HISTORY
Swenson Electric was founded in 1979 by Guy Swenson. Working with his brother Casey, Guy has grown the business to serve customer across the Valley of the Sun. The business is licensed, bonded and insured, and has completed thousands of large and small scale projects for both residential and commercial customers in its nearly forty year history.

Guy Swenson founded Swenson Electric in 1979. A licensed contractor, he has grown and maintained the service-oriented electrical contracting business serving the Valley and greater Arizona for nearly 40 years. The company maintains an A rating on Angie's List and has never had a complaint filed with the Better Business Bureau. When not delivering excellent and timely customer service, Guy enjoys the outdoors, hunting, fishing and maintaining his six-acre ranch in Tonto Basin, Arizona.

We have had Swenson do three relatively small jobs for us. These include: a whole house electrical inspection with recommendations for improvements, new circuit installation with various kinds of outlets, (GFCI's, weatherproof, standard, etc) a whole-house surge protector, and the installation of outdoor lights which included running power to the location through cement block walls, plaster & lathe.
I don't know what the next electrical task will be, but I know I'm going to call Swenson first. They work quickly, neatly & professionally. Casey & David have done the installations, and it would be hard to overstate my satisfaction with their work. Guy has been my first contact each time, and his estimates have always been reasonable, and within a very tight margin of the actual bill.
This is a family owned business that has been around for a couple of generations, and their experience is evident in everything they do.
Beware! Company bills you $125 fee for estimate but does not tell you when you make the appointment there is such fee. And he can't even do the work needed.
I have remodeled my home for 7 years and never had anyone charge a fee for an estimate.
I first called Guy on January 2nd to coordinate the replacement of my electric panel. He stated he would call the city to get a date so they could turn the power off for the replacement. We had a verbal agreement over the price and operations necessary to complete the job. It's been two weeks, no communication and I was just told that he's too busy to take on the work. Why not tell your customers earlier? Why is there a complete lack of communication? I now wasted 2 weeks time, my AC units are out and I need to find someone else. Guys reasoning is that he never said he would do the job, Really? What about the agreement on pricing and dates? I have attached screenshots of our conversations for record. If you need someone to rely on I would recommend looking elsewhere
Had a major fiasco with a so called handy man who tried to change out my thermostats and ended up causing issues with my breaker box that he couldn't figure out - He left me with no AC and as I was leaving the next day for an extended trip I was in a panic. I called Swenson Electric, explained the circumstances and he asked me to send a picture of my breaker box. He was at my home within an hour with the replacement part already installed by the time I made it there. He didn't over charge or try to upsell in any way; he told me I had a old, but great system that should last as long as the house. I now have my go to electrician. Cannot thank you enough!
We had 2 Nest cameras installed and Casey's professionalism and expertise were outstanding. I highly recommend this company to anyone needing home electrical work!!! Swenson Electrical is as good as it gets.
Great place this guy's awesome I called him he picked up right away I had to get some work done at my house he came by and gave me reasonable prices I would highly recommend this guy great service knowledgeable really knows what he's doing had to part with him fixed it the same day and didn't overcharge me like big companies do I would highly recommend you guys if you have any problems with your electricity to give them a call
I called Guy and he came over that day. He replaced my GFCI outlet and fixed my electrical box issue. Knowledgeable and easy to work with. One star off for not taking credit cards, otherwise highly recommended.
Guy was referred to me by a friend who was pleased with his work. His team includes his brother Casey. They were very easy to work with and did a great job, all for a fair price! Highly recommended!

Guy came out for 20 minutes to turn on a breaker switch and fix a break in the wire on one landscaping light. He didn't have the part for the landscape light and told me he'd come back. He claimed he lives a mile from my North Scottsdale home. I mentioned that he left the breaker box open and he said he'd close it when he finished. Unfortunately he left without closing it so I had to figure out how to do it. A few days later he called, saying he wanted another $125 for a second service call for the missing part. I refused. Time for a new electrician!
I've used this company for both emergency and maintenance calls. They have been incredibly professional, responsive and fair. I typically have the same guys come out to the house as well...so they already know the home and electrical set up..which saves both time and money. The electricians themselves know what they are doing and appear to be invested in the well being of the company. A very well run business from a customer standpoint.
Casey and Dave have worked on bringing my older home's electrical setup up to today's standards. They have been professional,personable and competent in their services with me. I would not hesitate to recommend them to any and all that need home electrical services. They will remain my go to source for all future electrical needs.
Guy came right over and fixed my electrical panel with new breakers rerouting to get it done as it is very old. explained everything as he worked. great service.

Searched long and hard to find a trusted Electrician for in home work. Took a chance with Swenson Electric. They were right on-time and quickly got to work. Work was done exactly what we had in mind. They did a thorough clean up and the cost was well worth the work they did. Guy and Casey are friendly and respectful. My wife is happy! Happy Wife-happy Life! Thank you Guy and Casey and I will be scheduling more work very soon so I can get back to fishing.
If you need electrical work - these are the guys to call first. We had them do new electrical outlets, ceiling fans, outside lights, and install a connection for a new air conditioning/heating unit for our sunroom. They are professional, on time, do the job right and work efficiently. Thanks to Casey, Guy, and their associates for a job well done. I won't call anyone else if I need more electrical done.
