  If you don't like their estimate they charge you $29.95 for the estimate.

Would be OK if their estimates were realistic, but in my case it was outrageous.  Bought a new toilet from Lowes which had a install fee of $200, but the real issue was that they were scheduling out 30 days.

So, I tried Plumbing Masters based on some good reviews.  Big mistake.  The tech showed up and looked at the elongated toilet I had purchased from Lowes and the master bath.  He then checked his handheld computer and stated that the basic installation charge would be $495...!!!!

I decided to just install it myself, which took about 2 hours.  Installing a toilet is not rocket science, but it can be messy and the base bowl can be pretty heavy (52 pounds).

This company is just trying to rip you off.  I guess the young tech thought he had this old guy over a barrel.

Requested a plumber to repair my 2 running toilets, addional work need to correct the toilet to include one of the toilets won't flush paper. I was quoted close to $900 to correct all issues. Once it completed I saw both were not longer running. However later I went to use the upstairs toilet and realized my paper flushing problem was not corrected.  I call back conveyed that to receptionist, she informed me that she could have the plumber returned. I stated it was late and the day after Labor was a better time for me, she assured me he would return that Tuesday between the hours of 10am -1:30pm. I waited all day icalled back she then stated he would call closer to 5pm. I haven't heard from him or her either, so I will start call tomorrow for more of the same.

What a GREAT Experience we had with Plumbing Masters !! Jonatan Yanez was our point of contact/project manager - a very experienced & professional man. Did what he said he would do - we had all sewer drain lines replace in the house and yard. On time and on budget. He brought a very polite, hard working and professional crew to boot !! We have raved about our experience to all our neighbors and people we meet when we are out walking our dog. We are residents of Sun City and it seems like all the sewer pipes in all the homes are failing at the same time. Price was way under the competitors - We are price shoppers :-) We will not hesitate to contact Jonatan in the future for any repairs we need that involve a 'pipe' in the house - they do it all !!  HINT: If you need a new pipe from the house to the street there is a very good chance that the pipes under the house need replace also) They have a system replaces the pipes & eliminates most of the under structure digging and trenching !! Completely impressed with this company and all the employees we have had any dealings with (no, I don't work there - just got carried away with enthusiasm !!)

We called Plumbing Masters yesterday (May 23rd) and were able to get an appointment the very next day (today, May 24th) to have our water heater flushed. They arrived on time and were very professional. Saul and Trevor were outstanding in everything! Trevor let us know that one of our toilets wasn't bolted all the way down and was very loose so we also asked to have that fixed as well. There are not enough great things to say about Saul, Trevor and Plumbing Masters!! If we could give them 10 stars, we totally would!

Our 12 year old water heater started leaking from the top so we did a 29.95 service check to try to see if it was worth trying to repair. Benjamin came out just a few hours after I had called. He let us know when he was on the way which was very helpful. He took time to explain what he saw going on and gave us options. He was also very patient answering questions which helped us decide what to do next.  I would definitely reach out to them for any future plumbing concerns.

Requested a plumber take a look at our NEW water softener.  After agreeing to pay the obligatory $29.95 fee for someone to take a look we agreed on an appointment today between the hours of 11-3 p.m.  About 2 p.m. the office called advising he was delayed and would be here closer to 3 p.m.  Nothing I could do but wait.  At 3:30 p.m. I called the office to find out what was going on and Michaela said When I talked to you earlier I told you he was delayed.. She denied ever saying he'd be here closer to 3.
Wasted my entire day waiting.  I did not reschedule but told them I was sending them a bill for $29.95!

Jake from Plumbing Masters came out to help identify natural gas demand from my appliances and how to get gas to a new furnace and tankless water heater. I really appreciate his acknowledgement that I have a budget to get this work done.

RIPS OFF THE ELDERLY WITH OVER CHARGING: I had a leak in my master bath faucet. The man came out and put a new cartridge in it and that really did not fix it. A cartridge costs about $50 at the most I looked it up on line. I also looked up online what it could cost to have a plumber replace a cartridge and the highest was $250.00 or so. Plumbing Masters charged me $495 dollars which was excessive. I am a senior citizen and this is abuse of a senior citizen. He did not give me an invoice but emailed me one later and that is how I found out all he did was to replace a cartridge. It still leaked until my son came and fixed the handle on the faucet. DO NOT USE THEM!

Well, firstly, I'd love to thank the tech that came out today. He was awesome. His attitude was great, and he stuck with it, even when it wasn't resolved at the end of the visit.

My tankless water heater (2 yrs old) stopped working. Faulting out error code 12. While he was here, troubleshooting, we got Rheem on the phone regarding warranty. The tech originally said he would clean the flame rods but didn't think that'd be the fix. Yes, I agreed to the service. But for the flame rods and ig otros to be removed, (them be already clean), and at the end of the night, we have to wait on a control board from Rheem to arrive in a few days. which the tech even said he doesn't feel confident will fix it in the end. But hey, I still got to pay Plumbing Masters $291 today and no fix, no hot water! Just a $291 bill! And I still have to pay for labor when the board arrives! Yea, idk about that.

All I know is that I just spent nearly $300 and my water heater is turned off and unplugged and I'm about to shower with cold water.

Husband made an appointment last Saturday over the phone, was told someone would be here on Wednesday between 1-6pm. They called to confirm the appointment on Monday, but never showed up on Wednesday nor called to say they wouldn't be here. Husband called that night to figure out what happened, was told we would be contacted immediately. Never were.

Ended up paying more for a different plumbing service who actually showed up. Avoid using this company unless you want to micromanage their time to make sure they do the job.

Called because they were a couple miles from the house. Website says $93 drain cleaning.  Two toilets = $186. But total was $366 because they used a camera to ser the main line wasn't blocked. Called and was told we have to mention the special price to get it. No where on the website does it say that!  Any other plumber I found was $50-$100 for using the camera, but not $180.

I made the call for my elderly parents and feel they were taken advantage of. The recommendation was to replace both toilets to the tune of $3000+.

On the plus side they were on time and the clogs were taken care of. But hopefully their regular guy isn't on vacation next time a plumbing issue arises.

Deceptive advertising...

A few days ago, we had the misfortune of having a slab leak in our home. Responding to a coupon for Slab Leak Detection Repair Consultation on there website (see screenshot below), I telephoned Plumbing Masters and explained that we specifically have a slab leak and wish to take advantage of their advertised special. After discussing our problem in more detail, the phone representative kindly offered to wave the $29.95 Slab Leak Detection Repair Consultation and promptly scheduled an appointment with one of their trained technicians. This was music to my ears. At 7 am the following day, Plumbing Masters called and informed us that the serviceman was currently on his way. When he arrived, he examined the slab leak (located behind the drywall beneath our kitchen sink) and we then proceeded to where our hot water line cuts off. But within just a matter of minutes, the technician quickly explained that Plumbing Masters will need to schedule another serviceman who is trained and equipped in leak detection, and that such a service call would cost us hundreds $ more. Not only did this leave me extremely frustrated, but also angry that Plumbing Masters obviously wasted both our time. I even voiced my dissatisfaction immediately by calling Plumbing Masters back, but sadly that effort proved a complete waste of time too. So thanks for nothing Plumbing Masters.., except for proving that you are NOT the Top-Rated Leak Detection Service Near You in Phoenix as publicly advertised!

I am very, very happy with the installation of my new whole-house water softener by Josh Vanbronckhorst of Plumbing Masters. He showed up on time, was friendly, helpful and highly professional in his presentation and work. Josh went above and beyond in making sure the installation worked perfectly for my house, including running a power line for the unit through the attic so that there would not be any unsightly cords in my garage.

I also appreciated that he educated me on how to use the unit, and even took the old unit from the previous homeowner away so that I did not have to deal with disposing of it myself. Plumbing Masters are truly professionals at what they do, and I will only call them when I have plumbing needs. I highly recommend them to friends when anyone asks me for a good plumbing company. Thank you Plumbing Masters!

Brian did his best to make it right.  The point is not if my husband is a nice guy. ....when 1 hour and 40 minutes into the scheduled time you don't say we are too busy and need to reschedule.  That did not sound like an option where he needed to say no you must honor your commitment.  With that being said Brian said he would use this review as a teaching moment and I appreciate that.  Now if I can just train my husband to be a jerk next time.

I had Eric and Levi come out and do a phenomenal job. You can tell instantly you are in the presence of a subject matter expert. They were both courteous, thorough and at no time did I feel like they did not have full transparency as to what work needed to be done during their thorough evaluation. I wish that I had read these reviews a couple of months ago before I spent 2300.00 to install a new drain in my laundry room and bought a 2 year membership! My husband told me then that it was way over priced! Live and learn who not to trust! Today I had them out for my free member estimate for fill valves for my toilets they want 213.00 per toilet for a 25.00 part! They won't install my attachable bidet because of liability. My son is going to do the work. Wasted money on a membership these plumbers are very overpriced! Also, they didn't cover their shoes before walking in my house disgusting and inconsiderate! Very unhappy with this company!

One star is what this company is worth and that's solely because they arrived in time. I had a simply job to install a sink faucet and garbage disposal. The quote was $789.00!!!!  I about fell over. They then offered a $100.00 discount (like that was going to make me feel better).  The two guys that provided the quote were Supervisors. A plumber would be by later. This company is the biggest ripoff of the century. I will also file such comment with the BBB.

