As an owner operated company, Divine Design Landscaping has the distinct advantage of direct management involvement with both customers and employees. I take the time to build a trustworthy one on one relationship with my customers and address their specific needs since each customer is different. I do quarterly follow-ups with my customers to ensure customer satisfaction and see if there are any issues that need to be resolved ahead of time. Being reliable and providing quality service gives our customers peace of mind and have the ability to enjoy their beautiful property.

HISTORY

Nathan has a bachelors degree in business management from W.P Carey School of Business at Arizona State University with a certificate in small business and entrepreneurship. While previously working for a landscape company where the owner decided to liquidate the company. One customer from that company really liked Nathan's work. That customer reached out to Nathan and was willing to buy him the necessary equipment to maintain his properties. Nathan acquired several other properties within that neighborhood and Divine Design Landscaping took off from there.

So happy we went with Divine Design for our yard cleanup and maintenance needs. They were super responsive to our online consult and even came the next day to service our front and back yard. I used Devine Design Landscaping for a recent irrigation repair project.  My system had a leak which was flooding my back yard. I contacted Devine Design via Yelp, and Nathan scheduled a time to come out and determine what needed to be done. He arrived on time, and was extremely professional.  He looked over my system, turned it on, and tested throughout. Upon completion of his evaluation told me that I needed a valve replaced and possibly some sprinkler heads.  This was opposed to other companies which wanted to replace the entire system.

At the site, Nathan gave me a verbal estimate and told me that a quote would follow.  When I received the quote, it was reasonable and inline with the verbal estimate he gave me. I approved the quote, and he was able to schedule the work the following day, and was given a time of arrival estimate.

Nathan's technician showed up on time as expected, and got to work. He spent much time adjusting things and testing as he went. By the time he was finished, I had a system which was well tuned and clear explanation of what had been done.

Within a day or two the flooding began to subside, and by a week out was more or less completely gone. The work was excellent in quality, and the company was easy to work with.  I was also able to pay for the work via their web portal.

Following the repair, Nathan contacted me to check in and see if it fixed my problem. When I told him it would take some time to really see the impact, he checked in again about a week later, and showed genuine interest in whether it was effective.

There is not enough good I can say about Devine Design. I would definitely use them again for any future irrigation or landscape projects.  

I am honestly surprised by the negative reviews I see on yelp, as my experience was smooth and professional. I would highly recommend this business.

Divine Design does my biweekly landscaping. Today, I want to emphasize what a beautiful job Jose and Javier did. They trimmed my oleander bushes and hedges the perfect amount, allowing them to still be full and blooming. Additionally, they answered all questions I had regarding some dry patches in my grass and offered to fertilize those areas. Highly recommend!

This company is simply excellent.
The jobs are detailed and thorough. Everything looks and works (irrigation) as desired. All tasks which are requested are completed perfectly and they make certain that you are satisfied.
Very easy to communicate, either via email, text, or phone. They always respond in a timely manner.

Their business had a quote for me rather quickly. And instead of it being Tuesday like I was quoted, I had woken up to them being here Monday morning. And by the looks of it they did everything I had asked.My yard was terrible and they trimmed it right to the dirt and spray it down to prevent any more weeds. I very much would recommend them!

It's nice to see folks go above and beyond to help each other out! I didn't actually work with this company but just trying to arrange for them to come over and give me an estimate was very difficult.  First I received an automated reply that said one thing, then they sent me a reply that said something else.  When I replied asking about the discrepancy they apologized and offered me a date range and time for me to schedule a visit so they could evaluate the scope of work so they could provide me with an estimate.  I replied with a day and time and was told that they were booked for that day/time.  What?? Why was I given the range of dates if they were not all available?  Bottom line I backed out because if just getting the estimate was this confusing then I didn't have confidence that they could do the job without more communication problems.  Sorry for the bad review but maybe it will help them to do better with their communication problems.

I was shocked to see some of the bad reviews as none of that was my experience and it was actually the complete opposite.
I hired this company to do a big landscape project for me. From start to finish they have been amazing to work with, from their employees to the owner! They are knowledgeable, professional, communicate, and listen to customer needs/wants. They are priced very reasonably especially for the quality of services they provided. I will continue to work with them in the future for any of my landscape needs big or small.

Our palo verde tree had grown massive roots through part of our app-controlled sprinkler system (whoops), and we had our usual landscaper, our arborist, and our general contractor all make an attempt at figuring out how to replace the electrical cords and get our sprinklers functional again.  Eventually, we asked the old owners of our house who had originally installed our system, and they told us Divine Design Landscaping.

Turns out, Divine Design was NOT the original creator of the sprinkler system, but they were able to come out within a week and diagnose and fix in one day what our other contractors had struggled with for multiple days each before giving up.  On day two, when I turned on the sprinklers, we had a brand new flood in an odd corner of our yard, and Nathan's team showed up the next day again and fixed whatever additional problem had appeared, no questions asked.

Highly recommend this group.  They're extremely professional, prompt, and were able to figure out immediately what other contractors could not.  Super happy that our trees are now receiving an appropriate amount of water going into the hot summer months!

Had service to fix a drip line that we punctured with one of the stakes from our holiday inflatables. Gentleman that came out was really nice and very quick and had no issues with service. There were some miscommunications with the office that were resolved and they are nice. Not sure if I was working with multiple people or just one which might have been the issue as most communication was via text. Personally I don't prefer having to set up a profile online for myself as I am not getting paid to do their work but seems as everyone is going to this model nowadays. Other than that, I would recommend.

Unpleasant quote interaction and poor customer service.

 I felt like the quote involved alot of unnecessary hoop jumping.
And my ending interaction with their representative was honestly pretty annoying.

I'm just glad I didn't give them any money in the end, although it did feel like a big waste of time.

Original: Had to have another company come out and redo the work. Drop lines had to be added and fixed, new irrigation system installed, essentially everything.

Update: Thank you for the business reply and for telling me everything is my fault. However, nothing broke, and all is working fine, so that was not the issue; the issue was none of the work I paid for getting done and having to pay another person to fix it after this business failed in the first place to do. Additionally, I did not appreciate the business offering a partial refund to remove my reviews. I simply wanted the work done right the first time.

They have ruined my turf and they couldn't let me know when they were coming. Such easy things and yet they just don't give a shot. Now that I've said I'm firing them, they want to call me to grovel. I've sent numerous emails about how my dog is aggressive towards men she doesn't know and to let me know when their crew is coming: did it twice. I asked they not put their high powered leaf blower directly on my turf, and now it's shifted because the sand isn't level. If you cost me more $$$$, why would I keep you on?

This company has been an absolute NIGHTMARE to work with and our greatest regret as homeowners. I could write an essay on our experience but will keep this review brief. This company is UNPROFESSIONAL, UNRELIABLE, and did a SHITTY JOB.
~ our appointment was canceled and rescheduled several times and at the last minute
~ landscapers left patches without weed guard
~ multiple requests to have the company remedy the situation have been unsuccessful
~ they finally agreed to come out to assess the poor work but NEVER SHOWED UP
3 months and $7k later, we have grass everywhere and they won't even come out to evaluate. I read that they pay disgruntled customers to remove negative reviews, which explains the undeserved 4.5 stars.

I would highly recommend Divine Design for any of your landscaping needs. Clara and Nathan who I was in contact with are always quick to respond on any questions you may have. The landscapers are very professional and always clean up any mess they have made. They always walk through what they are going to do so there is no confusion. I would definitely use them again!

