Arcadia Roofing

We were to referred to Arcadia Roofing by our GC who had recently remodeled our vacation home in Desert Ridge.   Considering they were hammered with calls from the rain that affected us, Reed and Tommy were extremely responsive and we ultimately selected them to do a do a complete re-roofing.

They completed the project as scheduled and it was nice that there no surprises or upcharges along the way!  
I also complimented their office that their field employees doing the work were nice, courteous and professional.  They even went as far a dragging a large magnet along the house exterior to pickup any fallen nails. Their guys ran out of spray paint just minutes before completing the job entirely and they insisted they would come back the next day to do 3 minutes of spray painting.  This was nice because I honestly probably wouldn't have noticed it if they hadn't told me.
I recommend Arcadia Roofing without hesitation.

After the storms this week, we noticed that our roof had been damaged.  We asked around to family and friends to see if they had any recommendations and Arcadia Roofing was recommended to us. My husband gave Reed a call and he was friendly and flexible in fitting us into his schedule. We appreciate how promptly Reed fixed our roof and will definitely be using him for any roofing needs in the future!

Do NOT use this company for tile roofing. We used them 3 years ago for a shingle roof and they did an excellent, quick and efficient job. We recently moved and unfortunately had to replace the paper under the tile on our new house that has tile roof as our roof was leaking into the house. I signed the proposal in July. They said they would put me on the schedule. I called couple weeks to see when they were coming. They gave me a Sept date and then never showed. I called again, got hung up on. Finally left a message asking them to just shoot straight and tell me if they were coming or not. As we had had a great experience with them prior I was more forgiving and patient than I probably should have been. And if we had not had the previous experience with them I would have just moved on after the multiple calls and no show appointments.

So come October 17, almost 3 months after they said they would put us on the schedule some guy just shows up and says where do you want the dumpster, we are coming tomorrow. They do the job and put back the tiles all wrong, they are crooked, broken and SO sloppy. Some of them are flush with the roof and others stick off multiple inches and these are in the same row. They didn't even line them up or nail them back the way they are supposed to go. They put the flashing on wrong and I had to call to tell them. Then they leaned the tile against the house and cemented to the wall in order to put it above the flashing. There so many large gaps, that animals and birds could get in because they did not set the tiles correctly. It is SO frustrating and I'm about to call the ROC. I have the photos from our listing (before we moved) with nice looking, straight, correctly laid tile and now the hideous messed up tile we have now.

In addition, they asked what color I wanted the guard and we chose brown. Then they did the animal guard in black!! And tried to tell me it only comes in black as I'm standing looking at our neighbors nicely matched animal and metal guard. So now we have red tile, black animal guard, brown metal guard and beige trim. It looks absolutely atrocious everywhere I can see. And I can only imagine the horrid job they did on top where I can't. I have looked at every tile roof in my usual 10 mile travel radius and I have not seen one roof with tiles as messed up as our new roof.

I have called multiple times to explain what is wrong. They send someone out to fix it, they don't knock or anything, and they make it even worse.

So, if you have a tile roof look elsewhere!!

I'm just done. Calling the ROC on Monday as I've already gone above and beyond with patience with this co on so many levels. Save yourself the headache.

They were responsive, flexible, reliable and did an incredible job for us.  Showed up for a bid, priced fairly, communicated clearly, and did an impeccable job on a full roof replacement for us.  Highly recommend.

Arcadia Roofing stands behind their products and warranty. I had some issues with faulty shingles and they worked with the manufacturer to get me a new roof and installed it under my warranty. They prioritize customer satisfaction and if something isn't done to your satisfaction they are willing to make it right. I feel fortunate I found them. They were recommended by a StateFarm agent.

They did a great job replacing the flat roof on the addition of my home. They were by far the best quote, they showed up early, and they even stayed an extra day because one of the guys wanted to fix a few things he felt didn't look absolutely perfect. In fact, they squeezed us into their busy schedule so we could meet our deadline to sell our home. Very accommodating.

