We recently had Gilbert Painting over to repaint the exterior of our two story house and to do some interior work in our front room and kitchen. They did a great job!   We got a quick estimate appointment and once we agreed to the cost, we gave them our preferred work dates and set it up.  The workers arrived in a timely manner each day, worked long days and got the entire job (inside and out) done in one week.  We have solar screens which had to come down and go back up and they did that too. They cleaned up well and we had a final walkthrough with no followup needed.  I'd definitely recommend this company.

I went to several companies for exterior quotes, and Graham arrived on time, looked at the whole house, and quoted me on the spot with no haggling, or add on fees. Very knowledgeable and very easy going guy, that I felt comfortable dealing with.

The guys arrived on time to tape off the house and prep or painting. We were so impressed with them, that we paid them up front, and went on vacation. A week and a half later when we returned, the house is immaculate. Perfect work! Nothing for me to clean up, no shortcuts taken, everything we discussed, was painted properly, stucco was patched, just a great job!

Would we use again? Absolutely. Will we tell others? Yes we will. Thank you for a great job Gilbert's Painting!

I was referred to Gilbert's by a neighbor who just had his home painted. I called and they came out in a day or two and gave me a quote. They were pretty booked at that time but less than a week later they called due to a cancellation so I went from 6 weeks out to the next day.
They showed up in the morning and they got to work instantly, no waiting around. They were literally working within a couple minutes of getting here.  They did a great job and were priced very similarly to the other quotes I received. I highly recommend Gilbert Painting!

I wish our complex had chosen a better company or at least one who vets their employees. Our complex is being painted by this company and their employees came onto my patio, with no notice, and damaged several of my children's toys to the point they are unusable. Their brand new 300$ play kitchen was completely demolished and broken for no reason, my grandmothers hand painted patio table was scratched, chipped and left with fingerprints from workers from the paint being used on our building (a grey) when the table is wooden and floral, I'm saddened by the destruction caused, and the employees coming banging on my door claiming to be the owner and lying saying that we were given noticed when we documented everything, and they're not going to compensate us for the damaged toys. Money doesn't grow on trees and we work hard to give our kids the little we can and these workers just came in and destroyed their things. And nothing is being done, they're just being extremely rude to us. One banging on my door demanding entry like he's the police, just absolutely disrespectful and their commercial team should be more accountable. Very disappointed. User beware.

We used Gilbert's Painting to paint our the entire exterior of our car wash and surrounding walls. Travis and his team did a great job - fast, efficient, and great quality work. They masked everything off property and we're very happy with the end result. Will be hiring them again in the future for other projects.

Got an estimate several months ago for exterior painting and they still honored it.  

My house looks great but there cleanup was minimal and they did not protect my pool from scrapings and paint like Travis said they would.  Foreman said if I run into problem with the pool cleanup let them know and they will get it fixed.  I'll be picking up debris off the ground and orange painter tape off the house for a while and trash from the workers lunch.

We just had them paint our exterior and it looks amazing.  They did a great job, were very easy to work with, and prices were extremely reasonable.  The people were nice and extremely accommodating even when we were a bit difficult.  Love that they are a local company and we will be willing to use them anytime

We had Gilbert's painting just complete our outside home painting.  What a great job they did.  The house looks absolutely beautiful.   They did a great job taping up our windows.  They covered all our furniture so there would be no overspray.  They also made sure everything was cleaned up.   Very professional crew.

Just had the interior of our home painted. Walls, doors, baseboards, and ceilings. Everything looks just perfect. We had a few drywall issues, and they took care of those, as well. During the walkthrough, we found two extremely minor issues, and those got resolved the next day.  Our house looks better than I could have imagined.  I plan to recommend Gilbert's Painting to everyone I know.

I can't say enough good things about this company. I hired them to paint my house exterior. The prep work was extensive and meticulous; their crew addressed issues I wasn't even aware of. As a result my house doesn't just look re-painted, it looks like a new house. Other people have complained about overspray and cleanup issues, but we did not have any such problems.  The painting was immaculate and the crew cleaned up after themselves.  I also highly recommend the color consultant they use, Julie Child. She was extremely helpful.