I am giving two stars instead of 3 because I had to followup with company to after being initially contact to inquire if they were still interested in providing an estimate.  They then proceed to schedule and appointment to which Nathan was prompt for.  Note: My original landscaper was here two weeks ago before taking sick so it was not that bad of condition.

Upon Nathan's visit he proceeds to tell me we would need cleanup before maintenance could begin.  After consulting with original landscaper he advised this was not needed and simply a way to get additional fees.

However to give Nathan the benefit of doubt completed walkthrough and waited for estimate.  The estimate contained only maintenance and not the fees to trim palms and hedges 2x per year.

Nathan reached out to ensure I received quote and advised to text a number with questions.  

After reaching out via text, to no response, we hired another company.

Superb landscape design and execution!  Their designer, David, really listened to our ideas for our front yard and created a design even more beautiful than we had imagined.  He understood our vision and improved on it.  We were amazed!  The finished landscaping is talk of our neighborhood!  The job started on time, accurate expectations were set, and communication was excellent.  Even months later, the aftercare and follow up has been excellent.  We have had no surprises or disappointments, and have referred them to our friends.  We highly recommend Divine Design Landscaping!

I recently switched to Divine Design Landscaping and they have been wonderful! Clara and Nathan give amazing customer service, and they are so patient with all my questions. I live out of state and the company takes care of my rental property landscaping for me, they are great about sending me updates and letting me know how my new baby tree is doing :) The best part about DDL is that they actually communicate with you, and keep you apprised of what is going on, unlike most landscaping services out there. I highly recommend.

Nathan from Divine Design was very knowledgeable about sod/sprinkler system installation and landscape design. He suggested we add a paver border around the perimeter to protect our outdoor walls. We had some minor issues at the beginning coordinating getting the start day as the crew was finishing up another job. Clara from the office was very helpful and kept us informed on an ongoing basis of when the team would arrive as this project took quite a few days to complete. Jose and the installation crew were kind and courteous. We are happy with the end result.

Great company, they helped us convert a weedy overgrown backyard to somewhere we actually like to hang out now. Nathan and Clara helped us get a design we liked, the rest of the team removed the old dirt/rocks/weeds and put in the whole fabric/gravel and installed a large patch of artificial turf for the dog (He loves it) and just had them out to do monthly service, they were speedy and did a great job cleaning everything up and getting it looking great again. Great team, great customer service, good prices!

Devine Design redid our front yard, replanting roses, adding pea gravel and completely renovating our outdoor lighting.  While there was some initial friction and hiccups with getting their team out and coordinated, overall they did a tremendous job and we are so happy with how our house looks.  It is GORGEOUS!

They stand by their word on pricing which is really important. I would absolutely use them again when it is time to renovate our backyard.

Great company to work with.  Moved into a newly built house with dirt as a backyard. The Landscape Architect, David Bales, provided a truly inspired design.  He listened to us & delivered.  Crew foreman Francisco got on it to deliver on the installation.  We could not be happier with the results.  Price-wise, very reasonable.

It's been almost 3 years since we hired them and we're STILL fixing what they did wrong. I have absolutely nothing positive to say about this company. I don't like leaving bad reviews, but again, we're still paying other folks to fix their mess.

One favorite scene in this thank-god-it's-over experience is the owner of the company walking into my yard and never even bothering to introduce himself or to even acknowledge my presence. The only reason I knew who he was is that someone called him by name.  If it hadn't cost so much I would consider it a joke. Walk away...

Tried to get two other landscaping companies before this.

The first I called 3 times. They never picked up and the voicemail full even though they did several of my neighbors.

The second scheduled an appointment for a quote then just never showed up.

This company gave me a quote via text using pictures within a day. A person showed up and started work within two weeks.

Are they the cheapest? probably not. But they're seemingly reliable and responsive so who cares.

We are so excited about our new backyard! Divine Design Landscaping did a great and efficient job. Clara was super communicative with us about everything and our options for choosing bushes and trees. The yard was left with no signs of the crew or any extra mess anywhere. I've known Nathan and The Divine Design crew for a few years now they have always been there for me and listened to my wants and needs my yard isn't the biggest 9000 sq ft lot. But they always get it done the way I need it and With the recent influx of California residents moving to arizona of course everyone is super busy but these guys still make it to my house in a timely manner.

Hands down horrible!

First look at the reviews, most 5 stars are new yelpers while most 3 star and below are established accounts.  This is due to the fact that they offer a discount on your first service if you leave them a review. Also sort by date as it looks like the service has deteriorated over the last year or so.

I would like to tell of my full experience but it is way to long and I really do not have the time or energy to do so right now, so I will just state some points.

- Complete lack of communication with client and with their crews. Not getting responses back from texts or emails with me (some even started by them) and crews showing up and not doing any of what was asked to be done since last service. Supervisors showing up without a heads up (e.g. call, text, or email) to walk the property.

- Crews that just do not care.  Every single service was crap.  From tree/bush trimmings left, cutting down established bushes and trees (happen twice), not blowing yard with any care, not raking rocks, KILLED my grass (had been a beautiful green for 3 years straight), not trimming trees/plants, leaving a large and long mound of cut grass in yard, and destroying a beautiful mesquite tree.  There are plenty more problems but you get the point.

- Promises made by Clara that were not kept (i.e. credit to account that never happened)

- Crew stating that I got the service I paid for when I pointed out massive issues with their work after they were sent back to my house.

These are just some of the issues. Clara promises the world to try and keep customers but does not deliver on any of them!  I am still laughing that Clara asked me to take down my one star review when I was firing them, thinking someone else's review was mine because of how similar the bad service was.

UPDATE 9/28/2021

Clara called me this morning offering me a full refund if I take down this review.  I declined and stated that I was not going to take it down but would take the refund (she did not apricate that).  She then threatened to send me to collections today for the balance from yesterdays incomplete work.  She threaten to send me to collections for not taking down the review (that might be extortion, not sure). Threatened to take legal actions for defamation because of this review.  Told me I was just an angry man and no one would care about my little one star review that just copied other's one star reviews (guess everyone is getting the same bad service).   This is a horrible company that uses threats to get what they want.  Will update if any legal or collection actions are taken against us.

We hired Devine Design about 6 months ago to maintain our desert landscaping. We specifically were not looking for a blow and go service, but a compnay who could personalize the maintenance that our yard needed. We had very good, attentive service for the first 2 months, and then the monthly service went to blow and go, with a few minor plant touchups. 2 months ago they increased the monthly charge, with no warning. We will be dropping them.

I have been searching for a landscaper and contacted this company, scheduled an appointment for the following Tuesday, only to be contacted a couple of days later stating that they are booked up for that week and cannot keep the scheduled appointment because the landscaper will not be in the area and due to the high gas prices cannot come out now.
That is very unprofessional after booking an appointment in advance. Will not be using them as they have deemed themselves unreliable.

Update in response to the reply from Divine Design:

Interesting comments from Nathan. Two areas of disagreement: 1) I was not rude and insulting from day one; I grew that way over time due to increased frustration over this company's way of doing business (or attempting to do business); 2) My Yelp reviews of contractors (landscape and other specialties) are extremely reflective of the state of the contractor world in 2022. I have posted glowing reviews of the few contractors who made an effort to earn my business and my trust, who did what they said they'd do when they said they'd do it, and who gave me a high quality product for a reasonable price. Most contractors didn't do that, which is why most of my reviews are correspondingly negative. The good contractors are the ones who deserve to make it. I hired the contractors (for whom I later posted positive reviews) for a reason and so far, I've guessed correctly; the companies I hired DID work to earn my business and they gave me great work for a reasonable price; hence those positive reviews were posted. I get nothing for posting reviews--good or bad.  However, my careful review of other folks' Yelp comments led me to hiring some top quality companies who I will enthusiastically recommend to anyone who asks. I'm happy to share my experiences--good and bad--so that others can enjoy the success and satisfaction I've experienced with the companies I've hired. Commenting on negative experiences (such as my experience with this company) only adds credence to the positive reviews I've posted.

