Rapid Rooter was prompt, on time and helpful. The 4 stars come from some damage to our home that happened on their first visit, and not completely resolving the clog/back up they came out for.

However, with a phone call, they scheduled another lead tech to come out and check the damage, as well as redo the rootering.

Even though the damage was minor, it was their fault, and they fully acknowledged that, apologized, and offered to help fix it. I was very grateful they were honest and didn't fight me on the situation. The tech took his time rootering the second time, and tried some more intense measures to make sure our back up was resolved.

I recommend this company, but just be aware of your stuff and check for damage.

Writing this positive review of Rapid Rooter to call out the professional and knowledgeable plumber that addressed our issue and the company that stands behind its work. Daniel needed to do a lot of trouble shooting to fix a clogged toilet and drain in the older home. Project was particularly complicated because outside clean-outs were actually connected to the gutters. We appreciate that Rapid Rooter stands behind their work and Daniel was able to get to the root (unintentional pun) of the problem. He also gave us tips to avoid clogging the pipes in the future and a referral so that we can address the lack of access our plumbing to an outdoor clean-out. We'd also like to call out the customer care/front end of the company. From the start, I was given clear and precise information and treated with care. Like I told Daniel, I hope I don't need to see you again... But if we need plumbing care, we'll be in touch.

Dan from Rapid Rooter showed up precisely on time at the beginning of the time window, which was two hours.  He cleared our drains, both the sink and the washing machine stand pipe, in half an hour, including clean up which he did very well.  I'm pleased with their service and will use them again, if it proves necessary.

It's always stressful, calling in an unknown company to  do a job. No need to stress about calling Rapid Rooter! Dan came in, diagnosed the problem right away, and had the issue fixed within 10 minutes. The area was clean when he finished. He was honest to the 9th degree, charging only the base fee because he was here such a short time and the problem did not require any major work. If we have any more plumbing issues, we'll be calling Rapid Rooter, and will ask for Dan!

They stopped doing long-drain snaking (over 100 ft) and didn't tell me (my clog is always around 130ft).  So I've paid for them to service my lines and have to go find an entirely different company to do it.  No refund.  They're perfectly nice and competent, I'd just recommend being on the ball and asking -many- questions about what service they're actually providing.

I do not recommend using them unless you have a very simple plumbing issue or if you have no knowledge of plumbing and sewer lines. They will not try to swindle you and are capable of doing jobs they believe they are capable of doing. That is not my issue  with tjrm... In end (as stated in other reviews) depending on how they feel, they may pass on helping you  especially if your are knowledgeable about sewer lines (like my husband).  ***Also, I would not recommend this company as a minority friendly business.

Wow! We have used these guys on and off for years. They are usually our only alternative. Regardless if we've had good luck or bad luck with our experience and service, when you get a nice guy in between, it sure makes up for any bad service. Before we were married, after we married. In our old house, new house we've had to rely on them. We have an old, beautiful house that we constantly need to maintenance, on top of our tricky old sewer layout and our 22,000 gallon pool. Christine. She will schedule your appointments, sounds very kind & relies soley on your account notes. We had an issue in Dec 2017, RR looked at it &advised us what to do. We had another company to redo our mainline, jetted it due to collapse from roots. RR doesn't offer this service. Everything was fixed. Everyone did their job &we were happy.
That was this past spring. .....Last week our bthrm flooded. Not sure why so  we called RR. Christine 1st argued that RR couldn't help us due to our account notes put on in Dec. She was very alarmed &hypersensitive about it. I honestly appreciated her concern but informed her since then per RR's advice, we got the line fixed. She told me that they don't do that does of stuff (duh),asked when did we get it fixed & a bunch of other Q's. This quickly turned into an exhausting conversation. She explain that she couldn't help us (oh no, is she going to pass ?  R U listening Christi? )  I kindly Interrupt & asked if I could speak to anyone else. She said that TROY was there, a manager or expert plumber. I explained, he listened and got it. No fuss or drama & was professional over the phone (this time), said we'll be out on Monday.

TODAY is Monday.  Usually my husband writes down all the verbiage and sewer history for me to relay but he did not this time.  I am social, friendly and do allot of  networking. I geeted Troy, apologised for the wait. Shook his hand &introduced myself. I am a minority & currently home alone female so im going to be nice when strangers enter my home. We even had our not friendly dog placed at a neighbors so that when people come to work on our house, they feel comfortable. I greeted him at 8:27am.