We received several bids and Arcadia Roofing was the most affordable.   We decided to go with them because a friend recommended them, and I'm glad we did!
They showed up when they said they would.  They worked hard and cleaned up after themselves every time they left our house.  All of the interactions I had with at Arcadia Roofing were positive.
They finished the job quickly and it looks great!  I am so happy we used Arcadia Roofing.

Avoid this company at all costs.

1. Do me a favor and call their phone number (602) 840-7663.  I bet you a nickel they will not answer. The first sign of poor customer service. Business principal #1, answer the phone for your customers.
2. Arcadia roofing owner Tommy is the typical contractor that over promises and under delivers. Don't let their competitive (low price) bid sway you. The provide very poor quality roofing and hire under skilled roofers. The saying, You get what you pay for is absolutely true for this company . They cut their costs on poor materials and workmanship.
3. Arcadia roofing replaced a roof on my residence less then 6 months ago and after the 1st monsoon, there was significant leakage.
4. I called to have them send somebody out to assess the leakage.....No response, no return call,  nothing . Based upon my experience, they are a turn and burn company . They take your money and on to the next.

I plan on filing a complaint with the AZ ROC and hope to get some resolution. Shoot, if I get real motivated, I may have my counsel draw up something in Court.

Companies like these should think otherwise  or move out of the state. AZ does not need more bad businesses.

****P.S. Their so called 5 year (workmanship warranty). Think of it more like...1 year. The house I was raised in had the same roof for over 30 years. I can guarantee (wait that sounds like the sales pitch they gave me) the roofs they install would never even come close to true craftsmanship of 30 years.

Arcadia Roofing is a fair and reliable company that does fantastic work! When it came time to replace the entire roof at the school I work at, I called and got 7 estimates from accredited companies around the valley. It was going to be a tough job due to the current old clay tile that existed, the layout of the buildings and limited access due to school being in session. Arcadia was not the cheapest, but I chose them because they were a fair price, their people were punctual, friendly, and knowledgeable - and I trusted that they would do a great job. And, they did just that! They worked hard over the summer to get our school roof finished, and did it all on a tight schedule only working nights and weekends to keep the safety of our summer school students as a top priority. Not many companies would be willing to work with such a complex schedule - but Arcadia went above and beyond to take care of. Now - we use them for all of our roofing needs here at Villa Montessori School (on Campbell and 28th Street-- drive by and see how beautiful the roof is!). And - IT GETS BETTER! Now I also use them as a homeowner - and they are just as quick and responsive as they are for my work. They do a quality job and go above and beyond to do the work right. Just last week they came out to repair some shingles that blew off in the storm, and while up there - the roofer fixed a pipe that needed a little TLC, and he painted it, too!! THANK YOU ARCADIA ROOFING!!

I have worked with several roofers in the Valley and these guys by far have been the best. Their pricing is fair and consistent and they do a beautiful job. I found them to be very communicative and always felt like I knew what was going on. I would definitely recommend giving these guys a call if you need a new roof, they will treat you right!

Do not use these guys. Roof is less than 5 years old and has had nothing but issues. Contacted them to come fix the work they did and got nothing but excuses till we got tired of contacting them. Terrible customer service and even worse warranty.

I contacted Arcadia roofing mid-July as I had a leak in my less than 2 year old roof. After they looked at it, they told me that the leak was due to the way the air conditioner was installed but that they would fix it. Three months later after many phone calls to follow-up with them, they mentioned that they would not fix it and would instead charge me to fix it. I then called the air conditioning company that installed my AC, after they reviewed it, the photos show that the leak is no where new the AC and that it is coming from the roof. It's now been 4 months since I initially called Arcadia roofing and cannot get a response.

It was time to get a new roof and I received a lot of bids from various roofing contractors. In the end I picked Arcadia Roofing and am very happy with the results. First of all, they promptly responded to the bid request, a lot quicker than the other companies. Communication with this company was outstanding. The owner, Tom Leale, always responded to my email and phone calls in a very quick and professional fashion.

