Neptune Electric

I have a hydronic heating system which uses water pumps to move hot water through tubes in my condo floors.  And these pumps were controlled by a light switch in the kitchen which was pretty annoying now that the weather is getting cold.  So we decided we needed a thermostat installed so that the pumps would come on automatically.

I had a plumbing company which specializes in hydronic heating come out to take a look at it and see if they could install a thermostat.  The plumber looked at the wiring and didn't feel comfortable doing the thermostat installation because the condo builder had wired things up kinda funky.  He highly recommended calling Ben to have him check it out and figure out the wiring.

After scheduling the appointment, Ben was prompt to show up and dove right into the job identifying wires and connections.  I'm always interested in learning about home improvement stuff and he didn't mind explaining things to me and answering my dumb questions, which I liked.

He finally got things figured out but didn't have a thermostat with him that would do the trick so we had to schedule another time for him to come back out which was a little disappointing as I was really looking forward to having the thermostat up and running.  But it wasn't too big of a deal - especially because he billed me as if he had never left rather than charging me his first hour rate twice, which I thought was pretty cool.

While he was here, I had a couple other minor electrical things that I had him check out.  I really appreciated that he didn't mind taking care of them.

Ben seemed to be very knowledgable and definitely does good work.  He did a great job cleaning up after himself and leaving things the way he found them.  It's sometimes hard to find a place to take on small projects and Ben sure did a great job with our small tasks.  Plus his price was very reasonable.  I'll be calling him again next time I need some electrical work done.

I haven't had service with this company but I have been trying to call them to get a quote TWICE for the last few weeks. They didn't answer my calls so I left my voice mail messages. One week later they still haven't called me back. I understand this is the holiday season so they may be busy, but I'd expect at least a call back from them.

I scheduled Neptune Electric out to my work for a job. We needed a washer dryer connection set up as well as electricity brought out to an outer building. They were very responsive to communications which is much appreciated when you too are running a small business. They came and finished in a timely manner with no disruption to our day and stayed on budget. I cannot tell you how much it means to be able to find a company you can trust to do great work and be honest. I would recommend this company to anyone who asks.

Ben was great -- he arrived on time for the estimate and install, and his estimate was a little more than $100 cheaper than the one I got from another highly ranked yelp electrician. He completed the job with minimal patching required and worked quickly and efficiently. He accepted my check without issue and was easy to communicate with throughout the job. My only complaint was it took more than a week for him to get the quote out to me, and I get a little impatient waiting for things, so that seemed like a l o n g looong time. Worth it in the end, though!

Yep - I'm glad we worked with Ben of Neptune Electric. A real person and very qualified electrician. Relaxed yet professional.  Showed up on time! He installed new lights in our closet (removing an old light and moving the light switch to the opposite end of the closet).  We breathe a sigh of relief and gratitude to Ben every time we switch on that light - we can finally see our stuff! thank you Ben!

Ben Roberts is a friendly knowledgeable guy. Knocked out my small electrical project in my house with no problems. Showed up on time and saved me $200.