We could not get them to show up to give us a quote. After the first time of being stood up, we gave the benefit of the doubt and rescheduled. Yet, today, once again they were a no show. I don't mind if something comes up but let us know. It wasted 2 hours of my time driving there and back each time they did not have the courtesy to show up or let me know they were not coming. Maybe they do a good job on the landscaping once they get there but I would not consider them just for the lack of professionalism and courtesy.

The crew that came to our home did an incredible job! We hadn't had landscaping in over a year and they really cleaned things up. The crew that came was friendly and even took our Christmas tree and some other lawn clippings that we had from before. The only issue I had, was that I wish that they had called to schedule the first appointment. I didn't realize it was scheduled until I received an email about it. I did have to change the date, but they were very responsive and quick, so it wasn't an issue. Divine Design's prices are just slightly higher than some of the other quotes that we received, but their work was amazing, so it's well worth it! Thanks Divine Design!

My yard was completely out of control, my son-in-law usually takes care of it but he injured his back and hasn't been able to.  Everything was way overgrown and the weeds were horrible. Divine came in and now my yard looks awesome and the price for the one-time cleanup was very reasonable. I am going to set up monthly service because I was so impressed. Not to mention I plan to use them to eventually redo the landscape in my front and back yards. If you need someone, definitely go with this company.

I had an irrigation system leak and requested someone come out for a quote. After some initial scheduling issues the team came out, diagnosed the problem and went above and beyond to fix the issue! It was over an hour of work, but they took the time and resolved the problem. Communication was great!

Going based purely off the quote I received since I didn't move forward with this company... My quote request was answered promptly and I was informed I wouldn't need to be home at the time of the inspection. I wanted to start using the irrigation system in my small front yard that hasn't worked since I moved in a few years ago. Since I wasn't home at the time I have no idea what Nathan did, but I received a quote for $600 to replace the faulty irrigation system. He then texted and emailed me several times asking me to schedule service now since they're so busy they'd need to fit me in, but I kept responding that I'd let them know if I wanted to use them after I received another estimate. Maybe this is good business practice but I found it annoying.

The second company I received a quote from- 4 Sons Landscaping- came when I was home. I didn't know where my irrigation system even was but Billy was determined to find it. Turns out it was buried- he dug all around it and he realized it's in perfect working order, it just needs to be connected to the water line. He explained what all the parts do and told me what I'd need to purchase. It was such a simple fix he said I could do it myself with some inexpensive parts from Home Depot. He didn't charge me despite all his efforts.

So clearly I'm going to take the opportunity to call out the fact that Divine Design wanted to charge me $600 to fix a faulty system that wasn't faulty at all. I'm guessing no one even put in half the effort to diagnose the issue that Billy from 4 Sons did. How disappointing. If you're considering Divine Design, I highly recommend getting a second opinion from Billy with 4 Sons Landscaping. He will give you an honest quote and I'm guessing he works just as hard on the actual job as he did on providing an accurate estimate.

If you're looking for a company that you have to follow up and constantly ask for things then this one is probably it. They said they would send me an estimate, never did. They said they would come by and I didn't have to be home but after I kept asking for an estimate they insisted that we meet even after they told me they would send me an estimate after driving by. They never sent an estimate. I asked for rock in the front yard and they replied and said they didn't understand where I wanted the rock. There is one front yard. It's pretty self explanatory. It was so much trouble to get an answer out of them... which I never did. I had a couple big projects that I would have liked done but decided to go with someone else. If the company is not attentive to you and disregards your efforts before they even start the job that is a HUGE RED FLAG.

I've been a customer of Divine Design Landscaping for only a short time, but their service so far has been great. Service setup was easy enough and since they use an online payment service I don't have to mail checks or hand them out at the time. My yard isn't a huge job requiring weekly service and they were fine with monthly service. The workers that arrived were attentive and professional. They trimmed & cleaned my property in about 45 minutes to an hour. I'll ask about replacing aging artificial grass and trimming a treetop soon. I'm happy with their communication and maintenance services so far. I'm unaware of discounts for reviewing, so I'm not sure another reviewer is talking about. I review and leave things there, and all I can say is I'm pleased so far. If anything changes, I'll let y'all know.

The landscapers had to return several times to fix their work. The workmanship was below average. Got the impression they didn't care at all and I even tipped them well. We would schedule for a specific time but they would show up 3 hours earlier instead. By the end of it, I had to audit and micromanage for very basic things (such as the difference between 2 inches and 6 inches). By the time they were done and had already left, I realized they had messed with my drip lines and they were pointing away from my flowers instead of towards them so they weren't getting watered. The owners were very nice people and they were determined to keep sending people back until the job was done right, which is why I'm doing 2 stars instead of 1 but at the same time, this place was the most expensive out of all companies who quoted me. I was happy to pay the premium for good work but instead I had to be a micromanager for lackadaisical workers.

While the online payment system was convenient, the company regularly did not show on days they were scheduled to with no notice. They also billed me for amounts higher than what were quoted, and I am still working with them to get a refund. I canceled service, and they still continued to bill me even after reaching out to them multiple times to get a refund, and now they are telling me to wait to contact them until Friday for them to refund. The service itself was poor - other than cutting the grass, you could not tell they had been there. There was no evidence of blowing yard debris, and there were often trails of grass cuttings left on my walkways from their mowers. Not worth the price.

Hired Divine Design to do a property cleanup. After I set up my online account, the crew was out here soon after. They did great job trimming everything back, paying attention to detail, and cleaning up afterward. Not only are we happy with the results, so is our neighbor, who commented on how great our yard looks. It's a load off my mind not to have to worry about this maintenance...for a while at least! I would highly recommend Nathan and his team as they were a pleasure to work with from start to finish...professional, excellent quality of work, fair pricing, on time, good communication. Our project included back yard sod installation, repair and modifications to our irrigation system, trimming and major clean up of a neglected yard including trimming our very tall palm tree and repair/modification of a retaining wall which involved moving rocks and some very large boulders. Great job!!!

I WOULD GIVE THEM NO STAR BUT THEY ARE MAKING ME PICK ONE.
They cancelled my first appointment.  We then made another appointment on a different date, the date they made was on a date I had another appointment.  I told them it would have to be in the afternoon because I had an appointment that morning and would not be home in the morning.  They said they would be by between 12pm (noon) and 2pm I said that would work.
Well, the date came and when I got home there was a message letting me know that they were in the neighborhood and would stop by that morning.  The lady that called said she know I was going to be gone that morning, but they would come by any way.  They did not cancel my 12pm to 2pm appointment.  Once again, I was home, and no one came.
I called and no one answered.  I left a message that I would not be interested in their services since they could not meet their appointment time and they knew I WAS NOT HOME IN THE MORNING.

Devine Design completed a full yard landscape rehab and renewal based on designs we had done. David, Francisco and his crew did a great job covering our property into a water efficient desert landscape, where a water consuming lawn existed. Afterwards, we were so pleased, we hired Divine Design for routine maintenance of our property. Jonathan, Victor, and Jose do a great job of pruning, yard debris cleanup and weed control. Nathan's team has returned on many occasions to replace new landscape plants that did not survive the hot summer. Devine Design's team are very customer focused and make sure work is done right. We highly recommend you call Devine Design for your landscape design, installation and maintenance.