Plus, of all the bids I received, Arcadia Roofing was the only one who noticed that I had the wrong stand on my roof for the air conditioner unit. Of all the other bids that were received they were the only ones to notice this flaw.

This job was not an easy one. They had to remove old Spanish tiles plus the old layers of composite roofing that sat underneath. Plus, they had to work around a lot of the other contractors around the home. They showed up as scheduled and wrapped up as scheduled. The crew was neat and courteous and really did a top-knot job. In my book, Arcadia Roofing is a splendid, well run, organization.

Don't believe all the negative press from people who haven't even used them.  I have used them, they are amazing, best price, and honestly good people.  Every time I called or emailed, the phones were either answered and called back within minutes.  The emails were always answered within an hour, which is far greater than anyone else I had ever met with.  Most of my neighborhood has used them for their houses, and the ones that didn't use them, they had to come and repair because the first company they went with couldn't fix it.

Long story short, I wouldn't recommend anyone else.  Amazing job, fast, on time, and honestly great people they have working for them.  Couldn't recommend anyone else more.

Wow, is this place for real?  If I could give a negative rating, I surely would.  Unfortunately, the worst rating I can give is 1 star.

Let me back up a bit...A year ago, I had to replace my roof over a workshop (which is separate from the main house).  Like most people, I called a few roofing companies to get estimates.  One of the companies I called was Arcadia Roofing.  -  At that time, I didn't decide to go with them, although I thought the guy who came out was very courteous and professional...however, I went with the cheapest quote.

Fast forward to last week - I found a leak in one of the bedrooms in my home.  Like last year, I called a couple places to get quotes.  Again, one of the places I called was Arcadia Roofing.  Gary came out to my house on Wednesday (7/27), was extremely nice, and quoted me a fair price.  I figured this was the company to go with, and Gary said someone would be calling me within the week to schedule to fix it.

By Friday afternoon, I had not received a call, so with the forecast for thunderstorms looming over the weekend, I left Gary a voicemail on his cell, reminding him I wanted to schedule an appointment.  We did get some rain on Sunday, so on Monday, I called the company direct and left a message.  Again, no callback...I gave them the benefit of the doubt, and thought maybe they're super busy with the recent rainfall we'd had.

This morning (Thursday, 8/4), I again called Gary's cell.  This time he answered.  Immediately upon telling him my name, he became short and was quite rude with me.  He said they couldn't fix my roof for the initial quote he'd given.  When I asked the revised quote, he told me he'd spoken with Tommy, and Tommy said they'd been out to my house before, and didn't want to waste their time.  I told him I was contacting them to schedule, and that I was going to use their company to fix my roof...that I didn't understand why no one had just simply called me to say they needed to revise the quote.  -  Gary said he'd tell Tommy, and Tommy would get back with me with a new quote.

After I hung up the phone, I thought to myself, why am I defending myself to this guy?  Since when is it a crime to get multiple quotes for a job?  And, what kind of company, after 1 visit out to give an estimate, says that customer is a waste of time?

Arcadia Roofing, you suck...grow up.

I had an excellent experience with Arcadia. I got bids from 3 contractors, and although the prices were similar, I found the people at Arcadia particularly easy to deal with. Whether by phone or email, they were responsive. They were also accomodating to changes/additions to the contract, priced various options for me, and even let me speak with their material supplier regarding very arcane questions about cedar shakes.

Both their demo crew and installation crew were competent. The installation crew in particular were knowledgeable, answered questions and concerns, keep the job site clean, and, in the end, did a superb installation.

Arcadia has a lot of experience with cedar installations, and it shows. We've got the best roof in the area now.

Contacted several roofers and chose Arcadia because their bid was competitive and I was impressed with the professionalism and knowledge of both Reed and Tommy. They coordinated well with our skylight installers as well as our solar panel removers. The crew of Gary, Steve, Tom, Jesus and Daniel showed up on time and worked long hard days. Jesus and Daniel even worked a half day on Thanksgiving day to complete one phase of the install. Every person named above was professional, knowledgeable, conciencious and very pleasant to work with and speak to. Can not say enough good things.

