Jerry from Penguin Air showed up on time and very knowledgeable on water heaters/Softners.. Also Jerry took time to explain what wrong with my water heater.

Overall excellent experience. I absolutely recommend these guys.

We had a plugged main sewer line at our tri-level home in Tempe.  Zair and Matt came out from Penguin Plumbing right on time.  They were very professional, friendly, and efficient!!  They snaked the line and also ran a camera thru the line.  We couldn't be happier with the service and personnel from Penguin.  Thank you

Penguin Air was a life saver for my family this week! Our air conditioner stopped working completely and we were miserable. Penguin had a tech out in a matter of hours and the repairs were  made WITHOUT breaking the bank. Highly recommend!

they came and convinced me to go with $77 special clear drain w/ camera.
I had to paid up front...later they left with my drain still clog and no camera inspection.  
Fraud alert!!!
THEY NEED TO BE UPFRONT IF THEY CAN NOT DO THE JOB RATHER THAN TAKE MY $ AND LEFT ME HANGING.  Accused me of not paying?  what? does not fix my clogged drain.  100% Satisfaction Guarantee? let see.  PAID IN FULL BUT JOB INCOMPLETE.  $77 down the drain and its still clogged. OMG!  George Brazil ( If we can't clear the drain it's FREE!!!) would have done a better job and better pricing .

These guys just quoted $900 to replace a small pipe- total rip off!! I would not recommend these guys.

Luis from the overflow team was extremely unhelpful and did not know any information about the company, he was not aware of any pricing and was not able to verify if an appointment was cancelled or any other information I asked from him. Once I was able to get off the phone with him I called the company again and another representative picked up and she was able to give me info about pricing, was able to confirm a plumbing cancelation and any other question I asked. Extremely disappointed in the lack of knowledge and customer care from your representative Luis.

They were hired to main our air conditioning unit yearly.  They came to perform their inspection this year, but came back to us with a statement that indicated the air conditioning was broken couldn't be fixed and we should replace it with a $14,000 air conditioning unit. We decided to get a second opinion as I noticed, is very important in this business, and that company came back with the fact that it just needs refrigerant added to it and there is very little, if nothing wrong with it. I see that there are a number of similar type of complaints about this company and I certainly wouldn't hesitate to have them do any type of service work for me. We are in the process of trying to get our money back for the service contract as they obviously are not doing very well.

Our AC broke on the hottest day yet in Arizona, June 8th.  Phoenix officially hit 110 degrees for the first time. My first call was to our current AC Company that installed our mini-split, Howard Air.  Howard couldn't come out for 3 days. I reminded Howard Air our home was 85 degrees inside and that we have an existing service appt on our mini-split June 9th.  Vincent advised the tech will not have time to service the house AC's.  OMG so disappointed, so my next call was Penguin Air.  Nathan White with Penguin arrived within 90 minutes and had us running ICE COLD in 30 minutes or less.  Nathan was very professional, open and honest.  We appreciate you guys - thank you.   NOTE on Howard Air: they cancelled their June 8th appt. (tech called off), missed the reschedule appt for June 19th and now we are waiting for our 3rd appt June 22nd.  If it wasn't a Free Warranty Appt on the Mini-Split I would cancel and have Penguin Service it.

I was referred to Penguin air by a friend. A/C emergency and they were out within an hour. Jimmy was the technician and he was great. He was able to patch up our system to keep us cool until new system installation. I would recommend to friends and family.

My AC stopped working Labor Day weekend.  Penguin had a technician at my home quickly.  I opted to replace my unit. Penguin got my AC working until my AC could be replaced, which was only 2 days later. The office staff and salesperson was very responsive with any additional questions I had. The installers were prompt, neat and addressed all my concerns.  I am just waiting on my SRP rebate confirmation.  So far Penguin did everything they said they would do.

I was having problems with my kitchen sink and dishwasher leaking. After an initial repair yesterday the water was still leaking into the dishwasher. I called Penguin Air about it yesterday and they were able to get Shawn and Jackson out this morning. They took care of the problem quickly and efficiently. Shawn answered my questions and was very kind and helpful, as was his assistant, Jackson.

EDIT: not sure why I am showing as being in San Francisco!   I am definitely in Phoenix, loool!!

They replaced my water heater yesterday.  The work is simply top notch.  They fixed all the bad choices made by both the original builder, and the previous plumber that replaced the original WH.  My WH now sits in an actual drain pan, so that if anything goes wrong, it will actually drain out into my garage, rather than continuing to ruin the drywall and framing that houses the WH in my house.

And the workers did the best they could to patch/repair the surrounding drywall.  All while completely masked, and they left no mess in their wake.

Penguin may not be the cheapest, but they are worth every $.  

For the record, I also used them for an A/C replacement a few years ago.   And later for a warranty fix of the air handler.   They have never disappointed.

Also for the record, I have no affiliation with them, beyond being a customer.