When working with Gilbert's painting to get my house painted, the experience went overall pretty well.

Fast forward 18 months and my neighbors decided to use them as well. This experience has been a nightmare. The painters sprayed over the wall and covered my garden in paint. No warning that they were going to be painting said wall. Graham apologized via phone on Thursday, April 5 and we agreed they'd come clean up the rest of their leftover paint chips from our yard...

While Graham was here on Friday, April 6, I told him that I'm too upset to talk with him and asked my husband to handle. Graham then said do you think we did this on purpose?  Really? You wouldn't have 5 star reviews and myself recommending you if this was your business practice.

I am beyond disappointed to be the neighbor of any project they are a part of.

It's now been a week and I had my landscapers clean up after your crew.

We had the exterior of our home and block wall painted. Their prep work was very good. The Paint job was great. The guys were friendly, hard working and arrived on-time everyday to work. During the walk through, it was obvious we had been listened to when we advised them about the area's we had concerns about. We were pointed out our areas of concern before we could even ask, and they looked great!  We will certainly be recommending Graham, Steve, Ozzie and crew @Gilbert's Painting LLC to everyone we know as well.

Good prices & great quality of work. I have used Gilbert's twice to paint my interior of our home and they do such a great job. Would recommend to anyone looking for a trusted, Hugh quality painter service.

I really wish this company didn't behave so inappropriately. When paying, they only accept a check. This is very old school. Usually they have a POS device or such these days. All I wanted to do is pay with my debit card. They said someone would call me back. They never called me back. Then I called and they said they would run it and proceeded to run it for hundreds more than the invoice. When that didn't go through they treated me like trash. I explained to them they were running it for more than they said. I waited again for someone to call me and the next call was an aggressive message to lien on my home. They proceeded to pre lien AFTER I had submitted and money was in their bank account. These people working in billing have a lot of issues. The actual project manager and painters are fine. The people running billing are absolute chaos and ridiculous. They ruined any future business I would have given. What a disgraceful way to treat your customers. Disgusting

I have used this company now three times. This will be the first one that didn't get five stars. The painters on this job rushes and didn't pay full attention to detail. I had to touch up some spots that were missed after the job was done. But again, this is my first review that wasn't five stars.

I contacted Travis on two separate occasions via text to paint an exterior wall.  Both times he failed to show up.  He never text me or called me to cancel. Very unprofessional.  Unreliable.  

I don't recommend using this company.

From start to finish this was a phenomenal transaction. Always responsive from the quoting process to the completion of the project. I couldn't be more pleased with the job completed. A+++ I will be a returning customer to say the least. Thank you!!!

Called three times to get an estimate and was told each day they would go by two properties and email the estimate. Each time they answered the phone it was oh yeah I was just getting ready to call you he will be out there today and we will have it emailed. Gave an extra 24 hrs and refuse to call a 4th time. If they can't function  to give an estimate I am worried of the disfunction and fight to get them to finish two homes. Lost my business, but I guess you didn't care or want it.

Never showed up on time, painting look great but when you get up on ladder, paints over dust dirt nothing is wiped or sanded top of doors and cabinets feel like grit paper.
Poor customer relations, once he was on his money then he started to show up.  Finished day the furniture came.

I recently used Gilbert's painting after I moved into a new house that the builder painted the wrong color and refused to change. Dan was super friendly and professional and gave me a super fair deal. They were on time and finished same day. The house looks great and He left me with all the extra paint. I would definitely recommend them to anyone.

Great work for a great price! I had an exterior paint job done and it only took about 2 days to finish. I have a 25 year old house that had paint turning to chalk and all the wood fascia was peeling. I recieved a quote from Travis that was right in my price range and what i expected to pay, I called about a month later and he schedule me in pretty fast. Travis is a nice guy who actually knows you by name and hires really nice guys to do the work. They were quiet and very good about working around my garden. I have some seedlings just coming up and they all survived! ( my garden is right against the back wall that was painted) There was absolutely no mess when they were finish, in fact, other than the house being painted i would not have known anyone was here. He was also very good about working around my work schedule for getting the quote and picking up payment.