Brian,  your #1 competitor responded to my call within 1 hour and only charged $275.00. Your company is a joke!!

In response to the owner:

I'm not sure what gives you the impression this is a landlord tenant situation. I'm the homeowner. There is no tenant. You guys gave me a time window, failed to show up, and never called. The only reason we ever talked was because I called you.

Again, the guys who came out were good guys. And they were very honest about how tough the job would be.

Had Plumbing Master's out a few days ago after a failed attempt at fixing a leaking bath fixture.  Had to call them out on Friday evening, otherwise I would have had to leave the water off all weekend and call someone out Monday.  I didn't have a problem with the $125 after hours charge.  But after I provided the $17 cartridge from home depot, he was able to reduce the bill to $414. Uuuummmm...whaaaaat??? Tech was great no issues there but he wasn't even there for an hour - closer to 30 minutes.  So after the $125 it was an additional $289??? I've worked for contractors for 25 years and that is absurd at best. So, so disappointed.

First I wasn't sure to expect. This place has some seriously hokey commercials. However, I was fortunate enough to have been assigned to their plumber Jessie Green.
Meeting Jessie was a pleasure and he really knows his trade. I appreciated the straightforward pricing. His customer service is exceptional. Jessie is also very personable, which is helpful when going through a typically stressful situation. Thanks Jessie!!

They had a discount special... so I decide to try them. They serviced my kitchen clog drain just 3 days back.... and it is clogged again. The Tech servicing our drain was very polite and professional, so no issues with him. the company But when I called back  to let them know that my drain was clogged again, they said they do not warranty work on discount specials. In my opinion, not good business. So we went back to our original plumbing company who always warranties their work.

Eric was not very personable plumber and he quoted me 275 dollars and said I wasn't eligible for any discounts because I had used them in the past year.  I didn't even ask for a discount to begin with and it was very presumptuous to state that.  I also scheduled two days in advance which I was given time frame 8am to 1pm which I did wait patiently at home for those 5 hours for them to arrive at 1:15pm.  That's not very professional.  I got another plumbing service done for almost 3rd of what plumbing masters was trying to charge.  Only reason this is a 2 star instead of a 1 is because at least they kept in contact with me with them running late and send a picture of who your plumber would be which I appreciate.

Joshua called 45 min. before his arrival to inform me he was on his way which was great because I did not have to wait for 3 hours for him to show up. He was friendly and professional & even wore shoe covers to keep my carpets and floors clean.

The service performed was free of charge it was an annual health inspection of my plumbing components along with a heater flush.

Definitely recommend them!!! :)

Third times a charm...we had two techs out her before Mike came and took care of our issue...it took him a few trips back but it was evident he was not going to give up until the issue was fixed tank less water heater issues thank goodness he could help us with a bit of a workaround solution so we could have a hot shower while he figured the issue out ...we would give Mike 10 stars if we could hopefully you never lose him he represents your company well....thanks Mike!!!

Scheduling errors and issues prompted an initial less than stellar review...

UPDATE: The owner has reached out first thing this morning, taken responsibility for errors and issues. He has taken steps to correct. Will update upon completion.

UPDATE: The owner followed through and took care of my issue. The plumber, Dave, was fantastic. On time, polite, and very helpful! I trust the owner has corrected any scheduling issues.

I submitted the online contact form and was called back within an hour. I scheduled to have someone come by to give me an estimate to remove a water softener and replace the pipe loop. I was told they would be here on Friday between 1-6 and no one showed up and I didn't receive a call. That is poor customer service. I would like to update this post: after calling the office I received a call back from Ben, he apologized for the mix-up and waived the service call fee and came out the next day and completed all the work I needed and even helped me replace a toilet shut off valve. Thanks Ben.

I have been using Plumbing Masters for well over 10yrs. probably 15 yrs. Have been living in my home for over 25yrs and once I found them, I have never called any other company. They have replaced water heaters, toilets, values, faucets, showerheads ..you name it they have done it.
Have had many of their wonderful employees come and do work over the years. Always pleasant, always informative and OH yeah always smell good.

DO NOT USE: Plumbing Masters is overpriced, but we were in a bind.  My mom passed away and we are selling her home. My mother was a very loyal and long term customer. I called PM since they had installed the original water heater years ago. So, I paid $1800 for a new water heater last month.  Later in the month, at the home inspection, the water heater installation failed inspection because it lacked a drain pan and there is a pipe for the drain. There was a pan with the old water heater.  I called PM and I said they should come and fix for free ( especially given the $1800 installation price). They didn't dispute that, we set an appointment, they called today to give me a 30 minute window of arrival time.  I left work in the middle of meeting to drive 30 minutes. Here is where the story goes downhill: In the meantime, the technician calls my brother to tell him it costs $250 just to show up and my brother cancels.  My brother had no idea I had even made an appointment.  I had not given PM any alternate phone #s when I made the appointment. I am waiting at the house when I get the text from my brother. I called the dispatcher who told me to call the technician.  He said he didn't have my phone #.  Despite that it was the only phone # I had given the dispatcher who had called me to let me know the window of arrival time just 30 minutes earlier. When I talked to the tech, after he talked to his boss, the best pricing due to my circumstance became $375-ish just to start putting in a $10 Pan (which I had) for the approximate one hour of labor.  The technician explains that they have to make margin. I am pretty sure they made margin on the $1800 installation of a $500 water heater. This is ridiculous! I would like to charge them my hourly rate for the wasted 2 hours of my time.  But instead I will let everyone I know to steer clear of Plumbing Masters.

March 19th 2019 I had an emergency sewer blockage, I didn't know it until my downstairs toilet ran over. It was really late and had to call off work to find out what was going on. So, read some reviews and contacted Plumbing masters if I could give them all zero stars I would! I called them they charged me a fee for calling in after hours but I was okay with that. Around 2-3 hours later a guy showed up at my home. He went to my bathroom took the cap off the back cover to access the sewer line inside the house. He started rodding it and said he really couldn't see where the blockage was. So, he told me I need to pay upfront for them to come back with a camera and rod the home from the outside of my house. Let me say sewer water was everywhere inside my home and the next day when the two guys came out to rod the outside omg, the previous owners cut down the cleanouts (my an the city's sewer lines) So, they had to remove the pavers and dig up all the dirt to rod the line. They found it, opened it and rodded my line. Sewer water, poop, toilet paper you name it all came flowing out in my entryway. Then the left, and left me with shit flowing everywhere! They did not finish the job! Didn't return to clean up, clean the cleanouts or raise them up. Reporting them to Roc.

Had an issue with a clogged pipe for a double sink bathroom on the 2nd floor. Called Plumbing Masters and the plumber arrived to fix the issue. Jose came out and he was nice and professional and I don't have anything bad to say about him.

After working on my sink, Jose told me he could not snake the sink to clear the clog because the snake wouldn't go down the bottom part of the 'T' intersection that the two sinks made. He said he would need to bust the wall to clear the clog. We asked for an estimate and he said he would call someone and let us know what it would be. The estimate came out to a little over $850 and we would need to repair the wall after. We said no.

Called another company who snaked the sink, including the bottom of the 'T', and unclogged the pipe for $130.00 without busting the wall behind the sink.

I don't think they are terrible (judging from reading most of their reviews on here) but I know I would never call them again because of the proposed solution to the problem that they had provided.

Made an appointment and waited all day for the service tech only to receive a call from Ana at 4:45pm telling they couldn't make it until 2 days later because they overbooked.

Extremely poor run business that doesn't know how to schedule.  Lost a whole day off work sitting at home waiting for this company.

Never again.  No consideration for what customers had to do to arrange their day.   Don't risk the same experience!

There are times in life when crap hits the fan, and this last week it happened at our house.

My darling 8 year old clogged his toilet, and instead of letting me know about it, he walked away to let me discover it 45 minutes later when it had flooded the bathroom, hallway, half of his sister's room, half of the kitchen and living room. Plumbing Masters has been our go-to plumber for a couple of years now, and a quick phone call to their office resulted in Roger Armstrong knocking on our door within an hour.

Roger sent a camera down into our 50 year old cast-iron sewer pipe, and we all could see that the pipe running under the house--the entire length of the house-- had to be replaced. I immediately stressed out!! I shouldn't have.

I'm a cancer patient and Roger, Brad and their crew were far more concerned about my comfort than they were about the speed of getting their job done. They took care to protect everything in my home before they started drilling the foundation and digging, and made sure to ask me multiple times a day what they could do to help ME! I can't tell you how many times a day they offered to go get me food.  When they finished all of their work, they got out buckets and rags and cleaned all of the floors, walls and furniture before they left.  They even sent in a professional cleaning crew the next day to clean the house top to bottom.

Oh, and they finished TWO DAYS BEFORE they said they'd be done!

Not only do these guys have a customer for life, but I feel like we've gained some new friends for life, too!

Thanks, guys!  You'll never know how much of an impact your care and concern (and jackhammers) had on this family!

We had an extremely frustrating experience with our contractors hired to build our outside kitchen, pool and spa, and fire pit. Plumbing Masters was called in to assist and they and their supervisor McBride WENT ABOVE AND BEYOND to help us get our gas lines installed, inspected, and finally working so that we can finally enjoy our products! Thank you for all your communication, from your office staff to your field staff, and for making it right for us!!