Took 3 weeks to get a response. I had to email the owner. Then they gave an estimate without bring a ladder. Needless to say I hired a more responsible company

I had a great experience with Arcadia Roofing!  Not only are they professional and on-time, but the owner answered all of our questions and was great to work with.  I definitely recommend them to anyone needing a new roof or repairs in Arcadia!

I had a total roof replacement and had several bids.   Arcadia offered the best value for the price.  Tommy was ( and is) great in being responsive to questions or concerns.  The crew was excellent at keeping the site clean and minimizing any disruptions.  The end product looks great!

Two years ago I needed a new roof. I recieved several qoutes. Arcadia Roofing was the best value. They removed my old roof, gave me a day to make some needed repairs in the wood, and were done in just a few days. I appreciated how they worked around my schedule. The job was neat and professional.

I can't comment on their work because I can't get them to return a phone call.  I have left at least 6 messages over three weeks.  I had a neighbor who was very pleased with their work, but I'll find another company because if this is how they treat a prospective customer, I can only imagine what they will do (or rather, won't do) if something goes wrong.  After I read the other comments, this seems to be norm rather than the exception.

Best in class service! Amazing team and my new roof makes my house look brand new! The team worked quickly, diligently, were incredibly friendly and efficient- finished a day early! Would HIGHLY recommend again and again!

This company is fantastic!  We purchased a remodel, which has been a disaster, our skylight was leaking in the guest bath.  The GC argued it was the roofing company's fault, in all reality I am not really sure it was.  BUT regardless- they came out and swapped it out and stood behind their work.  I am forever grateful for them!  They did a great job replacing the old roof- as the new roof looks great.  I highly recommend this local small business!

Warranty?  What warranty? Did a $140000 roof job and referred them to a second job valued at $9k.  3 years later I have a leak and can't get hold of anyone or get someone out here and it's been 3 months. I paid a different roofer to fix the issue and all Tommy could say was I apologize. Very evasive and unprofessional.

I am thankful that I found Arcadia Roofing this summer to put on a new roof on my home. These gentlemen led me through the complicated roofing process with honesty and ease and completed the job to my upmost satisfaction.
It all began this June of 2013, when I noticed I had some shingle problems with lots of holes in different spots. It looked uneven and my neighbor told me he also had hail and wind damage. I called my local insurance agent who came out and told me my homeowners insurance would pay for a new roof, but I had to find someone to do it. The insurance left me the estimate of what they were willing to pay. I went online and got 10random numbers of roofers. I went down the list and told each company that I had been approved for this amount of money and I wanted someone to come over and inspect it and do the work. Everyone of the nine companies either didn't answer, put me on hold, told me to call back or set an appointment for a week or two. I couldn't believe they were not eager for my business. This was a guaranteed paid job. What were they thinking? They didn't even seem interested at all.
Frustrated, I tried one more company named Arcadia. They answered the first time and told me they would be over in an hour. I crossed my fingers. They arrived and inspected my roof. Tommy spent a long time with me explaining everything they were going to do. I'm a high school English teacher, not skilled in any way about roofs. They immediately agreed to the insurance companies estimate. They brought out a guy with a contract in a few hours for me to sign and Scott dealt with my insurance company. They started tearing off my roof immediately. Scott walked me through the complicated color and style choice and actually recommended a color based on my house color and what I told him I wanted. They spent hours with me because I knew nothing. I had never had a roof put on in my life. I paid half down when the insurance check arrived. I asked Tommy if he would met me at my bank, because I didn't want to drive around with a lot of money. They agreed to all my crazy requests. They were patient and kind thoughout the ordeal. I was nervous but they were reassuring. The roof was done in a week and it looks awesome. I am so glad that experience is behind me and that I found them by chance. If you want a skilled expert you can trust , then Arcadia Roofing is the company you've been looking for. I'm a high school teacher and if I had to grade them, I would give them an A+

Arcadia Roofing just finished a new roof on our home.  Their quote was comparable and Gary, the person that came to give us the estimate, was very nice and professional.  Tommy Leale (owner) was great to work with and was prompt at responding to all of our requests.  The roof looks beautiful and even the neighbors have said how nice it looks and what a nice job!  

