We bought a home built in the 80's and found out there were many electrical problems and code violations. We also wanted to change out every light fixture, including chandeliers and add recessed lighting. I gave Robert and Brayden a daunting list upon arrival and they powered (pardon the pun) through it in one day. I contacted Castle Electrical and Lightning to have a Tesla Wall Charger that I purchased installed. I was able to get a fair quote with just a few photos of the location of where I wanted the charger installed. Robert arrived on time and was very professional. My wife was working from home and the kids were doing remote learning so turning off the power wasn't really an option. Robert was able to do the full install without turning off the power to the house. Amazing! After finishing the install Robert cleaned up I paid him and he was gone all within about an hour.

I'm so happy that I chose Castle to install my charger! I highly recommend them for any electrical work that you need done.

I needed a dedicated 30AMP outlet in my garage for our RV. I called 3 other electricians before speaking with Castle. The first one couldn't come out to even give me an estimate for three weeks. The other two came out and gave me quotes that seemed not only high, but not appropriate for what I needed done.

After a bit more research, I found Castle and began speaking with/texting the owner John who asked me a series of questions before providing a reasonable quote. One of their specialties is installation of outlets for electric vehicles, so I felt very comfortable scheduling the work with them and had confidence that they knew what they were doing.

John was able to get me scheduled in for the following week and his technicians arrived on time and finished the work in record time. Robert and Jacob were friendly, thorough, explained exactly what they were going to do and got the job done in less than 3 hours (other companies told me it could take 5-6 hours for the job to be completed). Even though my extension cord was about 10' short, they helped me get the RV up to the garage so we could test out the extension cord to make sure everything worked as intended.

Their pricing was fantastic and far below what the other 2 electricians quoted. I would HIGHLY recommend Castle for electric service and specifically, for a dedicated outlet for a vehicle/RV.

Hired Castle Electrical to install a Wall Connector for my Tesla. John (assume he is the owner) was very responsive from my first contact and took the time to explain the various options and was able to quote the job based on photos.

He arrived right on time and got the job done in just a couple hours. Very clean, professional work and John was super courteous. He even took some time to answer a few other unrelated electrical questions.

I was having a problem with a tripped GFCI outlet in our garage, but wasn't finding the reset outlet nor anything in the circuit breaker box to reset it. I finally gave up and decided to call Castle Electrical because they had been referred to us. I explained my problem, & John at Castle asked me the age & location of our home & told me where that GFCI outlet would most likely be -sure enough, garage outlets were all reset. Saved me BOTH the wait for an electrician to come out AND the cost of it. Great service. Will definitely call them again for any of our electrical needs.

My experience with Castle Electric was outstanding. I needed to install a Tesla Charger in my garage, and had received an on-site estimate from another company. That estimate was quite high, and after that contractor evaluated my panel and pulled breakers, my pool equipment stopped working. Numerous positive reviews led me to Castle. John Marenghi and his team made the process simple and straightforward. After I texted him a few photos, I had an estimate that was much lower and was scheduled within a week. John's team worked with my schedule, showing up while I was at work and completing the job shortly after I arrived home. The install was clean and professional, the service friendly, trustworthy, and efficient. It's been a game changer being able to charge 40mph at home. Much thanks to the team at Castle. My definite go to for electrical work in the future.

Called Castle Electrical & Lighting to replace Tesla wall connector (charging station) that was no longer functional. The owner, John, was knowledgeable and had no problem understanding my issues. We set up a time for the next week, and John texted me about 30-minutes before the electrician (Robert) showed up at my house. Robert finished the work in about 20-30 minutes, left the workspace clean, and we tested the car to ensure that everything worked.

Pricing was extremely competitive, and everyone was professional with the entire process. As hassle-free as you can get! Can't ask for much else from an electrician contractor. Do yourself a favor and give them a call if you need electrical work done at your house.

We were referred by Tesla to have our Tesla wall charger installed by this local company.
We texted the owner several times for an estimate over the last few weeks. He took forever to respond, I sent in photos of my electrical panels. We still have not heard back from him our Tesla is being delivered tomorrow and we don't have a wall charger installed to charge our car. We feel ghosted. Not sure why Tesla would add him on their list of recommended electrician, horrible communication and experience we have had. We would not recommend this company and will share our experience with Tesla.

I had a tesla wall connector installed. The installation was challenging as the breaker panel was on the far side of the house. Through email John and I were able to communicate well and exchange photos and ideas for routing the conduit. John showed up on time and he and his partner were able to do a great job and clean up.