Called them due to having a water leak inside the wall, they showed up charged me $278 to detect the leak and $401 to fix it. Due to the extent of the damage I had to file a homeowners insurance claim. They assured me I would be reimbursed and requested that I pay upfront. Needless to say I was not reimbursed. When I requested the plumbing report and photos for insurance as they still needed them they refused to provide me with the report and photos even though I am the customer and had already paid for the repair. They said they could only provide them to insurance, when insurance called to request them they told them they would be able to provide them in 7-14 business days. Thankfully my insurance agent was kind enough to come out and take more photos. Things didn't end there they recommended Rocky Mountain restoration to do the water mitigation and they ended up sending a ridiculous bill. Overall a horrible experience.

Our kitchen sink was backing up and we were unable to unclog it ourselves.  I called Plumbing Masters and they had a very reasonable rate and they were able to get me on the schedule the same day.  Davante was at our door approximately 2 hours after I made the phone call.  I appreciated the booties over his shoes.  He was able to get the kitchen sink unclogged quickly and was very professional. We are so happy with the service we received.  We'll be calling Plumbing Masters again the next time we need a plumber.

Stay Away! This is the biggest rip-off company I've ever dealt with. I called them for a clogged drain pipe; they couldn't unclog it and told me they would have to locate the clog with a camera. I was told that that would cost $348. They came back the next day, located the clog and sent another guy to come out and dig up the driveway and fix the clogged drain. It took this guy 3 hours to do the whole job, and the final bill was a whopping $4619! They knew that I had been unable to use water in the house for almost 3 days, and just arbitrarily threw this outrageous charge at me knowing I was desperate. They probably had $50 in materials, and the rest was labor. For the time they spent on the job, the labor came to almost $800/hr. I have never seen a more dishonest company. They should be called Plumber Master Ripoffs!

Unfortunately my disposal needed replacing so I called plumbing masters. Since it was my first time using them they also checked all of the draining for my bathtubs, my water heater and the psi for my water. Mark was friendly, courteous and was able to install not just a new disposal but also a new safety valve since my water pressure was too high.
I really like that they go by the book for repairs and not charge per hour like a lot of other plumbers do. Will definitely call them again in the future!!

Sent in a request for an estimate on 3 New toilet installations. Received a call from the office from a nice lady. Got my info, then at the end told me there was a $50 service fee (that would be waived if I chose them.) I find it very ridiculous to charge a fee for an estimate. I do not know your company, rates, etc so why should I have to pay? This should be stated first before anyone contacts so you do not waste people's time.

We have trusted this company since 2007 and they have replaced our water heater, faucets, hose bibs, the main water valve into the house, added a pressure regulator to the main entry point, and it has been done correctly the first time each time.

We love their HVAC sister company, too.

We called to have a simple sink clog cleared. When the technician arrived he was meet by my wife. Within 2 minutes the price went from $93 dollars guaranteed price or it's free to over $450 dollars. Then when asked why he said that our pipes didn't meet their approval. False advertising is what that is!! Bait and switch... do not use them.

Plumbing Masters is very professional from the beginning to the end. When I made a appt for someone to come out to my home shortly after hanging up I immediately was sent a text of the photo of the technician that was coming to my home. Steven came out and the work that needed to be done unfortunately was going to cost me more than I thought. However he did all he could do to find the least inexpensive way to fix the problem. Steven and Joshua were both professional in showing a print out of the cost so it's good to know it wasn't made up! Would definitely use again hopefully not anytime soon!

I was first impressed with the chipper voice that answered when I called saying Thank you for calling Plumbing Masters.  How can I make you smile today?  I was also pleased with their response time.  They were able to get someone to my client's property the same day.  The reason I'm giving one star is because I was taken advantage of by charging $289 for a job that took them 15 minutes of labor and a clean out cap that costs $5.  They didn't even have to make a trip to the store.  Highway robbery in my opinion.  I called after the fact to talk to a manager and the receptionist said he wasn't in.  She asked what it was regarding and I explained.  She said she would have him call me back but I never heard from anyone.

Tried Plumbing Masters for a simple job late last year and they were fine. Earlier this year had them out to replace old hose bib and re-do main shutoff to the house. At the time they sold me on their maintenance program. Fine, but here's where the trouble starts. Made an appointment to have them come out and do annual maintenance, including water heater drain.I was given a time frame of 8-1, which for that day was fine since I was going to be home. Lo and behold I get a phone call at 12:15 from some cheery person telling me they were not going to make and needed to reschedule me for the next day. Really, call me after 4+ hours into the time frame and act as though your schedule is more important than mine? This morning I discover water at the site of where they re-did the main shutoff back in January so I called them up to get out here ASAP to fix their crappy work. I was told they would be out between 11-3 today and naturally per this company's MO I just received a call at 2:30 saying they are running behind today and were hoping to get to me soon. When I asked what soon meant, I got a whole bunch of nothing in response.

Bottom line on this company is if it's a revenue-generating call, they'll show. But if it's just to honor their program or fix their work with no income possibility, they will blow you off. Proven it on three different occasions with us.

Update after owner's response:  Brian, you are claiming you refunded our Club Membership, apparently to make yourself look better to the Yelp world?  I not only have not received this refund, you never even addressed my request in your email back to me.

Don't believe the $93 or its free or $53 to unclog gimmicks.  Plumbing Masters looked at my bathroom drain for 2 minutes and gave me a quote of $293.  I thought that was ridiculous so I called a friend who is handy around the house.  He took my drain apart, unclogged it, and had it back together in 10 minutes.

This is an updated review as of January 2018. I originally gave them 5 stars and the comment from the business is from my original review.... here goes:
I have been a Plumbing Masters customer and holder of their lifetime membership for more than 5 years. I chose them because they were honored with the BBB award for ethics. This meant a lot to me so when I found myself in crisis with a leak, they were my first call and I've been using them ever since. They always show up when they say they will and this is where my original review starts to deviate.  January 2018- I called them because it appeared I had a leak and I also had an issue with the water heater they installed. They came out promptly and advised my leak was from the automatic pool filler pipe which likely failed. They provided me with an estimate of $2600 to replace approximately 12 feet of pipe (yes, they would have to dig slightly under my pool deck- approximately 1 foot). Are you kidding me? Then I asked if they could just cap it off- they said yeah, but that would be $450. Thank goodness my brother was staying with me for the holidays and came out and asked why they didn't suggest just shutting off that valve- you see, it was dedicated to pool filler. Response: well, we talked about that and we were going to recommend it... really? Sure you were... Now, let's talk about water heater- they did fix that, there was a leak at element and they tightened it. Here's the kicker though, they did that after I said no to their $2600 and $450 fixes and they turned off my water heater, unbeknownst to me.... so, the next morning's shower was freezing!!!! So moral of story, companies can change significantly over time. This one sure did.

KUDOS to technician Josh, who didn't give up on a tough job!!
BRAVO Plumbing Masters!!!

We were vandalized last evening and our outdoor water supply spigot pipe had been bent down - breaking it & spewing water all over our front lawn (until we discovered it).  So, we had to shut the water off to our entire premises.  Immediately, we called Plumbing Masters, who said it wouldn't be until this afternoon ...but asked to be put on the 1st available (since we had no water at all).  Within the hour, Plumbing Masters called back to say Josh was on his way.  (WooHoo!)

Josh arrived around 9:30am & quoted a price - we agreed.  However, Josh couldn't get the broken pipe off; even had to make a trip to Home Depot for parts.  And still, that blasted pipe wasn't budging.  But, Josh NEVER gave up - never!  Josh's perseverance & sheer brute force won ...and a new pipe was finally installed, water turned back on and the price quoted was the price we paid!!!

We couldn't be more thrilled with Plumbing Masters & highly recommend them to everyone!!!

P.S.  Bless you, Josh!  You're THE BEST!!

My family has been using plumbing masters for almost ten years now. Since I now have my own home I gave them a call to check some weird noises in our pipes.Jesse and Robert came out to see what the issue was. Very professional and courteous. Robert came back the next day to do some minor additional things I specifically requested. Look forward to working more with both of them in the near future. Thanks for having an awesome trustworthy team!
On a side note, yes it does cost a little more than other places. However, in this case I believe you get what you pay for. Great customer service and quality work is worth it.

I had them come to my house to replace my water heater. The guy was there from 10:00 to 7:00. He went to Home Depot 3 times for parts. My bill was $2,500.00!!! I was in shock. I had another company come to give me an opinion on what was done and he said several things I was charged for were unnecessary and he could have done the job in 90 minutes. I will never use Plumbing Masters ever again!

Mike our technician was amazing. We had a problem with our drain being clogged and our faucet not working at all. Unfortunately when Mike arrived he advised us that he was only notified of one of the problems not both. Though he was only notified of one problem he fixed both of the problems in less than 30 minutes. He went above and beyond to assist with our home, even when he didn't have to. He is great and provided amazing customer service. Thank you guys so much for assisting with our home and I will definitely be referring friends and family to the Plumbing Masters. Thank you Mike!!

