Chris has over 20 years of experience in all aspects of HVAC service and installation. Starting out at a local air conditioning company and working with the City of Phoenix he gain a great deal of experience with troubleshooting and problem solving. In 2002 he started Cool Touch and it quickly grew. Now with 10 employees, he still has the same goals of providing good service at reasonable prices.

If I could give this company a thousand stars I would but they only let me give them five.
on 8-29-21 at 7:00 p.m. my air went out.
I called Cool touch and immediately got a response from Lisa
she sent out Daniel who looked at my air and determined that there was a part that was faulty and replaced it
I had air by 8:00 and this was on a Sunday night
from Lisa to Daniel to Dena. they give the best customer service and honestly care about their customers
I have cool touch come out every 6 months to give a service to my air conditioning and I have never had an issue I recommend this company over any other company in Arizona I will continue to use them they are top notch they are kind they are honest and if they make a mistake they definitely will turn around and fix it as soon as possible so don't go anywhere else I yelp everything and I review everything and they got my vote

Incredibly over priced.  We have a dual fuel system (gas furnace and a heat pump that both cools and heats).  The heat pump side, which will provide heat down to about 38 degrees, was not coming on.  Cool Touch said we had a bad thermostat.  The tech said it would cost $531 to replace the thermostat.  I questioned how it could be that expensive, and he replied 'it's because your system is a dual fuel system and the suppliers charge that much'.  I reluctantly agreed to have it replaced.  When he brought it out the next day and installed it the heat pump did indeed come on.  I noted the model number of said thermostat, (after  the tech, who also happened to be the owner, had left) looked it up on the internet and found that it can be purchased at Home Depot for $85!  Quite a mark up.  I called the company and told them I had found the thermostat could be bought from HD for 85 bucks, I was told the $531 charge included 'parts, labor and installation'.  So ok, I paid it, but seriously- $531 for about 1.5 hours of labor and an $85 thermostat?  Oh, the heat pump only came on for about a day, it's no longer working.  I won't be calling this outfit.

I heard you advertise on the radio on  Conservative talk radio.. And you look like you knew what you were doing with the BBB rating and your reviews.. But I wasn't satisfied as a customer. $900 for a small outside fan motor.. on a small older..2002 unit ridiculous!:(
Then I was told the small outside fan motor isn't available in the state of Arizona.. Have to wait 3 days..
Call Sigler Reeves at gateway they had a fan motor for $90 the post for the fan blade was a little long.. My husband went over and picked it up cut off the shaft to fit the fan blade.. Ground it to the unit. All done in one hour.   We are thinking of replacing both units but.. Cool touch won't be doing it.. we are having Collins HVAC..do it for us.

They came out and installed an air conditioning/heating system.  Apparently, the unit they installed, because of the altitude, required an extra part.  The owner told me he was going to be in Phoenix and having lunch with a friend and would come up to Prescott Valley when he was through.  I told him I would run my errands and return as quickly as I could.  I did call him when I got home and without going into all his excuses, he arrived here at 5:30 on a Friday.  I was indisposed and could not answer the phone.  We went through this same ritual on the following Tuesday, I believe it was.  Again, I called him when I got home.  He had told me he would be here between 1:00 and 3:00.  I called him at 2:30 and he had not started up the hill.  He became so irate he started swearing at me and used FU for the next 15 minutes.  I told him I had one more errand to run and would be home as close to 4:00 as I could.  He showed up about 5:00 put the part in and was screaming at me so I shut the door on him.  I called them about something that wasn't right and again he started screaming at me.  Said I should get someone else to put a new system in and he was coming up to remove what he had done.  Thankfully, to his credit, he gave me my check back.  Oh, yes, he told me the bank and bounced my check.  What happened was when I gave the guy the check, it was a Thursday and the banks were closed.  I told him I had a lot of errands to run and to tell Chris not to deposit the check unti Sat afternoon or Monday morning.  Apparently he did not do so and Chris deposited, or attempted to deposit the check before I had a chance to get to the bank and make a deposit.  So, I got screamed at for the mistake of his personnel.  I would not hire him again for anything.  Prescott Valley Heating came out, gave me an estimate and a time for installation.  I called Chris, told him he could remove his system on Friday, which he did and I cannot tell you how relieved I felt when I knew I would not be having anything to do with that company again.

We had to sleep downstairs last night because our upstairs AC unit went out. I contacted one other 24 hour AC business and got no response back...Keep in mind, I have two children and a few pets. We were terribly uncomfortable. I contacted Cool Touch at exactly 6:46 this morning and spoke to Tiffany and got an appointment scheduled for today with Luiz.

Tiffany: Thank you very much for picking up the phone and being sympathetic to our situation, it is greatly appreciated.

Luiz: It was a pleasure meeting you today. Thank you for your knowledge, fast service and awesome customer service.

I recommend Cool Touch and would give them 10 stars if I could. Thank you.