The range hood and an outlet have been out for the past ten years. I ken I would have to have it fixed eventually but put it off. Another outlet went dead so my wife called Castle Electric and set up an appointment. I work from home so scheduling wouldn't be an issue.

John called and said he would be here in 30 minutes. He was on time. I explained the history of the three issues and told him I'd be in my office.He searched around with his toner to trace the wires from the outside of the walls. It turns out I caused the problem when I put a doggie door in around 10 years ago. He didn't even laugh at me! He replaced the outlet I put in. the third one turned out to be a blown outlet and he replaced that one too.

These guys are seriously pro. I scheduled via Yelp/text with John easily. The electrician (Robert) called about 10 minutes before showing up exactly on-time.

My project was relatively small: replacing a bunch of outlets and switches for home automation. Robert knocked out the first few, then he suggested we test the three-way relay switch one before continuing, since it can be tricky. We ironed that out and then he knocked out the rest quickly, including replacing a small box with one big enough to handle the upgraded outlet.

Friendly and confident, will definitely be my first call when I need an electrician.

I called Castle and 2 other companies to get a quote for a Tesla wall charger. John the owner responded quickly and gave me the best quote. He was also able to get out here and get it done within a couple of days. On the day of the appointment his employee that he was going to send out ended up being busy so John came out and did it himself! Awesome! He did a great job on the install, great customer service explaining everything about the charger that I needed to know. I was in need of a new electrician so I first went into NextDoor. Having seen a number of great reviews on Castle Electric I also checked YELP and over 70 reviews with all 5 star reviews was enough to make that call. My job was not urgent nor big but John got me on the calendar within a 2 week timeframe. Robert called on the front side of the 3 hour window I was given to say he would be arriving in 20 minutes. What a nice guy. Treated my home with such respect, efficiently performed work we needed done and could not have been more pleasant. What a great experience! John was so extremely professional and courteous. He came the same day I called for an in home estimate to install an outlet on my back patio and scheduled me for the service in the same week. Not only did he tell me ahead of time what window he would be coming out, he also followed up the day of and sent me a text to let me know he'd be over in 30 minutes.

You don't see that a lot with customer service, unfortunately...companies actually following through on what they said they would do. The outlet is perfect and I will definitely be using them again for electrical needs.

I got three estimates to install my Tesla wall charger. Based on the Yelp reviews, I hired John from Castle Electrical. Their prices were fair and the service was GREAT! He set up the appointment and texted to let me know he was on his way so I didn't have to wait around all day - so much better than other companies who give you a four to five hour window. Not so many electricians have installed EV chargers for electric car. I have BMW i3 and needed to have JuiceBox charger installed. John was great. I recently bought a tesla and therefore needed to get the proper charging setup in my garage. John had me send some pics and quoted me on the install. I was happy with the quote so I had him come out. When he got there we started talking about how I would probably need the ability to charge two cars in the future and therefore we agreed on the install of two nema 14-50 outlets to support two electric vehicles. It ended up costing another $100 for the second one but I was happy with the price. A few hours later, John finished the project, cleaned up after himself and I sent payment via venmo. I would highly recommend John for any of your future electrical needs.

Castle Electric was the 2nd proposal we received to install canned and under cabinet lighting in our kitchen. After I met with John who came out early the following day after I initially called, I hired him on the spot because of his knowledge, friendly demeanor and the fact that he had done work for a family member. John's initial quote was very fair and continued on that way after we decided to have more work done. All work was done promptly, as promised, and they took care of covering cabinets and flooring as well as cleaning up afterward.

I'm a new homeowner and of course needed electrical work done to my condo. I looked on Yelp at several companies and found Castle. John and Robert did not disappoint. The replaced all the outlets, covers, and fixed the wires for me. They worked a couple of other problems that needed to be updated in the kitchen as well. Basically, everything that came up during the inspection - they handled. The price was spot on, fair and reasonable. Robert showed up, a little before 7am, on the day of service and knocked it out the park. I would recommend using them if you need any electrical work done. I highly recommend John Marenghi and Castle Electrical! John just finished installing a new panel on my house, ran a dedicated line to my microwave, and installed a ceiling fan and several light fixtures. Why I'm giving Castle 5 stars:

John's quote was detailed. I had a clear picture of what he was going to do and the steps neccessary to accomplish the job.

He showed up on time, gave me a heads up he was on his way and did what he said he would do.

He handled everything with the City of Scottsdale and SRP.