I would leave a zero star review if I could. I called to try and get a quote because it says on their website that they service Phoenix, AZ. However when I called they said that they don't service our area. We are literally in the Phoenix city limits. Their website and the information on it is extremely misleading. If they don't service the entire city then they shouldn't include it on their website!!! Think twice before making an appointment with them.

WORST SERVICE EVER. This place made me regret letting go of my inconsistent landscapers for completely unreliable landscapers. This business is not only unreliable but so incredibly disorganized that they couldnt even complete the services they agreed to on the invoice sent to me. Then they tried to bill me after not doing the work!

First the owner visited my home, I showed him exactly the areas that need to be addressed each week in my front and backyard. We have trellaces with hanging flowers, bushes, a lemon tree and artificial grass. I specifically asked to have the backyard done and spent most of the time showing him the areas. I made it clear our watering drip system timing was off and needed to be repaired.

Next he sent me an invoice for all items I requested including front and back yard and fixing the drip system. I agreed, easy. I never saw the owner after that.

His landscapers showed up, scalped my front yard and left. They did not enter the backyard through the open gate. They did not look at the drip system.

I contacted them and they promised it would be fixed the next day. I didnt ask, the woman who seems to be the owners wife apologize and committed to coming the next day. Fine no harm no foul. Mistakes happen.

I waited for 5  hours on my Saturday. Didnt get a call even. I contacted her asking when they were coming  and had to leave. They showed up after I reminded her they were supposed to come and rescalped my front yard. Thats it.

For the next 2 days all I got were apologies, we will fix it, we will come out etc. On Monday 2 guys came in the morning and asked my husband to show them the sprinkler box. He did and they didnt fix it and didnt do anything in the backyard, again.

I called and let her know. Again apologies we will be back out.

Two men came out Monday evening. In the dark they looked at the drip system and couldnt fix it. I told the workers specifically that the backyard needed to be trimmed. He just nodded and left and they'ld be back.

Here we are on tuesday. I told the woman I spoke with that today is the last chance. They have been out 4 times and hadn't touched my backyard. That was in my original consult and invoice. This woman had the audacity to tell me she would send me an invoice for work done. They did nothing I asked for, was invoiced for. I wasted my time waiting for them and trying to fix thier disorganization. She topped it off by calling me rude. I have no problem posting the text messages very clearly displaying how inept they are and how patient I was.

Don't go close to this place unless you want to waste time, not get anything you asked for, and then be called rude and billed  for nothing.

FOLLOW UP 2/25/21:
Don't waste your time with this company. Apparently it's too much trouble for them to call a customer before they're on their way. For months and months, we've dealt with these guys just showing up without calling first.

This is a problem because I keep our front gate locked to keep our child with autism from eloping. And usually when they did come, we were online during a live class, so it's impossible to step away. Also, we have a cat in the backyard who needs to be put in a carrier. And we've told them every month, basically.

Obviously another reason we requested them to call first, is so their guys just aren't sitting out there waiting. I know and understand that their time is important; if they run late, it's screws up their schedule. I get it. So this is not just us being picky customers, it's about trying to be courteous to YOUR employees.

One of the the first times they came, I went out there and asked them why they didn't call first. And the gentleman showed me his phone where it shows them the job, and the information field for notes which is where the request to call us first would go, was blank. So needless to say I apologized to him and told him my husband would call the office to request that. And every month, they would still just show up. Once they came and just did the front, and tried to charge us full price!

That's another issue with this company is the frequent billing issues such as: promising a discount of x dollars, and then actually receiving a discount of y dollars, and then when you call to ask them, they would seem annoyed and reluctantly fix it, and they've actually NEVER apologized for their constant errors. (It almost seems like they try to sneak in charges, and if they get caught they'll fix it.)

My husband talked to and emailed Clara and Nathan about this SEVERAL times, they said they would rectify the issue, but to this day, have refused to do so. I get the sense that they are either married or a couple, and clearly they don't communicate with each other about anything, and in fact just seem like they are lost at the airport.

Now, the icing on the cake here is that Nathan basically tells my husband that they don't want us as customers anymore because they send out a service notice and that should be enough for us. Well, Nathan and Clara, it isn't. This is absolutely NOT an unreasonable request by any means, and you honestly just showed everyone here on Yelp and Google just how unreasonable and unprofessional your company is. I truly wish you both the best of luck, and I would also suggest you both take some classes on customer service and in dealing with customers from a service position.

Called this company to get a quote on lawn maintenance. All I wanted was someone to water my grass while I was out of town and they wanted to charge me $165 per hour!! TALK ABOUT COMPLETELY DISHONEST SCAM! I found someone else for $15 per hour. I do not recommend wasting your time with this joke of a company. I do marketing and can't stand when companies use DISHONEST techniques and I am pretty sure this company pays for their reviews. This is what your pool will look like after they leave! Just blow dirt everywhere with big industrial blowers covering cars, windows and swimming pools with huge clouds of dust and debris. They don't care at all; i have been threatened, flipped the middle finger, hung up on, it never ends.  Divine Design Landscaping is a NIGHTMARE please don't give these people your money.

UPDATE: Nathan the giant clouds of dust that I can see your employees blowing carelessly everywhere coats everything in my entire backyard and front yard. You can tell very clearly from the pictures that skimmer skimmer is not going to get handfuls of dirt out of my pool that had just been cleaned. I have your employees ON FILM blowing debris from my neighbors yard into my yard. I also have video footage of your employees trespassing on my property multiple times. Your employees have absolutely no right to threaten me which they did many times using obscenities even though I never cursed at them once. They refuse to leave my property even though I asked them to do some multiple times and then flipped me the bird. What's truly alarming is that you don't have the integrity to contact me like a true business owner and feel the need to minimize the laws that were broken here on yelp. It is obvious that you and your staff could care less about being decent human beings or business owners.

We hired this company to install pavers and a planter on our front porch. They took half payment up front then didn't begin project for three weeks. When they arrived they didn't have the necessary materials and out off project again. Each time a crew showed up, they asked us for instructions about the project and had no schematic or template. Three times we gave different crews information. They didn't match the existing pavers we had and had to redo the pavers twice. After 3 weeks of poor or no communication with the office manager we asked the owner to contact us.  He never did. We terminated the project and had them remove the materials and tools that had littered our yard for weeks. Then they company charged our credit card with the whole amount although we had paid half up front and terminated the contract after they'd only completed half the job. This company should not be in business, are not reliable, do not follow through and committed bank fraud by overcharging us.

When I approached Nathan several months ago, I had initially only wanted maintenance done to our front and backyard. The price he quoted and the services provided in that quote blew my mind and I accepted.

For some time, my husband and I really wanted to add to our yards with something(s) really unique and beautiful. After casually inquiring about if he provided additional services, he referred me to David Bales who was the architect for the vision I had in my head. Mr. Bales, beautifully captured on paper exacely what I wanted. I couldn't have asked for anything better and the end result had completely left us more in-love with our home.

Other landscaping companies we had reviewed seemed to not really understand what we wanted or they priced gouged with seemingly unrealistic prices. After one conversation with David and upon receipt of our one-of-a-kind architectural design, we agreed and the contract was set.

To say we're happy and thrilled is truly an understatement. We're beyond elated and 100% satisfied. I would also like to give Nathan mad props for his professional patience when dealing with me. I like to think of myself as chill, but I know I can be quite the pain; he's a god among insects with his politeness with pushy people.

Going forward, Divine Design Landscaping will be the company to service our home and yards.

