Pathetically poor customer service from the extremely rude FELICIA who answers the phone at Big G Plumbing. Today when trying to confirm the time for their arrival and requesting a 30 minutes "heads up" for their arrival, Felicia told me to "JUST BE THERE" at the property address and that their technician would call me when he was leaving his prior job and that he would only wait 15 minutes before leaving for the next job if I could not make it to the appointment address (a rental on the other side of town from us, thus the request for a 30 minute courtesy call as we don't live there). She totally talked over me, raising her voice - telling me that I NEVER asked her when the appointment was initially made (2 weeks ago) for a 30 minutes courtesy call - that I must be mistaken. So she was calling me a liar. So unprofessional. WOW~! Then she promptly hung up on me. So at that point I didn't know if we still had an appointment or NOT. I called her right back but she did not answer the phone, so I asked her to call me back and that I felt she owed me a apology for talking over me and hanging up on me when all I was trying to do was obtain their arrival time window. By the way - this was at 10:45 today and their arrival window today was between noon and 2:00 - so you would think my request would be easy to accommodate since we were so close to the time window. She treated me like dirt. Then the owner GREG called me and he said he was canceling our service today, he thought it was best to not service our property. I'm not sure what his office person FELICIA told him but if he heard her side of the conversation he could only imagine that I was talking as abusively as she was, but I certainly was not. I am a professional business owner and would immediately FIRE any of our employees who would treat a customer the way FELICIA did. He chose to be weak and to side with his office person vs. asking me to discuss the situation. I told him that we were so close to the job being done today, that I just wanted a 30 minute courtesy call, and that I was not understanding why he would cancel the appointment that we had waited 2 weeks for. Suffice to say that at this point their company is OFF our radar for many reasons, they are a total disappointment for allowing a worker to talk to clients the way FELICIA did today. I've never left a bad rating for anyone on this site before, but felt compelled to do so since the owner mauled this situation so badly. Maybe this gal was having a bad day, maybe she treats everyone this way, but there is no excuse for overreacting to such a simple and common request. So I'm glad to not be working with BIG G PLUMBING after all, as any ongoing warranty or service work would have been nightmarish for sure~!
So be warned people, these are not people you want to do business with.
By the way, this was warranty work through Landmark Home Warranty, and it seems they don't treat warranty calls with any value or respect. Lesson learned on our end to avoid them at all costs. They don't deserve the one star rating, it should be ZERO.