Now when this roof was started on Monday 8/20/12, we had impending rain within a day or two.  Well, we did get the rain but everything went fine and there were no problems.  The workmen were there every day on time and accomplished all of our requests.  Since then, we have had lots of rain and so far so good.....no leaks!  I am impressed with how well Tommy Leale worked with us and how fast he responded to me.  I did find that emailing him was so much faster than waiting for a call back and I am finding out this is the new normal when it comes to this kind of contracting.  We have had this same experience with other types of contractors and they do respond much faster thru email or texting.  They are so busy this time of year so emailing probably gets right to their cell phones and they are able to respond much easier and faster!

I was reading the review here with the one star. I didn't think that review was fair at all!  I didn't blame Arcadia for not wanting to do the work.  The original work was done by another contractor the year prior for a lower price so why didn't this guy call the original contractor to warrantee the work?  Sounds like this guy got ripped off in the first place.  You know that ol saying, You get what you pay for!.  No, I don't blame Arcadia at all.  I didin't think it was fair to just give him one star when he didn't even do the work.  

I feel this company is a good company and we liked the way they do business!  I will not hesitate to call them if I need them in the future!

We just had our roof replaced by Arcadia Roofing and are VERY happy. We had a new roof 2 years ago, but we needed a new one after last year's storms. Tommy assured me he has used the same crews forever and did not hire storm chasers to increase his business. We had the same crew each day- 3 days of work- and they were awesome!

They cleaned up nicely and we have only found 2 staples in the yard. We had multiple roofing companies out to bid on our roof, and Arcadia was the best price. This great price was met with equally great work done.

I would highly recommend Arcadia Roofing!

A friend recommended Arcadia after using them over twelve other estimates. My roof is very old and I wanted to replace it.  I was prepared to buy a new roof. The estimator said I had two or three years before I had to worry about it. He talked me out of it.  Then he mentioned that I should spray paint the black tar around the pipes so the sun will reflect and not dry out the tar. I asked him if he knew anyone that would do,it and he said he would just stop by when in the area and do it no charge.  

I tried to,give him $40.00 for his honesty and for painting. He absolutely refused the money and told me to give it to my church or Basha's for thanksgiving turkeys...

I will definitely use them when ready for a roof..   Jim

For any of your roofing needs, these are the guys, there work is so well done, they leave everything as clean as when they started, I just love the work they did on my mom's house, great folks to work with, you will love them.

I had a great experience with Arcadia Roofing. This is my first home and it was the first major project I had done. I was very nervous and honestly pretty naive to the whole process but they walked me through everything and were very patient with me :-) Arcadia Roofing was timely and very thorough. They did a great job on the roof and left everything in mint condition. I would recommend them to any of my friends!

One of the worst companies I've used in AZ. They never answer their phones to start so get used to very poor communication. I purchased a home that recently had a roof done from Arcadia Roofing. The warranty transferred with the sale.  I noticed a small leak in one of my rooms and had some roofing companies come out - Arcadia Roofing was not one of those companies because as previously stated, they never answer their phones (I tried calling them four different times but not once got a person. Always had to leave a voicemail). Anyway, each roofing company that came out said that Arcadia Roofing did a horrible job - and many areas were not even to code. I actually googled some of the comments because I wondered how Arcadia Roofing could be that bad - but they indeed are. The repairs to fix Arcadia's Roofings, under warranty, roof - $2,800. This company doesn't stand by their work and have no idea what they're doing. Even if they had said We'll put a new roof on for free I don't think I would take them up on that offer....