I called these guys on a Sunday when a lower level toilet was plugged. They came out quickly, which was great. The guy was polite enough, looked around the house for about 5 minutes, no tools or anything, and quickly assessed that the repair would cost $2400 for a new pump. I questioned how he could possibly know without testing anything, all he could say was it's not turning on, you need a new pump
After more discussion, he called his boss who confidently assured me that we need a new pump. I again asked how he could possibly know this from over the phone?! His response was I've been in business for 27 years, I know you need a new pump
I'm not one to drop $2400 without a second opinion, especially since I live in a pretty new home, so I called my handyman, who luckily was free. The first thing he pointed out was the price of a good quality comparable pump is less than $1000.00 I thought great, I can save over half of what they quoted me. He came out, put some water in the basin, which fired everything right back up, tested over 50 times, and it's been working perfectly since then. Total cost? A few dollars for my handymans time.
The service guy had obviously no experience with the type of house we were in, and the obvious attempt to cash in on a Sunday by his boss, when most places are closed is pretty disgusting. Don't ask me to call you to rectify this, I've wasted enough time on this and will not be doing that. If you feel the need to make this right (which you should) go ahead and refund my card for the useless service call that was a big waste of my time, energy and money.

Their prices are ridiculous. I paid just over $300.00 to have a wax ring replaced on my toilet It took the technician about 15 minutes. In addition he was going to charge me the service fee until I brought it to his attention at which time he waived the fee. It seems a little shady that he was trying to charge the service fee if it's their policy to waive the fee if the customer agrees to the repairs. I now understand why they don't give any general quotes up front. I won't be doing business with them again.

Someone called me from Plumbing Masters yesterday and left me a voicemail to call them back regarding my Yelp review.  So since only my first name is listed, I would assume that they researched to find out who I was based on the info I provided in this review.  But why call me now?  To waste more of my time?  I had an appliance install guy come out and with parts the entire job was $325.

***And now I get a long explanation of overhead costs etc. I completely understand what it takes to run a business.  But the average dishwasher install is $120 - $140 and I was quoted 5X that amount!  And was going to have something else done at the same time.  Sorry if I find that a bit unreasonable.  Maybe if you did less advertising and just provided better service, you could get repeat and referral business.  But obviously by the lecture that I rec'd on how businesses operate.  What do I know???  Thank you for the response but I am reviewing for the buyer to beware.

Mark and Mel came out to my house on 5/12/14 to address a couple of issues. Water softener was as old as methuselah and my hot water tank was past its' sell by date. In addition I had a number of sinks that were not draining and a leak in my shower. I think our house had not had a full plumbing service for about a decade (we bought the house 4 years ago).

With the scope of the job being so big I was not expecting an immediate fix but to my surprise and delight Mark and Mel from Plumbing Masters spent a full 8 hours working on everything. I had an idea how much it was all going to cost as I did plenty of research prior to them coming over.

I got a price that was about $600 less than my prediction. That was great result number one.

These guys were super friendly, very knowledgeable and explained everything in detail. They showed me the issues and went through every single faucet, bath and pipe with a fine tooth comb to make sure everything was as it should be. They even took the time to address my water irrigation system and ensure that was in full working order. They got here at about 1pm and were here till dusk.

I will not be looking anywhere else if I need any future service. This bunch of lads are superb.

10/10.

If you are looking for any plumbing issues I would ask for them specifically.

Cheers Pluming Masters!!

Great work.

First off, let me say that I could not have been happier with the work Plumbing Masters did. I would recommend this company to anyone looking to have any work done!!!

Here's the details:
I called 4 plumbing companies trying to get someone out here on a Saturday and Plumbing Master's was the only one that could actually guarantee they would make it out and gave me a time frame when they would be here. We had a clog in the main line and while I thought it was going to be just a quick fix by snaking the line, we quickly realized it was a much bigger problem. They located the issue and had to dig down to the pipe. Unfortunately it was completely unsalvageable. They sent a camera down all the lines and they were all in horrible shape. Ultimately we had to replace all the sewer lines in the house and we went ahead and replaced the line running out to the sewer in the backyard as well. This was a HUGE job. I had company coming in town in less than a week and worried they would never get done in time. Luckily Plumbing Masters is one of the few companies in town that have the ability to use a huge machine to pull a flexible pipe in place of the existing line. This allows them to replace the sewer line without having to trench the entire house, minimizing the damage and repair needed inside. They basically dig a large hole outside the house and a hole in the bathroom or wherever the line terminates and they use a hydraulic pump to pull the new lines through the house. It is more expensive then trenching the entire line but works as a trade off because it requires less repair of tile and other finishes and takes a lot less time then saw cutting, trenching, removing and replacing the entire length of the line. The crew (Lester & Franklin) did an amazing job. They were kind, courteous, very clean, thorough, and even helped me with my 1 year old who was constantly trying to see what they were doing. Plus, they showed me all the issues so I could see the condition and they took pictures along the way to help with dealing with insurance. Roger (supervisor) did a fantastic job at explaining everything they were going to do, how it would work, and promised they would be done before my guests got here. He checked in regularly and was always available if I had any questions. Plus he made sure we always had a working bathroom so we didn't have to make other arrangements. They made sure everything was plumbed properly and done to code. When they came across some additional issues with a leaking sink line and a hole in the sewer vent line, they repaired both issues without coming to me for additional money. As a single mother, I felt extremely safe with them in my home and really appreciate the work they did.

They probably aren't the cheapest company in town but it was worth the added security of knowing they were going to do it right and not come to me with change orders every time they ran into a little issue. Plus, even with the extra issues they ran into, they managed to finish on time! I don't think any other company would've worked so hard to make sure the work got done on my timeline. They also warranty their work for 10 years and worked with my insurance to provide a breakdown of the costs so I could try to recoup at least some of the money I was out.

Woah - Firstly, Plumbing Masters was able to get me someone pretty quickly, within about 1.5 hours of calling.  The first gentleman (Mike) was nice and realized the problem required one of their other technicians.  Jessie was dispatched and I cannot stress how amazing this man is and what kind of job he does.  He is 100% the same from the first moment he enters to the moment he leaves.  Jessie was at my house from about 1000 to almost 2100 and never once did he change his kindness or attention to detail.  The only concern was they also dispatched another gentleman to help Jessie who did not appear to have the same dedication or interest (Wilmin?) and left prior to finishing.  One other note, one of their Managers also came to check on the activity (Mike) who was somewhat abrasive and claimed they would help put things back.  While Mike helped move some items out, it isn't Jessie's responsibility to move items back to their original location that is unrelated to the repairs so making promises you aren't going to keep is not very helpful.  In addition, leaving Jessie to try and complete the repair alone while he already worked so many hours is unacceptable.  Jessie should be promoted as one of their regional managers and respected for his integrity and ability.  **Note: Plumbing Masters is somewhat pricey although they guarantee their work for about 10 years (both labor and parts).

I had plumbing masters come out to find cleanout, never did find it but said my black pipe was compromised from roots and I should take care of it and handed the $300 BUT it comes with three years of water tank drainage. I the had total blockage 3 months later and again camera and again black pipe with roots. had to have it dug up for $5445. but low and behold it was roots but not my black pipe but at the connection at the city clay. my question is why in beginning not alternatives and even after no alternatives. after talking with other plumbers and going on line I could have got this fixed for a lot less. at least get me up and going. so my point DO NOT call plumbing masters unless you have plenty of money. if you are good at your trade you can always give your customers and alternative.

When they answered the phone, How can I put a smile on your face today?, I was instantly at ease. She knew who I was based on my number from calling in, was able to tell me when, how much and where a charge was from.  Then, verified my email and sent me the invoice I was in need of all with-in 60 seconds!! That has got to be the best customer service experience that I have ever had.

So disappointed. I called to have someone come unblock my kitchen sink. The lady on the phone was super nice. 39 mins later I get a call from Antonio; $125 after hours fee to come look at the problem and minimum $245 to drain the sink.

Had a problem with some old industrial plumbing in a major concert venue in Phoenix. We could not figure out the issue so we had to call in these guys. They showed up and in no time flat figured out the issue and came up with a solution. The work was pristine and professional. I highly recommend this company.

Yesterday I called Plumbing Masters and set an appointment for Friday 1/15 between 3-7. The lady was friendly on the phone and said I would receive a picture of the guy that would be showing up so I was aware of who my tech would be. I felt like it went well UNTIL the techs showed up a day early. They showed up yesterday, they were two males that were extremely rude. They lied about costs of equipment, which we are well aware of how much they cost at any store. We have had over 5 quotes to repipe our house since our hot water line is leaking under the slab and the highest of all the quotes were 5k. Plumbing Masters quoted us $20,000 to repipe 3 areas of our house and said we could finance it for 10 years and pay around $350 a month for it. They are absolutely insane. We have a small 1 story house and are only repiping half of it. This company is a joke. I would not recommend them.

Plumbing Masters is absolutely awesome! Our home was built in 1968 - which is definitely older for the Phoenix area. We've had Plumbing Masters come work on our dish washer, fix our master water shutoff valve,  replace our 20+ year old water heater and fix plumbing in two of our bathrooms. You know the saying when one thing goes...everything goes! Most of these projects needed to be brought up to modern code standards as well. They have always done a great and affordable job. Michael Pace did a ton of the work for us. It was great having the same person come work on the house when possible so I didn't have to re-explain everything to someone new. He is so knowledgable and tackled our complicated plumbing problems with ease of a true professional. Scheduling is quick and efficient and worked within my scheduling needs. We won't ever call another company to help with our plumbing needs!