Oh, I finally got a response back from that other place too. They told me they have appointments for early next week. #trash

Absolutely TERRIBLE service!!! I noticed my air conditioning units were not cooling as efficiently as they should, so I requested a technician to come and diagnose the problem. When I scheduled the appointment, I was asked what the problem was and I clearly explained it. The technician comes and asks what's the problem? This shows a lack of communication between the technician and those in customer service. Secondly, he would NOT look at the units unless he spoke to me, the owner. The customer service rep should have made it ABSOLUTELY clear that I needed to be present if this is the case. I had to work and I asked my caretaker to be present on my behalf. I never had an issue with this from other home service companies before, so this is just ridiculous. Lastly, all the technician did was look at the units and say they're too old. He did not bother to open it, check inside, or anything like that. Our units are 18 years old, and although they are not the newest, I know that units can last at least twenty years with the proper maintenance. Just simply stating they're too old without giving any further diagnosis or explanation is absolutely appalling. This company is highly unprofessional and I recommend you take your money elsewhere!

EDIT: I was already aware that there would be a $59 service fee PER unit when I scheduled the appointment and I confirmed that was alright. Listen again to the phone conversation if you can. Your technician also would not have known it had been maintained in the past since your technician DID NOT touch them at all! He simply said it was TOO OLD and did nothing further to diagnose the issue. I could have done that myself for FREE! I have already found another company that was able to diagnose the issue and already fixed one of the units RIGHT away. Again, do NOT waste your money on this company.

First let me start by saying that I had called 2 companies referred by my home warranty and one didn't call back after stating they'd check with their technician and the other never picked up. 8.5 months pregnant and a majority of the AC repair companies had a 5 day waiting period due to the weekend and holiday. I called Cool Touch Air and they services in my area and had a technician ready who came out within the hour. Technician was able to tell Definitely would recommend this company to anyone having AC issues.

This company is shady! If they ask you about a home warranty make sure you say no. I was told since I have a home warranty they will not come out and perform a duct inspection (even though they will get paid 80 bucks) because the customer would likely use the home warranty.

First - a home warranty does not cover an inspection, so I am not sure what someone is supposed to do, second they are getting paid. Its not a free inspection. Lastly, even without a home warranty a good consumer would get quotes for needed repair anyway, so its not guaranteed they would even get the work. Makes me think no matter what the inspection reveals, they are going to drum up some need for repair.

The lady on the phone said she could try and get the manager to make an exception because they had gone back and fourth on this issue. I am sure they have since its a shady business practice. I told her no thanks dont want to business with this type of unethical company.

Do your homework and all companies.

Update based on the post from the company - they are trying to make this appear as a home warranty issue. There was no home warranty issue. I just wanted the inspection on my duct work, which I was happy to pay for, in order to get an idea if my AC was balanced correctly. They said no when they asked if I had a home warranty. They told me it was likely I would submit to my home warranty if they found any issues.

Shady company and shady response in Yelp!! Stat far away from this place. Lots of other reputable companies to give your business to.

Flat out didn't show up for appointment and didn't call. After I called them 3 hours after the end of the window, they said got too busy. On, fine, but give me a call so I'm not planning around it.

To their credit, they offered to come out and do a free water heater flush. But the damage was done and I kind of bit the lady's head off.

Hopefully this is a total one-off.

Cool Touch installed my rooftop A/C in 2009.  Don't remember why I picked them, but I'm glad I did. And when the time comes to replace the one I have, they will be the company I give my business to. Everyone that I've dealt with has been competent and friendly, from the person that answers the phone or responds to my email, to the service manager and everyone in between.  I've had service techs go that extra mile and the service manager take the side of the customer when things fell in that gray area.  They always show up on time and practised great social responsibility (wearing a face mask and shoe covers) during the COVID-19 pandemic.  Thanks to all at Cool Touch, I appreciate you all.

I have worked with Cool Touch in the past. Being a naive homeowner I gladly paid whatever they charged for AC repairs because Arizona is hot and I just wanted to make sure my family was taken care of. Recently the condenser fan motor on my unit went out and they wanted to charge me $1800 to replace it. Additionally, the tech was very forcefully trying to convince my wife and I to buy whole new unit for just $8000! I decided to try another company this time around and they replaced the motor for less than half. I will not be using Cool Touch again.

AC went out the evening of July 3rd. I tried a couple things to no avail. I called a 3 places I found on Angie's list. Left 2 voice mails and the other took my name, said Eric would call me. Also said that it would be $142.50 an hour. After waiting 3.5 hours and no call from Eric, I searched again and came across Cool Touch on Yelp. I called and they said it would be $59 service call, but it would be waived if I had service performed. Said OK and I was told that the tech would be here between noon and 4.

The tech, Robert, showed up at 1:00, diagnosed the problem, fixed it and was gone by 1:40. Now the problem with the unit was something that I would have attempted to fix on my own, but since it was July 4th there was no appliance parts stores open.

Robert fixed the unit and didn't try to over charge me or sell me anything. I would recommend Cool Touch.

