I was searching for J&K cabinets for my Bathrooms and The J&K sales person gave me Rodney at Cardinals info. I called Rodney and in no time at all Rodney had me a quote and design! The Space for the Vanities were non standard and others had said it had to be a certain size and layout which was not what we wanted! In talking with Rodney he said yes it's tricky but it will work and a good installer will have no problem! Rodney put me in touch with his installer and a Countertop vendor. We quickly had everything scheduled from Delivery to install to countertops! It all went off like clockwork with zero issues, surprises or delays! They were all professional friendly and helpful and did great job!
The J&K line Cardinal Sells is in my opinion the best most versatile line of Ready To Install cabinets out there! The options and accessories rival semi custom built to order cabinets with no long wait times or the delays that go with that!
Cardinal and their recommended vendors are all top shelf as far as I am concerned and I will not hesitate to recommend them to my family and friends!

Our cabinet process ended up being one of the most frustrating processes of our home renovation.

The process started out well, with Rodney helping us to find the perfect cabinets, the price was fair and he worked within our quick timeline which we appreciated. The installation went exactly as planned and was great. But then we started to notice a lot of little things not done: adjustments, door knobs and handles, trim pieces around our microwave... it took over four weeks for us to finally get them to send someone back out to fix things. Here we are almost eight weeks later and we still do not have functioning drawers in one of our bathrooms (they were supposed to order new hardware and never did) and they have stopped responding to us and our contractor.

The cabinets are beautiful but the professionalism is highly lacking. The price is always good, but if the process is a nightmare, it's not worth it.

Interesting to read the reviews now...the cabinets are beautiful, we love them and their high quality. We had our own installer who did a fantastic job. However when the appliances arrived, the stove didn't fit. I'm pretty sure this was an error on Rodney's part. When I was to brainstorm ideas, he yelled at me over the phone and interrupted me. I was hoping he would offer a friendly solution but instead said it wasn't his fault but the installers fault. Rodney was so rude on the phone and didn't provide excellent customer service. For the amount of money involved in cabinets you would think he would at least be empathetic to the situation and provide some solutions. He never fixed the problem and we had to pay extra for someone to help us. If you're looking for good quality cabinets at a good price this is a good option. Just go through the other sales reps there.

Everything about my cabinet experience was perfect! I worked with Sergio and it was the easiest process. Cabinets came in earlier than expected, delivered when said they would be delivered, installer (Conrad) was here on time and did a fantastic job. Sergio was at my house at 6 am to unbox and check all cabinets to make sure there was no damage and all of the order arrived. No problems whatsoever I would highly recommend this company and Sergio!

The selection and install process was pretty smooth and quick. However, our cabinets were installed with a couple of defects and errors. I have called and emailed Rodney and spoken to him several times over the last few months but he keeps telling me that they are busy and will get to it...this is frustrating and I'm embarrassed that I've recommended him to several friends.

Rodney, first of all you offered the cabinet style/configuration without EVER communicating that they were custom cabinets. Second, from what I was told by your own people, it's your father's company that made the cabinets. Nice, throwing your own family under the bus! (And the oven still doesn't fit correctly after that half-assed fix you did.)

Cardinal Cabinets installed all of our new cabinetry in each bathroom, our kitchen center island, and our family room entertainment center. Cardinal cabinets - pricing was below my other quotes, but then again you get what you pay for. He sent his guy out here to deliver the cabinets by himself when it was 115 degrees and expected him to bring them in by himself? I ended up helping him and it wasn't easy, when I texted him about this he told me he threw in delivery free as a courtesy. Oh thanks, so you send out a guy in 115 degree weather who is exhausted and what does that equal? Cabinets hitting walls, dragging against floors etc. Of course the guy is hot as heck and tired. I am short handles for the cabinets and emailed him about this 2 weeks ago to which he questioned whether or not I was short. Bottom line, I'm not in the business to screw him out of cabinet handles. So if you factor in my labor in helping his delivery guy bring in the cabinets and the handles I had to go out and buy, you might be better off with another cabinet company.