Called around 11am on a Sat, the gal who answered was very nice and I was told no problem, someone will be there between 1pm-6pm. This was very reassuring since our tenants had to shut the water off to the house. Our tenants called after 6pm and said no one called or showed up, and they had not left the house all day. I called and spoke to a nice young man who told me he doesn't have access to the computers to see what went wrong. He took all the information again and said someone would be contacting me quickly. My tenants called again since they had no water all day long so I called again and spoke to someone who once again told me nothing and said someone would contact me soon! That was 41 min ago!

I didn't think I would have to give an unfavorable review considering we are a preferred customer.  First, let me say that our initial visit with Mike went well. Then it fell apart from there. Mike had to come back out to do a camera view on our sewer line outside. We scheduled for Sunday March 11th at 10:00 am. No show. But then later in the afternoon Mike left a message to say his camera broke while servicing another customer. What happened to our visit at 10:00?  Then on Monday, we get another message from the schedule department that they are coming out between 8 and 1. Never spoke to anyone about a reschedule especially when we would not be available. Then another call saying they came by and no one was home, as if it was our fault. Then a call on Wednesday, when my husband was home and we scheduled again between 1 and 6. Gave them my husband's cell in addition to home number. Well, no call and no show!  Worst experience and very disappointed .

In 2013 this company did major repair work at my home which cost several thousand dollars.  They re-routed plumbing due to a leak under my slab.  They moved the pipes in the space where the dishwasher goes and re-mounted them on the drywall spacers, there was no drywall at the time due to the leak.  I didn't understand what they had done until now because I'm putting a dishwasher back in the space and discovered it will stick out to far.  This would have been obvious to a plumber unfortunately not to myself a non-plumber.  They didn't want to take the time to do it right. I will now have to pay to have someone else fix their shoddy work.  I would never do business with them again or recommend them to anyone else.

When the guy showed up he seemed okay. I wanted a water line run from to my refrigerator. It took him about an hour to figure out how he was going to do it, and then quoted me $1,400. I said I'll pass....

He then did their complementary checkup. He found a leaky drain in my bathroom and quoted me $200 to fix it. I looked and the pop-up assembly was just a little loose. It took me 30 seconds with a wrench to fix it.

His next fix was that I needed to swap my water pressure reducing valve. I'll give him some credit for finding this because my current one was broken.... His quote to fix it: $500. I found the same valve at home depot for $35 and it took me less than 10 minutes to swap it out.

When all was said and done he did nothing, but I still had to pay a $50 service charge. They very well may do good work, I wouldn't know. Had he not tried to sell me on several things I don't need, I might consider calling them next time I actually do need something.

We had only lived in our home for a couple of weeks and the toilet started overflowing.  In addition, the water would not shut completely off so it kept running a little bit which really filled up the floor in no time.  We called a couple different plumbing companies and the person we talked to at plumbing masters was really great I told her our issue and she said that all of the plumbers were out but she would put us next on the list. She called me a short while later and said she had someone in route.  It was a very quick response.  Juan came out to our home and immediately diagnosed it he had it fixed in no time.  When we explained that the water would not completely shut off he suggested he install a better type of shut off valve which we had him do (I mean when you want the water shut off you want to be assured it will shut off)  Juan went above and beyond, my husband told him about our dryer when we moved into the house the plug in was not the same type as the wall plug in so we bought an adapter, little did we know you had to take the back of, remove the old plug and connect the new one (we had not clue how to do this)  Juan stepped right in and replaced it for us, we really appreciated him doing this.  we were very satisfied

About a month later the toilet was doing the same thing,  so I called Plumbing masters out and again the person in the office was very nice she sent out Bill to check it out, It turned out to be a defective part which they replaced within 10 minutes no charge

I will definitely use this company again.  They are all very professional and get the job done quickly.

We live in a historic district in Phoenix, so the homes come with their share of plumbing challenges. I hope I'll be forgiven for not getting names, but we've had Plumbing Masters work on two of our homes within the past three months, and cannot say enough good things about them. The women who answer the phones are always cheerful, willing to listen, and work quickly to resolve any situations and get service out to their customers as soon as possible. The workmen who show up to the job are prompt, kempt (more than, so nice to see people taking pride in their uniforms!), knowledgeable, and always professional. The billing is fair and they do the job right the first time. Plumbing Masters is our go to for professional work. And all because Roto-Router didn't answer their phone (?). Keep up the good work Guys and Gals!

While I'd love to give 5 stars for the great service I received from Roger, who was here less than an hour, I'm upset that it cost $498 to replace an $80 part (garbage disposal). I realize Plumbing Masters has a mark up on that part but still, who charges over $300 an hour for labor?!? Highway Robbery!!

Excellent and quick service!  Lester was our plumber and was efficient and patient for a very difficult problem to diagnose.  Turned out it wasn't even a plumbing issue, it was a problem with our dishwasher!!  But Lester checked our lines to make sure there weren't any problems that might be contributing to the original issue.  Great company, excellent technician. Everything about this company seems poor other than front office staff. My problem was never resolved by Plumbing Masters and I ended up seeking a second opinion from another company. Not only did this company find the problem and fix it, they wern't nearly as much money (this is a nationally recognized company).

I spoke with the manager last week about finally resolving my issue. He seemed to have an excuse for every subject matter I brought up. He even told me my main line was collapsed and seeping sewer- which was NOT true. He didnt seem to know industry standard costs when I asked. I requested an itemized bill with debits and credits along with a call back last Thursday (07/31) but never recieved anything. Basically, I'm fed up and feel as if they tried gouging me of every last penny. This is by far the worst consumer experience I've ever had.

Summary:

If price is not an issue, they seem to be professional and do good work. I can't help but feel like I overpaid for the work completed. At about $650 for two trips, 45 minutes of work, and 2 replaced faucet cartridges, I won't be able to afford to use Plumbing Masters again.

The Good:

* The plumber sent to fix my two leaky bathtub faucets was a licensed master plumber. He made quick work of the problem, fixing both by replacing the cartridges in around 30 minutes. From what I could tell, he did good work.

* No one has been rude or anything less than friendly and professional with me.

* They called the next day to see how things went, which I was impressed with.

* The lady on the phone that handles customer service was very friendly. She could tell I was a bit frustrated, yet she remained calm and professional.

The Bad:

* I feel like I was totally ripped off. To replace two cartridges (which cost $20 each at the hardware store), I ended up paying $450 after sales tax. A few months ago, I also had Plumbing Master's come out to install a new kitchen faucet, paying around $200 for 20 minutes of work with no parts involved.

* Looking on the internet, most estimates for a leaky bathtub faucet repair estimate a cost between $80 and $160. These estimates include a replacement cartridge and charges for 2 hours' worth of labor, and as I mentioned, this work on both faucets took about 30 minutes. Before taxes then, I seem to have been overcharged a minimum of $100, even if I assume the $160 rate per faucet.

* Apparently Plumbing Masters does not charge by the hour, as most plumbers do. They have a tiered system with a flat cost for specific repairs. The plumber mentioned that he was giving me a great deal because they had a $50 off special and he charged me about $40 less for the second faucet than the first. He inferred that a $540 bill for this minor work would be normal!

* The lady from the customer relations department did genuinely seem to want to make me happy. She first offered me a $50 coupon for my next repair, but they already have the same coupon on their website and have for many months now. She eventually offered and promised to send a coupon for $100 off my next service. The offer is appreciated, but even $100 is not enough to offset what appear to be highly inflated prices.

We had to call Plumbing Masters this week when our garbage disposal broke.  This was not the first time we've called them for various plumbing issues and they've always been awesome.  Mark B. came out to check out our disposal within 24 hours of us calling.  Mark quickly diagnosed the problem (needed a new disposal) and gave us 3 options for the grade of disposal we wanted installed.  He was very upbeat and friendly and loved talking to my curious little dog.  He finished the work very quickly, within 30 minutes.  He then checked the rest of the plumbing in the house and fixed 2 partially clogged sinks as a courtesy.  Plumbing Masters and Mark have been very good to us since we've owned this home (which has been plagued with plumbing problems from day 1) and we will definitely be using them again in the future!

Had Plumbing Masters out to repair/replace a broken hose bib.  It was $225, which was high, considering I paid $89 to replace it 2 years ago, but I said to go ahead with the work.  The assistant knocked on my door to ask if I had any other plumbing needs, for which I said no.  The sales pitch then started and he wanted to show me the shut off valves underneath the bathroom sinks and how I should think about replacing them.  He reached under the sink and turned the valve.  He also asked about my hot water heater and water softener and the maintenance that should be done.  I told him I was aware and that I wanted to stick to the job at hand...the hose bib.
In the middle of the night, my husband walked into a flooded bathroom.  The valve the technician had touched had broken causing the valve to leak.  The bathroom cabinet was saturated with water and the floor of the cabinet is bubbling up. I mopped the flooded bathroom.  Everything underneath the sink is ruined.
I called Plumbing Masters to explain what had occurred and how I didn't appreciate the hard sell that created yet another plumbing problem. They said they'd send someone out before the end of the day and I said not to bother.  I don't trust this company and would never do business with them again!