Are you kidding me Batman?? These guys were at my house within a couple of HOURS when the so called competition could come next week a FULL six or seven days later??? Who the hell is going without a working A/C for a week in Phoenix, AZ??? NOT US!!!

BUT...the competition said if we want to REPLACE our unit instead of problem check, they could be at our door today or tomorrow!!  Of course....Great way to scam people out of desperation to just buy a new unit putting THOUSANDS of dollars profit in THEIR pocket! BTW, it is the one with over 200 good reviews....probably from desperate people who were willing to forego a diagnosis and just buy a new unit instead of getting an evaluation!! Right?? Not us!!! I'm no dummy!!!!

Cool Touch Air Conditioning was Johnny (Tim) on the spot!!! In fact, he called to let us know he was arriving PRIOR to the estimated time, the SAME DAY within a couple of hours of my call!! We had to rush home to meet him!!!

Well....our bill was a little over $300!!! WHEW!! We assumed we might need a new unit because our neighbors an all sides have been replacing their 15 year old units. NOT US!! Tim was honest and fixed us up within NO TIME!! We had planned on spending the night downstairs (we have two units, one up and one down) on the couches and dreading it, big time, especially for our young kid!!

Tonight, we will be sleeping like babies in our super cool upstairs bedroom, cuddled in our blankets thanks to the swift action of Cool Touch Air Conditioning!!!! Thanks, Tim, for being so honest and fixing us up within a nano second!!!!

We will NEVER consider using any other company!!!

We had our air conditioner unit kaput on us during the night. I left a message with cool touch air and since it was late/early morning. That I wouldn't hear back from them until later in the day. To my surprise I got a call before 7am and was told that he could have a technician come out from 2-6 time frame. In about 30 minutes later I got a call and said they can have a tech come out after 8am. Ken was our technician. He was an honest and upfront and found the problem. Our condenser fan was out and it had a faulty starting capacitor. He explained our options clearly and what needed to be done to repair our unit. Since he was honest and although it was a costly repair. Ken was a professional and respectful. An A+ technician in my eyes and I'm so thankful for them to get us scheduled in so fast and the same day. Thx you and awesome job...

Luis was fantastic. Came out. Taught me a lot about my unit. Solid guy.
I had purchased a Yelp deal - so I paid $80 for $100 worth of service. I have an old Carrier furnace and a switchboard went out -- very common for this furnace. Luis was helpful. Wired around the board and now my fan is running full-time. Which isn't good. I still need to have more expensive work done. I found a better deal from other guys who could install the board and do the work. So I paid $80 to Yelp. Then another $74 for Luis and his work. Too bad. I could have just paid a $70 service fee to another guy who said he was coming out. I feel like I spent too much here for this service. $174 total. But Luis was a solid guy and I was grateful for his time. You will pay a premium for Cool Touch.

We contacted Cool Touch for an estimate on a new heat pump to replace our old one.  Cool Touch sent Chris over to measure and give us an estimate.  Chris is the most knowledgeable, friendly and efficient air condition tech we have ever dealt with.  Chris told us many things about heat pumps and air conditioning in general that we didn't know about before.  We inquired about the possibility of making a small room, which is farthest from the heat pump, cooler.  Another company told us that adding a vent would greatly increase the coolness in this small room.  We asked Chris what his opinion is of this suggestion.  Chris drew up a diagram of how this return vent actually would work for us.  Chris said it would help a little but not as much as we expected it would.  After looking at his diagram we had to agree that his assessment was correct.  After checking out Cool Touch's website, BBB and reviews we decided to go with Cool Touch.  Our system was installed two days later by Cristian and Travis, two very competent, careful and efficient technicians.  We can't say enough of how pleased we are with these two young men.  Cristian was very patient showing us how to program the thermostat.  Cristian and Travis did a fantastic job of installing, getting the system running, installing a new programmable thermostat and cleaning the area where the heat pump was installed.

Cool Touch can be proud of Chris, Cristian and Travis as they represent a great company with honesty, honor and integrity.  We highly recommend Cool Touch in Peoria, Arizona, to anyone in need of air conditioning or heating needs.

After having my AC fixed and spending 650.00 my Ac went out again. I called around and a number of people gave me quotes but the best price I could find was with Cool touch. Kevin came out the same day to come look at AC. Very friendly and scheduled someone to come out as soon as possible. David and Austin came out to replace my Ac. All three Cool touch employees were friendly,professional and did an amazing job. They took the time to explain everything they did and showed me pictures of the work in the attic. I won't hesitate to recommend Cool touch for any Ac needs. Fair price and great customer service! Thanks again!

Update to this review - my A/C that was fixed five years ago is still working great. It's currently 19 years old. Could I save money by buying a new A/C? Probably. But do I need a new one? Nope. So five years later my A/C that Cool Touch told me in 2014 I needed to replace is still working. Glad I saved myself that $5000.

