Bob does basically perfect work. He's meticulous, detailed, and you can count on him to do the right thing on all the issues that are behind the drywall that you would never see, or know to ask for. Well he just does the right thing, no matter what. I gained confidence in Bob's work pretty quickly, I know I don't have to be around to watch how he implements something, because he's gonna do it right, more right than I would have thought of. This is one guy who does NOT take shortcuts! He won't do anything that is not to code, that is not safe.

Bob is one of those technical types that actually understands circuits and consequences of various shortcuts and previous contractor mistakes. This is good, as when leaves, you can sleep at night knowing the job isn't going to catch fire on you.

He also showed me some new lighting technologies that are available that I can get and upgrade on my own, which I highly appreciated.

This is one of the good guys who are reliable and robust as you could hope for. He might not be the low bidder, but I don't care, he does it right, and won't do something if he doesn't think he can do it correctly and safely.

Plus: he carefully cleans up after himself, protects your floor and counters while he works. I am perfectly confident in having him do any work that he accepts to do, with me being gone and paying before I see the finished work.

We moved into a home and the electrical was just wonky (an outlet but no electricity in the island, one switch in the master bedroom can shut off power to 3/4 bedrooms, etc.) He had great knowledge, was professional/prompt and offered fair pricing. He even took the time to explain quite a few things to me and didn't seem to be bothered by my 3 dogs or screaming toddler in the least.

A contractor who was doing non-electrical work brought in Becker Electric  to do a simple disconnect an outlet and put in a new one.  Why this took 2 trips (Bob claimed 3 trips) and 2 trip charges is still beyond me.

For the first trip, since I already paid the trip charge, I had Bob Becker check my ceiling fan in a house built in the mid 1990s.  

He could not figure out the wiring and stated Well I can't figure out how this thing is connected.  It must have been something special after the house was built!.

That was not what I expected someone to say - basically I don't know (at least he was honest).  I expected someone to rip it apart and figure it out.

I then asked about the hum of the fluorescent lights in the same room and then I guess that was something he was comfortable with because he then describes how he could fix up this room (minus the fan, of course).

A week later, I called Bob to get a quote and a few days later received a reasonable quote compared to feeling getting ripped off for my previous work.

It seems like this is someone who knows how to do handy-man electrical issues.

I will always call Bob Becker if I need any electrical work.  He installed 4 GFCI outlets for me.  He discovered there was no ground for two of them which apparently was the result of a previous contractor's mistake.  Bob had to trace the wires to find a good ground wire.  He searched for around 2 hours, going in the attic, tracing other routes and finally found what he needed.  He felt bad that the other contractor didn't do right by me and he felt bad that it took him so long to resolve the issue.  He ended up charging below his normal rate.  He could have given up but he knew it was important since I was selling the house and it was one of the inspection items that I was charged with completing.  Plus he is very courteous, professional and does quality work.

We got a fast response to our needs, a good price and no charge to come out and take a look.  Excellent experience.

Highly recommend Becker Electric. Final invoice was the same as the estimate. I received two quotes and this one was less expensive. The work was done properly and in a timely manner.

Lost power in one section of the house after plugging a laptop into an outlet in the master bedroom.  After some testing, Bob quickly diagnosed the root cause - a wiring issue inside a control box (on the other side of the room) for a ceiling fan and light.  Bob rewired to correct the problem and power was restored.  Excellent electrician - and a great person!  Thanks again Bob!!!

Bob Becker is a master electrician.  He is a true professional that knows all of the codes and will keep your family safe. He installed four canned lights in a bedroom that didn't have any lighting.  He installed two ceiling fans.  He got our outdoor lights working again.  He added an electrical outlet in a closet.  Plus he fixed some electrical issues that someone else had done incorrectly.  Bob always responded right away and he was punctual.  He's also a really nice guy.  He even brought over a bag of organic lemons from his yard! I would highly recommend Bob.

I've used Becker Electric several times over the past nine years. I have never been disappointed as I have been with many, many contractors over many residential remodels and move-ins, both personal and investment.