He cleaned up EVERYTHING. He removed and hauled away a old satellite dish that was near the electrical connector, hauled away the old light fixtures and the boxes from the new fixtures.

He gave me suggestions. One fixture I wanted replaced he suggested moving a bit. It was something I hadn't thought of. It turned out he was right! The new fixture looks much better in the new location.

He was honest. Once he got to the house I showed him an outdoor patio light that was monkey rigged. I wanted to replace the fixture but didn't know the effort it would take to install a new light into the stucco/concrete block wall. He quoted what I thought was a fair price and he performed the work. At the end of the day when I went to write him a check he said that the effort to install the outdoor patio light wasn't as intensive as he first thought so he only asked for half of what he had originally quoted me!

He was polite and professional as was Matt that assisted him on the job.

I would definitely hire Castle Electrical again.

John the owner was very responsive, Munich hate it throughout the day about when he would be coming, so I was never left wondering if you was going to show up or not. He gave me a free estimate, and I hired him for the work, started within two days. He didn't ask me for any deposit or money upfront, which I really appreciate, knowing that he was confident in his work quality and completion of the job would be done right. While he was at our house, he also looked at some other projects that we are considering, and gave us an estimate for that also. We needed some electrical work done in our garage, we were adding some outlets for additional lighting and a 240 volt outlet to our backyard. John came out and did a thorough and professional job. Really nice guy too. Made some recommendations also that we didn't even think of. My husband is really picky and John did an amazing job, impressed my husband. Castle Electric will be our go to electricians from now on. We highly recommend!

I used Castle Electric to install a NEMA 14-50 outlet for my Tesla Model 3 (Standard Range). The process was fast, cost was competitive, and extremely convenient. Per my request, most communication was handled through text, including scheduling, and even giving a firm bid without seeing the home. While I ended up being home for the installation, I confirmed with them beforehand that I did not need to be, as they only needed access to the garage. In a nutshell, I felt like Castle Electric went above and beyond what was needed, even making it a 60 amp breaker in case I decided to upgrade to the Tesla Wall Charger in the future. I'll definitely use Castle Electric going forward for any of my electrical needs.

John along with his partner installed a new 200amp electric panel - the initial meeting John was very thorough and explained the process so that I was completely prepared for the work
John is very professional and very competent at his trade and skill
He also put in some electrical outlets in my laundry during his time waiting on APS technicians
I would most definitely hire John and his company to do any/all electrical work on my house without hesitation

I recently had Castle Electrical & Lighting come out to install an outlet in my home. Before I hired them, John was quick to respond via email, text and phone. Additionally, he was incredibly professional. Once he and his colleague, Matt arrived - they were faced with a couple of challenges but were quick to determine the best route to take. I had a power outage in one of the rooms of my house on a Friday. I called one company and was told they wouldn't be able to come out until the following Tuesday. I called Castle Electrical & Lighting and left a message. A few hours later, John Marenghi called me back. He indicated that he wouldn't be able to come out until the following Monday, however, he spent several minutes on the phone trying to troubleshoot the problem. Although it was determined that I would need in-person assistance, I was very impressed with the level of customer service John showed by spending the time troubleshooting. The other company that I called did not offer that service. John came to my house as scheduled, determined and resolved the problem efficiently and professionally, and also completed a second electrical job that I had not mentioned when I made the appointment. I would definitely recommend Castle Electrical & Lighting services based on my experience with John!

John the owner reached out to me almost immediately after putting in the inquire. He was extremely professional and courteous from the start. I accepted his bid and he was able to accommodate my project (3 chandeliers) 4 days later. I am very happy with the results. He and Jason did a beautiful job hanging my crystal chandeliers. Great service from Castle! The price for the indoor/outdoor job at our house was exactly what we were quoted over the phone. Responsive, knowledgeable and competitively priced. Called for help installing some home automation smart light dimmers. They were able to schedule me in less that 24hrs. He was honest and did not try to upsell me on additional services, even offered to show me how my home was wired in case I wanted to do additional dimmers myself. He even talked to customer service for my home automation system to help answer a system-specific question I had about how to get the most out of my new system. I have referred them to friends and will use them again for more home upgrades and repairs.

John and his technnician Matt did a fabulous job installing 12 new can lights, modifying 2 older fixtures, and installing dimmer switches. They were ontime, professional and worked hard to protect furniture and appliances from damage or dust. They also were extremely helpful with suggestions for light placement. They cost they quoted was the cost that was reflected in final bill. Their charges were much less expensive than other companies. We will DEFINITELY use Castle Electric for all future projects.