My mom has a fixed income and a 47 year old ac unit. I was worried someone would try to gouge her and I was beyond please that Steven was able to replace a capacitor. The best part is he was very polite and friendly and explained everything to my mother and didn't try to upsell her on anything! This kind of service is how you earn customers for life!

I've used this company twice now, mostly because I need service on a lemon I was sold by another company several years ago, and Cool Touch has never let me down.

The first time out, my compressor burned up and I had to get a new one, but they got the job done in record time (given that it was June, I appreciated it!). Fast forward two years down the road, and we have another issue with the same unit (remember, lemon).

I immediately rang Cool Touch in the wee hours, just about midnight, but still got someone to answer and got scheduled for the next day. The tech that came out was Jason and he was highly touted by the dispatcher as well as some of the reviews I've read here and elsewhere, so I had high expectations going into it, but was petrified that I would be out tons of money and potentially need a new compressor.

Jason spent a long time diagnosing the real problem and assured me the compressor was fine, which was a huge relief.  This go around, it was the outside fan motor. Apparently the bearing let go and it was all but seized up, so the compressor was cutting out (thankfully saving itself) and we were getting warm air as a result. Jason guessed this might be the problem before he set foot on the roof, but took his time to confirm and also fixed a few other minor issues we had with misaligned panels and rattling.

The best part? He had a replacement fan motor, evidently a better unit than the OEM, on his van and ready to install. I understand this is a common issue, and I was fortunate that within an a couple hours, we were back up and running and getting ice cold air again.

Jason is an absolute professional and extremely good at his job. He has a tremendous amount of knowledge and experience and displayed the utmost professionalism and integrity. Having dealt with hacks and disingenuous HVAC professionals in the past from other companies, it was a welcome change to deal with Jason and Cool Touch air.

I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for integrity and honesty when they have HVAC issues!

They sound like nice people.  Family owned business.  Because of the positive reviews here, I chose them to do preventative maintenance on my AC after buying a condo.  Good service over the phone. Technician arrrived on time.  But when he assessed the unit, he said it needed a new capacitor, and new coolant which was no longer being manufactured, meaning I would eventually need to replace the unit.  He charged me $300+ to replace the capacitor and got me to sign up for a service plan for the next year.  After doing some research online, I learned that capacitors run at most $75 but typically about $20 and take about 15 mins to install.  I also learned it was true that there is a coolant that has been made obsolete, but another industry professional explained to me that there is a substitute that works just as fine.  No need to replace the whole unit. The Cool Touch tech was trying to take all my lil coins. Integrity goes a long way.  If you don't have it, you don't deserve business.

The worst!! Had to call my landlord letting him know that our A/C wasn't working properly (obviously we been living here for couple of years and know how it works) he decided to call cool touch they came out the next day and the technician only check the thermostat and said nothing is wrong with it and tells me it's $59 dollars for me coming out then on his notes he put tenant unhappy with temperature. Three days later boom A/C breaks down. Called landlord again to let him know A/C wasn't working and of course he called cool touch again they came out the next day again another technician came out same procedures then goes well the A/C seems to be working ok but let me check it out again he goes in the roof then says I did something to it it may work but it looks like it may be a duct problem not an a/c problem. So two days later they send the license duct specialists to check out the problem he says there's nothing wrong with and duct your problem is your compressor on your a/c but I don't know how to do that there gonna have to send an a/c technician. Five hours later the a/c technician comes and says keep your a/c on until the compressor goes out or your a/c doesn't make any noise when that happens call us and will come out the next day! So as of right now we're on our six day on a 91 degree house with the un working a/c just making noise to the fullest with no cold air way to do your job

Beware.  I contacted this company when I couldn't reach my regular company.  The company sent out a tech to my rental property and they said that my system wouldn't hold pressure and I needed a whole new A/C system for a charge of about $5500.  I then called another company who tested the system and just said that it needed cleaned and recharged.  They only charged me $150.
6 months later and still no issues.  $150 vs. $5500 - you decide!

So...I took advantage of their spring special and got an Amana HVAC system installed. 16 SEER with 16 years parts and labor? Are you kidding me? 2 year test drive? I had another HVAC installer come out to give me a quote. I showed him the quote from Cool Touch. He said why didn't you jump on this deal? Anyway - system installed properly. David, Christian and Henderson did an awesome job in the very tight quarters offered. So far, I'm very pleased and hope to beat APS at their game. Only reason for 4 instead of 5 star is quote for plumbing repair unrelated to A/C. Got a quote from them (The Trusted Plumber) for $340. I asked for parts and labor breakdown but was told that they do a flat rate. Seems too high to me for the time needed for repair but I'm going for it anyway because I feel the boss, Chris Funk, stands behind his work and will do the right thing. All in all, I would highly recommend Cool Touch for A/C installation.