As far as the cabinets go, they are very nice cabinets, there was an issue with one cabinet face that fell off, he sent out his guys to fix that, and another cabinet face that seemed to be missing stain, they also came out to replace that door. But at the end of the day these are J&K cabinets so I don't know if that falls on J&K (who is the manufacturer) or Cardinal cabinets. Rodney also discounted some additional false doors and a glass door for the corner unit.

Either way, I didn't like the fact that he couldn't send me out a couple more handles for the exact amount that was ordered, but maybe that comes with the lower priced cabinets, who knows? If he would get back to me about the handles like he did when he wanted my business, this review might have been 4 stars, but the facts are the facts.

Would not recommend. Unfriendly customer service and ultimately not happy with the process. In our opinion we ended up with an incomplete install, as Rodney screamed at us over the phone, and refused to get us the extra parts we needed and were willing to pay for. We tried sourcing parts directly from J&K, as Rodney decided to end the business communication, but they wanted to charge $120 for a 10 foot piece of 3/4 molding. We ended up finding a comparable part at Home Depot for $2.50. If you decide to do business with this company, make sure you get a complete scope of work in writing, because services you think you paid for can turn into conveniences to him that he can walk away from at any time.

By far the best experience I have had in my personal and professional remodeling background with both this company and their installer. To say Cardinal Cabinets delivers is an understatement. Hubby and I called on a Sunday to ask a few questions before stopping by. We were informed they had just moved to their new Mesa location, but advised we were still welcome to stop in. We showed up; yes they were seriously in the midst of the weekend company move. (Side note: We went to another cabinet company on the same Sunday -Closed every Sunday, and prior to this we had already tried to work with 2 other cabinet companies only to be met with irritated designers that were unable and unwilling to pull up a quick ballpark estimate or design for a basic install. We were told to send our kitchen measurements and they would email us a design in possibly 2 weeks. Both designs were way over done and to discuss we needed to make a trip back to be sold in person.) Cardinal Cabinets Owner, Rodney, in the midst of moving chaos welcomed us while helping another couple and informed us he would be right with us; he pulled up 2 chairs, designed our kitchen on the spot and explained once we were ready he would order our cabinets. He followed through on every commitment -cabinets delivered exactly as stated at first meeting and installer showed up as scheduled -wham bam done! Cabinets exceeded all expectations. Insane perfection & quality!

Rodney was extremely rude and yelled at me in the office when I went to pick-up my cabinets. He wouldn't even tell me how many shelf pins I needed for the amount of cabinets I ordered. Because I am a retired teacher he said I spoke to him like he was a kindergartner. He continued insulting me, while standing over me with his hands on his hips, definitely trying to intimidate me. I was seated at another person's desk. I kept my low voice and asked him why are you yelling? He continued personal insults, such as how my handyman must hate working for me. After I left, we noticed he had given us three wrong-sized cabinets. My son got involved because of Rodney and I had to pay more money for the correct cabinets. If I didn't like the product so well I would have gone elsewhere. But, I will report him to BBB and the company.

Well it seems as if we are having some of the same difficulties as other customers are having. Rodney was great when he came out to measure and discuss our needs. Once we agreed to purchase everything seemed to be going smoothly. Once installation started is when problems started to happen. Certain cabinets were not measured correctly, reason being is Rodney assumed we were removing $1500.00 dollars of back splash. Once we got that all figured out, installation started again only to come across more cabinets that didn't fit correctly. We have finally come to the end of installation, now it's a night mare trying to get Rodney to have someone come out to do repairs. We email him, texted him, call him, if he answers he gives us the I'm waiting for my installer to tell me when he is available. Doesn't seem that customer service is real big priority for this company. We will give it about another week before we contact the registrars of contractors which my wife used to work for, for many years. And since the previous Director has now become an attorney and is a personal friend we will make contact with him also. All we are asking for is that the repairs be made and we move on.