Had Plumbing Masters come out to my house as a toilet wand was flushed down my toilet by accident. Plumber wanted to excavate and demo part of our bathroom floor to remedy the problem (over $1000 dollars total). Wanted second opinion and called roto rooter to fix. They fixed the problem for 100 bucks with no demo. I have found that Plumbing Masters is very aggressive in doing things that don't necessarily need to be done for the sake of charging more to the consumer. I feel they take advantage of people who don't understand plumbing and it's somewhat unethical. If you use this company and they say there is a huge issue that will cost a ton of money, ask for a second opinion before doing anything in my opinion.

You can count on Plumbing Masters to do the job, stand behind their work and get you back up and running. This may be all you need to know but below is our experience with PM.

In April of 2013 our kitchen sink stopped draining in our 60 year old John F. Long house. It had previously stopped up before but I was always able to get it cleared but not this time.

After doing some searching on-line and checking BBB I called Plumbing Master and Johnny came out.

bbb.org/central-northern…

He spent several hours running a snake and high pressure through the drain but was not able to remove the blockage so it was determine that it was probably faking of the old pipe that had caused an impassable obstruction.

The obstruction was a ways away from the sink where the drain line tied into the main line in a bathroom just off the kitchen, which was approximately 20 feet away from the sink.

The solution was to replace the drain line, which meant cutting through the slab removing the old cast iron pipe and replace with new PVC.

This all went smoothly but certainly was a huge project, messy due to dust and a costly one at nearly $9,000.00 but once done we had a usable kitchen drain again.

All this worked ended up in a DYI kitchen remodel as the flooring had to be replaced and the kitchen sink cabinet had to be cut up (my decision) to make accessing the under the sink work easier.

On August 21st  of 2014 my wife called me and said the kitchen sink was stopped up and she could not it cleared. When I got home I checked the trap and that was not where the blockage was so we called PM again.

Here is where you find out if a company you have dealt with before is a great company. Will they stand behind their work?

At approximate 5:30 PM sent two men out in 30 minutes and after using snakes and camera and locating where the camera stopped (it did not show a picture because it was under water) the locator showed the stoppage was right where they had made the connection for the initial repair.

Both my wife and I thought oh no the repair did not work or failed and they will have to tear into the slab again to fix it.

You know how DIY projects can drag on sometimes and I was just getting to the final stages of completion of a complete kitchen remodel. We were stressed out to say the least. Since it was 7:00 in the evening and they would not be doing any additional work that night the resolution to the problem would not come until the next day.

Johnny who had been involved with the initial project came back along with Matt together they worked on the blockage and got it cleared and ran a camera through to make sure the original fix was done properly and it was. Big relief there.

Many companies would have stopped here but not Johnny and Matt they wanted to find out what the blockage was so they moved to the bathroom, pulled the stool and began working there.

Unfortunately due to the way plumbing was done 60 years ago they were not able to get the camera down the drain due to the figure 5 piping to see what the cause was but they did get a snake run through 150 feet.

We have a working drain again and will have to consider some other work to be able to access the drain with a camera to see what the issue is, roots, flaking etc.

We were not charged for the work they did in the kitchen, this included the 2 men who came out on the first trip and several more hours by Johnny and Matt.

We did pay for the extra work done in the bathroom, which would be expected, as it was work done past the initial repair.

Although we will have some additional expenses in the near future so we can get to the bottom of the cause of our stoppage it was great to know that our original assumption that the initial work was done incorrectly was FALSE.

Johnny, Matt and the other two men for this trip and all those involved with the original repair are very professional plumbers. They are all concerned with doing quality work and doing it right. Matt is a supervisor and he got lots of calls and you could tell by his responses to his crew this attitude was company wide, make the customer happy he said on one call.

You can count on Plumbing Masters and their crew to handle your plumbing problems.

We would recommend Plumbing Masters to anyone who needs help.

Had James come out to our home on 8/10/16 to flush our water heater that was installed December of 2015 as part of the warranty coverage for free. They do a courtesy home inspection it is more of a search for sales. I'm pretty sure there was something wrong with just about every plumbing fixture in our home. Nobody can explain the pricing they quote for repairs and the best part ... we didn't have hot water when they left. We discovered the next morning after some investigation that our electric panel door was left wide open and nobody had turned the breaker back on after they flushed the water heater. If James had been more focused on the real reason for coming to my home, to do the flush for the warranty. Instead of sales I'd  be a happy customer. I'll pass using this company again for any repairs. It seems they're only concerned about $$$  That doesn't create a repeat customer. You've received your last dime from our family.

I received service on my garbage disposal about a week and a half ago.  At the time, I felt I was not given the sort of options I felt I should have been given and was disappointed.  However, I was pleasantly surprised when I received a call from the owner yesterday to address my concerns.  I genuinely feel he cares about his company and is aware there were a few unfortunate events that occurred and seems to be addressing them.  I really felt he wanted me to walk away happy and that is what he accomplished.

Updated: Thank you Yelp.  As stated in the original Yelp review,  I had been calling the office for three weeks with no return phone calls. That being said the day after I wrote my YELP review I received a call from the New Manger.  His name is Matt.  Matt was very helpful. He asked me how he could help me and I stated he could meet mt at my house that day at 6:30 at night. Matt promptly said no problem and showed up at my house willing to do what ever it took to help me and fix the bad plumbing job that his company poorly completed.  He said no problem and jumped into help. I do feel that with out Matt I would have never had my plumbing job fixed. It did take three weeks to fix the plumbing, but that was understandable considering they needed to contact the neighbor's and work on thier property.  Im still waiting for them to fix the dirt that was excavated and not filled back in properly,  But im not holding my breath.

I feel that this is a fair and accurate review.  I also feel that if I had not YELPed Plumbing Masters I would have never heard from them again.

Roger Armstrong arrived for my appointment, immediately diagnosed the problem as being related to work performed by another Phoenix plumbing company, provided excellent advise in connection with dealing with that company, and refused to charge me for his trouble.  Our mistake the first time around; Plumbing Masters will be our first call next time.

Landlords beware. I had a tenant call with a stopped up toilet. So I called Plumbing masters to have them come out and then stop at. The lady on the phone was very courteous and they were very responsive, however, I was informed because this was a tenant occupied property there would be additional $49.95 service fee. I inquired as to why; there was no explanation given at all, that's just the way it is. Fortunately I had enough sense look on their website and get a $50 coupon discount. The toilet was fixed however, had I not gotten the $50 discount, to snake the toilet it would've been over $200. And finally, they did not even send a copy of the receipt; I had to call five days later and request it. When asked why they didn't send a receipt when they charged additional $50, I got a rather curt response reply that said I'll send you the receipt. In summary, service was good, but I felt a little price couch here. Won't be using them again for any of my tenant occupied properties.

Be very careful if you have a commercial business and want them to come out and quote some work for you.  They work it into the conversation that there is a service fee attached to their which is waived if you accept their quote.  Otherwise you get charged to have someone come out and give you a quote for work.  Yes, they record their calls so that you can't argue this, but it you don't catch it, they will get you for a $50 service call.

We were told that the gas line to the grill at our new place would need to be replaced by our inspector. Robin came out and did an inspection, determining that there was no need for any repair or replacement and that the work was up to code. Refreshing to find this degree of integrity. Would definitely work with them in the future.

Plumbing Masters likes to advertise $93 or it's Free, but they should really advertise $93 or it's really $279.  I had seen their ads and needed a drain cleaned, so I called for an appointment.  I explained to the scheduler that everything was draining fine except for one bathroom sink, so it should have been clear that there wasn't a problem with the main sewer line.  I scheduled an appointment for a few days later when I could be home to meet them.  When the Plumbing Masters tech arrived, I showed him the sink and explained the problem.  He told me that the $93 or it's free deal only applied if he only needed to snake out the main line through a ground level cleanout.  He then informed me that to clear my sink drain would be $279 (amazingly three times more than they advertise).  I said no thanks.  The tech then told me he could only clean my drain for $93 if I had a cleanout in the bathroom exclusively for the sink.  Since, like 99.99% of all other people, I don't have a cleanout dedicated to the bathroom sink, I declined.  He left and it was free, so that part was true (although it was a waste of both of our time).       Bottom line, I called another company that advertises in the newspaper for a $99 drain cleaning special.  I described the same symptoms to them, and scheduled with them.  Their tech came and cleaned out the drain and had it running great in less than half an hour.  My advise is to save yourself the aggravation and call the other guys first.

Excellent work! We needed a water heater replacement and Terry came out very quickly, which we appreciated - especially since it was a Saturday. The initial consultation was free, and I had a quote from another company (home depot servicer) that he said he would match. We had a very unique situation with our water heater and Terry was flexible thru the whole process, and worked with me at each step to find the best and most cost-effective solution. From the other reviews, I'm not sure about the other techs, but I would highly recommend Terry. My interactions with the main office were iffy, but I was 5-star happy with the work that was done, and in the end the office called to make sure that everything went well. That customer service call from the office was a nice touch.

Amazing company and perfect customer service from their employees. I own a restaurant and had some emergency plumbing issues with our pipes. They showed up within an hour of our call. Andreas and Roger spent over 6 hours with us to help fix the issue. The didn't stop until they tried everything to fix it. They even came back on a Saturday morning to ensure we didn't have this issue again. Will absolutely use them again and recommend them to everyone.