Thanks to Brannen, we're running cool again. We had a spot of bad luck with a tech who wasn't quite up to Cool Touch snuff but Brannen came out first thing next day and fixed the mistake. He was very nice - exactly what I'd expected from my first experience with Cool Touch. He took the time to explain what went wrong and really made my husband and I feel like valued customers. He even wore those blue carpet-saving booties. We'll definitely be back - and we'll be looking at turning our water heater needs over to them since I learned that they handled those as well.

I never, ever, ever have written a review for a company before but felt that the service was so amazing I had to! Our upstairsAC unit began to go out 2 weeks ago. It was a slow decline so we decided to ask around for recommendations from friends for a great AC company. The first company came out, charged me 140 and told me I needed a new unit without even going in my attic. The second company came out, put a capacitor in one of my units, and told me the other one needed a new unit. Then my very smart, very thorough husband called a few more companies. Cool touch came out immediately to discuss the new unit as that is what we thought what we needed. Chris (and they are all named Chris) came out and went over options. They were not the cheapest but they were honest and provided quality which you really want in an A C company. We wrote up a proposal and discussed the financing with the agreement their tech would come out to check the units before full committing to the purchase  of a new unit. Their tech (Chris) was there 2 hours later and looked at both units. He determined that we have a split AC unit, put a capacitor in the 2nd unit as it had blown, and now we have cold air blowing out of both units! What I love most is their honesty, hard work, and quick response! We are aware our units are older and will need to be upgraded. When they do, Cool Touch will be the only company we will use and only company we will recommend from here on out! My husband is seldom impressed by companies and we both agree that his research has paid off and they have definitely earned a lifetime customer.

Being new to the sw via Washington State I was on a steep learning curve for a/c issues. After another vendor tried to upsell me I interviewed two others. Shawn met with me and provided excellent information that a layman would understand. Upon further review I opted to replace my older system and was amazed at the installation process. Henderson & Sam arrived on time and after 8 hours of professional hustle the job was done including cleanup. As a newbie I highly recommend this company for price and services

Our upstairs A/C unit stopped blowing cold air at 2am Saturday night. The whole family had to go downstairs to sleep as the temperature continued to rise. Called cool touch first thing in the morning and was scheduled for Sunday afternoon. Troy arrive on time and was very professional and explained the issue and even showed us the part that went bad, didn't pressure us at all or recommend replacing the unit like some of their competitors would. The owner Chris runs a honest and fair company. He makes sure that his techs do only what's needed and DO NOT push things you don't need. He puts his customers first and makes sure they our top priority. He has also helped the elerdery and needy in the past to make sure they were safe during the hot weather.

I am so thrilled to give Cool Touch a five star review! My air conditioner stopped working Monday night. My son called Cool Touch Tuesday and they sent Steven out the same day. Steven was polite, confident and professional. He diagnosed the issue in just a few minutes, educated me about changing my filter, fixed the issue and I am happily enjoying cool temperatures- all before 6:00! We asked about a new unit when needed and he told us about some changes happening in the industry in 2020. He gave me a ballpark figure on replacing mine. His confidence made me feel at ease. This company is amazing!  Holly and Carol are always so kind when I call and they have amazing customer service skills.  I have been using them for the past 3 and 1/2 years to service my HVAC...always are they honest and I never feel taken advantage of.  Truly a good honest company.

Spent over $5,000 for a new unit in 2012. When your warranty runs out they try to up sell you on expensive services that you do not need. I am not talking about cleaning the unit. Things that cost over $1,000. Switched to their head tech Luis, who failed to inform us that the insulation on our unit was bad. Contacted company and was told it isn't something they check when they do twice a year checkups which we pay a lot of money for. Come on really! The insulation is there for a reason. Are they ignoring this until something goes wrong and we have to pay money to fix something that should have  been brought to our attention sooner? I was told I would get a call from their service manager the next day. Three days later the guy calls a does nothing but make excuses. He says he will talk to his tech. Again this is their head tech who should have noticed the obvious problem. The reason I am so upset is we are trying to sell our house and the item came up in the inspection. Even the inspector questioned  why this was not called to our attention. We put our trust in him and we were wrong for doing so. If I were you I would stay away from this company. Once your warranty runs out I would not trust them anymore. Steve

I don't know if I trust these people 100%.  We had a compressor motor go out and they replaced that and we signed up for a service, a day later we heard a knocking and the when the motor was replaced the fan was misaligned so they had to come back out and fix it and they said they thought it was like that before.

6 months later when my 2nd check up came (free under the service agreement) they came out and I wasn't home and they told my wife they we were low on coolant and there was a leak in our condenser.   They just wrote on the receipt leaky in the compressor needs new unit call us $5k.

I never called but they sent me a brochure in the mail a couple weeks later.

Of course now I'm paranoid but the AC has been working fine.

I was going to rent a commercial space for my company. The lease stated I was responsible for the air conditioner and heating system. I asked Cool Touch to evaluate the systems.  They came in one day and after complete testing and evaluation, they determined it would not be in my interest to rent this space based on the age and condition of the air conditioner. They stated it would cost me a lot to get it running properly and would probably need constant attention  and repair. The cost of the evaluation was very inexpensive and saved me lot of wasted time and money. Cool Touch was quick , thorough and very open and honest. I will use them for any future air conditioning or heating needs.