Landscaping companies are a dime a dozen, but this company is very different than the rest.  They provided a quick quote and once .  They regularly touch base with me before and after service for requests and make sure service is up to par.  Their online portal also makes keeping track of payments and very simple. I highly recommend Divine Design if you're looking for a dependable company that does thorough work every time they come out.

Where I live used to be farmland, and after the rainy summer, that's what our backyard essentially turned into. It looked like a cornfield, with weeds as high as my chest. These guys came in and cleaned the whole place up. From time of contact to the job getting done was only two days apart and they were very helpful and the workers were friendly. Would highly recommend. They work hard and efficiently.

I didn't even have the opportunity to use them but my experience was not great. I had submitted an inquiry online for an estimate. It took them days to get back to me to set something and never confirmed what day or time they were coming. The day before they were suppose to come (not that I was aware) I got a message that the landscaper wasn't able to come by due to severe dehydration. Whether or not he was under the weather, we have been burned by these excuses time and time again by other landscapers. Then at the end of it I got an email saying oh we don't service the Gilbert area. Wouldn't that be the first thing someone would check? Again never actually used them so don't know quality of their work but was not impressed with the communication at all.

The Divine Design Landscaping team has been nothing short of amazing. I switched over to this company after having horrible service with another company. Each time my landscaping servicing date is coming up I get a reminder and message from the Divine Design team asking me if I need anything different done for servicing that week. Along with this, after every visit I get a text telling me that the services were completed and asking me to update them if I have any questions or concerns. I've never experienced such great customer service. Also, the landscaping is done perfectly! I have no complaints and I have been using this company for months now. I am immensely grateful for them. 100% recommend them to anyone looking for landscapers!

Communication started off well and I had high hopes for Divine Design Landscaping. I was really hoping they would be able to help me out with my landscaping project.

Nathan the owner reached out to me and proposed a time range of 10am-12pm noon on a Friday. I ended up taking time off work to be available for the appointment and it wasn't until right at the end of the time frame Nathan left me a Yelp message saying it would be more like 2pm or so that he would stop by (he didn't ask if this would still work for me, I guess he just assumed I had the luxury of waiting around all day).

As far as I know Nathan never stopped by, nor did he even follow up with me beyond that. I was so frustrated with the experience I ended up going a different route because I need someone who understands my time is valuable. This is especially disappointing considering he proposed the time/date in the first place.

Devine Design has been a great company to use for my landscaping needs! Nathan always responds promptly, gets me on the schedule within the week, and does what needs to be done with no hassle or loop holes within pricing! Devine Design's website is also really user friendly. When they are done with the service I just log in online and pay the invoice with a card. I have never have felt pressured to pay in cash nor do I even have to be home when the yard is done to pay. It makes it really convenient to never have to take unnecessary time off of work to be here to watch the crew. I highly recommend Devine Design and am glad I was able to find them!

I'm just not happy with the service. The shrubs aren't trimmed. There are broken cactus arms in the front yard just laying on the ground. The vine I specifically asked to have cut back was not cut back. The guys with the leaf blowers blow everything in their path, including a pair of shoes accidentally left on the back porch--blew them right out into the middle of the yard, and also x-mas lights. I gave them a few months to correct, but I just don't think the workers care enough about the yard.

I just moved to Arizona and the yard was about two to three months overgrown.  Divine Design Landscaping gave me a quote within a minutes of sending the email. They were lowest out of all the competitors I requested quotes from and they have super responsive to all my questions, concerns and requests. The team is super nice and thorough. Divine's owner Nathan is extremely knowledgeable and detail oriented, not only when performing maintenance services, but also when doing adjustments, landscape design alterations, and fixing drip/irrigation systems. The crew works quickly and precisely. And when there is a problem, Nathan personally comes to assess and independently will propose several solutions.

We needed to have our lawn border shifted back with added pavers. In addition, we needed to have new drip irrigation installed. We ran into an issue with the drip installation, but Nathan was able to quickly identify a solution and worked with us, the home owners, collaboratively on how best to address the unforeseen issue while still staying within budget.  

In addition to the phone, Divine and Nathan also use texts to communicate. Which has helped customer communications be effective and immediate. Their response time is extremely fast and very impressive.

Nathan is easy to work with and is able to quickly adjust the direction and instructions to his crew. Very impressed with Nathan's work ethic as well as the efficient and effective way he runs his company and teams. Extremely impressed. We will definitely be coming back for all future services.

Absolutely the best experience I've had with a landscaping company.

From the moment I met Nathan, he immediately made me feel my project was important and reviewed each step in the process. He was always available for my questions both by phone and text/email.

His team was incredible. They showed up on time and cleaned up after each day of work on the project.  I really appreciated the attention to detail and the quality of their work.

The team installed a sprinkler system, pavers and sod.  My backyard never looked better.

Don't look any further for your landscaping project needs.. Nathan and his team are fantastic!

They didn't, and although this happened back in June, I figure better late than never & am finally writing another 1-star review. What started it all was their initial $97k review for overseeding. Clearly their office team does not pay much attention to what they send out; I had hopes that perhaps their landscape staff were better. I was and still am disappointed. I specifically told the office personnel that the southwest corner of our lawn always seems to be bare of grass. I asked them to look at our sprinklers, repairing/replacing if necessary - or possibly even adding an additional head (I thought maybe it wasn't getting enough water). Also because there was too much run off; I thought maybe they needed to be redirected. On June 23, the laborers arrived & sat in the shade of our house for 45 min, they said waiting for the seed to arrive, later dumping their soda drinks on our lawn. They told my sister the sprinklers were OK. When I got home & tested the sprinklers, they most definitely were not okay. The box was making a loud noise & a couple of the heads were sputtering (sadly, I can't upload videos to Yelp!). Regardless, we watered according to their suggestion, even hand watering sometimes because the sprinklers were not repaired. Despite this, I retained hope our lawn would improve after their treatment. It's now August & there are still bare spots, especially a large one in the middle. We had another company repair our sprinklers. They replaced & repositioned all the heads. We will never use DDL again.

The team was great! Came on a weekend to install irrigation on my new planted trees and plants. Very knowledgeable and helpful! Took the time to walk me through irrigation timer setup, watering schedules, etc. Definitely recommend!

I would recommend Divine Design Landscaping solely for the quick work. The communication with Nathan was not the best I had an issue with the sprinkler head being raise and in return to my message he sent me canned responses not acknowledging my issue. I then sent a message to Clara who quickly responded and sent two men put to correct the issue. She made the experience better with great communication from the start to finish.

Nathan got me all set up with an estimate for general cleanup, and was able to accomodate a quicker turnaround than expected. Edgar and Jose did a great job on my yard which sorely needed some TLC. I sent a bid out to 12 valley landscaping companies for a massive amount of work that needed to be done the next day. Not only was Nathan the quickest to respond, he also had the best rate. He was quick to answer calls and texts and that evening I digitally signed the contract for the work.

His guys showed up the next morning and worked on my front and back yards for 7 hours, it was amazing to see the speed and attention to detail at which they worked. It would have easily taken me 3 full weekends to do what they did in a day.

My yard has not looked this good, since we moved into the house 3 years ago.

Nathan's crew were great, they asked me what I wanted done and did exactly what was asked. The cleanup was what impressed me the most. No leaves or debris anywhere and all the gravel was raked.

The quote was extremely fair and if the quote for regular yard maintenance is as fair, I will sign up with Nathan for long term yard maintenance.

I highly recommend Divine Design and will be talking with Nathan about potential large scale yard renovation in the future.

Bottom line: they did what I asked them to: fix irrigation and run some new lines.