Unfortunately, our RR visitor did not seem to return any friendly sentiments. No smile, nothing. I was uncomfortable but hey, we need help.  During his 10 minute visit he decided it was a main line issue. I shared that I believe we already had the main line redone, jetted and fixed. He said our line was too long & they'd have to remove the toilet but didn't have long enough equipment. That makes sense but I told him I'm going to try & reach my husband because I feel this RR rep's recommendation might not be necessary. The RR rep did give me a referral as to who to call for this big job and I thanked him...Tried calling my hubby during RR's visit- but he didn't answer. Later Hubby said that we just need bathrm - kitchen line looked at - not the bathrm to main line.

9:00am I called Christine & explained  that I'd like for RR to come back if possible. She said she'd contact him but that he was on another job in just 20mins within leaving my house ? At 10:01am the RR rep who I met this morning calls back.

I wasn't rude on the phone & hoped to just display a sense of urgency. I kindly told him what my husband said so if he could just please trouble shoot that first & if that doesn't work we can contact his referral.RR rep said fine but that he couldn't do it today. I quickly responded, Should I contact Christine to see what your availability is the?   And then to that response he goes, You know what, we're going to pass.  I replied, Let me get this straight. You believe the problem is with the main line, even though we are asking for you to please look at the bathrm - kitchen line (small,  job) for our piece if mind, you no longer want our business? He says, Yes. I told him that I was disappointed he's not taking our business  but I'll be sure to share my thoughts in my online review. I thanked him and hung up.

In conclusion, RR seems to being well enough to not take our money. If you're an intelligent individual with even the smallest knowledge of your own sewage system and plumbing (because you've been through shit with your house) they may take it the wrong way, ego wise, especially if you are a don't-take-shit-from-no one- female who just wants good service from decent, respectable people!
I am so tired if this.

Fast service, got the job done, reasonable price. $150~ for the first hour.

Only reason I don't give them a 5 star review is the guy who came up didn't gave good customer service. Ever heard of smiling, having rapport with customer, and putting a cover on shoes before entering the house? Especially if you are walking on carpet.

Fix those things and it'll be a 5

Dan arrived on time, did the job quickly and left things clean and tidy. He also correctly identified our blockage culprit as an Ankylosaurus. Price was good.

I was recommended this business by another plumber who was unable to see to my bathroom in the time frame I required.  The woman taking my call at Rapid Rooter was rude and said she was going to pass on my project. (I was pretty sure the problem was just some hair down the drain that my snake wasn't reaching). There was a question about the need to access other condo units in my building, and when I told her that I didn't know that I had that authority, she quickly went from polite to rude trying to explain how plumbing works in older buildings.  I'm calling for a plumber...I'm not familiar with plumbing, but don't patronize me!

I went with another plumber recommended by my management company, and it turned out to be a very easy and quick fix. I guess Rapid Rooter didn't want any future business from myself or other members of my young, professional condo community!

I wish I could give 0 stars.

Do not recommend this company. They left 40 feet of their snake in our drain, causing damage of $2000+ and they would not come back to take their snake out. They do not take responsibility for destroying your pipe and creating more problems and causing the water to overflow when it started as a slow drain. Harold, who said he was part owner, hung up on me when I called him to correct the issue.

Very happy with the service we received.  I called for a main line/ sewer snake for a slow drain and they came out the next morning first thing.  He fixed it in less than an hour and charged the one hour minimum rate.  He was kind, courteous, and tidy.  I'd definitely recommend them for a drain cleaning service.

The man from Rapid Rooter was nice but I did not like how he wanted to protect my carpeted steps with damp towels (damp from a previous jobs' sewage???) and did not have a bucket for the tree roots that he got out of my pipes.  I will look elsewhere the next time I need roots removed.

What you should really care about: Don't use these guys if you have anything around the cleanout you don't want dung flung at.

The Story: A massive laurel grows over my sewer line, so I am in frequent need of root cleaning at little warning :-(. I normally use Fritz Drain Services, who I can't recommend enough, but Frits doesn't work weekends and roots grow 7 days a week.

The first time I used RR Queen Anne Dave splattered dung all over the carpet area around the cleanout. He's a nice guy, and well intentioned, but his joke on who flung the dung didn't really make it better.

The second time I tried using them I also scheduled a video scope after the planned cleaning. Again, I used them due to the weekend timeline and was scrambling to make it home from the holiday weekend in time; I was 10min late for which I was scolded. The guy basically said that he couldn't do the root cleaning b/c he didn't have equipment that will not dirty my basement. It didn't matter that these guys were in my house already and should have known better, nor that even with the closed line equipment they still fling dung. It was too late to cancel the video scope by that time, which of course couldn't have been completed due to the remaining clog. Money (not) down the drain. I wasn't charged by RR for that.