They are certainly fast and the tech was friendly and courteous, but there is definitely inflation in their price. The technician showed up 1 hr after my call, which was good. He checked the compressor and told me there is too much freon, and quoted $250 to remove freon. That was not good. At least the guy was courteous and quick, maybe that's factored into the price too.

We have used Cool Touch since 2001 when we moved to AZ.  Then had a home warranty company and were forced to use other companies a few times.  This time our air conditioner totally stopped working and of course it was 108 out!  We called Cool Touch (heck with the home warranty company, no techs available for days) and they were out here the next day,  unit wasn't available until 3 days later, so were going to do a temporary fix for us, for no added charge, to get us through.  Temporary fix was not working, so changed things around on their schedule and got a new unit installed for us the very next day.  Tech's were VERY good, personable, and knew what they were doing.  We can't say enough good things about Cool Touch!

Had called a couple other companies when my AC went out today and they couldn't get anyone out until tomorrow evening.  Luis was able to squeeze me in just before he went home for the day today!  Super quick repair and very friendly!  Air conditioning never felt so good!

I just used Cool Touch for my outside AC unit cause it started intermittenly turning off in the afternoon over the last couple days. After diagnostics we came to the conclusion that the condenser fan motor was going bad. The tech went over my pricing options and offered their additional cost maintenance program. The tech arrived at 6:10 and after doing diagnostics, going over pricing, and the installation of the new fan, he was done by 7:20. After he left I did some research on the cost of my fan motor. The most I have seen it for sale is close to $100. Their price for the motor and install was $789. I saved 20% by signing up for their annual maintenance which after the total came out to $631 plus $15 a month for annual maintenance for a total of $646. So for 25 min of diagnostics, 20 min of going over pricing and 25 min. to install the motor I paid $546 for an 1 hour of labor or $689 if I didnt sign up for their maintenance program. I slept on it and woke up feeling like I really got screwed or gouged on the pricing. They showed up when they said they would, everyone I dealt with was nice but dont think I could use them again based on this pricing.

Recently I turned on the AC and noticed it wasn't blowing very cold, and in fact it was barely cool. I had a friends husband change out the old thermostat to a digital one thinking it wasn't working right, but that didn't do it. After doing some research I found Cool Touch and like everyone I saw the good reviews and decided to give them a try. I called them this morning around 9:45 and was told they'd be out 10-2. Within minutes I got a call saying a service tech would be there in 25 minutes, and it didn't even take that long. Robert was very nice and professional and explained that I had a crack in my freon line, some of my ductwork was opened up, not to mention all of the nasty pigeon mess. He repaired and cleaned everything and even fixed the thermostat (it wasn't done correctly yesterday.. Oops). Now I have a cold AC, colder than it's been the entire time I've lived here and I signed up for the service plan. It even runs quieter!
In any case, this is a great company and I'm really glad I found them. I will definitely continue using them!

We had not had our A/C unit checked in a couple of years, so we though since it was already 2000 degrees outside, better get it done so we won't have any surprises.  I looked on Yelp to see what companies got the best ratings and I found Cool Touch.  Every rating 5 stars!  I called and spoke with a very nice lady who set my appointment within the same week, which was great.  Chris (one of the owners) came out today and serviced my unit.  He was very professional, friendly, and knowledgeable.  I didn't get that creepy feeling like I have had before from some technicians.  He serviced our two units and showed my that we had a couple of capacitors that were starting to fail.  I went ahead and authorized replacement and got the Service Agreement which covered the maintenance today, in the Fall and next Spring.  I feel very comfortable with Cool Touch and highly recommend them!

I had an AC issue and needed it to be taken care of ASAP.  It was about 7pm in the evening and they were able to send out a tech minutes after I called.  The tech showed up, was very nice and helpful, and showed me what to do incase the AC went out again (it was really an electrical issue and the electrician wasn't able to come out right away).  Their service fee was only a few dollars more than my home warranty service fee, which was totally worth it for the same day (evening) service.

I called the other day when my AC wasn't working. The person I talked to walked me through narrowing down what the problem was...  two other companies I called wouldn't do that... they were only interested in setting up $100 appointment just to diagnose the issue.

These guys were very helpful and patient and spent 15 minutes with me on the phone, just explaining to me what the problem most likely was and the costs involved in fixing it.

When he found out I had a home warranty, he advised me to go through them, since it would save money on my end. Super great guys... I'll definitely go through them if anything else happens to my AC.