It was time to have our house painted, as the trim paint was deteriorated badly, and the paint on the foundation was chipping severely. A friend at work had used Gilbert's Painting to have his house painted recently with great results, so I had them come by and give me a quote.  The estimator was very friendly and informative, while we walked around the house and he took pictures of areas that needed special attention and repairs.

I received a very professional proposal via e-mail a couple of days later.  It included photos of the repairs needed (that would be included in the price for the job) as well as some optional things such as replacing the garage door rubber seals, painting the gate to the backyard, repainting the backyard walls, etc. The prices were competitive with what my neighbor recently paid to have the same floor plan house painted.

We decided to use Gilbert's Painting for the job, and boy.... am I glad we did!  The 3 man team was very professional and efficient.  They completed the job in two days (day two was about a 1/2 day), and the paint job looks FANTASTIC!  They did a great job with the edges between the 4 colors on the house.  They removed several small items that we had hanging on the house (security lights, bird feeder, thermometer, etc) and did a great job of masking off the things that couldn't easily be removed, like the porch and carriage lights.  They protected all of our concrete (porch, front walkway, side walkway, etc).  On day #2 I was excited to get home from work and see the finished product, but I was also concerned about what chores were going to be waiting for me. Would I need to pick up some tape, paper, trash around the house, and would I need to install some of our things back onto the house?

I am thrilled to say that besides the paint job looking fantastic, the crew did an amazing job of cleaning up after the work was done!  I didn't find a single piece of tape, scrap of paper, or any debris anywhere around the house.  They reinstalled every single thing that they took off the house the day before.  My only chore was to crack open a beer as I walked around the house, admiring the high quality paint job.

I will absolutely recommend Gilbert's Painting to friends, neighbors, and coworkers.  Great job!

At first it was hard to tie them down to a date, Sunny is a very busy person. Then she found a date which was perfect for us and off we went. The rest of the experience was incredible! She helped pick some nice colors we hadn't considered. The painters were professional and skilled. They brought in four guys and our condo was beautifully painted in 3/4 of a day. We are so happy, thank you!

Upon a recommendation from a member of Ahwatukee Center Court I hired Gilbert's Painting. Boy was I glad we did! They are awesome. They just finished the interior of our recently purchased condo in Tuscany Courts. I could not believe the excellent and competitive pricing but also the quality of workmanship was superb. Before I hire someone to do work for me, I always do an extensive search on the internet so that I don't end up with a horror story as so many people do. After doing my research, I found that Gilbert's Painting was the best for us in all areas. Price, customer service, quality, ratings, etc. Travis is so easy to work with and understands that your home is the most important thing to a family besides family. He welcomed ALL our concerns and request and fulfilled them to a tee. He also gave us suggestions that would save us money without sacrificing the quality. Travis and his team were at our house for 5 days working on our patio rebuild and painting the house. Now our home looks brand new and the patio never looked better! When Travis came to do the walk around, after completion, no walk around was necessary...the house was 100% good to go!

Quality work, done right, on schedule, and a price that cannot be beat!!!

We had Gilbert's Painting do the outside of our 10-year old home last August, as it was beginning to fade and needed some minor repairs. Travis was quick to respond to phone calls and text messages with answers to our questions. His quote was by far the best, and he gave us step by step instructions about what to expect. We had a crew at our home first thing in the morning each day, and they were completely  done in three days. The house looks brand new!!! The crew was respectful and cleaned up before leaving each day.

We were so happy with the experience that when we unexpectedly decided to move and list our home for sale, we wanted to get it move-in ready on the inside; it needed some fresh paint in the kids' rooms and the loft. We again shopped some quotes for interior paint. We decided that the amount of time and effort to do it room by room would exceed the cost of having it done professionally, and we wanted to have it done right. Again, Travis and Gilbert's Painting were SPOT ON with the quote and willing to make the  necessary fixes while the job was underway.

Travis was willing to hear our concerns and even gave us valuable advice on issues with the baseboards that we ultimately heeded. Our original house paint had faded and turned to chalk.  I got a few qoutes and Travis had the most competitive price.