However, I would not recommend this company.  It started off well. Nathan responded quickly was punctual in giving me a comprehensive quote. I called later and he scheduled the work for a Tuesday at 8:30am. On the appointed day, 8:30 came and went and no one showed up. I called. No answer. I waited an hour, called again. No answer. This continued for 3 hours before I received a text from Nathan saying it would be later. I asked for a specific time which he would not give.

The guys showed up and did the work. And (as far as I can tell) did the work well. I did ask them if they could show me how to work the timer on the drip system- they agreed to show me. I was in and out of house (chasing a toddler around). At one point I heard a truck start. Curiously, I discovered the workers had left without a word.

I didn't sign anything. I hadn't paid. When I finally received an invoice of my bill, it was wrong.

Very unprofessional company. It was a good price though. So if you're willing to put up with bad communication and loose scheduling for a decent p- they are your guys.

Update: I forgot to mention they removed a plant I DID NOT WANT REMOVED!  I contacted them about a leak in the irrigation that happened after they were here - the owner's response was that it wasn't his fault! Seriously awful way to run a business

Had Divine Design install sod for me and remove part of a cement patio we no longer wanted.

Had them back out recently to aerate the lawn and do the fall overseeding.  The team worked very efficiently and did a great job.  Very please with the work they completed.

After calling around to some other landscapers, I decided to give Nathan a call back and another chance. I wouldn't have blamed him if he told me to pound sand, but he was professional and we started over.

To be honest I didn't really have any good ideas about how this front yard should look, but the ideas I did have were carried out and implemented with skill. I was worried about the border pavers and having them move around over time, but they were set in a cement footer and I'm confident they will not move.

For Nathan, the lines of the drip line could have been much straighter. I'm not sure what's customary, but I would use 90 degree connectors at the corners to avoid the large radius that makes it hard to find the line.

In any case, it's done. Trees are in, shrubs are in and it seems that Roundup will be a forever part of my life.

After I left a bad review below, they finally contacted me to say they would come out and move the rock and lay the paper. They also asked me to change my review to be more positive as you see below. But they only laid the paper in some areas. It is not throughout my yard. This was NOT my error, and I got a half assed job in correcting it. I paid in full for a j0b that wasnt even done correctly, the second time around.  Definitely not worth it.

First experience with Nathan @ Divine Design, who we found on Yelp and hired based on the good reviews here. My front and back yards were overgrown with weeds and tall grass after the monsoon season, and was in need of some TLC.

Nathan and team (2 other guys) arrived at the quoted time in the afternoon, and got straight to work. Very systematic - one person took care of weeds and tall grass, another worked the mower, and the third cleaned.

When Nathan was all done, he came to check on me and ask if there was anything else I wanted his help on. I remembered there was a pesky bougainvillea bush I wanted out, and Nathan was happy to help.

Overall the job took only about an hour, and my yards were no longer a source of embarrassment :)

Will hire again. Would recommend.

I have used this company twice and they are great. They respond quickly, show up on time, do a good job, and offer fair prices. I will definitely use them again.

Update: I haven't been as happy with this company lately. Sometimes they don't come the day they say they will. They cut up some of our watering system when they trimmed a bush, they almost always forget to get the weeds in our planter, they trimmed some bushes without asking, they moved some outdoor furniture for no reason and scratched up the patio. I'm waiting to hear back from the owner,

Update: they have contacted me and are trying to improve their service.

Divine Design walked the yard with me and knew what needed to be cleaned up. They quoted $395 clean up and $135 for biweekly maintenance. They did not complete clean up but left before I had chance to inspect. They left branches that were sharp just sticking out of ground from dead rosemary bush, piles of leaves not picked up, they did not pull out weed growth from rose bushes. There response was they had no time , then would come back but didn't until usual maintenance, then charged me an extra $90 for the job, which I had not agreed to. Then they continued each 2 weeks over last 6 weeks to leave things incompletely done, weeds and grass were growing rampant in the desert landscaping areas, they cut off microdrips more than 20 that had to be replaced, I bought a blue color so they could see and they still cut off. Then they announced they were going up to $ 170 each two weeks and I owed them an additional $45, never approved this and work never complete. I fired them when they persisted. I had kept pictures to show them the shoddy work and emailed them asking to make good on the work they promised and then sent an email saying I still owed them $ 135. Not to be trusted. Scam artists. Joe one of leads tried to argue with me that they didn't leave pile of leaves but I had taken a picture same day they were there to show the date stamp and the pile where they left the blown leaves. I have never been treated this way.

Made an appointment on a specific day with a three hour window for them to show up and take a look at what needed to be done in my front and back yard. Someone was to come over between noon and 3 pm. Waited until almost 4:30 and no one showed up, called, emailed or texted me. I would have understood if someone had contacted me to say they couldn't make it because things happen all the time and they needed to reschedule. But nothing. I finally emailed Nathan and cancelled the appointment. Too bad, because I needed a lot of work done, so money lost on their end. Very unprofessional in my opinion. Unfortunately this is not the first time this has happened to me and other folks I know. With the economy like it is you'd think people would be glad for the work, but oh well.

I was so pleased to finally find a landscaping company that did it all. I had what I thought was a small need...apply sod to a small backyard (less than 500 sq ft) and trim a lemon tree. I tried so many companies that would not return my call, would back out of their appointment, or had outrageous prices. Even the company I had hired for the Summer flaked out on me! For the past several years we have engaged several landscape companies in an effort to refurbish and beautify our small, backyard/pool area. These companies made significant contributions, but the landscaping never really jelled.

WOW Divine Design Landscaping did a FABULOUS job in my front & backyard! I had a vine wrapped around a chainlink fence and they took care of it with no problem! My backyard looks completely different (in a good way)! The work done left my husband speechless!! I recommend Divine Design Landscaping (DDL) to anyone who needs a big project done. My husband and I are so impressed we are actually going to look into using DDL throughout the year to keep up with our yard work! I've been using this company for almost a year now. I went searching for a landscaping company because there are certain things I just can't do to my yard. Nathan came up and did an appraisal for a reasonable price for my front and back yard. He always sends me a service reminder before they come as well as remind me my invoice is posted.

They offer other services too like when my water lines busted or I needed some plants removed.

My wife and I live in a townhouse with a courtyard. Despite its relatively small size it contains numerous vines, has a tendency for weeds to sprout, and neighbors a tree that constatly drops plenty of leaves. Nathan's team stops by on a monthly basis to make sure it stays tidy. Even though it is a small job they take it seriously, they are always timely and efficient. Highly recommended.

Disappointed to have to lower my rating. Had to stop our service for a few months as I lost my job. Once I regained employment, I contacted Nathan to restart our service. Communication was difficult (no response to multiple emails/texts), but eventually was able to get someone out for service. They as usual did a great job, and I was ready to restart our monthly service.

The following month(April 2017), I got a txt from Nathan saying their rates had gone up substantially in the last 4 months. (over 50%) No real explanation as to why. I said that this was too much for us and to cancel our service. Got a one word response back, no effort to retain me as a customer and still no explanation as to why the rates had gone up so much. I guess he didn't need our business, so now I will have to find another company to do our lawn.  Which stinks, because they really always did a fantastic job on our yard.

I hired these guys for an initial clean-up based on their Yelp reviews and am very satisfied. Our yard had gotten overrun with weeds and debris. Nathan got in touch with me right away to schedule a site visit, and I had a quote that same day. His quote was very competitive so I didn't even bother getting other quotes. I'll admit that I have fairly exacting needs when it come to how my yard looks and is cared for. We've spent a lot of money in landscape architecture and we really enjoy a manicured yard. In short, Nathan and his crew at Divine Design get it and are on it.