I see that they have been reviewed for this same reason with the BBB. I have the annual VIP plan and they make it sound like the savings of all savings when you sign up.  I called them to look at my toilet that would not fill back up with water.  Within 5 minutes of arriving, E told me I needed a new toilet, that toilets only last 8-10 years.  I could have the mechanics within the toilet replaced but I would only be buying 6 months before needing to replace the toilet.  (After all of this I called other plumbers to find out how long toilets last and I told them my story, didn't even have to say who told me this and they guess Penguin due to other calls they had received).  In the midst of removing my old toilet, the plumber to my wall all wet but claimed it was happening already.  He said I can have our restoration team come out and look at it, you won't have to pay anything, it will be covered by your home warrenty ($$$) It took 5 days to get hold of someone, finally had a call from the Plumber Mgr, Louie call me back, clueless.  I had asked for the mfg code/style number so I can see exactly what the description, are you sitting for this one, he said toilets don't have style numbers, you just pick up a toliet.  Well then how do you determine the price,  He eventually said he would look into it and get back to me....still waiting.  Tried to speak with the GM named Jay, conveniently he is on vacation. They are scammers, do not fall for they VIP because you will not get faster service or better pricing.

They quoted my friend 767.00 to fix two leaky toilets which were due to a rubber seal. He you tubed the problem and fixed it for 13.00 and took him only 7
minutes to do both toilets!! BUYER BEWARE!!  Check your options first and definitely don't call these scammers for help!!

Horribly overpriced.  Tried charging 8200 to replace an ac unit after the fact of me paying for a monthly service charge for 2 units.  On top of that tried selling me on a new a/c unit prior to even doing maintenance on one of my units.  Also got dinged 2x for canceling my service since i have 2 ac units

My AC was acting up about a week ago Sunday.  Called for a tech and Brian came and fixed the issue.  Well, the AC had an issue on 6/15 and I called and Brian came out again with JD.  Sadly my AC unit is really old.  Brian was very helpful and was honest with his diagnosis.  Fix for $3K or look at a new unit.  Brian did his best to get pricing and financing.  Unfortunately, due to financial circumstances he was unable to get us financed for a new AC unit.  I will look as my unit is on borrowed time.  I just wanted to thank Brian and JD for their professionalism and how they treated us and for the work they did to try and keep me and my family from melting in our home.  While I was unable to buy a unit from them, I would use them again for repairs.  Thanks.

This company signed us up for a discount plan after we expressed no interest in doing so. When I called to try cancelling the plan, the extremely rude operator told me that there would be a $60 cancellation fee, and that we would be charged retroactively for every discounted service they provided to us. Who the hell back charges for already discounted services? On top of it all, during one such service, the technician referred us to a shady and unprofessional home improvement company that ultimately charged us $10,000 for haphazardly completed and needlessly delayed work that they incorrectly ensured us would be covered by home insurance. This is a company full of gaslighting bullies who do not have their customers' best interests at heart.

Negative stars for this bunch of thieves.  I bought a brand new full system,  promised the world for warranty and now, when some issue has occurred,  they just upsell, upsell, upsell and do NOTHING.

Got nowhere with them so I called a Reliable company who is addressing the issue.

The original purchase and install was a fiasco too.

I own many homes throughout the valley,  I'm a Realtor and active in the lending industry.  I will absolutely share my experience and steer, good honest folks far from this company.  

I am not worried about them putting a contract out on me,  because they don't honor their contract.

I would not recommend this company for any service! Last June my 84 year old mother's A/C went out. Penguin Air was able to come out first thing in the morning. They didn't ask use what we wanted and since we have never been through anything loke this before, we figured they knew what they were doing. We were wrong! We wanted a new new A/C unit and what they installed was a new heating and air conditioning unit that was so big, it belongs in a house and not a mobile home! the a/c has never worked right (does not cool down the place). They came out and said it was due to a few small holes in the trailer, however those were fixed and it still didn't cool very well. Also the unit was so big, they couldn't get the front door on it and it is so loud my mother cannot sleep in her bedroom. She had to move the her spare bedroom on the other side of her home. Penguin air would not do anything to correct the problem. Now that she needs her heater and it isn't working. We didn't know that Penguin air had put in the heater as well until we called them. It's a bran new heater and it does not work! They have to get a part to fix it! I believe they took total advantage of an old woman and got ride of one of there bad heating and air conditioning units! Shame on them, they sould have put the correct size unit in to begin with and they should have ask what we wanted!

They installed our new AC unit. Working fine, and then a few years in it stops working. No big deal, we're in Arizona so those units are worked hard. I called them Tuesday around 3:30pm and understandably they couldn't send someone same day. They told me they could send someone the next day after noon so I'm thinking ok, someone will be by around 1-2pm ish. Come Wednesday, almost 7:30pm (well over 24 hours of 90° in my house) and we have yet to have the technician call with the 30min pre-call. I understand that we are all a little stretched regarding labor, but this is an urgent matter in that it's high temperatures for extensive time and I also have pets to consider. I called multiple times in which they just said, you're next on the list and they know to call you 30mins prior to arrival.

Thank goodness the outside temps have dropped, or this could be extremely hazardous to our health. Now we're still waiting, currently just in our car since it's now cooler outside with the sun being down.