Travis and his crew did a great job painting our house and now it looks like new.  They also installed new outside lights that I bought at Lowe's for free.

I have used them a number of times.  They never quite get a project to a solid completion.   They could be great if they would not do anything but paint and focus.  Taping is excellent normally,  the quality of painting is getting less quality with each passing year and now they are trying to do more than just paint..and after this last job and a complete lack of follow through that caused me personally more time and money to finish the project myself,  I'm done.  Their workmanship is not backed up at all.

Where to start, the foreman they sent to my house was court ordered to anger management classes on a weekly basis, obviously a background check wasn't performed before hiring him. Who knows what type of violence resulted those court ordered classes, I am shocked they would send a person like that to a customer's home.

I had trouble from day 1 when they started to paint. They were supposed to paint in 2 directions horizontally and vertically, when I questioned why this wasn't being done I was told that they are spraying 1 coat and overlapping it with a 2nd coat starting about mid way through the first spray (hope that makes sense), not what the contract states, I had to call Travis who gave me some BS that good painters can do it this way without issue. I figured I would give them the benefit of the doubt and continue on as it didn't look too bad, but they certainly were cutting corners on the work. (there were other issues on the outside that happened but I can only write so much)

Things moved pretty slow as there was only 2 guys on Wed, Thur & Fri  and on Sat. only 1 guy. So it took an entire week, plus Monday to finish the outside of my home. I do not have a big home, It's about 2100 sq. ft. and there was a cinder block fence surrounding my property, pretty easy job. My last house was almost twice the size and had 2 walls around my home as I lived on the water on an 1/2 acre lot, that job only took 3 days.

Now we move into the inside of the home. Monday morning the foreman wasn't there and they hired a brand new person with no house painting experience, very nice kid, but he worked with autos, not houses. (According to Travis' contract they only have highly trained crews to operate within the walls of my home) So Monday not much happened at all. The taping the kid did apparently was wrong, so on Tuesday morning they had to re-do it all over.

On Tuesday morning, we discussed all the colors & accent walls with the Foreman before anything started. 1/2 that day was shot, as again, they had to re-tape everything and the foreman had to get the paint.

On Wednesday, I saw that the foreman painted the accent wall with the wrong color, I questioned why he did that and then told him to paint the other wall in the accent color instead. I then walked into the kitchen and really got upset, he painted my backsplash which I told him not to as I was having it tiled. (Tile will not adhere to a freshly painted wall, it has to cure for about 3 weeks before I can do the backsplash now) He also painted of over some raised areas (you know when you remove a cabinet that has been painted around and there is a bump outlining the entire cabinet, that is what he painted over instead of scraping it off to have a smooth surface) that should have been scraped down, just shotty work to cut corners and get through things fast as they were behind schedule.

When I walked into the room, and noticed this,I gasped and stated I can't beleive this was painted. The foreman came into the kitchen and and asked what i was complaining about. I pointed out that the backsplash wall was not to be painted, I reminded him that I had already instructed him on that and I couldn't believe he painted over the raised areas. The foreman totally started going off on me, stating he needed my job like he needs a hole in his head, He called me an F...ing B...ch, I had to ask him several times to leave my property or I would call the Police.

I then called Travis, whom apologized, and that was it. He never stopped by in person, he never offered anything to make it better either. I asked him about the raised areas, he stated that yes, that should be shaved down before painting. He stated he would send 2 other guys so the job could get finished,

This is now a week and a half, and my inside of the home was barely started. They rushed through everyhting to get the job done and did it very poorly. There is paint residual all over, they did not clean up the excess paint, only the things we spotted immediately and pointed out,  They didn't do a final walk thru, looking everything over.
When Travis arrived on the final day to collect his money.I pointed out many issues, he stated they would be back on Mon. to fix stuff and clean up, so I paid him, BIG MISTAKE. On Monday, he  told me he was not coming, he stated that he has lost money on this job. He tried overcharging me, I had to point out the things that were incl., per his quote. He tried charging me for paint that the foreman mistakenly ordered b/c he didn't listen to my direction, one of their workers heard the entire conversation and backed me on this since they were trying to charge me for his mistakes.  They also damaged my brand new floors by dropping their sprayers on them, he refuses to fix them, now I have to file suit on him with the ROC. Do not use them!!!!!!!!! They are the worst contractors I have ever dealt with. Do yourself a favor and spend the little bit extra for a quality job.