I hired Nathan back in October to replace my previous landscape maintenance company.

Firstly, Nathan communicates well -- which is important.

Secondly, his crew shows up when they say they're going to, and they do a high quality job each time. Corners are never cut, and attention to detail is evident.  That said, they do their work efficiently and quickly.

Thirdly, Nathan's fees are fair and he has already checked in with me twice to ensure I see value in what he's charging me.

I would highly recommend Divine Design and Nathan to anyone -- especially if you're a high maintenance customer like me.  :)

I am very disappointed with this company. We did a virtual quote (I sent a photo of the work needed) for securing 3 trees to a wall. They ended up staking the trees instead. I was a surprised that they did something different than what we agreed upon, but the stakes look they may work and I thought it would be significantly cheaper, anyway. Nope. Same charge. So I communicated that the project cost should be much less. They took off a small amount but nothing close to what the project should reasonably cost. Overall, I am surprised they did something different than what what was quoted without talking to me about the cost of the difference. I am also upset that they charged so much for a simple project. I may not have accepted the quote had I known that they would do something different (simpler) for almost the same price.

I showed him around, told him what we wanted, handed him a layout with the design. I asked him how soon we could get the quote and he said a few days, great. And I never heard anything back. I am immensely frustrated and disappointed in the lack of communication, quality of work, ethic, and integrity of this company. We hired Divine Design by a referral to do a one-time clean-up of immense leaf, flower, and seed pod litter scattered in and around the river rocks in our backyard. They requested that we email photos of the area we wanted cleaned up in order for them to provide us with a quote which we agreed upon. (Our first mistake was not requesting that they actually send out a real person to look at the yard. I feel like this would have given us a better perspective on how they do business and treat people. Do not make this mistake. The crew that they actually sent out did not know the areas of work requested or anything that we initially agreed upon with the owner/office person and we had to try to get over the language barrier in order to explain it to them). We provided the photos to the company via email and responded to the quote (after they screwed it up several times) and tried to get the visit scheduled but we could not get a hold of anyone. This was ridiculous since we both use email and texting constantly in our day to day jobs and have NEVER had any problems with someone contacting us by any of those means. They eventually claimed that they tried to get a hold of us but we have no record of this at all. Why would we NOT respond? All we wanted was a response! It makes no sense that there are no reliable means of communication with these people. After much frustration and going back and forth, we finally somehow get the clean-up scheduled and they do an incomplete job, leaving behind most of the debris we actually wanted them to clean up. They also wasted time in our front yard, an area we did not request. My husband initially told the owner that it looked fine afterwards (unfortunately without him actually climbing up our slope at that moment and inspecting all of the cracks between the rocks from above) and we were billed. FIVE days later when he actually had the time, he went up onto the rocks and saw all of the debris left behind. He also noticed that there were multiple cuts/broken sprinkler heads leaking in our drip system so he had to replace these immediately. We have no idea how they managed to do so much damage to the drip system especially since they did such a poor job picking up the litter. They did remove two or three patches of dead grass that were also included in the quote so maybe it was then- we have no idea. We took photos of everything they missed/damaged and my husband emailed the owner that same day (the owner claimed it was a month later which is 100% false- we obviously have the email records) with all of this information but could not get a response from anyone. It was so frustrating and confusing because the office person then sent several email reminders to pay the bill but would not respond to any of our messages. After several weeks of this, the owner finally contacted my husband and accused him of not wanting to pay the bill. Huh? So you WERE getting our messages then? Why wouldn't you just call us back? They later again claimed that they tried getting a hold of us and could not (we are with our phones all day) but we have absolutely no record of any of attempts- wouldn't we have a voicemail or missed call or email? None of it makes sense. We could honestly care less about the bill. It's not about the money at all. All we wanted was for someone to reach back out to us and simply acknowledge the issue and apologize and try somehow to make it right. They never attempted to do any of this. How can you be ok with the job that was performed by your staff? Why wouldn't you want to make it right? We had super reasonable expectations. Communication and compassion go a long way, you guys. I am completely baffled by these positive reviews because we were treated so poorly and not communicated with at all. I so desperately wish we had a positive experience. The last time we tried to contact them for a solution, the office person, Clara, actually responded and very unprofessionally threatened to send our bill to collections. They have taken no responsibility for their actions or those of their workers. We are honestly so tired of wasting our time and energy trying to deal with this company. We do not understand how you can run a business this way and be sustainable. We should actually be sending you a bill for sprinkler parts and for the yard labor that I ended up doing myself. We should have just done it ourselves in the first place. Shame on you, Divine Design.

We hired Divine Design to install sprinklers, drip lines, pavers, and sod. We found them to be a great company to work with and they did a fantastic job! They came out and got the job done in a few days. After installation we had a few minor issues and they came back out and took care of them expeditiously. Since then we have hired them for lawn maintenance and everything has been going well. I would not hesitate to hire them for future projects. Thank you Divine Design for helping turn our yard into a wonderful place for our family to spend time together.

Divine Design Landscaping came up as one of the top 10 landscapers in Laveen. I called and spoke with Nathan, looking to have the back yard cleared and weeded and the front cleaned up and new stone laid down. Needing it done before an appraisal was performed to determine its value, Nathan accommodated two date changes. He and his crew completed the work in one day and the house has never looked better. It was like a completely different house. His work is exemplary. The appraisal came in $9,000 over what was expected. I am extremely pleased with his work, willingness to accommodate and excellent business model. Nathan and the crew at Divine Design are top notch. He will be my landscaper for now on.

I had Nathan come out to the home we recently purchased to provide a bid to repair the irrigation system.  The irrigation on our new home is pretty extensive and I was expecting the bid to be much higher, to my pleasant surprise his bid was much better than other companies. I hired Divine Design Landscaping to do the job....not only did they meet my expectations they far exceeded my expectations!!  Francisco, who did the work, was very pleasant to work with and knowledgeable about the Hunter ICC Irrigation system running our watering.  Francisco kept me informed of the job as it progressed and was even great with our curious Springer Spaniel.  If you need of a company to provide quality work at a reasonable price you cannot go wrong with Divine Design Landscaping!!

Even though it took a while and had to have multiple visits, we are happy to finally have all the work completed. We are happy with the final product and feel that overall we had a good job done for a very reasonable price.

The Divine Design team that worked with us genuinely seemed to care about making sure we were happy with the work done and getting any issues resolved. I can't say the same for Nathan who still has made no attempt to communicate with us directly.

Just finished a front yard demo and new install with these guys.   While I've had very few great contractor experiences, this Certainly is one of them.   From the initial consultation with the designer (Dave B.) to the touch-up work by the crew, I was nothing but impressed.    Designer listened to my wife and I and came up with a thoughtful modern desert design that fit the house, us, and tied to ques/features in the backyard.    Francisco, the lead, was amazing.   Not just in his ability to lay pavers, build a concrete poured wall, and direct excellent landscape install work, but also in his attitude and customer orientation.   How often do you find that in a contractor?   Finally, Francisco noted that not all the planned design was needed (valves/pvc) so he worked with their office to refund a portion of the paid cost.    Really.     Congrats to Nathan for creating a business that delivers.

I was hoping to receive a quote for landscape design. I called and left a voicemail and did not receive a response. 10 days later I called back and left another voicemail. Four days after this I received a call back and was instructed to send pictures of my yard and a description of what I was looking for- I did and was told I would receive an emailed quote in the next week. It's been close to three weeks and have not heard back. I have since paid the deposit for another company to do the work.