Although they got to my house very quickly they took forever to accomplish the job.  The guy had to go back to his office to get the snake and it took him an hour and half to get back, then to snake the drain cost $375.  After that he found a leak under the sink and said he was going to find a new pipe for the sink.  It took him 4.5 hours to come back and charged another $300.  I needed this done but I feel that I got cheated and taken advantage of.  Never again will Plumbing Masters be an option for me to call.

I called them to replace a toilet and the lady said she needed my card to bill me the service charge and then whatever the cost of labor and materials to replace the toilet, so I asked what that would be and she said she didnt know and the guy would first have to see the situation, I should have hung up then. the guy showed up 75 minutes later and first told me $500 and something for the toilet! what and that was their basic!!! I said that was way too expensive and he then said well, what were you expecting to pay, I told him around $200 thinking $100 for the toilet and $100 for labor (I know a person can get a toilet for retail at $99) He said the best he could do is $300 plus labor and so I said never mind I still had to pay the $50 service charge... geeze it would have been nice to know a ballpark figure before they charge you $50, I am not happy and will not use them.

I recently moved from California to Phoenix, so I was pretty blind when looking for a plumbing service. Due to this business's high ratings, I chose to call them. That said, if I could give negative stars I would do so. I called starting at around noon today. I explained my Emergency plumbing issue to the person answering the business number. He stated there was a tech working, and that he would call dispatch and give them my information so an appt could be set for today. A couple of hours went by with no call from dispatch. I called again, spoke to the same person, and was assured he would pass the request on. I received no call. Another couple of hours, and I called yet again. This time I spoke to a woman who stated dispatch had closed but she would call the tech.  I called a fourth time a couple of hours later because I still had not heard from anyone and spoke to the same man I had spoken to earlier in the day. He explained he was the answering service for the company and he knew the company had been called. He was very courteous and expressed concern because it was obvious no one from the company was helping me. So, here's the thing for me:  Don't  say you are open 24/7 when you aren't. If the company is overwhelmed on a Sunday (or any other day), have the courtesy to call customers and let them know, OR, tell the answering service to say you're not accepting any more appointments, or you are just closed. This is Incredibly poor treatment of a customer who was anxious to pay for your services! Now, I would pay to have someone from another state come in before attempting to use this company again.

VERY overpriced. I was charged $117 for the plumber to turn off our R/O system because it had a leak in it. It took him about 5 minutes... and that INCLUDED the $50 off coupon I used. YIKES, my stomach hurts after handing over that check... I'd check around before using these guys...

We had to have our hot water heater replaced and called Plumbing Masters. Robin came out and was very nice and proficient.  He replaced our hot water heater with no problem.  After the replacement, we noticed the hot water in our guest bathroom did not work, so Robin came back out and found there was so much corrosion in our pipes it had ruined a piece in the shower faucet.  The since faucet also had to be replaced due to corrosion.  We had installed a water softener years ago when we first purchased this house, and apparently it never worked properly (if at all). Thats why there was so much corrosion. Robin did all the work requested.  Mike and Mark also came out and tested our water and found it to be extremely hard (again from the water softener not working properly) We ended up purchasing a water conditioner and filter system.  We have been very pleased with the exception of Plumbing Masters NOT giving us a 10% military discount like we were told. Their prices might be higher, but the work is done professionally and promptly. and Robin, Mike and Mark are great guys to work with and very personable. We will definitely use Plumbing Masters again if we ever need any plumbing work done.  I recommend them highly.

Review of Plumbing Masters & 72 Degrees

If you're looking for professional, well-educated plumbers and HVAC technicians, this is the place for you. If you are looking for a high-cost and no-bargaining-allowed plumbing and HVAC company, this is the one for you too.

In February (2013) we contacted Plumbing Masters and 72 Degrees because we have a Gold Club Lifetime Membership with them. The HVAC tech came over and offered a quote to replace a three and four ton unit, with heating. He was extremely courteous and offered the written quote. When I told him the initial quote was nearly $8,000 more than their competitor, he kindly called his office and spoke to the general manager (he told me it was the GM). After a few more phone calls and a bit of uncomfortable haggling, the price came to only $6,000 above the competition.

He asked the type of units being quoted and I informed him that they were Carrier. He mentioned that he was quoting Trane. I asked the price for Carrier and he informed me that, Carrier would be the same price I quoted the Trane because we do not carry the Carrier brand. Even after negotiation, the quote remained $6,000 higher than the competition. I asked about our 15% discount as being members of the Gold Club and I was informed that the discount was applied.

We went with the competitor for $11,500 instead of 72 Degrees for $17,500. Service was done in about six hours with a team of eight techs and the owner of Rainbow Air. Drywall fixes were included too.

On April 9, 2013, we had the company's plumbers [Plumbing Masters & 72 Degrees] come out for an annual service inspection as part of our Gold Club Lifetime Membership. The two gentlemen suggested three things: replace the ball valve for the main shut-off outside, replace the angle stops and supply lines for all sinks and toilets, and replace the valve on the hot water tank. I agreed on the first two options, but also informed them that after they gave me a written quote that I would call around for two more quotes because of the whole HVAC issue.

The plumbing tech was nice enough to contact the owner of the company (he said it was the owner anyway) and inform him of my HVAC issue and that I'd be calling for other quotes for plumbing too. The owner said he'd work with us to retain the business. We received the following quotes for moving the main shut-off ball valve and replacement, replacing the angle stops and supply lines on seven sinks and four toilets at $429, and $175 per pair respectively. That would be $1545 for the entire house. Oh yeah, we would receive a 15% discount for having the Gold Club Lifetime Membership ($1,313.25).

Of course, I called the guy who did my HVAC work and asked him for a reference. He suggested I call API Plumbing. I did. The outside replacement and moving of the ball valve was $178. The inside replacement of all angle valves and supply lines was, as I was told, Time and parts. This equates to about a two to three hour job and parts, or roughly $650 max. That's less than half of 72 Degrees without any negotiation with API.
Bottom line, DO NOT PURHCASE A GOLD CLUB LIFETIME MEMBERHSIP from Plumbing Masters and 72 Degrees unless you just want them to do annual maintenance checks and then tell you what needs to be done so you can get other companies to do the work at a much reduced cost.

Now we will only use Plumbing Masters and 72 Degrees for annual service checks. Once they inform us of any needed service, we will go elsewhere.

Also, if you speak with Alex P., he said he was the Operations Manager, but I was informed that he is only the Office Manager, he will use useless analogies and rhetoric to convince you that their prices are equal to their major LARGE competitors and state that their [Plumbing Masters and 72 Degrees] overhead costs are much higher than the smaller guys, as he stated. Contrary to his belief in that uneven equation, all things being relative, their [Plumbing Masters and 72 Degrees] overhead should be quite less. Guess Alex needs to learn how to better manage the fiscal responsibilities of the Office Manager/Operations Manager's role. For the record, Alex did admit that their prices were higher than most competitors. And, he also said, We charge the same price for a million-dollar home in Scottsdale as we do for a one-hundred thousand dollar home in Maryvale.

I'm not sure if he was trying to say that competitors charge more or less based on the cost of a home, the location of the home, the demographics of the neighborhood or home, or the complete ignorance of customers. Apparently, he does not do this, as he so gallantly, but mindlessly declared.

Good to know Alex. Good - to - know.

Lee came to my home on 11/17.  Very nice and very professional.  There was a leak at the meter at the end of our driveway.  He assessed the situation and charged me $166 to bail about 2 gallons of water and dig about 8 of dirt.  I asked him if he could remove the galvanized portion where it was leaking and replace it.  He said he couldn't.  His recommendation was to remove the entire galvanized pipe which was approximately 75' of it, which means all of that dirt had to be dug up.  To dig up the dirt and replace the pipe would have cost me $3,306.  If my husband and I dug up the dirt it would have cost $1,711 to replace the pipe.  Now how hard to you think that would been for a plumber to do?  He was just connecting two ends of a pipe.  My husband and I noticed there was a PVC elbow joint pipe that was attached to the foot long galvanized pipe.  After digging in a few spots we realized it was PVC pipe not galvanized all the way through.  The only galvanized pipe was all of 12.  Didn't the plumber notice that?  Or did he and didn't say anything.  That's not being very thorough or honest.  If he would have check further he would have done just what we did.  My husband was able to removed the galvanized one and replace it with PVC for a total cost of $25.  Why wasn't a professional plumber able to do that?  Possibly because he was selling me on a $3,306 job?  Not to mention I was charged $166 for 10 minutes of work.  That's quite a mark up.  I'm not happy.  I feel like I was being taken advantage of.  I can't afford $3,000.  Can you imagine paying that kind of money to someone only to find out it wasn't necessary?  I will not be using Plumbing Masters again.  I need someone who is thorough and someone who was willing to work within my budget, like removing the leaking pipe and replacing it.  It was obviously doable, expect to this guy.  Never again.

My parents moved here in March and right after they got in their house they had one of the toilets back up. We called this company and they came out and ran the snake and cleared the pipe. Then they put the camera down and told us there was a leak in the sewer pipe under the slab. They offered to locate the leak for 300 dollars so we had them do that. Then they said for them to fix it the cost would be around 4700 dollars. We thought maybe the  home warranty company would fix, but not. So we rented a jack hammer and began the work ourselves. We got the concrete out and began digging and digging they told us it was 2 feet done, but it was farther. Then when we finally found the pipes we couldn't find the leak so we dug more and more. We traced like 4 pipes for several feet, no leak. So we called the company and asked for a refund since they didn't locate leak, they would not give refund but sent someone out to re located we had to wait several hours then they showed up and put the camera down again. Then when they located the leak area it was only a coupler. I am not a professional but they are supposed to be. Then they tried to say there was another problem with the slope and it would be 11,000 to fix. We asked them to leave we filled the hole back up poured concrete and put the carpet back. It has been several months now and no problem. I feel like this company just saw some older people that they could take advantage of, or just they couldn't admit their mistake either way they did not leave me confident with this company. DO NOT
USE THIS COMPANY!!! Every time I hear their commercials I just want to scream they are not the people to call.