Gilbert's Painting is really good if you are looking for a company with fair prices, concientious employees and attentive service. Graham was who I worked with on getting the estimate and he was patient as we went through the spec process and made sure color matching was right before starting the job. As you would expect after a day or so there were a couple of spots that needed retouching on our exterior and he was out with a paint brush fixing them. We are going to have them do our interior as soon as we have some new countertops in so I will send an update after that as well. I could not have asked for a more pleasant experience with a painting company.

What a great company! The owner (Travis) came out and provided a quote. We did obtain another quote from a competitor and found the services offered by Travis and team far outweighed their competitors.

They arrived on time, cleaned up everyday before leaving the job site, and completed the work in three days - on time and on budget. Our house looks amazing - they nailed it! We highly recommend this company!

Dan and crew completed a few areas in the house and overall the job looks good. They made an effort to comply with our no-shoes-inside policy without complaints by putting down paper and cardboard, they were punctual, and they completed the job on time and cleaned up very well. Communication was very good and Dan and crew were personable and knowledgeable. The real test came afterwards when a follow up visit was needed and Dan and Gary came all the way back out here and addressed our concerns to our satisfaction. They didn't balk at a little haggling, as some service providers will do. If we need more painting we'll have them back.

I needed my garage door re-painted. I called a few other places and found their quote to be the best.  

The owner came out when he said he would, got a sample to match, and finished painting in just a couple of hours. The garage door looks brand new.

I appreciated the owner's knowledge and recommendations. He answered all my questions and concerns.  I believe in supporting local businesses and this is one of the best around.

I will definitely call them for my future painting needs.

These guys were able to come on short notice, and get a pretty decent sized job in a single day. Very impressed. Best part is that they were not very expensive either. Will be using them again to do the outside of my house next year for sure! No more calling around, I found my guys.

Travis Gilbert was great!  Our house was in need of repair of stucco and caulking prior to painting.  The house came out looking new!  Travis and his crew did exactly what was agreed to and at the price agreed upon.  I highly recommend this company!

My husband and I just bought a house and boy did it have a lot of different colors.  We decided we wanted a fresh new paint job.  We are pretty new to Arizona, so we did the yelp/google search for painters in the area.  Graham from Gilbert's Painting came out and did a detailed quote for us.  We were pleased with his ability to explain the process.  He was able to get his crew out a day earlier, which was nice. We were pleased with the outcome. However, there were some existing areas that needed to be re-done.  When Graham came to the house for the final inspection I had mentioned a couple of areas I would like fixed. Graham himself came back to the house and fixed all the problem areas that we had spoke about.  He even helped touch up some additional paint areas of concern, since I'm 7 months pregnant and can't do it myself.  Overall my husband and I were very pleased with the service and the quality of work.  We will definitely contact Gilbert's Painting to come do our future outside painting job.

Started off good.  Travis came and gave me a quote to paint the Exterior of our home.  I was very happy with the price and he was friendly.   After I agreed to go with Gilbert's painting, Travis did not give me the time of day.  Any time I called with questions he told me to call his wife.  After dealing with his wife throughout the whole process. She was very nice but clearly does not have enough time to truly provide excellent customer service. She upgraded our paint for the hassle which was very nice but the poor communication continued after that.   Once the work was completed, we were very happy with it.  I had asked them for a week to provide a quote for the interior paint and they kept telling me they would send it and never did. I told them to forget about the quote and just send me a final invoice.  Travis finally has time to call me but only to ask for payment.  NEVER once did he  ask me if I was happy with the work.... This is truly a disappointing experience because his guys did a great job!!! They really need to step up their customer service. With this being said I would not recommend this company.  Good work and good customer service go hand in hand, you can't have one without the other!