Just moved into a home in PHX. The backyard needed a serious cleanup so I called DDL. They were excellent from first contact through the work done and final billing. Nathan and his team are very responsive. I had another company that looked like they came, blew my leaves around and left. The Devine team takes the time to leave my space looking top notch. I had a standing water problem, which they cleaned it up, but in the process, they got some water on my windows. The team made sure to clean the windows. They do clean up of your yard and can fix irrigation problems. If you are looking for reliable, quality service, give them a call.

Had Nathan out in September to do a first cleanup of my front yard  - trim back the flowering bushes, clean up fallen petals/bits and nuke the weeds. We had just purchased the house the month before and had to tart somewhere. I was home while they worked and was very happy with how it went. I have Divine Design come out about once a month to do maintenance of the front yard. We don't have grass, however my next door neighbors do and Divine Design does a very nice job on their lawn and other plants.

They did a great job!  Our yard looked great every month!  It was so great to know it would be done and not have to do it myself.  The payments were simple and every month a personal email came through asking if they could do anything to make improvements or if anything additional was requested.  I never had any, but it was nice!  I was renting and am now moving.  If I need landscaping again, I will definitely reach out to Divine Design.

I contacted Nathan last month as I was getting ready to put my house on the market.  Nathan actually came out to my house the same day I contacted him and gave me an estimate for the work - my yard was kind of a mess and needed some irrigation repairs.  I had a tight timeline as I was getting ready to have professional photos taken for the listing and an open house shortly thereafter.

Nathan made sure to get the work done ahead of both of those deadlines.  Our yard looks MUCH better, the irrigation system is now fully functional, and he identified an underground leak in my system that had been driving up my water bill each month.

We got a full price offer on our home on day 1, part of which was due to how much better our landscaping looked, no doubt.

My wife and I both remarked that we wish we had done this much earlier and really had a chance to enjoy our yard more while we were living in the home.

Nathan and his crew do great work, communicate well, provide fair and honest pricing, and are professional throughout the process.  I'd highly recommend them.

It has been a little over a month and I wanted to share my experience with this company. It took a while to get on the schedule but when they came out for the first appointment to take care of my lawn they did an amazing job of pruning and getting the yard in shape.  So over the last couple of weeks I have been thinking about a new design for my front yard to get that curb appeal. Yesterday, a guy showed up from Divine Design Landscaping to inspect the quality of the work of his crew.  I didn't think much about it but thought wow they go a step above most other companies.  Today was my day to have the lawn mowed and cleaned. When they left I was blown away, they create a sculpture out a couple of my plants that made the entire yard stand out. This was the curb appeal I had  been looking for and they did it without me even asking. I cannot rave about how much I love their quality control process. Who knew good could turn into exceptional in how they treated my curb appeal.

I had DDL come by to clean up the weeds, shrubs, and the mess of carob pods that had infultrated our front yard.  They did a great job.  Nathan was on time and always available via phone or email.  I've gone through many landscapers for clean up and while they did a good job, they always pressed me to purchase, and schedule a long term bi-weekly/monthly plan - which I don't need.  There was no sales pitch with Nathan, which I appreciated.  If I wanted that kind of service I would have asked for one.  Nathan is professional and reliable.  Don't look any further: stop reading this and call him and schedule a time.  You won't regret it.

Contacted Nathan after finding Divine Design on Yelp. I was unhappy with the pricing and communication from my previous landscaper (Goodman's). Nathan was very easily reachable via text message and responded quickly. We scheduled a time for him to come look at my yard and he arrived on time and gave me a fair quote. The first maintenance went without a hitch. Nathan also planted some flowers at my request and tracked down an irrigation issue which turned out to be a nightmare to fix but he got the job done. Looking forward to continuing hopefully trouble-free maintenance of my yard.

Let me start off by saying lifesavers , these guys are lifesavers. Now they didnt literally save my life but if you ever have inlaw coming to town to check out your new house and your yard is kinda trashed because you do not like taking care of lawns , trees and pretty much everything that makes your outside look nice. Well if you haven't it's bad situation when your place is going to be judged . So I went on a search for reasonable price , squeeze me into their schedule and do a quick job before visitors arrive . This company checked all the boxes , I reached out to several(12) companies on yelp and they were the 1st the reply and first to give me a reasonable quote without saying I have to see the property first . Guess what folks, they made my front and back yard look nice .  It was like going to get a haircut after long time and you get that fresh cut feeling like o this is why I need to get my hair cut, cause it makes you look beautiful well this is what they did to my house . I was impressed. They sent a two man team which was on full blast at 630 and ended around 8. Trees , lawn, rocks , all set to perfection , I ever decided just like a haircut to schedule a service because the different was that amazing and they checked up on me after to make sure the job got done , correct.  I recommend these guys and trust me in Phx,  I searched through alot

Nathan has been doing our yard for some time. We live on .3 acres in central Phoenix...lots of grass...multiple patios...too many trees...and way too many leaves.  He is here on time with more than 3 people.  He takes pride in what his does.  He's an amazing guy and leaves your yard looking better than when you thought it looked it's best. So you can hire someone for half the price and let your yard look 1% as good or you can hire Nathan and your yards looked 110% every time. Use him...he's the best.

Quick and easy service. I needed to cap off a section of my drip irrigation. They were able to get a guy to come out in about an hour. Workers knew what they were doing and quickly got the job done. Found the valve box, quickly tested the zone, dug up the hose, carefully capped it off without leaks, cut out exposed sections, and carefully cleaned up the garden. No issues.

Divine Design Landscaping has been maintaining my front yard for about a year now and I am very pleased with the service.  I am a busy guy that lives in an HOA so my front yard has to be kept up and I just don't have the time.  Nathan and his team handle all if it in a once a month visit at a very affordable price.
Not only is my yard always presentable, but the communication from Divine Design Landscaping is outstanding.  Before service is done, I am sent an email telling what day the service will be completed and asking if there is anything that needs to be addressed.
I also get the bill in an email that I am able to pay very easily online.  This is a nice touch as almost all my bills are paid online.
I originally contacted six different companies to get bids on maintaining my front yard.  Nathan was the only one that showed up on time as scheduled and his quote was the least expensive.
I highly recommend Divine Design Landscaping.

Nathan is absolutely the best landscaper in Phoenix.  I've lived in this house for 11 years and have gone through landscapers.  He is hands down the best...on time...and takes pride in his work.  I've never had someone that will blow behind our outdoor fridge...pick weeds on a private patio...pick weeds in general.  He doesn't just mow..blow...gone.  He takes pride in his work.  Thank you for everything and we appreciate having you as our landscaper.

Nathan was awesome to work with! I actually used Yelp to reach out to about 4 different landscapers and Nathan was the only one who got back to me that same day. I needed a job done that was very time sensitive and Nathan was extremely flexible and accommodating for me. On top of that, his crew worked a full day and a half cleaning my yard and trimming all of the trees, in the blistering heat. In the end I was left with what I was expecting and more! His crew was also very friendly and left zero mess behind. I will definitely be using Divine Design Landscape again on my next project.

We contacted Nathan from Divine Design after reading the positive reviews on Yelp and we have not been disappointed!  We recently moved into a home with no landscaping and we were struggling to get grass to grow on a lot that had been dirt for years.  Nathan was professional, answered our many (and I mean many) questions about our options for grass, and we eventually settled on the sod that he recommended. He communicated with us through the entire process, and has been maintaining our yard ever since.  His team mows, weeds, trims bushes and keeps the whole yard looking great, and he is always quick to respond to any questions that we have.  We consistently get compliments on our improved curb appeal and we have Divine Design to thank!  His prices are competitive and the service can't be beat.  We will definitely be using Divine Design for our back yard upgrades in the future.