I was looking for a local A/C contractor to service my a/c just to make sure it was ready to handle the summer heat. Luis came out from Cool Touch and was amazing. Luis was very thorough but also went out of his way to explain what he was doing and why. He also showed me how to program my thermostat properly in order to set it at certain temps while I'm not home and for it to start cooling the house down before I get home. Luis was very nice and didn't try to sell me on things that I didn't need. He recommended the maintenance program and explained what it was and why it could benefit me and how it could save me $$ in the event I needed a part for a repair. I will definitely be taking him up on that program. I was very pleased with the professionalism of Cool Touch and Luis and will be using them as my go-to local HVAC contractor.

Another large AC repair company had told me my heat exchange was bad and I would need to replace my entire unit.  I asked Cool Touch to come give me a second opinion - Brannen diagnosed the real issue and easily made a quick repair saving me thousands of dollars!  Cool Touch AC rocks!

Helped us out when we were in a bind.

I checked yelp, and this company seemed the best, so I called. Our AC went out on a Friday afternoon, and the warranty company wouldn't send someone out til Saturday! GRRR. When I looked that company up on yelp, they weren't even on here! That's when I started looking to see who actually knew what they were doing and ethical, and found Cool Touch.

I called on a Saturday, and the gal explained the AC units they use/ recommend, due to the warranties the different companies have on their units and based on how often they break. I ended up getting a payout from the warranty company and using Cool Touch to get a new AC for our house.  They couldn't come until Monday to evaluate, and Tuesday to install. Meantime, we had to buy a window unit (I saw some other company, or maybe it was this one? offered another customer a window unit on loan--we didn't get that offer). our window unit sufficed until it was time to get the new one, so hopefully we won't have any issues for a while now!

Anyway, they got right out on Monday, just like they said. The other good thing? they have financing options through a credit union, so they were able to get me a loan so I didn't have to come up with thousands of $$ that I didn't have on the spot or go w/o ac forever and buy a bunch of window units for all over the house for much less.  *whew, what a relief*

They asked some ppl to reschedule for Tuesday so they could install our unit, since it was an emergency, so a big thank you to Cool Touch and their awesome understanding customers who were just upgrading to a bigger unit.  Luis came and explained everything about pricing both on the phone and then w/ his chart in person, and let me pick based on what I wanted to spend. He also said to go to Cool Touch's website, where I found the financing info. I applied online and within an hour, they had an answer for me.

FYI, in case you're getting an AC installed and yours, too, has been out for days: it takes longer than a little while to get the house back to (whatever your normal temp was). They had ours installed in just over 3 hours (we have the unit on the side of the house and air handler inside, no attic or roof access needed here). The house was in the 90's, and you could feel it getting cooler, but it still took until maybe from 1145am when they finished, until about 10 or 1030 pm to get the house back to 78 degrees (we had it off for 3h due to the SRP 3h pricing plan 3-6). We have a 1-story house. I called them about 8pm and left a msg why wasn't my house back to 78 yet? should it take this long? I didn't get the msg that the guy called me back, but then Luis called me the next morning (on July 4th, no less) to check on me and see if the house was cooled down yet. I told him it was, but why did it take so long? He said that because mine was off for days, the attic and all the walls were absorbing all the heat of the sun, and it took longer to cool all that back down again.

They still need to come and check the blower fan, as it's not as high as they said it would be,and therefore my rooms are still, some warmer/some colder, but I'll wait for the emergencies from our summer heat to be over to get on their schedule for that.

I just love this company!! They totally revamped our entire A/C system including a new unit and an entirely new duct system in 2013. We had messed around with a home warranty company for two years trying to repair an out of date and dilapidated system. Unfortunately, we were lured away by Goettl Air when a plumbing job went south. Friday, 6/24/16, our A/C quit cooling. I called Goettl where I got the run around and was told they could not send a tech out until 7/1/16. Then it would be $79 for a service call. The A/C is still under warranty and we were supposed to have a club membership with them. I told them to forget it.
I called Cool Touch and was told a technician would be out Monday. I have a respiratory condition and if I had remembered to tell them that they would have had someone out to our house the same day. Troy came out Monday. The problem was a manufacture error with a machine weld on a small copper tube. He fixed the problem quickly and recharged the system. Now blessed cool air is flowing through our house once again. The best part is there was no charge for the repair or the service call. It was totally covered under warranty. We immediately signed up for the maintenance contract and will never leave Cool Touch again!!! Another great job, Cool Touch and Troy!!!

Wow!!! Saturday night about 9pm my AC is blowing but not cool air......my handicapped son fast asleep the temp was rising quickly with June heat.  I contacted several companies with no results and then I found cool touch!!!  They called me right back and had Robert, the tech, out within an hour!!!  He was polite and showed me exactly what was going on.  Repair complete and air back on within an hour of his arrival!  The price was very reasonable and the service unbeatable!!!  I will be a customer from now on!!! Robert and Cool touch saved the day!!!

My AC stopped functioning properly in the middle of a heat wave, and even though it was after 6PM, Chris (the owner) rushed right over to try to help me.  Things didn't go smoothly at first, but Chris went above and beyond to correct the problem and ensure my satisfaction.  In the end I was very satisfied with the result. I would highly recommend Chris and and his team!