To add insult to injury, when I called to provide this feedback I was lectured by the lady on the phone that rarely do they have jobs in finished basements and that I was late and luck not to have been charged (for a job they didn't complete). I don't like this business, not going to recommend it to anyone and not going to use it again. I am not giving them 1 star b/c they did clean my line once and b/c they operate in weekends.

Troy came and worked really hard on short notice. 3 clogged drains in a 1917 home with very old pipes. He was quick, professional, clean and I was confident in the work done. This is a family owned business and you could tell with the quality of work and level of professionalism. I hope not to see them anytime soon, but will save their number for the future.

We called on a Sunday afternoon and they were out the next morning.  Dave did a great job, was clean and courteous and was very funny.  I too was done in about half an hour and was quite pleased with the bill, as they could've charged me anything they wanted.

I highly recommend Rapid Rooter.

Every 5 years or so there is water on the basement floor from a backup. I called Rapid Rooter after checking prices on several websites. They were straight forward with their pricing (lots of places have stupid additional costs). They came and all worked well until 3 days past. There was water again. They came back quickly and determined the cause was not from a bad cleaning but from a leaky valve which was not their fault. They still came back quickly and made it right with no charge. Things go wrong sometimes and the real test of a good company is how they respond. Rapid Rooter was as good as they could be on this occasion!

This plumbing service attitude is really bad.

1) made an easy job harder and charged an extra hour.
2) rude customer service attitude

Better to choose a different better one for plumbing service.

Soooo glad for rapid rooter. Our sink got clogged and I spent hours after renting a sewer snake trying to clear it out. Somehow the blockage was beyond that 25' reach of the snake I rented...anyway, super frustrating. Seems the blockage only got worse...like the snake I rented just put pressure on the stuff and compacted it or something. After trying disgusting awful draino a couple times, also I gave up and called my plumber, who referred me to Rapid Rooter. Dave came out the next morning and took care of it in less than an hour. Total cost under $150 and I wish to the Goddess I would have just called them first before pretending that I knew what the hell I was doing and wasting my precious life energy slopping gross stinky drain sludge all over my hands and forearms with that ungodly awkward hand-held stupid sewer snake that I rented for $40.

Like everyone else, you usually need this service only in an emergency.  Our side sewer blockage backed up into our home causing a mess.  Rapid Rooter was able to get here within 24 hours.  Dan was very efficient and the blockage was removed reasonably quick. Dan provided great service and explained in detail what/why/how his did his repair.  I would highly recommend that you have extra old towels and/or tarps available, beyond that RR provides to protect surfaces, as the electric snake machine is very messy.

I had a side sewer backup from thirsty tree roots, so called Rapid Rooter at 9 am and got an appointment for 2 pm and by 3 pm Dan was finished for $173 including tax. He was punctual, skilled and helpful at a fair price ($158/hour).  No upsell like from those companies that advertize low-ball specials.

We have the typical Seattle sewer issues and the typical old house to go with them. Chuck came out promptly, did a rockin job, explained the situation clearly and gave us real, concrete advice about how to proceed.

The rockin part was: this was not a sell job for more work from them.  No snow job here. Real practical, diy advice. This is the guy. Used to work for Alligator.

No credit cards, check or cash.

My main sewer line was backed up, so I knew I was likely dealing with something blocking the way.  On the positive side, they were fast and very friendly.  But the reality was, it was a waste of $300 because they didn't fix the issue.  I am sure that it wasn't the technicians fault, he simply didn't have the tools to solve the problem.  He recommended I call Jim Dandy to have their Jetter come out and solve the issue (basically a high pressure washer).  Awesome...waste of $300.  Oh and Jim Dandy and the Jetter was another $800, but that DID solve the problem.

How wonderful to have a fair and honest company come fix your pipe problems.
We have called Dan at rapid rooter twice while desperate with plumbing issues.
He came promptly, such a nice person and solved the clogs both times within the hour.
Most of all, it is incredible not to be told that it will cost more than it should and your stuck without the knowledge of what it really should cost.
Of course, there are times when it really is a bigger problem.

I would MOST DEFINITELY call rapid rooter and ask for Dan
Thank you for making a very concerning water issue into a non stressful fix.

Out to my house in Bellevue in an hour, 168$ for a main sewer line cleaning (roots about 100ft down), Dave was professional and personable. He snaked the line twice, the second time with a larger cutter and an extra 50 ft down to make sure it was clear, excellent service and 1/3-1/2 the price Mr. Rooter or Roto Rooter would have charged.