Terry Hind arrived promptly at the stated time. Our issue was that the bathroom shower was not getting any cold water so was too hot to use.  He diagnosed the problem right away.  When he went to turn off the water at the outside shut-off valve, he found it was too corroded to shut off.  I had to call the city to have the main turned off and Terry was very accommodating to go buy the needed parts while we waited.  The repairs were made in good time and to our complete satisfaction.

We had a clogged kitchen sink so we called Plumbing Masters. The guys showed up on time, but after assessing the situation and while I had stepped out of the kitchen, one of the men used my EMPTY FLOUR CANISTER to bail the dirty water plus the Drano we had used into a bucket. My canister!!!! It had been sitting on the counter within reach, where I'd left it so I could refill it with flour, so he just apparently grabbed it and assumed I wouldn't mind having a baking product container filled with filthy greasy chemical-laden water over and over. Then, as if that wasn't bad enough, he opened the cabinet under the sink and proceeded to remove clean folded kitchen towels I store in there on top of a potato bin, setting them right on the floor! I was standing right there next to him, and he could have handed them to me (!!) but he laid them on the floor, and when I told him to move and I'd handle the rest of the towels under there, he wouldn't, he said he had it taken care of. Yeah, by placing clean towels on the floor where he and his partner had been walking, maybe after coming from a sewer clean out job, right? And no, neither one of them put on disposable booties to do our job. Not at all. Ah, but his partner hadn't done a whole lot of walking there anyway because for most of the time they were at our house, that guy had sat out in the truck. When the sink was unclogged, he came back in and proceeded to try to sell us on a drain clean out job that he said would cost about $1,200. Oh hell no. We were polite and said we'd think about it, but we weren't going to do that by a long shot and I didn't want anything more to do with them because of the flour canister and towel thing. This took place several weeks ago and we've had no drain problems since then, not at the sink or between the sink and the main outside. If we ever do, we certainly won't be calling Plumbing Masters.

Jessie and his apprentice came to my house promptly the day my water main broke. I had mostly dug out the hole to see where the leak was coming from. I was very shocked when he said that he would charge me $200 to dig out the remaining dirt to assess the leak. I agreed to let him do the job and pay the price. He showed me the leak and gave me estimates to spot repair the leak and to replace the entire water one from the meter to the house with PEX line. I feel he was using scare tactics to persuade me to go the expensive route. I did not give in and chose the spot repair. He worked on my property for about three hours, although he had to make a few trips to the store and was not there the whole time. His repair failed about three weeks later and I had the company come out again. The company sent a different technician over that same day (Sunday). I was impressed that the company was so quick to respond!

I scheduled Plumbing Masters for a repair of my 10-year old+ 50-gallon water heater.  The office was courteous and professional in the sceduling process and even accomodated my request for an appointment after 5pm so that I did not have to take off time from work.  Jose arrived on time and put in a valiant effort to remove the old heating elements and install new ones. However, after 2 hours of work, including a shopping trip to purchase a specialized wrench, he could not remove the bottom corroded element.  So at that point we were discussing purchase of a new water heater.  To my dismay, the cost estimate was $1600 just for the heater itself, and installation would have been a few hundred more!!  They apparently sell only one brand, so there is no flexibility with pricing.  They promote their online monthly coupons which help a little, but their pricing was significantly above the $999 phone quotes (heater AND installation) I had received from a couple of competitors.  Even though I was very impressed with Jose, I could not give him my business for a new heater.  We discussed my purchasing a unit on my own and getting a reduced installation quote from them; but in the end, I went with another locally-owned family business that charged only $650 for the water heater + installation.  I was pleased I made this decision.  Plumbing Masters provides great customer service, but on water heaters I feel they are not at all price-competitive.

It has been five weeks with no flooring and there is still no end in sight. A plumber came out and flooded the living room and entire basement. Get this- he decided to flush the toilet before snaking it... Plumbing 101. But there were other terrible decisions he made that caused a lot of the flooding. They tore out the flooring so we have been living on concrete and plywood for five weeks and they still don't know when they will start installing new flooring. If you want to live on concrete and plywood call these guys!!!

I had Plumbing Masters out on 1/15/2015 to install a toilet. The service rep (Cody) told me it would be $500 to install which I thought was a bit high. He told me that for $563 I could get it installed and get a service contract for 3 years.  Not really understanding what he meant I figured that for a few extra dollars this was ok. After the service was done I realized he charged me $235 to install the toilet (still high) and $328 for the service contract.  I wrote the company on 1/16/2015 to cancel the contract and refund me the $328.  As of today, one month later, I have not heard form the company. While happy with their service in the past, I feel I was misinformed on the actual cost of the service contract.

May this be a warning to all needing plumbing services.

My wife and I called Plumbing Masters to solve a problem we were having with a new water heater. We felt the positive online reviews made them the best choice for a plumber. They politely answered the phone, which we liked. Then, we were told that we would have to pay $49.95 for someone to come out and diagnose our plumbing problem. Then we would be told how much it would cost to actually fix the problem. I asked the youing man to repeat back to us what the $49.95 charge was for. He did so. I asked if that charge could be applied towards the final bill. He said yes. I joked that might simply mean they charge me $49.95 more for the repair. He said they were very professional and would never do such a thing. Because we have had several bad plumbing experiences in the past, I asked him one final time what the $49.95 was for. He repeated it was to come out and determine the plumbing problem, prior to giving me a quote for the cost of repair. We agreed to the terms.

A young man arrived and spent five minutes listening to what was going on with our new water heater. He asked several questions and asked us to turn the main water on and off several times. My next door neighbor was also present during the work. The young man from Plumbing Master made a pnone call to his boss and asked a few questions. He walked into the alley so that I was unable to hear what he was saying. He came back and placed a Plumbing Masters bill in front of me. He had crossed out the $49.95 charge written on it and wrote in $175 just below it. He stated he did not know what the problem was yet but that I would have to write him a check for $175 in order for him to figure out the problem. I told him we agreed to pay $49.95 for him to find the problem, and that I was very specific regarding that fee. He said the $49.95 is merely the cost of him driving to my house and that we must now pay $175 for him to find the problem. I got upset and told him to call his own dispatcher and verify what I had agreed to. He offered to lower the price to $115. My wife was nearly in tears and I was furious at being extorted by this crooked company. We agreed. He was clever because he already knew what the problem was (a temporary plug was left in the new shower rough in and it was blocking proper water flow). He told me it would cost another $275 to fix the problem. We agreed and he removed the plug in the shower rough in. This took less than 30 seconds. He asked to be paid and wanted to leave. I told him just because he said that would solve the problem, he hadn't tested it out to see if hot water would now flow from the water heater. He complained but said he would reattach the lines and test it out. As he attached the first copper line, it snapped and broke. He looked at me and blamed me, saying I had weakened it before he arrived. He toild me he would repalce both the copper lines with new (cheaper non-copper) lines for only $100 more. We had no choice if we wanted hot water.

A couple days later we got a call from Plumbing Masters, asking us if we were satisfied with the service call. I told the woman that Plumbing Masters should give all their technicians handguns so they could more easily rob people, because we felt we were robbed and lied to. Later that day, a manager from Plumbing Masters called me to tell me he felt the technician bent over backwards to satisfy us and that he had given us discounted prices for the work done. Seriously, are you kidding me. What about lying to us and saying the $49.95 service call that we were told was to determine our plumbing issue? The jerk lied and said it was only to pay him for driving to our house. Even the higher ups, the managers of Plumbing Masters are crooks.

We have disputed the final bill with American Express and they are withholding paymeny until the matter is investigated. Our next call will be to the Better Business Bureau, to warn them about illegal business practices by Plumbing Masters. Maybe Fox 10 will do an undercover sting and catch them ripping off others.

Also, the manager made it sound as if he and his staff count heavily on consumer reviews, which he no doubt pads with positive reviews his staff post. Beware, be warned, Find yourself an honest plumber. Warn others that Plumbing Masters is a dishonest company.

I called plumbing masters to fix a broken water heater. It was a minor repair and I felt the price quote was noticeably higher than what I thought it should be.   I decided against having them fix the problem and just took care of it myself saving hundreds of dollars.  After posting a review, plumbing masters called me and wanted to make it right and refunded my call out fee which I appreciate.

we had a plugged dishwasher line and a leak under the sink on Saturday 6/8/2013 so we called plumbing masters out, they gave us a time of 10am -2pm the guy was here a little before 2 which was fine, however he did not seem to know very much about dishwashers as I had to instruct him on how to remove the dishwasher  arm  and how to reinstall a cover, (with me having eye surgery just 2 days prior) all he did was wire the drain hose up with a wire, he never even checked the leak, for the price of $157.70 I feel the cost was way too much