My AC kept tripping breaker, started out infrequent, then was after a couple of minute. I suspected a bad breaker, but wanted it checked. Called Cool Touch, and Susan answered near closing time. Turns out phone was maybe forwarded and said she would call back when she got home to a computer. Susan called back as promised and set an appt for next day. Susan called next day to ask if I was available as the tech was running ahead of schedule, perfect! Luis was professional and confirmed my suspicion. He asked if I knew how to change out breaker to save me the markup, etc. (I did). Great experience, on- time, and the $59 service call was well worth piece of mind. Thank you Cool Touch!

Air conditioning quit working and got 92 degrees in the house. I saw the great reviews on here so I called them immediately. Had great service right away. Had a technician out in 20 minutes to the house. Julian was friendly and immediately found a capacitor bad. He had the air conditioning up and running in no time. Great quick friendly service. I would recommend cool touch to everybody.

I called on Saturday for a basic service call. Price was reasonable at $59. They were booked until 12 but I was called as soon as a tech was available. Louis came out to check the unit. Now my unit is 19 yrs old so typically ac companies tell me I need a new one. Not Louis. He checked my unit and told me it was running at all optimal conditions.  He even said if its not broke don't fix it, which you never hear from ac guys.  Their techs get paid per hour and not by commission. Their care for the customers' best interest really shows. He took the time to explain the service he performed and was very professional.

Jason, Jason, Jason. I can't explain how pleasant it was to deal with Jason. I called cool touch and an hour later jason was there.  My downstairs a/c had went out and I was dreading the repair. Jason was amazing he found my problem right away and fixed it.  I was up and running 3 hrs after it went out. My unit has never worked better. I definitely recommend cool tough and especially Jason. Great dude will be using again when in need

The Cool Touch Team was great!
Robert was friendly and gave me a lot of information. He did not just try to tell me that my unit needed to be replaced. (Like the 4 other companies who came to my house for 5 minutes). He actually told me I had options. He spent an hour and half here but in the end I decided to have my entire unit(s) replaced. Kevin who came out to do the measurements was great. He was friendly and at no point made me feel like I had to buy new unit(s). He also was informative and polite. On the day of the install, they were organized and finished the job the same day! They were here for over 10 hours, because they were so concerned about doing the job just right. They did not leave a mess either. The only thing that happened was that someone stepped through the drywall above the bathroom. But that was not a problem at all because they sent someone out to have it fixed right away. And now it looks good as new (like it never happened). During the install I could not really give them the attention they deserved because I was extremely ill. But my mom was there to assist them with anything they needed or asked. About two days later, I received a get well card from their company. Overall this company is a fantastic company, and I am so happy that I choose them over anyone else. I will not have any problem referring them to anyone who needs this type of services. I hadn't had my air conditioner looked at for about 8 yrs. (I'm a snowbird and don't use it much) so thought I would have it serviced. My sister said leave it alone if it isn't broke don't fix it, because they had a company and after they left it had all kinds of problems they never had before. However I researched Yelp and decided from reviews to try Cool Touch. The receptionist was friendly, the service man was polite, and when he was done he said it works fine and doesn't have any issues. I breathed a sigh of relief. I trust it will continue to work fine. I was pleased with this company.

Our house was cold when we came back from Christmas vacation Dec.30, 2012.  CoolTouch sent a tech out on New Years Eve.  Luis was very professional and we are confident he checked to make sure there wasn't anything that could be done short of replacing the 12 year old unit. The compressor was locked which meant it tripped the breaker after about 10 seconds.  He explained all of our options and we decided to upgrade one SEER level.  The installation crew was there 3 days later with a crane- we have a roof unit- and had the new unit installed within 4 hours.  The installation included a new programmable thermostat and a new more efficient return port (where the filter resides).  They also ran new thermostat wiring from unit to t'stat- and put it in conduit on the roof- the original installer just ran the wire across the roof.  You can imagine what kind of shape that was in after 12 Phoenix summers!  The price included a pre-summer cooling season check and a winter heating season check.  Luis was just here today for that final pre-paid check, and made sure everything is perfect.  We will be scheduling our next regular maintenance with them around April.  Our final bill for the unit and installation was $5600- I don't recall the unit capacity, but it heats and cools our single-story 1470 sq.ft. efficiently- and it's so much quieter than the old unit. I will recommend CoolTouch to anyone!

I'm from California and was staying at the home of some relatives while they were out of town.  Early in the morning I observed what looked like smoke coming from the air conditioning condenser.  I immediately turned off the heater and jumped on yelp for help.  Cool Touch had a great rating and was close by so I called and spoke to a very friendly gal named Susan.  She explained that they could be out later the same day and she would call me to keep me posted.  They arrived right on time and much to my chagrin it was a false alarm.  What I thought was smoke was actually steam.  When I tried to pay him for coming out he didn't even charge me for the service call.  With this kind of honesty and integrity it is easy to see how Cool Touch earns such high ratings.
